You are listening to the Ugly Quacking Duck Podcast . Well , very good , sunny , I think we got off track a little bit , but we kind of synced up . How are you doing today ?
I'm doing great . I am doing great .
Are you going to work today about the next episode ? Right , even though we don't plan them very good . But that's what we're doing . We are doing that this weekend and we're just gonna , you know , see what happens . We'll probably just go over and the earthquakes , yeah , earthquakes , no , not , yay , no .
I don't think you ought to say yay on earthquakes . Them things are bad .
Yeah , you're right , I misspoke . I just got excited about having something to talk about , so you know , that's why we did that . But anyhow , we'll probably just go over the earthquakes and cut it short , because we all got things to do and this is the blast . You know , blast from whatever , just a quick one . But anyhow , I've got a shout out today .
Before I forget we had . Let me pull it up so I can read it , even though it's not hard to read . Um , we have a fan mail from 7600 in Mount Vernon , illinois , and it says Happy Father's Day . So that come in from last week's episode , week's episode , and we want . We promised everybody , if they'll text us on our fan mail , we will shout out to them .
So , hey , thank you for your fan mail , 7600 . There's your shout out , and wait a minute , we've got something else for you and I've got all my equipment up . Now I gotta get it shut down . Okay , there you go . 7600 at mount vernon . You've been goosed .
Goose , oh , you think you're funny . Oh boy , do we get to do a joke today ?
Sure , You'll have to look one up and you get to . We like the dad jokes . You know they're stupid , they don't make sense .
That's what we like okay , I'll look one up there you go .
All right , if you guys notice any other weird noises on our microphones , we have switched back . Um , we uh couldn't get that other mic to sound right with my voice my voice don't work good with most microphones so we hooked up the condenser mic that we had bought earlier this year and we put some noise canceling in it .
So if you hear any noises in there , that's what's going on and I don't know how it's going to sound when I get it all posted . So I thought I'd try it on this short episode . Um , that way I'd know whether I wanted to continue or try something different . But when the air conditioner is running it's making a little bit of noise .
Now when it kicks off , I don't have any problems . But you know how that goes .
Anywho , let's go on with a joke , alright , alright , I got one for you . Here it is . Are you ready ? Get ready , here we go . What does , or how does the ocean say hi ?
It waves . All right , that wasn't too bad of a joke , sort of .
Well , I thought it was good .
Yeah , well , that was a good dad joke . We'll have to keep that up and go forward .
But anyhow . So what are you up to today ? Well , I am going to go chase cats again .
You know there are four , one mama we lost one right , so we got one mama and we got four kittens .
They're going to grow up and you're going to be in trouble . Nah , they like me . The ones I chase are the ones out in the backyard . You know that black and white one .
Yeah , he's funny . Oh yeah , he's afraid of me .
I can get about a foot away from him and he runs . Yeah , that's the way he does with me . It's funny . I'll sneak up behind him and he won't see me and I'll go boo and he'll jump .
Yeah , see , you're just ornery .
No , not really , I just have fun .
So um , let's move on to earthquakes . What do you think ? I don't want to string this out . This is a blast episode and we want to get out and enjoy the weekend .
All right , let's do some earthquakes All right , hang's do some earthquakes .
All right , hang on , let's get the page pulled up .
All right , Sonny , are you ready to go ? Yes , I am . Let's go let's go , and Lily is asleep in there on the couch , so I get to guess and I will win , because nobody can guess against me . Yay .
You are so right , unfortunately . Okay , let's do this Ready . So the earthquakes last week was 1965 , 1965 . That was a good year too . So what do you think , sonny , is the total for this year or for this year ? Hello , for this last seven days , and I'll give you a hint .
It's showing the right theory that I had said before , and that's all I'm going to tell you oh , you're no fun , so did it go up or down .
Up or down um 1965 , I'm gonna say it went up and I want to say 2,000 . 2,000 .
All right , sonny , 2,000 . You know what you got really close it was . The total for the last seven days was 2,016 . Man , that was close and that was good . Man , that was close , that was good , we like that . And what do you think the 2.5 and above magnitude earthquakes was for the last seven days ?
Since they went up for the last seven days , all the total went up well , it looks like most of the time when they first go up on the first seven days , then the 2.5 and the 4.5 go down . So it's like it's building up , and that's what happened this time . This week the 2.5 and above was only 255 earthquakes and last week was 259 .
And the 4.5 and above was only 80 and last week they were 99 . So if this holds true , next week they will probably fall a little bit on the total , but the 2.5 and the 4.5 will go up but the 2.5 and the 4.5 will go up .
Oh , I think I'm seeing what you're saying . Okay , let's try that next week . Remember that , listeners and partners . You remember that he said that .
And then , when it don't happen , we can go , ah yeah . Well , I'm not saying I'm a scientist , I'm just saying it kind of looks that way and we had only one earthquake that was over 6.0 .
It was exactly 6.0 , to be exact .
But , it was in Peru , so pray for those folks . Now we had 84.5 and above , so that means 79 earthquakes . That was almost 6.0 , which can be devastating if it hits in the right spot . So it's still . Even though they're 80 , it's still worrisome when we have that many earthquakes .
All right , let's go to . What do we need to go to now ?
Well , I think we need to thank everybody for coming on .
