Praised for its quality and famous for its drama, The Untouchables television show (1959-1963) roared like the decade it portrayed in grand, theatrical style. A controversial and Emmy award-winning series centered around the battle of Eliot Ness (Robert Stack) against largely fictionalized Depression-era criminals, its legacy in film and television has been felt from Hollywood to the halls of Congress. In recognition of the program's 60th Anniversary, The Untouchables Retrospective is a detailed and nostalgic account of American television's finest film noir hosted by filmmaker and Untouchables historian Kelly Lynch and will explore the production of all four seasons of the show, celebrate its most outstanding hours, document the cultural and artistic impact of its true and fictional stories and release a previously a 400-page unpublished chronicle of the series.
