This a home rate on? Put her on hold, Put her on hold, just put her on hold. Okay, this is not going to work. Okay, it's just not going to work. I need to ask questions. I need answers. Okay, So here's what you need to ask her off the air. Was it a home rate on test? What does she mean twenty point nine? I can't find that reference? And then get on, get on, let's see rest I would get American restoration. Twenty four to seven is one. I'm trying to think of someone else. Let's get
them on. But I need to know what she wants. So I need to know what she wants right now? Is she trying to get anything right now? So Gina, help me to get started on helping you. What are you asking for today? You're now living in another place, your kids lost some teeth. What do you need right now? Gina? What were you calling about? Well? I was just calling to advocate for people who have Are you there? I think it's just better if we move on.
Okay. I don't know what I did pay for the professional test and they, oh, technician said that the b gammas do soak in? And what did the professional test find? The professional test came back at seventeen point nine rate on Do you know what what is normal? Nine point nine PCI four point zero is where Puleski's law how to cut off? Okay, do me a favorite, Gina? What are you asking for today? Because if you're advocating for people with high rate on scores, this is really not the show
for that. You really need to go. That's not it. It's like, I don't my due diligence according to the law. What do you want, Gina? I need to know how we can help you. What are you asking? Are you trying to get anything from the landlord? What are you looking for? Well, the current landlord, I'm under I really don't want anything from anybody except for the people to know that. You know,
these large corporations like Kanam whoever the management for the nest. There's these huge corporations that like, when I done my due diligence according to Puluski's law, I was literally told by the same the same offices that that that write the law, that literally verbatim, there's nobody to enforce them. So now what what That's what I'm asking? What do you mean enforce enforce? What? What? What? Are you talking about enforcing the state and federal habitual law?
Is like fire doors that need to open the fire chiefs even though we don't. I thought you were calling about raidon. Are you saying basically, let me just see if I can sum this up. Are you saying that that there are a lot of landlords that are doing a poor job for people and no one's enforcing the standards of habitability. I feel like the management companies are taking advantage. They are the fact they are. They are in a
lot of cases. You're absolutely right in some in a lot of case not all, But there are there truly are deficient landlords out there and they're not doing a good job. And I agree with you. It's life risk stuff. Like Mike, we had a full building evacuation last week and I had to stand in the second floor and push and pull. And even though they do a fire inspection today, the fire lieutenant says, we have just as much problem getting them to comply. Okay, So because lives aren't worth the
risk. Okay, this is noted. I know what you're saying, Okay, and I but I just want you to know something, just to allay your fears. I don't know what we can do about deficient landlords. There's a shortage of places right now. Rents are at an all time high. I do agree with you there is a problem. There is a problem. But but and when you say no is enforcing it, you're absolutely right. Very seldom. Oh no, No. They've started some inspections in the Denver
area, I believe, and I thought Boulder had them too. But here's what I want to tell you, in short, just to allay your fears raid on unless they're exposed for a very long time, a very very long time, it doesn't have an immediate health thing that shows up. The kid's teeth aren't going to start falling out. I mean, I just wanted to allay your fears on that. As far as any specific apartment issues, we can help you if you have a problem that is not being fixed. But
what we can do is we can embark. And I'm not saying we can't. We don't have what it takes to embark on a social campaign against landlords or to rally the state legislature to get stricter with landlords. We just were just not set up for that. I'm just being straight with you. Now, If people want to do that, we would give them publicity, we would help them, but in general we're not set up to do a public
campaign against these large corporations that are taking advantage of rights. I just one anybody who's listening, if they have a passion or a fire, to advocate it for what's right, and maybe they should, because now there are some landlords. And thank you for calling, Gina, I hope you take the code people. Thank you for calling means I need them on hold so I can go to a break. And here's what I want to tell you,
Gina, I truly do, seriously agree with you. Okay, there are a lot of renters being taken advantage of, but we need a lawmaker who will take that up. There are a lot of restrictions right now on landlords. I think they're getting more strict I'm not sure. I'm not a landlord anymore. But what I think is is if any government is going to do it, it's going to be the current Colorado government. Because the current Colorado
government is just one step short of socialism. And I believe that Denver and Boulder and the Colorado legislature, they are of a political makeup where someone will try to do something for renters, which, by the way, might be a good thing, but I'm speaking of fact now. You're never going to have a better political climate than now to get things like this done. I'm Tom Martine. Three three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five

Hey, I'm Tom Martine, So listen. If you're streaming this show, that's good because I think we're having some technical difficulties at the transmitter. So if you're listening
over the air. Paul the Waterman's with us too. Paul surmises most people are listening on a smart device or through an app because of today's technology. You know that's probably true. They're even making a proposal to take AM radios out of cars. Did you know that? Did you know that? Well? So, uh, I want it. Like I said, if Gina has a specific problem, we're going to help her. I'll give it to somebody to help with on this landlord issue, we get a lot of people
like Gina who are well meaning and they want to do something. They don't have any things particular, but they're pissed off at just how I don't know, And she's kind of right. Okay, at the risk of sounding like a cry baby, there are truly a lot of big corporations that have been dropping the ball with renters. There really have been. Okay, now, there are some good ones too, But anyway, I don't know what to do about it, other than take one problem at a time. Randy has
an issue with Frank Asar. Now Frank Azar, personal injury attorney, does a lot of advertising. He uses the Moniker strong arm. So what's going on with your issue? I should mention, Yeah, I should mention. He lives down the street from me, right here and from the studio. Go ahead, so he might come knocking onto our if I say something, go ahead and hear me. I can hear you, Yes, Randy,
go ahead, Randy. Okay, I just got my phone charged into my car, and I'm calling you to advocate for myself and because nobody else will help me. Tell me what's going on? Randy. Well, well, well, please bet with me a little bit. I do have some psychological and physical disabilities and I and you're right in line with the rest of my
listeners. Go ahead, trying to find my best Okay. So on August sixteenth, I was a guy ran red light and that totaled my truck out and he had no insurance or bad of police just took some old insurance let him drive off. I felt it was all suspicious, So when I got home, I called Frank Kazar. Now, hold on a second, So did you hold on a sect Randy before you go on? Were you injured? Yes? I was, Okay, go ahead, keep going and so
and so. But see, I didn't see I didn't feel a need to go to the emergency room because I already had a doctor's appointment that day for physical therapy for my lower back, and I was going to address that with And I did address that with my doctor and my physical therapist that day after the accident. So, uh, you know, I thought it was all fishy, like the Arvada police said, hey, uh uh, either of you guys on drugs and this I said, Well, I surely ain't.
I just dropped my kids. Well, hold on, Randy, Randy. Did they ever find the other guy? Oh? Yeah, he was there, his his car was out of commission. He literally put his his his tire back together. Oh okay, I get it. Okay, I I thought that maybe there was that. Okay, so what's going on? Now, what's the problem? And he looked real shady. He didn't didn't even do no drug test, nothing on it. But okay. So so then
so I immediately felt uncomfortable. I went home and called Frank Azar told told them basically what had happened and what my plan was to go to the and go in my physical therapy as plan. And you know, they made all those promises about we're gonna fight for you to the very end, and uh, we're gonna go after Christopher Garcia and Liberty Mutual of them come to find out you don't have insurance, and suddenly it's like, okay, now we're gonna go after Geico. And I was like, because my insurance, and
he's like, yeah, but that's why you paid this extra assurance. Randy, Randy, we got to have We have to have a little little give and take. So let me explain what they meant by that they are correct if the hold on. Just first, Randy, first listen, then you talk, then I listen, then you talk. Okay, here's the first thing. When the other party doesn't have insurance, the only option you have. The only option is to go after either them personally. But usually you
don't do that because they don't have money. So what an attorney we'll try to do is go after your own insurance, but only if you have the right coverage. Before we continue, before we hear any other stories, did
you have uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage? Yes? I did, sir, Okay, keep going, Okay, and so then and I disagree with what you said about that, because this guy has money to go to work every day, buy an apartment, up truck, haf tools, and a civil suit would be very cheap and he could start paying me back for the over thirty thousand that I have. Randy, let me let me respond to that
real quick. I understand you disagree. What I meant was this, if you go after someone personally, an attorney will very seldom take that case unless the other party truly is rich. The attorney will not go after the other party. Okay, go ahead, nderstand that completely. I understand that completely.
But this is what I'm saying is it started off there They're gonna do everything under the sun for me, right, and then it went gradually from oh, wow, we can't do nothing but go after yours or which I understand and to some extent, except it would be very easy for them to guide me, and they said, okay, we can give you that advice. We can League League in some ways helps you go after your own pursuit of mister Garcia. I said, okay, no problem, but they didn't
do that. They kept badgering me, and they've even badgered me with a letter today telling them to never contact them again. I have filed with the State Insurance Regulatory Services. I have filed this with the State Supreme Court and I'm telling you they submitted bills to Geico that weren't itemized, that had nothing to do with my whiplash back in September. They even got a check from Geico and on my behalf. And I wasn't even street or diagnosed with whiplash
until December fourteenth of twenty twenty three. Economic impact is well over thirty thousand dollars. My children and I are suffering horribly. It's not a joke. I'm going to therapy today. I probably have five or seven more treatments and that's probably going to run the whole twenty five thousand dollars. My unincertain motors
or whatever. But this deception, this type of fraud, this type of blatant negligence, And like the government, what do they want me to do, Like take the three dollars and twenty one cent out of my account and go buy stamps and print out copies and and do all this searching. Dembra Health won't even giving my bills, sir, I am telling you what we are in trouble. Hey, Randy, may I ask you a few questions now? Randy, I understand your upset, but we got it. We
have to face some reality, and I want to talk to you. I want to find out if they've done anything wrong. Did just but please now, just answer some questions for me to help me help you. Did you say that frank Asar and associates they actually collect money from your insurance directly? Yes, sir, but they did return that check. Okay, So right now, as it stands, did frank Asar get your brandy? You have to answer my questions. You cannot keep talking. I'm sorry, but I
listen when people say let people talk. I can let you talk. But you're saying the same thing over and over. I understand you were injured and your family is suffering. Now let me try to help you. You're underinsured motorist or you're uninsured motorists? It was for how much total did you have in coverage? From what I can understand, and like I said, from my limited of knowledge and stuff, I believe it's twenty five thousand dollars. That's the number I was hearing. Okay, Now, did frank Asar any
part of that? No? No, so so far they have not charged you anything, Is that right? No? Because no, because I had to fire them. Okay, Okay, I want to tell you something Randy, you're not gonna want to hear under your circumstances with only twenty five thousand dollars worth of uninsured coverage, do you also have medical payments? By the way, of course, I told you I'm disabled, I have Medicare. No, Okay, hold on, I meant did you have medical payments coverage
for your UH car? Probably not? I don't know, Frank Caser, I mean because none of those attorneys have been straight with me, sir. This is what I'm trying. That's right, Okay, Randy. Hold on, Randy, Randy, Please don't go off. Please don't go off when I ask questions. I'm just if you don't know, just say you don't know. Okay, So you don't know what kind of coverage you actually have? Could you give us a copy if you want help, give us a copy of your auto policy. Can you do that. I will give you
my hip of release my auto policy. So please report them anything you want, sir, Randy. Right now, all we need, the only thing we need right now is the declarations page of your auto policy. Okay now, and Kachina will get off the air and tell you where to send that to us. Here's what we're gonna do. All we can do is see what you're covered for. Now, you bring up a good point. If the other party caused you damage, you should be able to collect from them.
But no attorney will do that because they will not go after people like working people. They just won't do it. You're gonna have to do it personally, and you can do it. For example, you could go to small claims court and sue them directly for seventy five hundred dollars max. If you have seventy five hundred dollars in economic damages, you can't do it for pain and suffering. But if you have money that you lost up to seventy five hundred, including your car, you can go after them in small claims
court. You can get a judgment and then you can do what you said, make him make payments to you and whatever. It's not going to be easy, but if you want something to do, we can give you. We can give you some help. The first thing we need to do is see your insurance. But I want to tell you something, Randy, as much as this you don't like hearing this, Frank Asar and I'm no friend of his at all. I don't think I don't know what you know,
whether he's good or bad. I don't think he's that great. But he did their their law firm didn't do anything wrong. They simply did not see any carrot to go after. And that's and that's the problem is your case. I disagree they did see a care to go after. They were literally accepting checked on their behalf without my knowledge. I don't know how you call that fare. You just said they did not keep the money. No, they weren't inviting me to use my guy co insurance to get true health care.
They weren't inviting me legally in any manner whatsoever. So to to say that they're not your friend or something is wrong that of an absolute life. Those guys did not help me whatsoever, and anybody who seeks out from them, Randy, I did not say. I did not say they helped you. Listen, if you're gonna fight me, Randy, just go somewhere else. Okay. What I meant was as a personal injury law firm, they personally had nothing to go after. They want to get a third of whatever
they collect, and you don't have enough to go after. Okay, Whether you agree with me or not, I don't care. Frankly, I don't care. If you want help, we'll give it to you. If all you're gonna do is argue with me about Asar, go somewhere else. See what he wants to do, Kachina. If he wants to send his policy, let him send a copy of his policy. If not, then let him move on and find someone else. I'm sorry. I'm done arguing with
people if they don't want to accept true help. If all you want to do is try to go after Frank Azar, it's not gonna work, Okay. I mean, I know people think, well, maybe you should Tom, No, I shouldn't because there's no case there. We have more coming up. Go with a sure thing Denver's Best roofer Excel Roofing dot com. Hi Tom Martino, your troubleshooter three O three seven one three talk three all three seven one three eight two five five.
Paul the waterman's with us, by the way, don't forget that, Paul. What's the latest and the greatest, by the way, technology to remove nanoplastics out of our water? We all know we have a microes my uh, triple filter reverse osmosis. Do that at the kitchen sink? Yes? So that's there for fourteen hundred bucks. What else do you have? Do you have a whole house one for nanos Well, that's what we're working on, is the whole house solution for nanoplastics. That'll be huge. Yeah.
And that's and because the trick for the whole house is keeping up with the high flow rates. Now, what about bottled water? I want to ask a stupid question. If you get bottled water in in plastic, is that plastic leaching into the water or is it other plastic that's in the water. Uh, it's the manufacturing practices from the bottle water industry that caused. But is it the bot Are we talking about the bottles themselves? No? Okay? So in other words, even if they're in a glass bottle, that's
not a guarantee that you'll have plastic free water. Correct. See that's what people need to know because I heard someone saying, I'm only going to buy it if it's an aluminum or if it's in a glass. Correct. You know it's the the manufacturing practice has created the nanoplastic problem. They misused the
filtering process reverse housmosis. Membranes are designed for soft water only, and so what they try to do is eliminate removing the hardness before going to the filtration and the whereas you have to remove hardness, then filterrading, then filterrade. If you don't, you keep plastic. Well, what happens is the hardness just Troy's the membranes and then plastics. Oh so the membranes aren't effective at pulling out Well, the membranes are. The membranes are effective toime, but
what happened was they wear out fat right. And then if you read the article when they picked on the three major you know, bottle of water brands that had nanoplastics, they also had the membrane fibers. Okay, so I get that membrane finders fiber filters. Membrane filters do a good job at pulling out plastics with reverse osmosis processes, but they don't stay effective for a long
period of time due to water hardness. Correct. So if you don't address the water hardness, you render your membranes ineffective after a short amount of time. Correct good three oh three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five y five? Angela, what's going on? Angelo? What's happening to? Good Man? What's happening? We've got a flat roof here above the garage, and we look for a long time to find somebody that could put
a covering over it that was water. Excel Roofing can do that. Well, now I know that. Okay, this is like a two year search, right, So we found these guys out of Denver that came out and says, yeah, we'll put this stuff down. It's kind of like, what's the name of the company outside, Highline Roofing. Okay, hold on, Angelo, I'll come right back to you, I promise, Highline Roofing. So we started the contract in October and we entered the contract in October. The guys started the work in December and got done the middle of December. When they got done,
it looks beautiful right until the first snow. And we have kind of ponding issues all over the place where it's holding water on a flat roof. There's it's kind of like a Linolean stuff. Okay, well do you have a warranty? Will they help you? Where does the stand right now? Where does it stand right now? So here's the thing. The guys came out and looked at it. They're very vague on who the owners are.
They're just telling me these are the project managers and supervisors and stuff. But yeah, I'm showing them these issues and they're telling me they're not issued. So the wrapped from then? Wait, are they saying the job's fine? Yes? Have you had it looked at by any Have you had it looked at by anyone else? No, let's do that, but there's go ahead ponding water? Well I understand, but i'd like okay, so all right, if you run a hose up there, can you get it to pond?
Oh? Yeah, and it's quite a bit. It's probably three quarters of an inch of water in the words? No, okay, so listen, what so they say that they're not going to do anything. Is that the bottom line? Yeah? He said there's nothing we can do. So the rep came out and they were offering a tenure warranty through the manufacturer. And the rep came out and said, after a long story short, he said, you guys use the wrong glue. We're not going to warranty this.
So wait a minute, you did have it looked at. The rep said, they use the wrong glue. Yes, but he said, as far as the install it's installed right. But it's a workman issue where there's the waves in it, the scenes don't line up well. Your roof might not be totally flat either. You might have a problem with the decking. I don't really know. I mean, but but they should have told you that at the time. So well was one issue I brought up. I told him, I said, you know this holds water. I just wanted
flat. How much did you pay for this roof? Just over twelve grand gole. We need to call them man to find out where they stand when you brought up or the manufacturer told you and them they use the wrong glue. What do they say about that? Do they disagree with that? No, of course they didn't, you know. So I'm like, well, actually I took pictures of the guys working and actually had a picture. Here's what I'm asking Angelo. I'm going to ask this again. Do they disagree
with the manufacturer? Go with a sure thing Denver's Best Roofer Excel Roofing dot com. You don't pay a cent until you're content for an insurance check up free no obligation. I love the man. He is such a great guy and when it comes to selling real estate, you're

Everything that's Frank Dran The real Estate Man dot Com three h three nine two zero sixteen twenty two. I want to go to Jay Bretz. He's with Excel Roofing known him for years, somewhat of an expert. They do some flat roofs, and he's
having pooling water on there. Jay, if you go to a garage and let's say the deck is a little wavy and stuff, would you recommend replacing that deck first or take your chances, or can you correct it with a flat roof without putting a whole new deck up. It depends upon the condition of the plywood. If the plywood is strong enough, even if it's a little bit wavy, it doesn't necessarily need to be replaced. Let's just pretend this is in the city. But how do you keep it from pulling water?
So after we strip off the old roof, what we do is we put this styrofoam on there. It's called EPs, and it's the same stuff like your television is packed in, but you make a big puzzle out of it. And what you do is you add pitch to the roof. So you basically put all these pieces together and make a triangle or whatever shape you're trying to get so that you eliminate that pond. Usually that pond's in the center of the roof or something like that. You could take it from one
side to the other also if you'd like. And by the way, I should mention there is no such thing as a flat roof, right, It always has a tiny pitch. I'm not supposed to be a flat roof, but we see them all the time. It's always it is always supposed to have some pitch. Tom, You're absolutely right. Now Angelo has one. What part of town are you an Angelo color to bring barns and powers?
Okay? Okay? And down in Colorado Springs you hired a company and they won't come back and do any thing about it because the manufacturer said they used the wrong glue. It's not a manufacturing problem. I don't even know what they mean the wrong glue, and the wrong glue wouldn't cause pooling. I just think everyone's looking the blame game. And the installer said, look, we did it right. We're not going to redo it, even though there's
pooling. I would say, if there's pooling, you automatically did it wrong. There's two and they did. There all the epads, Tom, the contracts that are quartered per foot, and they just changed it and put an eighth in per foot. So there is all going out to the wall to some scupboards. But there's several areas that are pooling. Okay, go ahead, Jay, Just there's two different issues there. According to Pike's Peak Regional, they'll tell you how long that water can pond, and I don't know
if it's twenty four or forty eight hours. So even with those pawns, it might be acceptable to the building department. Does it drain angelo the majority of it? There's probably eighty percent that ponds in several area It's no, no, no, I'm eighty percent of it. But when it ponds, does it eventually drain off? No, it evaporates over several days. Is
evaporating considered draining? Jay? If it evaporates, If it evaporates within that twenty four to forty eight hours, I would have to check with Pike's Peak to find out exactly what there are. Do you have someone that could run over and take a look at then we can take a look at it. But the other issue that was brought up was that the manufacturer saying that the
wrong glue was used in order to put the maturires down. Is that correct, Angela, Yes, yes, yeah, they had put they said they were going to put CDX and they put OSB and it's an IB deck shield they I don't know the name. It was supposed to be an IB waterborne and they put a cal Treans blue or notthing of bluin. And when the rep found that out, would that cause the pooling though? No, no, absolutely not. But what it would cause is this the roof has been
installed incorrectly. So regardless of the pooling of water. Yeah, but what do you do if the roof and refuses to make it right? That's the thing though, You got to go after him. That's the unfortunate part. So should do and everybody out there listening whenever we have a problem with a roofing company and we can go look at it. Tom but his best bet, and I can tell this by the way he's talking that he's educated himself, is to have an independent rule. That's what he has to have.
In fact, I'm amending it. I don't want you to go. I truly think he has to hire an inspector. And then once you do that, Angelo will teach you how to go to county I mean you have to go to county court. You're gonna have to. You can't go to small claims court. But I think these people have to step up. Well, once you get your roofing inspector, we'll call them and see if we can bully them in a good way to do it. Okay, And I mean there was several issues too. Is with the right glue not being used.
There's kin of bubbles where it's kind of coming. That's what a roofing inspector would do. You need a roofing inspector. That's exactly I haven't paid to need money. I kept offering to give them money before they started, and they said no, we'll square up at the end. Oh good, good if you haven't paid them, good If you get a good roofing inspection done and it has to be redone, you're in the driver's seat. And if they try to I much rather be in this position. You're in to defend
yourself for not paying. By the way, Jabret's Excel Roofing, thank you for being here. Excel roofing dot com three oh three seven six one sixty four hundred. That's excel roofing dot Com as an excellent Let's uh, let's keep going here. And I want to go to Larry with a home warranty problem. Larry, what's going on? Hey, what's going on, Larry? Yeah, yeah, Now, by the way, I listen to your
show all the time. Thank you. We're off the air right now, and we're on the of course, we still have a huge audience on the iHeart app, the YouTube morons, the Facebook flunkies, and anyone else listening online. So go ahead, sir, what's happening? Well? I I bought this five year plan with this selectome warranty outfit, and you know, for to cover all my big things like furnace in their conditions, except that you don't know what's covered until you have a loss, and then they tell
you whether it's covered. Listen, home warranty suck, keep going. Oh right, Anyway, my furnace went out on me on September or February the tenth. It was on a Sunday morning, and I called them and they jacked around with me and they were going to have send somebody over to look at it, and they never did show up. They said they had a flat tar and was in a dish what blah blah blah. I kind of cracked. Anyway. I was really concerned because it was cold, it was
winter. I didn't have heat in my house. And I said, I got to have my furnace fixed, and so they jacked around with me, and I think the next day was Monday, and still nothing happened. And I called your fix it guys that I hear you advertise on your show. Yeah, they were over on TUESDA. They were over a Monday, give me an estimate on a furnace and an air conditioner. And on Tuesday I had a new furnace and a new air conditioning. So very ok you,
very free with your work. Well, I'm gonna tell you're not gonna get that. You're not going to get the warranty to pay for it. Well, they said that. I talked to them just before I called you, and they were going to give me like six hundred dollars to fix it. Guys told me they had to have a new motor put in the furnace. It would cost twenty one hundred dollars and they couldn't guarantee it because the furnace was twenty years old. I said, Okay, give me a new furnace
and their conditioner and let's go from there, which they did. They did a very good job. All I want from that stupid select forny Burn is my money back twenty three hundred and sixty two dollars for you know what, here's the thing, Larry, I know, I know this sucks, but I'm going to tell you something. They wouldn't have bought you a new furnace anyway, Okay, you would have never gotten a new furnace. Okay. And I also, you want your money back, you need to go to
small claims court. They're not going to do it. And I'll tell you why they won't do it. They won't do it because what you did was you went outside of their procedures and and they're in the right now. I understand. That's all they have to do is delay. That is one of their tactics. They simply delay until people take action. Then they say, well, you shouldn't have taken your own action. They suck. Every single home warranty sucks. Every let me repeat, every single home warranty sucks.
Am I saying they never pay a claim? No, but they pay very few claims, very very very very few claims. They delay people or they have a situation where they call it owner abuse, normal wear and tear or a previous condition. You have paid for a pig and a poke. You pay for something and you don't know if it's going to cover you or not, and they never go back retroactively and adjust the premium. They base the premium on what you have in the house, but you don't know if that
what you have in the house is even cupboard until something goes wrong. Select Home warranty sucks, Blue Ribbon Home warranty sucks, Excel Services Home warranty suck, or Excel Energy whatever. They all suck, and you're not going to get your money back unless you go to small claims court and make a settlement. Okay, I do I have one question now, by the way, how did they arrive at six hundred dollars they're willing to give back. I
don't have any idea. I sent him their information they wanted from the guy from fix if he made a report, packed up a report, and I sent it to them, facts to them, and I guess they decided from their to give me six hundred dollars. But anyway, they told me if I want to cancel my the rest of Statific's a five year plan. I just got it in June the twenty three or twenty twenty three he said he was giving me nineteen hundred dollars as an adjustment on the what was left on
the plan. I said, that's fine, I would take that. You don't want to do that, well, so did they give you the nineteen hundred, well, the the bone. I guess they will, he said he would. I don't now listen, once you get that nineteen hundred, just be lucky that I would be satisfied with the nineteen of twenty three hundred. Well, I agree with you. I agree with that hum percent. Yeah, I will will, I will, I will be verst satisfied. And then go on and put as many reviews as you cannebet I want to
do. Yeah, I agree with you, and I want you to call me back when you get the money. Three oh three seven one, three eight two five five more coming right up. Hi Tom Martino, your troubleshooter three all three seven one three talks seven one three eight two five five. All right, let's talk to Mary about the HOA issue. Here, Mary, what's going on with your HOA? Hi? Tom? First of all, every day I was reading here bio last night man or you would go get her. So what's happening? Good?
Thanks? Okay, let me tell you what I lived in n NHOA. I've been here a very long time. Our dudes have gone up over one hundred and twenty percent and a year, and of course there's new ceiling. So we were totally blindsided by this. Before the first increase in February twenty twenty three, there was no communication whatsoever from the board. They just said, okay, you're dues. You now up to eight hundred dollars a month. So what I had done is I had requested JA records to review
so that I could better understand the HA business. Because we had some trouble with the roofs. They had to do it twice. Shingles were falling off all over the place. The first time it was a disaster, so they had to do it again. So we just decided a few of us that we'd like to see some records to understand how business is. And a couple of our neighbors have said, hey, Mary, you would be great on the board. But the HOA, now, the HA manager is making it
really difficult for me to get these records. And he set the feet at eleven hundred dollars one and fifty dollars for the records. So I'm like, okay. I asked the board about why is the fee so high? Because the CCIOA says, okay, the HA can set a reasonable charge. So the HA comes back and says, okay, reasonable charge. It's not based on your ability to pay, It's based on whatever the HA manager says it
is. So that's where I am right now, and I'm just like, why are they not Why isn't it like okay, Hi, Mary, you know, how can we help you? You know, we'll get these records here. Yeah, we'd like to help. Instead, it's just like okay, let me let me go over some of this Okay, First, let me set some ground stuff up. Mary. I know you're upset and I would be too, And first I'm on your side when it comes to looking at records. But I want to say this. I said this before I'm
predicting this. There is a major crisis right now with HOA and talent community. Yeah, okay, it's a major crisis and it's going to get worse. And until there's government intervention there, it is a major crisis. But it's not the hoa's problem. It's it's not the HOA board. They are on the board that the HOA is you. Now, unless in some rare cases there are runaway management companies that simply self governed because there's no community involvement,
I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the hoas that are active, that they are facing a daunting task of trying to pay their bills and have enough in the coffers for dam images. Now that eight hundred a month may be exactly what they need to charge. However, let's get to your point. You are totally you should be able to see financial records. Unfortunately, hoa's are making it too difficult for people to look at records. By
putting these fees on board. I don't understand why it's so expensive. Why wouldn't they open the books to you where you can go into the office and examine them and take notes. Why can't you do that? I've often wondered why there is such a charge. No one says you have to make photo copies of HOA records. I mean, I don't even understand why they're confidential
at all. They don't need to be Tom yes doc. You know when we when a patient asks us for medical records, there's a fee that we are allowed to charge, right, So I want if we would ask Brad O'Brien if there's some law that real estate that they're just avoiding and that maybe they're allowed There isn't h There is a law specifically for hoa's that does allow them to charge a fee. And the reason they're allowed to charge a fee is if they have to actually provide documentation. I know, but the fee
per page. When I was doing it, there was a fee per page that you can only charge a patient. I couldn't arbitrarily say give me two thousand dollars few records. And by the way, nowadays that's not even an issue because you can go online and see all of your records. Okay, so that's going You're right, and that's the way it should be. With Hoa's. You should have a log in and be able to examine any record anywhere. And by God, by God, what I'd like to do is
make that a law. Yeah, make that a law. Again. We have the political climate. You see, sometimes I sound extremely conservative, other times I sound liberal. And this might sound liberal. I think every single owner in every single community has a right to have a log in, a secure log in, and they have a right to look at online all of the records and the budget. That's the way it should be. It's not that way. Instead, they impose fees and they make it difficult for Mary
and I might just go on a damn campaign to make that transparent. Now again, I want to get our HOA man on. I want to get him on. He's an expert in HOA affairs. But he said, for some reason, anything to do with hoas against Hoa's is voted down because they have such a strong lobby through the law firms and through the management companies. But what I don't understand is how our government in Colorado is so liberal.
How they can possibly listen to these giant, multi billion dollar corporations and not be for the lip for the resident rights. Again, that may sound liberal to you. I don't give a damn. It's for the consumer, and right now, for the consumer. I think everyone living in an ha community should have an unabridged right to look at anything they want, and nowadays we have the technology to make that so with a log in. There's no reason why with your log in you should be able to go online and look at
everything. Now, they might make stupid arguments like, well, what if they make copies of it? Who cares? Who cares? Who cares if someone can see the trash bill in my community here? Who cares? I don't care. Or if they can see anything in my community as long as they can't see homeowners information, what difference does it make. You can limit what they can see online, and they should be able to see every single bill, every single bill being paid by the HOA, their surplus funds and
everything the HOA is doing. So Mary, right now, I can't help you. They're allowed to charge it. I want to go. I want to talk to Paul. Excuse me, not Paul stand the HOA man and I want to ask him his uh oh is the honor already? Stan? Are you there? Yes? Stan, listen, Yes. Do you agree that there should be a law of people could just log on and see it all? Why shouldn't they? Well, this is a major issue with HOA
homeowner's access to documentation and what you were talking about. Yes, they should have as long is it not proprietary, Long is they're not involved in a lawsuit and would sway one thing or the other? Yes, and we are working on right now. It starts at home to school home. You'd be surprised how much they limit you to viewing at that time, but denying you
that it's in the already about every document that you have access to. Okay, so Mary can see the financial documents, but they're telling her it's going to be eleven hundred bucks. Yeah, well no, it's it is supposed to be no costs except for mailing and reproduction. But no one needs that. It shall be online, like you said, So you know what Mary's working on. Mary, I'm telling you something. Your HOA is off base.
What's the what's the name of the community A cord is Applewood Village in a court HA management company, And is a cord the one telling you it's going to be that much money? Yes? And then I asked that because my nephew is a board president for another HOA and he does not have They don't pay an HA management company. He does it all himself. That he told me. He said, well, you need to send that cost. Tell your HOA board, you know, go around the HA manager and tell
the board how much they're asking. So that's what I did. The HOA board came back and said, you know, it's not based on your ability to pay, it's based on whatever he says it is. So they're supporting him and it is not okay. His son who is his name? Yeah, his name is Kyle. His name is Kyle. And do you have his phone number because we'll call him. Do you have a hit? I don't want it right on the air, but do you have his number?
Oh? Well I can get it for you for sure. Hey. You know Stan Nel Stan, we need to use you from time to time to help us. We I mean, honest to God, what this is wrong? Stan? We need to do something about this. And I'm going to help you get some walls past. I've been working on this for eight years you have, but scam begins. You know, when you sell your home in an Hoa Tom they trump this thing up as a transfer fee to give
you the documentation. Any other day of the year, three and sixty four day of a year, you can go in there and get it free. I've done it. Except when you're selling your home. The identical information cost you between two hundred and one thousand dollars and we documented that. Hey, they will, Stan, do you have a lawmaker that would write this lege? Do you have anyone that listens that would agree with you on this? Most of them agree with me, most of them. We've had bills that
pertain to this setting limits on this. There should be no limits. The loss of zero. But when you sell your home to get the documentation, they sell it to you. It's you're already paying to have it maintained. One point is I think, you know, I think we need to you know what we need to bring this that this is just wrong. I don't know on every level this is wrong and Kyle has no right to set a
charge. I would like someone to call Kyle. I have Oh no, don't do it on the air, Stan, you ought to call Kyle and say you work for you know our show, because you do, you're you're a deputy here and ask them how do they set that fee? And let us know? And honest to God, Stan, I'm going to help you. I'm going to help you get the ear of some lawmakers and get this passed. And I'll go down there and testify based on the forty five years
I've been taking calls from homeowners. It's just about time right now, that homeowners have some power. Okay, this it's wrong that these HA management companies are allowed to do this. Okay, it's wrong. And and uh currently and there's do you want to know the sponsors? Well, there's an HA task forces looking at legislation and I don't think there's any any billins. Okay, Stan, do you know about that task force? Yes, it's not going to do much pre Why Well, I'm going to contact them, tell
me why why. I'm going to talk to the chairman. Is there a chairman of that task force? I don't have the name a head. It is all right, hold on, hold on, Kaschina, do me a favor. Get Mary's information off the air. Get that guy Kyle's information at Applewood. I want Stan thehoa man to place a courtesy call from the show and just get his temperature on why he set eleven dollars as a price. Okay, Stan, I would love to do that and then get you back
on the air to report that. And I'll just Stan, I'm pledging to help you get this pass. I promise you now. Remember Genesis Total Exteriors has that new smog eating roof I want to let you know about it because it's so incredible it can actually help the environment. We are here to help you in any way we can, and part of that is exposing problems. And I'm telling you right now we need something done at the state level for condos and town homes or people are just going to be beat up. I want to go on to Phil, Phil, what's going on with your auto accident? Phil? Hey, Tom, what's
happening? A longtime listener, So I hardly. I haven't been in a car accident so long. It's been like decades. But when did you get into When did you get into one? It was on Monday? Uh, oh, what happened? I was in a parking lot and I was inside the store. Somebody came in, Hey, somebody have a BMW outside and I said, yep, and I said it just somebody just backed into you.
I went outside. There was a guy in a truck. Luckily he actually stopped, you know, he was responsible enough to stop and wait for me. Okay, So he backed into the back bumper on my vehicle. And I just want to make sure that I'm not missing anything. So I live in Color Springs. I was in Denver. So I took a picture of the guy's registration, his insurance good and and license plate and license plate yep, okay, good, excellent, that's all excellent. What else did
you do? Did you take a picture of your car? Yeah? Got it? So what is your question? So I've got his number, I've been I texted him some photos. My question is, so we exchanged information, but he he would like not to report it to the insurance. You know, he said he'd just like to cut me in check, because you know how the insurance is nowadays. Said no, I get it. There's nothing wrong with that, as long as you know you have some to go
back on him, you know exactly. That's that's what my concern is. So how much damage see a lot of people say they're going to take care of something until they see the damage because sometimes they think it's just something small.
What year is your beamer? Twenty five? So I'm suspecting it's probably about one thousand dollars thing to replace the back bumper and finish it, and there shouldn't be anything underneath, but there might be the pham, the liner between the you know, I would get a written statement that he signs saying he'll take financial responsibility for the damage. Did you do that? I did not? Well, So why are you asking me? You already let him go, So why are you asking me what to do? Well? Like
one thing would file and filing a police report? Do any good? Like if I if he refused to pay, Yes, it would. Now you have to do a counter report. They're not going to do a report in a in a private parking lot. Okay, so it was a private parking lot. Yeah, but you can still do a counter report. It's called okay, all right. I don't know. I think they'll accept it. But here's what you do. Okay, you need to call him, You need to text him. You have a cell phone, right, Yeah,
I've texted them some photos of the CARYO. Okay, did you get a price now? Yet? It's so hard getting a price with you when you're not going through insurance with a lot of body shops, they're all only accepting insurance claims. With all the heal damage we've had here in Pula Springs, there's got to be something you can get. Yeah. Why I submitted a couple of keliber and then there's another place that I submitted online. They said it should be you know, a couple of days before you get a response
for that, I would say. I would say to the guide, listen, I appreciate you not wanting to talk to your insurance, and I'm willing to go along with you. If you simply acknowledge by text that you will take financial responsibility for the damage to my twenty eleven BMW blah blah blah, just for an incident that took place on Monday, so and so and so, please respond. That's exactly what I would do, because you need to go to small claims court and you don't want the guy saying I don't even
know who you are. Probably well, how else did I get a picture of his? Anybody can take a bait, it doesn't matter. I mean, listen, bro, he can say you did that because you saw he sold you something. I mean. What I'm saying is, Phil, you don't understand the capacity of people to lie, right, I mean, I swear to God you do. Unless you're in business, you don't know the
capacity of people to lie. Now. I've had people, listen, I've had people talk about my good sponsors, like saying the guy came in and pete on my floor, or the guy came in and didn't give me a price, or told me it was going to be twelve hundred dollars and it was twelve thousand. Now you know that didn't happen. You know people aren't that stupid. I mean, you've had people say all kinds of crap. It's amazing to me what people get accus stuff and people's capacity to lie.
You would be shocked. So do me a favor and send that simple text saying in regards to the incident that happened on Mondays, give the date to my BMW, give the description. I want acknowledgment that you will take financial responsibility for the bumper. Please acknowledge this text and confirm you will pay. And if you don't get a response right now, you file a small claim
right now. You don't wait until you get your estimate right now, and you sue for seventy five hundred dollars because you have time to amend it to less. But you sue for seventy five hundred, have them served and have a court date. five. It's a theis turn with roofproofing issue. Wow, what's going on the Yeah? Hi, Hey, we have hail In the spring. We had a pretty boud hailstorm and had a significant damage to the roof. My significant other also owns a auto shop. He had damage there and we had some salesmen came out, you know the guys that come around after that happens, and put us a good sell that he's going to take care of everything with our insurance and get us more and we don't have to worry about anything.
And so we hired them. They did the shop roof, they messed some stuff up on that. What's the name. What's the name of the company, Commercial Roofing Contractors. Okay, let me just say something to everyone listening. If I took a pool of people who have been ripped off by roofing, I just want to try a universe of people like this big pool of everyone who was ripped off and roofing, ninety eight percent of them would be from people who were solicited. Now, I'm not saying that every time
you're solicited you get ripped off. What I'm saying is, out of all the people ripped off, about ninety eight percent of them, it happens when they're solicited. So keep going, right. So, like I said, we had trouble. There was some thing, some issues with the roof after they did it on the on Chris's shop, and so the salesman that we've been dealing with, point person, salesman, whatever you want to call him, took care of it after much many phone calls from Chris. I mean
it took got it. I get it, you know. And is the actual name is the actual name of the company, Commercial roofing the roofing contractors. Yes that is actually contractors. Okay, Yeah, that's so generic. Okay, So anyway, go with a sure thing Denver's Best Roofer Excel Roofing

Now Tom Martino, Hi, Tom Martino here, Welcome to the show. Three O three seven one three Talk through A three seven one three eight two five five.
THEA said that she and her her spouse or significant other hired a commercial roofing contractor that's what they're called contractors to do their roof at home and at their shop, and so let's continue. I want to get right to the problem. Yes, so what is the problem. Yes, we have this roof on our house now that is terrible. It's going to have to probably be replaced. We went ahead and upgraded. We decided to go tell me
what's wrong with it? Okay. We decided to upgrade and go standing steam metal to get the best roof we could and not worry about it in the future. It's been the extra money. So we're talking at thirty five thousand dollars roof on the house now, so hold on. So the roof you have now is a standing seam metal roof, correct, And you thought that was going to give you no problems in the future as far as hail damage, well, less problem and a more just longer range roof from what we
heard. Okay, go ahead, all right, got it right, right? And so the guys, the commercial roofing contractors hired a subcontractor crew to come out and do this job. The whole time it was very what's wrong with that? You didn't tell me what's wrong with it? Yes, So it's it's crooked. The edges are rough, they're like, there's no cap. Can you say it's crooked. When you look at the seams, they don't they're not straight correct, they are not lined up with the house.
They didn't steal it up close to the house with like the edge pieces I don't know the proper term, sorry, you know, the little pieces to edge it up to the house. And we have since had other roofing contractor come out and look at it and said, it's probably the whole thing is going to have to be taken off because there's no okay hold on. The seams are crooked, the edges are rough, and are there other trim problems or what kind of what other problems? Yeah, so like the little in
caps are supposed to go on aren't on. It looks like a two year old cut the men when you I wouldn't necessarily trust another roofer either to tell you what you need. So, I mean, I'm not saying it doesn't have to be torn off, but but who was the other roofer we did? We went to the home show and had some roofers come out and look, several different roofers come out and how many roofers look talk how many other
rules? I believe I believe we've had three roofers look at it. Okay, so then that's a consensus three other roofers, and they all say it has to it has to be redone. It's crap. It's crap, basically, yes, and it's going to have to be done. So how much did you already pay for this? It has not been paid for. No, it happened good, excellent, excellent. I love these people that don't
pay up front. This is wonderful. This is wonderful because okay, now before you have somebody tear it off and redo it and you don't, you're not faced with a giant lean. You have to fight that battle first before you have it redone. By the way, is the roof leaking? It is not leaking. No good of course, we really haven't had rain or much you so you didn't have it replaced? Thank goodness? Yet correct,
we have not. We are at the spot now. So the guy that came out and sold us, the point person we've been dealing with with this company, he is now long longer with a company. And the company we have called over and over and over and they will not return our calls or speak to us. Basically, and in the meantime, the subcontractor called Chris, the guy that put the roof on, who also put a hole in the roof of my car, left metal all over our Okay, I get it, I get it, they saw it. But anyway, all you
have to deal with is commercial roofing contractors. That's your deal. What do they say they're going to do? What do they say they're going to do about it? They won't respond to us or call us back. We have no, we don't. Are they trying to collect the money? When was it done? And this was it done last spring? When was it done? It was done over the summer, and they tried to collect they they called and said, oh even And Chris is like, well, I'll pay
as soon as you guys make sure the roof is right. I'll pay and then, but do you understand it's too late for them to put a lien on your house? Right? Oh? I did not know that. That's wonderful. No, it's too late. Now listen, let me explain something to you, dear, because I don't mean dear is a put down. I want to ask. I want to explain this to you. Okay, now listen, if they come out to your house and do any stitch of work at all. It will extend the deadline for their lean. So what
am I saying to you right now? You know they did a suck, a sucky job. You know they're terrible. They the last time they were on your roof was summertime. They had one hundred and twenty days. No excuse me, they had four months. So that's yeah, one hundred and twenty days to put a lien on your house. They did not do it. They can't do it. Prey and clear, do not let them come back. They haven't come back to work on it, have they no?
Okay, okay, good, you don't want them to not now. Normally I say give them a chance to do the right thing, but if they've abandoned you more than four months, you don't give them a chance anymore. Because they can't lean your house. You're going to refuse to pay. And since you don't have to worry about a lean, what you're going to do is you're not going to let them do anything at your house, not even clean up, nothing, nothing. You're going to tell them they're no longer
welcome and you don't want them there. Then when you hire a new company, you're going to take pictures and document everything because they will sue you for the money. They can't lean your house, but they'll sue you, and this will be your defense. And only hire a company that is willing to literally testify or be deposed if it becomes necessary. Okay, if they had to fix it, well, here's the deal. I would get a professional, unbiased, independent roofing inspector. That's what I would do. Okay.
Then I would combine that hold on. I would combine that with the other opinions of the other roofers. That's what I would do. Then I would go ahead and have it replaced and pay for it. Okay, that's what I would do. Now when they come after you for money. If they come after you for money, first of all, if they put a lien on the house, you can have it removed. They won't if they do put a lien on. If they do come after you for the money,
you use all of this information as your defense not to pay. Okay, because they can't collect from you unless they win in court. You know. Putting you with a collection age you won't mean a thing. Nothing means anything. But they will eventually probably sue you. What they'll do is they'll get an attorney or someone who says, huh, thirty thousand dollars, hey, and they didn't pay, let's go after them. I want ten, I want a third, and they'll go after you. Okay, but don't be
shocked when that happens. Be ready for it, okay, And there's nothing we can do. We don't need to take any legal action in our end. In the meantime, Well, I'm not giving you legal advice, so I'm not going to tell you that, right. I don't know what you would sue for. I don't know. You haven't paid for it now, and even if you have damages beyond that you I mean, I don't I would. I would leave it alone. But you might want to talk to an attorney about it. You can talk to Brad O'Brien. He's a real
estate attorney. He knows stuff about this. Maybe not, it's more of a construction problem. I don't know. I don't know who you would talk to on it. But you may want to get a consultation. But I'm telling you that I don't think suing them. I don't know what you would sue them for. Right, That's just my opinion. THEA again. You may want to run it by someone, Kachina, who can we run it by? What legal mind? Can we run this by right now? Just
to ask them? Maybe, Brad asked Brad O'Brien, if he wants to comment, if he does, uh THEA. If he can comment, we'll get him on hold on a second three oh three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five five coming up. I have Michelle and I'm gonna hold. I'm not gonna take her right this second, but I want to tell you. She's coming up about a problem going on with organ donations. There are many many people awaiting organ donations, and there's a shortage, but
it's not all because of a lack of donors. When she told me the story and I looked into it, I could not believe the reason for the shortage or adding to the shortage. And I'm going to give you a hint. It's wist literally waist Rodney. You have an auto accident? What is it? All the time it was kind of interesting. I was making a slow right turn and a gentleman on an old bicycle turning came in front of me from the from the south, and I was going west and okay,
So the guy was coming up your right side. He was coming in front of me from my left side, and okay he was and I saw him come in so I stopped real quick and he fell over. I did not hit him. I did not get a ticket. And he had to go to the hospital and he has Okay, so did the bicycle hit your car? No, it was two feet in front of me, because okay, he was coming. He was coming down. I don't get it, but okay, I don't need to get it. I don't want to bore everyone.
You were making a right turn and he saw you and stop suddenly and fell off. Well, no, he was. He was coming and he rode in front of me. I stopped. How did he ride in front of you? Okay? Now, what do you mean? Okay, if you're driving up the street and you're gonna make a right hand turn, okay, you're driving. I don't care if it's north southeast, but it doesn't matter. You're going down the street. You're gonna make a right turn. Where's the bicycle? He wrote it. He rode in front of me from
my left side. Okay, from your left side. He was coming across on a cross street. Yes, I got it. Go on, okay, got it all right? Now, that's perfectly clear. So you're making a right He comes in from the left and falls over. Yeah, okay, I stopped. I got it. And the patrolman that did the investigation said, well you did, So what is your question? He's followed a big claim against my son's insurance company because I'm driving his car. Wait now,
hold on, hold on? What kind of a claim for personal injury? Personal entry claim? Ye know? Does he have an attorney? I don't know yet. He hadn't found a nickclaim anything with us yet. How much is he asking for? He's asking for several thousands of dollars and dollars his medical bills. How much? Tell me about one hundred thousand or what? We don't know yet. He just they just said they're founding a lawsuit against my son his insurance company. Rather, okay, and Rodney, that's
exactly what's supposed to happen. Your insurance company is going to either settle or defend. Okay, they have to settle with you know, but as long as you tell the insurance company what happened, they should fight this. Yeah, that's why I'm going to get a copy of the police report because that's what's on there. Okay, good. And at the time, did he go along with that story? No, he didn't. He was laying in the street, wouldn't talk to anybody except when the ambulance came and picked him
up. But he didn't claim he was hit, did he? Yes? Oh he claimed you hit him? Yes, Well, then that's a whole different story. Brother, the police officer didn't give you a ticket? Why because I didn't hitting? Hold On? It doesn't matter. How does the police officer know that? How do I know you're telling the truth. Yeah, I'm talking about for this case, bro, I'm not talking about you personally. Hold On. I want to get John Fuller to weigh in on
this. Hang On three all three seven to one three talks seven one three eight two five. I've I've got a text for my guests here today, which is Paul the waterman. Somebody wants to know they have hard water in the house, they don't really want to change that out, and they also have a triple filter reverse osmosis. Now does that mean it's going to fail? And how long does it take to fail? Like, Okay, Paul, I have a reverse osmosis system at my sink, and I have pretty
hard water. I don't mind the water that much. I know you've recommended I do a softener here, and I'm considering that. But because I'm not here that much, that's the problem. So here's what I want to know. How does it mean? Does it render it useless? Or does it just mean you have to change it more often? Hold on, go ahead, sir, you have to change it more often. Okay. So hardness is a liquid that oxidizes, converged to a scale, and what it does
is reverse osmosis. Membranes are like a roll of film, So they're tiny membranes, right, and they're wrapped in layers like a roll of film, so that calcium can oxidize and block them right and rip them. How will we know when it's not effective? How do I know when I should change my membranes? The flow rate because of membrane's going to swell and it's going to stop producing that. How I measure a flow I don't know how to measure that. Well, you're hardly getting your water coming out of it,
Okay, So what do I do? When should I change those filters? Anywhere? It's safe to say with everything going on that every two years. Okay, if you use it regularly every two years, every two years, then then while you're there doing that, do you do you check the flow rate if they have hard water? Or do you just leave it? No? We I mean we do the heart hardness test and talk to them about okay. Yeah, but in other words, if someone wants the reverse osmosis
system, they can get it. They can get it. They don't need to put a soften in. If the hard water hardness is seven grains, are unders, are good to go. If it's over seven grains of hardness, you're outside of the operating parameter of that reverse often case, what was mind you remember? I think you're about seven? Okay, yeah, I
was pretty hard but not over. And the problem now is that if the if the EPA with the Biden administration, if they lower the water requirements for a dishwasher and washing machine, hard water is going to make them ineffective. They want to lower what they want to go to three three gallons per load on a dishwasher in a person cycle excuse me, and even less on the
wash machine. So hard water is really going to affect the operation of those plans is where you're gonna have to, like, you know, run two cycles just to get them clean. All right, good information waterpros dot net. More coming up, Go with a sure thing Denver's best roofer Excel Roofing

What you do to water systems, man, you know these softening systems that you do, honest to God to get the same level of softness, Well you can't. But those other I don't want to get into the brandings. So those other systems start at what twelve grand, eight grand, nine grand? What? I think a lot of our competitors start at five grand and go up to eleven thousand dollars or more, but they don't do near what you do at
three. No, and everybody'd be very candid with you. It's the same filtration media. The technology is not different. The difference is is that ours is manufactured in Appleton, Wisconsin. And so that's a cloud. Wait wait wait, that's for the ones that do it the right way or try to do it the right way. But then there's some that don't work whatsoever.
Well, and you know what I'm talking about, those magnetics, magnetic systems and there and there, and there's no such thing as a filtration media that's gonna you know what that realign the electrons exactly. That's the biggest scam. All right, well, in my opinion it is. It just doesn't work. Now let's keep going here. John Fuller is our expert. John Fuller, John, this is weird, and I want to ask you this, because you are a personal injury attorney. You do it the right way and
you really look at all aspects. In fact, you will turn down a case if you don't think it's a good one. So, now here's what's happening. John's driving up the street about to make a right turn. Okay, Now picture yourself making a right turn. A bicycle is in the cross street to the left, and they're going down the same street you're going to turn right onto but they see you turning right and they turn on their brakes so they don't hit you, and they fall over. You never strike them,
Okay, they fall over. The police investigate, no tickets given. However, he goes back home and calls this guy's insurance company or excuse me, a personal injury attorney and says, the guy hit him, and so he's making a right turn when you make a right turn. And by the way, I wanted to ask you, I'm John, not John. I'm sorry Rodney did the other guy have a red light or a stop sign. Uh no, it's it was a he was just crossing the street in front
of me. Yeah, but listen, Rodney, there's no such thing as two cross streets without one of them having either a stop sign or a traffic signal sign which I had already stopped. And okay, you had stopped, and then you started turning right and this guy slammed on his brakes and fell over. Now he's claiming you hit him. So what I'm asking John is if he he didn't hit him, and this guy says he hit him, I mean, what happens? He has no dash cam, which by the
way, would have helped what happens. Well, you took the words right out of my mouth. This is a classic example of exactly exactly why I recommend dash cans, so that it would put this whole thing to rest, as in a dash can. Keep in mind that other guy has the burden of proof, but since your caller has insurance, he can simply call his
own insurance. They have both the duty and the opportunity to defend that action completely, and they will make every determination as to how they defend it, what they do, whether they let it go into litigation, whether they settle it, everything along the way, But it is on that driver of the bicycle to prove his damages. Now, he's going to say that your caller failed to yield the right of way to the oncoming driver, and that bike
is afforded the right of way short of a stop sign or something. The bike has got the right of way there to be able to go across the intersection without being impeded by the by the right turning car. But you know, the you're starting to get into some serious gray area when you deal with you know, if he put down the bike but he never made actual contact, did the guy cause the collision? Could the other guy have avoided it, you know, with the exercise of appropriate in other words, could he
still be responsible for injuries even if there was no collision? Absolutely he could. Okay, so that's not really the main deal now, John, excuse me, I don't know why, Rodney. Are you sure they're claiming you hit him? Yes, Okay, in that case, you attack his credibility if he says he was hit. It'd probably be better if he told the truth and said I was forced to lay down my bike, Right, John, I mean that would be the truth. I mean, if that is
the truth, now here's the deal. I have a simple question. Are they listen, don't I don't think you need to overthink this thing. This other guy has the and the proof, and he's got one opportunity to put his story together. If he's claiming that there was contact between his bike and your car, there's going to be a mark. I mean they're just is Yeah, that was going to ask do you have damage to your car? John? I mean Rodney, Rodney, No, John is the next caller.
That's why I do Rodney, do you have damage to your car? None? Whatsoever? No scratches. Because so there you go. There you go make make and did you contact your insurance and tell them all it? Oh? Yes, yeah, So make sure you go the extra step. Take just a ton of pictures, a ton of photographs of the scene with the amount of you know, I mean it's it's kind of winter time right now, stuffs not butting out, but I mean still take take a picture
of the scene, of everything that you saw. Take a picture of your car from every conceivable angle. He's got the burden of proof, but you might help your insurance company defend the section by, you know, by by giving them tools to be able to say, guys, we're not buying it. You never made contact. He wouldn't have to prove that he made contact for your caller to be liable if he still caused the accident by pulling out in front of him. But if he goes on the record and says that
he did, then he's going to have to live by that statement. Improve exactly, That's what I'm getting at. Then if he changes his mind and says, well, on second thought, I didn't hit him, but he made me lay it down, then his credibility shot to hell. John Fuller, thank you, my accident lawyer dot co three oh three five nine seven forty five hundred hour expert. By the way, a quick question on reverse osmosis. Then we'll come back and talk about Oregon donations. Uh, John,
what is your question on reverse osmosis? Hey, I was wondering. I heard it takes like I don't know the number, but I heard it takes like two gallons to make one gallon of good water. If that's true, what does that take? Yeah, that's that's correct, because it's it's not one hundred percent h two own. It's not. You can't look at it as wastewater tri helo met thanks you chlorine which is chlorine and ammonia, so absolutely is it one? Is it two gallons for every two two gallons
to one? But also the level of TDS and water temperature could affect that rate as well. By the way, John, you got to keep this in mind too. He's not you don't do reverse osmosis for the whole house. You're doing it just for drinking water. Well, we do offer you can do it for the whole house. You can, right, but that's a completely different process. Okay, John, thank you for the question. Michelle brought a point up to my show, and I said, I got to look into this, and oh my god, I don't know why news media isn't on this. I had a friend. I had
a friend Michelle from is it Michelle by the way? Yes, okay, because I know you don't spell it with the e on the end, or you do, I don't know. But anyway, Michelle, here's the point. I have a friend who Mark McIntosh, who was in sports. He was a sports guy and a TV host, and he's done a lot in Denver. He's retired now I think because the medical problems. He's doing some inspirational speaking. So but he needs a kidney really bad. Yeah. I
have another friend of my vice friend who needs a kidney really bad. And I had Mark on the show. And the problem isn't always that they don't have the organs. I couldn't believe the statistic that up to half the organs are wasted because of transportation and handling issues. Fuck, oh my god, why why? Up to half. I mean, these are viable organs, otherwise viable, but they end up not being used exactly. Can you explain
why? Yeah, So the more I look into us, actually, the more I'm uncovering, and the more disturbing it gets, because this has really been going on since nine eleven, so we're looking at approaching twenty three years now. Where organs. You know, before nine to eleven, you know
the kind of the organ procurement organizations that handle these organs. They could take the organs through airport security and actually watch them being loaded on the plane from the passenger gates, and they would be loaded into the cabin of the aircraft with a pilot, so it would go in the cockpit. Yes, yes, did a person accompany the organ I don't know that. I'm not sure. But because of changes in security protocol, airline employees now load the organs
on the tarmac where they fly of pressurized cargo holds. They become part of the baggage, but they go in the same part of the baggage that your pet would go right, yeah or yeah, you're over my bag, But they're pressurized right or not? Yes, of course, buy and pressurized cargo holds yeah, okay, So what's wrong with that? People may ask, you know, my puppy goes in there, not all of them, a lot of them taking them on board. But let's say you have a retriever,
a golden retriever, they would go there. What would be wrong with that? If a golden retriever can survive, what is it about an organ that doesn't survive? Well, I mean, we've all seen what happens during turbulence to do you know, on videos, even on Instagram or whatever you're looking at. But there's nothing. There's not a surveillance camera, you know, there's no one looking after them. The temperature changes are not regulated. They're going in cargo. Now, here's what I want to ask you.
I get what you're saying, and I agree with you that, but I was always under the impression and maybe I just watched too many movies where you see them take it out of a patient, they put it in a container, and they put it on a private jet or a helicopter. Is that all false? So taking an organ from from the donor and getting it to the airport and from the airport to the the transplant center, that's not the issue. The issue is with the commercial airlines and what happens once the organ
reaches the airport? No, I get it, but they don't, so they is it? Is it a myth that they are flown on private jets if you want to pay for it? Okay, I get it. So they go on an airline And there were a number of reasons. And you sent me the new article today. What was that one about? It's more than just mis mishandling. Sometimes they get lost. How the hell does that happen? Really good question. I mean, we can track our Amazon packages down to a tee pretty much. Why don't we let Amazon do it?
I'm serious. Amazon would be great for organ delivery. Yeah, and it's it's you know in that article I sent you. And it's unfortunate because there was an extensive amount of research that was done for that article that went into an NBC News publication and it was it was published February of twenty twenty, and we all know what happened about March April of twenty twenty. Yeah, so it was buried. It was buried by COVID. Yes, this was
just starting to get national attention. This was just starting to get the attention of people but it was overcome by what was the pandemic. But in that article it also talks about, you know, organs making it to the airport, never even placed on an intended flight. There's the article's extensive. I don't want to cite everything that's in there, but it is horror. It is horror how they are handled. And the simple fact is before nine to
eleven they were closely monitored through security. They watched them being loaded on the plane, they went into the cabin with the pilot. And how this has been allowed to be changed for so long. It is sickening because we're losing so many organs every single year and the need is greater than ever. But why I'm reaching out to you is because I want the public to be aware
that there is a bill before the Senate. It is a Senate bill nineteen thirty nine right now, Yes, it was introduced this last June by Senator can't well out of Washington state, but it is. And okay, let me get that send s B. What number is it again, nineteen thirty nine and what does it say? Well, this is the problem. There's a lot in this bill, as there are with most bills that are put
before legislation and even the summary of this bill. You know, it's extensive, but it doesn't include the fact that there's a new organ transportation policy within it. It talks about everything else that is in this bill, but the transportation of organs. Within the bill, there are three identified changes that Okay, hold on, I got to come right back to you. This is really important stuff. I want to know what this bill specifies so people can
talk to their lawmakers. Hold on, we got more coming up. Go with a sure thing Denvers Best Roofer, Excel Roofing dot com. Hey Tom Martina here, which call the Waterman Waterpros dot need. Michelle has been enlightening me about organs that have gone missing. They got my ear because of Mark Macintosh waiting for a kidney, and this this
article that I read. Listen to this one hundred They wrote this article years ago and then COVID came and it went, you know, it got shoved to the back. One time a heart was left behind, and by mistake in another time, other organs were totally lost. Can you imagine where are they? Can you imagine someone discovering it and then here's here's here's what it was. Back then one hundred and seventy organs could not be transplanted due to
mistakes in handling and transportation. So what happened with you was personal? How did you get involved? It was your mom, right, Michelle, my mother in law. Yeah. Yeah, she was waiting for an organ and they said it's not viable, is that right? Well, she she got called into you know, the transplant center. They worked really hard on it to get it going, and then she done. It was a viable, and then you know, weeks had passed, she got called back in.
She got a healthy kidney, and she's doing great, and she just kind of inquired, you know, kind of what are the circumstances that make them an organ viable versus not viable, and we don't know the reason her specific kidney the first one wasn't viable. It could have been for a myriad of
reasons that involved no human error. But they did discuss at that time this problem with you know, commercial airlines transportation of organs and how often they see them damaged in flight or through no discarded or not being put on the correct flight, or things like that. And then I have my YouTube morons, Feel Free Morons and Facebook flunkies to chime in. Ask your questions. I'm
actually going to start. I'm going to actually start taking questions on I take them on next Door now, I also take them on YouTube and Facebook. So keep going. Hey, Tom, Yeah, can I just say something about the water filtration? Go ahead. I just read an article that the University of New Mexico did a study of I get it was between fifty and seventy five human placentas all had traces of microplastics and oh my god, every
single Now they don't know whether or not. The second stage of the study is to find out whether or not it's harmful, but the first stage is really eye opening that every single one had microplastics. God, that's scary. That is scary that I believe that's because of the mismanufacturing practices, if that's the right term that the bottle industry has been practicing. Uh, for a very long time. And I think the state of California when baby bottles bottle
water, bottle of water. Yeah, State of California want to crack down on water softening, waste water from water softing because of old technology that was still being implemented. And so what that did is that cause manufacturers to shortcut the process. And our membranes are not designed to be a pre treatment. They have to be fed some water and this is a direct result. I
truly believe that, And that was my concern. Doct that you know, if it's going and I mean it can also be part of the embryo correct, Well yeah, well yeah, everything that goes into the baby goes through the placenta. Yeah, I mean that's that could cause miss characters alone, I would think, Tom, I don't know, man, I is that the only thing in the environment killing us. There's the other things we don't even know about, Like what about pfas. We haven't talked about those in
a while. They added one hundred and eighty nine additional chemicals to the PFA's family that started with four, Now it's up to one hundred and eighty nine. Anyway, three h three seven on three talks seven one, three, eight, two, five five. Here's the deal. You got to do something about it on a micro level, just like you do with supplements. If you can't find good food, you do supplements. I mean, really, they help earnest what's going on with your car or with your issue with
what's Red Automotive? Hello, Ernest, what's going on? How you doing it? Really is a pleasure to talk to. And thought I'd never be having to need you, but I do have a need. What's going on? Man? These people done data messed up my wife's car so bad. I don't know which way to turn anymore. And that's why I talk. Okay, and tell me from the beginning, first about the car. What kind of car is it? And tell me what was wrong with it?
It's a twenty thirteen Equinox, and what was wrong with it was my wife had it had an oil change done, and then they said three thousand miles bring it back. But in about two thousand miles he was hearing the noise.
This is after an oil change at this place. Red Automotive correct after the oil change, and when they okay, took it back, they turned around and said that they found that they said it was bone dry, there was no oil in it, and they found a crack in the vow cover, and they recommended that the timing change and all the stuff we replaced now
hold on a sec though, Ernest, this is weird. So this is after they had already done an oil change, and only two thousand miles later they found all this wrong with it, Yes, sir, okay, but but how many miles on this how many miles on this car? Ninety eight thousand, okay? And so with ninety eight thousand miles it probably I do believe they need a timing belt changed. I think I gotta, I gotta figure this out. But on the on the what else was wrong with it?
It sounds major? Okay? Yeah, So what happened was is they did the timing belt and then my wife got the car back we had left and her son would to use it and it stopped. So they left it and we got back. When we got back from the vacation, we had it told back to him and he had said that well, his assistant said that the timing change broke and went the cam. So this is after they changed it out it broke, yes, sir, And and so I was like, okay, well, I'm not paying for this. He goes,
no, We're taking care of it, et cetera, et cetera. So the guy, the owner could not get it. He said, he could not get it to keep running. He said it would start, but it wouldn't keep running. So the guy acknowledges that he had Was it a timing chain, did they say, or a belt? A timing chain? I didn't know they had to be replaced, you know, hold on, Ernest, hold on, Kachina. Can you read my mind? What am I gon gonna ask right now? Kevin clocking? Hey, get our expert on.
By the way, I'm not opposed to using Jeff Fick or Romando, but you know who's ever available. I will and uh, you hold on and we'll come back to you on that. Okay, I want I want to get somebody on to talk about this. Three h three seven one three talks seven one three eight two five five. You know it's uh, it's really amazing though that we cannot go to our kitchen, sink or somewhere and just get clean water. Now we can't even go to bo and get good
water. Anyway, we'll talk about that coming up. I want to know what you do you put in that reverse losmosis system. I guess John, what is your HVAC question? Which is heating, ventilation and air conditioning? What's going on? Hey, Tom, I'm wondering about the filter. You know how you got to filter that you know blocks everything? Right? Can you put a filter in line in all the return vents instead of that one so you can block all the dust before it goes into your bence? Okay,
that would choke down the system they're designed first of all. Why would you want to do that? Though? Are you talking about return air or airflow? No, I'm talking about the return air. I'm thinking, you know, I want to get my ducks cleaned prety dirt. Well, there's only your ducks do not return air. Your ducks only push air out. Well, which one's return whenever the are that? Oh, when you walk in a room, sometimes the most underdesigned system in the world is return air.
That usually they don't have enough return air. But when you walk in a room, that all any vent that is just above the floor. I'm not talking about like heating and cooling vents. I'm talking about on the wall. They're ninety percent of the time on the wall. They're about two by two sometimes one by four, whatever the size, and it's low on the wall above the molding. Okay, those are return air vents. And you're asking should we filter return air as opposed to filtering the air that's being blown
into the home. And I do believe that's what they filter. I'm not sure where that filter is. Damn it. I can go and look at my furnace, but I think that if you think about the air flow, where is it? Where is it? Is it the air coming I do believe it's the air coming into the filter into the heating system. I'll ask, though my expert. You know who my expert is. Go ahead, yes, yeah, Hey Tom, I'm just saying, you know, okay, the return. I'm just wanting to can I put a filter? I
know, the return, not the blowout. Ben's the return because the other the filter that's next to the furnace, inside, the one you change monthly or whatever, that's the one that right from the return. Well, that's what That's what I'm not sure of. I'm trying to get a handle on this. So does a furnace filter go on the intake or outtakes side of of the the furnace. We have to ask. I mean, we'll call one of our experts on the intake or outtake. I mean, because I
really think it does filter the air. I really do. I I don't think that it. I don't think that it goes on the outtake anyway. They don't choke it down that way. I believe, and I'm trying to google this while I'm talking, but I do believe that it goes on the intake. You're filtering intake air. But I'm gonna tell during a break, I swear to you, I'm gonna run into my furnace room and I'm gonna

Tom Martino, you're a troubleshooter. Three oh three seven one three talk three oh three seven one three eight two five five. Kevin Colkin, I want to ask you a quick question. We have a complaint here from
Ernest. Ernest said he took his twenty thirteen Chevy Equinox for an oil change, then noise developed after that. It's got how many miles did you say total on it? Uh, Ernest? Ninety eight thousand? Okay, So they said he needed a timing chain replaced. Do timing chains get replaced? I didn't know they got replaced. Well, they can be replaced, but there's no time interval. They just replaced as required. Okay. They said he needed a timing chain and some other stuff. After two thousand miles.
How much did you guys spend on that? One and sixty dollars and eighty one cent they haven't repaired. How much? How much? One thousand? Got it? Okay, sixty got it, nineteen hundred bucks got it all right? Now, here's what I want to know, Kevin. After that, the timing chain broke again, is or not again? But it broke right, Ernest correct it and it bent the cam with it. Now they can't, So that wouldn't that like require a whole engine job, Kevin,
Yeah, you're looking on the mind its hold on. Go ahead, Kevin. There's definitely more damage going to be cause once the chain breaks. Yes, right, Okay, Now you're saying, Ernest, they can't get it to run more than a few minutes. Well, what happened was is after
they bent the cam and they put a new one in. When he got the new one, it wasn't the correct one, so he had it modified and that's when it wouldn't It would start, but it wouldn't stay starts, so he kept spraying gas on it to force it, and when he couldn't figure it out, he sent it to Chevrolet for them to look at it. And Chevrolet said that he should have never put that cam in there because it wasn't for that vehicle, and that it destroyed the flock. And then
they need to put in a new engine. Not a new one, but they need to put an engine in that has about ninety eight thousand miles on it. I would love it but you know what, We took all the stuff to him and then he called it back from Chevrolet. Got it, so called fixed the thing. He said to me when we went to pick it up, he goes, make sure you take it right to the Chevrolet dealer and trade it in. And I'm like, what he wants me to put my wife in this car? So we tade a minute. Here's what
I have to ask John. I have to ask this straight up. Did they fix it or not? No? If you're asking me got it, I'm asking you like you said that it wasn't working, then you called Chevy it is working. Now? Did they do something different? Did they correct their mistake? No, because what happened was when he released a card to us, I didn't feel comfortable, and I took it to another John before. Before you get to that, why did they release it to you if
they couldn't get it to run more than a few minutes? Okay, let me let me. When he got it back from the Chevrolet dealer, I don't know what he did, but it was running, and that's when he had said take it directly to a Chevrolet dealer. Got it, I get it, I get it. So you don't know what he did to fix it correct? Okay, they somehow fixed it basically, And you don't like the idea. How is it? Let me ask you this, How is
it running? It ran pretty good? But when, like I said, when I took it to the Chevrolet dealer, there was like he boxed this up, and it was what did they wait? What did they say he did to botch it up? Okay, now, being that I'm out of mechanic, I did send you an email and I do have photos. But the thing is, they said there was a vow cover and I know nothing about a vowve cover on it. Go ahead, go ahead? What did
they say? That it was supposed to be sealed and they glued it on, and that there was something like with the pan at the bottom was not put on correctly. And he was showing me photos of all the oil that was on the undercarriage of the car going over the some kind of they didn't put it back together, right? Did you call Red back and tell him this that is? Couldn't? I didn't only call him back. I took
the report that they gave me and took it back to Red. And he was upset and he was like, well, prove that it was my fault. Proved that was my fault. So finally he finally looked at the paper, and when he did, he said, Okay, bring it back to me and we'll fix it again. And we're like, no, you already had it for two months, over two months, and I said no, what they're charging us now is two thousand, five hundred to fix it. And at the same time, though, who's charging you that to fix it?
Excuse me, who's charging you the two thousand to fix it? Chevrolet? Okay, so you're going to have You're gonna have Chevrolet fix it, right, correct, and it's going to cost you two thousand dollars right, Okay, mister Tom, You're missing one point here. When he took it to Chevrolet, Chevrolet said, if the engine block was destroyed, and that was five thousand, seven hundred, I don't know what he did to get it fixed. Hey, Kevin, if they said the engine block, I
don't necessarily trust all Chevy dealers. So Kevin, my question is, if they said the engine block was destroyed, how the hell did they get it running. He's got to have it rigged up somehow, because that's you know, traded in right away, Ernest, where is it right now? Right now? Is at the second Chevrolet deal of that? Did the second Chevrolet dealer start doing the work yet? Yes, well that's too late for me to help you then, because I would have wanted my expert. I mean,
if why would you have this is my question? Why would you have a Chevy dealer correct this car with the valve cover and the oil pan if the block is bad? Why would you do that? Okay, this is this is what happened when we took it over there. No, Ernest, I don't want a story. Here's what I'm asking you. Are you having the entire engine done or not? No? Not the entire all right, you're spending two thousand dollars on a block that that a Chevy dealer said is
bad. This Chevy dealer would not have done this work. Did you ask the new Chevy dealer if the block was bad? No. What happened was is I got the paperwork from the first one and took it back to him and said, hey, this is what the first Chevy dealer is saying. He goes, well, we'll be as we start taking it apart to do to timing. But we'll be looking and we'll see this damage if it's still there. If it wasn't repaired, who would have repaired it? So okay,
okay, Okay. So here's what I'm getting at the second Chevy dealer said to you, when we do these repairs, we're gonna check to see if the block is okay. Is that right? That is correct? Okay, Ernest, Hold on a second. So it's possible that you approved two thousand dollars worth of repairs to get this fixed, and in the middle of it they're gonna or whenever they're going to tell you, what if they say to you, oh, Earnest, your block is bad and you're gonna need
another five thousand for a total of seven. Are you prepared to do that? No? When you see Tom, That's why I'm calling you. Because I'm not a mechanic. I don't know these things. Okay, Earnest, you should have never authorized that dealer to do any work whatsoever. If there was a question about the engine block, you should have gotten that checked first. Okay. If these guys have already torn into that engine, it's too late. You've authorized them to do this. What happens if they come back
to you and say the block is bad? What will you do? Then? I'm screwed. All I can do is just try to get an attorney and go at the red automotive. Yeah, and that'll cost you to sue someone. I tell people this all the time, minimum fifteen thousand dollars and you don't get attorney's fees. So why would you sue someone and spend fifteen grand to get a judgment? What I'm getting at is it's not gonna help you. You need to stop the Chevy dealer. How long has the Chevy
dealer been working on it? He probably just started to date. Tell him to stop. There's Kevin, Kevin. Isn't there a way to discern if the block is bad before tearing into it? Is there a way? Yeah? No, there are ways. Yeah. I'd like to see the report too. How did the first dealer? How did the first Here's what I want to know. How did the first Chevy dealer discover the block is bad without tearing it apart? Exactly? How did they know? I don't have
no, I'm not a mechanic ernest. Listen, no, I'm going to tell you something, Okay, Either the first Chevy dealer lied to you, even the maybe the first Chevy dealer lied to you, and the block is not cracked. Maybe Red Auto fixed the block, Maybe Red Auto fixed it
improv upperly, but you are total. No matter what scenario, you are wrong to authorize another two thousand dollars in repairs without knowing you're wrong because you're gonna be on the hook for two grand or almost two grand and have to junk the car, and then you think you're gonna get an attorney to go after them, and you're not. You're gonna be out a car, and you're gonna be out attorney's fees, and you'll never get enough money to make
it up. That's life, that's reality. So here's what you do. If you want real, honest to god advice, stop spending money on this car until you know the real condition. You should call that dealer and say, you know what, it's pretty stupid for me to authorize these repairs if I don't even know if the block is good or not because I can't afford to do the engine. You have to stop them right now. You should
get off the phone right now and stop them. How much how much you think they got done so far and what they told me is going to start this morning. So I really have no idea. I mean, I didn't hear you. I'm sorry, what did do? How much do you think? Do you think they have your car apart? Right now? I have no idea, Tom, Ernest, can you get over there? Do you have another car to drive over there? Yes? I do, get over there right now and tell them I made a terrible mistake. I cannot afford
these repairs if in fact, I'm gonna need a block. I need to find out if this car is reparable, is repairable or not. My wife is on the phone calling them right now. Okay, good, do me a favor and stay in touch with us. I want that car taken out of there, and I want it tested by someone I know and trust, and then you can decide if you want to go through and then if it's
that other shop's fault, we will help you there. Okay, you can go to small claims court for seventy five hundred bucks, So listen, Ernest. There are a lot of options, but the worst thing you can do is to authorize two thousand dollars worth of repairs on a car that you don't even know is good or not? Kevin, do you agree in all of that. Yeah, he needs to find out it like you. Like you even asked, how did they hand you the lock of the leg just before?
Yeah? Okay, Tom, I appreciate your help. I am going to get on this right away so I can stop them and I will definitely keep you in the loop that you know what's going on. Hi, Tom Martino, your troubleshooter three O three seven one three talk three O three seven one three eight two five five. All right, listen, it's just some oh by the way, John, I did find out for you, John, real
quick. For sure. The air that is filtered on your furnace is intake air. It airs air that goes into the furnace to be warmed or cooled and sent out to the house, so it is filtered. The intake air is filtered. The outtake air is the outflow is not filtered because you don't have to filter both. If you fill it on the way in, you don't have to filter it on the way out. Can you hear me? Yes, I can go ahead, yes, Hey, So okay, I understand that. But let me ask you this then. So I'm want to
get my ducks cleaned. So if I'm filtering the air in, I'm thinking that's where it's sucking in all the dark, right air? Human air? So do I necessarily have to clean my out vents? Then you only have to clean your ducks once every maybe five years or so, because even with filtration, things get into it. So, okay, that's what I'm thinking. Why don't I just filter on the intakes before? Well, that's what people are doing that, that's what you're doing. That is what a furnace
filter does. It filters intake air if you want to keep your ducks from getting dirty. You see, duct work doesn't necessarily get dirty from use. It's stuff that accumulates in there from it goes down your vents, you know, cat dog hair, whatever gets in your vents or during construction. They never clean them. So once you have a thorough cleaning of your vents, once that's done your duck cleaning, you don't really have to have it done
again unless they get dirty again. And you have a lot of companies that'll do a free inspection. But I would say I wouldn't do it any more than every five years. If I did have it done about every five years or so. Okay, okay, I would just think filtering it right at the instead of filtering at the furnace filter at begin where the vent is actually that way keeps that whole thing clean. I first of all, that's the intake air, okay, And you're right, there is a section. When
they do duck cleaning, they will do that intake vent as well. They'll clean that. But filtering it at the the reason they don't filter it at the wall is because you have too many of them. People are not going to change every intake filter they have, so they just make one at the central point where it all goes to the furnace, So the intake air to your furnace is filtered and that comes from the return air around your house plus
outside combustionaire for the fire. So listen, man, what I'm saying is it's a good idea, but it's already being done. What else can I say? Linda, what's going on with you? Hi? Linda, Linda, Hi, what's going on? Oh? My husband Dean is here as well. This is a situation that we have been facing since we had movers move us too from one apartment to another which was about a mile apart, and we've had some issues with the company because they first of all held our
belongings in what do you call it in with some word honeys contage. Yeah, they held our possessions and hostage because we were moving the twenty ninth of December twenty twenty two and he moved one load and he didn't do the other load, and over the holiday weekend he said, I'm not going to deliver the rest of your possessions unless you pay me, and he insisted on a cashier's check. Well, first of all, I did not know how much
it was going to be. And besides, the banks were closed Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, so I could not get to the bank until January third, and only after I gave him the check January third did he deliver the rest of our possessions. That was the first issue. The second issue was his church price, which was double the other company that had moved us prior. And the third problem was missing items that he claims he does not have and we have not found it, and also things that he
has broken during the move. But he doesn't take responsibility for any of that. Okay, Linda, now let me talk. Okay, this local move was done in December of twenty twenty, and they would not deliver the rest of the stuff. So here's what I want to know. When you got your initial contract, was there a guaranteed price to move you from one apartment to another? No, the price was lifted as one hundred and fifty five hold on from the contract. Wait a minute, they were going to move
you from one apartment to another for one hundred fifty five dollars. I'm years old, May I say, Tom, No, No, I want to help you, but I need to know a few things. What do you want right now? I just wanted him to Rea to have at the radio repairs out

Is that correct? Yeah? The O s I get it? And and what model Bow's radio is that? It's an acoustic wave radio, music player including radio and a CD player. Now do you do you use the CD player? We use it all the time. Is it a is it
a single CD player like the CD three thousand? It's a single CD player, that's the CD three thousand. So can you take a picture of that? Yes, we have a picture of it. Yeah. And okay, and how did they break it? The bottom is it broken? And the radio norse hower anymore? So? I called the radio two radio? Can you give me the model? Can you give me the model? Number on that uh pation and temporary to carry for who one? Can you give me the model number on your Listen, here's what I want to tell you.
Okay, we probably can't do anything about the stuff you think is lost. Okay, it's too late. I'm gonna be honest with you. We probably can't do anything about that, but we might be able to do something about the acoustic radio if that's your main concern right now.
