In the Parable of the Unmerciful Servant, a man is forgiven a great debt. Yet just a few verses later, the same debt is put back on him when he fails to forgive someone in the same way. What is this parable all about? And can we really have what Jesus promises us if we can’t extend that same forgiveness to others?
