Yeah, ripped up, so you don't have come running Just as fast as we can. Shooter's gonna help me come, Ma Dix is the Troubleshooter Show. No Tom Martine, Hey, Hey, hey, I'm Tom. Welcome to the show. You know, like I like to say, every day, the only show, it's kind of anywhere in the universe, the longest running radio show with the same host still on the air, solving problems, answering questions, taking complaints, making your life a little easier. Yeah.
So I love having this show so we can talk about things before they frustrate me too much. You see on the wide shot here of your streaming, I have Brooke with me from Red Rocks, Roof and Solar, and that's a topic onto itself. I just wanted to say hi, and she's on the shot, and then I'm gonna go to one shot. We're gonna go back to Brook. But right now I have so much to talk about. One of the things I want to talk about is the whole solar industry.
It's fragmented. You have those who do sales, then they sell the contract, you know, those who take the contract and they source the materials and sometimes they even sub out the installation. It's like they're a general for the installation but not the installer. But they have installers, and then when you want service, it's crickets. So it kind of reminded me of this satellite business. The TV, the direct Dish I think is all going away anyway,
with broadband and all that. I mean, here's the thing with direct broadcast satellite. They call them dbs. It's really we're talking about Dish direct TV, and the problem with those is if you wanted them installed, you had everybody with a pickup truck installing them and selling them, but they wouldn't come back. And if you ever had a problem, no one wants to fix it. Dish doesn't want to fix it, Direct TV doesn't want to fix it, and the independent installers don't want to fix it. They just
get commissions on signing people up. The whole thing was terrible. It still is, by the way. That's why the industry is dying. There was no service none, So if you called Dish, they're not really interested in servicing your system. Neither is Direct. They're only interested in installations, and there was no one really to service them. Now the same kind of thing goes with solar you're out in the wilderness, and that's some of the things
we'll be talking about right now. Do we have Deputy doc On anywhere because he has a client on video today. Hey, Doc Mohon. He was on a while ago and he had a problem with home depot and I remember this problem. It was kind of weird. Uh. He thinks he overpaid for kitchen remodeling. Doc. Can you sum it up please? Hey, Tom, I was I tried a couple of times to get in touch with Mohan and I was unable to So you never really worked this. I didn't work it. Okay, I'm sorry. I will do it now. Okay,
okay, though that's fine because I didn't understand well. And I'm glad you called back Mohans. Sometimes this happens, but I wanted to ask. I'm trying to find out the problem. It's really difficult for me to get to the essence of the problem. And by the way, anyone listening can call with a problem, question or complain. The sooner you call the better three oh three seven one three talk three oh three seven one three eight two five five the sooner the better. Don't ever let it faster, but Mohan
had this. When was this remodeling done? Mohan? And actually I have only an estimate for the remodeling. You never did it yet. You didn't do it yet? No, I didn't do it yet. They didn't do it. Okay, hold on who gave you? Who gave you the estimate? And one guy called Anderson, Jim Jim Anderson, Jim Anderson people? And is he with home Depot? Yeah, he's a designer something. Okay? Were you going to were you going to have Home Depot do the whole
job? In other words, were they going to hire the people to do it? Yes, sir, that's sure. Okay. So you had you had a remodeling estimate by Home Depot and what and you didn't do it? Did you pay anything yet? Yeah? I paid eight six nine dollars okay. Now when you paid this, what was that eight eighty six hundred four? What was it for? That is for the whole thing England? Was this for everything? Labor and materials or just materials, material and labor?
Okay? But you paid it up front? All? Yes? Why? And they they wanted it to be paid a front because they said the medials are ready and it is going to be shipped. Okay now now, but it was your understanding by contract that the eight six hundred dollars included labor and materials. Yes, sir, okay, what went wrong? Then? Tell me why you're calling. When I called you first to you debuted ken and he talked to the store manager erin Jelly, and she refunded an amount of
thousand, one sixty three. Okay. I don't understand when you first called us, did you want to cancel the whole thing? Is that what you were saying? Yes, I wondered. Okay, okay, so you called us because you wanted to cancel and they won't give you a refund. Yes, sir, that's a point. Okay, how okay? Hold on. So the whole point is they're keeping eighty six hundred dollars. Did they give any part of it back? You said, yes, there is, and gave me hundred and sixty three and said, okay, now I got you.
Okay, they kept one thousand and sixty three. They refunded me. Excuse me, they refunded it. I'm sorry, sir. Yeah, and they refunded the money, keeping the balance with them and uh so how much are they keeping right now? You did the math. How much are they keeping? See six nine hundred? Okay, Now, why did they say they're not giving you a refund? They said they're working on that and they'll be no. No, But why wouldn't they give you a refund on the
whole thing? Did they claim that something was custom ordered or anything? And they said the materials were ready and it is on the way to the store. But okay, it doesn't I've never heard of home Depot doing this. How did you make your payment? The Jim Menderson said there to pay? How did you make your payment? Was it by check, credit card or cash? A credit card? Home Depot credit card? So did you try to contest the charge on your credit card? Yes? And what did your
credit card company say? That is a city bank And I didn't have a direct contact with the credit card company. But this is under statement recently that it is expired. You have to pay. They said it. They said it's too late. Yeah, I expired. I don't understand that. Okay, hold on, let me ask you this silence, When did you when did all this take place? When did you sign that contract and pay the money? It is in two thousand and three. The papers just roughly yeah,
roughly two twenty three to mid or end of the year. When mid year? Okay, that's all I need to know. So Doc, we here the problem now right. It's uh, it's basic, It's pretty basic. He paid eighty six hundred dollars mid twenty three on a credit card. He wanted to cancel. How long after you made the contract? Did you want to cancel? Was it a day? Was it a week? Was it a month? How long after? Uh? Maybe get in a month because okay, within a month. I didn't Yeah, because I didn't get
along with this. GIMMEI Anderson because he's doing Okay, I think I really think you should get your money back. I mean, I don't see why they should keep it. But Deputy Doc, if you can now make sure we call back, I will definitely now now that I understand it, I'll get in touch with Milan. Yeah, and then home Depot. I mean, look at I don't see why they would keep all of that money,
just that that it doesn't make any sense. Kazin wants to talk about Exfinity Mobile, and I hope it is not the same old problem we've been hearing. But Cazin get started and then we'll take a break. What's going on, Kazen, I'm not talking to you. This is the story. Come about the July thirteen, twenty twenty three. We have this, well have
the phone and my son have the phone. That Verizon and after that reachinge for the Xmnity Mobile because the price was good that for the forty minutes we talked and the agent when they talk to us, they say, okay, we are going to give you gift cards for each phone, twenty two hundred dollars for each phone for you and two hundred dollars if they did card for
another two for my son's phone. So you were supposed to held on, So you were you were supposed to get some rebates when you bought your phones and switched to Exfinity. Yeah, they give us. They give us mo Viso gift cards. They say, if you give the Viso gift card for each boom for two hundred dollars for you, two day daughters for another poom for my son, I add four tons six tons and the off the he say yes, stay yes, day four and the daughters okay, thank you.
After that we got after two months, we got the two two Viso cards and the art in vacation. When we come back, the Ultra is one of them. They undred dollars. Second one did decline and I told it to manathing movie, So hold on so cause then hold on, I'm gonna come right back to you. Okay, Well, we're gonna talk about this three all three seven one three talk three all three seven one three eight two five five. We have more coming up on the Troubleshooter show. Waterpros

So, because then was supposed to get two visa cards two hundred dollars each for activating two phones on extanity, That's where I've gotten so far. So take it away, because in what happened after that? After that Tom call and one of the supervis Well, first of all, did you get the cards? Let's start there. Yes, I got the two cards.
One of the authros, one of is not utrash. Another call, I've called you another lady. She pick it up the phone and they say, yo, we have to give you the ortholicy one hundred dollars for each phone call. I say, why you don't go listen to the tape. At July thirteen, at ten o'clock twenty twenty three, go listen to the tape and agent the office to ask for each phone for two hundred dollars, So why you are not going to do that? They say, we cannot do that. I'll say, okay, what can I do? So kis
in they're claim Let me let me get this straight. They're claiming it was only two hundred dollars total. Yes, not no, no, no, beginning to say to Andre dollars, I asked fourth time and he offered. He said fourth time, you say his cousin to andred dollars for your phone to andred dollars for your song phone. So they mean they they send us, they send us to visa card. The art was one of them. Another one they didn't decline, And I did that mean? I called?
The lady said no, no, no, no, no, he didn't say. I say, not my photon. He say, go listen to Tim and because then I understand. But what I'm asking, what I'm saying is a court. If we call Exfinity, they're going to say that you were only supposed to get one card and it was for one hundred dollars for each phone. Yes, that I understand, but that's the way. That's what they will claim. And you're saying wrong. And if you listen to the original phone call. You will be proven correct, I get it,
I get it. You want your other one hundred bucks bottom line? Right? Or one? It one? One? Oh? That okay? Okay, that's right, that's right. They only gave you two hundred. You want another two hundred and they will not budge. Is that what you're saying? Yes? Okay? But but and you remember, you do remember the day of that call and the time? Right? Yes? Did they did they listen? Did they listen to it? July thirteen? Fine? Okay? When you told him that, did they go back and listen to it?
One of it? One of the supina He went to listen. He came back to me to say, okay, got the good They give me one phone number if they called him your dog the pon these fore daughters. But one was discussed? Is not the art for us? One wasn't wasn't wasn't right? You know they didn't work? So I see, I know, hold on, Casin cause in I hear you introducing a wrinkle. So I have to ask a very simple question right now, though you do have two new phones from that date, you have two new phones on Exfinity,
Is that right? Yes? Okay, even though one didn't work. They corrected that right, Oh, okay, got it, got it? Okay, Hey listen, we need to we need to go over to Xfinity. They're ignoring this guy. I mean, it's pretty plain to me, he said. Listen to the tape. They promised two hund for each. You know what. I wish I knew what their their promotion was back then, because if it's on the internet somewhere, was it on their website about that
promise? On the foreman, all are talking to you, We are talking exactly the same point. I know. But where did you see that? Where did you see the offer to visa cards for two hundred each? That guy you told us, that's why fourth time they say yes, save that the office to you for you. It was all on a phone call. You never you didn't see it in an ad somewhere or anything. It was all on a phone call. Tom is on the phone. I can listen to the taps, I say, go listen. If there I did the
wrong, No, I get it. I just can't believe. I can't believe they just won't give you the the lousy two hundred bucks. I mean, you're so adamant. I don't think you'll take all this time if you were lying. So who do you know who you talked to? Their? No, no, no, some god, I guess some of the Indian. So every time you call, you talk to someone different. Yes, hey, Kachina, do we have a corporate angel and extended Comcast? I know we have one at Comcast. I'm not stry. Well that would be
the same. They could get us in touch. Can you do me a favorite, Kachina? Could you see if can we email this to them or something or call them even or should we if you want to give it to someone else to do it. But I think what we need to do is at least get some attention for this guy. It allows you two hundred bucks. They made a promise they didn't come through. I hate when that happens. By the way, we've heard Ecinity doing this a lot. You know
who else does it a lot? Verizon used to do it a lot centrally, well not centrally so much, but there are so many companies. They make promises on the damn phone and when you get your bill, guess what. It didn't come through. We've had a lot of issues with a T mobile lately. Yeah, that's right, And here's the problem. They make promises, they don't come through. So who do you want to give it
to? You? Do you want us to like someone to call our angel over there and say, listen, take care of this guy, just take care of him. Yeah, let me get some information from him and then we can go from there. Okay, thank you. Three oh three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five to five. Now Deputy Dollar has a follow up. We'll get to. Ted wants to talk about easylock with Deputy Dollar. This was a problem that was hard to believe, but
I hope we have some progress on that. We also have Brooke White with us from red rox roof and Soolar redrocks dot redrosars dot com, and I wanted to ask her a quick question. I'm going to go to our white shot here. Now, Brook, that white shot means two shot. It doesn't mean I think you're wide at all. Now, by the way, show me, give me your bottle. Give me. I'm gonna show this. If you're streaming, guys, I know you're streaming my moron stream guys

Hi, how marts? You you here? Three all three seven one
three talk three oh three seven one three A two five five. So, Deputy Dollar, you've been working with Ted. Let me look this one up. This is Ted from yesterday and he had a problem with easylock. Uh, bring me up to date on the problem. Actually, I mean I didn't have the sir, a little more information, all right, So hold on a sec. Let's bring Ted up. Ted. I'm looking for your call here. I don't know why I don't have it. Ted, tell me what you were calling about. I'll find your call here, Go ahead,
Sir. I was I was just curious about it. Uh. I've never heard of what they're what they're doing to, you know, release some equity out of a house. And I, oh, that was it? He was, Okay, that was it. Uh, this was a new loan that you found. And by the way, Dollar, did you did you go online and call them or what? Yes, I called and talked to the very night. Gentlemen, Henry and their customer service department. Now I want to explain to people why we're doing this. Is it? What
was that u r L? Again? Was it easylock dot Com? No? Easy, easy knock can't. Okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, that's what it was. See I think you wrote that down wrong for me. Oh no, she didn't. Damn, it's my fault. Never mind, forget it, Kachina, I'm trying to blame somebody. Easy knock okay, and easy knock. Basically, they claimed you could get the equity out of your home without selling it and what else? Oh you thought, and we're selling your house, but you could keep it. It's it was a
weird come on, So what what is it? It's actually a sale lease of your own home. Isn't it a dollar? What did you find out? Yeah, it's a They have two programs, but it is kind of a sale and lease back. They call it sell and say it's good for up to five years. You can be within the program. Hold on, hold on, you sell your house to this company? Yes, and then what and then you can get seventy five percent of your equity house of the house. Okay? Then what? And then easy knock, will pay maintenance,
they pay homeowners insurance. In other words, they take over the house and you make one monthly payment to them. Yes, like you're renting it or releasing it. Yeah, and then what how do you get your house back? They have a program where you can buy it back. I think this program is designing Now, wait a minute, wait a minute. When you sell your house, you only get seventy five percent of the equity. Yes, so you're literally selling your house for seventy five percent, not of
the value, but seventy five percent of the equity. Will you sell the house, they'll do the appraisal, they'll pay for an appraisal. Okay, so no, So let's say, let's just make it an easy number. You sell your house for one hundred thousand dollars to them, and they only give you and let's say you owe twenty five thousand, so you have seventy five inequity and you only get seventy five percent of that. That's the way I understand it. Yeah, well that's okay, Then what and then you
can continue on that program? I believe what it's really designed for people that have maybe a little lower credit scores. They're having problems. No, I get it, then you rent it back cash. Then you rent it back. How do you get your house back? I'd have to look that up a little bit more, but you can. I mean, I think that's the main question I had. I mean, basically, you're getting a seventy five percent loan to value, except you're not. You're not even getting a
seventy five percent loan to value. What you're getting is you're getting seventy five percent of your equity to live in your house, and you have to pay rent and then they take care of all of it like a landlord. I get that part of it. Okay, Now what Now, there's a lot of value in that home. So would he come on the air and talk to us. It's going to be a friendly call, could you ask him? Absolutely? Yeah, all right, let's try to get more information.
Again, if anyone else knows about this, let us know. Dollar. I didn't mean to jump on your case. What I meant was I really want to know the downsides to this. I mean, you know, I don't want people trying to snag you know, the money that is not going to do him any good. So if I do the math right, let's just take how much is your house worth ted, Probably three hundred and fifty thousand, and what do you owe on it? Probably two hundred and fifty
thousand. Wait, somewhere in there, you owe every dime of you you don't have anything? Well I don't have I don't have much, probably like sixty thousand inequality well you know, okay, So so basically that's where I was. I got confused because I was like, this doesn't sound right. No, no, no, no. If you have sixty thousand so much, let's hold on a second. Man, if your house is worth three fifty, you're saying that you owe about two seventy to eighty two fifty.
Okay, you let's say you owe two to fifty, so we minus two fifty. Now you have one hundred thousand inequity times, so you get seventy five grand. But then they own your home, so they bought your home. That's what I couldn't figure out. Well, they bought your home house for seventy five thousand dollars, you know that's that would be crazy. Well, now they're going to pay off their they're going to pay off the loan.
So if you owe two fifty plus seventy five. They're going to be buying your house for three twenty five and you say it's worth about three fifty, so they're getting a discount going in. I see that right, right right, And if you don't pay any commissions or anything. Okay, it's it's kind of equivalent truly to selling it for three fifty. It kind of is dollar. You can see this right? Oh? Absolutely, yeah, So now so it is equivalent in this case to a sale. And now
you own the house, now they own the house. You have some cash, just like if you sold it probably at market value, who the hell knows. Then then you pay a monthly payment. But what I want to know is then what then what so so dollar? Ask him, Idy'll explain the program and we have a wide, a wide listenership. If they won't, then there's a problem. If they don't have anyone that will come on
and explain it, then it's a scam. That's my opinion. Hold on three oh three seven one three talks seven one three eight two five five Go with a sure thing Denver's Best Roofer Excel roofing dot com. Hi Tom Martino, your troubleshooter three O three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five five. So this easy lock has me intrigued as hell easy knock. I'm sorry, Damn, I keep saying lock, easy knock. It has me intrigued. I want to I want
to explore it. Folks. Do you know in California they're doing loans not loans, they're buying part of your yard or lot so they can put mini houses on it. Have you heard about that one? And that'll be coming to Colorado soon because we know as California goes, so do so do the laws of Colorado. Now, Polis did sign something. It's pretty cool. It's the neuro Privacy Act. Had to have you heard about it? Neuroprivacy
law. He signed it, you know, I often criticize both sides, but I criticize Polist a lot because he's our governor right now, and I like this law. It basically establishes privacy laws for neurotransmitted information. Do you don't know what I'm talking about? Your thoughts, your reactions, your body temperature, your pulse rate, your sexual arousal, your eyesight. I'm not kidding. By the way, now more and more watches, smart watches,
they're recording our health data. Do you know there are no laws to cover that? Now? There are hippo laws for doctors, deputy doc there are plenty of hippo laws, but do you know for the data itself there are no hippo laws. I'm talking about if you give those that data to a doctor, that doctor can't share it. But if you give it to your watch, there are no hippo laws for watches. Correct, there are no hippo laws for guess what Elon Musk's neuro implants. I mean, he's working
on implans for all kinds of reasons. Now here's the deal. That information in Colorado now is protected. I think that's pretty cool, but that should be a federal law, for God's sakes. There will be a time when we're going to have implants. We will. There is no doubt in my mind, there will be a chip for a credit, for voter identification, for anything that you can think of, there will be there be chips. Now, you and I might think, hell, no, you know,
or mark of the beast or whatever, because we're holdovers. But the new people, hell, they'll do it, you know, like like this law with TikTok right saying you got to divest, bite dance, bite me, bite dance. You got to you gotta divest over the next nine months or we're gonna we're gonna ban it. Well, listen to this one. Listen to this one. There are kids, all kinds of young people, kids, well, young adults. They're all protesting this, saying, oh,
we love TikTok. TikTok's wonderful. They don't have a clue. Now I don't either, by the way, But they don't have a clue if TikTok is spying on them or us or anything. Neither do I. They don't have a clue. But why do they love it? For one reason? Only selfishness? Now I'm not saying, by the way, it's bad Okay, I don't. I don't really know enough about it. I don't know if TikTok is spying on us. I truly don't know that. But I do know that these kids don't know it either, So I don't even know
if Congress knows it. Doc what every time you go on the computer, there's spying on you, whether it's TikTok or Facebook or no. You're right, they're not the only ones. But they're saying they're spying for the Chinese government. So here's the deal. What I'm getting at is everyone is out for themselves. I don't care how you look at it. The world has not changed unless your mother Cabrini or mother Teresa that you are out for yourself. You're out for yourself. Who isn't. Now? Obviously we all do
our own little charitable works here and there. We do, okay, and that's wonderful. We have a lot of kind people. But bottom line is we look out for ourselves and our family. We do. Now, I want to look more into this easy knock. Also, Kim has a problem with perfect teeth, and then we have this mile high Honda thing. Really kisses me off when I look at this uh, I look at this contract that Heather signed. Now, she sent me the contract. It was hard

I said, okay, but this is business. I don't know why people mix friendship with business. But here's
the contrast. The home Franks listed multiple multiple showings and offers. All right, we were talking about a topic about retirement off the air and I got this inquiry. So, Kachina, when you get a chance, I'd like to get one of the men from Retirement Planning

Now, Kim has an issue with Perfect Teeth. What is now? For those who listen. For those listening, I should say Perfect Teeth is not a dentist. Perfect Teeth is a marketing organization that goes out to independent dental offices and enrolls these people
into the program. I'm not sure how they're compensated, but it's a marketing program. So these independent dentists carry the banner Perfect Teeth, and they're all independently owned and operated. So go ahead, what's going on? I just wanted to say that because she's probably having an issue with a dentist with the Perfect Teeth banner. Maybe, but let's talk what's going on? Kim? Hello, Kim? All right, shouldn't hear wrong? Yes, Kim Guy
go ahead, what's going on? And you're right about. The office I go to is the one on Eisenhower in Loveland, Colorado. And I don't really know if there's actually a dentist there anymore, because that's part of the problem, because I went in October of twenty Well, I'm pretty certain they're going to have a dentist there. I mean, I don't know who's I don't know who the actual dentist is anymore, because that's the last thing that I ran into. So what's the problem. Let's get to the problem.
When did this problem occur? Uh October of twenty twenty three, and what happened. I went for a in exam and I have upper dentures already, and I had teeth that were bothering me on the bottom. And I saw the dentist. He said, Okay, we can remove most of your teeth and then leave three teeth and you could have dentiers on the bottom, and so they would anchor to those three teeth. They would use those as anchors. Yes, but they also those three remaining teeth would need root canals.
Okay, So anyway, so he scheduled me for their oral surgeon. That was going to be in the office and they actually had an appointment for the next day to have the extractions done, and that was with doctor Hardy. So I went in. It wasn't pleasant, but you know, it was well nothing, no, it never is, so that what what happened. Yah. So he wasn't really nice. I mean he was like really rough with me, and but I was like, I got to get this done. I'm just I don't care, you know. So he pulled the teeth,
dut that done. As I was leaving, they said, okay, you'll come back on November the sixth and get impressions made. So I went back on November the sixth, had the impressions made. I saw doctor Muirs again and as I was leaving, I said, oh, how long will this take, you know, until I get my genters and she was like, oh, well, it won't be long. And I said, did
my insurance approve it? And she said yes, we got approval for upper and lower genters because my upper denters were had been broken and they had been repaired and they were like on borrow time. Okay, So they got approval for upper and lower. So everything seemed, you know, like okay, I'm moving along. And then they said they would call me when my denters were in. Yeah, so where are we going with this? Like real quick here, what is the problem. The problem is is I don't have
any dentures. I called back over and over and over. Wait a minute, so why you have extractions? You have the root canals, you're waiting. Why don't you have dentures? Because I get a bunch of different answers. One time it was, well, we can't call the lab because the lab is the electricity is off. It's a lab. Yeah, but m after all this time, if you called today, what would they tell you. Well, the last thing they told me was that they have a new
dentist and they have to get approval again. And that was okay. Did they pay? Did you pay them anything? I didn't pay them for the dentures. I paid them for the extractions and the visit. Okay, that's fine. Then if you haven't paid anything, you know what I would do at this point, I would cut bait. I'd leave go somewhere else. For God's sakes, Why would you continue with the place. What's that? My insurance ended on March of this year, So what is that insurance.
Well, I don't have any money to pay for dentures now, so they strung me along for six months and now I don't have insurance, so I'm like still without But they didn't get paid from your insurance, right, No, they did not know that, I can tell so right now, here's the problem. If you're going to try to hold them responsible for the cost of dentures because they strung you along, unless they did it on purpose, with intent, or through negligence, and to try to prove that is ten
times more expensive than getting your dentures. Kim, that's the truth. That's not necessarily the best news for you, but it's the truth. It really is. You're trying to make the case. I mean, in a perfect world, you would like to make the case that because they strung you along and you no longer have insurance, they should pay for it. Yeah. Yeah, Now I want to ask you something. Why don't you have insurance because I'm over income for Medicaid Now I have Medicaid. Oh crap, I
get for a man. Oh wow, now I understand. So Medicaid was going to pay for it, yes, and they had approved it, dang it. So how much over income? Are you get back? No, I get what you're saying. How much over in come? Are you five? You're literally make five hundred dollars more? And and is that five hundred a year? Yeah? I mean yeah, that's no a month. I
guess I don't know. Actually, now that you asked that, well, because I was going to say, man, if it's oh, listen, listen, this is a This is a case of someone trying to do better in life and getting penalized for it. That's what That's what you're doing. Did you get a better job, Kim? Or did they just give your razor? Well? I mean, I'm sixty two years old and I'm on I'm on disability. Oh is that the income you're talking about? The discipline?
So is the disability income the one that puts you over? Yes? Oh dang it. Okay, Kim, here's the deal. How much are those dentures going to cost? I don't know about fifteen hundred? I guess I don't even really know. I think it's I don't know. Can you find out? I remember when I got to other dentures, it was, well, you better do it quickly, do you don't, Kim? Do you know once you have all those extractions. If you don't do the dentures, you're going to have a problem, right, I know, that's I
know. I mean, I hurt, my gums are killed. Yeah, yeah, but they're not. Your mouth isn't shifting yet, but it will. I know. So I know. Here's what we have to do. Hold on, I need to get someone on from our dentist, our dental expert. She's really hard to get on. But I want to reschedule this.
Here's why I want to figure out a way. I want to know what these are going to cost approximately, because you might see if you could take these guys to small claims court, then it won't cost you that much to find out if a judge agrees with you on the negligence right or on the breach of contract, call it a breach of contract. And really, I forget it. If you're gonna have to hire an attorney, for forget it, it's never gonna work. That's why I ask how much these are
gonna cost? Kim? Can you get an estimate from anyone on what they will cause? Can you ask the office that you've been talking to say to them, hey, I don't have insurance anymore. I need to know what they're gonna cost. Yeah, ask me if I can get a call back from them. They're always telling me i'll call you back tomorrow. That way, we can't call it because they're going to throw hip in our face.
So if you could or and then also could you, Katschina, could we try to get This is so hard, but I'm sure we can find a time to get her on. Uh doctor Kelly, our dentist, I say, our dentist, sus and me and Mark, Hey, Tom, can I ask a question? Yeah? Okay. So let's say in October Medicaid approved the dentures and they started to make the dentures in October. Isn't she covered with God? You know what you're talking about? Something like this?
What if you were in short and had a car accident and then you went on and didn't have that insurance where they still cover you. Yes, exactly, So okay, let's find out, you know what, that's another thing. Hold on, good idea. I'm not saying it'll work, but let's do this too, Kachina, let's get on Integra insurance. To ask about
that about Medicaid. So I want to get Integra insurance on. I want to book doctor Kelly to find out if she knows about any low cost dentures or knows about dentures and how long she could wait to get him put on, and then what the approximate. Yeah, just some opinions on that. The next one. I also want a retirement planning center of the Rockies. So we got a busy day. I got Brooke White here from Red Rocks,

Okay, Tom Martine, you're troubleshooter three O three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five five. Now I want to talk to UH. I want to get Integra on for Kim and that that that dental problem.
But right now I want to talk to UH Cody because he has a follow up And Cody, do you have this problem you had? I'm trying to find your original call. When did you call in? You're working with Deputy bo what what when was your original call? I called in? I think last Thursday? Okay, gotcha, all right, I'm gonna find it, So go ahead tell me what's going on? Bro? All right? So the Colorado Spartans football team, they're an arena football team that plays at the
Budwiser Event Center in Love Oh Oh. I remember, and you said they're ripping off local hotels and stuff. Correct, at least because they're not paying their bill and they're trashing the rooms. And what did I tell, Deputy
Bow Did you look into this? I'm not sure what we were. I'm looking for the call, and I'm really sorry about this, but I remember the call very well, and I wanted to not only get the word out, but I wanted to contact the ownership of the team to find out what they had to say about it, and then verify the story with some of the hotel people. So, so, what did you find out, Depety Bow? Tom? I found Cody. Yeah, Cody called in lastday, I believe it around one o'clock. Yeah. I talked to Cody a little
bit and he gave me the owner of the Colorado Spartans. His name is Tony Thompson. I called mister Thompson on Friday, and it was ironic. He picked up the phone right away. I told him who I was, and I explained the situation that Cody gave to us about the non payment for the rooms. Yeah, the wood springs in the Candlewood Hotel and he told me, yes, I know about this. I'm going to call the manager of the hotel. I think he was going to talk to the Wood Springs
Suites on Monday. So I asked him if I could follow up. So I called Monday, and now that he knows who I am, he didn't answer the phone. So then I sent an email on Tuesday and just asked him if he could get his side of the story on the non payment. So he did not respond at all, And then on the next day I followed up with another email and just asked mister Thompson if he would just come on air and explain his situation about the non payment to these hotels. And
he's never responded. Okay, So Tony Thompson, the owner of Colorado Spartan's an arena football team, is basically ripping people off. Yes, And what I don't like about it this hotel, these suits, the Woodsprings in the Candlewood. These aren't Marriott's or Shared International hotels. These are mom and pop, small operations. And to take a hit of like up to twenty thousand dollars in non payment, that's just unacceptable. Now, Cody, what was
your what was your part in all of this. Do you do you work at You said you worked at one of them? Yeah, I work at Wood Springs Sweets? Okay? Now, have has he done anything to uh contact them? Tom? I've called him several times and there's been no response, no reply from him. I've sent emails and I know the same as true from Candlewood Sweets and there spend crickets so bo. He did say he was going to contact the Wood Springs manager. Yes. When I called Friday,
I told him what about the other one? What did he say about the other one? He didn't. I just mentioned the Woods. I did mention both Sweet Hotels Sweets, Tom, but I concentrated on the Woods Spring because that's where Cody the college. Cody, are you a manager there? Yes? I am? Okay, Cody. Do you know the manager over at Candlewood? Can we get him on the air? I spoke to her. I don't believe she wants to come on the air, But does she
want to get paid? She absolutely does and has sent many, like she said, many requests to Tony and she's called him again. Would she talk too off the air? I believe she would, and she may be willing to go on air. Well, let's call her off the air. I don't want to pressure her. I want to help her. I don't want to pressure her. But Bo, here's what I'd like to do. Okay, I'd like you to call the other manager as well and verify this and maybe get if she doesn't want to come on the air, get a few
quotes from her on what they did. I will and if the situation isn't resolved, it's such a high number, I think these hotels are going to have to take the Colorado Spartan and Tommy Thompson to court. Well, where are they staying now? With a bad rap like this? For? Where would they go? Again? My understanding is they have been trying different hotels. I think they are currently at the Marriot in Loveland. I wonder if
they're paying. My understanding is they got some kind of a sponsorship deal through them and are able to stay for free. Now that's about two and a half to three weeks old information, so I don't know if that's still correct. Probably gartering that for signage at their In the end, they primarily stay up there because they play at the event center? Right? Is that the is that still called the Budweiser Events Center. It's now called the Blue Arena.
The Blue Arena, okay, but it used to be the Budweiser Events up there. Correct, it was the Budwiser event her the ranch, now the now the Blue Arena. Okay, Okay, let's let's do that. Call them and uh, and I will let you know what we find. We're not going to let up on the pressure. So I'll call the manager of the Candle with Suites and just verify this large amount and see if I can get her on you. Thanks, and I'll get her statement, all
right, thank you. Now I'm want to go to John Jones Integra Insurance Group with a very John Jones Junior with a very simple question here, Hey John him, So, if I ever had surgery and uh, the surgery was approved and I had the surgery, and then I dropped the insurance later on, they're still going to continue paying for that bill. If I get in a car accident, and let's say I had an insurance company and uh, and then I switch insurance companies, that past accident is still a response
ability of the old insurance company. So I want to know what happens here. Kim was legitimately on Medicaid and they approved her for dentures. Okay, the people ordered the dentures and started making them. Meanwhile, her income increased and put her over the limit for Medicaid. Now, will Medicaid still pay for those because they were ordered under Medicaid or are they going to say you no longer qualify. That's a tricky question, isn't it. No, it
is a tricky question, and I would think that. Well, So in the span of the dentures being made, Kim, how how long was it, Kim from being you were examined and then they didn't make them? How long was it? The day they told me I was approved? Was obray twenty twenty three. I had the extractions on ten four, twenty three, but I actually talked to the office and made sure. I was like, yeah, I am I approved for my dentures, And I said yes,
upper and lower. So you were approved in October of twenty twenty three. Yes, but she's on Medicaid now, she's no longer so on Medicaid then, and my Medicaid ended ten I mean three point thirty one, twenty twenty four before you could have the dentists put in No, she didn't have them put in. She didn't. They're still not done. These people have been delaying. But now she doesn't have Medicaid. Will Medicaid retroactively pay for those
She's not on Medicaid anymore. So, that's right. It's a little bit different of a circumstance and what you know, how you let into it as far as like if you have a surgery, you had it. No, No, I get that, No, I get that. But she had the impressions made, she had the extractions, and they're still in process of making the dentures. Has she spoken with Medicaid? Have you spoken with Medicaid, ma'am? No, she just assumed, she assumed because Medicaid ended,
this claim is not going to be paid. Now. They did pay for the extractions, right, because they were done back in October. But now as part of that same visit, they started making dentures presumably. Okay, so we don't know that the dentists have been made. It's just great. No, what do you think, oh one of those? Can you? Is there a way for here you to find out? John? I mean, well she doesn't. Now you're saying she can just call and ask the
same question. I understand that. I thought maybe you ran into this before. No again, three seven one three, Let's put that on hold there, Let's just go on, and here's what we're gonna have to do, Kim. You're gonna have to call Social Services and explain Medicaid and explain it to see if they will cover it. I mean, if not, we're still going to get our dentist on to figure out what it would cost. And I want you to ask them what it would cost. Maybe they'll give
you a discount if you're paying directly. I don't know, but okay, I need to call Perfect Teeth and find out how much. Here's what you ask him. Here's what you ask him or tell them. You tell them that, since this has taken so long, you're no longer on Medicaid, what will it cost you if you paid directly? Okay? Then the second question is to Medicaid. Would they pay for these retroactively because you did when you did qualify for them, you were on Medicaid, And just tell them
they're in the process of making them. Just say that, I mean, because they are no matter what, they're in the process. So call us back. I'm going to mark this pending and we'll figure it out. Hi Tom Martino here, Redrocksars dot com us. I want to talk to Brook about something.
And we do a lot of talking about battery backup, So somebody wants to know battery backups? Are they four mainly when you don't have sun? Or are they for other reasons? Now, the way I understood it, you when you're getting the bulk of your son, you store what you don't need or what you're not using for times when you can't meet full demand. I mean, how does it What is the normal use of batteries? Some people say they're for emergencies. Others say it's for evening out the flow or
the usage. What is it for? What are batteries actually for. Yeah, so usually people get batteries just to make sure if the grid ever goes down, that they still have power. So more of your emergency situation. But let's say this, during the day, you're generating a lot, and at night you're not. What happens, you don't use your battery, you go back to the regular grid. Yeah, that's usually how it goes. The difference is, though, is that the batteries, in order to maintain
their health, need to discharge every day. So usually they are charging up to one hundred percent and then they discharge down to maybe eighty sixty forty just depends on which specific battery you use. So some folks have that discharge scheduled when they can make the most money from the grid because like for instance, Excel from one to seven, you have double or triple rates right for time
of use pricing. So if you automatically set your battery to discharge from say three to seven, which is the highest peak time, well yeah, then you're going to make the most money. And then the next morning it charges when they discharge, why can't they discharge into your home instead of you paying those rates? They do discharge into your home, but then the excess goes
to the grid. Is that what you're talking about exactly? Okay, So, because it's logical to me if you if you're generating you and meeting all of your electrical needs during the day, then come five or six or seven, while you're still being charged higher rates you do use your batteries. Yeah, you can set it up that way one hundred percent. Well, isn't that okay? Wouldn't that be logical though? Wouldn't you want to set it
up that way so you're not using the grid at its highest peak? Yeah, that's what I always set up for my clients, and I recommend to them. It just depends on the software on the battery that they have too, because some softwares, not all batteries are created equal, so it just depends on what they have installed. So then when you do set up a battery system, and you said when the grid goes down, how long could
it powerhouse? I mean, it depends on how many batteries, But mainly, what do you do do you set it up to get you through a day of no sun Yeah, So what I recommend is always doing. We recommend two batteries minimum for a whole home because if you do anything less than that, you have to have critical loads, meaning it's like right right right, Yeah, you have to relay what you want to keep on exact. So with no solar, with no sunlight, the batteries would be designed to
keep the house going for the day. Yeah, between twenty four and seventy two hours, again based on the usage of the home. But that's like you said, complete blackout conditions. What does that add to the cost. It depends. So if they do a Tesla power of all three and there with an Excel territory, usually it's about twenty five hundred out of pocket on
the project altogether. Okay, So we have some other questions coming up and we'll talk about that three ZHO three seven to one three talk Like we have Rpcenter dot com on about a retirement question that came up off the air. And then we also have a question Mike, what is your question on solar? Mike, Yes, sir, what's your question on solar? So I have a house in Windsor that I purchased in September last year. It's got The entire south side of my home is full of solar panels systems. Great,
it's done through I think it's called in phase. I have not paid for electricity since I've lived here. Basically, it's I get rebate checks that very every month from Excel. Wow. But I'm curious if there were hail damage on the rest of the home, and those solar panels, you know, cover up a good chunk of the home. How much of a pain is it to replace a roof when you have a pretty expansive area and here you have red rocks, roof and solar so that's what they're set up for.
What do you do? Yeah? Absolutely So if the solar system is covering the whole south part of the roof, but the north part of the roof is exposed and hail damage occurs there, that's your question, right, Yeah, pretty much? Yeah, yeah, So the we can't replace just half a roof, you have to do the whole thing at once, and there's a variety of reasons why. So what we do is we would work with your homeowner's insurance file the claim. The homeowner's insurance pays for the solar
system get taken off of your roof. Then we put the new roof back on, and then you usually wait about two to three weeks to reinstall the solar to allow the roof to kind of like the adhesive and everything to kind of settle, and then you're back up and running. Depending on your insurance policy, different policies will actually pay for the month that your solar system is taken off and not producing power, so it'll actually reimburse you for your electric
bill that you pay. Then it just depends on once your policy is so you just need to make sure that the solar system is on your homewner's policy and verify if they pay for the electric bill WI your solar system is awest roof replacement. provide a retirement plan for employees. Is that right our PCE Center Retirement Planning Center of the Rockies, Gary, Well, they are required to do certain things as it relates to health insurance. And that's anytime you've got more than five employees or five or more. The rule about the having to have a retirement plan. I think the number is much higher than that, Tom,
I would really need to look at that. Could we could we come after come back to you after the top of the hour here and get some kind of a direction well, we're after the top VR, aren't right now? Who you don't
have? Run anxious as a cam? Shooter's gonna help? Come man, this is the Troubleshooter Show. Now, Tom Martine, Tom Martino here, Welcome to the show. Three three seven one three talk three or three seven one three eight two five five. I'm going to go right to Gary Hanson with Retirement Planning Center of the Rockies. Somebody had called me. We talked off the air, and they said, Tom, we heard we have to uh supply retirement plans to our employees under what circumstances? I'm not sure blah
blah blah. So we asked, I'm asking Gary to look into it. Uh, Gary, what did you find out? So tom My first instinct was correct. An employer does not have to offer a four one K plan, however, if they choose to do so. Depending on the plan they implement, and there are several different types of four one K plans, there are certain rules that have to be followed should they choose to implement a four
one K, but they don't have to implement it, nope. In fact, only the note I saw here said sixty per cent of the employers in the US is all that even offer for one K plans? At this point? Then what about if you want to offer a plan for yourself, then you would have to offer it too as an owner. Then you do have to solo for a one K, a simple for a one K. You could also do a save farmer for a one K and some of those plans you mean just for yourself or would you have to would you have to offer
to you? Oh? You would you if it was just for yourself, you would go pick the best one that would fit you based on of course, most people that are trying to offer them a compensation plan that just covers them, they're going to do that because they want to compensate and put as much money aside as they can, and that will still give you a good amount of money you can put away. I don't know what the limits are because those numbers change all the time, but it's something we can certainly.
But No, but Gary, the question I have in addition to what you just answered, thank you for all of that. So if an owner owns a company like this person called me, if they wanted to do a four oh one K for themselves, would they do they have to also offer it then to employees? Your question is too broad, Tom, depends on the plan they choose, and okay, yes, some of them do not. Okay, So there are some four o one ks and own can do for
themselves without offering it to everyone. Yeah, there are solo for one K. Okay. Then of course the simple four oh one K is a different type plan. Okay, No, No, I get it, I get it. Okay that so I did? I did hear you? Then okay, so then what is a four to oh three B that's you is the offered three municipality and it's the same as a four one K that's like your
cities. Your your municipalities will offer four A three B plans and then four fifty seven plans will sometimes be offered through those same municipalities in the school districts. There's just all kinds of internal revenue tax called plans are available depending on the type of business you're working for, whether it's an owned business or a not for profit business. There's lots of different avenues under the four oh one
K regulations and different plan numbers. All right, well, thank you ourpcenter dot com. Of course you guys will always answer these questions nine seven zero sixty six three thirty two eleven. I appreciate it, Gary, thank you. All right, now let's move on. We have Heather. Heather, listen, I'm sorry for the wait. I looked over your contract and I want to just basically talk about the contract you signed for twenty twenty four Honda Civic at Mile High Honda. The trade was not a screw job. The
trade's okay. You owed money, they gave you basically what you owed and a little extra on top of it. There's nothing wrong there. That was a wash basically. Okay, So the good news, you didn't get screwed on the trade. And I was hoping I was hoping that was the case. Now, okay, the problem I see is all the extras. My god, did they hit you with every extra they could find? And it amounts to what ten or eleven thousand whatever? And you were told you could
not remove any of those when you went back. Now, which ones? Because you can remove any one of them absolutely positively, get them taken off your loan or get them credited back. You're not required. There's no such thing as no cancelation. So what specifically, and who told you at my high Honda that you could not cancel some of this stuff? And what was
it you couldn't cancel? It was a different finance guy and his name was Reuben herrera U and he said that I could not cancel the windshield the glass because I tried saying, you know, I have that with my car insurance and no, no, no, you can cancel it. He's a liar, Yeah, he was, all right, what else? Did you cancel everything else? It didn't look like the gap was. You don't need the gas, right, not from them. You get the gap from your own.
Everything that they offer, you can get cheaper elsewhere, including if you don't ever get credit life and disability, just get a normal life insurance or a normal disability and policy. Way better. But you don't need any of this stuff. Now, if you agreed to something that they already did, like the mop and glow, that's different. You know, the fabric and all that crap you don't need if they already did it, there's not much you can do about it. But all the other stuff you can have removed.
So, oh, what was not removed that you wanted? Remove the glass and those two things? What about this other crap you paid for? You paid for maintenance plans and you paid for Oh well, what about all those expensive Did you get those removed? Supposedly they deleted all that, but I did not get any new paperwork. And he said that my payments were staying the same. Well, no, they would stay the same, but you'd owe less. But you got to check Heather and call us back.
Please check with your lender to make sure. You want to make sure your ballance was reduced. This guy might be lying to you. I don't like what I'm hearing. You got to you tell him you want some kind of indication that this stuff was canceled and that you talked to me. And I told him that I personally have had these windshield things removed for other customers. And he's not telling you the truth. And we're going to talk about it on the air. Just just listen, fight fire with fire. I am
tired of these people beating up people. I appreciate you, and you know they get you in the door. They said thirty one thousand, and then they put the trim on the bra Oh my god, it's no, no, no, you're right. That's what they do. They do. They remember the expression I use. They pack the deal. Right. So let's take this one step at a time. Check with your lender and say here's what you say with your lender. Add up all that stuff and say to
your lender, I canceled supposedly nine thousand dollars worth of stud whatever. You canceled six thousand whatever that I'm talking about the stuff they actually agreed to cancel. Now, they said I would be getting a credit on my loan balance. I want to know if that happened. Now, then I want you to call this Herrera guy or whoever or his boss and say, look, I went in there to have some of this stuff taken off, and I need verification it was taken off because my lender says, I don't have it
taken off, and I this is dirty dealing. I also want the windshield crap remove coverage. Okay, do you know in that windshield coverage you read it closely, which you probably didn't, and it's not on your contract. Do you know that they tell you you can get a new windshield for so much per windshield? Right? Right? Well? Or did they tell you about the deductible? Did they even tell you about the deductible? No? And and here's another thing. They didn't tell you that when you reach five
thousand dollars in windshields, you have no more coverage. They of course they didn't. So call me back. Okay, I got your information here, I wrote it down and tell that f and I so call your lender. Then call the FNI guy back or the general manager, and just call us back and let us know if they're still going to hold to their guns for this, because this is right now. The worst abuse in cars right now
are all these packed things they pack on your deal. It's just an effort to make more profit, which there's nothing wrong with if any of this stuff was worth a crap, But none of it is worth a crap, none of it. Hi Tom Martino here three O three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five five Kenny? What's going on with you? Kenny? How can we help you? Hey? Tom? This is about c SL plasma one hundred and twentieth and Washington, and now tell me about it. What's what
is about CSL plasma? All right? Man? So I'm going there to donate plasma to get money office. Oh, I get it. Okay, I see what you're saying. Yeah, I got it. Hi, Man. I go through the whole orientation flying colors. Everything is great, and you do a lot of testing, a lot of questions, some strange questions, but you don't by the way, what do they pay what do they pay for? What do they pay for plasta? Well about your first donation
fifty to seventy dollars. You'll be in there for about four and a half to five hours during orientation, saying that the person that makes fun. Then what do they pay after that? Like, once you go through this, what do they pay you fifty bucks per donation? And how much do they take a leader? I never actually looked at the bag, Tom. Well, okay, so how often are you allowed to do it? I'm just curious for those listening every two days. Wait a minute, Wait a minute.
You mean someone can go in every two days and make fifty bucks two to three days. I'm pretty sure it's two, but it might be three. But that is correct. You can make fifty bucks by donating plasma. That is right. So wait a minute. Okay, hold on because now now wait a minute. See here's the problem. Now, I got now, I got Dragon walking out right now. He doesn't want to work anymore. That's the problem. So see, so Dragon, do you know actually
you can only make seven hundred and fifty bucks in a month. You think that's more or less than what I make? Here? Hey, listen, if Brownie has anything to say for it, you can like minimum wage. C CFL says four fifty, bio labs and uh lovel and says seven fifty. So the dig i'm csl anyway, go ahead. So so what's the problem now, sir? What's going on? All right? Man? Right to the chase. Everything goes fine. I have my medicine bottles with me so they can do what I'm on. I go now, I don't get
what you mean your medicine bottles? What are you talking about? I physically brought into bottles so they can put in a computer for they know what I'm under. Okay, I gotcha, right, all right, I get She gets to it. So in other words, if you're on any drugs, they kind of look askance at that. No, no, that's perfectly fine. You know what if you're on do they ask about illegal drugs? Yes,
they did, and that's a that's a whole different interview. And answer is no. Okay, so forget it, dragon, you won't be able to go Okay, keep going, man, So you go in there. She gets to a drug called She asked me what they right drugs are for? You know, you know, diabetes, blood pressure, nothing unusual for sixty four year old American male, right, nothing unusual. She gets to a dema A demon is for swelling E D E M A. I know, yeah, all right, okay, So she goes to ask me where
the swelling is. This is towres the end of the whole thing. It's from my foot, my ankle to my knee, which after taking the drugs for a week, ten days, the problem went away. Stay on. The medication is prescribed to me, no problems, right, I guess it's because of excess water built up her system. I understanding it also has a little bit to do doc right with his diabetes, right, yeah, and also it could be, you know, something to do with this circulation as
well. Yeah, it's not a good thing, by the way, but go ahead. No, but I have it, you know, taking I have it under control, all right, man. So she turns around and she goes, because she goes to lead the room. I said, where are you going? She goes, well, I'm trying to find out if we can do this. I said, what do you mean, it's just a game changer? She goes. It might be she comes back and she
goes, because you didn't know this is a blood print. Tom. When she left her room, I was smart enough to turn on my voice recorder on my phone. I already know what's going to happen. Said what did she say? She said, because it was a you did not know it was also used as a blood pressure and what you used it for. I'm going to just qualify you from giving flash pat. What is the drug sir? What is the drug? Edema? E D E M. A wait that's the name. Name is the condition? No? No, no,
yes, yes, kay, yeah, you're absolutely right. I put that dog on things down, and oh, here it is. It's a big name, Tom. What is it? I want to hear it. Hydrochlorozine H Y D R O C H L O R O T H I A Z I D E. You got a twelve point five milligram camps blue. Okay, all right? And so then what because I didn't know what it was for? Yeah, blue flutes happened twelve point five milligram because I did not know what it was used for. I was just qualified. And they
said, let me get this straight. You're disqualifying for what if treating physician prescribe me. You think you're smarter than a treating position. She doesn't got no credentials, no tags. Well listen, man, hold on. That drug does not disqualify anyone anyway. So I don't even understand what difference it makes. Yeah, I got it recorded. Well, I don't care if you haven't recorded all. I just don't know why that would disqualify you to
begin with. Well, it doesn't matter if he's disqualified, No harm, no foul. It's used for high blood pressure, it's lee used for fluid retention, so it's it's a diuretic. And if so what they're saying is this. They don't know why you're taking it, but they don't. They won't let you donate blood with high blood pressure? Is that right or wrong? My blood pressures? I'm under most three different blood pressure pills, and
they mind those other pills. It was just this one. Yeah, correct, Because I didn't know, I said, you know what, but doc, Doc, here's what I think. Doc. They're doing an abundance of caution and they're just here's what they're looking at. They're looking at the totality of this guy, and they have a right to make up their own standards. It doesn't matter if they say he's disqualified, right because he has blonde hair, they have the right to do that. Well, not so much
blonde hair. But I can't wait. I know what you're saying, so so listen, man. If you're complaining because they turned you down, Kenny, I mean, they do have a right to do that. You don't tell him you're absolutely right. I'm not going to argue that point. But when you sit there and suggest because I didn't know it's for a diuretic or a blood pressure, I'm swelling. That's why you're there, Kenny. I just think you're hanging up, Kenny. I think you're hanging on a phrase.
I don't. What I think they meant was this is that even though you're taking it for a edema and maybe a DEMA, doesn't disqualify you taken into its totality with what else dos for and all your other drugs, they don't feel comfortable taking blood from you. I mean, I don't think they're looking for reasons to disqualify you. I don't. I mean, what are you kind of are you taking this personally or something because you feel that because
you did not have knowledge, that's why they're turning you down. Of course it's not doctor what she said. Okay, well she said it, but she didn't word it properly, Kenny. She what she meant was it's used for more than just a DEMA, and because of that, they can't use you. And say because you didn't know that. I understand what you're saying, But what difference does it make? What she says? Who cares?
I mean, what I'm getting at is it's pretty clear if you look at their terms and condition that there are certain drugs in certain conditions they will not take. It doesn't matter what she says on your website for prisons that don't waste four and a half five No, no, that would tiss me off to I get you, bro, I get you. You're right, they should have some pre screening questions so you don't waste your damn time. I look at I get you there, I really do. I understand that completely.
But here's the thing. Here's the thing. I don't know what to say other than you're upset because of the reason she gave you. But I am positive that they have a list of drugs and combinations of drugs and if you're on them, you don't donate, period. And you're right. I don't know why. I have no idea why they would not just post it. Why wouldn't they do it? I don't know. I don't know. They have certain things tattooing, reason, tattoo piercing. Obviously, pharmaceuticals are
not legal. These are all things are automatically disqualifications. I mean, but not when I'm prescribing something by a treating position. I said to say, you think you're smarter than that treating position? No, no, no, But there are a lot of things, sir, There are a lot of things prescribed that people wouldn't want your blood. There are a lot of things, you know, opiates are prescribed. What difference does that? It doesn't
matter if it's prescribed. What matters is these people have come up with a set of rules on what they will or will not take with blood. I don't see Listen, Kenny, I don't think. I don't think that we can handle this problem for you. I really don't. Maybe there are other centers that won't care that much. Mike has a comment on that plasma donation. This one. I was upset because he sat there through an orientation and they saw one of his drugs and then said, well, we can't take your blood. He was upset. He thought they were just you know, like upset with him because he didn't understand what the drugs were for. It's just a big mix up. Anyway, go ahead, Mike, Yeah, I want to tell you about
my expense, and then don't give advice to Kennedy or Kenny Kennedy. I truthfully answered, well, I was enrolled with one of the donation places. In the pre screening questions, asked you, is if you any surgery recently? And I answered yes, and they pulled me aside and then they put me on hold and I came back and they said, as a result of that surgery, not only are you banned, but you're banned forever, for
life for any of our facilities on the earth, in the universe. So my advice to Kenny is to lie, lie, lie, and say you don't take any drug. Really might have an arbitrary They seem to have an arbitrary and capricious method of deciding these things, where there's it's totally unscreened, it's it's it's no information, it's it's haphazard, it's whatever they feel like, Hey, Mike, what surgery did you have? I had written a detachment Retten. Why the hell would the wait wait a minute, why would
that disqualify you from donating blood forever and ever? I had no idea because I and for surgeries. I had no blood transfusions. I had Uh. Oh, I know why. I know why. But it's not only because of contamination of blood. They're afraid that you donating blood can cause you problems. Oh I really do believe that. No, no, No, the more I think about that, they be because maybe they think, Doc I
don't know anything about the eye. But isn't it possible that they also want to limit their liability because you know, if let's just say he had an eye problem. And the doctor said, well that was from giving blood. You know what I'm saying. I'm not saying that would happen, But don't you think that that's That's the other side of the coin, Mic. They want to make sure the blood is pure, or as pure as they can get, but they also want to make sure they don't do you any harm.
I would say that has a lot to do with it. Yeah, but Tom, I can't imagine taking blood would have any connection whatsoever with a detatched retina. No, no, no, I'm asking though you. Is it possible that giving blood could put a strain on his system that would hurt his eyes? I don't know. No, I can't imagine it. Okay, Well anyway, Mike, Yeah, lie, lie, Lie, that's my advice. Do you give blood? Now, I'm not going to comment, well you do, and you lie about it, right, Okay,
that's what I'm lying about. I'm just taking the pip. Now. You know what a lot of people do that like For example, Mike, no matter what have you noticed where you go for anything medical? I mean, so if you go to get a massage, if you go to sign up with a new chiropractor, if you go to uh, do hydration bars. They ask everything that has ever happened to you ever, what supplements you take, what drugs you take? What blah blah blah blah blah blah blah,
And it gets to be a pain in the ass. Really, there should be one central depository if you wanted, you know, to give out your information, so you don't have to keep writing this over and over and over because they don't all use the same system. Now, Cody, you called back, what's going on about the Colorado? We're trying to get an interview with this owner? Well, Deputy Ball already talked to him, and I would call that an interview. He refused to talk any further. And then
I asked Deputy Boa, also call the other hotel. What's going on with you? Cody? Yeah, yeah, go ahead, Yeah, Tom. I called the general man. I had Cody come back on the air. I had called the general manager of the Candlewood Suites during the break, talk to her a little bit. She did not want me to give her name out, and she was adamant about coming on the air, So she really
doesn't want to make any official statement. No, but she did acknowledge that the Tony Thompson of the Colorados Spartans did ohe the Candlewood Suites money, but that's all she would go with it, so she did not want to comment any further. So I guess where it stands. We just need to help Cody out at the Wood Springs. Sweet who will help them all? I mean? But yeah, it's still she just didn't want to comment at all about it. But she did acknowledge that they did stay and they do ohe
the hotel money. Okay, I will say they owe them by ten times what they owe us. I wonder why she's so secretive. I got it from them. I don't know if they've already started legal proceedings possibly if that could have anything to do with it. Okay, So I wonder what the endgame is for this, uh Tony Thompson. I honestly, I think he is doing it. I think he's doing it with the belief she's doing everything
in good case and he's to keep happening to him. Instead of him taking, you know, taking responsibility for what is happening, he's trying to find shortcuts out of the situation because he keeps telling people that he makes about one hundred thousand dollars every home game and that it's no problem to pay. But then as soon as he has told us okay, this paycheck should be here. For instance, April first, he said he was supposed to get one
hundred thousand dollars paycheck. I've had almost no contact with him since then because he will not return my calls or emails. I've reached out to every phone number I can find on the Spartan's website. I've reached out to Tony's personal cell phone, and it's almost like at this point, he is avoiding any number he recognizes because he he knows he doesn't have the money to take. Now, I get what, I get what you're saying. So on the
website, is there anything about him on there? Yes, he's listed on the website as the owner. Okay, so bo I would try one more time to call him and tell him that we are literally going to do a story on him. I mean, you know, like big time, and we're going to keep it up, and we just need to know we want him to give us his side. Man. Well, tom Tuesday I did. I sent him and he will not return my calls since he knows my
number. I did send him an email and ask if he would come on the air and discuss his side of the non payment issue, and he's just ignored it. I could certainly try to Now's so we also have a Lisa Rorrich Roich row Rich. Yes, she is, I believe, the CEO, right. And then there's Zach Zach Thompson. Is that his son or brother or what. I truly don't know him at all. I've never met. He's listed as the general manager, right, and I've not had any
dealings, any contact with him whatsoever. I've tried to but no response when I've requested even a meeting with them. Tom, I could call this afternoon reach out for reach out to Zach Thompson. Yeah, we could, but I mean, yeah, just just to make a good faith effort here. But it's kind of sad that, you know, as a small business, they'd be screwing a small business. Just doesn't Yeah, I don't know.

Hi Tom Martino here, we have Red Rocks roof and Solar with us in the studio talking about solar and uh also, I'm
taking your calls. We have another hour to go. Three oh three seven one three talks seven one three eight two five five. By the way, Red Rocks rs dot com is your website, So I wanted to ask about and do you ever see like we were talking about Illinois, they actually give a rebate check not a tax credit, for one third of the system. That is incredible to me. Do you ever see the state here Colorado ever
doing something like that, or do you see incentives? Do you see more incentives in the future for solar because we have such an emphasis on renewable energy and climate change and all of that. Yeah, so that's kind of a lot to deep dive, so I'll kind of take it in steps. So the rebate take ILLINOI does is for renewable energy credits. So they look at the system and they determine how much of like coal, for instance, that
you're replaced with renewable and that's what the check amount is based on. So it's based on the system size. It's not a third of the system then, No, it is about a third of the system, depending obviously on how your installer charges. Okay, right, but as far as how Colorado goes with it, the state of Colorado incentivizes the utility companies to come up with their own rebates. So it just depends on which utility company you have,
but there's definitely rebates just like that available. Wait, we're gonna go over that. They're a rebase right now, cash rebase available. Yeah, just depends on your utility company. Shooter's gonna help. Come man, this is the Troubleshooter Show. Now Tom Martino, Hi, Tom Martino here three O three seven one three talk three O three seven one three eight two five five. For some reason, my headset suck. Oh there it is, okay, there I am my headset start okay. So we're here to help you solve problems, answer questions, taking plans that have red rock roof and solar with us, and we have some updates. So first we're gonna go to Doc Deputy Doc. You have
an update on what I'm John and Becky with their uh ski. Do their uh ski? Do the jet ski? Okay? I gotta figure this one out. How long do they call it? Quite a while ago? Okay? And what was the main okay? So here's the problem. They bought a j ski and they've had multiple problems with it, bring it back and forth beyond it. It was a Kawasaki jeff Ski and so they said it sunk the first day, it took on water. Then there was a recall on it. They said, Kawasaki is offering to buy it back, but
not the extras the trailer, the cover and all the trailer. So they put out twenty six thousand dollars for the whole deal. Kawasaki is offering them twenty four thousand, but they won't pay two thousand for the trailer. So what I told, I said, take the twenty four thousand, see if you can sell the trailer. If you can't sell the trailer, take them to small claims court and make them and I'm sure that you'll get the two thousand dollars back, but they should. I'm hoping though they don't make them
sign some kind of settlement to get that refund. Well, even if they do, you know, twenty four out of twenty six thousand is a reasonable return for what they put up with. Now, I think they should get the extra two thousand, but you know, if no, I get it. So I think if they do that, cash the check and then take up the small claims court because they were actually dealing with Kawasaki directly, so
it's not the dealer. But I think if Kawasaki is drawing the line in the sand, let him draw the line and take up the small claims court. Yeah, that could be one thing to do. So did they indicate they're going to do that. They agreed they're going to do that. All right, Good, Do you have anything else? No, I think Bo's gone. Bo's got something, Deputy Bo was having Bo. No, yeah, Tom. This is a follow up from a call last Wednesday in the first hour. I think Mark was here. Who was it. Her name
is Jane and she had an h u a issue with an awning. Yeah. I remember. She had a patio and it was the patio by the way, just you know, was an outdoor patio and it came with roof. But she said there was water damage on her patio, she closed it, didn't she enclose it or not? Yeah, there was something about some leaks going on. But the crux of the matter is she had this. Oh no, no, no, this is a different one. Never mind, but but yeah, I remember this. She was having leaking at her
patio roof and it needs to be fixed. They won't reinstall her custom awning. They took it off to fix the roof, but won't put it back on right. They wanted the awning removed so they could do some staining and painting. No, I get it, okay, So and they it was her oning, and she actually paid to have the awning removed. But the Club Monaco Homeowners Association would not allow her to reinstall the awning at all. I thought they would allow her, but she had to do it on her
own. Now she was willing to pay for it. Okay, then what so what happened? I did call the HOA and the management company which I believe in Elsie and Property Management. So after making a few calls, Jeane did call me and they took some pictures and they are going to allow her okoyd install the awning, which I think is good. The only thing the HOA is requiring is she gets a contractor, a contractor that knows what they're doing in this and they want it reinforce. So she would like to get
some advice. She lives over on tenth to Monaco on a few contractors that could come over and give her a bid that she could submit to the HOA so she could put her aning back in place. All right, So that's good. So they will let her put it back up. They will let her do it. Now. I wonder why they turned her down at first, you know, Tom, I don't know. It doesn't matter because hey, so now what we have is where's my dinger? Okay, don't say anything. I got it, mister Jean. I hope that was for both
of us, Tom, Yeah, it was for both of you. We got a double dinger for for both. Okay. Now we have a brook with us from red Rox roof and Solar. And if you recall, we had a problem with Solar that we used her as an expert on basically, but it was a while ago. And now the guy did say he was going to come on, and I don't know exactly why he hasn't come on yet. Kitschina, have we been in touch I know that dak Or Deputy
Chopper was working on this with Valor Roofing. Yeah, so they called an emailed and they actually told me when I contacted them that they were working directly with you to try to get on the show. Yeah, well they are, but I mean you have to book it obviously. But here's the situation.
This couple. What did they pay like a lot of money? Right, they paid a lot of money for the system, and they it was through One Solar, it was loy and Alexis and they paid let me just get the details here about fifty six thousand, about fifty that's right, alright, I have had about fifty four whatever it is. And then during the application process, they supposedly did not file the proper supplemental report. Here's the
bottom line. Excel won't let them put the won't activate the system because it's in an area that needs updating on the subsystem on the substation. Now Brooke explained this to me. But by the way, here's the bottom line. I thought that if this was installed by One Solar improperly, or it wasn't put in an area that should take solar, why should they make these people have a system they can't use and they should refund the money and take the
system back. And in fact, the finance company indicated that if they can't use the system, we can't finance it. But here's what I want to know. Are there areas in Colorado that can't take solar systems? What do they mean they could not activate it in this area of Excel? What does that mean? Yeah, so the state of Colorado does it. You can add solar onto the grid as long as it's reasonable for the utility company, meaning that residents can usually add in a system that's ten kilowatts or less,
or twenty five in kilowats or less. Fight you I mean to tell me there's actually limits by law of what you can add because the utility company, especially if they're a co op, they have different rules. So they're responsible for allowing new access to connect to their grid. So their grid has to be able to handle the power that you're sending them. So the state doesn't say, well, the utility company is now required to allow all of this
to happen instantly. It has to be reasonable for the business. So why would Excel not be able to accept electricity from one system in this case? I'm not an Excel engineer, so I don't know why. I've never once been told a substation upgrade is what's required. When I spoke with Excel, she had said that maybe on that connection line there's a hospital or a big solar field or something that's tied to it that's adding so much power that even
this small system in the grand scheme of things, it's adest. I get it. They don't want anything new just on that section to add to the system, so they can't feed back. But they can still have a solar system. They just have to be off grid. But why does that have to be off grid? Why can't they just not do a net met or why can't they just make it so it doesn't feedback? Is there such a
thing? Is one way valve? I mean no, seriously, Why can't they simply have their solar system be hooked to the grid and when they have excess power, it goes to batteries instead of the grid. Yes, they can have that setup, but the difference is they have to make sure it doesn't feed to the grid ever, and if they shut off their connection to the grid manually, which you can do, you have to have a CT or a feedback system to allow the solder to think it's still safe to operate.
So there's a lot of yeah, but here's what I want to know. First, Solar that did the installation, should they have known this? I mean, or they're saying they were blindsided too. No, they're not blindsided. They've I mean, of what I personally know. They've probably installed over five hundred systems with an Excelled territory in the last couple of years. It's a simple step in the application process. Excel has their own permitting process.
They should have found that this was not a go. They were told it wasn't a go. They told a what's called a supplemental engineering report is required. That happens in probably fifteen to twenty percent of your solar applications to Excel, and they one solar. How do you know that because they never submitted We do want the supplemental report, and we're going to pay for it, because you have to pay another two hundred and fifty or three hundred fifty
dollars. If they were told it was needed by Excel in writing and in their portal, and if it was needed, it would have indicated there's something going on one hundred percent, and again with this case, the Public Utility Commissions did an investigation. The state looked at this and said, no one Solar knew that this was an issue. They're not stupid, right, It's
not their first rodeo. They've been through this process o case. So it's safe to say, though that Valor Roofing, who sold this and One Solar did theation, that Valor may not have been aware of this. I mean, that's pretty safe to say because all Valor did was sell it. So when you sell a deal through Valor, and depending on where you're at in management, then you see what steps the project are on. So they would
be able to review those projects well most of the time. And I'm not trying to give them a pass, but what I'm saying is if there's a culprit here, it's mostly One Solar. I don't think Valor wanted. I don't think they'd have any incentive to want to sell a system that couldn't be
used. I don't see any upside for that. I mean, in other words, they sold the system, One Solar, took the system to install it and missed a very crucial step the auxiliary port and as a result, here's the bottom line, lloy and Alexis has a system that have a system they can't use. Yeah, there's a few issues that One Solar did during this install. That's just the solar system. You have to remember that the electrical work wasn't permitted either. It wasn't a proof through a permit. They
were on essentially jumper cables for their meter. And now within the next four weeks since my company came in and fixed it, they're going to get a huge electric bill because they were on this like jumper cable situation, and so they weren't getting charged for electric and you're not supposed to allow that to happen.
Well, this is sad. This is very sad. But Valor's only responsibility in this, in my opinion, is that they knew that One Solar has done interesting issues in the no. I understand that because we have on our books alone several complaints about One Solar sure, and so that's the only aspect in my opinion that I feel that they're responsible. Most of this does lie with One Solar because they are what's called the EPC. And again, Kachina, if Valor wants to come on or one Solar. I want them
to come on. Sam. What is your question? Sam? Hey, thanks treaking my call. My question for Brooke is do they come down and install in the Plebbo area? Yeah? Absolutely we do. All right, hold on, we want to know more about your system. But I got to take this. I'm Tom Martinez. Three oh three seven one three talks seven one three eight two five five. By the way, we have a special with Premiere Premiere window Washing. Uh, they're going to do a special.
I was going to try to get them on today, but it's just I can't do it. If they want to do fifteen percent off anyone who calls today and that's Premiere window Washing and pressure Washing or Premiere window cleaning and pressure Washing. I always get that wrong, but just remember Premiere. Okay, they're good people and they do great deals. Fifteen percent off if you call to get your windows done. We clean windows dot co. We clean
windows dot co. And it's three oh three five six four, five five seven four fifteen percent off five six four five five seven four Go with a sure thing Denver's best roofer Excel Roofing dot com. Right, but if you hi Tom Martine here three oh three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five five Okay, Paul, No, no, Sam, Sorry Sam, Sam, you have a question on solar and then we go to Paul Sam. What was Let's finish up with your questions,
So go ahead, sir. What do you have going on? Well, I don't have I don't have a solar system currently, and I was just okay, curious if you know what they if they if red Rocks would install in Public County, And yes, we want to know what kind of system? What do you need? Well, I'd like to do a ground based solar panel rather than mant it on the roof. Yeah, that's not a problem. We would look at where you're at and what setbacks are in your
specific tie to your specific address and property. I'm assuming you have Black Hill's energy Yes, yeah, yeah, not a problem. We work with them all the time, so no worries. Now, why do you want to do the ground one? Well, it's just I have the room, the space okay, and it's wide open, and I just the thought of having to and with as many hailstorms as we get down here, it's like, man, you'd be doing this. No, it's a pain in the ask
Hey, what about this? I want to ask brook this. Do you ever have people with residential systems that overbuild to make a little extra or not? Is that mainly commercial? No, we have residential systems that do so. It just depends again on the utility company. And because you can't, you can't just build as much as you want, right, you got to stay with their limits. Well not just with their limits, but like for
instance, Longmont Utility will pay you retail value for anything you overproduce. Wow, but they're the only company in Colorado that I know of that does that. Mixcel used to run a program years ago that did something similar. That's when your caller said earlier today that he got monthly payments. Yeah, that program used to exist so it just depends on the utility company that you're working with. And so is Black Kills easy to work with? Uh oh uh
no, uh oh do they? But when you say no, well, but they will allow solar systems, right, they can't not allow them. Yeah, they can't not allow them. They're just still trying to organize how to handle the influx of sol that's happened there. So it's a little slow to work with them directly, okay. And what about selling back to them?
They do pay, Yes, they do. And Black Hills is one of the few ones that actually incentivizes folks to go solar with those additional rewards and rebates depending So in addition to his forty percent tax credit from you guys, because you do the extra ten percent because it's local, it could because it's US paraduct. What does Black Hills incentivize? What do they do? Yeah, it's usually based on the system, so like a dollar per what
they can sometimes give back as a rebate. Again, I would need to work with him directly to figure out not getting him Yeah, but absolutely so. If he got a seven kilowatt system, which is the average residential system, that they would give him seven thousand dollars back, so you ought to call him Red Rocks, roof and Solar three zero three seven zero four two four four nine. Okay, So thank you. Now, Paul, you have a question, Go ahead, Paul. What's going on with you?
Well, I just am thinking about putting an en ground swimming pool and I didn't know if anything, you had any referrals or anybody. Man, I you know what I did one years ago, had a great company. They're no longer around, but we do have someone I'm trying to think who. I don't think they're on the referral list, but we had someone that did a great job with pools. I got to think about that. I got
to find out who it was. But they were really good and they came out and did service because they serviced my pool after this other company went out of business, and I really loved them. You know, that's a good that's a good topic. By the way, Paul pooled people. Because I did have someone reliable. I'm gonna look during the break to see if I can find them. Okay, And you want to have it built? And
where do you want to have it built? Castle Rock? Okay, So so hang on and uh I'm going to see if I can find that old recommendation I had three O three seven one three eight two five five. You'll think you're his only customer when you choose Frank durand the real estate man dot com to list your home with Remax Alliance three oh three nine two zero sixteen twenty two. Hi Tom Martino here, Okay, listen Paul on the on the pool thing. I can't find the exact builder, but I do know this, if you call this is a great company. Now they're not on the referral
list, but we've never had a complain about them. And it's called the pullman Ink the poolman, I would call them, since they do renovation of pools. They do like rebuildings. They do covers, they do chemicals, they do maintenance, they do leak detection, they do pumps, so they would probably know some good builders. That's who I would call. Now here's the number. It's three oh three seven eight one four four zero nine. They've been around a long time and they've done work for me, the poolman,
the poolman. So yeah, I wish you the best on that one. Okay, So hold on, we have a comment on Ohkait, we have Tyra, which I want to take now, Tyra, what is your connection to Candlewood Suites. Yes, I am the general manager. Oh hi, how are you listen? I didn't want to make I didn't want to make you uncomfortable because I consider you a victim and we were just trying to get figure out how to get you guys paid. No, you're okay. I just think it'd be okay from the owner to go on air. But
I got the okay because they do it us a pretty hifty amount. They owe us twenty three thousand, three hundred and thirty two dollars. Oh my god, twenty three thousand bucks. What is going on? Did and did they also damage? Did they damage their rooms at all? No, there was no damage. The guys were super respectful. It has nothing okay, the team, It has nothing to do with the CEO, Lisa. Lisa has been nothing but amazing. The team, the coaches were nothing but amazing.
We've just been having problems with the owner Tony, getting payment from him, getting in contact with him, Like the other hotel manager said, We've sent him emails, we've sent him final notices to send him to court. He's promised to call us back on certain days with updates, and we have not heard anything from him. So it's just we cannot get a hold of him nor any payment. And so are you are you the general man, Tyra? I am okay. And the bottom line is the owners were fine.
Everyone else was fine, but it was kind of the uh, the the owner just ignored you. Yes, it's just Tony. Okay. Now what I'd like to know is this this uh Tony, did they pay and then it bounced or what did they do at the end of the stay when they owed you all this? So we had them on a direct feel, a direct feel meaning they make payments, they stay here and make payments.
We have an account set up with them, and we just have not received any payments since they they they came in and the payments were waiting for are for the training camp. So they came end of February to mid March. Okay, and that's what we're waiting for. So we didn't collect a card or anything from him because he got to prove for a direct skill and he has he has ghosted you guys, basically will not talk to you. Yes, basically, he has ghosted us. We got we were able to get
in contact with him last week. I'm not sure the exact date we were able to talk to him, but last week talked to him. He said I should have an update for you Monday, which was this past Monday, two days ago. And we have not heard from him since. We've been sending him emails everything. I send him the statement every Wednesday and he will not respond. Okay. So, and do you know Cody over at the other place? I'm sorry, do you know Cody over at Wood Springs?
We don't know him, but we spoke with him because he did get in contact with us. Okay, So then what about I mean, because he said they're owed money too over there, and so what about other hotels? Do you know how they're where they're staying now when they have to play? I know nothing about them, honestly asked. Okay, the hotel is just kind of I don't know where they are or any All you really know is
that they owe you money. Yes, okay, Tyra, thank you for letting us for confirming that, because we're going to try to get this Thompson guy to pay up. And I appreciate you calling us. Thank you very much, Tomkin of call Zach Thompson this afternoon. I think he's a relative. And there is an agent of service on the State of Colorado website that they good good and proceed with suing them. Yeah. Good, Catherine. What is your comment on State Farm Insurance? Yes, hello, Tom,
it's really nice to be listening to your show. I like how you're helping people, and I just have a cautionary tale to share. I was with a different insurance before, but I was looking to save money and there was an app on the phone that would match you with an insurance that would be the cheapest, and that's how I found out about State Farm and I switched
my company. It was either the end of two thousand and two or the beginning of two thousand and three, and at the end of May this year, I got a letter from them that they will not renew the contracts. Basically, they are dropping me because they said that it doesn't let me see the language exactly how they put it. By the way, that's a blessing that you're being dropped by them. They're a lousy company. Oh you think so, Oh my god, I know so here because okay, State Farm
is one of the top five worst companies you can have. Thank you for telling me. I had no idea. And here are the bad ones. Let me just tell you, Catherine, the bad ones. You have State Farm, all State Farmers, American Family, and Fred Loyer gotcha. And if you want a great company, go to Compass Insurance Group and they represent like twenty six companies. I would go to Compass and ask them to help you find a good company, and they will say then please say that and
again Compass Insurance. Yeah, they're a broker. So here's the difference. When you're with State Farm. State Farm can only sell you a state farm policy. All State can only sell you an all state policy. Farmers can only sell you a farmer's policy. So it's impossible to stay competitive and for you to get the best coverage if they're not allowed to go outside. The company comes represents twenty six different companies. I'd like you to call them.
It's three oh three nine nine six nine thousand. Okay, got it, Thank you very very much. Tell me though, So State Farm said they were not renewing you for what reason? I'm just curious. Yes, So let me just find it because I have that veteran. Was it for excessive claims? They were saying that, I guess this is the the excessive claims. Basically, they are saying that the risk is no longer acceptable to State Farm Fire and Casualty Company due to your lost history. The information that we
obtained from a consumer report prepared by Lexus Nexus Risk Solutions. Okay, so they're saying you had excessive claims? Did you have excessive claims? I don't know what would be the definition of an excessive claim? Well, here here's what it would be. I'm going to tell you, did you have Did you have more than two claims in two years? No? How many have you had over the last five years? Definitely? Three? One of them it was water and that was not built. That was since twenty nineteen,
now eighteen, You've only had how many since eighteen three? I don't know if that would be excessive? Or not, but Compass can tell you that here's the thing, Catherine, don't take it personally. They're looking for excuses, and I would consider it a blessing. Three oh three seven one three eight two five five. Go with a sure thing Denvers Best Roofer Excel Roofing
