A Voice In The Wilderness - Audio

On this Second Sunday of Advent, we look at Matthew's account of the time leading up to the public ministry of Jesus through the lens of the Book of Isaiah. We see how the Gifts of Spirit, as described by Isaiah, are sought in the long-awaited "stump of Jesse" and how the responsibility for utilizing these gifts and the virtues which they enable, passes from Jesus to his church. This visionary account helps us rethink the ways in which we celebrate Christmas.
