Episode description

So what are the characteristics we should all look for in organisations that have created a great culture?

With remote working becoming a permanent part of how we now conduct and run our businesses, creating a positive and proactive culture has become every employee’s responsibility.

Nowadays, creating a great culture, starts and ends with leadership. However, those organisations that drive a top down approach don’t necessarily cultivate a culture of trust and freedom demotivating staff to stay on top of matters and achieve the corporate vision.

It seems that those leaders that encourage responsibility among employees by creating a culture that promotes and fosters accountability at all levels, are generally more successful and become ‘employers of choice’ in their chosen field. Holding people accountable is one of the most important things a leader can do, but it is also one of the hardest things to achieve.

On today's episode we discuss:

  • individual contribution versus team contribution and why organisations should  value them differently
  • the cultural fundamentals behind accountability, responsibility and the sense of ownership
  • the relationship that exists between processes, tools and peoples mindsets
  • our Seven tips for building an accountable and responsible culture
