I never thought we'd need to know what CHD stands for. Turns out it stands for Congenital Heart Defect... or a heart defect that is present at birth! Genevieve, our daughter with Down syndrome had a CHD, and did have open heart surgery to correct it. As we went through this process, we found out there was a lot we didn't know about CHDs, and we want to share some of those facts with you!
