One , two , three , hello everybody . All right , that was really good . We synced it really good that time . So , everybody , welcome to the 93rd episode of the Ugly Quacking Duck Podcast .
We're getting really good at that . But yes , 93rd episode .
Why the 93rd ?
I thought we was on the 31st well , yes and yes , um , this is a season five , episode 31 . But originally I started out and , uh , we did what ? Uh , two months , three months on my thing's just too much , I don't remember , but anyway on buzz sprouts , free um hosting program .
And then , once we got done with the two or three months , then we started a pay program and what that meant is the first few episodes they didn't is the first few episodes they didn't keep . So we was at like five or six I don't remember what the count was before it started recording and keeping those .
Now I've got those on my database at home and I could upload them if I needed to , but they were the first few . So we started out , you you know , with season one and then we had a um season two that was a sci-fi we tried to work out didn't work real good , and I think we did it , or was it two ?
That one of the other seasons was when we tried to record . The seasons was when we tried to record interviews with people and we tried to separate those and the sci-fi stories with different seasons . That way , you know , you'd have a season two that was all sci-fi and you'd go one , two , three , four , but anyway they actually added up to a certain amount .
So once we got to season five , the podcast and episodes kind of started lining out and started feeling more comfortable . We got our equipment lined out , our vocals lined out sort of Not perfect , but it was going a lot more smoothly , if I could say that .

All right . Well , anyway , to make a long , drawed-out story short , we just went into our Buzzsprout and seen where our count was for our full podcast episodes and we're at 93 this time this episode .
So we're just going to leave it at season five from now on and , you know , count off the episodes from here on in until we change something major in the programming or in the recording or something . So season five is just pretty well where we got to get it to work smoothly .
You call this smooth Ha , you are cracked up literally in the head okay , sonny , thank you for that , but uh , yeah , that's what we're doing .
we're trying to make it from now on um straightforward , so everybody knows what season we're in and what episode , and hopefully we won't do a lot more changing . We'll just keep on podcasting , right ? I think that's what Buzzsprouts I think that's what their logo is Start podcasting .

Yeah , I'm ready to go . Well , I was hoping that we could do an episode without me adjusting stuff and talking about all the equipment , but I guess we couldn't . Anyway , this is the day before Thanksgiving . I had the day off , so I got some stuff done around the house and I played a little bit , and now I'm going to do a episode for Thanksgiving .
I don't know if it'd be very long . It may or may not be , we'll see how it goes . I've got my earthquake stuff to put out and I got that seven-day corner which I know .

So until then we're calling it the seven-day corner . Yeah , but that don't work good , because it's two weeks before we rebroadcast , right .
Yeah , it is . So it's been two weeks ago , but I try to go back a week , seven days , to collect most of my information . Now I've went back a little bit farther on some of them , like the weather and stuff , but anyhow , quit picking on me .

¶ Weekly Earthquake Numbers and Cat Chasing
. It's rained a little bit today , but however it's been a nice week , been windy , kind of cold . Off and on It'd get warm and then cold and warm and cold . Yeah , but it's been good and I've got to run around and chase the cats , ha ha .
Yeah , I know you like chasing them cats , but do they ever turn on you ?
No , I've got them fooled . They don't know any better .
Well , at least you're not really hurting them .
No , I wouldn't do that . I actually keep them from running out in the road . Them crazy cats will try to go out in the road and I have to chase them back into the yard . Crazy .
Yeah , we've lost one cat over that , and Roro actually witnessed it . It broke her heart .

Yeah , it was a horrible moment for her , but anyway , we won't talk about that . We don't want anybody being miserable . I'll tell you what . Well , you know what ? I don't really edit that way . I pretty well leave everything in there that we do anymore , even the long pauses . Um , some people don't like that . They want to hurry up and get through the episode , and that's fine . Um , some people actually watch it on double speed or 1.5 . I think the most popular is 1.5 speed .
But anywho , whatever , I'll just leave it normal and leave it human , and that way we can just leave it alone .
The only thing I do is try to post it and make sure the audio's decent , no quirks and the level decent , you know , and then then I just put it on board on the hosting site and let them deal with it you're such a nice guy , all right , I want to guess . Give me the info all right , let me get my little pamphlet out . I just got these numbers .
Okay , so I can give you the numbers from last time , which was 15th . This is the 27th , so you're looking almost 15 days ago we had 1,560 total earthquakes . So we're just going back seven days , so we'll see if our regular numbers will hold up . So , anyway , are you ready to guess ?
We're looking at 1,560 , and we're on the 27th now , so I think that's 12 days . So let me have it . Tell me what you think .

Oh , is that why you do it ? I didn't know , but anyway , I'm going to guess they went up because it's about time for them to go up . So let's guess 1795 , 1795 .
Well , that's a pretty good guess . They did go up and you thought they did , so you guessed right . But they went up more than that , believe it or not . The number was 1,565 before . Now there are 1,915 for the last seven-day count Wow , shooting way up there again . And the 2.5 , let's see what was the 2.5 and over count it was .
I'm getting a lot of papers here . I'm going to have to do something with all these but it was 249 at 2.5 and now they're at 244 , so it looks like they're holding true to our formula . It's kind of a loose formula , but . And the 4.5 count was 93 . And this last seven days they were 82 . So what do you think about that ?
I'm not sure . Tell me again the formula .
All right , I'll tell you again .
Don't make it too boring .
Okay , I won't , I'll try not to . Maybe If they go up in total amount , then usually the 2.5 and the 4.5 earthquakes , which are the larger ones , and six and all those they'd go down in amount . Now they may not go down in power , they just go down in amount and when they go back the total earthquakes go down .
So say , next week we read them off and the total earthquakes will go back down . What happens is the total for the 2.5 and the 4.5 give or take a few will usually go up . So what worthy rise is this week is anything under 2.5 . So the smaller earthquakes . So we get smaller earthquakes and then they start building up to bigger ones .
And that's when we have problems , because the big ones , if they end up being over you know five , you start having damage and you know if it's in the right spot you can get somebody hurt . And if they go over 6.0 , they really cause a lot of damage . And this week we only had one 6.1 or one over .
It was in Japan , it was on yesterday , I think , and the last time . Let's see if it holds true . Yep , we had a 6.6 and a 6.8 last time we did this numbers . Now that was 15 days ago .
So it's kind of hard to figure exactly when this is going to transpire , because you know it goes up and then it starts going back down and then it goes , starts going back up . So we figured seven days is about right to start catching it . Catching it , but sometimes you know it happens in five days , or it happens in 10 days or 12 days .
You know , we just don't know for sure . But that seems to be the cycle and anyway I'll shut up now . You've either caught on to it or you're not going to .
I think you've drained everybody of any brain willpower . You're just blah , blah , blah .
Okay , thanks for the vote of confidence . You know , change the subject real quick . I was just looking out the window and it's getting dark . This time of year is kind of a bummer because it gets dark sooner and there's a lot more cloudy days in the winter time and , uh , many rainy and sometimes snowy and yucky , so blah .
But it's's in there right now getting dark and woo-woo , it's 420 . And it's not quite dark yet , but it is sure getting close .

Yeah , okay , a couple of those cats look pretty mean . Have you met Loki yet ?
Oh yeah , I think he looks pretty mean mainly because he's got one ear tore off . I think he lost a couple of fights .
Yeah , well , I hate to see what the other guy looked like . He's a . You know he is an old cat . Look like he's a . You know he is an old cat . I don't know how old he was , but he come up here when we moved in , so he's what is that about 12 years ago ? He's at least that old , um , anyhow he . I seen him , uh , back . What was it ?
A couple years ago we had this male cat that we was kind of fond of . It was a stray though , but he got to being too much of a moncho cat and that Loki come up in the yard and started chasing him . And you talking about that old man running , that cat could run .
He chased that other cat out of the yard in the neighbor's yard , out in the woods , and we never did see that other cat again .
And the whole time , the whole time they were running , my wife was making a little snide comment and I can't remember exactly what it was , but it was so funny because the way she was saying it in a different voice and it was sounding like that cat that was running . It was something like he's going to catch me , he's going to catch me , but she was .
I wish I'd recorded it .
It was great but we laugh about that still .
Okay , so your point is , um Loki's a pretty tough old man , oh , you mean like Mike Tyson .
No , don't even bring that up . That was disappointing . Oh , I had to bring that up .
I watched that , remember . No , I don't remember you being in that living room , but okay , I'll believe you . Yeah , it was disappointing and disheartening , to say the least .
And probably a setup . But anyway , anyway , that's enough of that . Okay , that's enough of that . How about the rest of the ? What was it ?

Okay , what the seven-day corner is is I write down some things that's happened in the last week , maybe two weeks , since , you know , we haven't been on in a couple , 12 days to be exact and we , you know , kind of mention them , and especially something that sticks out in my mind and it just so happens , the first thing on the list was from 1115 .

I know what it was , because we were just talking about it .
Yep , you got that right . We were just talking about the Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fight . It was last Friday , which was the 15th , I do believe , and the headlines read you ready for this ? Jake Paul beats Mike Tyson by unanimous decision .
¶ Unbelievable News From the Universe
And my whole opinion on that is I wish I had not stayed up to watch that bout , that fight , that joke , that obscene show staged . I just go on and on again . It was just terrible .
Bruce , why don't you tell me how you really feel ? I don't think you've told me yet .
Oh yeah . Anyway , I was very disappointed , disheartened . I've already went over that and , like I said , I stayed up just to watch that show . I had to go to work next day . But I watched some of the other fights and they wasn't too bad , but that one was just . That's all I got to say .
Okay , well , I kind of agree with you . I didn't understand why people stood there and beat themselves like that .
But I didn't like any of the fights . I thought they were kind of ridiculous yeah , you probably would , but anyway we'll go on . The next thing I had are you ready for this ? There's some samples from the far side of the moon . They were collected by the Chinese . I say Change 6 mission .
I'm not sure what that is , but that was the moon mission that the Chinese did and they took samples from the far side and they have said , or they've been whatever , that 2.8 billion years ago the moon had volcanic activity , according to those samples . But the question that is to be had are you ready for this question ?
Oh , you're going to give it some conspiracy .
You bet I am . Everybody just accepts oh , scientists have brought back samples and we've did this and we've did that . First of all , did we really go up there to begin with , and are they up there now on their mission , and how did they get those samples back ? Anybody heard about any of that ?
I mean , nasa's even said we can't go up there and they don't know how we did it before , because they've lost all the records and all the mechanics to the time that we went up there before they were destroyed , I think is what the correct wording was . Think about that . A miracle , us getting up there back in what 69 ?
And all that information has been destroyed . The videos were lost . It's just unbelievable . But anyway , if you believe that , so you know , there you go . 2.8 billion years ago the moon had volcanic activity . Or is that all more lies ? Just to get you thinking about all that lies ? I don't know , I just thought that was interesting .
Lies , I don't know , I just thought that was interesting . Once again , they come up with a , a story that goes back 2.8 billion years ago . They can't go back a thousand years , but they want us to remember and go back 2.8 . Okay , anyway , uh . Next news headline , india successfully tested its first long-range hypersonic missile . That was on November 16 , 2024 .
These missiles are faster times the speed of sound , more than 3,000 miles per hour , and they have a range of over 930 miles . They fly lower than a ballistic missile and they are harder to detect and intercept . And I think that the one that Russia used against the Ukraine here a while back was a new fangled type of hypersonic missile .
I can't remember what they called that , but they just used that on Ukraine because Ukraine had shot some of our missiles into Russia's territory . So I think somebody's trying to get us involved in World War III . I don't know what you guys think , but anyway we try not to bring too much of that in there .
It says India now joins , ready for this , the US , china and Russia , who have demonstrated hypersonic capabilities . Now there's more countries that have claimed , but those are the only ones that have demonstrated them .
Cool huh , we might be able to do something neat like leave the Earth with those , but anyway , onward to the show , or with the show , or somehow with the show going somewhere .

I wouldn't use that point and phrase , but I do enjoy the not-so-normal news that have different headlines and we don't get bombarded with the garbage and negativity and all that stuff .
Yeah , and you enjoy arguing with them too . Well , that could be , but anyhow do you enjoy arguing with them too .
Well , that could be , but anyhow , do you guys own an iPhone ? How many of you own an iPhone ? Hold up your hands , okay , well , especially the ones without a headphone jack . You guys all bought into that . What Last two updates ? And that , when they come out , maybe the third three updates .
Anyhow , I hope you have a 3.5 millimeter lightning adapter already purchased , because supposedly iphone is going to quit making those . So what that means is that all the older iphones that can take , um , what is that called the lightning jack or the lightning adapter ? Yeah , that's a lightning plug to charge it and to hook up your headphones and all that stuff .
They're going to quit making those phones so they could . They're also going to quit making the adapter , which means you're going to be forced to update . So there's another . Most people update anyway in just a few years . But apple is now shifting away from its proprietary lightning port in favor of , ready for this , a USB-C jack .
Yep , that's what Android's been using and most other companies , so the adapter may also be going away . That's what they said . That's a statement from iPhone . All right , more reasons to upgrade , right ? Yeah , have you heard about the bomb cyclone that was in northwest , like in Washington State , oregon and Northern California , oregon and Northern California .
It blew in with tremendous force and it had rain with it and stuff . There was like 500,000 , 600,000 residents in the state of Washington . That was out of power . That was on 11-21 . That was on 11-21 . I haven't checked recently to see if there's any more news on that information , but it was wild .
And then the northeast , like in New York , got a heavy snow just a couple days ago , I think . No , it's been a little bit longer than that , but they got a good heavy snow up there . So it looks like winter's starting in .
We had the Rockies got hit and Denver not Denver but Colorado , maybe Denver too , I don't know , but anyway , looks like it's moving on in . I think we're supposed to , here in southern illinois , get some this weekend . Somebody said we might actually have a white thanksgiving . I hope not . There's going to be a lot of traveling .
We'll go over that in a minute . But anyway , how about this news ? The volcano in southwestern Iceland again began erupting on Wednesday night , which was 1120 , and peaked around 2 am Thursday morning . The volcano has been long dormant around 800 years but this year has erupted several times .
I think I wrote that down and I didn't verify it , but I was thinking it was the beginning of this year . Early year , like in the spring or something like that , it started erupting and it's erupted several times . So , yay , they had some pictures on the internet of the volcano spewing . It was kind of cool . Anyway , I like that interesting , though .
Now another story of ancient water on mars . Guys , any of you guys seen that ? All right . So it's been a a thing where there's been some different stories come out that mars , years ago , had water on it , and they've basically proven that by their means . Again , how do they know ? But yep , mars' new . What the new curtain is that ?
Right University , I wrote that down and I don't think that's right . But anyway , they've led a study of the Black Beauty meteorite . Okay , so we've had NASA tell us that there's moisture and you know old river ducks and stuff on Mars . And now this Curtin University never even heard of that before has led a study of the Black Beauty meteorite .
They found zircon grain and found geochemical fingerprints in this meteorite . It was rich with water floods or water-rich floods , whichever way you want to say that , and it was all elemental evidence . Get that . There wasn't straight-out water , it was elemental evidence and that's you ready for that ?
Zircon is a mineral and a gemstone found on Earth , but they're saying this meteorite came from Mars and Mars has had water because of this meteorite . Okay , another scientist told us it was so , so we're all going to believe it , right ?
Boy , you're on a roll with this conspiracy . I don't believe stuff .
Well , I just think we take for granted .
Every time a scientist says , or they say , a scientist says it and they come out with some study that says something's 2.5 million years old or 2.5 billion , or 2.8 billion , and hey , they had a study over here and it said this and then they come up with a rock that says the same thing , we're're all supposed to jump up and go Hallelujah , I believe it .

Do you guys remember the mini moon ? All right , do you guys remember the mini moon ? I talked about it a couple months ago when it first got in the news , where they first spotted it , and it was the first measurement that I found on the Internet . It was like 36 feet . And then , lo and behold , the next one I read said 33 feet .
And then , lo and behold , the next one I read said 33 feet . And ever since then it was 33 , 33 , which I think is very weird when things get numbered to 33 or 66 . It's kind of weird that they do that . But originally I think it started out 36. , and I even wrote that down and told where I found it when I reported on it before .
But anyway , now they're still claiming it's 33 feet , but it's bus size . Now I've never seen a 33-foot-long bus . But you know , they're saying it's the bus size asteroid . So we have a 33-foot bus-sized asteroid . Now you figure that out .
Anyway , it supposedly got pulled in to the Earth's orbit about two months ago , but it wasn't pulled in quite enough to keep it locked in . So it's going to escape and it's leaving pretty soon . Now , what's this mean ? I don't know . Don't know what it means . But what the interesting part of this story is they come up with now that it's on its way out .
They've come up with the ability somehow to study it and scientists believe it could have been a chunk of our own moon . Really , somehow they studied this 33-foot-long or wide bus-size meteorite that's over a million miles away from us , or a billion , I don't remember the numbers . I think it was a million , two million , something like that .
They somehow figured out a way to study that , get that information back to us and tell us they have found some substances in it that is similar to our moon . So they believe it comes from our moon , or part of it comes from our moon , or something like that . Anyway , that's what they believe .
They're just again sharing a bunch of baloney to you because they're scientists , they've been educated , they can tell you what's right . There you go , believe it . Anyway , I found that interesting .

Yep . And again , scientists have compared that to samples they got from Russia and NASA . That collected these samples in the past , I guess when we went to the moon back in you know 69 , and we couldn't have went to the moon , and I'm not sure how Russia got them , because I don't think Russia ever went , did they ? But anyway , yeah , they did , supposedly .
Okay , I won't get in trouble for all this . Let's just talk about the Americans going for Thanksgiving tomorrow and we'll just have to shut up after all this . But supposedly there's going to be 80 million Americans traveling over Thanksgiving weekend Now's what they just released and a record 71.7 million will travel by car . Is anybody going to be home to eat ?
That's a lot . I hate to see the highways during the holidays . That is crazy . But all right , let me repeat that 80 million Americans will travel over Thanksgiving weekend and a record 71.7 million will do that travel by car holy smokes .
I think I'll take a flight and just see what the interstate looks like . Well , it's supposed they're probably traveling today , so they'll be where they want to be for dinner tomorrow , and then they'll stay saturday or friday and then they'll head back saturday or sunday . So I don't want to be on the road with you , bruce , today or Saturday and Sunday .
Well , I'm glad you don't want to be , because I'm not going to be on the road either . Friday I'm going to be at work . I got to be there early . They want me there at six because they're going to get opened up at six . Yay for me . And then Friday , that's Friday . I get off . Saturday I go in at 1 .
So I'll just go from here to my work location and then Sunday . I don't know if I'm working Sunday or not , but either way I'm not going on the highway .
