So do your home a favor. Fourteen hundred bucks fully installed, the best system's lowest prices, waterpros dot net. Now I'm going to talk about something. I'm going to make some pronouncements here. I want your

comments. I want to make some pronouncements. I think I'm qualified to make pronouncements after judging and listening and talking and investigating, I'm I'm going to say this, and if you disagree, please tell me where I'm wrong. Because I, unlike other people, is mark on by the way, Unlike go ahead, I can't wait to hear your Unlike other people, I change my mind when I'm wrong or right, unlike some people I know who's not going to be mentioned right now, but say you to see what I mean about

him? Okay, hold on, I'm going to make a pronouncement. There are no good There is no good food that comes from food trucks. There. What brought that on? I don't want to I don't want to get specific. No such thing as good food from a food truck. Sorry, now, well, Shannon, come on, man, why are you dropping your jaw? If you lower your standards, you'll be impressed. I'm not talking about five star. I just mean good food. I like junk food.

I signed totally disagree with you is I like hot dogs, burgers. I like a lot of things, but I have never Okay, I've tried him and tried him and tried him. And I love when the neighborhoods have him. And I love Mark. When you have met your place, I love him. When Garrett over at eight eight a heat and got calm one day, had it for the holidays. He did it for his crew. I love people, I love their effort. I want him to make money. But I gotta tell you, I have never found good food in a

food truck. You have Mark numerous times you on Federal all the taco stands. Do you really find good ones? Henry? It's funny because the best ones they're not even food trucks. They almost look like homeless camps. They have like the No, but I I don't know, see Chopper agrees with me. I mean truly, come on, I mean, okay, never mind, I want to know. I mean, but I mean really good food. Come on, all right, Jane, what's going on? Jane?

Well, I'm trying to change my cell phone provider and I can't get my present one to release me. Okay, Jane? Who is the provider you have? Now? Pure Talk? Oh? Okay? And did they provide you with a phone? Yes? And are you paying on that phone? How does it work a Pure Talk? Do you pay? Is it pay as you go or how does it work? It's a monthly fee? Okay? Now why won't they release your number? Well, for one thing, I can't get a hold of them. They have to have I don't

care what she says they have to that's right. Well, all they do is put me on hold, and I've been on hold for twenty minutes and thirty minutes and it's all I get done. Now, how much a month is it? You know? I don't know offhand, I'm sorry. And how do you pay for it, Jane? Through my checking account? It's automatic withdrawal? Right, man, that's bad because us. If they don't stop withdrawing, there's no way your bank will do it on your say.

So it's a terrible thing. But yeah, but as far as her question, it has nothing to do with Pure Talk. She needs to call up whoever she's going with and give them the information, the account number for Pure Talk, the phone number, and they'll port it. Now, they'll port the number, but she's still going to be charged. Pure Talk is still going to charge her that if she owes for the phone, of course,

how much? How much? What kind of phone do you have, Jane, I have a fansung And how long ago did you get that phone? Well, it's I've been with pure Talk over a year and I got a new phone. I think of it earlier this year. Wait, okay, and how much do you pay a month? I'm sorry, I don't remember. Okay. Well, we have to know all this, Jane, because one of the reasons you can't cancel is if the phone's not paid for or you have to pay for it in full? Are you probably do that?

Okay? I can't talk to anyone to find out that number, no matter what, Tom, No, No, I get that, Mark, I get that she can port the number, but she's got to pay for the cell phone in order to get her contract ended. I think. But we can call and find out from Pure There's got to be someone from Pure Talk in a mediate department or PR department that we can ask general questions. In fact, dollar, what wonderful dollar? Why don't we ask some deputy Dollar

with us today along with Deputy Chopper? And then I have Henry Breadth from sol Rufie. Hey, deputy, why don't we ask him in general? What's the procedure if they're still paying on a phone and then they have you know, they they want to leave, but again numbers cannot be held up. But they can still charge you for the phone and for cancelation and all that. I don't know what kind of contract they have. Really, where did you go to sign up for them? Did you do it online?

Yeah, you did it online all by yourself. You went online and signed up and they sent you a phone all by yourself. No, No. What I mean is no, what I didn't mean that as an is I meant like, you went online, you did everything yourself. You didn't have to go to a store, you didn't have to do anything that's right, and then they sent you the phone. Yes, okay, I'm going to go to their website too and look at some of the UH terms and conditions

and see what they say. So hold on, We're going to have somebody call over there to find out some general information. Three oh three seven one three talk three oh three seven one three eight two five five. Angie has an issue with drainage in her home. Angie, what's going on? Hey? There, So seven years ago I purchased a home up here in South

Johnstown's historic Spanish Colony neighborhood. Okay that's seven years ago. Okay, yeah, seven years I've been in this home, and since then we've definitely faced persistent issues with city maintenance, just regarding drainage, infrastructure and the roads and sidewalks and touch basic services like snowplows. It was Oh, by the way, was this a new home. No, this was not. This home

was built back in nineteen fifties. These homes, all of these homes actually were built in the first one originating in nineteen twenty four, so it's our hundredths first day up here in this neighborhood. They were built for the workers labors for the Great Western Sugar Company, and these homes were given to them so that they would stay all year round. So most of my neighbors, their grandparents own these homes or their parents right now that are living in them

as well. Okay, so and you bought that how many years did you say? It was seven years ago? And so what's going on? So, I mean, initially the things that we were seeing that happening as a neighborhood, we've I noticed that my neighbors came together and just kind of did it themselves, purchasing clouds, leaning off the storm drain cover that was there. Okay, so you're saying that the neighborhood itself, and I have to

get a picture of this. The neighborhood itself is taking on a lot of responsibilities that should be done by a municipality correct and always really has in the seven years, and then they talk about how they've always had had to do that. I do have only like two to three residents that are monolingual English speakers, and they're the ones that have put in the most complaints. Now, now, okay, what I want to know though, this is important,

Angie. What's the municipality? Is it a county you're looking at or a city? A city? And is it actually Johnstown? It is Johnstown? Yes, and okay, So the obvious question is this, if you called Johnstown to say, hey, you know, why is our neighborhood neglected? What do they say? So I spoke a year ago, because in the last three years we've had a massive town home development actually put their and stuff against our fence and create a new, sprawling area and that's when all

the and that's when all the problems happened. Yeah, in the last year it's actually been so exatibated that we can't what we're doing is not helping. And we flood every time it rained. What our front yard? Okay, now, hold on, So they put in a new development and now you have flooding in your art. We talked about drainage yesterday and it's a little weird about drainage, but with a new subdivision, they definitely have to have

a drainage plan for the neighborhood when this was approved. Were were there public hearings and all of that this development, there were hearings. Unfortunately, my husband and I were out of town for the entire summer. We're both teachers, so we went back to the Midwest. But I do have neighbors that I've been able to pull up their public comments and their concerns from twenty twenty one when this was going on, being that the new subdivision was building up

next. Yeah, okay, so you mentioned you're mentioning a lot of things in general. You're saying city services, but you're also saying drainage. If you had to make a list of major problems, drainage would be one of them. What would what else would be on that list? Our sidewalks in our street are boeing and eroding and crafting, Like I now park on dirt in front of my house because we don't have briadways because the road has eroded

away and my sidewalk is cracked. This was a paved street that they just let go to hell. Yeah, what else? Drainage? Streets? What else streets? I think I mean, drainage in the streets and the curbs are definitely well, that's pretty major. I just wondered, I want to get a wall. While we're talking about what does the city say about it?

The city a year ago when I told them and I spoke about our drainage issues in my neighborhood across the street from town hall, because by the way, I live right across the street from meetings and I've attended every single week, right, So what do they say. They said, ten years ago they put in a storm drain and that they took care of that problem and they've never had complaints since. That's what the old mayor told me.

And then when I told them about the termite infestation, they just basically said they in my home. They basically said like, okay, well you should probably get that, you know, addressed and taken care of, and we feel sorry for you. Well, what about the streets. What do they say about the streets? The streets? They so they actually in the past, I did go on social media during a storm that was live and immediately after that next week they had a company coming to redo a massive dip in

our neighborhood. As you entered there was a huge dip that would cause us to bottom out. But the problem with that is when I talked to that crew and that project manager, I asked them if it had anything to do with the drainage infrastructure issue, and they said it was all cosmetic and that they So I want to know this is your neighborhood the only one experiencing problems? Yes, then why just hold on? That's the part I need to

know. Why just your neighborhood more coming out of show go with a sure thing Denver's Best roofer Excel Roofing dot com. So we're looking into the Johnstown thing to figure out what's going on. By the way, I want people to tell me I'm wrong when it comes to food trucks not having good food. Now you're wrong speaking of food. Yeah, but you're not giving me specifics. So okay, the California Labster Rolls absolutely

dealish. What's the name of the place the truck, California Lobster Rolls. No, there is one called California Lobster Rolls. A truck now that sounds really good. I mean, I've never had it. Is that the one from Shark Tank Mark? It could be Actually, now that you say that, it sure could be California Lobster Rolls. They are good, supposedly, there's nothing cheap about it. It's like twenty five bucks for lunch. Well it's lobster you know. Hey, here's another thing, speaking of dining.

Now, maybe you've all noticed it and you don't care, but these fees are showing up and they don't tell you. Now, some of them are flat out called gratuity, okay, and they're twenty percent no matter what, on top of your bill. You have to look. They don't tell you. And then there's still a place for your tip. Okay. But there's another one, and that is service charge. Now what is it? Now? Now this and it's new, it's new, or they say kitchen staff.

Have you seen those? Yeah? I might as well just see payroll. What's that mark? They might as well just say payroll, or why not say kids braces? I mean, if you're going to delineate your expenses, I mean, you know, college fund, I mean, what the hell I mean, just charge I don't understand that. Why not just charge more for everything? Because they want to be sneaky. Yeah, they want

you to know your food. The food's not that expensive, the damn people serving it is are I mean they're they're really expensive or they're pain in the ass. No, really, I don't know how you feel about these. I don't mind paying, you know, just pay a fair price and not have tips, or pay a price and have a tip, but the sneaking in a fee plus a tip that this is where and then if you don't give a tip on top of a tip, like I went to a resort one time. When where is it? What's the one I'm thinking of?

Now? It could be the broad More anyway where it's all built in now twenty percent on everything you do there, everything everything's built it's twenty percent and they call it a You know a built in gratuity, but if you don't give an additional gratuity, they kind of look at you with I'm not talking about the broad more specific, I'm talking about the trend. If you don't tip on top of it, they give you the side eye. I came up with a new one. You're ready for this? What is if I

ain't sitting, I ain't tipping. I am no longer tipping. If I walk up and pick something up at a counter that includes Starbucks, now I'm not sitting. I'm not Those two go people work hard to get you ready and all that. No, come on, they don't serve you, but they work hard. Hey, hey, Cynthia, Angie, hang on, we're we're working on Angie, we're working on that one with Yeah. Are you saying the kitchen staff doesn't work hard? Then by saying that, no,

prepare work, Cynthia, what's going on with you? There is a law or an ordinance that requires HOA inspector violation inspectors that drive around for violations? Do they have to be in an identifiable vehicle? No? Wait a minute, Wait a minute, Cynthia, I don't know of any regulations covering HOA enforcement officers or inspectors or homeowners who are pains in the ass, they can just well. I mean I knew a guy once that just walked around

with a clipboard and then he would call up his HOA. He wasn't even hired by the HOA. I don't think there's any I don't know of any laws that say that an HOA vehicle has to be marked. I think it should be. Well, why is that what happened with you? We're getting we're getting we're getting violations, and we've also had a lot of robberies in the area. Yeah, we don't know. Well, they don't care about that. They just care about if you're trash can showing from the street,

or if you're or if your curtains aren't the right color. Yeah, so anyway, but it's okay to steal cars and do all that other stuff. But let me ask you some of the seriousness, Cynthia, specifically, what are you talking about that's you're upset? You're gonna love this. I got a violation for having artificial flowers in my yarn. You know what. I got one of those. My wife put some in for because she didn't like that it wasn't landscape properly, and it's supposed to be done by the Hua

in those areas. And they said, you're not supposed to do that. Then she put a wreath on our door. You know, there's different seasonal wreaths, not just of course the holidays. And they said you can't have the wreath. And then they then they said when I said you could see trash from I swear to God, if you are walking past my house and you paused, took binoculars out and got on a ladder, you could see my trash can on the side of the house behind the gate. And they

sent me a letter. You know, So I guess what I have to do is camouflage it and bury it six feet under. But in any case, the point I'm making is this, there are people that just walk around and do that kind of stuff. They don't have a life. Well, I guess I want to know, you know, is that that's it's legal. Then they can drive any kind of car. Yeah, well, what would be illegal about it? I don't think they can drive a war tank, but I think that, I mean, they used to have a management

company vehicle that much. I know what you mean, But tell me what difference that would make. I mean seriously, and I'm not kidding with you, I mean what difference would it make what vehicle they're in. I wouldn't feel paranoid, I would I would feel okay. But there are a lot of ho a Nazis, there really are. There are a lot, and there are threats to democracy. I'm just kidding, by the way, I'm just kidding. No, No, I think so. I think so Tom

may have just and their vindictive. Well, you know what, You're right, You're right. There are the little clipboard people. I call them the clipboard people. And usually the guys have Bermuda shorts with knee high socks. They're usually black socks with sandals. But I don't think that's an official uniform. But listen, I love the food truck thing, and I think you're wrong in that regard. Where can I find that lobster ole? I don't know, Mark, where's the lobster roll? Where do they show up?

Lobster one? I saw it? Is it? The one? I? The one I'm talking about is usually or at least once a week at the one oh five Brewery in Castle Rock. Oh okay, Well, I can't try it there. I don't know where they are either. But have you ever have you ever had a food truck you liked? I do. And they had a series of food trucks down by the Capitol in Denver, and they had like a whole bunch of different food trucks. Yeah, and it was wonderful. You know. It was like some kind of a food truck

day or something, and various different food vendors were there. You know. I've been to those things. I mean, I really liked it, community of it all, and I want these people to do well. I just never I I'm just being straight here. The other day I had some more and I thought, you know what, they just don't come through. I mean, but maybe I don't know, it might be me me. Hey, Cynthia, you didn't mention what were the violations you got? I mean

artificial flowers? I have to but in addition to that, you said you've had violations in addition to your flowers, what else? Well? I did have a security camera issue one time. You know, they want to know. They also want to know when you just repaint your property, you know, the same color, even wait, even if you go even if you go with the same color. Yeah, why because they're stupid. Wow,

you know, what do you mind mentioning the neighborhood? Yeah, it's a Green Valley ranch Master Homeowner Association. Okay, well you know that's that's what you get. That's what you get when when when you got Ah. Now, by the way, I just want to say that, I didn't mean to cut you off there. What did you want to say, Cynthy. What I wanted to say is I like, as they have a purpose.

I just don't like when they're overreaching. Well and there's trash everywhere. You complain about trash and they send you to somebody else, so they're not focusing on the pertinent issues that really affect the common areas. Yes, you know, well, thank you for calling. I wish there was something we could do about at three oh three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five five. Really we could have an entire show, an absolutely entire show

Hi Tom Martino, your troubleshooter three all three seven one three talk three oh three seven one three eight two five five. Part of my theme today is going to be keeping your house cool, because there are many strategies that we can use and I

want to go over a guy. You hear me talk about Coole House fans. You hear me talk about ac You hear me talk about Solary. You hear me talk about addicts and all of that. And I really want to put it together in a really easy, understandable way so we can all figure out how to do it and do it efficiently and UH and really what is the best thing to do? Angie on your uh on your drainage. I'm

going to have a deputy chopper over here. I'm going to have them called the city and see if they have a plan in place for some of these issues. You know, I have a feeling this would be the worst case scenario, and that is I have a feeling that your city's probably broke. Have they ever cried the blues on that one? That's my knowledge. But I do know that since I've gone on social media, they have finally decided to come out here and take a look at us. That's amazing that,

that's amazing. Have you gathered that much? Have you gathered that much attention? You think I have? However, they came out and they left a voicemail apologizing because they didn't realize there was never a storm drain put in. It's just a six inch pipe that was still used for when the land was

agricultural and the strain wasn't put on the area around us. And so they have a plan in place in the next two years to put in a storm drain, an actual storm drain and not just a graded cover that was put in ten years ago. However, my term, at this point, we've

treated for a full year. And the larger companies, Orcin and Terminix, they are GSA certified, so they have now put in writing that a year later, even though a year ago they said they will not treat us because they cannot guarantee they can get rid of them with the amount of water that flowed our property and how often. But they responsibility, or at least the subdivision does. Did they file a drainage plan when they built a damn thing?

You know what? That's what we might want to ask that found that chopper. We may want to ask about the the drainage plan that subdivision, that new subdivision filed. I mean they have to approve a drainage. I've acquired all of them. I acquired what the subdivision filed, which is called a preliminary utility utility plan that'supposed to outline how they tie into existing infrastructure. And then the city turned over the one in their folder that has their engineering

company. So I called Olson Engine. Well hold on, hold on, angie, angie, angie, just wait, you said you looked into it. What did you find? Not? Who did you call? What did you find? I found out that they only surveyed the south end of my block because per code, they only put a new road at the south end, and the city would have had to indicate there was a problem on the north end and the water flows two separate directions from the middle of my street.

So you're saying they did it basically, they did it half assed plan. Yes, they did the minimum amountain all right, hold on, I'm gonna have Chopper look into it with johns with Yees Johnstown. I didn't realize john Sound was an actual city himself. I mean, I really didn't realize that. But we'll we'll look into that for sure. Three oh three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five five Henry Brett's uh with Excel roofing one of the only sponsors I can say I knew when he was in

the crib quite literally anyway. So uh, that's Jay Brett's son and Excel roofing. Let's talk about cooling a house now, we talk about a whole house fan, but off the air. Deputy Dollar said, uh, something about it, and then and then Henry said, well, an attic fan is important, and then, uh, I know a lot of people confuse attic fan and whole house fan, and I just want to say something. Attic fans are not absolutely necessary at all. They help ventilate the addict,

but it is not a whole house fan. They're two separate things. However, attic ventilation with or without a fan is mandatory without it. If you don't have good attic ventilation, nothing's gonna work right. You're gonna be hot like crazy in the summer. Your air conditioner will never overcome that heat. And I think something else can be said about that. Your whole house fan

won't work if you don't have attic insulation. If you go and buy a whole house fan and it's going into the attic but there's no way to get out, you're not really doing much. You're you're forcing it through cracks and crevices. Henry, what do you guys do when you put on a roof. Your dad's a real bugaboo about attic insulation, and you say, most houses you go to don't have enough. So proper attic ventilation is super important.

You need fifty percent intake in fifty percent exhaust. And if you don't have that, you mean of the volume in your attic needs to be taken in with fresh air. Not necessarily, but you need to have that proper ratio for incoming air versus exiting air. I see what you're saying. Okay, you need to have that. There's two types of events. So there's intake and exhaust exhaust exactly. And so so the intakes are low, right sure, and that's gonna be like the sofet what goes right along the bottom

of the roofline. And then the exhaust is going to be on the top. So that could be something like a ridge vent or just or just placed pipes around right, Yeah, exactly. And so if that is installed correctly, you'll avoid issues like heat blisters, and heat blisters can offer So now we're not we're talking about more than air conditioning. Now, now we're talking about the roof lasting. Yeah, and you know, what that will avoid a manufacturer's warranty if you have heat blisters. Wow. Yeah, okay.

So by the way, guys, in addition to cooling your house, you also will will lengthen the lifespan of your roof and warping. And also if moisture ever got in there, we're talking about mold, we're talking about rotting the decking. So attic ventilation is the most overlooked system. I believe in the entire house. Attic ventilation. It's so important. So there are a lot of people that don't have enough ridge vents, excuse me, enough vents

in the soft's low vents. Many of them are insulated over right, That's absolutely correct. And there's there's different solutions to stuff like that, part of which would be like including more you know, soft events, or you could do something like an attic fan, but you'd still make sure that that intake versus X takee. Right. Yeah, even with the fan, you have to have it drawing air from somewhere. Absolutely. Now, the attic fans,

that's another story and they're really good. Hold on and we'll get to those. And also Scott, his mother passed away. He has questions about a a state, Scott, I'll tell you we have experts that can help you that there and then Paul wants to talk about medical billing. Hi Tom Martino, you're troubleshooter three oh three seven one three talk three

three seven one three A two five five. Okay, Scott, you need some estate, some estate help. If you get us started, we'll get an expert on the phone for you. What's the issue? Okay, So my mom passed away suddenly last Monday. Everything said and done, We got the corner signed the death certificate, I believe yesterday, So we're waiting on the copies of that to get to the mortuary. But my dad has already. My dad passed away back in twenty eleven, and so we didn't really

know anything because this was so unexpected on my mom's side. Yes, so tell me what do you know? What? What do you need help with? And by the way, I'm sorry, no matter how old our parents are, it's still a shock when they die. So, so what what do you need help with? So? First, I guess do I need because I've seen stuff that you look that says I need. We need to open probate, we need to get the I mean, it's just me and my brother. I got it, bro, I got it. I got

it. I'll ask you the right questions and we'll give you exact information we've we've been through this before. And I'm glad you called and and we can get our expert on just if you can just hold on for a few minutes, that would really help. Thank you. And yeah, there's some series of questions. I don't want to rush you right now. I'm going to ask and then we can determine what you need to do and how you need to do it through our experts. Uh, Paul, what is your issue

with medical billing? I know a question I still found out today that the hospital is separating the charges. They're going to have the charges for the service of the doctor, right, you know material, but they are also going to charge a facility fee. Yeah. Yeah, that's not uncommon. Paul. Did you know that? No, I die that. Yeah, here's

what they do, Paul. Let me let me explain something. Let's say, even like you went to an emergency room, they have a practice literally sometimes that contracts to the er to provide docs, and that that practice will charge you for the doctors. Then you have a facilities fee, and that facilities fee will be for the emergency room itself, and then on top of that you could also be charged separately for other things. And that is that's been going on an MRI, like an MRI or a cat scan or anything,

right, and that has been going on for years and years. Scott, what is your excuse me? I mean, Paul, what is your question about it? Paul? Well, is Medicare going to cover eighty percent of that oral? Well, Medicare will cover will cover what whatever coverage you have. And I'm hoping is there is there a there's Medicare. Do you have a supplement as well? No? No, okay, Well, then

here's what will happen. Medicare has what's called an approved amount, and they will pay a percentage of the approved amount, and then you'll be responsible for the balance up to a deductive Well wait, there's a somewhat of a deductible first, and then you'll be responsible for twenty percent of the balance. Well, but that's on the medical side of the Oh no, it's on everything.

No. Yeah, even though they're separated. But each one has its own approved amount, okay, so it's not like they add it all up and then you pay twenty percent of that your twenty percent or what appears to be twenty percent will be different for each one, depending on what the approved amount is. But usually I want to tell you something. If it's a Medicare provider, the approved amount is usually what they bill you, and they're

not going to come after you for the balance anyway. That's not allowed. So you pay your twenty percent, and if there's more, because it's not approved, they can't come after you for the unapproved amount, So you should be pretty good. I'm Tom Martino. Hey, I'm Tom Martino, your troubleshooter, your consumer. I get forty years, forty five years in denavor fighting for you. Hey, eight eight eight Heating dot Com. Keep that in mind for your air conditioner problems or or things you need even free second opinions. That's eight eight eight Heating dot Com three oh three seven seven zero two seven seven six. Okay, we got Excel roofing in the house. We've been talking about attic ventilation. We're

also going to talk about this with Scott his dad passed away. He needs some information and or his mom passed away. I'm sorry, and Scott, I have an expert on for you. This is good news. Dan McKenzie, McKenzie law. Now listen, here's the deal. He does a state, a state planning and a state law and all of that. Now here's the thing, Scott, your mom, I want to ask a question. When your dad died back in one I think you said whenever. When your

dad died, did he was everything? In eleven? Twenty eleven? Was everything transfer over to your mom properly? Yes? Okay? So now your mom dies, and what does she die with? We have two houses and all the accounts everything that she had, okay, two homes and bank accounts, and if you added up all of the positives and subtracted the mortgages if there are any, what do you come up with as an rest just on a value maybe a little under two million? Okay? Now, how many

siblings or errors will there be? Do you think? Right now? Me and my brother and then we'll probably do my daughter, her only granddaughter. Do you have a will? Does she have a will? No? Okay? Okay, Now what I want to talk to Dan McKenzie now, Dan, you heard all the circumstances. My first question is this, when does probate have to be opened and you can't do it with just a small estate

affidavit? When is probate mandatory when the seams had either eighty two thousand dollars worth of stuff in their name by themselves or if state owned real estate? Okay? And what about vehicles? Does that play into it ever? I mean it's part of the eighty two thousand dollars calculations, okay, okay, But as far as transferring ownership of a vehicle, the only thing that gets sticky is transferring the real estate that has to have a probate. Well,

once you do need to probate, the probate kind of covers everything. Okay, I can't do like you know, a car or using a small estate affidavit and a probate to the real estate. It's once it's probate, it's the probates the whole thing. And if there was no will or nothing like that, who opens the probate? Any interested party can do it. The heirs have six weeks to head start if they haven't done it by then, and there are creditors that want to do it. Creditors could do it.

That's not very common, but it could happen. That does not mean you have to open within six weeks. The statute says you have three years to open a probate, but obviously you don't wait that one. No, no, because someone can. Someone can circumvent you and do it if they're a creditor. Now, as far as the probate and no will, tell me what will happen with no will and she has an estate, let's call it

two million? And he said, well, me and my brother, and then we want to throw in my daughter who has her only grandchild, or excuse me, my daughter who is the only grandchild. Let's talk about that. Do they get to decide that? And how does that work? They could decide it? I mean, I guess I'd be surprised if your brother

is willing to accept only a third instead of half. If you want to give a portion of your share to your daughter, there's ways to do there you can do, but there's no there's no law that says without a will, this happens. The default is that it's the two that the two surviving

kids. So the default is the default is those two brothers get half in half, right, Okay, So Scott, without a will, you, you and your brother are the only ones left and you would be and and you guys would get her estate now if she was married still depending on how long there might be the spouse first and then the kids. But it's the kids now. The other part is this, And I'm not trying to raise problems for you, but you mentioned your daughter. Is your brother perfectly willing

to make it a third, a third and a third? Yes, it sounds like it. Yeah, because he's getting he's getting the house, so yeah, it sounds like it. Well, it doesn't matter what he's getting. You're taught talking about the amount of what he's getting. He would only

be getting a third as opposed to a half. Yeah, and and you've guys discussed that, right, Yeah, so we the plan was he took one house, I took the other house, and then the money and the stuff that was setting in the accounts would get divided up three ways that way, So they okay, I get it, and you guys can do that. You guys can decide any way you want, right right, Dan? Am I am I wrong? Here? Can they do that? So? I mean the court's going to point a personal representative and it's going to be

up to that person to decide. And you and your brother have equal uh favor to do that. So if the two of you have to decide, you want to do that, Yes, make every decision or not or anny one of you. Yeah, who's going to be the personal representative? Scott more than likely probably me, I would say in this instance, I think he would be okay with that. But again, okay, well, you got to make that decision and then open probate. And of course I would

get an attorney to do it, like a Dan McKenzie. And and you know, I mean, you can get anyone you want. But I'm saying that I know Dan and uh and but but the thing is this, Okay, trying to do it alone is not so cool, I really, because you have to dot the i's and cross the t's and make sure you're not leaving any bills outstanding because they can come after you, okay, And there are certain ways to make sure you're giving the proper notice to creditors and all

of that. All of that takes place with an estate and with probate. Okay, Okay, So I hope we have. Do you have any other questions, Scott, No, I think you kind of put him in the right direction for probate, Like if I called Dan, he could either kind of help me to get that all set up and kind of get that moving forward. That's what they do. That's what they do. Yes, And of course you can look and look online for probate. But as I said,

we know him very well. He's a good guy. COO Plans dot C and his phone number is eight three three COO Plans eight three to three Studio Plans. So kit CHENA, you might want to make sure he gets the number if he needs it, and then hold on. We have another question real quick here. I just came in here probate question with no will another one, Pete, So hang on there. Thank you very much, Thank you big Dan. We have another question that just came in, Pete.

What is your question? Party? Tom, Hey, I think I've probably just got the answer to it listening to your last caller there. I have a very good friend that has lived with his grandma for the last twenty years her life. Helped her actually buy the house she owned. You know, he wasn't on the loan or anything, but you know, you have to pick it out and everything bought all the furniture. Long story short, she started getting ill and everything over the years, and she passed away recently

and had all got holes, armers and stuff. Hele and in her head didn't recover from it, and she had no will. She has three daughters, mom and her two sisters. And wait, wait wait wait, okay, so so this woman, how do you know this woman, she's a good friend of mine's grandmother. Okay, so this grandma, this grandma had a friend living with her. That man was living with her, her son, her son, her grandson, her grandson, and her grandson's the one

that bought the house with her. I mean or or was there? Yes? Yes, and and okay, so there's there's no spousal Okay, there's no spousal arrangement. Are you asking if this grandson has any special rights without a will, has any rights whatsoever? His mother and her two sisters, you know, his two aunts are trying to say, hey, you need starling for a place because we're going to sell the house and you're not getting a time of anything. She didn't really have any money, okay, just

the house. This grandma, this grandma. Does she have she doesn't have a husband, right, No, No, does this grandma have any direct kids and kid? Just she has three daughters? Okay, now, Dan, from what you said before, would those three daughters audit without a will automatically step in there for the grandma? They are the heirs. Again, let me as the appointed, as the personal rep. You got the person running the estatement, people benefiting from the estate. That three are definitely gonna

benefit from the estate. Whoever's going to run it and figure out the situation with this person in his house is kind of up to the court, but the default would be a third, a third and a third with three girls and no will. Now he next question is the grandson expecting anything special? Nothing special. He just thinks that he should be able to maybe, you know, he wants to finish paying off the house and he can't even go

to the bank and pay on the mortgage. He's tried and they're like, you're not even on the morrigin and so well are the sisters inclined to let him have that house? No, absolutely not. They want to sell it. They want to sell it and pay off the loan. Is that correct? Yes? Now, Dan, and this grandson, even though he's been living there taking care of her and and you know he's been there. He's not legally on anything. He doesn't have any rights there. Does he did?

Probably not? I mean, is there any argument that he's you know, I mean, you know, providing some service they maintain the value of the house or the like. You know, there could be like a contract or an unjustined Richmond claim. I mean, if he contributed to the purchase of the house, maybe he could do something I wouldn't. I would never

think, never without a little bit more announce right. So, yeah, he's not making any claims that he bought stuff, that he bought this house with her, is he No, But he did fill it with furniture. He paid for it all. And they're saying that, yeah, you're not getting the furniture either. Were Well, he should get well, he should get what he paid for unless it was a gift to grandma. We don't know that. That's the part that might be a fight. But why would

they be so greedy if he bought the furniture and can prove it. Well, they don't get along. They have got along for ten years, you know, they live and really he lived in Arvada with his grandmas. I never never would even call her until the day before she died. Well, I know the law doesn't say they have to be good daughters, right right, Yeah, that's the whole situation there. They're strange too. And you know, he's like, hey, you know, I'm gonna take my furniture.

And he's like, no, Now is this grandson? Does this grandson belong to one of the three girls? Yes? Yes, and his own mom screwing him? Right? Yes? Absolutely? All right, Well, so he wants now do I start looking for a place, you know, or do I have a leg stander? He doesn't have tons of money for a lawyer, you know, but I said, you know what, let me call it. I'm not even sure. I'm not even sure. He

doesn't seem to have a claim. He doesn't mean owns the house. Now when the personal rep get the point said, the personal rep job is to protect the estate. I'm sorry, to save me and getting people who don't own the house out right, right, person is going to be probably legally obligated to get him, right, Yeah, I don't have real high hopes for it. Yeah, unless and then if he can show what if he can show receipts for the furniture, would that change things for the furniture part

of it? Dan, for sure, in the house it's his. But yeah, you know, I think, yeah, yeah, so anything that's his inside that house, Pete, I mean, that doesn't take that away from him if he can prove it's his. And I'm surprised his own mom wouldn't say take your furniture, you know. I mean, it's amazing what happens. I'm sure Dan McKenzie sees a lot of garbage when it comes to estates and how people get greedy. All right, thank you very much,

Hi Tom Martinez here at three oh three seven one three talks seven one three eight two five five. Welcome to the show. And uh you know, uh really uh solar right now. You can't help but think about it when you look up at the

sun and all of the electricity that's being generated for people. Probid Energy dot Com one of our solar contractors that does installation and they do U. They do of course all the service and sales. Probid Energy dot Com. Now Stella's got a issue on solar, come to think of it. Go ahead, what's going on with you? Stella? Hi Tom, thank you so much for taking my call. We purchased solar in September twenty seventeen from Alpasso

Green Energies dressed Peace View Solar by l Pasco Green Energies. It's called El Paso Green Energy. Yes okay. And this is a company, is that right? Yes? Okay? And what about all that? We were told that if we moved we could take solar panels with us, they would take them down for us. And how long ago? How long ago did you buy it? It's twenty seventeen September. Okay, now, did you buy it or did you lease it? Bought it? Okay, and tell me

what's happening. You want to leave and they say you can't take it? What's the situation? No, In January through April of twenty three, our electric bill sort between two hundred and eight dollars and three hundred eventy five dollars. So we tried calling. How did it do before that, stella? When you well, we were we were in the single digits, we were like maybe the double digits that we were paying. So it was really helping you. It was really really helping you when you first did it. Mm

hmm, okay, go ahead, Okay. We tried calling them and found out they must have went out of business because all phone numbers were just connected. Yeah. Most most solar companies go out of business after they do their at the end, most of them aren't real companies. They're just sales arms. Do you know who actually installed your system? Uh? It just says L Pasco Green Energies Energy Slash Peak View Solar by L Pasco Green Energies Energy. Okay, Slash. What was that second name of the company. It

was L Paso and then slash what Peak View Solar. Yeah, Peak VI Solar might be the one that did it, It doesn't matter. Right now you have uh purchase documents where you actually bought the system and you got the tax credits right, Okay, so what is your question? My question is now if we get hail them is this summer? What do I call to take those panels down and put them back up? Okay, happen to break a panel? I'm going to tell you now the actual solar system itself for

service, you can call a good solar company. We have two of them. One I told you was that probid Energy dot com and we have Red Rocks rs dot Com. Red Rocks roof and solar. And again they do they do solar, They do roof in conjunction or removing and putting stuff up for your roof when you have a solar system. But the Red Rocks is a good company too, So you could call any one of of those companies on our referral list and they would take care of anything that happens to your

system. Now, if you call a regular roofer guys, what do you guys do? And Excel Roofing Henry, what do you do when you come and there is a solar system, let's say, and you have to remove and you have to do it. Do you guys have a crew that do it? Or do you subcontract? What do you do? So the first thing that we're going to do is look for who installed the system? Yeah, if you can, right for sure? We don't want to avoid anybody's warranty. Yeah. And if they've gone out of business, then we would

defer to one of our trusted partners. Okay, So they would do the same thing. They would try to go to the original company. But if the original company is no longer there, Stella, you still have a system that needs to be serviced and worked one. Yes, I live by the way. Where is this red wrong? They would go out to Pablo SODA's pro bid. They're in the Denver metro area, but they go all over. Okay, now, Stella, I want to ask a few questions.

I want to ask a few questions. You said it was generating a lot, and it was doing well until when till January of twenty three. What happened in January of twenty three? I have no clue, but it went on all the way till April, and then you might want to have your system looked at. Yeah, I know, we didn't know what we call them or no? No, not that I mean a good so hold on, so is your electric bill still higher now? No, it's all the way down again, I get corrected. It just peaked for a short time.

Yes, oh no telling what could have done that? As long as it's working, Stella, you're fine. I don't even know. I really don't even know. And I should ask our solar people. I don't even know if they have to be checked down. Then I have no idea. Mark, do you have any idea if solar systems need to be periodically checked? I have no idea. Maybe don't know. Maybe we should ask, you know, we should, you know. That's a good question anyway, So Kachina, when you get a chance, either pro bid Mark or all

over Brook and just ask a general question. If someone has a solar system, it ain't broke, don't fix it, but do you ever get it checked? Yes? What we're gonna say, Henry, So, typically a solar panel will lose about point five percent two point eight percent? What per year? Per what per year? What of efficiency? For what reason? It's just it deteriorates slowly. I did, but that's not a lot, but point five let's say half a percent a year, right, Okay,

so in ten years. Yeah, I guess I just never knew that at all. We can ask about that too. Three oho three seven one three eight two five five. So cooling your home, we're going to continue that discussion as well on how to do it properly. We talked about attic ventilation with or without a fan. Attic ventilation is the number one, even before a whole house fan. Now no, I love whole house fans, trust me, but if your attic is not properly ventilated, it's going to stifle

the whole house fan. And plus you're gonna have too much heat in that attic. So attic ventilation I've said it before, the number one overlook system in your home. Hi Tom Martinez here three oh three seven one three talks seven one three eight two five five Bennett? What's going on? Bennett? Yes, sir? What is happening with you? You know Tom, I've called you before on this and if I'm out of line, I want you to tell me.

But I am so damn frustrated. What is it? What is it? It's vehicle admissions? Tell me about it. What do you mean the testing procedure or what the testing? Uh? We've got two vehicles that are just five years old. Yes, my wife went this morning at a a M to get a test. There was ninety cars in front of her. Oh, I've heard other people talked about this, Henry, What were you going to say about it? Do you just find a drive by? All you have to do is find a location and drive by. Okay, you can't

do that on Altra kid twice you got to do? You can look them up, can you really? But okay, you can look them up and all you have to you have to do two and six months and then you're sent the thing. It'll say that you don't have to have any missions on your card. So I mean it'll say where will it say that? It's printed on the car, just tells you that and you carry it with you.

No. No, the card that they send you to get your license plates renewed will have on the bottom no missions, and it's called rapid right. I did one of these this morning and it was yeah, it was great. You went this morning and it was great, but defined great, I mean, no way, just straight through. It took me five minutes. Where'd you go? So it's Ericare, Colorado specifically the one in Sheridan. I've had great luck there. The one in Parker they had a problem

yesterday. Their sister went down, and that may be why where did you go? Which one? My wife went to the one in southeast Aurora and there were ninety cars there was. She went there at nine o'clock this morning and she came home by ten. She was so, well, that's not bad. And they went through ninety cars they were she was number ninety in line to be tested. You know, I treat these things just kind of like I treat the DMV. You get there right when they open and then

you're in and out. And I mean sometimes that happens to the DMV, sometimes it doesn't. But that's that's how I've handled these ones. And I've had to do this on a lot of vehicles. Are you talking about the one on ilift for the one in Parker, the town of Parker? I mean specifically AirCare Colorado is who I use, and I like the one I share. All air Care I thought there are. Yeah, they're all air Care. It's just different locations, but they're all run by the state.

Yeah. Well, you know, Tom, My opinion is, and I could be totally wrong. I think this is how do I put it. I think it's highway robbery because there's all the cars today should pass the missions. That's the way, Bennett. Bennett, you said something that just hit me. Did you say your vehicles are only five years old? Yes, they they're exempt. Pardon they're exempt. All vehicles are for the first seven years are exempt. Then why are you getting an emissions check? Bennett?

Well, I don't know, Tom. We just opened up the mail yesterday. The plates are due and it says a mission test required. It did? Yes, I wonder why what years that vehicle? The one that I have is in nineteen and the other one is a twenty. They're exempt. I don't know what else to say. So, how do you know what? We got a call? We got to call one of our people, Mark. Don't we have an expert somebody? Thats sus used to have somebody that knew about the air program. I don't know why you would. Why

would your notice say admissions test required? Does it say admission test required if blah blah blah? Or did it say on this car? Or I mean send us a picture of that? Yeh? Send us the notice you got, Bennett Kitschena tell help them get us a picture of that. I find that hard to believe, because I did think that it was supposed to be exempt. Did you bring those cars in from out of state? Did what difference when you bought them? Where'd you buy the Bennett, let's see the

last one, I bought town High Nations. Yeah, but you bought them in Colorado? Right? What difference would that have makee? Chopper? If he bought them out of town, they would be required to have auto emissions and I don't think they're exempt to seven years. It's seven years. I think it is because I the one I registered this morning. I needed a VN verification for it because I got it in Arizona. But it didn't require

emissions. And why'd you go to get the vin verification? But in addition to that, my goodness, people, listen, seven years, no emissions needed. That's just how the state law is. Okay, Now where's our solar guy that had questions? Oh? No, we were going to ask another question. What was it that we had for our solar guy? Oh? Yeah, yeah, on service and efficiency and all of that. Right, what else? We had another question? Anybody want to help me here? Go on, Mark, make fun of me? Tell me Mark?

Are you there? You bet hey man? Probid energy dot com? Okay, we have a quick question. Is it true? Oh? I know what I was going to ask about regular service? But first let me ask you this just a solar panel, just that sits there on the roof. I guess Henry over here was looking it up and said that they can lose

efficiency a little efficiency each year they deteriorate. Yep, yep, so just phenominally though, yeah, I mean there's people that have systems for thirty years that are still okay, okay, now as far I know what the question we had this woman said, the company that did our system went out of business. Of course we hear that all the time. So she says, who do I call them? You have a problem? And I told her

about you guys. Another question I have what if you don't have problems and if it ain't broke, we always hear you don't fix it, But do solar systems every now and then? Should you have them checked? I mean, I don't know the answer to that. You know, I don't think it's a bad idea. You know, a lot of people get so accustomed to not you know, out of sight, out of mind, just like anything in a house. But yeah, it doesn't hurt to have them just

check. But I would say probably not unless you're having a problem. Maybe you go five years. I don't think. Yeah, yeah, I agree with you, just just to know it's operating properly, you know, And a lot of a lot of these folks have apps they can see how their systems operating. Oh good, Or you're getting an electric bill when you didn't used to get one at that same time, you're like, huh, something's

going wrong. Hey, Mark, I got a question now that you've talked about an app, do you guys or do any solo companies ever have a way to remote into their customer system so they can diagnose things without going there. Yeah, a lot of the systems have that. Some of the older systems do not. So older systems you'd have to make a service call. But some of the newer systems that we install, we can tap into their system to let them know. I have a perfect example. A guy had

a lightning strike. He's got a problem with the system, so we tapped into it. It looks like it might be a branker, so we have to go out there and make a service Okay, So but you literally can then network into it. Yes, And some that we did not install, we have to get permissions from the homeowner and they may have to pay a fee to give us that permission to go in and then we take over their service essentially. Okay, but that's really good to know that you can have

you can look into their system and figure out what's going on. Just like, yeah, I mean that's really yeah, And I think that's where society's going in general, I mean as probid Energy dot com three oh three six two three fifteen thirty one. Mark, can Tesla tap into your car and diagnose anything from your out and your driveway or what? Yeah, I don't know, like anything, but they can do quite a bit. They can

see if everything's working. I'm not sure about to repair, right, okay, yeah, well if it's hardware obviously, stuff like that now, okay, all right? Hi Tom Martinez here three all three seven one three talks seven one three eight two five five here to help you solve problems,

answer questions, take complaints so cooling your house. When we talked about the whole house fan, Uh, it won't work if you don't have good attic ventilations. So you got to have the attic ventilation that we talked about. Now, Henry with excel roofing, What if tell us about that fan that you guys have. I love that fan that you guys have. You can drop it in and that's it, right, I mean you don't have to wire it to the house, do you. Yeah. So you're referring to

the solar powered attic fan, right, how does it work? It's great. You don't have to get an electrician up there. Nothing. You just take this fan. It's got a solar power on our solar power. Yeah, we'll take a system on it. You place it on the roof and as soon as the sun comes out, starts working, draws all that hot air out of your attic. It acts as an exhaust vent, pulling up

the air through the intake events. Very efficient and it runs whenever it wants and you never have to touch it, yeah, unless it breaks on you. But like a regular attic fan, you have to wire that into your house. For this one, you don't. You just put it up there. Yeah, and you and it drops in right literally into a hole, and then you you obviously have to install it properly so it doesn't leak. And then that's what a roofer does. And then it just as Ron P.

Peel once said, you set it and forget it absolutely. And this thing's super efficient. It moves about fifteen hundred cubic feet of air per minute, so most homes just need one, right, Yeah, it depends how bad your attic is if it has proper ventilation. Now I know Excel roofing is pretty what's that you got to use the mic chopper? You're reminding me of Deputy Dock. Now I'm sorry, I go ahead. I had a

doc moment. What's the cost on that? You know? It depends if it's going in with a new roof or a Yeah, if it's going in on its own. What's the range shooting? You know, I can't remember off the top of my head. I think it's about one thousand dollars one of these. I will quote me on that. I think it was one thousand and fifteen hundred as I remember. But I'm telling you it's well worth

it because it will your air condition will work better. Now, remember you still have to have the proper venting the lower events to pull it out. Yeah, and then along that extend life of your roof, right if you get heat blisters. So on that note, it does give you the IRS tax credit through IRS Forum fifty six ninety freely. Yeah. Oh, I didn't know that. You will you get a thirty percent credit on that. You know, you'd have to refer to that government page. But there is

a tax credit available. Okay, So that's cool. Now we talked about that. The next step, Now that's before you do anything else, right that, even before you do solar and before you do a whole house fan, make sure your addict is ventilated. As I said, you don't always need a fan to do that, but make sure the attic's ventilated. After the addicts ventilated, I personally would the next do a whole house fan. That's when I do a whole house fan. And those are quiet cools.

You know, you've heard me talk about Qccolorado dot com and there are other dealers that have quiet cool in other parts of the country. Now, what you do is that is a remote mounted fan in the attic and it vents into the attic. But then remember the attic then is vented, so it goes out of the attic and it pulls air from the lower parts of your

house through your house and destratifies the air. So with good attic ventilation and then a whole house fan, those two things alone will be an incredible savings on energy, keeping your house more level. There will be many times you never even need to use air conditioning in a There's probably only one season and the height of that season where your air conditioner will work hard, But it'll work less hard with this than without it, especially with the ventilated addict and

the whole house fan. Absolutely, I mean it's incredible. I mean it, It makes the entire difference. And the best time, of course to have your ventilation your attic check is when you're having a roof done. So but let me ask you this though, if you notice, we don't we don't have a lot of time, but maybe we'll talk about that. If you notice some of the ventilation problems during an install for insurance, will insurance pay any extra at all to do it right? Or you know, it

really depends, but we'd always push for that. Yeah, Or it's the cheapest time to have it done because they're already mobilized in there. Exactly. Yeah, I'm Tom Martinez. What's going on in your life? Happy afternoon? You know what we are here for you. Anything we can do for you. You call us if you've got a problem, question and complaint. There's some stuff we've been talking about that I want to

bring up. Let's see, I have it right here, all right, I know, I I uh, this is not going to be I'm not going to descend to the level of Michael Brown Show today, but I will talk about some stuff. And when I say descend to the level, that was all because of but you're dragon Is Talk Dragon They did Penis Talk. They talked about that thirteen what to do and what not to do with your penis thirteen things. So anyway, I'm going to talk about what we do

in bed. And I talked about this a little one day, but I have actual stats here. So what percentage what do you think people do the most in bed when it comes to technology? If you had to pick, When I say technology, that's everything that's iPads, computers, smartphones, not your TV. We're talking about devices, so not your TV, yourvice, your smart devices. What do most people do with their smart devices in bed? What's the highest percentage and what do they do? I'll give you a

hint, sixty five percent? What is it? They read the news? No emails. They just like just normal stuff. They check emails and messages sixty five percent. Now the next largest percentage of people scroll through social media. That's almost kind of the same thing. Sixty five percent look for their messages and emails, and then fifty nine percent look for or look through their social media. And then what we think is next, you know, porn, no regular YouTube videos. You know, porn, believe it or not,

is not as much as you think it's not. That's not me doing those sound effects. By the way, in case you wondered, so regular videos fifty we were we were pretty sure that I wasn't. And I watch I watch videos in bed. I watch a lot of them, not videos, movies. I fall asleep, Like once in a while, I'll play Seinfeld episodes. Oh god, there's I've started watching that again. Mark from the beginning, there's a lot I watch it. It drives Tuesday and nuts,

but I watch it almost every night. And and I forgot about a lot of the episodes. Geez, I mean you go through them and you forget about anyway. So that's fifty four percent, and then there's still a big percentage that check weather forty three percent, and then TV shows and movies along with that. Now people shall online thirty four percent. We still haven't gotten to porn. No, I'm serious thirty three percent. Look at the

news, uh thirty four percent. Music so reading ebooks eighteen percent. Now I read. I've read e books here and there. The thing I hate about e books are on mine. I got it. You got to freeze the orientation because I don't like when it goes when you lay sideways. You still want to read it. Never mind, it's hard to explain it, but I don't want it to flip over anyway. Only fifteen percent of the people watch porn in bed fifteen most everybody does everything else, but only fifteen

percent do the porn in bed. I thought you'd I thought, yeah, everybody knows. The best place to watch porn is work at work? Do you actually can you actually do that? That's probably what you're doing in there when I'm in here working three oh three seven one three talks seven one three eight two five five. So we have Henry with us from excel Roof. We were talking about cooling the house and again, attic ventilation was the first

thing. Second thing was whole house ventilation, and then you can then talk about your air conditioner and if you want to get really efficient. Of course, solar systems. Solar systems have had an uptick recently in all kinds of popularity because first, because electric bills are getting higher, solar has a don't but don't you think, Tom, if they got rid of the subsidies, the entire industry dies. Yes, I think it would go away. I think people are doing it well. I mean I think it would be cost

prohibitive, Yes, I do, yep. And in some of these commercial systems, I am still astounded, honest to god, on how you can get half of it paid for through grants. They're special rep grants. But in addition to that, you can get sixty percent. With other ways, you actually get one hundred and ten percent of it paid for if it's a commercial system considered a rural area. Now rural doesn't mean just out in farmland either, It just means not within major cities. You can get commercial systems.

Now, there are some landlords that these do these commercial systems. So they get a grant and they and I have case histories, they get a grant and then they get the tax credits and the incentives and you add all that up and let's say the system. I'm just giving fake numbers here, but the percentages are real. Let's say the system costs one hundred thous they get one hundred and ten. They put ten grand in their pocket net positive.

Now this commercial system, let's say, is for their warehouse building blah blah blah. So now you subtract the electricity. They're not paying for it, right, So that electricity, let's say in a year, would have been one hundred and twenty five thousand. So now you have one hundred and twenty five thousand a year they're making. Plus they're over generating selling back to the grid, which produces more money. So now you're up to let's say

one hundred and eighty thousand. And then they have a few tenants, and those tenants are paying for their electrical use even though the landlord is getting it through his solar system. But he charges them less than they would pay if they were hooked up to a power company, and he makes money there. So we have some commercial systems where they have commercial buildings and they're also landlords actually making two hundred thousand dollars or more a year on their system. After

it cost them nothing to put it in. I mean, when I was shown this on paper, and you know, Red Rock showed me, Brooks showed me Red Rocks roof and solar, and then Mark over at pro Bid. They're doing commercial systems, getting them damn near paid for. It's amazing to me. It's just amazing how people are pushing solar. You also,

if you here's what else I found out that I found was amazing. If you couple in with the solar system, high efficiency AC or furnaces, all of that, you can get tax credits on the whole system if it's considered integrated, so that that fifteen percent or excuse me, that thirty percent tax credit is on everything go ahead. So there's some manufacturers that do that with the roofing too. Now I heard that. Now the actual roof is the panel, right? Is that getting popular? Yeah, so that's the solar

voltaic shingles. Yeah, well Tesla does it. Yeah, it's very similar to Tesla, but there's also like roofing shingle manufacturers doing that. What I want to know about that is when you guys install those, how do you install them? Do you have to wire them together? Yeah? You do. It's just like a regular do they like plug into the little fast Yeah,

there's a little fasteners and plugs. But what I was getting at with that is like there are some companies I don't want to call them up by name, but they will wrap their shingles, the asphalt shingles into that solar package and sell it as an integrated system. I mean, does that be correct to you? Yeah? Well yeah, I hear you can do that. I mean I was told you can do that if it's integrated into the solar system and part of it, you can get your tax credits on that.

So has your dad has Excel looked into these solar do you guys do any solar shingles? So that specific route I was approached to do that, I did not go through with that. I would think they probably don't like like the Tesla brand. I mean it replaces what they do. Well, what do you mean it replaces what they do? You mean the soul it's not like a panel on top, it's the roof. Right. Oh, so it's both the panel and the roof. But but why couldn't they But

but roofers can install them. They can't. They don't just have anybody install them, right, I don't. I don't know how Tesla works. I'm just talking about the Tesla product. So with with that company that I was referring to, they actually the manufacturer acts as the GC and then subcontracts the

roofer and then uses the roofers labor. So it's it's a very complicated process and there's a lot of different pieces that go into it, and I mean bracket mounted it just it seems to be the simplest and the easiest to work on it as well install. So that's what we're the biggest fans of. Now. When when you do let's say, when you do these solar roofs, I think eventually I can't. I can't. Like GAF makes one,

right, Okay, I think eventually it's going to be the way. Why wouldn't everyone with all of that roof exposure all over, why wouldn't we capture that free energy? Now? How much more though they're probably a lot more than a regular roof obviously, right, yeah, it's a lot more.

And I mean on that note, especially in Denver with our market, we have a lot of these reroofing projects from insurance and the insurance will not cover that additional cost because it's no, no, they won't cover that additional but you can get tax credits. Sure, I mean, I'll bet. I imagine you can have your insurance pay for the roof part, you kick in extra, and I think if you get the tax credits on it, that's an incredible thing. Now with the roof panel, that's just the panel part

of it. You still have to have the inverter and the net metering and all that, which is fine. But from what I can see from these illustrations online, these solar panels are nice looking. Are they a good roof in and of themselves? JF and the rest of them. So the issue with JF is these are not Class four shingle. This is a class three system, So how does that differ from a four? So the four is

the impact resistant. So our market is a hail market. We have lots of hail, and so our shingles are going to be rated out of class two, Class three and class four, and class four often gets as a discount on our insurance. So these are a class three, so they do not qualify for any discount, and they are not rated the same as a class four. Okay, but they still they still are a roof though I

mean they're not. You know, there's still a pretty hardy roofs class three right, sure, I mean three inch hal is going to total like anything, So that argument is definitely valued. Okay, So, as I said, I think that's something we're going to see in the future. Three oh three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five five. We have more coming right up. Go with a sure thing Denver's Best roof of excel

gro dot com. You don't pay a cent until you're content. Time for an insurance check up free no obligation comparison call Compass Insurance paying too much your coverage at dozens of insurance companies find out now three oh three seven to seven to one help. three nine two zero sixteen twenty two. Hi Tom Martino here, three oh three seven one three talk three oh three seven one three eight two five five. We're experimenting with taking a video call, but it's gonna be hard because we don't have the audio. No, no, I'll have it figured out real quick. Well, we'll figure it out. That's a good one, Mark, that's uh. It's an experiment on taking video calls for UH. That's cool. Yeah, for UH for the show. Wouldn't that be cool?

So then we give we'd have to be able to get them on the air, of course with our audio, and then get them on video for our stream. There's still a delay. What do you mean, Oh, well, no, if there won't be a delay, there won't be a delay. There will be a delay because YouTube. YouTube's always delayed. Chopper always YouTube. But we're not going to be listening to them through YouTube in

the future. What we'll do is we'll figure out a way to get them through our regular board and then we'll be able to put out what do we do, Mark, is it a phone number he calls or how do you get them up there? I just send a link. I send them a link and all they got to do is type in their name and they're hot. Oh that's very couz. We'll just have to figure out a way people

line up with a link with them. They line up and then we send them links and then we can get them on the air with video and audio. See cutting edge. We're always looking for cutting edge here on the Troubleshooter Show. I'll tell you that, or we're you gonna say again, Chopper, you're in basing yourself every time you cutting edge hands putting you're not up for technology, Chopper. Just no, I was going to say, I

can stay at home now and talk to you. No, but yeah you could actually And uh, speaking of which, where is where is deputy uh deputy doc today? Anyway? So uh, let me get back to a topic we were talking about, and I'll tell I'll take Mike if he's on there right now. But right now, as far as uh, where where is it? Oh? Credit card delinquencies all over the country an all time high, and now they say probably that will spawn a new round of bankruptcies.

So what I want to know is how is that happening in the best economy apparently we've had in twenty years? Because, by the way, I don't know if you've heard that or not. With the NBA interview, And did you know that President Biden also said he has gotten more accomplished than any president in history? Did you know that more accomplished and accomplished more and done more good than any he's even insulting his own Barack Obama when he said that,

but he's bragging he's gotten more accomplished than any other president. Uh. I guess we can throw the whole civil war thing out of it now. There is another trend, by the way, there's another trend going on with unemployment. They say that there are people advertising for jobs and making it look like there are jobs available to keep their public image up and to not take hits in the stock market. But when you apply for the jobs, they

ghost you. They say they're hiring, but they never actually hire. They go through the motions but don't hire people. Have you heard of that mark? That's happening a lot on people. I wonder why, what's the why waste their own time? Because they're saying that it gives the illusion they're busy and vibrant and investors because investors notice layoffs and they notice a lack of hirings or a lack of job openings in it as a leading indicator, by the

way, not necessarily a concurrent UH indicator, but a leading indicator. So businesses want to give a positive leading indicator, so they pretend they are hiring and vibrant. Mike, you have a question for roofing. What's going on? Hi? Tom, Hey, you got a question for your guy from Excel. Yeah, I had them put on a malarkey Class four roof about four years ago. Yeah wait wait, yeah, there's literally a company called malart It is my god, that's Dumba's name, because that's a great word

that that's one of Biden's favorite words. That's a bunch of malarkey. In fact, he uses it in his emails to me all the time. Anyway, go ahead, and sir, so, I've heard advertisements for this company that will treat your roof with a basically organic liquid to keep those shingles pliable. And I'm wondering, first, you're not talking about the one that says it replaces your roof, right that the coding instead of replacing your roof,

you're not talking about that. You're talking about just a treatment, right, right, a treatment to keep the shingles pliable in our extreme UV environment. So I'm wondering, first of all, whether that will void the Mallarkey lifetime warranty and whether Excel thinks it's a decent idea. So, in my professional opinion, I do not believe that that stuff has any lasting effect as far as malarkey, I've heard of a company endorsed that kind of product before.

It's kind of like moisturizing your roof. I mean, it's not really adding any structural, you know, benefits to it. Any pre existing damage is still going to exist. It's any weathering effects are still going to be there. I mean, even if it does add something on top of it, it's going to wear away ferish. I don't think it'll harm anything, but I'll it's probably not worth doing. And what's the cost. I'm talking about this the treatment. How much is it, sir? I don't know.

I haven't even looked into it, so I can't speak on behalf of malarchy for that. I'm not sure. I would be surprised if it was. But that's just my opinion. Now. I thought you were talking about another one too, and that's the one where they say you don't have to replace your roof, they code it and they put a layer of liquid asphalt or something on it. Have you heard of those? I have not. Just is just a no, I go, this is just like a yeah, you know, for years, by the way, for years and I know

this is You're not supposed to say gypsies anymore. Isn't that supposed to be a isn't that supposed to be like politically and correct. But there were travelers whatever you want to call them, and they were going around, uh, selling the spraying the roof or the asphalt and all that. And it's the same stuff. I mean, it's the same concept. You know, it's supposed to extend the life and help it and it it really is a bunch

of crap asphalt shinglers. It takes so long to leach out their oils and there really it does, I mean, so to add to it, I frankly don't even know the extent they can absorb it. It sounds like a topical treatment that will eventually be leached out by the sun. Anyway, Yeah, I really agree with that. And then on the Mallarkey warranty, I would reach out to the Malarkey rep who's local here or I have this PF. I'm looking over it. There's a lot of legal language in it.

I would just verify with them. Now, as far as some of our problems in society, I want to switch gears real quick. Do you know the biggest There are two things excluded by health insurance almost all the time when it comes to claims. Two things, and probably those two things are some of the most important things for our health. One is dental I've always said

dental should not be separate at all. You can take away cosmetic dentistry, but dental cleanings and dental checkups should be primary healthcare because they're the number one indicator of disease. If you have gum disease and mount disease, it causes inflammation throughout your whole body. But then the other thing, when it has to do with the ills of our society, do you know that what do you think the biggest turndown of medical claims is what going to take a shot

in the dark? Alternative medicine? Well, no, no, Actually, alternative medicine isn't covered at all, so that's kind of a trick question. It's not covered at all alternative medicine. So therefore, I mean and chiropractice no longer considered alternative. So those are not turned down because they're not accepted, they're not covered. Mental health claims denied. Do you know one of the biggest deniers of mental health claims Kaiser Kaiser. So mental health claims are

turned down, probably more than any other claim. So why why do you think? And that is one of the biggest problems we have in the country because a lot of things stem from that, as far as violent lens and craziness. Anyway, I thought you'd be interested to know that. So dental I think should be major medical it should be or not major. It should be part of our regular healthcare. And then mental health is turned down more

than any other claim. Go with a sure thing Denver's Best roofer Excel Roofing dot com. You don't pay a cent until you're content. Time for an insurance checkup free, no obligation. three oh three nine two zero sixteen twenty two. Hi Tom Martinez, your troubleshooter three oh three seven one three talks seven one three two five five In the top ten by the way, and the top ten highest scammed states for falling for scams. Colorado's smack dab in the middle five. They're in the top ten for scams. That's why my show thrives. The top ten. They have seven victims for one hundred thousand population and the financial loss per one

hundred thousand people is seventy eight hundred dollars. Now what surprises me is the number one state for ripoffs. This really surprises me. Wisconsin. What's that all about? Is it because they can take advantage of the farmers. The number two is District of Columbia. Number three is Nevada. Now everyone thinks Vegas, right, because there's a lot of scams come well, but remember this is not where the scams come from. This is the number one area

or the top ten areas for being scammed. So you have Wisconsin, DC, Nevada, and then Alaska and then Colorado. Rounding out the list, you have Vermont, Virginia, New Jersey, Illinois, Oregon. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason for these areas. I was looking politically, I was looking demographically, I was looking strategic. There's no geographic that I can see there's nothing there demographically. No. Politically no, they're all

all over the place politically. So that just is weird that these states fall for more scams. Okay, you got some follow up, chopper. What's going on? Bro, I've got my mic on Tom. Thanks. Both these fallow ups have this time. I'm going to look them up here. They have the same issue, the part it's not being available. Oh oh wait, wait, do you have names on those so I can look up the case. Yeah, let's go with Mark. He was the gentleman with the boat down in San Juan, and he could hardly use it. He

couldn't use it at all, and didn't it What did he want? He just wanted his boat fixed. They he was waiting on parts, and he kept on putting him off. I called down probably three or four times. They called me back. The parts came in, they put it. They delayed him again because they had six new boats to put out. I thought that was reasonable, and bottom line, he got his boat. Oh really, yes? No, wow, well that's pretty damn cool. You got to give me a dinger there, bro, I don't have my day on

that. Since I'm not in my home studio, I can't pull it out so readily, thank you very much. Okay. The second one, this is the same thing parts, but this is which one was this? This is uh Martin and lean Martin floor is it's with a lazy days of RV. God. That was Yeah, that was sad. Yeah, yeah, but they bought one bought a RV for sixty nine dollars. They have sixty nine. They bought a they had a two thousand and eight motor home. Right, they bought for sixty nine to four. Okay, there's two sides

of the new store. Before they bought it. There were some defects that was that were noted right and they didn't get it fixed. Well. The main thing, and this is where you and Mark had come in on this because I'm not an expert on RV is apparently the part is so the automatic level or levels the RV. They said they couldn't use their units since the

day they bought it. However, I talked to a gentleman it lazy days and this is the one out in a roar where the old stapleedon airport runway within Yeah, and he says that's wrong that they could have they could be using their RV they would just have to manually level it. Oh, so he's saying they should have came and got it. So the reason, okay, until the park came in, right until the park. Well I kind

of agree with that. I did once I heard that. And uh, I mean, if you're even if it's not perfect, if it's not unsafe or anything, and you can use it, go ahead and use it until the parts come in. Is it that hard to level it manually versus no, No, there's usually a little bubble there and you can. What you do is you sit there and you you manipulate it, depending on if you have hydraulic or if you have air bags. The newer, bigger units have

air bags that level it. Okay, right, And Lazy eight said they would have even driven the RV to their house so they could have used it, or they will still do that. I had to back off Tom because they both got attorneys and I will. But okay, but why are they suing if they can use their RV because apparently they don't agree that they can use their RV And Lazy eight says, we have legal advice. They said they had legal advice. I backed out, Mark, do you have auto

leveling. You do, I'm sure you do with that, Oh my god. Yeah. But I'll say this, I'd have to have two systems fail, the airbags and the other levelers, but it still doesn't even matter. I if I had to auto level, and I had in our old unit, I haven't had to do it in this unit ever. I just put a tennis ball on the tile and make it so the ball doesn't roll. It's not that hard to do. It's not like you're out with jacks. But don't you doing self? I mean, don't you have a manual system

if you want to do it right? You do? You can? You can. In our mindset, it's all it's all computerized. I don't have any form of a Oh there's no there's no level. You're thinking on the older ones. This is a two thousand. Had mine had both. You could go to auto and then it'd go like and adjust all the air bags, or you went manual and then you could like adjust things. Yeah,

well that's that's what I'm saying. So on my manual one, each of the four legs, basically I can manually operate bring them down or up, so I can level that way. But then you just hit the auto level on the air bag after you drop defeat, and then the air bag will dial it in. If yes, but if both but hold on, if both failed, Tom, what you would have to do? Well, if both failed one hundred percent, you'd be well, you just wouldn't be able

to level. But you can. You could manually do either or though Okay, I get it, I get it, but that's odd. I'm shocked that you have jacks that go down and hit the ground. Oh yeah, man, garb like that. Yeah, because well, and then the air bags on top of that. So let's say the airbag bags go ahead. Yeah, if the air bags went out, you could literally level. You could let all the air out one hundred percent and then level on those legs.

But when you're just stopping at Walmart or stopping, you know, one night, let's say it's overnight, while you're heading somewhere, you just use the air bags to level. Okay, But if you're on a grade, if you're on something that's like a foot, I mean, I don't care what it is. I've never seen a bus or a big RV that's gonna level handle two feet with airbags. No, no, no, no, there's a limit to where I mean, even with the jacks, there's a

limit to where you can do it safely. And yeah, but these people, all they had to do was hit the button. I don't want people to think they had to get out and manually jack this thing up like a fifth wheel. Right. What we're saying is there's buttons where you hit them and the feet come down, and then you can adjust each foot up that

down. It's not that hard. There's four usually four directional buttons, one for each a quadrant and mark if if the thing is just slightly out of the level, everything inside still works, like yeah, just a little crooked, yeah, most all the time. Yeah, yeah, the leveling is like sitting in a like sitting in a lenar home. I'm kidding. Most most of the time. The leveling is for us, just for our comfort and and also for drains and stuff it can it can help and on the

roof if you get if you get rain and stuff like that. So the bottom line is lazy eight said they could have used it lazy lazy days. You know. I'm wondering. I'm wondering if we should put them in the Biden home a depitty dock and deputy chopper. Now I'm and uh, we we should have the Biden Home for for retired deputies. And speaking of financing, I had a text here about this Henry for roofing. Most I think your dad said eighty five percent of the people get their roofs

replaced through insurance because of where we live and how we live. But you have about fifteen percent people that have to fifteen to twenty percent that buy roofs. Is that about it? Retail customers? Yeah, so the retail customers will always be there, and it depends that might because of a real estate transaction right where they're requiring a new roofs yeah, or it's just so old you got to get a new one exactly. I mean there's roofs like cedar

shakes. It's really hard to total that out with Hale, and so there's situations where customers will be forced to pay out of locket for their roof or their insurance might drop them. So there's a lot of situations when that that comes up. Now, one thing somebody wanted to know is they're financing available. Now. I don't know if you guys deal with that or not. Do you absolutely you can finance a roof? Oh wow? I wonder if do they do it like an equity loan? Do you know or what?

Do you have any idea? I don't know if it's a lean on the house or not. I'm asking. I don't believe, so I'm pretty sure it's a line of credit. Okay. So anyway, they do have financing available for roofs. That's good news for this person because apparently they need one, and again they need it, but they don't have an insurance problem. Go ahead, yeah, call us up. I mean we can go out there, we'll do a full evaluation of the roof, give you a quote,

and we do our own financing. We can provide whatever rates you would be interested. I mean, what you'd apply for, you know, what would you give you? And yeah, just go from there. Okay, now listen to this. Okay, we have a ton of text for some reason. But I don't know what this one means. It's exempt until you sell it, so if you buy it used, it's no longer exempt.

I don't what were we talking about, guys? Then? I think it's thinking that has some to do with the emissions, and they're completely wrong. In the sixth year, if you sell it, you have to get a test. If it's five or I think five and a half years, you don't have to right, like you were saying it, it's it's the vehicle, not the owner, of course, right. So the year, it's the year of the vehicle, right, And will there be a time do

they? They're not phasing out tests at all though, right, even every car, no matter how new it is, Like if you get a twenty twenty five car, it's exempt for seven years, right, Guys, at the end of the seventh year, you still got to get it tested. I mean, in other words, they're not making cars that are exactly electric, yeah, for right now. I mean they could change that in the future for sure, because they're getting better at emissions exactly now. Speaking of

the heat, I got a text and I looked it up. People heard that if you fuel during these hot days, you're paying a lot for vapor and you're paying for your paying for fuel, but you're not getting as much that the volume. You get more volume with cooler weather. Can I address that? Go ahead? I looked it up. Can't I actually have my mic on. I have a car, and a lot of cars tell you

how many miles you have? Yes, when you fill up, That's what I've noticed that with the heat, it'll stop at the pump and it'll only say I have like three hundred and thirty. On colder times, when I fill it up, it'll go all the way up to three hundred and sixty and it's the same. So you do think you get more do You're not? But you're not paying for You're not paying. In other words, it doesn't with hot weather. You're not getting robbed, is what I'm saying I

don't. Yeah, the volume in your tank can be affected somewhat. That's for existing gas. For example, if you go on a hot day and your existing tank is very hot, it has more volume, so you can you add less to it, but you add, but you pay for every dime and you're not getting cheated. If it's cold, your your gas has less volume, and therefore when you fill up your you can put more in.

That's why your mileage is showing. However, if you started out with an empty tank on an extremely hot day or an extremely cold day, do you get more or less gas? The answer is there's no difference. Or let's put it this way, that the measurements were less than one percent of a difference. Why it's logical, think about it. I had to think about it for a minute, and that is because gas is stored underground and it's not subject to the ambient temperatures. The average is about sixty eight degrees

to sixty five no matter what. So those tanks are insulated and buried enough now that you don't get any variations in volume. So I hadn't thought of that. So thanks for texting that. That was a brain teaser, all right, now here's a question for Mark, and they knew I wasn't gonna say, Mark, do you think that liberals will back off of the incindiary speech about threats and dictatorships and doing away with elections? Do you think or is it just temporary? No, you don't think they will back off.

It wasn't even temporary, but who cares. I thought it was. I don't think the other side will either. Okay, you think they're both going to just hit it. Well, the difference is the one calls name, so one says, hey, he's an idiot, he's a buffoon, he's stupid, he can't talk right, he looks stupid. I mean that's one. But then the other one's like, he's hitler, He's going to kill the country. They'll never be an election. So there's a lot of differences

in the hate speech. But I don't think either side is giving up on the hate speech. Okay, Biden, Biden has nothing to run on. The only thing he can run on is anti Trump. He has done nothing. He can't form he can't form a sentence on. He apparently marked it not here, he marked it not hear the interview with Lester Holt he's accomplished more than any other president. I watched the I watched the entire interview,

and he was a bumbling buffoon. Yet again, Why these people, why his handlers, and I don't know if that's just Jill or all of them, why they even allow him to go interview? Here's what I understand. Did you see him jump down Lester's throat? I mean, this guy was pretty much provided you reporting on the lies that he told? Is what they asked, and is what he asked. Why aren't you reporting on the lies?

Why just on me? But but here's what I want to know, when went really, oh, you know what, I'm really sick and tired of hearing. Honest to god, you gotta talk about this because I'm tired of hearing Biden say this, and he says it every fricking time, and he also does it in his emails. And that's this that he's promised that on day one he's going to be a dictator. Did you ever hear the interview where that was said? Did you ever hear it? Yeah? It

was total bs But then there was nothing like it. But why wouldn't Why wouldn't an interviewer say, well, really, did he really say he would want it to be because because they wanted in the bag for the Democrats. The other thing he says all the time he brings up this bloodbath. The bloodbath was about car manufacturers in the US. That was all that was about. It had nothing to do with like a blood bath in the street. And you're right, none of these people call him on them because they all

have it in the bag for Biden. Why I have yet to understand that except where indoctrinated, indoctrinated very young now coming up through public school. Then they want you to go to college. And by the way, most of the people coming out with stupid degrees are making no money whatsoever compared to a plumber and an electrician or anybody else. But the bottom line is they indoctrinate

you and to hating the right. It doesn't matter if it's Trump, just could be Bush, it could be Reagan, it could be whoever's next. They indoctrinate you from day one in kindergarten to hate the right. I have no idea why. Now here's oh, by the way, speaking to that, one of the tools, say it to Shepherd, one of the tools, one of the tools that I've seen being used right now is Quorra. I used to like Quorra, you know, because it was like, you

know what Quorra is. It's Cora is a forum for questions and answers. I mean it really you just go on there and ask like questions and then experts who are on their answer and then answer. I've answered questions in the past on Quorra a lot, but now I swear to God, it's like such baiting. I mean it's like, do you think that President Trump is a sensible moral man? Now? I mean, first of all, those questions are so baited, I mean, and then you got all of these

detractors. You never ever see anything on Quora that is critical of Biden ever, and they hate Trump. Not that I care, but I mean I thought it was a form for knowledge. You know, you would ask a lot of cool questions on Cora. Quorra was a really at one time, it was a really good form for information. Now, of course, you can take the place of Quora with artificial intelligence. I mean you get chat

GPT. Why go on there and listen to a bunch of blowhards. But in any case, the bottom line is it's become a political tool, and I don't know if any anyone else has noticed that it has literally become a political tool, at least with other forms of social media, you know, I mean absence of censorship. We've heard about during sometimes you do see a variety of opinions. For God's sakes, you know, you see you see all opinions, right, I haven't seen recently any particular people being censored or

false information, except how would you know if they're censored? That's true too, I mean, how would we know if we're not seeing it. I think people would complain like they were during COVID. I mean, I'm not hearing a lot of that like we did during COVID and stuff. Now,

as far as just this is very interesting. Do you know that financial distress, through interviews and surveys of bankruptcies, debt, accounts in distress or accounts payable late, and lowest credit scores are at an all time high during one of what we call the best economies, at least that's what I heard during the Lester Hold interview. One of the best economies in history, we have more financial distress. Now, what would you say is the number one city

in financial distress? Taking into the count the matrix of late pays, credit cards, bankruptcies, debt, and just all of that. What would you say the number one city in distress is just take a guess. I mean, it's not what you think. It is Detroit, Chicago, And number two is Houston, Number three is New York. Number four is La. Think about that. So you do have, you do have, and then Dallas Vegas. But Colorado's doing pretty damn good. Denver's doing pretty good.

It's way down on the list, out of the top one hundred, it's way down on the list. I'm surprised Vegas wasn't higher for financial distress. Absolutely well, it is pretty high. I mean it's it's pretty up there. As far as Vegas is number six out of one hundred, that's pretty damn high. You guys, realize Nevada is going red big time this year. I mean he's so far ahead Trump that is in that state, it's crazy. You know. The main reason why, No, he's going to

get rid of taxes on tips. That's when it's a complete it's a complete industry. I mean he should be able to do that fairly quick. I don't even know if that I don't know how that works. Honestly, does that have to go? It's over the irs. It seems to me like it would be legislation. Why why Okay, let's dive into that. Why would it be legislation, he's over the irs. Did they actually vote to tax tips? I don't know. No, No, they didn't vote to

tax tips. They vote to tax income, and it's considered income. But here's where I think, Yeah, but they weren't. But they weren't taxed forever, No, mark they were. Here's what it was though, here's what it was. See now, what they do are they take gross receipts and they impute twenty percent average to the workers. Okay, they impute it so if you don't report at least that it's imputed to you. Before it used to be all voluntary. So when you say they didn't pay tax on

it. Nineteen eighty two they passed it and it was Congress. It was called the Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act, and that's when they started taxing tips. They prior to that time, they were never taxed. They were considered they were considered gratuity or gift, which is non taxable. And if you think about it. Isn't it a gift when you give someone a test because they treated you right it as a freaking gift. Yes, it is,

but after it was considered income. There were two ways it was considered income. One was through voluntary reporting and then they switched to that mandatory minimum where they take the gross receipts and impute it. We have more coming right up. Hi Tom Martine, your troubleshooter three oh three

seven one three talks seven one three eight two five five. You know, you know there's a there's a lot of there's a chasm when when we talk about the environment and food and everything. Everything has become political nowadays. Let's face honest to God. I mean, okay, the Church of climate change. We all know about that, and my god, you can't listen to a weather report without being preached to. And as if we can do something about it, and we really can, I mean we really really really really

really really can't. If if the entire entire Asia reduce their emissions to nothing, it would be it would have a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, if any effect. But I don't want to get into that right now. What I want to say is I do believe in being good stewards to the environment, to the air, to the water, and trying to purify and trying to trying to have the best kind of life we can. I mean, who doesn't want that? Who doesn't want to stay healthy? I

always talk about healthy water, eating healthy, talk about exercise. All of that's good stuff, right, and obviously we want good air to breathe, right. I don't know why it stuff like that has to be political. I think it's because a lot of people have different ways of doing it and think that if you do it another way, you're evil, And it gets down to you know, we have extreme crazies on each end of the spectrum. But one thing that no one seems to explain, and I kind of

think it's probably all the maybe the hormones and antibiotics and GMOs. Who knows. But since nineteen sixty five, a very interesting phenomenon has been happening with people who were born after nineteen sixty five. Do you know that they're aging faster now? I know people think, well, everyone seems younger nowadays, but the actual chronological age and biological age those born after nineteen sixty five up till now. The farther you're born after sixty five, the more likely that

your chronological age and your biological age are different. You're biologically older. In other words, let's put it in another way. If you're born in the fifties and you were born and you're ten, you're ten. If you're twenty or twenty, if you're forty or forty. Now, yeah, people died earlier and all that we had. People died from pneumonia, for God's sakes, There're people were dying from a lot of things. I'm not talking about

things that kill you. I'm talking about your aging process. Your aging process pretty much kept in line with your chronological age. Now, maybe we didn't take care of ourselves. So when we were forty, a forty year old back then maybe didn't look as good as a forty year old now, right, But all things being equal, if you look at kids born after sixty

five, are people born after sixty five, they're not necessarily kids? And you look at people as they get older right now, being born right now or kids being born in the last ten or twenty years are aging faster? Now why is that? Do you think that they've actually done studies and not only are the aging faster, but on set diseases based on this age are happening. Do you think it's the food? What do you think the environment? And then if you saw the Blue Zone documentary, Now again, this

guy, this guy's a little I mean, he's a little weird. I mean I like him, But the Blue Zone documentary, I didn't like it so much that this guy. I thought this guy was combine a health authority. But what he did was studied pockets in the world that have longevity. And what he found were things common to all those pockets where people live to be one hundred routinely. Routinely they were only I think six or seven pockets in the world. He called them blue zones. There was an explanation for

that, but I forget that explanation. It just happened to be a nickname for something they ate somewhere. But in any case, it was really amazing the things they found in common and why these people were living routinely to one hundred. But get this, since that documentary was made where people were routinely living to one hundred, he went back and the lifespans are now. The more technology and the more advancements in civilization that happened to those areas, the

more the death rate increased. So the number one thing I noticed in all of those blue zone pockets where people lived to be one hundred or older. No, no, there are people. They were walking around at one hundred and five hundred and six, still doing their morning aerobics or morning exercises. The one thing that I noticed is they're not one of them. Not one of those areas had any processed food whatsoever. Everything came out of the ground

and was made by them from their bare hands to the table. Not one thing was processed, not one not even meat. Meat they ate came from the animal, but there was it wasn't processed. There was no you know, hanging up and salty, and you know, the original processing was that kind of thing, right, and then you had all kinds of different processing with grains. They don't do any of that, none of that. So, and let me give you an example of what processing does. When people

say, what's wrong with a loaf of bread? What's wrong with a piece of bread? That piece of bread, if you look at how it's manufactured today, it represents more grain than you would ever eat in a million years in one sitting. But with a slice of bread, because of how it's condensed and processed, you get to eat that one slice of bread. Now, originally, food processing was introduced in order to stave off famine and starvation. It was a way to efficiently produce food and to preserve it, and

it was great when you were avoiding starvation. There was nothing wrong with processed food for its purpose. Its purpose was to get mass food processed and preserved so it didn't go bad overnight, and then you could feed people without them dying. That was the original purpose. Then it became a convenience, and then after a convenience, it's become an addiction. We're literally addicted to the processing. We're addicted. We don't know we are, but we are.

We're addicted to the carbs and all of that. So, to make a long story short, the first thing in common every single person had in every single blue zone bar none. There was zero processed foods, zero processed drinks. Now they had some alcohol. But what I say process, I'm talking about today's processing. No, no pasteurizing, no homogenized stuff nothing, No

high fractose corns, rup no nothing condensed. Nothing condensed either. There was nothing condensed, nothing processed, nothing overly sweetened, nothing, no carbonations, nothing. It was all non. That was the first thing. Then there were a few others. Go with a sure thing Denver's Best roofer Excel Roofing

three nine, two zero, sixteen twenty two. Hi Tom Martinez here three all three seven one three talks seven to one three eight two five five. All right, So as far as roofing goes, how long does someone have to put in a claim? They have a year, don't they? They have a year? So I think you have a year to put in a claim. I'm reading a text by the way. Yeah, the insurance varies somewhat, but it's about a year typically. Yeah, So if you don't

put in a claim, you could end up paying for yourself. A lot of people do wait, don't wait. You don't have to have the repair done, but you have to have the claim done in a year. And also another thing that happens you only if you wait till. If you wait eight months or nine months, then you have another problem because you only have a year to sue your insurance company. When it comes to bad faith, you have to do it. I believe it's one year from the date of

loss. So you have to really be careful not to sit on your rights when it comes to insurance. So, now, how how long do they like? How long do people usually wait when you guys go there? As far as actual repairs, How long have they waited? You know, after a hailstom we usually get people calling it immediately and then we have it trickle off. So I think it's really just people procrastinate working on the roof.

It's not a sexy, interesting thing to do, right, But it's not like something neighbors walk by and say, wow, you redid your roof. Yeah, it's very necessary. So if you if you wait too long, then you your insurance, right. But if you do it and then wait, how long have people waited? Like you after the claims file? Yeah, have you done? Have you showed up? I mean, how long

have some people waited? I'm curious. You know, typically like that, that might be a couple of months after the claim, but we rarely see people hold out to them. Oh really okay, I mean materials go up, and they could go up. I was about to say go down. They never go down. There's always these price increases. Our suppliers, Pacific ABC, they're always putting these price increases in. But here's the bad thing.

Okay, the bad thing is doing it too quickly, too and they sign these people at the door man and I know you did a commercial on it and I talk about it all the time. I don't know why people fall for this because it sounds logical. Somebody knocks at your door, right and they say, mister martinro we want to check your roof courtesy, free of charge. We just want to see what kind of damage you have, if any, If you may want to let your insurance know, of course,

uh, you know, but but it's good to know first. And all you have to do is give us authorization to get on your roof. And they want you to sign on the clipboard, and you don't need you do not need authorism to give authorization. If someone tells you that they're lying to you, there is no such thing or wave response, you know, wave responsibility. So if we get injured, you're not responsible. Never you don't have to sign for anything, okay at all? Quick question about that.

If you are a renter and somebody comes up and says, hey, I need to you know, you to sign this so I can go on and look at your roof, now, who is well, because that's a scampions a tenant could sign. A tenant could sign that, and there's no way a roofer can hold the landlord or the owner to that contract. That would be just stupidity on the on a on a roofer's part. That's why. Usually what the roofer says, are you the homeowner? Usually they say

are you the homeowner? How long have you lived here? Oh, you may have some arm damage, you know, And they say things like this, we're replacing the roofs down the street here or next door, or we or we've been out doing courtesy surveys of roof damage for people, so to let them know if they should put in a claim or not. That's what

they say, so it sounds like a public service. We just need to get a signature so you don't so we don't hold you responsible for injury, get any scammed on any of those just say hey, I'm a renter. Yeah, Or you say, look, you can check my roof if you want, but I'm not signing anything. That's it right there. I mean, these contracts, I've never seen them as bad as they are right now. If you see these things, they have twenty five percent cancelation fees.

That's up five percent than what we've seen before. They also lock you in just to like this whole list of things. They're not liable for any damage. They caused your home. I mean it's a big release or contract, and some of them they have up to a year to start. I mean they take your mind. Oh, and then they want your first insurance check. Yeah, it's horrible. I mean, do not pay a cent nobody

up front. And if you do that, you self bond yourself. If the project goes horribly wrong, you still have the money to pay somebody else to do it. If you go with one of these companies, you have no backing. None. And here's the deal. I'm not saying that everybody that comes to your door is a rip What I'm saying is, of all the roofing ripoffs I've ever had, about ninety five percent of them start with

someone knocking at your door. That doesn't mean everyone at your door, but that's the biggest universe of ripoffs, is when someone knocks on your door. You can still call a company and get ripped off too. I'm not saying you can't. But the number one, the number one sign they want you to sign something upfront to look at your roof. Then they won't present you

with a complete contract. And that's number two and number three, they want money upfront, go with a sure thing Denver's best roofer Excel Roofing dot com. You don't pay a cent until you're content. Hey, I'm Tom Martino, your troubleshooter three oh three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five five. Have you ever purchased a brand ever based on a company's political stance ever, or environmental stance, or or their commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

There's an answer here, I've avoided it. Now, Okay, that's what they're saying. Most consumers actually use that to avoid companies, not to choose, but to avoid them. However, in an interview of Democrats and Republicans, what percentage of Democrats do you say responded that they do purchase based on these factors, especially diversity, equity and inclusion. Would you say a majority of them by because of it or don't care. I'm going to tell

you right now, sixty two percent of them say they don't care. Sixty no, Sixty two percent of Democrats say they don't care. Thirty eight percent say they do care. Now, let's go to Republicans. What percentage don't care? Eighty three seventy nine percent don't care. Twenty one percent of even Republicans care. Now here's what's funny. The independent shopper mimics closely the Republicans.

Now, when it comes to blacks, black consumers, fifty seven percent say they do not purchase based on equity and inclusion and diversity fifty seven percent. Forty three percent say they do buy because of that. But I find that very interesting. Now, in the entire country, taken all adults together, all adults together, the vast majority of US American adults consumers do not care anything about a company's politics their diversity and inclusion. Seventy two percent say

they do not base their purchases on that at all. Now, some of those could mean they don't purchase at all, but they don't base their purchases. Twenty eight percent of Americans say they do. Yet more and more companies are coming out with all of these policies and feel they have an obligation to

do so. Isn't that weird? Anyway, we're out of time.
