The first two seasons of The Minx, the first two seasons one of my favorite shows in the world, Somebody Somewhere Deep playing House. She's awesome, you know her. Lennon Parham is here today. You can't see me in Somebody Somewhere, but I directed two episodes in season two and

it is one of my favorite shows separate. It is one of the It's it's just it's such a standout for how different it is than most things that are made today. It's such a simple, beautiful thing. And again, like you can't you hope that there's chemistry on a show, And there's so much chemistry on that show that's between Yeah, the Jeff Hiller, who's I remember him from commercial days and stuff like that, and he's just he's incredible.

Yeah, great show. Somebody somewhere, Lennon, what charity are you playing for today? I think two? But should I pick one? Yeah? You could pick whichever one's close, nearest and dearest to your heart. Okay. I give to these folks every month. This is an organization called Color of Change. I heard about this organization from a woman named Heather McGee who wrote a book called The Some of Them Us, one of the best

books I've read. Racism Costs Everyone. Yeah, it's an incredible I mean, just to find like economically, I'm not like I don't love to read about economics, but it's just really fascinating what racism does to us economically. I will read to you now, hold on. I just want to read the actual thing from their website so that I get it right. Okay. The mission of Color of Change. Color of Change is the nation's largest online

racial justice organization. We help people respond effectively to injustice in the world around us. So it feels like if you want to put your money where your mouth is as far as racial justice and supporting people that are on the ground doing the work, actually making the change, this is a really good place to put your money. That is fantastic. Again, that's Color of Change, Winter Lowers. We're happy to make a donation in your name to Color

but Change. And again, get that book by Heather McGee. The some of us read it, reread it, make notes. It's unbelievable. You can follow miss Parham on social media at lenin Parum all over the place. And now it's time to meet your opponent from us. Still Water that was the band's name from famous Yes Stillwater, Minnesota, the land of ten Thousand

Lakes. This guy, you've seen him everywhere. You've seen him on mad Men, The Devil Wears Prada, Summer of eighty four, which is a great little horror flick, the new movie BlackBerry, and also on the Minx My Strike Brother from Another Mother Rich Summer is here today. Hello, Mike and Lennon, what charity. Are you playing for good sir, Well, I'm playing for my friends at Everyday Action, Everyday Action. I'll read their little thing blurb off their website. Every Day Action safely, swiftly, and

legally. That's important rescues the leftover gourmet catered meals from TV and film sets, select grocery stores, corporate events, food festivals, and more, and delivers them to those in need, our local unhoused and underresourced communities of Los Angeles struggling with food insecurity. One of the founders of Everyday Action is Hillary Cohen, who was an AD on Mad Men and we stayed in light touch since then, and she had kind of invited me to be a part of

the organization earlier on. So I've gotten to do some events with them,

and I just think it's a really smart idea. Anybody who spent any time on a set knows that there is a profound amount of food waste, and these guys are The network is mostly pas and other ads that are sort of volunteering, and then there are a couple people on the payroll who just after work drive all around to all the sets and gather food and take it to where it can be put to good use, so I think that is beautiful again, win or lose, We're happy to make a donation to every Day

Action in you name. You could follow Rich Summer on all the social media platforms, but I think Instagram's your jam and that's the only one. Rich Summer. You know our contestants, you know what terrific charities they're playing for. But now it's time to get down to brass tacks and get back to the game and go over our answers for what seems like a challenging General Knowledge Round. But here we go. zero to zero. It's still anyone's game, No harm, no foul. No points. I'm just saying I've heard to be clear that there's there's no uh, no benefit, no harm, but no benefit. Here we go. She was the first female Supreme Court justice ever, Sandred O'Connor the late right. Yes, So let's do the male first. That was Lewis Brandeis brand Ice. Louis Brandeis was the first male

Jewish. They named it after him, being the first Jewish Supreme Court justice. And then the woman was the notorious R. B. Ruth Bader Ginsburg for question number two. Question number three, which band's first three studio albums were titled Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head and X and Y Lennon. What did you put for number three? I put Nirvana Vanavana. There they are, Rich, I didn't. Yeah, what what did you put? Rich? I put Coldplay? Cold Play The correct answer it out

Dave Kolia cut that's right. That deserves a splosh. Oh my god, that is great? And do you agree with Rich? I put Journey Smollette. Journey Smollette is the correct answer? Is Journey Smollette, wonderful actress? For question number four, that did all those things? But Dave Coolier, I mean I almost that almost garnered you a half point for Oh we can be cheeky some times. Yeah. Question number five, what is the capital city of the US State of Wyoming? Lenin? the Golden State Warriors were on a tear, so I guessed them. Then we have the clip Joint and the Warriors. We have the Milwaukee Bucks they did it, the other LA team, the Lakers. Rich, you should have gone with the Lakers and the Golden State Circle gets the square Lenin, Parhum gets the point with the Golden State Warriors, Steph Curry and the Boys.

That's him. Question number seven. Jeffrey Wright portrayed what incredible postmodernist neo expressionist artist in the biographical drama written and directed by a fellow artist, Julian schnobble Lenin what did you put for number seven? I put Basquiacht, Jean Michel Basquiat. Rich, what did you put? Robert Ross, Bob Ross, Bobby Bobby Ross, the man with the trees, pretty little trees.

Surprised you did not know that one, Lennon embarrassing. It was Owen Wilson that did a lot of people get Jeffrey right and Owen Witson mixed up. But it was Jeffrey Wright. Jeffrey Wright portrayed Owen Wilson portraying Bob Ross. He's that good. Yes, yes, the correct answer is Jean Michel Basquiat, Basquillacht for number seven. I just saw. We just went to the road as a family. Yeah, outing and you have you been there? Rich? Have not been? Have you been? My not recently? But

That's fine. He really didn't want to read it, but I was like, ready, that's we're going there tomorrow. And I learned all about his life and then I saw his paintings. Yeah he is.

I love his stuff makes me feel stuff every time I look at him, and I can just stare at him for many minutes on end in this space off into his work with the movie. It was the first time I remember seeing and knowing who Jeffrey Wright was, because he's so goddamn good in that movie. He's good and everything. Yeah, he's a real good actor. Yeah. All right. I'm going to change it based on I'm feeling like maybe you have a hint in there. So I'm going to say Stella Artois, Stella r TLAs lenin. Do you agree with that? Or did you go your own way? I think okay, I put Heineken, but now I think it might be Quervo or

something. I was thinking tequila, but I couldn't think of a tequila brand. So I was thinking Quervo as but I there are other famous brands of tequila, but I could not think of them, And so there we are. So is it Tequisa, the malt beverage that was flavored like a margarita. Yes, that is correct. Now that is not correct. But you might get a half point for bringing up Taquisa because that is a cut. A lot of people will bring up Zema because that's the easy one to go

to, But Taquisa, That's That's what I'm talking about. I will put you out of your misery. The most interesting man in the world was the spokesperson for those ekis. Wow, I was hoping, well, I was wrong anyway. I wrote Corona, and I scribbled that, wrote Medello, and then I wrote Corona again. And then when you said stellar, I was like, maybe there's a hint. There wasn't. Yeah, you were thinking I was way too clever. Then I was hoping you were a friend.

It was dose Ekis. We have our first scoreboard update after a very fun round one. We have Rich Summer with three points and Lennon Parham with four. It's four to three after one it is four to three as we enter our second of four rounds. Today it is our pop culture grab Bag Round two. Pop Culture grab Bag Today. In the grab bag, it is a film or movie round and more specifically, it's films based on their memorable character name. So I'm going to give you the year the film came

out and a number of the characters. You just have to give me the title of the film, and we're writing it down as well. We're writing it down. Okay, there are eight questions, just like the first round. Here is question number one of eight. This film came out in nineteen ninety five. Okay, Keaton Fenster and verbal Kint. Verbal Kint? Is that third character, Keaton Fenster and verbal Kin? I think is his name? Question number one? It came out in nineteen ninety five. Name that

Nineteen eighty six was the year Ed Rooney, Sloan Petersen, and Cameron Frye named that film that came out in nineteen eighty six. For question number two, Ed Rooney, Sloan Peterson, and Cameron Fry for number two. All right, here's question. Number three. Came out in two thousand and five. Two thousand and five was

the year Tibby, Lena, Carmen and Bridget. Uh oh, the names are Tibby, Lena, Carmen and Bridget. This is a tough one. So I'm going to give you a couple of the actresses names, a couple of the actresses names that are in this that play Tibby, Lina, Carmen and Bridget. I'm going to go, oh, did you already get it? If she's got it, don't give hints. If she's got it, have you got it? Then? Yeah, I don't. I'm it's context

clues. I don't really know. But if you want to give us some of them as one of them married to a guy that owns, do you need a hint? Rich, Well, I don't know the answer. If that's what you're asking the person, I'll give you the hint of the person she is talking about. Blake Lively is one of the four ladies that are in that film from two thousand and five, Tibby, Lena, Carmen and Bridget. Okay, I'm gonna take a swing. I don't think it's right, but I'm going to go for it. Okay, great, thanks.

For question number eight, name Matt film Okay, I got I got it? I got it, cu guy, I was excited about something Okay. For once, I felt freedom to pencils

down. Let's go over your answers. In the pop culture brat bag, these were films based on their memorable character names. Question number one was from ninety five Keaton Fenster and Verbal kint Rich. What did you get? For number one? I put the usual suspect, usual suspects, A little tip of the cap to Casablanca, round up the usual suspects, Lenon, What did you put? I had literally no idea and so I said Office Space, Office Space. That's a great fucking film. But the correct answer is

the usual suspects, The usual suspects. I think. I think Keaton was Gabriel Byrne, Fence, there was Benicio del Toro, an Herbal Kint. Yeah, yeah, I want my kid to watch this movie. I love that movie. It's good. It's good. I say. Gabriel Byrne has a line in it where he says, you're making me tired all over. I say it every day to my children. You're making me tired over. It's great. What happened to Gabriel Byrne? Gabriel Burne? I miss you? Just to be doing fine? Yeah he did. He was in Hereditary.

Uh huh. I think it was just a few years ago. But I wonder if he's on a show or something that I'm not watching, because that's probably where maybe there are hundreds, yeah, home or something. Question number two is from eighty six. Well I should say you do Edward Jay Rooney, you're an asshole, Sloan Peterson and Cameron Fry who just lives down my street, Lenin, What did you put for number two? Anyone? Anyone? Farris Buehler's day off, Ferris Bueller's day off? Rich, what

did you put? I put the same thing, Ferris Bueler's day off. It is Ferris Buehler's day off for number two. Question number three from two thousand and five, Tibby Lena, Carmen and bridget I gave the hint that Blake Lively was one of the actresses that portrayed those characters. Tibby, Lena, Carmen and Bridget Rich. What did you put? For number three? The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? Lenin?

What did you put? That's it? The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. That would be the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pantaloons for number three? That answer deserves a huzza. Question number four nineteen ninety five Debo Debo's Coming by Felicia and Smoky from What Comedy Lennon For number four, what Shindler's List? Didn't you how Stella got her groove back? Ah? Not a bad guess. How Stella got a groove back? Rich? Do you agree with that?

Absolutely? Not? It is well debos would tip me off? Citizen Kane Ah, So close. I want to give it to you. It's I always mix these two up, Citizen Kane, but the correct answer is Chris Tucker and ice Cube in Friday. It's a Day. Yeah, Debo's the bully by Felicia, and then Smokey is Chris Tucker's character from Friday. Question number five was from nineteen seventy nine Dallas Kine and the one that I think would give you the hint Ripley Rich what did you put for number five?

Alien? Alien? Lenin? What did you put? Alien? Ripley played by Sigourney Weaver. It is Alien for number fine nineteen seventy nine through me because I didn't remember that that film was that old. Yeah it is. It's kind of crazy, yeah, and it's crazy that that movie came. It feels like late eighties, early nineties, like Tonally, it's like was way ahead of its time, right read and even the way it was made too. The look of it, You're like, Jesus, it's kind of

like Star Wars in seventy seven. You're like, I can't believe you see other stuff from that era and it's terrible. It's schlocky and the special effects are laughable. And then you're like, those movies kind of came out, those two and you're like, oh my god, yeah, yeah, two thousand and one blew the doors off, and then those two followed up and just made everything look incredible. Question number six was from twenty thirteen Patsy Edwin

Epps and Solomon Northup. Lennon, What did you put for number six? I really took a swing for the fences here with Hotel Rwanda, Hotel Rwanda. Rich. What did you put for number six? Not one hundred percent sure this is correct, but I do believe it is the brave little Toaster. Ooh, the brave little Toaster. Do you have kids? Rich? Of course? Why why do you ask? We had the Lupita Nyongo Michael Fastbender, and she would tell Elijah for in twelve years a Slave based on

the memoir of Solomon Northup, that we get twelve there's a slave. One best picture in twenty thirteen for number six. Number seven was from nineteen seventy Hawkkey, Radar and Hot Lips Hulahan Rich. I will have you guys know that in my senior year of high school, maybe junior year, one of those I won Best Actor at our drama Banquet for playing Lieutenant Colonel Henry Braymore Blake in Mash. Oh my was very exciting for me. I might have

cried a little bit when my fellow students chose me as the actor. Oh my god. Yeah, and it was Mash the musical. I believe if I've read that ride in your biography, you haven't got great news. Lennon, What did you put for number seven? In my Senior Drama Festival banquet, I won Best Supporting Actress for my portrayal of Rachel Lynde in Anne of Green Gables, and I put Mash Mash. I won Most Improved for playing Frank Ponceerello in our special Chips. It was Chips, the musical that we're

trying for now, that's none of that is true great. I referenced Chips in an improv show Friday night at the UCB Theater, and not one person the audience oh what I was talking about? And I was like, Chips, They sway Patrol. Oh my god. They made it even a movie like ten years ago about it too, So it's not even by Dak Shepard. Unbelievable. Yeah, that's my That's like my ninth circle of hell that like, I'm going to be that guy that's referencing stuff like you know,

it's already happening, and people are happening. How to hear you, old man happening already? Back to the game. Question number seven was, of course, Mash, the Robert Altman film version of Mash. And then question number eight, You guys got it, I think after the first name nineteen ninety five tied Dianna and cher Lennon. What did you put for number eight? Clueless? Clueless? Rich? What did you put? I've put clueless? Damn. You guys finished very strong. That was a tough round.

We're tabulating the scores. Oh my god, look at this. At halftime, we are tied at nine. Yes da, I'm talking about usual suspects crawling back nine to nine at having times nine times. It is nine to nine at halftime. And before we move on, I just wanted to reintroduce our guests. We're playing with Lennon Parum. You can follow her on social media at lenin Parum, and she is playing for the wonderful charity Color of

Change. And we're also here with Rich Summer. You can follow him on social media at Rich Summer and he's playing for the excellent charity every Day Action. We are all squared away at nine as we enter our third of four rounds. It is the dreaded Lightning round. Round three, the lightning round. We are tied, but we're going to go ladies first since it's a tie ballgame. So you can choose from either of these three lightning round headings.

Again, these thing to do with the question or the answers. But since it is kind of a blustery cold day out here, you can choose from some of my favorite things that I used to come in from sledding or ice skating. And you could choose either Campbell's tomato soup, spaghettios, or a fried baloney sandwich. Maybe you're poison classic Campbells Campbell's tomato soup and a grilled cheese. Are you kidding? Mike? Where did you grow up?

I grew up in the midwest and northwest Indiana, a little town called Chesterton, which is right by Lake Michigan. So you can catch some snow there, lake effect, lake effect snow, sure, lake effect all the time. All right, So you choose Campbells tomato soup. I'm gonna say the question twice. I'm gonna say, go, I'm gonna hit the button. You're gonna have twenty seconds to say as many things as possible. Lenny Rich, jot some answers down, because I'm gonna come to you with your five

second rebuttal as soon as her twenty seconds are up. Lennon, here is your Campbell's tomato soup. Lightning round question. Can you give me the top nine countries with the most nuclear weapons? Top nine countries of the world that have the most nuclear weapons that we know of. Twenty seconds on the clock and ago, the United States, Russia, South Korea, North Korea, India, Japan. I'm going to say Britain, United Kingdom, and I'm going to say Turkey and Vietnam. Stop. You did excellent, you did

great. You got one, two, three, four, You got five of them. You got Russia, the United States, the UK, India, and North Korea. Excellent job. Rich. Your chance to try and steal some that she didn't get. There's still four on the board. Five second rebuttal, the top nine countries with the most nuclear weapons. Five seconds and ago, China. I'm done. I'm done. You stop coming full

one. You got China you stole on they were number four. The one that I think people oftentimes are surprised of, but they have a lot of nuclear power that does a lot of stuff for them is France. France is number three on the list. Israel Israel number six, and then since India has them, Pakistan has to have them between their border disputes and whatnot. So Pakistan was number eight on the list. But you guys did wonderful in

the Campbell's Tomato Soup Lightning round question. Now, Rich, it's your turn in the barrel. You can choose either a bowl of spaghettios with maybe some cut up hot dog in it, or a fried Boloney sandwich. Spaghettios Spaghetios. Here we go, spaghetti O's here's your Spaghetio's question. The fried boloney sandwich was kind of a food and drink question that'll just go back in the

hopper for a future game. Here's your Spaghettio's question. I'm gonna read it twice, twenty seconds on the clock, and you want to jot some answers down because I'm coming to you with your five second rebuttal as soon as Rich is done. Rich, what I want to know from you the top nine largest college football stadiums. Name the school or university so you don't have to name the name of the stadium because they all have weird names named after like

dead people and stuff. But the biggest that have the most capacity, These are all like pretty much over one hundred thousand seats in these stadiums. Name the college or university that plays their games at these huge stadiums. Top nine in the US. Twenty seconds and go Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, yep, you know somewhere in Kentucky, probably UCLA, probably not I don't do sports. The Cleveland Browns. You got two. You got two

of the top three. You got U of M. The Big House in Michigan, the one the big Yeah, yeah, that's number one Michigan. And then number three the Horseshoe for the Ohio State University. Lenin your chance to steal some answers. Five seconds on the clock. Top nine largest college football stadium is named the college or university that plays there. Five seconds and go, oh Miss, Alabama, FSU, USC UCLA. You stole Bama down in Tusca Loosa. They play for like one hundred thousand people. Bama.

The role TIEDE was number seven on the list. Let's go over the ones we didn't get to. Number two in Happy Valley, another big ten school, Penn State has a huge stadium. Number four. You got Texas, A and M. The Aggies play in a huge stadium. LSU Louisiana State, Tennessee, Rocky Top Texas, HOOKM Horns Texas. They keep adding to their stadium. They all keep adding to their stadiums. So yeah,

I've ended that way. Yeah. And then Georgia the Bulldogs have a state as well, So Lenin, you get minus three for not saying Georgia. I should have said from embarrassing. I'm embarrassed. Ah. So we're tabulating our scores after a very fun lightning round, Rich Summer with twelve points and Lennon takes the lead fifteen to twelve. After three it is fifteen to twelve as we enter our fourth and final round between you two, and it is

the Theodore Double Duty Radcliffe Round Round four. The double Duty. We call it the double Duty because points are doubled, and today it's an extra special double duty round because usually we have nine questions, but there are ten questions. Oh my God. In this double duty round, there are twenty very large points up four grabs. When you said Radcliffe, I was thinking Daniel Theodore. Ah. And today we have one of our favorite rounds from our

listeners. It is a theme round. It's a theme round. So again i'll explain this to everyone playing at home. The first nine out of ten questions will seemingly be general knowledge questions, and question ten as always, what is the theme of this round? So how do you find the theme? It's within your answers. The more answers you get correct out of the first

nine should illustrate where my brain was thinking on this theme round. So we know what the theme round is. There are ten questions in this theme round. Here is question number one. Name the four letter French dessert? That is a baked dish consisting of filling over a pastry base, but with the open top so the top is not covered with pastry like a pie. Is

name the four letter French dessert? It's a baked dish consisting of filling over a pastry base with an open top that is not covered with pastry for question number one. question number two? Question number three, which cocktail consists of vodka? I read somewhere that that could be gin, but it's mostly vodka and grapefruit juice over ice. Again, let me repeat that. What cocktail consists of vodka? Sometimes gin and grapefruit juice over ice? For question number three? All right, Question number four, it's kind of long winded. What one word film from nineteen forty that was based on the nineteen thirty eight Daphney du Morier

novel of the same name was Alfred Hitchcock's US directorial debut. It was Hitchcock's first movie in the States. What one word film from nineteen forty that was based on the nineteen thirty eight Daphne du Morier novel of the same name was Alfred Hitchcock's US to rectorial debut. Name that film for question number four. Question number five, what was the name of the blue eagle on the Muppet Show? What was the name of the blue eagle? Kind of the furrowed

brow, the huge unibrow on the Muppets. For question number five, what was his name? All right? Question number six, we are zooming right along in your the Theodore Double Duty Radcliffe round. This is a theme round. Question number six, Name the film that was Diablo Cody's debut screenplay in which she won both an oscar and a Bafta. For question number six, name the film that was Diablo Cody's debut screenplay in which she won both an

oscar and a Bafta. For question number six, we have arrived at question number seven. Question number seven, what do US Presidents Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Harrison, James Garfield, and Ulysses S. Grant have in common? Again? For question number seven, what the US presidents Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Harrison, James Garfield, and Ulysses S. Grant all have in common? For question number seven? Question number eight, This might be a tough question.

Name the American statistician that founded the website five thirty eight. You always hear this person's name when there's a nuts Yeah, name the American statistician that founded the website five thirty eight. Anytime there's an election general or midterm, this person's stats get bandied about a lot for question number eight, can you name that statistician? For number eight? Nope? Well maybe no it was Can you name him? Was the actual question? Yes or no? For you?

No? Correct for me? Yes it is correct God. And finally, question number nine is your final kind of general knowledge question in this theme round? What is the capital city of the state of Virginia? What is the capital of Virginia? For question number nine? And finally, question number ten is what is what in the hell is the theme of this round? All right, pens down or pencils down. Let's go over your answers for a lengthy double duty radcliff round ten questions today, and it was a theme

round. Seemed quite difficult. Let's find out what's what here? Question number one of ten named the four letter French dessert. That's a big dish consisting of filling over a pastry base with an open top. There's no the top isn't covered with pastry like a pie. Lnin what did you put? For number one? Tart? Tart? Rich? What did you put? I put the same tart and tart It is a tart for number one? Question number two, what do Brits call a crispy or cookie rich biscuits a biscuit,

Lenin, What did you put biscuit, biscuits and biscuits? It's biscuits. Question number three, what drink consists of vodka and sometimes gin and grapefruit juice over ice? Linen? I put down goose first because grey goose is a famous gin, but then I cross that out, and then I put it's actually a vodka, isn't it grey goose? Okay? And then I put greyhound? Hey, gray Oh you got rich? What did you're solserhound? Greyhound and greyhound? You guys are killing this. It is a greyhound?

Is that vodka? Drink with grape for juice sometimes gin? If you like gin? Three for three, So the score is still where it's at. That's a three point game. Going into question four, what one word film from nineteen forty was based on the nineteen thirty eight Daphne du Maurier novel of the same name. That was Alfred Hitchcock's US rectorial debut, Mister Summer. Rebecca Rebecca Lennon, How is it? That's it? I put Laura, Laura. There's also a famous like Cole Porter song. I was like,

it's got to be. But but Laura is not a French name, so it is, in fact Rebecca. Yeah, Rebecca was Hitchcock's directory of the debut, named after that wonderful novel by Daphney Dumoury. If for a question for it was Rebecca and the score inches closer. Oh my god. Question number five, what was the name of the blue Eagle on the Muppet Show? Lennon, I am not a Muppets person, and I guessed Uncle

Sam Rich What did you put? It is Sam the Eagle, so you got yes, I will give you two points a piece because he was kind of he was kind of after Sam Donaldson, the news Man. He kind of looks and sounds like a cross Sam donald So it's Sam. So I think I have I think I know what the theme is. Question number six Name the film that was Diablo Cody's debut screenplay in which she won both an oscar and a Bafta Rich Juno Juno Lenin? What did you put? Juno

Juno is correct? You are killing this game. Question number seven? What did the US President's Abe Lincoln, Benjamin Harrison, James Garfield, and Ulysses ask Grant all have in common Lenin. I didn't know this, so I did two answers, both of which I think might be wrong now that I am getting to figure out what the theme is. I put born in Illinois, slash taller than six feet. Ooh, those are great guesses, Rich, What did you put? Beards? Beards? The correct answer is all

four of those dudes sported beards. They were all bearded presidents. Question number eight, name the American statistician that founded the website five thirty eight that you always hear around election time? Rich, what did you put? Nate Silver? Nate Silver, Lenin? What did you put for number eight? I did not know this. I put Ben Sinclair and then I crossed that out

because that's not right. And then I put Ben Foster. I crossed that out, and I was like Ben something, because I was thinking of the guy on CNBC or something. Anyway, His name isn't Ben either, but it felt like the kind of person that would say those things is a Ben. Oh, all these wonderful actors. Ben. The correct answer is Nate Silver. Nate Silver that came up and founded five thirty eight For question number eight. And finally, question number nine was your final kind of general knowledge?

Question is what is the capital of the US state of Virginia, Lenin, I got I don't Fairfield, Virginia rich What did you put Charlotte? Charlotte wrong? Both wrong? Question number nine was what was the capital of Virginia? You said Fairfield and Charlotte. The correct answer is Richmond, rich Richmond, Virginia. So number ten it all comes down to this, what is the theme of this round, rich Summer. What did you get for number ten? I'm only going to use answers four and five and say cheers,

and I'm going to ignore all the rest of the answers. Oh, I gotcha, I gotcha. That makes a lot of sense. Great, Rebecca and Sam cheers, Lennon, what did you put Ted Lasso? Ted Lasso? So we have Tart as in Jamie Tart. Ted always brings his boss biscuits. They are the AFC Greyhounds. Rebecca's the boss. Sam Obasanie is one of the players. Juno Temple plays Kei Lee coach Beard. Nate is the assistant coach and his hair turns silver in season two or three when

he becomes bad. They are the AFC Richmond Greyhounds. The theme of this is Ted Lasso. So we're tabulating this very close score. We have Lennon Parham with twenty seven points and Rich Summer with twenty I knew it points, but I knew it. Congratulations, we have yet another comeback. Twenty eight to twenty seven is your final score. Rich Summer, you are, in fact the smartest person in the world for one cotulations. Thank you, Lennon.

So that was one of our That was one of my favorite games of all time. But the game is not over. We still have to enter our final phase of the game. It is the final throw down, the final throwdown. This is where Annie, our producer, will come back and give us kind of a one off question. Rich. Since you won,

you'll get first crack at an answer. Lennon, you can talk about some stuff. I'll throw in my two cents. We could discuss what we're going to come up with, and then we're going to learn a little something something about the answer to this wonderful question that Annie's got. So, Annie, if you are ready, throw up the final throwdown question. I'll read it to everyone a couple times and then we'll start our discussion. Here.

Here's the question, what do Americans spend the majority of their budget on? What do Americans spend the majority of their budget on? A Rich If you want to start us off, boy, I guess food. Food's a good guess, Lennon, do you got any ideas from My first thought was food, and then I thought maybe it's like the their shelter, like their their

rent, their mortgage. Yeah, housing and food are the two things that popped into my head, and I housing was number one on my list because I know, you know, you're not supposed to spend that much of your budget. But I just know with how high rents have been that like a lot of people are spending like fifty percent of their budget on just rent or a mortgage or whatnot. But your right, food has been expensive as hell since the pandemic, and you're spending so much for food just to stay alive.

I think those are great. So if it's something else, if it's like could be like transportation, like your car, well, but that's not going to be the majority of your budget. Yeah, only oh my god, only fans is Yeah, newspapers those are the things of today. They've gone up to three bucks a pop. Can you believe it? All Right, so we got we got housing, we got food. Any other ideas

before we reveal our answer here. I think those are good guesses. I think we're going to go with that housing, yeah, and food right there, So Annie reveal the answer and then we're going to learn a little something something about this. Here we go, it's housing. Let's learn a little bit about this the average Sure, yeah, Lennon, you are co the smartest people. We share, we share. We'll go back to our Yes, so it is housing, and let's learn about this. The average US

consumer spends about twenty five grand a year on housing. This accounts for about a third of their annual budgets. This is the average, so there's people that, yeah, even spend more than that. The largest housing increase in twenty twenty two is for lodging on out of town trips that went up thirty eight percent, And the next two largest categories are transportation, followed by food. So we kind of hit three of those things. But housing is the

most expensive thing that US Americans spend our money on. Well, you two, it was a pleasure to have you on the pod, giving us one of the greatest games of all time.
