The tragic event we explore today was the moment that would ignite the Patriot Militia Movement throughout the nineties, a natural reaction to violent government repression of dissenting groups in America at the time. What would become known as, 'the siege at Ruby Ridge' began on August 21, 1992 in Boundary County, Idaho when six deputies of the United States Marshals Service (USMS) came to arrest Randy Weaver under a bench warrant after his failure to appear on federal firearms charges.Support the show'Silence is Acquiescence'
