Episode description

The left wants you to think America is evil — just some oppressive, racist hell that crushes everyone except straight white men. For this podcast, Lisa fights back against this leftist poison. Someone has to do it, because anti-Americanism has overtaken the Democratic Party and so many of our elite institutions. But Lisa isn't alone. She discusses the importance of freedom and the power of the American dream with Maximo Alvarez, who escaped Cuba, came to America as a young boy, and went on to become a successful businessman.

Up next, The Truth with Lisa both part of the gang which freedom is slipping away in America. The country we once loved is being taken over by communist ideals. The indoctrination is happening in our schools, the military, the government, and even corporate America. The notion that America is somehow inherently evil, that it's racist, that it's oppressive, has now become mainstream for the left. But this country is worth fighting for. Freedom is worth fighting for, and we will

continue doing that on The Truth with Lisa Booth. Yeah, welcome back to The Truth with Lisa Booth. If you have been listening to the show for the past few months, you know that I am extremely concerned about the direction or country as heading. Over the past few months, we have all seen left as politicians act like totalitarian dictators, locking down cities, shutting down businesses, denying you the opportunity to worship, denying kids the opportunity to go to school,

telling us how to live our lives. And that comes at a time when censorship in America is also on the rise. Corporations are trying to bully conservative states into submission, adopting the policies of the left, adopting the narratives of the left, while Democrats and Congress and the White House are trying to establish one party rule through packing the Supreme Court, nationalizing our elections, and adding liberal senators through statehood.

You also have Democrat media figures talking about deep programming Trump supporters over seventy four million people. That's the same language that Communist Party of China uses about the Muslim weaker population which they're committing genocide against. You might be listening and say that sounds kind of extreme, but here's the point. Freedom isn't inherent in a country. It has to be fought for, it has to be protected, it has to be preserved, you have to want it as

a nation. So when I was thinking about all these concerns that honestly come to mind to me every single day, I'm constantly worried about the direction or country is heading, constantly feeling like communism is at our doorstep right here in America. So, in thinking about all this and thinking about who to have on the show, was a guest

Maximo of Aris came to mind. You all at home might remember him from the Republican National Convention, and he gave an incredibly emotional speech talking about his journey, talking about escaping, fleeing communist Cuba and coming to America at age thirteen. He has had a tremendously successful career in the oil industry. He is the founder and heads Sunshine Gasoline. So he is the epitome of the American dream. And if there is anyone who knows how quickly a country

can lose its freedom, it's Maximo. So that's a going to talk to him about today. Maximo, thanks so much for coming on the Truth with Lisa Booth. It's such an honor to talk to you today about freedom. And we're also neighbors. So I just actually just like left New York City to to move to Florida for the primary reason of wanting to come to a free state. Welcome, thank you, thank you, sir. I'm in Miami. I love it so Maximo. At the RNC convention, you know, you

talked about your story. You fled Cuba at the age of thirteen as part of Operation Pedro Pan. What do you remember about Cuba? Well, I remember what's really lee about Cuba, and a lot of the things that you know amazes me. People did not know that Cuba in the fifties was pretty much another state of our great United States of America. Um, we're an independent country, of course, but we enjoyed the same standard of living. Our currency

was at the same value of the American dollar. S a matter of fact, the Cuban pesol circulated as much as the dollar. We had all of the benefits that you have in the United States. Just to give you an idea, when General Motors would put out the cars to the market, let's say, let's say in October or September, a month before they were already sent to Cuba, where a lot of American people will go to Cuba by an automobile right around, send it in the ferry, and

not pay the taxes. So you could buy a Chevrolet or the Forward for any vehicle just about for the less that you could buy in the United States, because you say the taxes. Cuba was what it is at the time in the fifties, similar to what it is Las Vegas today. People tourism flourished, people went there to have a good time. As a matter of fact, you could just you know, fly to Cuba and less than an hour goal and stay the weekend in hotels just as luxurious as the ones in Miami and the ones

in New York. So that's the cue that I remember. I also remember our education, which he was really impacted. And this is the biggest impact that we had when we lost our country. I remember how my mom, when I didn't behave, used to threaten me that if I didn't behave the next day, I would not be allowed to go to school. That was instant. Be goes. Oh my lord, I couldn't miss school. As a matter of fact,

I don't remember what ever missing school one day. I remember going to school when I had a fever and we had a stomach ache. I wouldn't tell my mom because I was afraid I was going to be left at home. And that is the things that we remember that all of a sudden, from one day to the next, everything changed. My school was confiscated, all the private property was taken away. People were getting killed against a wall. They were running trials in mass trials because they didn't

have enough time in the day to execute people. So you go to trial at nine o'clock in the morning, you get convicted at ten eleven o'clock. You against the wall. No appeals, nothing, our system was pretty much the same as the one we have here in the United States, and all of a sudden that change. I remember crying and being upset because as Castle takes over, my friends were marching in the streets. Did you and our revolutionary kids?

A mom and that wouldn't let me do that? And I remember I said, I want to be with my friends. These are my neighbors. This is the same kids to go to my school. Thank god Mom and Dad knew because they understood communism because many years before they migrated

to Cure running away from Spain. So I have that in my blood because not only I learned from Mom and dad, which when you're young, you don't seem to pay much attention to that, but then it happened to me also it happened to them, and it happened to everybody who's ever come to this country looking for one thing, which is called freedom. And you know why I'm so sad today because I saw this coming. I not only said it in that speech at the convention, what I've

been saying this before. I started saying that when all of a sudden we had a low passing us in our country, that you couldn't say the prayer in school. That's the beginning, that's how they do. I saw it when when you will be offended because you were called a name. I saw it when when you have to be politically correct. I saw these things coming and every time there's a shooting, how they want to take your guns away. I saw it when when even the Catholic

people say nothing against abortion. This is something that really hurts because very few people, I for one, who had never imagined that this country would be vulnerable to communism. But long before, if you go back in history and you hear the speech that Nikita Kruschev said. I think it was nineteen at the United Nations. By the way, Nikita Kruschev, for those of you who may not know, it's the equivalent of putting today in Russia. And he had visited Fidel Castro in Cuba, and then he went

and made a speech the United Nations. And in that speech she says, one day the United States of America will the communist and we will not even have a war. We will infiltrade, their education will infiltrade, or society will infiltrade their their their youth. And I want to play this clip for the audience from your RNC convention, and then UM, I want to ask you a question after it. Let's play this. I have seen people like this before.

I've seen movements like this before. I've seen ideas like this before, and I am here to tell you we cannot let them take over our country. I heard the promises of Thede or Castro, and I can never forget all those who grew up around me, who looked like me, who suffered and starved and died because they believe those empty promises. They swallow the communist poison pill. Sir. You know, as we were listen saying too earlier, you're talking about

communism coming to here on the American soil. As we just heard or RNC convention, you had talked about how people in Cuba had swallowed the communist poison pill. Have Americans swallowed the communist poison pill? Not only they have swallowed, they digesting it. Listen to the media. They're no longer objective. You can tell how much they hate this country. Look at our our academia. Our kids are not being didn't doctrinated.

They are taught that Americans are bad country. There were a bunch of racists, that we're bad people and would have to pay back. If this country was racist, I wouldn't be here. If this country was a racist country, most of us willn't be here because even some people in your family came from another country. This country was made of immigrants. That we have racist people in this country, of course we do. Do we have bad people, yes we do. Do we have bad teachers, yes we do.

Do we have bad police people, yes we do. But don't bling in the country for that, because we have a justice system that will penalize you and punish you if you are a bad person, if you are a racist. But don't don't make our children believe that we have to pay back because America is a bad country. And

this is what is so sad. Whenever we make a donation, most people who make donations try to find out where is that money going, who are you helping, What is the American Cancer Society, or whether it's your church, or whether it's a politician you have, how much money they're sending into Black lives matter? And people want to understand that this threat ladies to control this company. H are bragging about Marcist Leninism, Their communists they tell you that,

and nobody understand what that means. And then you have people who are supposed to be role models to our kids who tell you, I'm afraid when I leave the house in the morning because I happened to be black. Really, are you afraid that you make in three million dollars in this racist country for shooting the basketball? Isn't that sad? And then when you have a black person to tell

you a lien, this is our problem? Is ours? What is the thirteen year old kid doing out in the streets at two o'clock in the morning with a gun? Was mom and dad? The police officer didn't go there to kill that kid. The police officer went there because somebody called made a call in distress, m somebody who's being robbed or hurt, and the police officers were there. It just happens there was a bad police officer made a mistake. Okay, that's fine, But that kid is not

a hero. That whole is not a hero. How can you, I dare you? How can you give somebody's family million dollars before the trial? How can you have the president of the country try to influence a trial. A congresswoman influence and trial. Just think about that. That is all communism. That's incredible. Maximum. Hold on just one second. We've got to get to a break and then we'll get right back to it. Obviously, an independent judicial system is key

to a free country. You had talked a little bit about earlier, when you know Cuba had changed, that was something that was taken away, you know, as you're discussing now, I mean, we had people like Joe Biden Way in on the join George Floyd trial. We had people like Max and Waters Way and you even had the mayor of Minneapolis Way and all putting pressure obviously on the jury. Are we losing that independence for a judicial system in America right now? Just think of this. Okay, and again

remember the communist manifesto. Okay, the end justify the means, so they'll do whatever it takes to get whatever they want because they're justified. Okay. So now I think right after the election, how many lawsuits were filed to try to prove that the election was not fair, that there was fraud committed, and this the lawsuits weren't even heard, they were not even the Supreme Court won't even here. And then you think these are normal in the United States.

Could there be a possibility that some of these judges were threatened? Do you think it's possible for Mr Depstein to commit suicide in jail? Really? Is there any Is there any possibility that he may have been murdered? Because do you know how many people who have gone to jail? Is that guy testified? So do you don't think that they do that? You don't think that Castle killed the same,

very same people that helped them. You know when when when when Castle takes over, there's a list of groups of families of persons and companies who helped him take over power American companies like A T and T and Coca Cola. Guess what happened to those companies? They were confiscated because once they take over, they don't want to be inbedded to anybody. Now, I hope you understand the thinking trying that I'm trying to tell you right now. Here is the problem. You know, you know that the

justice system is compromised. You know that the FBI has been compromised, that the CIA has been compromised. When when a guy who heads the FBI says that he licks some information Mr Comy did and he's out free. Do you know there's something wrong when they try to impitch a president when they don't have any any evidence, and it goes all the way to the Senate. But yet these people that we have all kinds of evidence of all the crimes that they have committed, they don't even

get called to a trial. You have to think things that were not imaginable, imaginable in our United States of America are happening now. You have never imagined that with the with the strike of a pencil, you take the walls down and you open the doors. By the way, are those people are opened the doors to their homes? They still have senses, don't we? But they're the ones then, the ones who just want anybody to come to this country. By the way, I'm a member of the Peter Pan group.

So this is right after Cuba, after Castle took over this county of hours accepted fourteen thousand children. I was one of them that came to this country as a miner on accompanyed by ourselves. So we had a program called the Pedro Pan program. Okay, that was that was sponsored by Catholic Charities and the State Department. We came over here fourteen thousands. Everybody knew who we were. Everyone had a name, a mom and dad, a place of birth,

we were fingerprinted, they knew exactly who we were. So in almost six years, this country accepted fourteen thou children. By the way, we have done very very well. I happened to be one of those, and I'm very proud of that. Now do you imagine that in the last ninety days we have over eighteen thousand on accompanied children and you don't even know who they are, and you know they're being smuggled, and you know this, this, this, this shouldn't have been abused, and nobody says anything that

is a crime. Why do you think that, you know, people like President Biden are not as tough on illegal immigration as President Trump was. Why do you think that is President Biden? The poor guy. I pray for him all the time. But President Biden has no clue what he's doing. President Biden is ordering following orders from China. China has the world on its knees, believe me, not only United States, but almost the world. And that is

communism because they wont one world order. They want one currency, they won one government, they won one of anything, and it just so happens. It just so happens that the Chinese are very disciplined, They're very intelligent, and they have a lot of money, and they knew, degreed on the selfishness of some of these people, and they bought them. The Bidens have been purchased, just like the Clintons and the Obama's and all these people. They have been purchased,

and they don't care. They don't care about anybody but them selves. You mentioned China, and you had talked about the Black Lives Matter movement. Not obviously black lives, but Black Lives are movement Big BLM, a movement of Marxist organization. And one of the things that they believe is they don't believe in the nuclear family. And you look at China and one thing they do is they have the weaker population who's suffering a genocide, pledge of the children,

pledge allegiance to the state. Why do communists want people to trust the state more than their family or their community. Number one, the communists know any better. They don't know any better, okay, because they're being indoctrinated. There are people in Qa today that we still give you a life of del castra Okay, uh, this is no different than than our Navy seals. These are no different system of

our CIA people. You know, the people who you know, people who work in the Secret Service, they're willing to put their body in front of the person they're protecting. They suppose that that that's not normal. You really have to plain people mentally to be able to do that. So so these people don't know any better. And here is the problem that we have. Okay, our culture, it's based on Judeo Christian values. This is very simple. Okay.

We cannot lie, we cannot kill, we cannot steal. We have to own one on that, and we have to have a god, etcetera, etcetera. And then we have to forgive because we are a forgiving society. We're forgiving culture. That's the way we learned. So what happens is we do not understand and we cannot figure it out that there's some bad people out there that take advantage of that, and they appeal to your emotions. Who who whoever saw a police officer with his name somebody's neck, I would

feel horrible. This is really horrible and bad. However, they don't show you who is a person on the ground, What has he done? What's his life? Now, there's no excuse to kill somebody who's on the ground that there's no question about that. That's that's bad, that's wrong, and that's that is punishable. But don't make a hero or somebody who's a whole um. And then we accepted because we're Christians, because we have our faith that says you

have to forgive. Communist people. Don't forgive. Communist people do whatever it takes to get their objective. They can lie, they can cheat you, they can kill you. It's okay, they justify. And this is what American people, people in the world who have the same values that most of us have, do not understand. And this is what has happened in this country. And this is what has happened

in this country. I remember President Trump saying this country will never be socialists, and I started shaking my head. I said, do you understand we already socialist even infiltrated the Catholic Church. They've infiltrated the Congress, didn't federate the White House. What do you mean that they cannot be because it's a slow process. And and and again, because we are very forgiving people because of our values, we

always become accepted. And then we then realize we allow these people to use a very constitution that gives us the right that we have, but when it comes to the other side, then they use the same constitution against us. So I think my question you earlier when I was talking about the family units. So my concern and the how I see it is that the reason why communists marks as all these people want to de emphasize family.

They want to take the focus away from family, They want to take the focus away from community, they want to take the focus away from individualism, they want to take the focus away from God. And the reason why is because if you believe in all those things, you're free. If you rely on the state, if you rely on the government, if you're beholding to the government, they own you. All you need to do is read the book by his soul A Lynsky, and he summarizes the eight most

important things to take over a nation. This is very simple. Number one, you control healthcare. If you control health care, you control the people's lives. You create an insurmountable amount of debt. Look what they're doing, They're sending out thillions of dollars like you give out lollipops. You'll get to the point that we cannot we cannot handle that debt.

So what do you do to raise the taxes? And you raise the taxes to a level that people can no longer own property, people can no longer own a business because the taxes would be crazy. In the meantime, the poor people now are the cheerleaders of that, okay, because they're already convinced the poor people that they're poor because of rich people. They make sure that they take God away from do you make sure that the family in nucleus is done. Make sure that that the basic

values are destroyed. Make sure that kids are no longer educated, they're indoctrine needed. Make sure that people hate each other and the hatred. Make sure that the blacks hate the whites. Make sure that the rich hate the poor. May be sure that the people who live in the city hate the people who live in the farm. It's all part of the communist manifesto. And soul a Lynsky point is that very very well gun control. Every time there's a shooting, you want to have gun control, you know why, because

they're afraid. The only way are this is a civil war, so they want to make sure there's no Listen, there's no weapons in Cuba. There's no weapons in Venezuela. What do you think they're being What do you think castle has been there for sixty years? But that is all in the book by soul A Lynsky, How to take Over a Country The eight major important things. Make sure that everybody's unwell, fair, and make sure that everybody depends on you. On the government of course, so it is

the equal distribution of misery. As Mr Churchill pointed out right after the war, he knew he saw it because every country that is under communist region, it's just nothing but misery. How far away are we from becoming Cuba? Well just look what happened in the last ninety days. Just just think with the signature on a piece of documents. We went from the number one exporting oil country in

the world too again becoming dependent on oil. Remember how many years we were crying that we could no longer be depending on for in oil. All of a sudden we became the number one all exported in the world. Nobody pay more than two two dollars, don't half dollars for the count of castline in the last ninety days, gonna over the dollar and now we depended on for a while again. And how many people were left out of a job so that you can send more thrillions

of dollars to people because we destroy your job. Loo. What has happened at the border, and now they want to make they if h R one passes, the fraud that they committed in November will now become legal where you don't even need an ID to vote, where anybody come bote without being registered with anybody in an address will receive a mail in ballot, where a mail in ballot would be counted ten fifteen days after the election. Are you kidding me? And nobody seems to understand what

is happening because it's happening so fast. This is crazy. So I saw it because I saw how many people were being killed in front of my eyes as a little boy. I saw I woulda had to run. My family was broken up, the family who would never involved in anything that had to do with politics, The family that grew up from foreign people who think to kill up when they were teenagers, who work their lives to make sure that their children would be educated. And this

is what I am afraid. I'm afraid that the next generation, the first time ever in our country, it's not going to be better than the previous generation, because if you look at our history, every generation is always better than the previous generation. This is what I'm afraid of, because people who hate this country, people who hate capitalism, people who hate they think they're entitled. You entitled, do nothing. You have to work for what you have. I'm a

typical example. What a great country, what a generous country for the kid to come over here, we're barely the closer he's wearing by himself and all of a sudden being able to impact thousands of families because this is where we learned with the generous family, with the generous people, and we share voluntarily, but we do because those are our family values. You destroy the family, you destroy the foundation of the world. The family is nothing but the foundation.

And I remember Monsignor Bryan or wash the Irish priest who was pretty much involved of all of us. He was the one who really masterminded the operation and of bringing the kids from Cuba on a company. I remember having belongs with him and telling me about the importance of basic values because if you impact those in children of the certain age, those family values would be the foundation of the future. And this is what we are under thread right now. Our kids in school are being

taught the mom and dadda's are racists. The mom and dadda are not necessarily good all the time. That is okay to choose the sex that you choose to be. That is okay to kill a child if you don't want him to have a child because you just made a mistake. That you don't have to say a prayer in school, because who the hell is God? And this is the problem that we have. So my God bless America. And I hope I am totally incorrect. Maximum hold on just one second. We've got to get to a break,

and then we'll get right back to it. President Reagan said one of my favorite quotes of all time, and he said, I just think it's one of the most important things that anyone has ever said. And he said that freedom is never more than one generation from extinction. It has to be fought for, it has to be defended by each generation. There's this sentiment in America by so many people that somehow America is just always going to be free. It's just it's always going to be free,

no problem, nothing to worry about. But you've lived this before, You've gone through this your family or you said your your parents lived through this before. What would you say to younger generations who just think, you know what, America is always going to be free. This that I can do as son old man, as a human being, is to continue to fight, to make sure that people understand the evils of communism, that kids just not be followers, to be leaders. To please find out the truth, learn,

learn what is happening. If you're gonna send a dollar to Black Lives matter, just look into what they do, who they are, how much money they have, Where, where does the money go? Just just just don't follow like sheep. Just learn it's it's I know, it's it's much easier to follow, doesn't take much. But you must learn. You must educate yourself. You must understand what is good long term, and then nothing is free. When somebody promises you just

gonna give you something, always be concerned. Why why would somebody want to give me something for nothing? That is not correct. Now let me tell you what we have done. And you know they said I will fight until I die, because you know, I'm a faith and people of faith fight until we die. We are passing a law in the state of Florida, and we're blessing in the state of Florida because we have the right people governing the state.

We're passing a law at schools will have to teach day was a Communism are all levels and and we're doing the curriculum. Okay, We're not going to trust the teachers just to do that on their own. So that is one way, uh that I think we should be involved and continue to fight. We cannot accept where people say, when somebody calls you a racist, you're gonna need to defend yourself that we are not racist. That that bs that I don't value you because of the colorless skin

or your accent or where you came from. I value to use a human being. And if you happen to be from Cuban, you're a bad person. You're a bad, empty one. I don't care. You need to find that fight for your possession. We're going to politically correct ourselves out of our country. We're doing that already. Those of us who work harder, we'll always accomplish more than those who may not. And and that is the fact of life. That's what we need to learn. And and life is

not fair. We need to learn how to live in an unfair life and constantly trying to make it better but but not worse. Don't don't. Don't make promises that you know you cannot do. Don't promise me in free education when you know you cannot finance that. Don't promise me a free education on something that there's no no reason to do that because there's no demand. So if I study engineering, I'm going to have a better chance that if you study I guess music or how to

play the guitar. That doesn't mean that that's what you like, that's what you follow, and that's what you do. That is fine, but then understand the consequences. This thing about no child left behind. Really I was never in a year in school when at least one of two kids we're left behind. Because if you cannot master first grade, how can you go to second grade? You are not doing that child good. You heard him, You're just moving

him alone like you do with cattle. And this is the problem that we have in America today that just it seems that we we need to be sorry for everything that we have done. We need to be proud of what we have done because he is the greatest country in the world. You are the American dream. I mean as you came here at thirteen, you built yourself up, yourself made man. Nineteen seventies six you open Sunshine Citrus. Seven you started Sunshine Gasoline Distributors. You're very successful man

through hard work and your own self determination. What would you tell young people about the possibilities in America? That what they can achieve if you know they work hard and they put in the effort. Number One, they need to understand that this is the only country where you can start a business, any business, or any idea from the trunk of your car and become very successful company

companies that impact thousands and thousands of people. So what I would teach kids is always just learn, get get find the facts. Just don't listen to the media and follow uh the bill. Just don't be like cattle do and and always always remember the family values. The Judeo Christian values are those that make us better people. Those values are the ones that give you incentive to work hard. We are not going to succeed at everything that we do. We can be running the race and there will be

always somebody who is faster than you. They may be some of us who may follow hup. We're racing the case to get up and keep on racing because eventually you'll get to the goal line. So we need to do is make sure that we have faith and we have hope, and that we continue to work hard, and that everything that we have has to be earned. Do not depend, Do not become dependent on government. Do not become dependent on anybody. As much as you can. Once you have the two hands and the two legs and

something called the human brains, you can accomplish anything. Dream as high as you can, because if you're able to dream it, you're able to accomplish. It's beautiful and wise words from you, Maximo. It's such an honor to talk to you today. I share your concerns about freedom slipping away in America, but this country is worth fighting for. Freedom is worth fighting for. Our values are worth fighting for. So it's such an honor to have this discussion with you.
