You've been ripped off for taking advantage of this, My friend, is the show for you and I love car Day. We've
got some great people with us today. We got Kevin Cokin Shared in Auto Tech. Welcome, sir sis. How's life going over at Shared in Auto Tech? That maings good, It maks good. Yeah, you guys staying busy. It is a busy time of year. You know it can be. But the nice weather people are deciding to take off and not bring their car. Well, that's not good going for cruises in. We don't like that. Kelly's running late on my screen today she was in here. I'm
gonna pull Kelly. I don't care if his computer's working or not. I need my call screener up. Next time. People said yesterday, I had a couple of people say, Kevin, you were listening. I was because you texted me. You went something like, thank god, I've never called you Tom or something like that. One guy on Okay, So I want to ask you guys something. By the way, Jeff Fic Kimra transmission, welcome sir, Thank you, Jesse Schulinger, honest, accurate, Colorado Springs,
two locations up there. You guys have been with us long time now. Oh yeah, house biz up in the Springs. Wonderful. Yeah, we're staying busy down there, nice and busy. Absolutely. So I had this lady. Look, you guys know me on and off the air quite frankly, and you know you can ask Suzanne. I'm pretty much the same either way. It's not like I got some persona. When I get on the air, I might be a little louder, I might be try to be a little more entertaining. But I had some guy or gal I don't
even know it's YouTube. You know, they got a handle. I forget what the handle is. I think it was dumb ass, something along those lines. But they said, man, he needs anger management. What do you guys think? Am I just how would you how would you describe that? I wanted to ask you guys, because I've known you guys. While I do get very upset when someone ripped somebody off, We're gonna be talking
about mister Appliance again because they left us a message. And when I talk about him, for example, I do get upset because he took sixty seven hundred dollars. According to the caller, sixty seven could not fix the Viking refrigerator sixty seven hundred dollars nine attempts. You guys ever had a car brought back to you nine times for the same problem? Ever, No. Nine is insane, and they charged the guy sixty seven hundred bucks. Then they
ghost him. He had to have another company come out and basically fix it. So it's crazy. But let's let's get let's we'll dive back into that in a little bit. Go back to my question. How would you describe it? You guys see me here. It's not like just hearing me on the radio. There's no doubt I get angry at company sometime, but I'm talking in general. Please, Well, I'm afraid you're gonna blow a gasket
every once in a while. Well you mean like have a heart attack, Yeah, exactly, like Can you imagine if my heart just shot out of my chest? Okay, I like that passion, Jeff. I just don't say they think they can see the bulging eyes on YouTube. It just doesn't project across the Oh Lord, have mercy. Okay, folks three oh three seven one three A two five five. I'll let you know when in open lines here we are going to talk about mister Appliance. Uh they called and
left a message. If you asked me, in my opinion, uh, this company sucks. I would never use them. Now I need to say this. It's mister Appliance of Parker and I believe Aurora. And I've got the owner's name, Kenneth Hudson, and I'm not sure where he lives, but I looked up all his info in the Secretary of State. I have verified he's the owner, at least according to the Secretary of State. And if anybody out there knows any information on Kenneth Hudson, who just simply refuses
to call one of his customers back, his technicians can't fix anything. Probably the worst company I have ever heard of when it comes to repair. Think of this nine times, and I'm going to get that caller back on just so people that didn't hear the story can hear it again. Then they start ghosting you, and I'm going to ask these guys one more time. Nine times can you think of any circumstance in any service that would be nine times? At the certain point, you just got to give them their money back
and let the next guy work out. You gotta do charge each time, or was there one charge? And then this is great. So I actually got all the invoices from the guy the other day and I'm going to go through them. They they charged him like for something, and so okay, I'm going to tell you right now, here's what happens. The original invoice says, customer says making noise. They come out and they sell them a fan. They leave customer. The next invoice, customer says, still making
noise, They come out, they sell them something else. Then it says customer says, still making noise, and they come out and they sell them a five thousand dollars compressor or something. Then after the compressor, two or three fans and other stuff. The next invoice, guess what, it says, customer stays still making noise. So then they come out and at this point, the guy pulls the Viking. You ever seen these built ins, so they're not like the one I got at home. You just pull out.
I mean, this thing's built in. He like unscrews it from the wall and everything, pulls it out and gets to it from the back, which you're never supposed to do, according to Viking. So he sells them another fan or two, and then at that point nothing's working. So at this point he's got to have her fridge. His wife is Olay's about to kill him. So that's what he does. He calls another company out. They say nothing this guy did was right, nothing, nothing at all.
So they already took the compressor, so he can't even get the compressor back. He drove down there, according to the caller, couldn't even get the compressor back. But the bottom line is this, they did nothing right. They never fixed it. It never worked ever again. At the beginning, arguably it had a noise. By the time mister Appliance at Parker was done, there was other problems. Oh there was no noise though, yeah. So he ends up spending four or five grand, four or five grand with
this other company. Then he tries to get the money back from mister appliance. They're totally ghosting them. We're gonna give their phone number out and hopefully we can get through to them. But Kelly, since I already went down this road, Oh she's on the phone, let me jump over to David. David, what is going on? Yeah, I had an identity sessed in their November, and most of everything got solved in terms of my various accounts and stuff. But hey, David, for everybody listening, kind of
clue us in on how it happened. How did they steal your identity and what did they do with it? Well? I woke up on a Sunday morning and I couldn't get into my email. The password had been changed, my secondary email address had been deleted from the account. My phone number was not mine anymore. Did they go through your emails and find stuff like your social security or banking accounts? What did they do once they were inside of
your email besides lock you out? Well, they definitely blocked me out and I never got those accounts back. But I don't know if they got my social Security number. But they tried to open accounts, but my credit was frozen. The credit Oh you froze your credit. Listen. I want everybody out there to listen. And as this is a learning experience, it is so important to freeze your credit. Don't pay for it either, it's one hundred percent for free. You got to freeze it on each one of them.
Now there's services out there you can spend a little bit, either per year or per month where you can go to one site and do all three of them. But I don't do that. I do the freebie. I go to TransUnion, I go to whatever the other two are. I just simply don't remember right off hand, and you just simply type in like TransUnion credit freeze and it'll bring you right there and just freeze it the only time
you should ever open it. Like we bought a car Sho's in and I a couple of weeks ago, and I asked them, I said, which which one do you guys check? And they said, we checked TransUnion. So I went on there, I unlocked it. They pulled my credit and I locked it back. But for everybody out there, that's so important, so keep going day. But they broke into your email, they tried to
open credit card accounts. What's going on now? Well, you know, they had gotten my credit card information and they had probably looked at, you know, stuff that I had done in the past. And I made two winning bets with fan duel. Oh, oh my god, did they get into your FanDuel account? So they got into my fandual account they made Now, look, I got to ask you something though, because there's a ton
of people listening right now that have a FanDuel. I don't know if it's because the way I set mine up, but anytime I go into FanDuel, and I only do it on my phone. When I go in there, it sends me a text and I have to enter in that secondary authentication or I can't get in. So how did they get into your FanDuel? Well that I have no idea. He probably didn't have second can party, all right, So they got into there. Did they cash out? What did
they do inside your FanDuel? Well, they did cash out. Why they didn't bet on the forty nine ers. I don't know what they bet on, but four hundred and fifty dollars total loss on capital I credit card and I disputed it. Well, you know, the cap whatever FanDuel's casino is, it controls that company basically did an investigation and they denied my claim. I'm dying to know why they denied it. But hold on, I got to take this break. I'm up against this. I'm going to come right
back to you and let's figure out why they denied it. If someone stole your credit card information and didn't have the card present and you actually didn't make it and it didn't come from your IP address, I'm not understanding why that happened. Let's try to figure it out after this. And by the way, we got a lot of stuff cooking the day. We've got someone who wants to talk about Frank Duran, and then Tony's got a problem with roof

So you have any questions relating to cars, whether it's purchasing, repairing, pretty much anything you can imagine, these guys can help you out with. Now I want to get back to where you know, Dwayne or I'm sorry, David is going with this story. So, David, they use your Capital one card? Did they stole your identity by breaking into your
email? They went through your email, they figured out enough information This credit cards you're talking about, was it one of an existing credit cards that you had or was it a credit card they used your identity to open with Capital one? Yeah, they weren't able to do that because of the whole credit freeze. So they basically were into all of my accounts, bank account to everything. Yeah and you know so, but you said you got every You
said you got everything handled. Then you mentioned fan duel in like four hundred dollars on a credit card. So let's pick fan duel real quick. Did they steal anything from your fan duel account? Well, you know, there wasn't anything in the fan dual account. I made two buffs bets in the fall that paid off, and that's all my life. I would not sports
gamble anymore because I recognized I could be a big hole for me. So what happened was, you know, they must have seen that I had done stuff with fan duel in my email, so they you know, got into my fan duel account and did what and don't ever have don't ever have a lot of duplicate passage? Yeah, I get it, but y'all good point, David, Actually, good point. But David, what did they do in the fan duel? They did a series, They did a series of
small ten dollars. How did they do that? So you had money sitting in your account? No, my account was I think linked to one of my other accounts, because so they hold on, David, they actually deposited from one of your checking accounts or a credit card or something into FanDuel using your account though that you already had set up. Yeah, I had a savings account in Capital one. All of those were in one place. Okay, so hold on, please, I get it. So they actually deposited
money into your FanDuel account. What did they do with it? Besides make ten dollars bets? They took the money and ran. I don't know how did they take That's where I'm trying to figure out. How did they take the money out of FanDuel? I am not sure, but it's not easy. No, go ahead, Well, I I assume they know set up some kind of account to or changed, you know, account information connected with fan duel in some way. The bottom line is I when the when?
When Capital once said, the documents we got from the merchant show this is a valid transaction. Of course, it was a valid transaction. It was in my name on my account. So that's the hold on. I want to understand this. But that's the four hundred and fifty dollars. That's correct, and it was all made up of ten twenty five. They broke in hold on, they got into your fan Duel account. They deposited four hundred and fifty roughly from one of your credit cards or your savings account right into
your fan Dual account. Correct, Then what did they do? Then? You know they I'm sure they must have changed because I never got back into that FanDuel account. I'm sure they must have changed the you know, the connection of where to take their credit or outside of fan Duel. I have never set up I have not set up a bank account with fan Duel. So I don't know the answer. But I've got to ask you something. And I do not mean, I do not mean to poke in pride,
but you've said a couple things that I do want to question on. And remember you're just you know, we're just talking, man, So be straight with me. I have no problem with you asking me questions. Okay, such a little understanding of how all this is? Yeah, is it possible, just possible that you were gambling this money and you lost it? And this is a great story to tell the wife. No. No, In fact, I will tell you this. There were probably a dozen people that
I shared my identity theft within forty eight hours. What do you mean shared it together with? Oh, you mean that it happened. I've had my identity stolen and I didn't have access as of November fifth, I guess it was I didn't have access to anything to fandom. So the only thing, the only thing that basically is hanging out there is Capital One will not give you that four hundred and fifty back. Yeah, and let me let me tell you what I tried to do with that yesterday. Yep, I decided,
you know that. I called them and I said, can I appeal this? And they said no. So what I tried to do yesterday was research of small claims court case against Capital One, because I know big corporations often won't send an attorney to something like that. Yes, automatically, there's a lot of truth to that. There's definitely a lot of truth to that. I okay, I'm going to give you two things. I'm going to give you my real thoughts on this one. Okay, I understand why they're
not covering it. You It's not like someone stole your credit card and used it. They would cover that. I use Capital one cards. I got a spark card. I got a venture X card. I got a Venture card, and I've never had any problems when something legitimate has happened, they always just give me the credit back. No, I've had the same thing. But because because you already had that account, and I still don't understand the Capital One part, because you said it was linked to your checking account
or your savings account. I think is what you said. I think what it was linked to was the other Capital One accounts. They got into all of them, so I had I called one of a case stay where I kept. Okay, it doesn't matter. I'm still going to go back to
what I'm saying. If someone gets your debit card and goes to an ATM and they stole your pin number and they withdraw cash from the night, so they break into your email, they get your debit card somehow, just get it from your wallet, they break into your house, whatever, They break into your email, figure out your pin number, and go to an ATM use your pin number. They're not going to do it. They're not going to give you your money back. Not a bank in the world's going to
do it, because it's really not the bank's fault. The argument is it's your fault for letting it happen in the first place. Now it's truly not your fault either. The who's fault it is is the person that did it, the actual thief. But the problem with these scams is you're never going to find that thief. So I don't think the bank is liable, but secondary, I do believe if you sue them in small claims court for the four hundred and fifty dollars, I think you have a good chance of getting
it. And here's why. It's going to cost them more to just go through the mediation part with an attorney showing up. Capital one's not going to send, you know, a local banker. If there is a location here, and I do believe they do have a bank location here, They're gonna have to hire an outside attorney. They're gonna have to ask a small claims court to accept the fact there's going to be an attorney there. It's going to cost them more than four hundred and fifty dollars. So I do think
you have a hell of a good shot of getting that money. Okay, here's the problem. Go ahead. When I was researching this yesterday, my god, we're gonna be on forever. What is the problem? Now, No, you're fine, No, no, you're fine. I'm pointing out to I'm pointing out to some people on YouTube that you know, they say, oh, you're on one call too long and stuff. But anyhow,
go ahead. What's the other problem? The secretary of State's Office had did not have Capital one Financial Corporate. Yes, banks for different, Yeah, banks are different at Capital I Financial Corp. And it had the agent registered agents. Yeah, it was the one who would get the papers to well. I sued. Listen, listen, I ran into this man, I ran into this I sued, well, I settled with them. So I'm not going to say the name. But it's a major, major bank,
huge all over the country. There's one right around me here. They're everywhere, and I sued them. And after this, I'm going to tell you how I did it because guess what, they didn't have an agency either. And I'm going to tell you exactly why I sued this bank. I can't say their name, and I'm going to tell you this. I got all the money and I'm going to tell you how I did it, because you're right, they don't have a registered agent. You'll think you're his only customer when you choose Frank durand the real estate Man dot com to list your home with Remax Alliance three oh three nine two zero sixteen twenty two all right, three three seven one three A two five five. I was just thinking of how lucky I am to have my wonderful wife and how she's kept me out of trouble. And the reason I'm bringing that up is I did sue a bank. And I'm not going to say what bank it was, but it's a very large bank. And this goes
to what uh, this goes to what David's saying. So David, I'll bring you back up just for a second a minute, and I'm going to tell you how to sue him. But anytime I sell a car, I never trade cars in ever. What I do is I make sure I got it paid off, have the title in hand. I make sure I meet the person at their bank. When we meet at their bank, here's what we do. Usually the cars I'm selling are way over twenty grand, so
I'm not going to I don't want twenty grand in cash. So what I do is they get a cashiers check and they draw it on the bank. If you get a cashiers check from someone's personal account, they can actually cancel it. So I don't want cash. I want an actual bank cashiers check. Do you guys understand what I'm saying. So I'm at this particular bank and they say, no, we can't do that. We can only give it to you off his account. And I'm going why, I've never heard
of that before. I said, why can't he withdraw the cash without actually getting it? Then buy a cashiers check from the bank a bank check to me? And they said, we can't do it. And I'll tell you why. Because the guy was a numskull. He had no idea what he was doing. He's a Saturday employee at this big bank and he's just he's a turd man. The guy knew nothing, So I finally said, because I knew This guy was honest buying my car, at least I thought he
was. I said, fine, then I'll go ahead and take cash. He goes, we don't have twenty five thousand in cash. Actually it was way more than this. This was my GV. This was a Genesis G nine. He was like, fifty grand, fifty grand, there's no way. At this point, I don't care. I'll take fifty grand and I'll drive over to my bank real quick before it closes. He says, I don't have that cash. Let me call around. So he calls around and says, I can go to another branch about four miles away. They definitely
have the cash and they'll cash it. I get over to the other branch, they won't cash the check. One hundred percent won't cash it. Now, I gotta wait Sunday, and then Monday happened to be a banking holiday. Meantime, this guy's got my car and he lives in a different state, and I'm going, oh my god. Now I didn't think it would happen, But what could have happened? He could have called up because it was written on his account and say it stolen, and they would kill that
and it wouldn't go through. Now, bottom line is it did go through and I did get paid. But I sued that bank. I sued him because I had to drive back and forth and I know people are laughing right now, and I sued him for the interest for four days on fifty thousand dollars. It wasn't a lot of money. It was just to prove a point to these jerks that were running me around like a Dann Hamster in the wheel. Here's the funny part, though, I go to sue him,
just like David did. Now, David, I'm going to bring you back up. And I searched everywhere secretary of state. There was nothing. So then I started googling how come banks don't have a secretary of State? And sure enough, they don't have to. I don't know why. I never read a straight answer, but they just simply don't have to. If they're national banks. If it's like a bank in Colorado and Colorado only, or a small, small bank, totally different thing. So here's what I did.
I did not like the one guy that wouldn't cash it. I didn't like the moro on either, but the guy that wouldn't cash it really bothered me. So I went in grabbed his business card. Come Tuesday and I sued the bank. I sued him personally in the same lawsuit, and then I served him. I served him just so he knew it was my ass that was doing it and he could hand it to his manager because I heard him tell the other guy, yeah, we have that cash, tell him
to get over here by noon, and they knew everything was legit. But at the very end, here's what he told me and why he wouldn't give me the money. He goes, oh, I didn't realize Monday was a holiday, so we're not going to get our normal money drop and we need money for Tuesday, so I can't do it. And I'm like, oh, that's great. So I just ran all over town and you lied to the other guy and you lied to me. Now you won't cash it. But that's it. I'm gonna I'm done with the story. David. That's
all you gotta do. You follow me. You don't have to sue an individual there, sue one of the branches, and you're going to serve one of the branches. Got it, I got it. Does that include Capital One's cafe? Yes, that's exactly with Capital One. That's exactly who I would sue. That's exactly and i'd have your wife go in and serve them, because unless your wife is part of that credit card, you can have your neighbor, you can have anybody. But yes, that's exactly what I
did in the cafe. That is what they call a branch. So yes, okay, so use listen to me use that address. Use that. I'm putting you on hold. I'm not going any further with the call, but listen, David. If you need more help, email me at help at troubleshooter dot com. I'll even email you the forms for small claims. But you want to pick one of the branches out. I think Capital one only has one or two. Here, pick one out the closest to you, or in the same county as you, if possible, but if not
the closest county. You're going to fill out the paperwork. You're going to use the branch address, and you're going to file it in the county where that address is. That's it, simple as that. I'm going to move on. Three oh three seven, one, three eight two five five. Hey real quick, Dwayne. Props to Frank Duran. I love that guy. Man, what did Frank do for you? Were you a buyer or a seller? I was a feller. Excellent man. And tell me about

But three O three seven one three A two five five one line open. Let's take a car question. It is car Day, John, What the heck's going on? Man, Well, I appreciate you taking my call, sir. I am calling actually on behalf of my parents
in law, My mother and father in law. They back back in September of twenty one. They bought a Nissan Frontier brand new, painted off mid mid twenty two. Then June of twenty three, the drive cheft broken half while they were driving to church one day. Hey guys, how would that? How does it out of you? Guys know back in the day, I was in automotive too. I wasn't a technician, but my god, I've never heard of a drive chef snapping in half. Are are you sure
you don't mean the you joint? No, no, it was it was the actual drive shaft broken half, kept rotating, causing a bunch of damage underneath. They they wound up taking the vehicle back to the It was Larry H. Miller where they bought the vehicle in June of twenty three, and they've had the vehicle ever since. The reason why I'm calling is because they've exhausted every effort to one either get the vehicle back or to get this result.
I got a couple questions and maybe these guys can help me. One, what is the warranty on this twenty twenty one, what is it got to be thirty least thirty six? I think? So are they over I mean, if it was something that would be covered and they're not covering, I get that. But my question is, if it's something that would be covered, is it still under warranty? So from what I'm told, it was still under warranty. The problem is the length of time that they've had
the vehicle and the run around that they're getting. Well, you, you're still not making a lot of sense. When it happened and they first had it towed in and I'm sorry, is it Larry Miller? Yeah, I don't think I've ever heard anything good about them. Did they give him a car to drive? At least? Well, they're yeah, that's been part of the This has been a whole issue. But hold on, hold on. So when they first get it towed into Larry Miller, is it under
warranty? Is it under thirty six thousand miles in three years? From what I understand? Yes. Now, remember I'm the sun in law, so I don't have every bit of information. Go with a sure thing. Maybe you just have a question. Maybe you're thinking, Hey, instead of trading in my car, I think I want to sell it. What's the best way to do it without getting ripped off? Or I want to buy a used car from an individual? How do I do it and make sure they actually own the car.
Any question like that, in fact, almost any legal question. We have bankruptcy attorneys, personal injury attorneys, we have real estate attorneys. We have attorneys of every everything. I mean everything, I don't know how to put it. And they're all on referral list dot com. Fridays. We like talking about cars, and John called up with a very interesting question that we're
going to go back to. I have never heard of a drive shaft breaking in half, but Jesse with Honest Accurate in Colorado Springs brought up something interesting that it could have been. But first I want to tell you about Compass Insurance. Compass these guys can look at your deck page from your current policies, whether it's automotive, whether it's correct odds keepers, if you own a shop like car Friday, maybe it's workmen's comp maybe it is your homeowners.
They can look at any of your insurance with the exception of health insurance, and they can compare it to up to forty other companies. Make sure you got the proper coverage, and that's very important. The people in the Boulder fires, thousands of people were well ninety five percent of them were well under insured. You got to make sure the coverage is there on that dwelling as well. But Compassinsurance dot Com. Check them out please. I have personally
used them for ten years plus. Every year they shop for me and make sure I'm covered correctly and try to save me money. It's a great company, Compass Insurance dot Com. Now I want to jump right back to this. So Todd, we're kind of getting the information second hand, meaning he's calling and I'm sorry, Yeah, it is John, not Todd. So John is calling on behalf of his wife's parents, and he said they had a twenty twenty one. They bought brand new Nissan Frontier. Everything was fine.
Then all of a sudden, they were on the weighted church. Am I the only one that picked up on that? Yeah, they were on the weighted church and the drive shaft, according to him broken half. Now, Jesse, you said something, get on that mic and you showed me a picture. Is that actually from a Frontier? Yeah? Yeah, So
describe to everybody what what what you're thinking. I was thinking that the carrier bearing, which is kind of in the middle of the drive shaft, broke broke, and then that's where it would flopp because the drive shaft in general, guys, is made of what steel? Yeah? So I mean something like that breaking would have to be I don't even know how it could after two years, have to have some sort of impact, or that it should
have been a noticeable vibration because that metal was coming apart. But even on an impact, I mean, I get it. If it's huge, anything could happen. But generally, if you impacted it is steel, it'll throw it off balance and it'll drive. Yeah, but my god, to actually break in half? Do you guys think Jesse's probably right now? So I want to go back. And here's the question, John. It has been sitting down there at Larry Miller since June. Now what are they saying?
Why can't they fix it? And is your let's say, they're not going to cover it under warranty for whatever reason, whether that's right or wrong. Are your in laws willing to pay for the repairs? So while we are on break, I did get confirmation that it is under warranty, got it? All of this is under warranty. What they're saying is that there was so much damage caused by this one incident, yeah, that that it's taking this along to fix all of it. Under normal circumstances, I would think
that this is okay. Well, hold on, that's this isn't nearly as bad as I thought. This conversation was going to go to. Have they given them a vehicle to drive, since they've given them multiple vehicles part of the problems. So they've given them multiple vehicles, and what happens is so my father in law in March of last year had a heart attack, his second since they bought this vehicle, and this heart attack really kind of messed him up. He actually died nine times. Oh my god. Yeah.
They were able to bring him back each time and a whole lot. I just got to ask you about that. I mean one of the times where they brought him back, I mean was he was he at the house and then the ambulance came out and they brought him back. I mean, kind of tell me the scoop. So I was. I was actually with him when it when it happened, he was looking pretty pale, uh, kind of getting sweaty. I asked him, are you are you feeling okay?
Uh? He said yeah, but he was getting kind of nauseous. So why don't why don't you sit down and then you know, his wife, my mother in law, recognized that that was one of his symptoms. So we uh got a hold of the urgent care right down the street. They have a life flight landing pad there. Wow, they wound up life him from there to North Suburban. Oh my god. In the helicopter they he coded, I want to say, six times, and then at the emergency
room he coded another three times. Man, I am so sorry to hear that. How's he doing now? He's doing okay. But this is why I'm why I'm actually there, because he's he's really struggling with emotional issues now because of this, you know, he's well, I'm not going to be able to I'm not going to be able to. Here's what I think I can do for you. I'm not going to be able to sell them because of his health stuff, you know, like they're causing it or anything like
that. But what I can do? What kind of vehicle does he need until they get this fixed? I mean, I don't know how much damage is there. We're going to have one of our deputies look into it and figure out what's going on. But what what if they can't get it fixed right now? What kind of vehicle can they put him in that he'll be happy with till it is fixed. Here's here's the thing. They've been happy. They've been fine with the loaners that they're giving them. It's the run
around that they're getting that is really causing it to the issue. They have a truck. They own a truck that's sitting in this place that's broken that they're they're being given, you know, all kinds of explanations as to why it's still there. Yeah, they've talked to managers, they've they've gone up the chain with Nissan, and they've never they've not gotten a direct answer as to why they don't have their truck or another permanent truck back. They keep
getting these long it's been a long time. Yeah, yeah, I agree with you, June. I mean we're coming up on a here. Hey, Deputy Doc. I know you're listening on YouTube. Would you reach out to these guys. Just put up on YouTube. You're going to get on it. Kelly's going to email you all the information. So here's what we're going to do, Deputy Doc. Reach out. I agree one hundred percent. They bought a brand new truck. They haven't had use of it because
of a warranty issue. Now for coming up on a year and either trade them out of it or not trade them out of it, either getting them a different truck. Well, you would have to trade them out. The vehicle's two years old. Either do something that makes sense and that's fair, or get the thing fixed or at least give us a time. So Deputy Doc do that. So what I want you to do, John is just hold tight, all right, and we're going to give this to Deputy Doc.
You have to give a lot of information to Kelly, So hold on and then Kelly. The other thing I would like from there is the buyer's order where they actually purchased it. Speaking of that, did they purchase it at Larry Miller? Yes? They did? Good good, good, good, good good. I mean Larry Miller should be doing something. I mean, I don't know what the circumstance is, but it's got to be better than sitting there a year. I mean, if they can't be fixed,
it can't be fixed. Hey, what I when we were on break, I called my mother in law. She said that it's not just this whole drive chef issue. It's the damage that was caused by no, I get it. I get it because when that thing came apart, guys, I mean it just banged up everything. Absolutely, I'm sure it did. But still we're talking a year. Yeah, you could rebuild the whole truck of the year. You could literally build the truck in a year. So that's
the problem here. Their warranty is now gone. Yeah, well that's something else. It's gonna have to be negotiated. Maybe they put on an extra aftermarket warranty through Nissan or something. That's a good point, Jesse, because yeah, you know, the rest of their warranty is gone. They get this back and the engine goes out in five thousand miles, they're going to say you're out of warranty because you're past the three years, which would be
a bunch of bs because it's been sitting in your shop. Good point, man, I'm glad I thought of that. Everybody. Hold on go with a sure thing Denver's Best Roofer Excel roofing dot com. You'll think you're his only customer when you choose Frank durand the real estate man dot Com to list your home with Remax Alliance three oh three nine two zero sixteen twenty two. All right, three oh three seven one three eight two five five three oh three Martino. Hey, we've got good news. My understanding, and tell me if I'm right, we are going to have the owner Kelly Uh. I'm working on it, mister Appliance at Parker. I can't wait to hear his side of the story. I want to get Tom
back up. At the same time. Tom called in a couple of days ago. I'm not going to recap the whole thing, but basically, according to I think it was Tom, he spent sixty seven hundred dollars with mister Appliance. They couldn't fix his uh Viking refrigerator properly, and then finally he had to call someone else after they were out nine times, according to the caller, nine times they couldn't fix it. We tried to reach out to him. I personally tried to reach out to him, and finally we got
a message back that was kind of weird on our voicemail. But basically they're saying, we don't want What did the message say, by the way, Kelly from corporate? Well, I don't believe it was from corporate. I believe it was local and it was a customer service representative, okay. And she basically said that she had received the multiple things that were going on with Tom, and she left a message and it was very cordial and actually very cordial. Now, when did the owner call? When does he want to
come on? Well, we're working on that right now. I love when businesses come on. I'm hoping they've got a completely different side of the story, because here's what the consumer said. Mister appliance to Parker was out nine times, and I saw the invoices, okay, And what the invoices basically started off with the refrigerators making a noise, and they went through different things, and every invoice seems to point back to it still making a noise.
And they kept selling them things after things after things. But what really bothers me is after nine times sixty seven hundred dollars, then according to Tom, they started ghosting them. They wouldn't talk to him, They wouldn't do anything. He had to call another company out. The other company came out, fixed it for around four thousand in something and basically had to redo everything they
did. That other company, according to Tom, said they didn't use the right parts and they should have never have pulled the Viking refrigerator out from the wall. You can access everything from the front, and the labor wasn't proper according to the other company and what Tom said. So I'm dying to figure out what's going to happen there. Now where did we leave off? Guys? We put Deputy Dock on that one. Now, let's go to Steve Moss. Actually, hold on, Steve. I'm going to go to Tony
first. Tony's been holding forever. Sorry for the long hold. What's going on with you, sir? Hey, I think I'm getting ripped off. I am calling from Pueblo and I was Safegoat, which is part of Liberty. Yeah, and they said the rook so then got the roof done, and then after he left he sent me stay in paperwork that they were going to cover it. I have a thousand dollars reductible. I have a separate garage and patio from my house. So I pull into my garage. I
walked out of the garage into my patio. Then as I deep my patio heading toward the house, that twenty four foot of what there was all soaked and wet, and so I called him the praiser. He never called me back. Then I sent him pictures and I sent him a method saying, hey, you didn't mention any of this, is it covered or what? So then I just we see paperwork yesterday saying that they're not going to cover that. They're saying it old damage and it comes out to twenty four hundred
dollars. And I don't I'm calling for advice. Do I have any recourse? Yeah, you want to call Matt over a Paragon services. You want to get what's called a public adjuster involved. He's going to come out and hold their feet to the fire and get you every dime you deserve. Man, I'm calling from Pueblo. Is that going to be a problem. No, not at all. That's right, And is Matt with Paragon Services? Yeah, Matt with Paragon Services. All right, Yeah, that's it. I sponsored the Pure Stocks, so they they let me take my tent out there and sell stuff, and they also sell my stuff on the stands. Blood Orange is the highest selling beer out there, the punk rock Blood Orange Wheat. But hey, the reason I call it mark. I wanted to plug a couple of year
guys. You mentioned Frank Duran. You know this guy. I have not used him, And when I was looking for a lawyer, I ended up using Brad O'Brien that which did a great job, you know. And uh, Frank is one of the ones that helped me direct there and Tom and anyway, but he's not like a few weeks back and forth trying to help me out. I really got stumped on Weld County. It was taken three years. This guy knew I was probably never going to use him for anything.
He just you know, he'll he'd call up and follow up and say, hey, see do you find anybody on He's a bubble bah. This guy, his his character. I know he must run his business excellent because he as a person, he's a class act. Yeah he is, man, he's uh yeah, I like how you said that too. As a person, he's a class act, and he absolutely is. He's a great guy. But even going a step further, his negotiating skills are unbelievable. Man, I wouldn't want to be on the other side of the table.
Now. You also put up here what did Brad O'Brien do for you? You know, he ended up writing it all up, you know, to split the land and he did it you know where. You know, lawyers me are expensive no matter what, but he was cheap compared you know, he was affordable. I'll say, come compared to other ones on price. He did a good job. He is right on the ball, super professional. You know he really you know, speed of the whole thing up amazingly. I mean, you know, so he did you know, I could
go on there. The whole bunch of associates you guys work with, I could plug it. Yeah, they're great. They're great anally. And I'm going to give you I wanted to mention something. I have a go ahead. I have a new beer coming up. What is it? A new beer come up? I'm gonna brew here in the next few days. It's a mango logger. Wow. So it's called sweet Sweet Mango of mine,
Sweet Mango. I love I love the different I love the different ones you have up there, and we look forward to getting you back in stage. I'm going to give Steve a plug. The tree farm Man. That's him. Really cool guy, very talented guy, and he loves brewing beer. These days, he's got a big breweries putting together.
He's some liquor stores. Good guy. Thank you, Steve. Look, we're gonna take a quick break. Mike's got an issue on car insurance, Oliver's got a engine issue and a lot more. Sorry for three zero three seven one three A two five to five. We have two lines open if you have any questions we'd
love to hear from you. Is car Day, We've got two car questions up, Mike and Oliver. I'm going to let our guests decide your first. Go ahead, pick Kevin, Sean or Mike or Oliver. Mike, Mike, what my friend is going on with you? What's your question on insurance? Yeah, that's not a problem. It's just a question classic car insurance. There's a ton of companies out there, like Tiggerty and Grundy Sure, And assuming all the coverage is the same, is one of those better
or worse one to avoid or just a regular carrier better? You know what I want to do. I want to get on Compass insurance. There are insurance experts, so I assume you're looking at some form of stated value, right, correct? And let's ask them that. I don't know, but if anybody knows, it's going to be Compass insurance because that's what they deal with. So Kelly, let's try to get them on. I'm going to put Mike on hold. Three OZHO three seven one three A two five five.
Either of you guys ever owned or all three of you? Did you guys ever own a class sick car? Oh? Sure? I mean were you insured it? It's stated value? I never had request nothing that nice. Just my motorcycle. You're always working on them, and I'm talking that stated value, Jesse, it is now why is that? Do you customize him? Correct? Yes? I have about a thirty thousand dollars motorcycle. So how much was the base bike? What is it? A Harley? Yeah? Five grand? So you paid five grand for it? Yeah?
And now it's worth I mean, cat, what do you do to a bike to bring it up to twenty thirty thousand dollars? A lot like, what though, give me an idea, Peyton Rims, We've redone the engine. I've got every piece of it. It doesn't even resemble the stock bike. No, it's it's it's a lot wow. And it is stated value. Yeah. So then when you go to the insurance you just you talk about what the value is. Did they come out and look at it? Yep? Correct, they have pictures of it on there. Let's get those
guys up. I'm dying to see what Compass says which company is better for stated value? And then Oliver, what's going on with your engine? I'm to perplexed here on what to do. I've got a older truck with seventy excuse me, a two thousand and eight Silverado. It's got a three point fifty motor, it's got two hundred and twenty three k miles, and the teams I had it analyzed and they say it's misfiring. And so I guess my question is what should should I get an engine rebuilt? Or is it
better just get another engine or just go get another car? Guys jump, well, what's the reason for the misfires? The first question? That's where you got to start. I mean it could be simple as spark plugs. Excuse me, the misfires can be something as simple as spark plugs. But you're looking to go dump another forty grand into a truck. Yeah, I
thought exactly. So I was thinking of taking it to a mechanic that I use, and he did that once before and it turned out to be just that it was a spark plug issue, and that seemed to work okay. But it's still when I come up to like a stop sign or a light, all of a sudden the car dies and then I have to wait a few minutes. I got to put my mercy lights on and then it starts up again. But it as it goes down the road or it goes up a hill, it just doesn't have that compression. I would still get a
check though. Where I'm at do I I would still get a checked or have them do a compression checker. I mean, there's so many things that can cause these issues. Don't just assume that it's the motor right away. Well I did that. I did a compression test and they said, it's just you said it's working about seventy percent. Can say? Is that across the board? Though? I guess that I'm not a mechanic, you're a
construction guy. And that's tough without having all those answers. Because if it's one cylinder that's working at seventy percent and all the other ones are at ninety percent, that's one. But if the whole engine they're saying is only at seventy percent, then at least they're going across the board the same. I. You know, without having that information in front of us, it's a lot of unknown answers. Well, I already called because I'm tired of this
truck dying out at traffic light. Why don't you bring it to a different place, a different mechanic. It sounds like they just don't know what they're doing. Man, I'd hate for you to buy a new engine or do something silly. Correct, I concur I don't know. I I've talked to your guy there on Shardan Auto TechEd and that's Kevin. He's right here, man. Yeah, I've been over there and he uh, he was.
I was just priping out in and this is what I was doing. And he told me it'd be about ten thousand for a new engine, rebuilt and installed. Yeah, is that about right? Or what is what is oh wait, Silverado, right, Yeah, that's a CREP motor for four year unlimited miles warranty. Yeah, so you'd have four years unlimited miles warranty on that. It's not like a used engine, but whether it's worth it or not? Okay, Well, let's oliver. What do you do with your
pickup? Let's get real real quick. Is it a work truck or what? I use it just for work? Okay? So how much if you had to go if you had to go replace that truck, what would that cost? Roughly? Uh? Well, if if I got a used one, it'd be in the ten to twenty thousand range, okay, maybe ten fifteen years old. Or if I buy a new one, it could be fifty thousand plus okay. Or you can put ten thousand into this and have a brand new motor or a rebuilt motor. When you say a great motor,
is that rebuilt right? It's rebuilt yet? Yeah, but it comes with a four year unlimited miles warranty. Yeah nationwide. Yeah, so you would have a nationwide warranty for four years unlimited miles for ten grand compared to spending thirty to fifty And then if you went out and bought a used oweight or a twenty ten with high mileage, you might end up putting a motor
in anyhow. Yeah, in this truck I have, I've also put new brakes on, I've got I've had new alternator installed, a new battery installed, I've got new tires. And these are all things you may potentially have to do with the next used vehicle. Yeah, you might. That's the whole point. So ten thousand, you know what else? So let's talk to the other side of this. How many miles are on it? Twenty
Did you ever do a transmission? I noticed when I go down the road and this thing dies out and it comes back, the compression builds up, the transmission jumps, and I don't think there's anything wrong with the transmission. Maybe it's because of what's going on with the issue. Is it an automatic or a manual automatic? Okay, Jeff, As long as there's engine problems, yes, you can get transmissions that seemingly malfunction. They're going to be
reading information on the way that that engine is performing. It's trying to respond to it. Got it all right? All right? Cool, cool, cool, that's about it. Man. So I mean you can have it. You know what, maybe Kevin, you really can't eyeball a transmission though, Can you fucking look at one? Nah? Sush it? Oh shuesh
it. I get it over to Kevin. I mean, if I was in your position and you don't want to buy a new vehicle, well for ten grand, all the other money you've already put into it, and then Jeff, if he did need a transmission, say, I don't know X
amount of time down the road, what are we talking. I'm assuming we're talking about a halftime in eight He's probably a four L sixty E, so you know, low side is probably about seventeen hundred high size probably about thirty six Okay, so I mean you might have another thirty six hundred bucks at some point, and then you have a brand new power train. What another
engine cost? He just said ten grand? You said it right, Yeah, I mean, if you want a good one, I mean, if you want a good one with a good nationwide warranty, it's going to be ten grand. I'm not saying you might not be able to pick up a used one for five, but you could be in the same boat you're in now. And that's with all new hoses, belts, radio. They call that the installation kit, whole thing. Yeah, I mean all your belts, your hoses, all of it's going to be replaced. Man. All
right, thank you very much. You're welcome. Man, I appreciate the call. Three oh three seven one three eight two five five. You know, it's one of those circumstances that's kind of rare because it's a pickup and he uses it for work. If that was like a little Toyota Corolla or a Hondai with two hundred and fifty thousand miles, I tell him to buy a new car. I wouldn't tell him to put a nickel in it. But when you talk about these pickup trucks, for the life of me,
why are they so expensive? Now? Do you guys remember what like Inn F one fifty was what fifteen grand for the base model? Not no more? Yeah, I mean there's there's f one fifty. What are they called platinums? They're one hundred thousand dollars long. Isn't that crazy? It is crazy. You bought a nice one from ROLLI back in the day of Chevy. I got real lucky on that one. Actually, why why why?
Well, I mean well the story goes. I mean I was actually, you know, like I paid my very last Alimoni Penman Yoh, so I didn't know that, bro. I decided to treat myself and the next day I went out to buy a truck and I was going to order a half ton with all these accessories that I wanted. Well, GM had this three quarter ton diesel on the lot because they had it in town for a show and they didn't want to take it home, so they told Ronie to get
rid of it. So I got it for about twenty five hundred dollars more than I could buy a half ton for it. Oh wow, And it's probably because of COVID. It's probably worth more than you bought it for. It was probably close to it. Yeah, yeah, that's crazy. That happened during COVID. I had a couple of cars. My daughter got rear ended, car got totaled. The insurance paid me more than I bought the car brand new for, which was absolutely bonkers. Wait, Charlie's got a
comment on that. Hey, Charlie, what is your comment on that truck issue. They're just kind of wondering if the stalling at the stop light that sounds like a like a torque converter staying locked up. What do you think, guys, it's possible, it's generally not on that issue because there's actually no feed to the torquerverter clutch on the four to sixty e in first gear.
Yeah, it sounds to me more like it's not like it's losing field, but hold something's coasting into a stopl They would have to be mechanically locked up, and then which case it would do it every time? Okay, hey, appreciate it, Charlie. I like people at least thinking of how to help people. Three oh three seven one three eight two five five. We're gonna have some lines open, Kelly, free up whatever we can there.

dot com, Brian burns Man. I've known Brian forever. He shapes our insurance wos Anaze every single year's shops U gosh, a lot of people's. They do commercial policies, they do individual they do everything. But Brian, here's my question. Stated value. Now we all, well, for the most part, we know what stated value is. But explain to people what is stated value policy is on a classic car? Well, stated value you would never want on a classic car. Stated value is really just used to
determine a rate. Whenever a vehicle has a value that's you know, like if you have a vehicle that's been date since like nineteen eighty, the ven will pull up the value For insurance companies and then they derive a rate off of that value. Well, when a car falls outside of that, when it doesn't pull up that information, then you have to assess a value in
order for the insurance company to get rates. The problem is that people hear stated value and they think that if something happens to my car, that's what I'm going to get. But that's not true. The way an insurance policy reads is they will pay you aided value that you've used or the actual cash value at the time of the loss, whichever is less. Wow. Okay, so how would you so give an example where that stated value policy could
backfire on somebody. Let's take Jesse and the reason I say, Jesse's sitting next to me. He's got a motorcycle he paid about five grand for and he's got a stated value policy of thirty thousand because you know, they bored out the engine and did new rims and tires and just all this different stuff. Yeah, so at the time of loss, what they would do if
it's truly stated value and I'll tell you the difference in a minute. But if a truly stated value, what they'll do at the time of loss is figure out if they could see other motorcycles of like value that are selling for much less. In otherwise, in the words, he could go buy and pay less than what that stated value, and that's all they're going to give here, I got you. So if they can find a comp they would actually only pay them what that comp is if it's less. But if the
comp was more, it's not going to go above that stated value. That's right. It's a limitation more than anything. What people want when they want to get an established value. In other words, the thing, well, hold on, let's bring up this. We're going to run out of time. Here, can I hold you over? We're going to go to the music. Our goal is to make your life a little bit better. You've been ripped off for taking advantage over maybe just have a question. That question could be regarding anything, maybe a bad landlord, maybe purchasing commerce property, maybe insurance, which we're going to talk about in a
second. But today's also car Day. We've got three experts in here that know so much about cars it's incredible. I got Kevin Colkin shared an Auto Tech. You hear him on the air all the time. You Also, to my left side you have Jeff Vick Kimber Transmission. He's with us all the time. And then Jesse Schillinger from Honest Accurate Auto in Colorado Springs. He's been with us. My goodness, you've been down to the show at least twenty times over the years, but you've been with us well over five
years. In fact, ever since we got on KRDO, I think you've been with us. YEP, that's one of our affiliates in the Springs. They do great work. They've helped the show out a lot. So here's the bottom line. Any car questions three zero three, seven to one three eight two five five three oho three Martino, just give us a call right now. Two lines open. Now. I want to go back to a conversation we were having with Brian Burns, and I want to bring up the
guy that called in. His name is Mike, So, Mike, you, You and I were both talking about stated value, and up until I got Brian Burns on, I figured that's the way we wanted to go. But I want you to explain to Brian right now what you're trying to ensure and for how much. It's a sixty six Chevelle. And I had it appraised, I don't know eight years ago, and it came in at sixty thousand and as a review on my insurance, and it seemed a little low.
So I got it appraised again and it came in into over one hundred. And I just want to make sure uncovered if there's if I'm in an accident, or maybe if one of the specialty companies would be better to cover that. So, Brian, help us out here, what would his best option be asking whatever questions you need, because there's a lot of people out there that don't even understand stated value or when they need it. Yeah, and so what I would tell you a stated values on what you want here?
What you want what you call agreed value. So a greed value is different than stated in the sense that you agree upon a value and in the case of loss, that's what they pay you. And to your point caller, you're I think a specialty company would be best for you in this situation. I'm assuming this is not a regularly driven car. It's like a pleasure use car. Yeah, I maybe put fifteen hundred or two thousand miles a year on it. Yeah. So a company like Haggardy is something that specializes
in classic vehicles and their policies are agreed value. So that's I mean, so that's what you should be doing. Yes, that's the route to go. Is there any way to ensure a vehicle Let's say I have a vehicle that I think is worth one hundred thousand dollars Brian, but I mean it's not necessarily worth that. Can I pay extra money to ensure it for one hundred thousand or it's always going to go back to real comps. Yeah, so in most insurance company, I don't know any insurance company will let you
ensure a vehicle for more than it's worse. Well, interesting enough, you guys do my I'm sure this is completely different, but I do remember this. You guys do my RV policy, and my RV policy was for a dollar amount. I was my understanding. Am I wrong in that? Nope? And so a lot of RVs are stated value in the first couple of years that you buy them, replacement value YEP, or replacement that's right. Unlike cars, after a certain time, it balls off and goes to actual
cash value though even on rbs. Yeah, hey, speaking of that stuff, is there any automotive policies, not RVs, but car policies, truck whatever, that actually have that free replacement or like you get a brand new one the first year. Is that even a thing? There's Yeah, there's companies that offer a an endorsement on a brand new car that you and get replacement value, and exactly what you said, it falls off after I think if you have it on there from the get go, it falls off after
three years. Wow, Mike, you got any other questions? I think that's it, and let's he knows. I know he mentioned Haggarty that there's a ton of those guys out there. Are there any that are better or worse than Yeah, Brian, is there any that have horrible reputations? And any that you've had great luck with? Haggarty is who we usually use just because they're They're one of the most well known companies out there for classic vehicles, and in their rates are fantastic. I mean, you can you can
get really inexpensive insurance for nice vehicles. Mike, where have you found rates bouncing from the companies? Did you find Haggarty less or what they were they were? I've only gotten two quotes, but they were right in there. They might have been a little less. Yeah, I would trust. I would trust what Brian says. Brian, can you shot more than Haggarty or is that the only one you used for these kind of We have a couple carriers, but that's who I would go to first. Okay, a classic
vehicle like that, I'd take, Mike, I'd listen to him. Man, this guy's been in the insurance business forever. And on top of that, if you ever did have a problem, if something happened to that car and you had to argue that stated value, I guarantee Brian would go to bad for you. So you might even want to call him up and have him shop around. But I mean seriously, Mike. And then while you're at it, like I tell everybody, send them over your deck page on
your regular cars homeowners. He could save you money. Make sure you're not under insured. The name is Compass Insurance, Brian Burns. I appreciate it. You can go to the insurancehelp Center dot com to get all of his contact information, or you can call Compass at three h three nine ninety six nine thousand. Man, this guy wants to know about electric cars. By
the way, we got we've got one two lines open. You've been ripped off taking advantage of you Know. What I've noticed lately is the twelve to one o'clock hour is our slowest. Then it picks up like crazy from one to I wonder why that is? Why is that what people are eating? They're going down the lunch they're literally eating. Yeah, it's crazy, man, it's crazy. Tom and I have talked about that Jim, what is your question on an electric vehicle? Yes, yes, Jim. Well,
I guess Jim didn't know how to use a phone. Jim, please feel free to call back three zero three seven one three A two five five. I'll tell just some good, bad nuglies. I've been driving. Well, I'm sorry, who said what? Oh? Hold on a second, hey, Jim, go ahead, Matt. Uh, yes, I'm calling about electric vehicle, Yes, sir. And I was wondering, like when you take them in for uh service. I was wondering how much would a service charge be and and if it is like a regular gas where if you have
a spot club that need to be changed and you need to wait? No, no, I like your question. I mean for us in the room, it's kind of a basic thing. And I'm gonna let these guys chime in. But electric's totally different. Man. I've had our electric vehicle for how long have you had a babe? Like a year? Maybe? Yeah? There is no real there's a couple of things about electric cars, and all I can talk to is about Tesla because that's kind we on. So
there is no maintenance, I mean there really isn't you know. We checked highre depth. I don't think I'll ever put brake pads on it because it kind of slows down on itself. If you've ever driven one, I don't know of any maintenance. Now there is what they call recalls, and everybody is seen where all of a sudden, on the news it'll say Tesla has
eight million recalls. And it's so unfair because because if you have a recall on a Ford or a Chevy, or any gasoline motor or hybrid for that matter, what that generally means is you got to bring it into the dealer and they got to check it out on a safety recall. Tesla is completely different. I'm not saying that never happens, but generally every recall you see on Tesla, everyone I've ever seen, and I've seen a ton of them since I've owned it. It's a software update and you have no control over
it. You'll just be driving and it gets updated, and next thing you know, your car's a little different. I'll give you a good a good thing. If I put it on autopilot and take my hands off the wheel for a certain amount of time, it'll yell at me and want to take itself out of autopilot, which it will, and then it'll penalize you by not allowing you to use autopilot till it comes to a complete stop and you put it in park. Then you can go back to driving, say it
a stop sign and use autopilot again. If you go too fast in auto pilot, if I go over eighty five when I'm an autopilot, it'll just it'll God, it's crazy, red lights everywhere, flashing on the dash, babe, bpep. And then it punishes you. It says, no more autopilot till you stop. So some of the updates have been because of autopilot. The last one was this. It used to be x amount of time with your hands off the wheel, it would start this process. Now,
depending on how fast you're going, it's almost instant. All of a sudden, if I just take my hands off the reach behind me, it'll start bitching. Where before that update I might have had twenty seconds. So when it comes to recalls here, but going back to the caller, there's no And tell me, guys, can you think of any maintenance I would have to do. I'm thinking I don't remember anybody telling me any maintenance when I bought the car or picked up the car. I don't even know what I
would do other than inspections for suspension breaks that kind of thing. I mean, there's really noth what you can do, and that could be in the manual. But once again with Tesla, it'll just pop up on my app if there's something I'm supposed to do. It'll say, hey, there's something you're supposed to do. So Jim, there really is nothing there. What other questions you have on electric cars? There is no oil change. Like Kevin said, you might check the brakes, but I can't imagine ever putting
brake pads on a Tesla. I'm sure it's happened, but you never use the brake once it needs to be a line and it still has a suspension and things of that sort of thing. I agree with that roads you have to maintain that. Yeah, yeah, I agree with that. But Jim, what other questions you have? Are you thinking of getting one? Yes? I was thinking about getting one. But when you come to like you said, the suspension and wheel alignments and stuff like that, how much would
would that actually call? Well? I would think, do you not have specs? I mean, I'd never thought of this before. Do you have specs on Tesla? Yeah, so you wouldn't charge anymore for a Tesla for an alignment. They're right in their cars. Yeah, it's the same price you'd pay on anything. Oh okay, so what what tell me why you're asking these questions? Or are you looking at buying a particular vehicle? Yes, I was, ma'am. My wife was thinking about buying an electric vehicle.
Okay, but we wasn't sure on some of the cross that afterwards went like when you buy a regular car, then these other little things jump up and and I was wondering, how much would that uh call and uh like jasoline vehicle, if the spot plugs, I just need to go. H.
You probably could wait a little bit and then get that done. But with electric vehicle, if something come up, wheel alignment, something was wrong with the engine, with the battery, something, the price, that's what I was kind of one that would be an astronomical price during the battery fixing the battery. If they say, well you need a new battery, guys, that's probably the largest expense on that car. But depending a lot of them, not just Tesla, I think a lot of them are seven or
ten years on the battery. Yeah, and how much would a battery cost. That's going to depend on the vehicle you choose. I don't think you would. I don't think you'd do it. Maybe, I mean, I really don't. I think I would get rid of my electric car well before the battery was at a warranty. But that's just me, man. But you could cost I think my battery for the long range model asses, I would bet every bit of thirty thousand, twenty thousand ago five to twenty thousand,
depending on your model. On the Tesla, yeah, so twenty grand man. Oh, but you're talking Tesla, that's ten years. That's ten years. It claims between ten to twenty you'll have to replace it ten to twenty years. And here's the thing with batteries, I'll say this guys. So how their warranty works is if I don't get eighty percent, that's when they consider it a replacement under warranty. So if you're running, if your battery after a year the capacity was one hundred percent and now you have the
same but only ninety five percent, they don't replace it. It's got to drop a low eighty. So just thinking of a battery in general. When Jeff says ten to twenty years, that makes sense because a battery, once it's out of warranty, you say, year fifteen, you might only get forty percent capacity, but it still works one hundred percent, just like a phone battery. How many of us has owned a phone in the couple of years go by and your iPhone now is twelve hours instead of two days.
Yeah, yeah, it's kind of cool though, if you guys don't want to buy gas anymore now? Tesla I like the Model Less just because of the speed, But that's a totally different thing. Man Hondai, what do you guys like as far as electrics? I mean, really, all everybody really knows is Tesla. I mean, do you guys have any comments on him? I prefer the Cummings myself, the Cummins Electric. Yeah, pulling a big skidster behind you with that electric. I had a friend Tony.
He owns He used to be garage kings, but now it's what is it, Suzanne? You remember elite garage, so elite garage flooring. He waited a year a year to get his f one fifty lightning? Is that what they called it? So? And it's supposed to be able to run your house and all this really cool, supposed to get pretty good. He hooked up his trailer. His trailer is a enclosed trailer that's made I don't know, twenty five feet tops, maybe twenty feet, it's not that big.
And he's got all his buffers and sanders and stuff to do garage floors and the coatings. He would get listen to this, he'd get twenty miles pulling it twenty miles. He ended up selling it after waiting a year and buying a truck. So there's there's a lot of reasons not to buy an electric, especially a pickup. You got any other questions? Man, Uh no, Uh you aff at it? Uh? Real good funny. All right, Well, I appreciate Tevy. Hey Jim, you ever have any questions,
you can always call back up her email at Helpatroubleshooter dot com. Put mark in the subject I'll get it three zho three seven one three eight two five five dragon. I am way the heck over, aren't I? I'm pretty sure that's where a different dentists get together and they all pitch in to enter a group. What was the one you just said, Jeff Comfort Comfordental. We used to get complaints on Comfordental like you wouldn't believe. But what I've come to learn about a lot of these places is
it's not even like a franchise. All they are is like an advertising group for the most part. But we're going to find that out. But I wanted to ask you guys, what are you doing this weekend? Man? Anything? Kevin, I'm not sure yet. I have no plans. Why not open on Saturdays? No way. I have asked him that one hundred times. When I had the good years, I would open. I was open on Saturday in every store. But no, that's not true. DTC, we weren't. But Sundays I was opening Castlerock. But all we would
do is tires. We sold a lot of tires. Yeah no, but I mean the skill My high skill guys will not work Saturday. That's it. They'll go somewhere else. I'll go somewhere else, so you know what's good for them? Yeah? Yeah, Jesse, what are you doing man? You guys open Saturday in the Springs? No? No, And Jeff, I know you're not through Friday seven to five. Yeah. Plus that makes payroll easy, right, everybody everybody's happy you get two days off.
You guys are happy because I mean, you might have overtime on some of the hour league guys, but in general, it's nice and I like that actually makes a happy employee, which generally makes a happy customer. Leanne, what's going on with you? Yes, I signed a First Mile Direct club and I was listening and they actually are a more affordable version of like a Visi line. Got it. However, they've since gone out of business. Oh you know what. I saw that. Oh my goodness, I saw
that, and they left a lot of people. Oh this is crazy, and getting refunds is very hard, isn't it. I So here's where I'm at. I was current and up to date on my payment. I still have four months left of my program. Yeah, and they've since closed. I'm not get in touch with anyone. They're still charging me and I got reported to my credit report today for stopping payments. You know this, This this is so crazy. I read an article on this. I mean it's
been a little bit. I mean it really has been a little bit, but exactly what you're talking about. I don't understand the bankruptcy aspect. While they're still charging your credit card, but you're getting nothing now, you're getting absolutely zero. I would like to have I'll tell you who I'd love to have. Suzanne, can you see if we can get Jeff brian and on. I would love to get Jeff brian and On if he would come on. This guy does bankruptcies for big, big, big companies. We're not
talking individual no assets. This guy does stuff like this, and I want to understand how that's even possible. Hold on, I really am looking forward to this. I'm hoping we can get Jeff. Everybody, hold tight, I want to take a quick break because I'm so late on that first one. Then we'll be back on track. Hopefully I can have Jeff brian On right after this. You know, I don't know if I'm going to be able to get Jeff Brianan and Suzanne's got a text
out to him. I hope so. But I'm reading about this and I actually understand it, but I still got a lot of questions on the bankruptcy aspect to this. But Leanne called up, like like a lot of people, she signed up for Smile Direct Club. It's an invisi liner. Actually, what's the other one? What's the retail one? The one everybody's heard of. Isn't it called ins in visi line? Or what is it? In a visi line and visi line? So it's kind of a knockoff,
if you will. They went bankrupt. Here's the problem. If you financed, and I'm going to ask her, but I'm assuming, Hey, hey, Leanne, you actually financed through Smile Direct Club And actually the bank they used is HFD. Does that sound familiar? Yes? Correct? So this is horrible. I want to explain this the best I can so people can understand how this company went out of business. But she still owes money to them every single month and doesn't get anything for it up until the bankruptcy.
What would you get each month adjustments? How would it work? So in the very beginning you get your whole entire program sent to you, and then if it wasn't completed, I went back in and they scanned me to complete the continued process. Okay, here's what sucks. And this goes for virtually anything, anything that has financing that is not through the actual company, and
that's pretty much anything. A good example of this would be, in fact, Kevin, we were talking, what do you think the best example for me to explain this, Well, if you buy a car that's you can tell you a potlot, you know, and you get mad at the dealer and you stop making payments. Yep, that's a great finance company is the one who bought the paper? Yep, So sell you the car. So here's what happened. You entered into an agreement with Smile Club or whatever it's
called. And let's say it was I don't know how much was it? Tell me one thousand, No, it is. The total comes to twenty two hundred, lordie, so twenty two hundred. What they did is they sold it to you, they had you under contract, they turned around and sold it to HFD. And I'm saying this in very layman's terms. HFD most likely paid them ninety percent of that, and that's where they make some money because HFD is going to collect a full amount from you, plus interest
whatever that is. So HFD literally already paid Smile Direct, so they have their money. You entered into an agreement with them while you were doing this financing option, and if you read the small print, I'm sure it's there that basically, no matter what, you realize, you owe HFD money and you're going to have to pay that no matter what period, end of story. And that's where you're at right now. The company you actually bought it
from, the is in bankruptcy and they're done. They're not even doing business anymore. So it's gone and over. But that is not who you're dealing with on payments. You're dealing with the bank, and the bank's saying, no matter what, you still owe us money, so you got to pay us. That's how they did it because your agreement is with the bank. At this point, the people that screwed you are either in a chapter eleven or they've already gone by by in a chapter thirteen and they're gone. But
there's nothing you're going to do there. You're not going to recoup any money unless if there's money left over from the trustee to go back to poor people like you. But the bottom line is, I don't think there is They had almost a billion dollars in debt when they pulled the trigger on the bankruptcy. I mean, this is not good for you or anybody else. So it is going to hurt your credit. And I don't think there's a damn thing you can do about it. Oh wow, Okay, it sucks.
It sucks. I mean it really sucks. I just read up on it. I still would like to have Jeff on because the part I don't now. I do understand it. I know exactly how they did it, and I don't see any wiggle room there. But I think it really sucks. You have nobody to go after because they put up this big umbrella, this big bankruptcy umbrella, to shield them from people that they screwed over. I mean, they really did, and god, it just sucks. How many
more payments do you have with them? I think I still have four months worth? Oh my god, let me ask you this, how many months back are you now? So honestly, I need to sit down and go over it all again. I just have the opportunity to finally reach out for you to see what else I need to do. So I don't know that exactly off the top of my head. Yeah, hoping that I would have some answers. How much do and how much do you? Woe all together? Forget about just this. Do you have a lot of credit card debt?
And I'm just trying to figure out and I don't want this to scare you. I'm trying to figure out if bankruptcy might be a good option for you. No, I'm actually very blessed and I don't have a lot of credit card debt. My concern was just it's a side note of I'm in recovery. I busted my butt to get back on track, and I don't have this kind of funding it all. So I just was trying to see what I can do. No, thank you so much for your help.
You're welcome, and I wish I had better most for you. Called the bank and see if you work it out with them. Oh, there's nothing wrong. There's nothing wrong with that, Kevin. And just pay it off if you take it off my credit I've done that before. Or see if they'll take a lesser amount and just pay it all off and take it off your credit because there they know that there's nothing coming at the end of the day. So if you can make a settlement with them, it's just I
would try that. It does. It sucks so bad. I feel so bad for these people. You know. The one thing I didn't ask her hold on, I want to see if she's still there. Hey, LeAnn, are you still there? Yes? I ask I had a question if okay, yeah, hold on, let me ask you one this one. I'm being dead serious. Did the product actually work? Though? Yes, I say, I'm really sad that it's not moving forward because I have to start all over now. But it did work. Oh, it sucks,
all right, go ahead. What was your question? So? I was hoping then to do what your guys mentioned is possibly do a settlement and credit. Who do I reach out to to do that? Well, I know, listen, there's you're ripe for ripoff. If you try to hire a company to do it, I would call them individually and just you know,
I don't kind of plead the poverty plead whatever your case is. I don't know if i'd get into the recovery aspect, but what I would say is something along this is like look, I don't make much at all, and if I can give you a lump sum of say half, can we make this go away? Or I can't afford these monthly payments. If I give you half of that a month, would you take this off my credit? I mean, just negotiate. See what they're gonna say. Okay, yeah,
it's And please don't don't forget it's not secure debt. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna do a deep dive into your finances, but it's not secured. If you a lot of times, and people can't understand this, you realize if you owe a lot and you're back on credit cards, maybe a car payment, maybe you've been laid on the mortgage a couple times, it trashes your credit. We all get that, right. But if you file a bankruptcy and you're within the limits to where they really can't take anything from
you, you get rid of all the unsecured debt. Your credit within a year is way better, way better than if you didn't do the bankruptcy and still have these thirty sixty day lates on credit cards and mortgages. And I know it's a hard thing to really wrap your head about but if your real goal most times is to get that credit higher and get rid of that debt, the bankruptcy is a good option. It depends how much equity you have
in your house. There's good exemptions in Colorado. I think a single person's around a quarter of a million. So if you have less than a quarter of a million inequity, nothing's going to happen to your house. If you have less than I think it's like eleven thousand in a car inequity, nothing's going to happen to your car. The only things that I can think of, and a lot of people, you know, they pass it on to someone, maybe give it to their kids. Guns, some collectibles you can't
actually exempt. There is no exemption, so some of that stuff before you pull the trigger. And I'm not going to get into look back and stuff. I'm not an attorney, but some people pass along those assets when they're supposed to, before they become part of it. So it's not a bad option out there. A lot of people are thinking, hey, bankruptcy, that affects us all, well, kind of kind of it affects us all. But there's a good argument that I like, look at this huge company
that just went into bankruptcy. Look at this huge company. That's true. But here's here's the part I like looking at. I think it's good for the common even though we're bailing that person out and they're leaving some debt, big deal. Who do they owe? They own banks, you know, they owe banks, credit cards, they owe a big mortgage company. It's not necessarily killing us. And the fact they get back on their feet,
don't owe that money. What do they do instead of paying all this interest to the big banks and the late fees to the HOA and the mortgage company, all that's gone. Where does that money go? Well, that goes in all of our small businesses, that goes to Walmart, that goes to Sheridan Auto Tech. Now they can afford to fix a car, buy a transmission from Jeff, get an oil change, or whatever they need from Jesse. I mean it, really, there's a lot to be said about bankruptcy.

number works on and off the air. And don't forget help a Troubleshooter dot com. And while we're moving along right now, between ten and two every day Monday through Friday, you can always go to YouTube dot com type in Troubleshooter network. You can hear our conversations during the breaks and very interesting. In fact, I'll just give you an idea. I don't even know how it came up, but we were talking about how many people in the world.
You take eight billion people, seven billion, whatever it is, where could you fit them? Listen to this? This is pretty crazy. This comes from Hawaii dot edu. So I'm giving you a little hint there. So with only room enough for each person to spin around with their arms extended, the entire entire human population seven billion plus could mathematically fit in the area the size of the largest island in Hawaii. That's crazy. But are they
taking inn account people like Jokic? No, And I was thinking, are they taking into account very heavy people? Very heavy people, so that might eat up some of it, But they're saying what their arms out. But anyhow, I don't even know what we got on that conversation. I think Kevin Calkin was shared in autotative, Yeah, was bringing it up. So three oh three seven one three eight two five. Now let's go to this. It's car Friday. We're going to go to this issue with Greg with
the auto start stop. I can't stand it, guys. It's basically these cars, both of ours. In fact, I think every car now, I think it's one of these deals. If you sell eight cylinder vehicles, somehow you got to get that mileage down or even higher on your cheaper cars in order to sell the cars that guzzle a lot of gas. It all comes down to emissions calculations, right, I mean, yeah, it's all about the cafe standards. It's all about the cafe standards. So everybody out
there with a newer car, you know this. You pull up to a stop light or a stop sign and if you're there for like three four seconds, the vehicle turns off. The biggest time for me is a pain in the ass is when it's really hot. And then my air conditioner. Now you guys said it doesn't do that anymore, Well, no, if if climate control conditions demand, or if charging compnditions demand it, okay, cables to start right, so it'll start back up, but it is a pain
in the butt. And then if you want to take off quick from the light or whatever, I mean, really, your car's got to start. Does the starter do that? By the way, how does that? How does that wouldn't that be a lot of work on the starter. Absolutely, yes, And it is the starter and you have a compeater shutting it down. You have separate pumps on the transmissions in order to keep pressures up so that they stay in gear until you take off. So it's hard on the
engine. And there's more components in there that that can fail. Well, yeah, of course, So Greg, what is your question about it? My my question is I have that it hasn't been it's not worked, so I'm at of light. Take my foot off the brake and it doesn't do anything, so I have to shut the car off. Wait a second, park, Greg, Greg, Greg, Greg, I just said we all look a little perplexed here. So you're driving along and everything's fine. You come to a stop, it turns off, but you can't turn it back
on. Right when I take my foot off the brake, it doesn't kick back on. And it's done this a few times, it doesn't do it all the time. This goes to what Jesse was saying, there's so many more components. Now have you guys seen this? I haven't seen it, but I've heard of it. What are we talking about? It's for one fifty and the thing that happened today is when I went out this morning to try to start the truck, turn the key nothing. So do you have
remote start on that truck? No, because that sounds like a remote start issue that Ford was having. No, this was in this morning when I tried to start it. I turned the key on, shut the the auto start stop off, and it kicked right, I mean it started right up. God, I mean, how would you guys even I mean, all of you can probably fix it, But where do you even is it consistent
every time? Or how often? Like out of twenty times? You know, it's only done it where you went, my Matt the light three times? Got this that the computer system is going to store some of that information. But I'm gonna I'm gonna plug into the OBED and see what's going on in that computer and see if he tells me anything like you think it does. It should anytime it has a problem like that. That's how they were
fighting the problems with the remote if it is a problem. Oh okay, so you're saying, even if a check engine light's not there, it's still storing. Yeah, so we're gonna have history and free frame data that we can go back and look at and see if this is the known issue or if it's if it's sane, didn't do this here, started here or whatever? Man, that would suck. Well, it could be as simple as the switch and the brake pedals not communicating to the computer so it doesn't know
that you disengage the break so it doesn't start. That means technically his tail lights wouldn't be working or his brake lights wouldn't be working as well on different switch. Gotch and the newer ones have two switches. So well, I mean, Greg, you just got it. Where you located? Man? Where are you at? Uh? Well, I lived down in cast Rock, but my office up in Littleton. Yeah, So I mean I'd bring it over to Kevin shared an auto tech. I mean, he's not going
to charge you much. Figure it out. And what I love about Kevin and the guys they bought how long wo'd you buy Lakewood Electric? It's been about a year and a half. He's got technicians man that dealerships send people to when it comes to some electrical issues. And honestly, that sounds like what you got of some sort. Well I did stop it up four dealer and they they I mean they're putting me out three weeks before they can even
look at it. That sucks. That's almost right now for just about anybody who's worth their spit, No kidding. How far out of you Kevin on stuff like that? Well, the Lexico stuff, it's you know, we asked for two days. We're about a week out, but you have to leave it for a couple of days. You got to dump it. Yep? Well, Greg, I mean that's it. I'd bring it over to Kevin over a dealer any day unless it was under warranty. And I already know it's not. So no, it's not that sucks so man, but
I was going to mention this, what do you think about it? Real quick while we got Greg, When it's working properly. How long have you had that vehicle with it? About four years? So what do you think? Man? Does it drive you nuts? Or you finally got used to it or what? I kind of got used to it. But again, if I'm if I'm in traffic that stop and go, I just shut it off. Yeah, you hit that button. I always wondered why you can't hit that button to turn it on. So do the complete opposite, or
choose and I'll tell you why. It goes back to the emission standards. They don't want you to do that, but Jeff figured out a way to bypass it. And it has to do with a matchbook or toothpick, watchbook, toothpick, bread clip, anything that'll fit in. Thing that'll fit in there at the wedget where hold it in position, and then it'll automatically stay with the stop start feature disabled. Yeah that's crazy. Well, there you go right now, and once you shut the truck off and start it again,
it's automatically on. Yeah. And then he's saying you would jam. No, you're saying even okay, hold on. So if you jam the toothpick in there before you started the truck, would it be off or you're disabled it? Gam it in there. It keeps the button from resetting after you disable it. So you turn the car on, disable it, jam the thing in Not that I condone that kind of behavior, mister Jeff Thick.
All right, Greg, thanks for the call man. Yeah, look at you giving out crazy advice like the emissions in Colorado were going to go through the roof. Thanks? Did you reason for the brown cloud on part of the brown movement? Just want everybody to know it. Three oh three seven one three A two five five. We have a couple of lines open. Rich has a warranty issue. Rich, give me the skinny real quick, and I got to take a break. We'll try to help you.
I've got a twenty twenty one Gladiator that basically has got a knock in the engine, been in the dealers since for thirty days, since the beginning of the yearth Is it a warranty? I mean it's still it is under warranty? What is jeeves warranty? Guys? What is it for? Or five poin fifty depending on what they what's your warranty? Rich? What believe it's five? I believe it's five fifty. They're covering everything on the warrant.
You've got thirty six thousand miles just under thirty seven and it's been there thirty days. Okay, hold on, we're getting a lot of this, just like uh Man first hour. you about a company eight eight eight Heating dot com. You know what I love about Garrett in the Gang. Check this out. Not only they got great service, but they will always give you the option. They have very high efficiency systems. On top of that, they have less expensive stuff. So if maybe it's a rental for a new furnace or air conditioner, but if something's broke at your house and you call them out, they're not going
to just try to sell you a new one. I don't care how old that furnace or air conditioner is. He's going to give you an option to actually fix it. Some people don't care if they got a fifteen year old furnace. If it's working, it's working, and you might be able to fix it for a few hundred bucks compared to having to buy a brand new one. That's what I like about eight eight eight heating dot Com. In fact, that reminds me of Ideal Home Loans. And I'll tell you why
we were talking about interest rates a little bit during the break. I need to say something about interest rates. They're high as hell. If you're trying to refine right now, you're probably around seven percent on the thirty or fixed. But if you're forced to do something, maybe high credit card debt, or maybe you're getting moved and you have to buy a new house, you have to sell some kind of transfer. Here's the bottom line. I don't
care what interest rates are now. If they drop in the next two years and you use Ideal Home Loans, guess what they're going to do. Refi you for free, no closing cost. Refi you for free Ideal Home Loans dot Com. Now, Hey, Gigi, how are you doing? Longtime no talk? Hey? I know, how are you? I'm good? I am doing great. We had a call and I already know kind of what the answer is going to be, but I wanted to pick your brain about it. So with the Wink Law Firm, you guys do a lot
of individual bankruptcies. So this woman, have you ever heard of the Smile Club? Am I saying that? Right? Guys? Wasn't it called the Smile Club Direct? Yep? So this is the craziest situation. And I think I understand it, But tell me if I'm wrong. She signed up, and she signed up for their financing, and for people just listening, it's a it's braces basically. I mean, it's not braces, it's a knockoff of invisil line. So they went bankrupt. They had a finance company
that was not them. I think it was called HSF or something along those lines. So these people, I assume, agreed to monthly payments, if that's what they chose, through this outside finance company. When this company actually went bankrupt and is no longer doing anything, they're still having to pay that monthly fee to the other company because it really has nothing to do with it. That other company most likely bought the paper from from the Smile Club,
So the Smile Club actually got paid. Now they have an agreement with the consumer. So even though the consumer is not getting any adjustments or monthly service or whatever they're supposed to get, they still owe the money to the bank. I mean, is that about it? Yeah? I mean that you want to read the contract that you signed. Maybe there's an out right because if you're not, but if it's just straight up you owed that with filed,
Yeah, you have an independent contract with those. So of course the argument is even though this company promised me a lifetime guarantee, and this company promised me a justice forever and blah blah blah, none of it matters because your agreement with them is terminated because of the bankruptcy shield, and your agreement with the finance company is exactly where you left it. You owe them money.
Yep, yep. Talk about unfair as hell, though, right, I mean really growth, that's growth, and the fact that that finance company wouldn't get in front of it for their own you know, goodwill is wrong. I think this is pretty recent though, is that right? I think I think it happened in the last couple of months. Yeah, so what they I was reading up on it. One of the things are in the middle of doing you're right. I think September was a filing and you know
these big ones. My goodness. I mean, that's nothing that just happened. So, but what's interesting is there's people that signed up for the financing that have not received anything yet. Those people they look like they're going to get refunds eventually. And the other people that had a thirty day guarantee or a money back guarantee, those people that requested it, so they haven't. They have received it, but it's been within thirty days from receiving the device.
They look like eventually they'll get the money back. But when we talk about bankruptcy and a company this big going out, I mean, it is what it is. How does it go? The first thing is going to be their secure debt, right, yeah, yeah, they probably got a ton of secure debt. Yeah. I would imagine that somebody, a consumer is unlikely to get a dime a dime. I wonder what this financing company would say if you've got them on the phone on the air. Oh,
they wouldn't talk about it. Yeah, they probably wouldn't. But I mean it's just so gross. No it is. It's horrible, But let's not you know, they're really not the bad guys. We know that, but you would think they'd come up with some kind of structure they so the call. Here's the worst part about them, I'll tell you what the worst part is, in my opinion, why they really suck. I mean, I get it. They're a victim too. I truly believe they paid for that
stuff already to the company. That's how most of those monthly financing agreements go. But they actually reported our caller to the credit bureau because she hasn't paid for three months. So now were credits you know, bad? Right right? I mean, And that's the problem is, like you said, it's an independent obligation, and if you default on it, you're going to be
subject to what happens when you default on contractual debt. Yeah, and so you know, if they're not willing to work with you in any way, you could, you could defend yourself, but it really is going to be the fine print of the financing contract that you have with them. Hey, let me pick your brain on another topic. Is it true now that if you have medical debt and you let's say you go to the emergency room and you end up with whatever five grand and medical debt. They can't put that
on your They're not supposed to put it on your credit report. Is that right? I believe that is correct. That's what I've heard. That's amazing. I mean, you don't know it. It just means they can't use that collection activity against you. I heard on a I think it was nine news or Fox thirty one there was a certain hospital and I thought it was the one, what's the big one downtown Guys, Denver General. Is that what it's called? Denver Health? Denver Health? I think it was Denver
Health, But don't don't quote me on that. That they were somehow using a outside company to report it and it wouldn't show up as a debt to a healthcare facility, but it would show up as a different debt that would affect the credit and show and I think they're My understanding is they're trying to work out that red tape. But if you think about it, if you're a hospital gg in, you're owed five thousand, and you can't affect someone's credit to try to get paid. And I'm not talking the validity. I'm
saying, Okay, it's a valid it's a valid debt. Let's just pretend that. And I don't want to talk about you know, whether you think it's right or wrong, that's a whole different thing. But if I sell that five thousand dollars debt from my hospital to my car dealership, and now my car dealership owns that debt, they can report it. I mean, it's kind of tricky. Yeah, I don't know. I mean I think if the underlying debt is medical, you'd be in trouble. Yes, And
that's what I think the whole report was on was that. But we'll find out what other what else is going on in bankruptcy? Well, I got youa. Are we seeing cases come up? Are they going down? They are going up? We've been down so long we can only go up. Oh man, has it been drastic or a slow hill? It's been a slow decline for probably six to eight years, but COVID hardly any activity for a good two years. Yeah, you couldn't. It's normal that because consumer
consumer spending is going up and defaults are going up on consumer debts. So it's just part of the process the cycle. Credit card debt has never been higher, backed up credit card debt's never been higher. And then on top of that, the value of what people have in their cars is upside down like you wouldn't believe. And if we do happen to have another housing crisis, oh my goodness, we are I'm talking just Colorado. We are so
overpriced in the market. If it ever leveled out the reality again, people, it would be just like five oh eight. I agree, I agree. I hope that doesn't happen. But I think just on the credit card debt alone, we're going to see, you know, bankruptcies increasing over the next couple of years. And we're always lagging. We're a lagging indicator, so we follow behind the kind of economic you know, trend. Hey, and if anybody out there has any bankruptcy questions, please reach out to gg
Wink. And there's a lot of things out there that I wish I could go back in time, GGI and tell people. And I'll give you a
quick example. We've had callers that are paying high interest credit cards and late fees and all kinds of stuff on their home and trying to enter into agreements with their mortgage company and they get screwed and they honestly probably should have filed the bankruptcy a year before they even called because all that money they wasted over that year, they could have still had or at least structured it the proper way to spend down, say secure debt or stuff that stuff that should have
been spent down. But it's it's really nuts. People need to call the second you think you're in trouble, if that, if it's in your brain that maybe I should think of a bankruptcy. It's not as scary as you think. It really isn't. There's a lot of like in your house, how much can you have equity in your house? Gigi? Two hundred and fifty thousand, and if you're disabled or over sixty three hundred and fifty thousand, and then if you're married, it's what five hundred? No, most
just one per house. Oh that's it now allowed to have one house? Okay, so either that you live in so yeah, no's that's more than double what it used to be. It's it's quite generous. Well, I just been trying to stress. I know there's people out there that have been thinking about it. They never really talk to anybody, Gigi or Michael, talk to you for free, absolutely, and don't believe the banks they want you to think it's you know, it's a really terrible thing. Oh my
god, and it's not. The banks do fine, and the people who file bankruptcy do even even better. Yeah, the debtors, I mean, honest to goodness, they will do anything in the world to talk to you out of Go with a sure thing Denver's Best roofer Excel Roofing dot com. in. It's a twenty twenty one jeep Gladiator. And what dealership did he say? Guys, do we know? No, he didn't say. He didn't say, Hey, what dealership hasn't been in for a month. I'm sorry, what dealership has it been in? I'd rather not say at this point than you've been working with me on it. Why are they saying it's gonna be Why are they saying what's going on? Are they saying the engine
back ordered? What do they say? Well, right now, they're not saying that much as in basically, it was making noise on the top end they've rebuilt their heads on one side, they've rebuilt their heads on the other side. They've replaced the other parts and stuff like that, and it's still doing it. And it's still doing it. Okay, hold on, hold on, I got to ask my experts something. What he just said drives me crazy. I don't know why. I don't know if that's normal.
But we've had two engines replaced under warranty, one with one hundred and ten thousand miles a Hondai where they extended it, and then another one with like eighty thousand miles, both of them. Both of them, they didn't try to rebuild anything. They send a new engine and swap it out. Is that what jeep does? They try to literally fix it. Yeah, because the problem is in the heads and the cams, and that's three sixteep. That's the problem. So it's an inherent issue. It's a known problem.
Oh my god. But at this point that they have done all that and it still has that noise. So they've even put a new cam in it and everything like that. So I guess kind of my question is is it unreasonable to go and request or demand a new motor on it? They keep throwing parts at it. It keeps having the issue and it keeps getting delayed. Yeah, I would be definitely, I'd be living. Yeah, I mean you're talking, this is crazy. Hold on, man, I got
to take this. I want to think about this over break and maybe what we can do. I mean, you don't want to give the name out on air. I guess I can respect that at at this point, but maybe we have a deputy call over there and just kind of see what's in their brain. Why are they doing this. I'm dying to know.
