Yeah, ripped up news needed so you don't have come running just as fast as we can. Shooter's gonna help come. Man, This is the Troubleshooter Show. No Tom Martine, Hey, welcome to the show. Three oh three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five five. Today is car Friday, uh, and we will talk cars with Jeff fick Kimer transmission. Kevin Calkins shared an auto tech but we don't talk just cars. We talk everything you want, anything you want. Now. Obviously cars still a

major part of our lives. But I'm just pretty uh, I don't know, I don't know how to put it. It's almost sad for me. I'm just kind of well, if I had to describe, if I had to describe my experience with cars in general, I'm sorry. But think about it. They're boring. Have you guys noticed that all SUVs are looking the same. Oh yeah, if you don't see the back and see whether who makes it, you don't know what it is. And that sucks. Man

and Sedan's are boring. I mean, everything's boring. The only thing not boring right now is that cyber truck is not out yet. But I mean, really, no one is really changing anything. I don't know what it is now. Obviously exotic sports cars they look kind of cool. The McLaren's and the the the you know, the well, you know, the Lamborghinis, and I love the Corvette by the way, you know that, But that that's not practical I'm talking about. There used to be a time you

could stand out with an everyday driver. I mean, what are they? You know? I think that the thing that the reason Mercedes g wagons are getting surch charge one hundred and seventy five to one hundred grand on top of sticker is because they're probably one of the only SUVs that actually look different. And then of course they got popular, and then everybody wanted one. And then what else? Though? Does any you know that Toyota FJ. I

don't think they make them anymore, but people love those. If you had to pick something, I mean, it's just and for think about this. You get a company like BMW comes out with the X models and they make them all the same, just different sizes exactly, I mean, and then you have like Tesla, Tesla the X models a little different. It's kind of fun with those doors and weird, but in general, in general, folks, I mean, seriously, does anything. That's why a lot of

people are turning to trucks, although trucks aren't exciting either. Any any exciting trucks people anything. I mean when I say exciting me, just come out, you know, just look a little different, you know, I mean cool coolness. But am I wrong? I mean, do you Mark? Are you excited? Or he might be working on YouTube. I'm not sure, but Mark, are you excited? What are you got on here right now? He's not? Well Okay, let me ask you guys, do

any trucks really excite you? I mean, I know you have trucks you like, but anything really excite you? As far as body lines and whatnot, They're all similar interior. I like, even if they had a great interior. You know what, you know, I'll tell you what the the last the last thing in trucks. Two things in trucks that made a little bit of a ripple in the market. When Dodge came out years ago with the fenders. Remember they kind of took out the box look and gave you

some fenders on the front. That was pretty cool, you know. And then when Ford came out with the big giant grill up front with the big fr D. I mean, you make a little change like that and people go crazy. And of course, let's see, I don't know, we don't like but I mean the body line is a beautiful car, but I mean reliability wise, it's terrible. Which one is that? Oh? Now you know what that is one of the ones that stands out a little.

The sport is beautiful, it is, but they're pieces of crap. Anyway, Brian wants to talk about Breckinridge. Let's go. Let's talk about that. Hey, by the way, anything you want to talk about. And I am monitoring messaging at LinkedIn and next door or so also my YouTube morons and I think we are up now on YouTube and so so what's going on? Let's talk what is happening with you and Breckinridge? What's going on with that? Hey? Tom? Yeah, So we stay in a resort.

You know, we sayed last year, first year this year. When we checked in, we you know, everything was kind of running like that, tons of checks and stuff. My wife and daughter noticed it. You know, some some internal doorjams, you know, little damage, a little separation in the doorjam. And now where where were you checking into I mean, was this a place for just a few nights or what? Yeah, that's for the week and it's called the Ranahan. It's part of a high vacation

club. So we're actually, you know, renting from some people that have a you know, timeshare, herpes and got it, got it your person. So you you were renting, you were renting, you were renting one of these condos for a week, and what what's wrong? You noticed a few things wrong with it? Right? Well, I mean that's if you thinks wrong. But we didn't think any think of the internal doorjam stuff, you know, and uh, they didn't even think about reporting it. I

didn't know it's my wife and got it in. But now it says I'm gotting home. I can alert on my credit card that I got an additional five hundred dollars charge and I called in their charge you need for damage that already there and oh really that sucks. Man. Wait a minute, So you're being charged for something you noticed when you went in. Yep, and we because we didn't actually bring it up to them because again I said, it was this internal How can I guess how much are you being charged?

Brian? Five hundred dollars coly, holy crap, no fooling it. Put it put a stayed on. Actually a wonderful, wonderful family vacation, you know, with some wonderful Well they're in a beautiful and a beautiful area. But I guess my real question I want Mark's advice on this because you're a pro right you mean, wait, wait, a pro at? What you mean small claims court or damaging places? You're a funny man. No, No, Mark's a pro. At at is the bad word to use for

small claims court? And and what that would be the place to go? However, what is your to what damage? Is it the doorjam that you notice that they're charging you for, that's what they're saying. Then you sent pictures, nfel. I emailed those over as soon as got those at hell, can you tell me what what is that doorjam damage? If you could

tell me, is it something that somebody kicked in or something? No, all I can see is that they never it's separating the doorjam was actually separating from the wall a little bit, which I don't even know how on earth. To me, it looks more like deferred maintenance or hey, you know the buildings shifted and so of the Doorjam's not really square, and there's a little bit of a separation. They sent like six or seven pictures a different things. Some of them can't tell what they are. One of them is

even like the fire of the smoke detector is separating at the ceiling. We won't even have the ommer reaching. Wait they charged you for that too. Well, that's a picture they sent to us. And wait the smoke alarm too. Yeah, and it's but you can see that there's tape on it as well. So at one point they look like the hand that taped up. I wonder, man, this is weird. I wonder they if they get everyone with it. That's what I'm wondering to righte Hey, you know

they failed to report it. Well, boy, gives you that question. You know, this guy might have done all the damage himself and he's just trying to get us. But tell me why he would I don't know, why would he damage I don't know jam like that. I want to see that. I want to shady. I mean, do you guys hear that shadiness? Mark? Mark? You know, just because you know what I'd like to see it. Sus, did you did you send that, Tommy sending it now? Okay, let's take a look at it over the break.

Hold on a second, just hold on, Brian, we'll come back and look at it. Linda. What's going is this? Is this? Linda? I couldn't. I can't find that picture of that of that radio, the Bull radio. Yeah, I'm I mean, did you send us a page Susan? Did we ever get a picture of that? I know they said they sent it to me, but I can't find it anywhere. Hey, Tommy, that must have been when Kelly was on. I can look through my emails here in a month. Sorry, you know we don't

have to, Linda. I don't want to belabor this with you. We want to buy that radio for you. And I've been looking for bows, but there's so many of them. I want to ask you something. The movers broke their radio. They're in their nineties and they want another radio. The movers don't acknowledge they did the damage, right, Linda, they don't acknowledge. Its correct, That is correct, and you're positive they broke it,

yes, because it was completely fine before it was wrapped up. They wrapped it in shrink wrap, which really doesn't protect it that much, but they were loading up their van. It was in the evening and it was dark, and they had no choice but to do that. And when we unloaded it and plugged in the radio, my husband noticed the bottom was broken and there was no shun We plugged it in and turned it. By the way, I'm glad that you called because I did have some questions. Does

the color matter to you? I noticed there were some darker and they don't maybe always have that in the beige. Does the color matter to you? No, the color does not matter to us. Okay, as long as it's essentially the same radio. Yes, okay, dear, thank you Linda. Hey Tom, I found those pictures. I'm sending them to you. All right, good Linda. I'll renew this effort here. Hi Tom Martino here three O three seven one three talks seven one three eight two five five. We're gonna talk about your problems, questions, complaints. We were talking to Brian and Brian said that he stayed at a place and was charged for damages he did not do. I'm wondering what people do to protect themselves. They need to take pictures I guess of any damage they see when they get in there so it's timestamped, and then immediately let people know

he didn't do that. So Mark, what do you think do you think they'll just pay up if he filed the small claim? What do you think that they would do? I'll help him out with that. But honestly, I think what we do is let's have Scott call over there and see if he can't figure something out for the guy. And if that doesn't work, I'll help Brian out. I'll I know he lives, and I think he lives in Arkansas, so I'll kind of send him the paperwork and tell him

kind of how to fill it out. Yeah, he does. You can't tell by his weird his weird verbiage. He lives in Arkansas. I think he married his cousin. Well, Mark, you got to understand something. To me, he sounds like Einstein. But I'm with you every day, yea, So, Professor Brian, we are going to let Mark help you. And uh, well, let's have a question though, and I'm going to contest the charge of my credit cards. And I know Mark always says, you know, you know, you know, breach of contract. You

know, I like to keep it short and simple as well. It does not necessarily breach a contract. What do you think, Well, it kind of is. Everything can be really put under there. I mean it kind of is the contract is that they would charge you for damages. You didn't do the damages, so it is kind of they swipe the card. Brian, I believe I swiped on site, But yeah, you're gonna I don't think that put the hold on. I wouldn't. I guess I would actually.

I mean, you can contest it. They're going to give you a provisional credit, but it's going to bounce back. There's no doubt. Man. I know, I know, I know it won't go through. But are you Are you dealing with the owner or some kind of agency like vacation rentals I've been doing. I've been dealing with the manager at the at the at the Ranahan Resorts there directly and frankly, she's so does he sue the owner or does he sue Ranahan? What does he? Who does he sue

whoever he charge? Okay, listen, Brian, We're gonna have Deputy Dollar call over there to see what proof they have, because I venture to say the previous tenants got charged as well. That's just my gut. And then if that doesn't work, we'll proceed with the small claims card I personally would not. I mean, you can contest that. I don't know if I would. Gabe has a question on Corvette. Today is a car day, So Dave, what gives? What's happening? I love corvettes. Last night

we're looking at Valet. As we're walking in, we see these, these McLarens, these other cars. And I took my daughter out for her birthday, and I see I see the Corvette and the McLaren and Lamborghini and other things, and that Corvette looks just as nice as any one of them. The best dollar value in the world the new Corvette. I guess it's the C eight platform. Gabe. I don't know if you're asking about new or use go ahead, Yes, Tom, I have a twenty fifteen Corvette Stingery

Ragtop. I bought it with twenty thousand miles. Now I have fifty three thousand miles. And my tork two went out, okay, and I took it and got a fix. That's four thousand dollars. Now. I got a little noise in the front. It started when I picked the car up. It's sound great. Now I have a noise in the front, and I thought it was Mike what did you have done the tork tube? And now there's a noise so that you know, guys, we always have this

expression, once they touch it, they own it. However, that's too much of a coincidence. Don't you think of front end noise after getting the torques the torque tube? What do you think? Guys? Did I start up immediately upon getting it back? I'm sorry? What was that the noise? Was it a parent immediately when you got it back? No? It was good to COVID twenty miles and I, my wife and I jumped into it. Four rag came to the stoplin Nix. You know there's a noise.

That's the car in front of me. Now, but wait a minute. After twenty mile that's pretty immediate. Was it twenty miles? Right? And well that's that's immediate. Did you drive back? Did you call him? Yeah? He told me to drive it. You listen to it, and he goes drive a five hundred more miles and bring it back. Then I went to pulled him up. I got two hundred miles on him and he's towing me a driver another five hundred miles. A shit quiet itself down.

You think it's apparance in the lineup. Things don't go away like that, do they, Guys? Is that wise information? Not in the torque to No, there's no break in or anything to that. You know, you need to get it checked. How much did you spend on that work? Four thousand? Listen, that's a lot of money. Man. Well the parts alone were probably three, weren't they. What I would do is this, I would take it somewhere independent to look at it and get it

diagnostic. Then I would say, if it's something related to what they did, and it's minor and you can get it fixed, get it fixed. If not, if it's something major with that spent four grand, then you have ammunition. I mean if we call them, what's the name of the place, a Corvette Connection? Okay, we don't get a lot of complaints about them. You guys know anything about Corvette Connection. I'm not familiar with them. I've never heard of them. Never heard of them either. How

long have they been around? Twenty six years? Are you on a court? Are you yeah? They have good ratings. Are you on a forum? Oh, an owner's forum? You know, I'm on an owner forum for everything I have, you know, you know, like the owners get together and discuss their vehicles. They discuss like Tesla has one, BMW has one, Mercedes has one, they all have one. Fifth Corvette Tom and this is the first C seven I had, and I looked them up.

I guess that's the main problem with this car. The exhaust burns up that rubber you joined and tears up the bearings at twenty thirty thousand miles. Well, if that's the case. Though, if that's the case, did they replace that stuff? I don't know anything about it. When when they put in this this bar did they replace all that? Right? They're rubber and say it's also runner right down the middle and that's under in a tube and it says sheet that tears up the rubber and the baron cooks the bearings.

And this is a common problem with Corvette I understand. Is that why you took it in to begin with for that common problem? Why you took it in from my brake to get fixed? And he turned it off and I had a rumble sounding turned up carbonyl head. That's a gridline jumping around because the rubber uge lines are so he changed him, right, and you have an invoice that shows that right. And that's the four thousand dollars. That's what costs you four grand, four grand rebuild it. He rebuilt your shack.

Okay, okay, so what do we do without proof? If we call him like, they're going to say, what I mean just I mean, well, well, actually you can call him and say I talked to some mechanics and they say, that's ridiculous that I drive more. It sounds like the guy wants you to put more time on it, to get farther away from his repair. And then he says, well, now it's too late. That's what it sounds like to me. Well he warrants you for

thirteen thousand miles or three months. Oh that's funny, he said, he'll we open it again. But I asked him yesterday. I said, if it causes more damage, it's on you, right, No, it's not on him. It's not on him. Man, I'm going to tell you that it's not on him. That's why. Here's what I would do. I'm going to say it one more time, I get it analyzed right now by someone independent. Sorry, that's what I would do. It's going to

cost you a few bucks, but you have to do it. And then you know, next time, you're not so fast to go to Corvette Connection. If they made a mistake like that, I'd also put an online review on it, And then if I were you, Gabe, I would get on a corvette forum. There are tons of them. Forms are one of the most valuable things you can do. Man, I'm telling you. I'm on forums for engines, I'm on forums for aircraft, I'm on forums for

cars. Any of you guys get on owner forums. I can't. I don't know if I can see Kevin clicking a keyboard over there doing that, but maybe he does, do he Kevin Well, he's full of insults today, he is. He's taking everybody out. No, I just all the time. Yeah, there's there's owner websites, There's all kinds of stuff. There's yeah, oh definitely. Sometimes you get a mystery problem you're searching around.

You've actually touched in on these forums that you're not part of. Mark you got on forums like Tesla's well, John Deere, that would be the only one I can think of. Check him out Denverregion dot com. All right, Denise, you have an og A roof

issue. Denise, welcome, what's going on? Yes, Hi Tom, Hey, I have listened to your show for a very long time. Thank you. The situation I feel needs to be shared. I don't think there's much that can be done for my son's community, but I want the public to be aware of it, and it could be something. It could be something we already discussed. Let's let's talk about it. So what's going on in his community? Okay, my son purchased a town home in a community

out in our beda five years ago. Okay, it's a brand new community as of five years ago. They have I would estimate eighty units and so he my son and his neighbors probably don't have much recourse. But his neighbor informed him they live in a pod. You know what I mean by a

pod in a tom townhouse community where there's four units in each pod. Yeah, well we call them buildings, but go ahead, it's fine, Yeah, okay, anyway, they're A B and C and D. But the owners in A and B are having major leaks from the roof into their units. And this is in the Sun's pod, right, No, yes, yes, it's in his pod. It hasn't hit his unit yet, but the I get it in the sun. Yeah, in your son's building. She uh, in the Sun's building, there are two units suffering leaks.

Go ahead, right, very very bad leaks like they have rusting, uh, heating, HVAC units and that sort of thing. Yeah, So they a roof for So they contacted the you know they just bought these five years ago. Yeah, the builder said, I'm sorry, but your warranty for that roof was one year. Yeah, Brent, that's right. There's nothing we can do for you. If you want, you can contact the manufacturer. Well, the assessment if first of all, you got to get it

inspected and get some professional opinions. Second of all, if it turns out to be a roof problem the shingle itself, which ninety percent of the time it's not, or ninety eight percent of the time it's more installation and flashing. But let's say it's a manufacturer's problem. They will replace the shingles, but they won't do the labor. So what you first need to start out with is a professional opinion. Oh, you guys are shooting blind. You

have no idea what's wrong with the roof. Second of all, if it came from a hailstorm that they never got fixed. You only had one year to report it, so they're out of luck. It could be that the pod will need a new roof. Now here's the good news. Depending on how the HOA is written. Normally, a roof on one pod is shared by all pods even though it's one pod. But sometimes they could make each pod stand separately for capital assessments. I don't know how those are written,

so you got a lot to find out. The first thing is a professional opinion. The second thing is then finding coverage. If there's no coverage, then the third thing is looking to the bylaws to see who is responsible for that pod. Is it the entire community or is it just that pod? But it won't It most likely will not be an ensurable thing. Okay, Well, the gentleman in Pod two or B, should I say he already contacted a roofer that went up and the roofer saw like gaps in the shingles,

missing shingles, things like that. It sounds like it's probably going to be relatively easy to fix. But I don't know what roof for this guy had go up there, and I trust very few roofers, so I would say you have to call one of our roofers before I'd believe it. But you guys do whatever you want. Tom Yeah, your preaching to the choir. The first thing I said to the neighbor yesterday was really, how did you find this roofer? So it's like a friend of a friend? I

said, okay, and I met the roofer yesterday. Okay. Did the roofers say the whole thing has to be redone or he can fix it? Of course he's saying the whole thing had to be redone. Okay, I would get Excel Roofing. Let's just cut to the chase. Call Excel Roofing and ask them to come out and look at it. That's it and you can do it. You don't have to wait for the neighbor to do it. By the way, I don't even think you guys get to say who does it? I think it's an HOA thing. Did you guys contact the

HOA? First person they contact is should I say organization with the HOA? They said, hey, we don't have anything to do with roofie and that's you. You got to deal with the building. Well, you know, first you look, Okay, remember I said you have to look at the bylaws. I've never heard yet yet of an h a of an hoa community of town homes where the HOA has nothing to do with the roof. Okay, I've never heard of it. So you're going to have to educate yourself

because it sounds like you're around a bunch of dead beats and morons. No, I shouldn't say morons because my YouTube morons. I insult them every time I do that, and uh, that's really a badge of honor. I would say they're a bunch of idiots. So you got to educate yourself. Call us back. We'll be happy to help you. Trail three seven to one three talk seven one three eight two five five. Louri, you have an auto hell claim? Question? What is it? Lauri? Hi,

Tom, thank you so much for taking my call. Yes, I had a hail claim a few years ago. It was on five twenty nine one. My question is how long would I have to get that work completed on both my home well completed? You can have it. You can have it completed whenever you want. I think they'll keep the claim open in three four years. It depends on your contract. But you have to report it and file a claim within the first year, Okay, which I did. I

did file the claim in January of twenty two. I just haven't had the work completed. Well, you better make sure that your particular contract doesn't have a deadline. Okay, okay, make sure it doesn't have a deadline. And did you already yelow damage? Did you already get paid on it? So they wrote the initial check and then said once I have the work completed that they would pay for any You know the difference between the actual the depreciation.

Who is your insurance carrier at the time, American Family on the home and Geico on the cars? Well is this for car or home? Both? And you don't have either of those turance companies? Now I don't. All right, I'm Tom Martino, and we are going to go back to the phones because we have now we're waiting for Compass to talk to

Laurie about this, this insurance claim. I want to let people know what happens when they they get paid the first check and don't have the work done and years have passed. We'll see what happens. Lucretia, I think that's right. I'm sorry, Lucretia. Was that how I pronounce it or how you pronounce your name? Whatever? You called about a day eating scam a while back, and it was terrible and I have all of your information still, by the way, and I've been looking into it. I really have,

because I wanted to do a posting on it. We used to call those articles, you know on the internet and on all the news sites I do, but haven't done it yet. And to bring people up to speed, what happened with Lucretia is she started snapchatting a guy who contacted her on Snapchat, and to make a long story short, he said he was a marine stationed in Turkey. He lost his wallet and credentials. He needed her bank account to deposit money. But the problem is she well, not the

problem. But she thought, well, you know, I'm not going to give him my bank account, but I'll open a new one and i won't put any money in it, so I'm not going to be in danger of him stealing from me. So she did have her radar up a little, so she did this new account and then he sent her a check to deposit and then draw out from to presend to him. And make a long story short, the bank calls and says the check was bad. You owe us money. Where do we stand today? Hello? Yes, where do we

stand today? He actually was able to deposit some money into that account directly, directly? Well, what was so? Hold on a second, though, hold on, hold on, Lucretia, what's unusual about that? He already we already know he can write bad checks. Well, I was kind of curious because I found out that he deposited money. Why the heck couldn't he withdraw? He was asking me to withdraw. I'm going to tell you. I'm going to tell you why. Okay, it's your account, it's

not his. But how can he deposit? I can deposit money right now in your account? It's easy. Well, so they they you gave him, You gave him the routing number, and you gave him the account number, didn't you. Well, what I was going to say was that they actually said that I have added him to my account. I didn't even know the Sergio. There's a new name on there. Wait a minute, here's what I'm saying, Lucretia. I don't want to confuse you. Whoever he

is. It doesn't matter if I have your routing number, if I have your account number, I can send you money. There is no approval needed. I don't have to be on the account. I want to make that clear. Right now, I can say I can actually even take money out of the account. But that is another story. Right now, this scammer, this scammer, whoever it is, they probably impersonated you to add them to the account for other reasons. Now why would they be added for other

reasons? Here's why, because if they want to do a zel or something, they not a zel. Well yeah, yeah, zells are certain transfers. They have to be on the account to make online transfers. That's probably why they did that. But Lucretia, because you're on the account, whether he's added to it or not, whenever money is missing, you will be held responsible. What I suggest you do is close the account and you take all the money out, but don't spend it because that money they're going to

want back as soon as they figure out as a scam. But at least close the account to protect yourself. But I need to know about this new name, so hang on for a second. I want to know that new name might be a name he had to scams. You go with a sure thing Denver's Best Roofer excel roofing dot com. You don't pay a cent until you're content. Now, Jeremy, I'm going to sum up the problem. Laurie had two different carriers, one for the car, one for the house. She had hail damage on both. She put in two claims and got paid the first check. I think, and Laurie, you correct me, but I'm going to go there. And then she wants

to know how long does she have to get the repairs done. The storm was in twenty twenty one. She filed the claim shortly after and got paid. So, Laurie, do I have that right? Basically? That's correct? Thankful? Okay, So, Jeremy, how much time do they give you after you get your ACV check, and that's called the actual cash value check, and then you get the replacement cost, which is more than which the difference there after you get the work done. Jeremy, how long does

she have under most contracts? Yeah, most contracts actually aren't going to limit that time. What they're really focusing on now is filing the claim within twelve months months of the damage, so they're not going to give her a hard time. Even if she no longer has those policies she has since moved on. Yeah, that shouldn't matter. She just has to get the damage actually

fixed for both of those to get that recoverable depreciation. But as long as she was covered on the data the storm, which she obviously was, and they've paid out some, I don't think. I mean, you don't want to go too long, so there's there's no reason to necessarily wait if you don't have to. But yeah, once you're that far down they might have closed the claim at this point, they could reopen it, so that shouldn't be an issue. So yeah, I don't anticipate where she's at in the

process there'll be any issues. Laurie, who do you have now just to have cur who do you have now out of curiosity, I have acuity. Now, let me explain what your problem is. If you don't get the work done, even though the previous companies aren't going to hold you accountable, you're going to have a problem if there's another storm and you have more damage. Right, Jeremy, Absolutely, And that's that's a big reason you don't want to wait, because if there is another storm, it gets really muddy

as far as how that works. So please keep that in mind, Laurie. It will complicate it. In fact, it'll diminish the claim sometimes wipe it out. Okay, So Compass Insurance, thank you. They do the insurance checkups. Remember you call and say am I paying too much? Am I under insured? Am I over insured? Do I have insurance? You know? Three h three nine nine six nine thousand. Thank you very much, Jeremy. Okay, let's keep going here, and Laurie, like I

said, don't hesitate. I would get that done. Please get that done. Hey, we just got a gift. What is that Mark? Read that card? It actually was to all of us, including Kevin and Jeff Or is gonna call him jeffin So there was a delivery. Because usually Mark, what does it mean, come on now, you know when they say there's a delivery, Oh my god. I was telling these guys I said, well, I was pretty sure we're getting served. Yeah, that's right, that's right. Happy Easter, Tom Mark, sus Kelly, Shannon,

Kevin, and Jeff from a YouTube moron Enjoy. So whoever it is is probably watching us on YouTube right now. Really, and it's a big What's in It? Tuesday? And I didn't even open up to guests. It's so cool. So it's like Freeze Dride candy. It's from Sister Sweet Treats. And there's like Freeze Dride candy, Pop Rocks, Rocky Road, Cherry mash Licorice, some Roundup candy. Well, this is cute. I don't like the last part they put on the card though, What that says?

Ps Mark is so much better looking than Tom. Can you take Tom off the It's horrible? Okay, I can see that. So just what just happens over the years. You know, I'm supposed to age like a fine wine. But that's a ripoff. Anyway, Let's keep going. And Lucretia, this is a sad story. But to bring people up to date, she met a guy in Snapchat. He said he was a marine in Turkey.

She opened up a bank account for him. He deposited bogus checks or one bogus check that she drew out money and sent to him, And now she's getting hounded for that because it was a bad check. So since that time, he deposited more money directly. Is she gone now? Oh? She didn't want to hear the truth. I told her to go cancel that account. People, there are so many twists on dating scams you're not going to believe or big scams. Listen to this other one. This one guy

that called us yesterday. I felt so bad for this kid. Sounded like a young man. Brauh h. What was his name? He was buying a place, all right, And a day after he gave all his information to his mortgage broker and real estate broker, he was hacked and a bunch of accounts were opened in his name. How did the information get out? We don't know. But you know what happened next, right, What happened next was terrible because he put a freeze on his credit and all of that,

so he thought, I'm covering myself. Then he gets a phone call. The phone call says it's coming from the IRS. In fact, it was a correct number, so he thought, this really is the IRS. And they tell him, listen, you were hacked. Somebody opened up a bank account your name and put several hundreds of thousands of dollars in it. What you need to do is now help us shut down this fraud. Unless

you're part of it. He says, I'm not part of it. So what they do is they tell him to go and draw the money out, take it out, and when he takes it out, he should take it out in one hundred dollars bills and to make sure that and what he can do is take them out. Then he's going to go deposit that with the government. The government's going to check the bills to verify their part of the fraud, and then they will send him back his money. It's so terrible,

So he draws out his money. Makes no sense, none of it. But he said they were so convince. Where he had to deposit the money is crazy. He had to deposit the money in an ATM machine at a gas station in some bad part of town. And so he does it. They make him stay on the phone the whole time because they say, listen, man, if you don't stay on the phone, we can't help you. And Colin thought he was going to be arrested for fraud of he

didn't do it. The end result, he exhausted his bank account of fifteen thousand dollars, his entire life savings, and put it into an ATM. Then they said these police officers would be in touch with him, and of course when he called the police department, no such officers existed. There was no call from the IRS, and his money is gone. Is that a sad story or what? Holy crap? Three oh three, seven to one three talks seven one three eight two five five. I have something very interesting

coming up. It's called the Bidenomics calculator. It's not a political discussion. It's a mathematical discussion. This calculator purports to be an accurate assessment of what things cost four years ago and what they cost now. You click on it and it does the pricing. It's kind of fascinating. I think it's called biden Mart. If you want to look at it, you can Biden hyphenmart

dot com. We'll be looking at that. And again, this is a mathematical thing because at the beginning of the show, we joked a little I might have been off the air, and I said, things are going great. Unemployment is at an all time low, the stock markets at an all time high. So how can we say that the economy is doing bad? All major indicators show the economy is doing okay. We do have inflation, yes, rising gas prices yes, but everything else, So what does it

mean? Wages are at an all time high? Is it good? Is it bad? I'm not asking are you Democrat? Are you Republican? I'm asking you is the economy better than it was under the previous administration? Biden says yes, let's talk about that coming up. I'm Tom martine Go with a sure thing Denver's best roofer Excel Roofing dot com. You don't pay a cent until you're content. Hi, Tom Martino, you're a troubleshooter, Cliff. The economy good or bad? Welcome? Hey Tom, Hey, Hey, I say it's like you said. On paper, it looks

great, but I don't think people fail in reality. I mean, if you look at insurance costs now out like twenty thirty percent. Oh, insurance is up fifty to sixty percent. Yeah, it's crazy. I have commercial insurance. The min went up from it was about eleven thousand last year, that's thirty thousand this year. Now, inflation would be the one thing no one can brag about. Chicken went up ninety one percent. This is the Biden calculatity. Guys. Have you guys ever heard of the Denny's Grand Slam?

Yeah? How much? How much do you think of Denny's Grand Slam? Is an aurora right now? What did it used to be? Like four ninety nine or something. I thought it was two ninety nine or three ninety nine. That's too cheap. The most reason I think was four ninety nine. It's twelve dollars and seventy nine cents for the I'm not talking like the Super Slam. We're talking the Grand Slam original. Hey, what do you think though? Do you think and I want to ask this, Cliff,

if you're still there showing man, do you think people? Is it even fair to blame one man for inflation? I'm want to ask that straight up. I don't think it's fair to blame Biden. I just I blamed government for the policy on Covido long shutdowns and i'm necessarily unnecessary mandates and uh, you know obviously they've given out all that pandemic money. Now we're paying

the cost for that. And you know, interest rates are high. No one wants to expand because they don't want to borrow money at this price. It's just bad. I mean, what's the annoying thing is that that's say telling us, you know, you don't believe your checkbook, believe us things are great, They're not. Thank you very much, well said, thank you. Clip three all three seven one three talk seven one three eight five five. Michael, what's going on with you? This is Michael with a

friend and a housing issue. Michael. Go ahead, Hi, Michael, Hi, do you hear me? I? Sure do? Okay, great, I'll be getting to wonder if I had to call in a different number. Okay, what's going on? Man? Well, this elderly lady, he comes in at my workplace. I work at Sprout Mark and Apple call Fax in Colorado. Okay, and he just turned about seve any going on seventy one. She's typically in a a motorized wheelchair. She seems, for her age and what she's been through the hose to be quite lucid. She

does have some minor problems, but I'm more to say lucid. You know, she she's got couple of degrees in her past, you know, and she's she's so keen, and she knows how to keep records, yeah, to her benefit using she knows how to use her phone smartphone for recording conversations and all that kind of stuff. Well, sure she does. She's seventy eight, she's not dead, that's right. She's got a spunky attitude. She has a dumb friends league companion, emotional support animal, and she's been

through a lot. And the big thing with her is is having some severe DHA problems, never housing authority problems. And what turns out to be in is there was a or she called is an abatement C and it's it's an illegitimate cheek that was placed upon her. Okay, hold on now, now, wait a minute. She lives in Denver Housing Authority subsidized housing. And what is this fee? Is it added every month to a rent? Or is it a one time fee? What are we talking about? The one

time c that actually started like twelve years ago? Okay, mind you okay, and they wait wait, wait wait, she's been paying this twelve years yes, because she can only have four or twenty five dollars a month on top of her rent, so she has been wait wait wait, the one time fee, let me get this straight, was assessed twelve years ago and she's been paying on it ever since. Yes, what it was originally forty nine hundred dollars and he's gotten down it to twenty three hundred dollars. Do

you understand? But do you understand? What? What are we talking about? Though? What what do you mean? Like twelve years ago she told you a one time fee was assessed. What was it for? Well, that's where the little bit of interesting things on here. Yeah, what does it say? Do you have the original notice for this fee? She does? I don't have in my possession. She but what did she say? It was for, she said, let's see exactly here that she gives out

names too. Okay, who didn't. I just need to know what is it for? It said here as well as DJ's legal for now that forced the end quotes about of batement fee charge of We're dying one hundred dollars plus back twelve years ago. The fee being flash was set back then was forced verbally with a threat flash reality that if I did not agree to pay it with my choice of what I can put on top of my monthly rent church Hurls, which back then was your dog at the time, will be evicted

in seventy two hours. Okay, Michael, I still need an answer to what was the fee it goes? I from what I can gather she told me, is that have to do with not way call it. They have inspections like failing an inspection. That's the only thing that can be What are you talking about failing an inspection? Is this a home she rents an apartment or is this something she owns? No, No, it's apartment to the DHA. She ring you on regular But I don't understand, So hold on

a second. Another thing. Who does she pay the fee to every month to the DHA on top of a regular wreck. But we don't know what the reason is. Can can we talk to her directly really without any information, like like, I don't even understand why anyone would be assessed a forty nine dollars fee ten years ago or twelve years ago. Well that's that's because I think, quite frankly, I don't know money under the table because they convert. Yeah, but but that would be somebody who was there, has

been there for the last twelve years. It doesn't make sense. No one wants to wait twelve years for their money at twenty five dollars a month. Well, they changed it from an abateenanc fee into a maintenance repayment. See okay, but maintenance repayment for what did she have? Damages that she caused? Now she's passed all of her and wait a minute, and how do you know what they changed it to. That's what she told me. And then in a text we bot TEXTA. She's didn't let me a letter to

me and voicemails and I've seen her in person as well. Okay, we need to contact listen, we need to talk to her directly. Then we need to get in touch with the housing authority and just find out what the hell it is. I mean really, I mean she's been paying ever this what is it down to now? Twenty two two, three hundred and fourteen dollars? This is crazy. I mean this woman could very well be getting ripped off, yes, exactly or not, I mean or not. Well,

she's quite avid about it. And even though just recently I say that, you know, she she she talked to the third person like her, like her, zip her, what would be her daughter, like send me a letter, but it was actually her. Okay, but she's very very I mean, and all of them. Do you think there's a Do you think there's some kind of scam going on and somebody at the housing authority is doing this to a lot of people? Yes? I do, matter of

fact, heating okay, And I just mentioned to her. I went down the Senior Resource Center, okay, down in just north west of her visit the day of this last week. You told me about hey, because Mary was complaining, Hey, I haven't had jets in the last you know, two years. Okay. Well I thought, well, you know, I gave her the number, and apparently now she's untacking a HUT because HUT is over a d eighth. By the way, I don't think it's a scam

for one reason. I think it might be a mistake. But I don't think it's a scam for one reason, no one in the right mind. I mean, she's paying it with her rent to Denver Housing Authority. So I mean for somebody to collect that money, they would then have to steal from Denver Housing. And if they wanted to make money, they would just steal from Denver Housing. There would be no reason to assess this to her. They could just embezzle money. So it doesn't sound like a scam because

the twenty five dollars is added into her rent. Is that correct? It was only an agreement that she verbally had a make. Hey, I understand that. But when the rent comes due, and let's say the rent is fifteen hundred, she pays fifteen hundred twenty five dollars, Is that right? Well, because she said an eight, whatever she pays, she adds twenty five hundred to her rent. Hey, Tom, here's what I think happens.

I don't think anyone knows what it's for, and she's probably been paying it and they don't even keep account of it, and they don't even know she overpaid Tom. Someone called in. I've been on the phones, but someone called in who was listening to the call, and said it's for her pet. It's a monthly pet fee they charge and if she doesn't pay it, well hold on. No. What doesn't make sense about that though, is she said it was a one time fee of forty nine hundred and she

has a balanced due. So if it was one if it was a monthly fee, why would there be a balanced of twenty three hundred bucks. I don't know, unless it's just been adding up over months. I didn't hear. That's not a lady. I don't understand this, do you? And Michael? I need to ask another question. If you know twelve years ago when she first got this bill, how long had she been there that I don't know. I don't know. Can we talk to her directly or will

she be she talks to third person? He said, that could be interesting. Let's get her on now, I'm serious, man, this is I am too. Let's get her on and ask her what it's about. But you understand, Michael, did you call housing for her to find out what's going on? No, no, do you know it could Let me just put it this way. It could be a mistake. And if it's a mistake, well, wait a minute, it could have been this. Wait a minute. They said something about evicting her and her dog. It could

be that. Back then her dog did damage the apartment. They fixed it and said you have to pay for it. That has happened before, and it's happened even with Section eight. You have it for forty nine dollars. Come on, I don't know you're right away. There's no way you're right. You're right probably, but we got to investigate this. Can okay, sue see if you can get this woman on the phone. Three oh three seven one, three eight two five five Go with a sure thing Denver's Best

Hello Tom Martino three oh three seven one three talk three all three seven one three eight two five five. I'm kind of anxious to figure out what this Google complaint is, Mike, what's happening? Hey Tom? Thanks sticking my call byden inflation affecting me? Well, just real quick a side note. Yeah, my mortgage payment was thirty three eighty a month, and I just got my new bill, and now with property taxes and my insurance going up, now my mortgage is four thousand dollars. Holy crap. Yeah,

yes, I am shopping my insurance. But I haven't made any claims on my except for a hail claim two years ago, like everybody else did. But the bottom line is, I'm just saying, like, how do people live with a six hundred and fifty dollars increase unexpected in their life? You know? And unbeknownst to me the day before that, I bought my wife a new car, So it wasn't quite I wasn't quite expecting them, you know, to be hit twice with a car payment and then almost seven hundred

dollars increase in mortgage. You know what, I understand what you're saying. Everyone has expenses going up, and it's all relative. I mean, we all have more expenses. I want to know this, though, Do you blame personally? And I'm curious about this because very seldom do people talk to people. They always read the news. But do you personally blame the Biden administration or Biden? Do you? I absolutely do not. I blame Democrats.

I became Their tax and regulation is costing everybody dearly. That's that's well, his house went up, person his property tax went up because of our governor and all the Democrats in the legislature. That's the exact reason they went up. That's not like hearsay they did it. And yeah, I don't blame I don't blame Biden. I blame the Democrat Party and their their philosophy that that my money is their money and that it's okay to tax and regulate

me and everybody else to death. I mean I wish, I wish Democrats would tax Democrats and Republicans would tax Republicans, and I'd be much happier with the taxes that I have to pay if they If intelligent people made sound decisions that you know, truly, truly, you know, we're beneficial to my to me and my beliefs, and not to you know, stupid causes and and and BS regulations, you know. So my complain about Google, though, is this, I'm a Mac person, I have an iPhone. I

do not use Google. I don't care to use Google. I use Safari as my browser, and I use Duck Duck Go as my search engine. I do, however, use YouTube, and recently, normally I would be signed in and state signed in in my YouTube account on my MacBook, and it would only it would only sign me out if I signed out. Well, now recently every time I use is go to YouTube, they're automatically signing me out. Yeah, it's happening to me too. On Gmail and everything

else. We don't have general Gmail, but we have a branded account on Gmail. You know. The troubleshooter dot com doesn't do that. Mine does, real quick Tom. It's my issue though, what it's doing is it used to be that I could I could get a second verification, would be a text and a verification code, and I would be able to sign it into my YouTube. Now they remove that option, and they're demanding that I have a Google app on my phone. I know, I know, and

that's same thing with me. But let me ask you something. The same thing is happening to me in other words, like when I go into the station and I have to sign in, it's set, go to Gmail on your phone and hold it near the computer, and then when not not hold it just they didn't actually say that. They just said go to your Gmail account, have it handy, And then it comes up and says is this you signing on to this PC? And I say, yes, is that

what you're talking about. No, it's the fact that they want me to download the Google app that I don't have. I know it. I know that's what I'm saying. But I understand that and we're not going to change it. But do you have an Apple or an iPhone? Yes? Yes? And do you have an iOS or excuse me, an Os a Mac laptop? Yeah? I have a Safari my brow That's why I think it's

happening. Mark said, it's not happening to him, But it's happening exactly exactly what you say is happening, and I think it might be an update we took to access my phone and get into my mind. I know it, bro, I understand that. But they don't access your phone. They just want you to put your Gmail app on there. It's your second party verification. But you don't have to do it. If you don't want to use YouTube, you don't have to do it. Or you can use YouTube.

You don't have to have an account to use YouTube, is what I'm saying. You could just delete your account there. I used to be on YouTube all the time without having an account. You don't have to have an account to be on YouTube. You can just browse. I just I find it to be not appropriate that Google would attempt to violate my right of private or No, they're not. Mike, Mike listen, other Mike listen.

Man. I'm just trying to tell you, if you go to YouTube as a regular customer from anywhere, you don't need any account at all, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, you can do anything you want. If you have an account with Google, they can tell you whatever they want. They can tell you whatever they want. By the way, am I wrong here? Hold on? Hold on, hold on, hold on. You cannot no, no longer can you browse YouTube as just a person? Hold on? I just figured this out. I went to another computer,

a private computer, so you can't. You're right, you have to have an account. Hold on, so if you sign in? All right, I disagree with that. He's absolutely we Mark, go ahead and try to do it. Well, I'm trying to do it. I've been in lots of hotels where you just pull it up. I know, Mark, I'm trying. I swear to you. I went to an incognito tab. That means, you know, so you cannot log onto YouTube without an acount. Search something at the tap, search cars. I did an incognitio.

Okay, let me try that. Every thing comes up. Okay, let me try that again. I don't want to get out wrong information that matter. Just type in troubleshooter network you'll see hold on, hold on, you're right, you're right, I'm in, I'm in. You're right. Sorry, I just didn't search something. But okay, so here's what I'm saying. Then what I was saying is correct, and I'm anonymous. Right now, I'm a no one. I don't have an account. There's a signing

button on the top. Right. I did not do I did not sign in, and I can search anything I want on YouTube. Now if I want an account with Google, they are demanding that. If you want an account with them, they're demanding a second party verification, and they can demand it anyway they want, because it's their account. It's you're asking to have an account with them. You know, I don't. I don't. I don't know what the problem is if one of the if one of the things

they require is an app on your phone to verify your account. If you don't like it, you don't have to do it. Go with a sure thing Denver's best roofer Excel Roofing dot com. He said, the guy told me he needed a cat it was going to be a lot of money. He was looking into Wyoming options, going up there having it done. And then he then I suggested he go over to uh Kevin call can it shared an auto tech? Get it checked, make sure you need it. Jeff, what happened

then? Okay, So the main part of the story, I think is the fact that I got the diagnosis from Big O, which did six the co two. Yeah, so Jeff the car to share lot of tech. I paid for a diagnosis, and you know, a couple of things were wrong with our evening about but they said the O two sensor was they had a loose wire and on the female end. I'm like, you got to be kidded me. So I don't know if it was just installed. Wait a minute, so was did it turn out you did need a cat or

not? Well, well, here's the thing, I'm not sure yet. But the light went off. Checkings. The light was off. I left and they said, you know, drive it about eighty miles so it can start, you know, doing its thing, the sensor and everything reading correctly. Well, I wasn't four blocks off when it came back on. So I turned back around with that share lout of tech. They're like, what the hell? So they took the car back in. They were back there

for two hours looking at my car. They found a wire further down into the engine that looked to me, I'm not an expert, because you could see the flat end of the copper. It looks like what do you look like it was cut? Do you think these guys are big open that? I don't know anyway, right now, how does your where does your car stand? Right now? As far as the catalytical So they fixed that wire too, and they did not charge me for that. They spent like three

and a half hours man on a diagnosis. They did not charge me any extra money. Ever since I've left, it's been now a week and a half. Checked agin lights still off and the guy said, hey, I don't think you need a cattle converter, Jeff. I mean, I wonder if Kevin, Kevin, do your people know why that light still goes on? It's still honors staying off? Hell it's off? Has it come back

off? Yeah? It's off? Okay, bro Okay. So they solved the problem, all right, Well, and Big O would have had him dropping a couple grand the OQO convert the O two sister that Big O put in and my impression was insolved incorrectly. Yeah, because it had a still add a loose wire. No I did it? Did you go back and

tell Big Oh? No, because I'll just get too pissed. I would put a review online, though, for sure, I would absolutely put a review about Sheridan Order Tech solving the problem and how Big O was going to have you spending thousands of dollars already? Did it? Three oh three seven, one, three, eight, two five five. Let's talk to J. Hello, j I'm Tom. What's going on? Hey, So I have a question. Me and my wife separated seven years ago. We haven't

spoke to each other. We don't do taxes, we don't communicate, We don't even know where each other live or anything. Am I still married? Well? I'm not going to give you legal advice, but here's what I will tell you. Okay, based on past questions and answers we've gotten. It's a funny thing. You can declare yourself married and be married immediately. You cannot declare yourself divorced. It must be a legal It must be done legally within the state of jurisdiction. Okay, so listen, Jeef, Jeff,

go ahead. I'm sorry, go ahead. Yeah, we never signed any divorce papers, never went to court. You're not divorced. That's what I said. You can't. You can't declare yourself divorced. You can declare yourself married. Now here's the funny part. If you declare yourself married but no paperwork, and you guys want to leave each other, theoretically you could. Theoretically you wouldn't have to have a written divorce because no one would care.

Theoretically, however, if you ever just wait, man, if you ever declared yourself married and there was no paperwork, no marriage license, no record other than you declared yourself married, you had some accounts together, stuff like that, then you declared yourself divorce, meaning you just left each other. If either one of you kept it that way forever, no one would

care. However, one could come back and haunt the other if they want to, because you never had a divorce, but you did have a marriage. For example, in that case of you on the lottery, she should come back, she could come back and claim half of it. So it is it it is. But under the circumstances I told you. Under the circumstances, Jeff. Here's the other deal, though, it's always best to

get a written, sealed, signed, and divorce. Now, when you're married on paper, not just common law, but on paper, then you must get a divorce whether or not you guys want to be divorced or not. Now, how long has it been? Seven years? Okay? You know we have we have someone, we have someone we used to work with that is separated from his wife and he never got a divorce and they don't bug each other, but it's going to come back to haunt them in retirement,

in estate planning and everything they do. And if this guy makes any big money, he's screwed. But so, Jeff, you don't even know where she is. No, I had no idea. I have no idea. Maybe Commerance City. Oh so she it's not like she's in another state. Oh no, no, no, no, you need to get a divorce. And the good news is, since you've been separated for so long, well a god, let me put it to you this way. Holy crap, Jeff, do you own a home? No? Does she own

a home? I don't know. Do you have anything that you've attained over these last seven years you've been separated. My Gi Joe collection? What is it worth? I don't know a lot to me? Okay, Jeff, if you ever acquired any meaningful wealth, you may find it difficult to get divorced without her wanting money. Yeah. I see what you're saying. You need to contact her and say, listen, we should get divorced because if you win the lottery, or if I win the lottery, or if anything

goes on in our lives, it's going to be complicated. You really need to do that, Jeff, did you guys part friends? No? It was horrible. It was bad. So if you called her and asked for a divorce right now, actually you don't ask. You would just serve her for a divorce. I mean that's all you would do. Okay, Yeah, you can do You can do it, no fault divorce on your own. But you got to do it. And you may want to accompany the serving of the paperwork with a letter saying listen, I don't want this to

be adversarial. I'm just doing this to protect myself, yeah, or to protect each other whatever. Okay, And meanwhile, just hope you don't win the lottery, all right, you know. Otherwise, why is this coming to light now? Why seven years later on? Why are I wondering about it? Well because I'm moving in with my girlfriend and she's been bringing in you're a polygamist, No, I'm not. Never. Well, if he got married again, he would be, wouldn't he Tom? Seriously? Well

yes he would be. Is that weird? He can't get remarried right? Well, she doesn't want to get married, so it works out. Yeah, but it will not work out if let me put to you this way, it's not going to work out. If you ever attain any wealth, it's going to be a nightmare for you. Yeah, you get rid of her when you're poor. Okay, three oh three, seven one three, thank you for going seven and three talk seven one three eight two five five. We got more coming up. And I'll tell you that's a that seems

simple, but it's a serious problem. By the way, Grossman Wellness Clinic, I can't say enough about him. For two hundred and forty nine bucks, you can get your initial blood work check up, an exam from them two hundred and forty nine bucks, and then you decide if you want to

Hi Tom Martino here three oh three seven one three talk seven one three eight two five five. By the way, the top seven profitable corporations in the world, they exceed the gross

national product of almost every country, or yeah, exceed the wealth. I'm sorry, I don't know if it's the gross national product the wealth of almost every country in the world. The majority of countries in the world do not make what these seven most profitable country companies. That's impressive. Yeah, it's unbelievable. And you know what those seven companies are? Number one, it's quite a few of them. Number one, Apple, number two, Microsoft,

number three. Want to take a guess? Amazon, yep, Jeff, number four, Apple, ol bet which is Google? Number five Meta? Which is Facebook? Now six and seven are Chinese? Oh? What are they? Is it? What is that one? The Ali Baba Sally Baba and this one. I never heard of. Tencent Holdings it's a multinational Chinese corporation that has various Internet related products, entertainment, AI and technology.

Globally, it's called tensent te n C E n T. What's funny about the Too, Ali, Baba and Tencent is really they're owned by the Chinese. Now when you say that they're not owned by an industrialist in China, or is it the is it actually? Well? I do believe you're correct saying there probably is. Uh, there probably is a face or a group of people or a board. They do own it. But in reality,

the Chinese own it. They can shut it down in a heartbeat. Now, if you like beef, you would have paid four years ago, five years ago, seven to twenty five a pound for average, and now you pay thirteen twenty two. It's an eighty two percent increase. Again, these are What about milk? What do you think milk? Is? Milk? Right now? Is a forty seven percent increase? Almost forty eight percent? Now again, is it fair to blame a president? What about eggs?

They there, they're a staple. A thirty five percent increase, Everything across the board is going up. I liked what that one caller said. He goes I really don't blame the president. I blame democrats. I like that, and I'll tell you why. I'll give you another answer. I think he said government didn't. He always said democrats. Look at what Newsom did, like defect, it's Newsome. But whatever. In California when it came to bacon, do you know what he did? No, every cow or

I'm sorry, every pig has to have a certain amount of space. Now, so the pig farms had to drastically change, and that of course made Bacon go up a lot of money. Well, that's the same thing they did with the chicken farms. They have to have free range, free range, the ca have to be a certain size. Yeah, so when they pass stuff like that, I mean, ultimately, who pays for it? And then the funny part too is tom, Ultimately who does it effect?

We all pay for it. But it doesn't hurt you, It doesn't hurt me that much. It doesn't hurt these guys that we're paying three four bucks more for chicken. But who does it hurt the rancher? Well, it definitely hurts a random momb with three kids, you know, trying to feed kids. Yeah, people that are on that poverty line or the middle class that have a bunch of kids. You know, I would argue that every single dime and dollar spent in extra hurts everyone. And I mean it does

because whether you can afford it or not doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. It's money you don't have to put elsewhere, which actually could help out. But you're not deciding whether or not to let your kid go to karate or eat that week. I mean, that's what I'm saying. It hurts the most the people that don't have a lot. Yeah, and again they think they're helping those people. It's just and that's where I I'm not saying I'm parting

with you on that. I just have a hard time believing they're that stupid. I think they have more of this global this picture in their brain. They want to be the globalist and the elite at the top, and the way to get there is to create this world. And how they're creating it is what we're watching and living through right now. By the way, Monty and Beverly are on they want to talk about it. Botch job and it's someone we know on this show, someone on this Sleas Brigade, and someone

who in my opinion should be in prison. That is my opinion. The man should be in prison. And I can't believe he is still in business. Monty Beverly, whoever start tell us what's going on? Hi Tom, thanks for taking our call. Yes, sir, I had a transmission go out of my truck back in the end of November and November something. So I called around and went to several places and got some bids and stuff. And then I a friend took his truck to get some just some minor work

done from this mechanic or whatever if you call him the mechanic. And how long ago was this, Monty that you took your your car in December second? December second? And what what you actually what's the name of the business he had in December second? It's called Mountain View Transmission and Gear. And where was it? Ian berthed? Oh, so he moved quite a quite okay, so he moved. He used to be on Santa Fe. So this we're talking about is Jeff Jolliffe. If you go to sleaves Brigade dot

com you can find out about him. Didn't you do any research before taking it there? Well not really, because I a friend of mine said Yeah, he did good work, and he was the least expensive and the quick. Now, now, what kind of vehicle did you say it is? It's a Chevy pickup of twenty sixteen Chevy pickup. Okay, now I want to get right to it. The name of the place. I want to make sure. Is it still open? Yes? It was a couple of

days ago, one way and got my truck. Oh it is. We have it technically mountain View Automotive. It's yeah, technically the mountain View Transmission and Gear. What's the phone number? Ot me? God got We're going to try to call him and get him on. He's come on in the past. Mount The man is a crook. But let's hear the story first before we call him. So what happened at Mountain View Transmission and Gear, Jeff rip Off scam artist Jolliffe? What happened? Well? He said,

I give him the bin number. I said, can you get the parts? He said that I can get the parts in three days and I'll have it done in three days. I said, okay, great. So I took it to him and a week later I called, did you pay up front? Yes? We paid half of He said he needed his money to pay for parts and everything. So how much did you pay up front? Eighteen dollars? Oh my god, it's like throwing money away. Yeah, it is so. And then hey, you're lucky your vehicle didn't get stolen.

That's what we've heard. What happened then? So he kept putting me off with me, He kept on saying that, well, a family member was sick in the hospital. Yep, that's right, that's exactly right. Yeah, or his emergency, or his son is transitioning or something. There's always an excuse. Then what happened then? Parts? He said he couldn't get parts. I said, well, you told me upfront you could get parts within three days. Says, well, no, I'm having problems getting

parts. And it went on, I mean on and on and on. He kept using family members and emergencies and keep on texting him. He said, yeah, you can come tomorrow, be ready tomorrow. I'll be in tomorrow. And this is the same story. Man, here's what happens. He spent your money. He doesn't have the money to fix this. So what happened? What ultimately happened? This was December second. Now we're in uh, you know, April or March the end of March. What's going

on? So last week we finally he could have these excuses that he couldn't program the TCM and he didn't have the right equipment to and he went through two or three different TCMs, and then last week he just quit returning my calls and my text So I gave the number to my wife and she didn't He didn't know what her number was. So he's thinking he's getting a new

customer. And she called him and he picked up right away, and she started talking to him, and then he told her just to have me come and get the truck and have a He said, the truck's ready, just take it to the dealership and they can program it for you. So I said, okay. So I found the dealership Davidson Gebhart and Loveland. They said, yeah, bring in, we can program it and be done. So I went down to get it. It wouldn't even start. I drove it to him. We're in. When I took it to him, it

drove. I drove it to him. It wouldn't start. Had to get a tow truck to tow it to Davidson Gebhart. I got it there. Their mechanics started looking at it. Did he claim, Bill? Did he claim? I'm dying to hear if he actually put a transmission in? I know, that's what I want to know. He claimed he put a transmission in, right, Yes, he claimed he rebuilt my transmission and put it back in, and it was they would run if they just programmed at TCM. Kay, got it then, okay, keep going then, so they

got it. A mechanic looked at it, started taking apart nothing. The transmission was different. It wasn't my transmission. He put a transmission from a twenty eleven Avalanche back in. The bolt pattern didn't even match with the engine that's in my truck. And did he say it was a rebuilt transmission for you? He said, you rebuilt my transmission. Yes, Oh, but it wasn't even the correct transmission to even fit my truck. And the transmission

food was still dirty. There was metal filings in the pan. So he actually put a used transmission in, yes, and not even the correct correct one to even fit. Right. I'm going to call him for a comment, Tom on break. Okay, So he said he put in a transmission. You took it to a dealer and and it it was a used one h and wrong, marks that were missing and parts that were broken. Now where does it stand right now? I had David and Chevrolet put a new

transmission in for me, and I have it now, it's running. And how much was it paid? Eighty two hundred dollars and to pick all the parts and fix everything that he broke and that was missing that he didn't and he paid Jeff what eighteen hundred down? Yes, yeah, this guy's incredible. It's still in possesion of that old transmission, probably court it. Yeah. I picked him back and told him the leadership that said that wasn't the right transmission. He says, well, yeah, that's it. I said.

He goes, I don't have a core, so I don't have the old trans that's the right transmission. I said, no, it's not so luckily listen, I got to take a break. But I'm going to tell everyone this Jeff Jolliffe should be in prison. He is a dirty, rotten He's a scumbag. This man has no redeeming value I have. I am shocked. There are three people I've met in the auto business that are the worst that ever lived. Jeff Jolliffe is one of them. And the other

one is Jim Weee and he's forty fourth auto. The last name he had where he could have another one. And then the third one I don't even know he's still around. His name was Jack Shariffe, like in Sheriff, and he did four by four. Do you remember him Sharif? Yeah, yeah, years and years ago. I don't even know if he's still around. But anyway, those are the three worst that ever lived. I'm Tom Martine Moore coming up. Go with a sure thing Denver's Best rufer Excel Roofing

Okay, let's continue. Hey, Tom, Yes, I did try. I left a message for Jeff jall if I don't know what you want to do with Monty and Beverly, but I left a message for him to give us a call. I want

to know Monty and Beverly. I think they know they're not going to get anything out of this, and I think they also know that we're not going to get anywhere with him. So you just wanted to get that word out. I suspect right, we'd like to get our deposit back. There's no way we can. Well, you can do it. Here's what you can do. You're gonna win a small claims court. The guy's not going to show up. You're gonna win, but you won't get anything. Now,

Well, here's the thing. No one's ever tried to do anything. I think you could, and here's what I think you could do. I've done it. I did it years ago to a hot tub guy. Years ago, a hot tub guy was taking deposits and not delivering hot tubs. We got an attorney and sued him, and we got judgments. Then we did what was called a writ writ of execution with what you are allowed to go in and literally take his stuff equal to the amount year owed. That means

tools, transmission, whatever. Now does anyone ever go that far? No one, but you could. And that's what these guys need, you know. I'm just shocked. Most of the time in the past, the complaint was you would take it back there, right, and then he would call you and say, Monty, your truck was stolen. So you then he doesn't have to do the repair, but you have to put it in on your insurance because he claims he has nothing to do with it. Yeah, oh man, you know it. Don't gloss over. If you're new to

the Jeff Joliff story, don't gloss over what Tom just said. We had three people, three different people that didn't know each other, bring their trucks back for warranty work, and the next day they were stolen. Three different people. It's crazy. And those are just the three that called you. Yeah, and that's the three that just called here, that's right. Yeah. The mechanic put it on Facebook what this guy did. Because this mechanic's

been doing it for twenty years, he's never seen anything this bad. He put on Facebook and he said he had so many people respond on to him saying oh, can you give us that give that Facebook to sues off the air, because what I want to do is link to it for my Sleaves brigade. You really should just go through it. Let's I'll help you on the small claims, not on the legal side, but I can send you the forms. I can tell you how to find out. You know who

this guy is, and you're probably company for triple damages too. Yeah, I was asked the Colorado Repair Act. He didn't do the proper paperwork, the warranties, you know everything. I just can't believe there's not a DA that hasn't shut this guy down. Right, he's amazing. He's in a new county. Maybe it's worth taking a shot called d'a's office. So he's in birthed Man. Yeah, he's right off my twenty five in the Johnstown exit. But it's considered birth of God. Hey, we're at least getting

them closer and closer to Wyoming. What county is that? That would be Laimber County. Who Okay, and it's a good thing. It's not Well they welcome him because they're all crooked. He fit right in. You know, it might be Well County because well, County crosses over the interstate someplace there, so it might be it sounds let's put it this way, that would be apropos for him. Weld County. They're a bunch of crooks. There are a bunch of crooks. The government up there is so corrupt.

I mean, I don't want to get into it. Is that when that cell tower deal happened? Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's one of them. But this this Tom Parko, I don't even know if he's still an office up there. That's scum bag Tom Parko. What a scum bag, lying cheat and piece of crap. How do you really think of the guy? Oh my god, Planning and Building Services director and the reason I think yeah, he is a very popular guy. If you're if you want to

cheat anyway, let's talk to uh Chris. He has a probate question. Oh, I got to take a break, Chris, hold on, I'll be come right back to you. I promise. I'm Tom Martine. Yeah, I gotta go with this. Jeff Jaloffe came up again. Wow, uh, as I said, the man should be in prison, and we're going to keep you up to date on that one. Chris's probate question is coming up. Go ahead, Chris, what's

going on my tom? Thank you for taking call. Yes, sir, my domestic partner, common law wife, whatever you want to call it. We were together for one month shy of twenty one years. Uh huh. She passed away in February. Okay. And so the mobile homes that we live in was bought and paid for like twelve years ago by who and by who by it had her name on the title only because I was in Georgia

taking care of my elderly mom when she bought Okay, Okay. So now her daughter says that the titles in her name and I have to move and I have to leave all the stuff in the house that we bought to get. Well, that's not true. Okay, she can say anything she wants. Now, what documentation do you have to show you were married? I have two joint bank accounts or car vehicle title with both our names on it. Do you have any applications where it asked for a spouse that you put

her down or she put you down in the past? Not now, not like that you just did, but like, do you have any passed out applications with credit cards or with anything at all, jobs, fringe benefits, anything, not that I'm aware of. I don't, okay, Chris. Next question, do you have friends or neighbors that are relatives that will attest to the fact that you held yourselves out as being married? Well, we

have. We used to go to Cripple Creek and when she passed away, she had like seven hundred dollars on her card and they transferred it to my card because I was considered her spouse. Well, how did they consider you her spouse because she told them that we were married? Okay? Well they okay, here here, let me put it to you this way, Chris, you are common law married if you guys say you are, and if

you had joint accounts and all that. However, if the child comes in now and is greedy and wants all of her stuff, she's in line for all of her stuff with out a will. Does did your spouse have a will? She didn't have a will. She on Christmas Eve she sent her oldest daughter a list of her final wishes, and of course none of them have been hold on. How did she send it handwritten? I'm sorry? Did she send it handwritten? I'm sorry? Did she send it handwritten?

No? It was in Facebook messenger? Okay, do you have a copy of it? Oh yeah, Okay, listen, here's what it comes down to proof. See, here's why common law marriage hardly has to prove anything unless someone objects to it. If someone objects to it, like this girl's going to say, is she claiming you were never married? Is that what she's going to claim? No, she's claiming that that since there wasn't a will that she could take, she already took the house and put it in

her name. How did she do that legally? How did she do it? Because I gave the title to her brother. He was supposed to do to her owner sister in Maryland, and he turned around and gave it to her. So, okay, listen, that shouldn't have been done. But that's Chris, Chris, you're gonna have to you're in order to get the mobile home. But did she take all her personal stuff too? Where's this? Where are these sounds coming from? By the way? Hold on a

five. I want to bring up Dan McKenzie. By the way, Dan is a state planning attorney and McKenzie law. We'll give out his number right after this. And he's locally. We use him as an expert. And Dan Chris was married twenty one years common law to a woman. They held themselves out as married. All of their finances were combined, and they just held himself out as married. That's all we can say. He has nothing really in writing other than joint accounts of the past. There was no will.

There was some kind of Facebook message the mom sent to her daughter or his wife sent to her her daughter, not their daughter, her daughter and Chris in that Facebook message, first of all, was she expecting to die? Did she have a problem? Was she what? Why did she send a Facebook message to her? Oh? She she just wanted everything squared away because her kidneys to completely quit and she was like scared to death of order dialysis and all. Okay, and what did this? What did her wishes

say? Okay, hang on a second, I'm trying to find it. I've got it, I know. And is there any proof she wrote it? Yeah? Does it mention what she wants done with her stuff? Her dollar? Does it mention what she wants done with her stuff? Okay? Let me let me. I don't want you to read it, Chris. I just want you to give me your best recollection, please. It's not

that important in general. In general. What did it say? It said she had she had one hundred and fifteen thousand dollars an insurance that with all of her oldest daughter to pay her debt and to uh split it up between her and their brother, her brother and sisters. Okay, so she wanted life insurance to go to the kids. What did she say about the mobile home? It says, which just says, don't read it, Chris, just tell me please. It says Chris could stay in in my mobile home

when he gets when he leaves it, it goes to Tanny. Okay, So you stay in there for how long the rest of your life or as long as you want, as long as as long as I want to live here. That's the way I read, okay. And what about her personal stuff inside the trailer? There is nothing with that. It's all considered the house. Well, first of all, here's what's really strange. You were together for twenty one years, okay. And what's really strange is she's not

allowed to leave you out of her will or her last wishes. Okay, she's not allowed to If you could prove you were married, That's what I'm going to ask Dan about, because it seems to me you could. You could claim no matter what she wrote. I believe I might be wrong, but I believe you could claim fifty percent of that cash and fifty percent of everything. And he'll explain that if I'm right or wrong. But here's the other thing. Okay, here's the other thing. Right now, the mobile

home titled in her name only was already transferred to the daughter. Is that correct? Yeah? Did they open up a probate? I have no earthly idea how long ago was the death. It was on February sixth, about seven weeks ago. Chris. My sympathy is for your loss, really, But now let's get down to business. I mean, you may have to take some legal action to claw back some of that stuff. I mean, are you out on the street right now? No, I don't want any of the money. I just want her her. I just want to be

able to stay in the else that we shared for twelve years. Well that's very nice of you, because you could use the threat of taking the money to stay there. I don't know, but let me ask you something here. You just want to stay there, and who's going to pay the expenses? You? I'll pay all the expenses now, Chris is another question I have? Where are you now? Did they kick you out? No?

Are they threatening to kick you out? She said, I have to be gone by the five o'clock on the twentieth of April, and I already paid April and made lot rint. Okay, Dan, take it away. You heard everything. There's quite a bit going on here. I mean, you know, can they even a victim, even if they have the right to do so. That's not a real easy process. So I wouldn't necessarily pulled in the face of that threat. But there's a couple other things going on

here. If you were married, you really are And she had no will. I mean, the Spacebook message is not a will. Okay. You have to have testamentary intent. It has to be signed, it has to be either in her handwriting, notarized witness something. So if Facebook message does not really count as a will. So let's just say she does not have a will. If you can prove that people thought you were married, you're

the spouse. You're entitled to the first two hundred one thousand of her estate, which probably covers this mobile home, and then split with her kids after that. If she did have a will, if somehow that came up. That's what Tom's talking about with that fifty percent. If the will. If there's a will that cut you out and you're the spouse, then you can step in and exlain that fifty percent. Okay. If there wasn't a will,

then how does it go again. It's a weird formula. When the person who passed away had kids separately from their spouse, there's a math formula and it's like the first two hundred and one thousand dollars goes to the spouse, and then the spouse and kids split everything above that fifty to fifty. You know, Chris, I would not let this go. I don't care what you say. I would not let it go. I would have an attorney write a letter to that effect, and I would. Then you can

use it as leverage. You can always settle for just the mobile home, and not just to live there on your own, but to have it and own it. I'm telling you you can't sit on your rights with this. Can you get people to attest? What kind of proof would he need? Dan McKenzie, It's it's pretty wide ranging Christmas cards that went out. I mean, just anyone showing up saying, yeah, but they're married. It could be tax returns in CID, if joint accounts, that's evidence. If

she referred to him as her husband and vice versa. I mean, it's a it's kind of a it can be a mix, it can be a mix of anything. Okay, we had two we had account at two banks. Both of them were in our names, both of okay, but does it list you as a spouse or just two people? It just lists the joint account holders. Did people think you were Mary liked? Did everyone in your life kind of think, oh their husband and wife? Yeah? Hey, Chris, Then I have a question for you. Did the daughter think

you were married? She's an idiot. I'm not even going to get into all that. Did the other kids think you were married? Well, you know, I don't know, because one of them just got out of prison after twelve years, and the other one wouldn't know the truth of it walking. Well, listen, the only date that one is in Maryland. I'm going to to Chris. I'm really serious when I tell you this. You need to call Dan mackenzie off the air. Just call him and talk to

him. This is too much to let go. You literally would get every penny of that cash. I'm telling you there's no reason why you shouldn't you. You were married to her for twenty one years, and I'm telling you that you need you really need to talk to her about this. Okay, Okay, I mean talk to him about it, about her and listen. Then you can use that. You don't have to. You don't have to take all the money. You can take some of it. You can negotiate

it. But these people are ram rotting you right now. Yeah, I need that. I knew this was going to happen. Well, then you need to stick up for yourself and everyone else. Common law married, you need to start keeping evidence in case your spouse wins a lottery and croaks.

Absolutely, absolutely, yeah, I have legal shield. And I called him that day, and this guy called me and he said, well, tell him to Vick you when you get into court, if you can prove you'll common law marriage, they'll tell them to go pack, saying to give you the title of the house. Yeah, but wait a minute, what did they say about the first two hundred and one thousand dollars? Did they mention that? They didn't say anything about that? When and you say you have

legal shield, did they let you talk to actual state attorneys? Yeah? They did. Listen, if they don't handle this for you, first of all, how much you pay for legal shield month? Okay, it's wasted money in my opinion, But why don't you prove me wrong and have them, have them give you some real advice on fighting this. They should have told you we can go to court and you can get the whole thing. All you have to do is gather your proof. Dan, what would you

have him gather? Can he get affidavits? That'd be something to do. I mean, I guess just kind of thinking through a little brainstorm session of like who did we talk to? About? Who did I who did she refer to me as her husband to? And did she ever refer to you

as her husband on social media? I'm pretty sure she did, but I don't have at any situation that come I mean, any letters that went out, like I said, Christmas card can be helpful, but any Yes, if you get into a court and they're really challenging it by getting neighbors to show up saying yeah, if that they're married, they refer to each other as husband and wife like that would be that would be helpful. So my

name door neighbor will say that. In the New York second, the guy that is the manager at the mobile home park will say that we were married. Good. Good, Then you need Hey, I'm gonna I'm gonna give you his number eight three three CO Plans eight three three CO P L A N S C O Plans dot So, thank you very much, Dan, I appreciate your time. sixteen twenty two. Hi Tom Martino, your troubleshooter three oh three seven one three talk three O three seven one three eight two five five Tom, we have a guest in studio, Sir, who do we have? I don't know her now well, her name is Joe. She didn't really want to talk on the air, but she has donated a Bose radio for that couple that the movers dropped it. She's such a sweetie and she drove it down

here, literally delivered it. I see her in this, you see her on the or think get on the mic real quick, say hi to everybody. In fact, we've got some commercials coming up. Okay, anyway, so let's continue here, guys, Okay, let's let's figure out what's going on. And by the way, Joe, thank you very much for your for your kindness. We appreciate that. Gary, you have a follow up call about a hot tub. Go ahead, Gary, Oh this is I know this is that's the guy who wants to get the uh that hot tub

guy from his neighborhood. He said, someone else called recently complain. And and by the way, when I had put up that other guy I thought was Gary, I was wrong and I started working on Gary. I'm excuse me on the other guy. So I am going to that that hot tub guy is ripping a lot of people off. And again, Man, we we route out those bad guys, don't we. It's it's unbelievable. So are you calling to tell me what? Gary? Just to remind me to

get him up there on sleeves brigade. Right, Gary, I'll tell you what's a new call? Hang on, Okay, let me just move on. Eric, Go ahead, Eric, Welcome. What's going on? Eric? My friend's monitor was involved in a three car accident and all three parties have state farmed. Oh that's going to be a cluster you know what, a cluster farm. That's what I told her. Anyway, So here's what's going to happen. They're going to a try to assign comparative negligence, so

each one has to pay a deductible Now what are you calling about? Do you have a specific question. Well, she was not at fault. She was parked at I think a stop sign. Or whatever, and a car veered or swerved out of the way and ended up sideswiping her, and then the car behind that girl hit that car. I but it's going to this. There's not enough insurance. Is that correct? I don't know. I don't know the specifics on what life on what they have. If she wasn't

at fault, she should have Okay, does she have full coverage? I believe so because it's a twenty twenty one Subaru outbeck. Okay, she's got to go after the other party. The other party is her own insurance. It's going to be tricky. Is she injured? Uh? She says she's a little sore. I told her to go to the hospital because more than likely, then what she should do is call John Fuller for sure, just

to just to be sure. Just have Eric, I swear to God, just have the conversation with John. If he doesn't think it should be going anywhere, he'll tell you. But you're crazy, You're absolutely crazy not to have that conversation, right and then well, go ahead. She lives in Alaska. Oh, okay, then you're not going to talk. I take back everything I just said. She's gonna have to talk to I couldn't let in with that. Sorry. Hey, here's what you have to do.

Find a personal injury attorney and talk to them at least definitely. Next thing you want to do when it comes to property damage damage to the vehicle, she needs to let them the other party cover it to avoid her deductible call us up once you get the lay of the land. I wish John was still up. I just thought of sometimes maybe you know the answer. John always preaches, do not talk to the other person's insurance. And we all understand why they're going to try to trick you into it, right, They're

going to try to trick you a period. But when the other insurance company is your insurance company, how do you not talk to them? Well, you have to. You have to answer basic questions. So that's the thing Eric gets tricky. You better talk to an attorney. Man, Yeah, you really do need Yeah. I just wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth. Yeah, No, I know what you're saying and what that, So call one. But the personal injury attorney may not help you directly with

property damage. So when it comes to property damage, then she just gives the information that she was a victim. She was hit. That's all you can do. Now. Rod's got a question about selling an RV. Rod, What do you want to know Tom taking a payment for the RV I'm selling? What's the best way to take that payment? Okay? First and foremost, where did you advertise? I need to ask these basic questions? You know what I have not yet. I was looking at Trader RV to

go ahead and put it on there. I did call Lazy Days. I called camp World. As far as where I'm at on what I owe for and what they're offering is not a good match for me. What year is it? What kind of RV do you have? It's a many Winny Winnebago twenty nineteen twenty two, and it has five thousand miles on it? And how much do you owe on it? We? Oh, forty? And what are they offering you on a quick buy? Well, RV Trader had forty five. Oh oh like Lazy Days thirty two to four. Okay,

I'm sorry. So they're offering you Whosts sale Yeah exactly, Okay, I said of retails at forty seven. So okay, yeah, they're pretty honest about that stuff. I mean, Whostsale is Yeah, sometimes they go over wholesale though, here's what you need to do. Then, if you need to sell it privately, you're good. I just want to warn you you're gonna be You're gonna get more ripoff inquiries than real ones, well even the valid ones. He gets he's up again something because he's not holding the title.

I'm not sure i'd go exchange any money without a title. Yeah, how do you plan to do this sale? Do you know how to do it? Well, that's why I called you, guys. I thought was do I go to Do I go to Bank of America that I oh with the buyer and say, hey, write a check to this bank, yes, this bank put this towards that. Or do I go to their bank and say, hey I need First of all, no one is going to No one is going to give you anything without the title. Even if you

go to your bank, no one's going to do it. Listen, you know what JFR can actually do just the transaction. I don't know how much he would charge to you, No, I don't. I hear it won't be a lot, but I will say this, you need a broker and in between a half stealer. In fact, lazy days. Would do they do consignment? Do you know? I don't know if they do, but if he calls the one in Long Mind, I'm sure they'll tell him. You know, you might want to consider even if you have a buyer,

you may want to consider a consignment. Now, consignment's more expensive than a transaction broker. A transaction broker will just handle all that. And here's how they get around that. They do a bill of sale with a with an envelope draft, meaning that they deal directly with the lender and the title work and all of that. It's just more difficult than you believe. When you don't have title for something, it's no one's going to trust you. And

if they do, they don't really they're not really trusting you. They don't they don't expect the RV anyway, and they want to cheat you somehow, and and you're gonna get all kinds of things. They're going to offer to give you a cashier's check of more money, and then you they're going to have a guy show up to ship it, and he's going to want to get paid. I'm telling you. Whenever they're just remember this in general, whenever they want to pay you and you have to pay some money back.

It's a never no win ever ever ever do it ever. All you want are wired funds are checks deposited directly from their bank. If they give you a bank check, you go to their bank and have it converted to a cashier check immediately from their account and then take it to your bank. That's the only way to do it. But you're not going to get them to do it when you don't have the title, So you're you're gonna have to work that out with a dealer to do a transaction, and then they're going

to try to sell you. It's going to be a pain in the ass. Okay, Now I don't I don't really know, and I think it's a good business. There might be a business like this already that takes care of the intermediary stuff for people because most people don't know how to do it. They don't know how to do it now. They used to do it on on what was that one mark we used to that I forget the name

of it, THEA and then they stopped doing it. It was Blinker, It was Blinker, and they did a great job, but then they stopped doing it. They they were literally doing it if you had the title three h three ye bank eight two five five High Time Wachl three seven seven one three eight two five five Gene. You want to know about a VW Touse twenty twenty three or twenty four? Guys, what do you think? Is that what you're asking about? Are you looking to buy one? Hi?

Tom? Yeah, That's exactly what I was looking for, and I was considering it, but I just don't know much about them, and you don't really see a lot on TV. No. I personally my own deal. I don't like Volkswagen, But guys, what do you guys think I'm not a Volkswagen fan either to own one. I mean we work on and we make a lot of money fixing all the problems. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, it's not a good It's not a good one to own. Yeah, I mean they rank up there when it comes to some of the other European

models as far as the cost of maintenance and the regularity of maintenance. I'm trying to even look at their warranty. You guys know what it is in that category? What would what do you like about it? By the way, do you just like the way it looks Is that why you're looking at it looking? Yes, that's exactly what I was looking at, just their their looks. And we've looked at Huai's and Kias, and I mean, you'd be better off for the for the size of what you're looking at,

the price, and like they mentioned warranties. I mean, the Kia Sultos is probably a better buy. Okay, Kia would be a whole bunch better. Okay, Well, the warranty, the service is included for three years. I mean, there's just so much you leave on the table when you buy a VW or the ConA. Don't you think the Hyundai ConA looks kind of cool? Mark? Yeah, this thing's really the size of a ConA. Basically, I thought I have been seeing better looking Kias lately, But

you know they're both artsy. They're equal companies, aren't they. Yeah. I don't like that new Santa Fe though. Man, you're you're forced into buy in three rows now, so the Tucson would be the Santa Fe. I guess Okay, Well you got some experts opinions. Thanks, Jane. I wish you the best, and you may want to check out a broker, you know, Jaffar Cars. Talk to Rodney Rodney specifically, just ask

him what he can do, get a bid from him. It doesn't cost you anything, and then you can go try to beat the deal if you want. But most of the time Jacobs brought up Rodney or rod WHI JFR actually did say one time, they do they they'll do all that paperwork. It's five hundred bucks. I remember that. Oh they'll process a deal. Yeah, they'll process It was five or six hundred dollars. Yeah, cool,

All right, Don, what's going on? Don? Hey, yeah, we're looking at the refinancing our home and just someone to get opinion on something like Rocket mortgage for instance. They're gone, Okay, they're an aggregator, they're not a lender. So tell me why you would go with them. What I was looking up it sounded like they could process things quicker. And they head, well, okay, do you know what an aggregator is? No, I do not. They go online and they get you to

sign up and then then they find somebody to mortgage your home. Yeah. So Suzanne and I filled out their information, like I don't know, ten years ago, when they first came out, we had so many phone calls within the next two weeks. I want to do. They're not a lender. You're not dealing with a lender. You're dealing with air. See. Look, you know, lead aggregators are fine, but they're not your company. You don't know who you're gonna end up with, you know what I

do. Honestly, look look at Ideal. They're on our referral list. Just type an Ideal. And here's why I say this is home loans man. They've been around for years yep. And interstrates are still high right now. Listen man, and if interst rates go down, which they are going to go down within the next two years, they'll refi you for free. Oh wow, yeah, I know it. And that's three oh three eight six, seven, seven thousand. Appreciate it. Ideal home loans dot Com.

We've dealt with them. I don't know, it seems like thirty years. It could be less than that. But I mean, here's the deal that that that they do have the Intertate guarantee. The only ones that have the interstate guarantee, the only ones. So let us know how it goes. We got more coming up. Go with a sure thing. Denver's best roofer Excel roofing dot com. They have now and uh three oh three five six four five five seven four, great deals, great value three oh three five six four five five seven four. And the website is we Clean Windows dot C. Okay, now is that it? I think that's Oh geez, that used to be. Maybe I could have a new one. I hope that's still working. God only, let's see. I want to

make sure that's still working anyway. So let's take our next call here, Brent, Go ahead, Brent, what's going on. Yeah that still works. Okay, I got a twenty eighteen Toyota Highlander. Yesterday the uh, the check engine light came on check all wheel drive systems. That happened about a year ago coming down from the canyon. Uh, from a veil pass. Traffic was really slow. It went off, nothing ever happened. Uh, so it came on again yesterday. Obviously, need to get it checked

out. Can gimmeer transmission? Do that? And can I drive it until I can get it in next week? Yeah, you should be okay driving it to mean, if anything's acting abnormally, then obviously I would limit or cease driving. But yeah, give me a shout when we get back to the shop. You know, I'll be back there about two thirty uh three O three six nine three fourteen, and I can get you in the books and get you in Kevin, give your info out too, man. Yeah,

three three four five five seven two four to two. And we send all our transmissions to Jeff. One is Transmissions Denver dot com. The other one is shared in autotech dot com today. But okay, guys, on this topic, when should you not never drive your car to the shop, Well, if it's overheating. Okay, next, what about the oil light? Yeah yeah, oil light on check ins, in light flashing, I mean, take your pick, shut it down, extreme noises, you know

it went in doubt. Just get a toe. It's most likely going to be cheaper. Nobody wants to pay for that toe. But the extra damage you can do to your car trying to get it in can cost you a lot more than that tot. Do most of the newer cars have a limp mode to where they'll just kind of let you know, they're saying different fashions. They can reduce power, they can they can eliminate gears that can do a lot of different things. But you got okay, I have a question.

Then, do most newer cars, the really newer ones, let's say twenty two, you know, real new, do they have limp modes in everything that'll hurt the car? Or can you not depend on that? You can't depend on it. No, you have to be practical, you know. Just and here's another thing. I have this weird personality that says, do it, do it, do it. This is crazy and okay I'm

revealing my insanity, but I want to know. Do most transfusions nowadays have safeguards built in if you're driving and you shift it into park, yes or reverse, Yes, most of them do. However, any mechanical device is prone to failure just by definition of the words. Who do not test it? Okay, I'm going to tell you something. I'm going down an alley and I think to myself, I wonder if these cars are really engineered. Well, I swear to god, I did it. I don't know why.

I'm crazy. So I was driving down the alley nice and slow and I shifted it into reverse and it wouldn't do anything. It just it just flashed and kept going straight. Thank goodness. Do you have Do you have that dial thing like I do? How do you shift? How do you go from like neutral to drive and reverse on your car? Oh? You press it's electric switcher. It looks like a shift ours it mon's like that. We have. It looks like a shift on the console, but it

doesn't shift. You press a button and they hit it. Yeah, you know what. Ours? Our new one has that, But our Genesis has a dial. But all the dial is is basically just a button. Yeah. Well, it looks at speed, sensors everything else. So there's no linkage. Or anything anymore. No, it's all like and by the way, do not do what I did. Please, I gotta put out that disclaimer. I do not want to get people pissed at me. I don't know why I did it. I won't do it again anyway. We're out

of time. Don't forget three oh three Martino, it's really important three O three six, two seven eight four sixty six. If you leave a message honestly got we will call you back.
