Name her for question number seven, for your penultimate question in the general knowledge round. Here we are. We have arrived at the final question of round one, question number eight. Those letters you see on the bottom of just about every evite or invitation

R s v P comes from what French phrase? Can you spell out the French phrase of R s v P four question number eight? Awesome? Well, pencils down. We will go over your answers in just a second, but it's time to introduce our incredible Jeopardy champs that are here playing against each other. We'll start off with this guy born in Jersey, right, Yes, that's correct, New Jersey. Born in Jersey. But you've been everywhere. You've lived in Phoenix, Arizona, and Hoboken and Taipei. You're now

here in Los Angeles. When you were on Jeopardy, you won four games. You made it to the semi finals of the twenty twenty one Tournament of Champions. You're a legal technology professional and also can we say you're a professional poker player. I'm not a professional of these days. It's semi professional, semi pro. You're a semi pros upon a time. Yes, our friend Ryan Hemil is here today. Yes, thank you, thank you. It's been it's been honored to be here. Yeah. Yeah, and Ryan,

what charity are you playing for this evening? I am playing for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. It's a grassroots organization focused on destigmatizing mental illness, providing support for those that are dealing with mental illness. My dad was was bipolar, so definitely a close personal connection. And you know something that I'm very passionate about. Beautiful Yes, Nami dot O r G the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Win or Lose. We're happy to make a donation in

your name to that wonderful charity. You can follow mister Hamil on social media. You can follow him at Ryan Hamill on Twitter and at r A. Hamill on Instagram. Thanks for being here, but now it's time to meet your opponent. You're worthy opponent. You guys both spent time in Phoenix. Isn't that something? But you were born in Buffalo, you were born upstate New York, but you just moved to Dallas recently. Correct, that's right?

Yeah, I was a Buffalo to Phoenix, to Albuquerque to Dallas, and I'm making my way east somebody in Louisiana in a couple of decades. Fantastic. Your Jeopardy resume is something to behold. You won nineteen games in a row when you were on Jeopardy, and you made it to the Tournament of Champions. Did you make it out of the quarterfinals or no? I did make it out of the quarterfinals. No, thanks to my opponents,

but I was able to. I was in a situation I did not want to be in a situation where I was like, how much should I wager if I get it wrong? I don't want to cost myself. I was where I had to go all in. I thought and get it right, and I personally did on Final Jeopardy so that I can go and lose in the in the semis instead. What did you lose too? I lost to Jennifer Quaile. Oh my gosh, who She's untouchable at Final Jeopardy, untouchable

daily levels. She's worthy a moment. Yeah. We had her and Veronica play each other not too long ago, and just just just tremendous. Everyone we've had on again. You guys I think our numbers nine and ten from your group, and everyone has been just the best. Like your group. There's something special you know about that group. For sure. You're a math teacher and you're also the coach of your high school quiz Bowl team. That's how I got into trivia kind of. The first thing was my senior year

in high school was getting on the quiz Bowl team. Our friend Jason Zuffernieri's here today. Yes, thank you, thank you so much for having me, Mike it is. It is a real honor to be here. And yeah, quiz bowle is. I came late to the game. I started in and like when I was a senior in college, no less, and I haven't put the buzzer down. And now I'm on the other side of the table. We just had practice today and indeed even yesterday due to how

the scheduling worked out. And it's fun and these players would wax me. So yeah, I'm glad I got out when they gettin was good. And they have an age restriction on Jeopardy. What charity are you playing for today?

So there's a Texas based organization. I'm new to town here and I asked around and a couple of students I trust very much said that Heroes for Children, it's actually an organization that they're part of the leadership board for among among high school students, and it's a group that it's so terrible when anyone

gets cancer, especially when children get cancer, is just devastating. And these families they get some materials support, some financial support from this Texas based organization, but also what I really like, they actually get social assistance as well. Just tickled that we could have them represented here in the show. That's so great. Yeah, right, just like to feel normal when you're going through something that's so abnormal and awful and traumatic and whatever, but just to

feel like a kid for a second is so important. So fantastic playing for Heroes for Children. You can follow Jason. He's on Facebook at jv Z I t I on the Facebook. Yeah, Heroes for Children and NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. So great having you boys here. But now it's time to get back to the game. Let's go over our answers for round one and get our first scoreboard. Oh date of the day,

here we go. General knowledge, they're right questions in this round? Question number one, what very famous inventor, famous hockey player, and famous Saturday Night Live alum are all from the town of Brantford, Ontario. I was asking for two out of the three. We'll start with you, Ryan. What did you put for number one? Well? I tried to get all three, but the two that I starred were Alexander Graham Bell and Wayne Gretzky. Alexander Graham Bell, Wayne Gretzky. Great guesses, Jason, did you

agree with that or did you come up with something on your own? So I have three names listed, but I said I would go with the top two on my list, and I don't feel so confident now, but Gretzky for sure. And it just dawned on me. There is more than one Canadian snl are, but I chose dan Ackroyd. O great guess? Is the correct answer is Alexander Graham Bell. He's the inventor from Brantford, Ontario.

The hockey player was the great one, Wayne Gretzky, and there were there were a handful of Canadian Mark McKinney and Mike Myers and dan Ackroyd. It is the late great Phil Hartman. Phil Hartman is from Brantford, Ontario. I did I did. I wouldn't have gotten that one, and I was so kind of tickled to learn that. I was like, that's kind

of incredible. Three incredible people from that town. Question number two. Name in the Lebanese or Syrian salad made up of finely chopped parsley tomatoes, mint, onion, bulgar wheat, olive oil, lemon, juice, salt, and pepper. Jason, what did you put for number two? I'm not sure how to spell it, but I put tabuli tabuli? Ryan, what did you put? I put a T A b o U l a h. That's the right spelling. The correct spelling is t A b b o U l e h. It is tobuli close enough. No counting for spelling

on this one. You both got that one. Thank thank goodness, Jason is off the schneide officially, all right, here you go, watch out, now, watch out. Question number three what singer of Santa Baby? He played Catwoman on the nineteen sixties Batman TV series. Ryan, This one was a little before my time. I was not around in the nineteen sixties. So and for a Johnson, luckky Johnson, you might get a point for that one. That's great, Jason, did you fancy a guest for

number three? So? I don't believe it is Julie Numar. I believe it is Eartha Kit. That's my answer. She could do that purring sound that was otherworldly. It is the late great Eartha Kit. Eartha Kit. Question number four. I think you guys both got this one. What New Orleans school's nickname is the Green Wave? Jay Z? What did you put to Lane University? Tu Lane? The green Wave of two Lane? Ryan? What did you put? Yes? I also put a Tulane. I

saw them play Army at West Plaint when I was very young. Wow, beautiful. The correct answer is the Green Wave of Tulane Tulane University in New Orleans. Yeah. Check out their football helmets. This year they went back to their like old timey mascot and it's awesome. Such a cool helmet. Uh. Question number five literature slash film. So they made a film out of the book. Uh, Laura is the love interest of what titular character? Ryan? I think that was doctor Zavago doctor Javago. Great guest,

Jason, what did you put? I also put doctor Javago from Boris Pastor Nak It is doctor Shavago is that Omar Shariff that played him in the film number five, Doctor Javago, Uh moving it was? I thought it was Bobcat gold Weight. Yes, I always get those guys mixed up. Yeah, yeah, like two majestic yea, Oh my god. Now I want to see someone like just use ai every line from Omar Shariff into a Bobcat gold Weight doing it. It could be like a deep fake type of yeah

too. We could get him lass on there too. Yeah, that's terrific. We're up to. Question number six was your geography question? The Kalahari Desert covers significant parts of South Africa and what two other neighboring nations I think, Jason start us off on number six. Do you want both of them that I put? Yes, Sir Okay, I said Namibia and Botswana? Botswana and Namibia. M Ryan, what did you put? I had the same order for a different order, but the same answer at Botswana and Namibia.

I was a little worried about the su Tuo, but those are the two that I've put. Saw. The correct answer is you got Botswana and then you also got Maybe that answer deserves a huzzah, Nicky. Yeah, you guys are smart. You guys are smart. Don't second guess yourselves. You got it. It is Botswana and Namibia. All right, good job, Ryan? Yeah. Question number seven named the infamous CEO of the Health Flash biotech company, Sarah knows, Ryan, what did you get from number

seven? That was Elizabeth Holmes? Elizabeth Holmes, Miss Holmes, if you're nasty, Jason, what did you put? I also put Holmes? Yeah, it is Elizabeth Holmes dressing like Steve Jobs and had that very strange gaze and voice. Home, my gosh, how did how did Who's in the movie? Who played her? I think Amanda Sea he played her and wonderfully well. And then the documentary that I saw, I think it was maybe

an HBO documentary or something was just unreal. Highly recommend to watch. And finally, question number eight r SVP that we see on all your invites and evites comes from what French phrase? Jason respond the CBOO play responding sevoot play? Ryan? Do you agree? Or did you go your own way? Yeah? That's what I put, respond who play? Yeah? I always thought it was responde. That's my mistake because it is who play? Who play? So you guys got it? You guys, We'll take it.

You guys, pray you got all that stuff. We have our first score update after one and maybe should have made it even harder because you guys are tied at seven. It's seven all after one? Ryan, what color do you want? I mean, you're tied, so I'll just give you first DIBs. I'm gonna take red seven All that makes jay Z blue. So before we move on to the pop culture grab bag, let's start off talking about your Jeopardy journeys and just like how you guys got on the show.

What were your story likes of, Like how many years it to take you to get on there? Do you have any fun facts or weird things about just like passing that first test and the call in or did you do it in person? Or was pandemic already gone? We'll start with you Ryan. Yeah, so I grew up watching Jeopardy. Actually got into the Jeopardy video game for Nintendo sixty before growing out. My friends and I obviously were very cool to play at Jeffardy on the sixty before pretty much every weekend. Yeah,

what games do you guys play? Zelda? But yeah, anyway, so I had tried out for the show you know in college, tried to get into the college version, never got an audition. Tried a few times after college, no audition, and then unfortunately COVID hit they were looking for

contestants in the LA area. Had done my online test thing is before COVID actually like January of twenty twenty, got a call for an audition, did like the they split it up doing just like the the you know the test first past that got into a mock game, and yeah, I got the call a few months later and yeah, my Jeopardy by the Zoom audition. I actually was also in there with John Folk, who's in this current Tournament of Champion. So that that audition produced at least two feature TiO sis.

That's pretty awesome. Yeah, of that happening are pretty slim because they give you those stats, I think one to kind of just make you feel good about being, you know, on Jeopardy when they're like, you know, how many people took the test, how many people made it to the second round of tests, and then like four hundred of you made it on the show this season and that's it. Yeah, so for you and John to

be the same Zoom audition is unreal. That's so cool. Yeah. I think they said like two hundred thousand, two hundred thousand at least season season thirty seven. Yeah, that's awesome, Jason. What about you? So I'm going back into the nineties. I was always They're like, oh,

you're the smartest kid in our great and all that so cool. So I tried it for the high school thing and actually it was where you had to send in the postcards, you know, because there was no internet or very little of it, and they drew one of my fifty one postcards that were sent in, and I went to LA and failed the test. And then I went as a college student and failed the test. I went to the shopping mall and failed the test. And then in the two thousands I started

passing the test and failing the interview until about twenty seventeen. I think it was actually in my hometown of Phoenix was where the the in person second round thing was, you know, and I was I was totally geared up to get ready for every two years you have to kind of get into the get

into the pool again. So totally ready to do it again in twenty nineteen, and I actually got the call right about two years after that interview, and right at the end of I mean, they accelerated the taping and I think they were like, let's just get some names we know, like from our file. And I made it to like the last one of the last hapings of that season and then stuck around to be there for the following summer

and the start of the next season. Yeah. Yeah, so you you ended one season and then you since you had that winning streak, you win over to the second the next season. That's awesome. Yeah, super, I mean, very fortunate to how that all worked out. Yeah, how many games did you win and one and then start the other one? So I played the last game of the first taping, so I won one then

and I came back and somehow muddled through five more. I mean it was bloody, but I got through five more and then and then I had a whole summer to prep up and got back in. Yeah, and that's awesome because I've I know, people have kind of talked about that just in general. Even last year. It was like the year of the Mega Champ, how people would kind of go on these runs and win, you know, like ten in a row, but then they'd take a hiatus. When they'd

come back, they'd like lose kind of straight away or something too. After the big break you you bucked that trend. It was thirteen more. Yeah. I mean it was the perfect storm of like, so I'm a teacher and so I'm off for the summer, and you know, there was worked on in my house. I had to get out of the house. I would just be studying things in my phone, and it was just this great

diversion and and everything kind of worked out. And I like to point out, by the way, like all those other times I tried out and I was all pissed off that I didn't get on the show. And it's like, dude, if I would have gone on in the nineties as a college student whatever, I would have been just one and just waxed. So we'll talk a ton more about you guys. Got to play with Alex Trebek and the Tournament of Champions last year was incredible and just what life's been like down

the road. But it is seven to seven. Let's get back to the game and head and two our round two pop culture grab Bag eight questions. Once again, we're back to just writing your answers down. There are eight questions here and your category if your pop culture grab bag. I don't think we've done this before. It is TV cartoons by characters, So I'm gonna

give you a number of characters from these cartoons. You have to give me the show's title just based on a few three or four names from these cartoons. Let's see how we do here. Question number one in your grab bag the Great Gazoo, the Grand Poobah, and mister Slate. For number one, those are your characters from this cartoon. Just named the cartoon once again. Those characters are the Great Gazoo, the Grand Poobah, and mister Slate.

All right, moving right along to question number two, Summer Jerry Bird person and maybe my favorite character name of anything ever, mister Poopy Butthole. That's an actual character's name from this cartoon. Name this cartoon again, Summer Jerry Bird Person, mister Poopy Butthole. Keeping at highbrow. I see it is. This is yeah, this is we're showing off our intellects the animated Microsoft and carta. That was number two. Number three, here are your

names, stew Angelica d D and Tommy Pickles. They're all pickles. So you have stew Pickles, Angelica Pickles, D D Pickles, and Tommy Pickles for number three. All right, Question number four the midway point of your pop culture grab bag. These are TV cartoons by character. Here's number four, Race Bannon Hodge and Bandit the Bulldog. Race Bannon Hodge and Bandit the Bulldog. All right, here's question number five. Question number five, Carl

frylock Master, shake and meat wad. For number five, again, Carl frylock Master, Shake and meet wad. Name that cartoon. We are up. Numero says number six. Weird, Harold dum Donald and Bucky. Name that cartoon, number six, Weird, Harold dum Donald and a Bucky. All right, we're zooming through this round with just character names. It goes by two. Damn quick. We are at your penultimate question in your pop culture grab bag. Here are the characters for number seven, Ike Towley,

Wendy Testaburger, and Token. Those are the characters for number seven. Name that cartoon, Ike Towley, Wendy Testaburger, and Token. Taking me back, taking me back, taking it all the way back. And then for number eight, we might be taking it all the way back. I don't know. We'll see how how back we go on this one? Snarf Chetara, Momra and lion O name that cartoon. Snarf Chetarammra and lion O for number eight, your final question in this pop culture grab bag? All right,

all good, pencils down. Let's go over your answers for round two? Which was your pop culture grab bag? These were TV cartoons by character. We kind of went all over the map. Let's start with number one. Was the Great Gazoo, the Grand Poobah, and mister Slate was the one that probably gave it away for number one. Let's start with Jason in round two. Jason, what did you put for number one? I'm a member of the Loyal Order of the Water Buffaloes. In fact, I said

the Flintstones. Ryan, what did you put for number one? Well, it was a guest for me. But the Slate I put down, mister dun flint Stones. Yes, everything had rock rock connotations in that bedrock it is the Flintstones had the Great Gazoo, the Grand Poobah of the water Buffaloes with their blue hats with horns sticking out of our absolute yeah and uh yeah, mister Slade, I think ran the excavating company that friend worked at.

Question Jenny. Yeah. Yeah. One of my favorite things about the Flintstones though, and I bring it up all the time though, is like, as a kid, I thought it was pretty funny, but when I think back on it now, it's one of my favorite things. But it's when like a terra dactyl was like the needle for a record player, elephant was a shower and they would just look at the camera and go, it's a

living or whatever. Right, Yeah, that's great. It was kind of like mister roper on Three's company breaking the fourth wall and looking at the camera. I'm kind of smiling. I always thought that was just awesome. Question number two Summer Jerry Bird Person and mister Poopy Butthole Ryan, did you have a guest for this cartoon? I had a guess, and then I thought that was one of the later answers, So I just wrote down the Simpsons

just to have something. But that's definitely not right The Simpsons four number two. Jason, do you agree with that? I do not agree with this. Well. I agree with the Simpsons on many things, but this is Rick and Morty. Okay, a correct answer, Rick Sanchez, It is Rick and Morty where you would find mister poopy butthole. I just wanted to not watch, but I've heard it's pretty funny, so I should. It

took me a while I kept hearing people rave about it. I think I watched the first episode a couple of times and never got into it, And then during the pandemic, I watched it for like the third time, and then I watched four seasons straight in like a week. It's pretty remarkable. Question number three Stu Angelica dead and famously Tommy Pickles. For number three, Jason, what did you get? Rug Rats? Rug Rats? That's a nicktoone? Ryan, what did you put? This? One's definitely a squarely

in my nineties childhood. Rug Rats is in fact those rug Rats that were on Nickelodeon, the Pickles Klan. Question number four, Race Bannon, Hodgie and Bandit the Bulldog. Ryan thinks he's got this one on Lockdown? Ryan, What did you put for number four? Johnny Quest? John Quest? Jason, are you sure it's it's not a bow Jack Horseman? Are you sure that's a good guess? That's a good guess. But it is an old school that was probably from like the sixties. I think, Johnny Quest.

Yeah, Race Bannon was a guess like a bodyguard of some sorts. He has his friend Hadji and then yeah, bandit the bulldog that had the little bull's eyes around its eyes. Wow, Johnny Quest. Question number five was Carl Frylock Masters, Shake and Meet Wad. Jason, can you totally redeem yourself for number five? I don't think so. But this is Aquitine Hunger Force, Aqua teen hunger A long way to go though, Yeah, yeah, Ryan, lay it on us. What did you get? Yes,

an Aquitine Hunger Force. It is that cartoon Network show, The Aqua Teen Hunger Force. They sent a true story, yeah, based on it? Right? Yeah. Question number six fairly old school weird Harold Dumdonald and Bucky Ryan. What did you get for six? I had new idea on this one? Nothing, not even again. You were just like, I'm not even going to embarrass myself by guessing incorrectly. I respect that. I respect that. Jason. Do you remember this one and so more or less?

Yeah? So it's Fat Albert's or Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids something like that. That is exactly what it is. It is Albert, Yeah, Cosby Kids yeah, weird. Harold dmdonald was the guy that had like the pink lampshade kind of looking to me on his head. And yeah, Rudy Russell, oh nice, Yeah, all that stuff they'd watched, the brown hornet that was a grown hornet. Love it, love it. It was a lot more fun. This caused me something a lot more fun forty

five years ago. That's what sucks, is like, it was such a great show, and he just destroyed his legacy of doing good by being a monster. Yeah. Yeah. Question seven, Ike Tully, Wendy Testerberger and Token Jason, what did you get? South Park? South Park in Colorado? Ryan, what did you put? Yep, that's the one I originally put down for number two, and then I realized, oh, Ali was definitely south don't forget your tell. Yeah, Ike Tally, Wendy Testerberger and

Token are from South Park in its eighty seventh season or whatnot? Good at six eighty six spiel? Yeah, all right. Eight. I don't know how tough this one was. I actually collected this this comic book, so that's the reason I knew it. Uh snarf che Tara Mamra and Lion. Oh, Ryan, did you get an ansof on number eight? Did I put a ThunderCats and then in parentheses? Oh, Jason, do you agree

with that? Even? Did you put the hoe as well? I put in parentheses home with an exclamation point bonus credit, you get as many points as exclamation points. It is ThunderCats had all those those awesome character names led by Lion. Oh. Yes, we have a score update after that, very fun taking us back to our childhoods and whatnot. Cartoon round it is Ryan Hamil with thirteen and Jason z in the lead by one. It's fourteen to thirteen at halftime at our midway point. So here we are. We're

at the midway point with these two Jeopardy champs. It is fourteen to thirteen. Jason's in the lead. And before we move on to the lightning round, let's talk a little bit more about Jeopardy. And you two are blessed that you got to play some games with our dearly departed Alex Trebeks. So if you have any memories or stories you would like to tell us about the late great host of our favorite show, Jeopardy, go ahead and we'll start with you this time. Jason. So, I mean, he was so

good. He's as good as advertised, you know, and just super professional. A couple of things I had just funny reactions I got out of him because he I mean, he really does keep his distance because he treats all the contestants the same, whether it's your twelfth show or your first show. And that's one of the things that made him great. But I was I made like a forty eight dollars bet or something. I wanted my numbers to

come out perfectly, or fifty two. I wanted my numbers to come out so they ended in zeros because it was all screwed up for a couple of different reasons. And he looks at me, like I'm writing it down and he's at his desk and he just looks over because he can see all that, and it's like, what kind of wager is fifty two dollars? It was like it was like an intelligent one, sir, And sure enough I

missed it. So so I had that. And at another time when it was something with this, uh this dance comes from the French for small, something like that, and it's the minuets like minute like small. Okay, that makes a lot of sense. I don't know any better. I'm gonna free associates something and I know that like Petite is also small, said pet pet pettit four, Petite four. And he's like, he says, that's something you eat. It was a daily double. It was a daily double.

And he's like, that's something you eat. No, And I'm like, I'm really sorry. Oh my gosh, that is awesome. You're not so smart, are you? He's take, He's like undressing you on national TV. I think he was such a great judge of character that he knew who he could, like all can have fun with, and who he was Like someone's nervous or whatever, he makes them feel calm. But you were on there so many days. That's so cool that you got like getting ribbed

by it was like pretty awesome. Quite the honor. Yeah, I would have taken a lot more. God bless him. We miss him, yeah for sure. And then how about you Ryan? Yes, So my third game, I think it was the final jeopardy of the correct response and what is O O M? And so after the game, Alex comes over, walks over to us and just goes and we're all just chatting. They're going home, and it's just like the surreal moment. You know, he's just

like all into it was very very cool. Yeah. Unfortunately he uh he passed between my taping and my errand so it was, oh wow, just one of those you know, I was I think it was a Sunday mornam or I got up watching football. I got a text from from my good friend. It's just like, you know, you got on the show just in time. Yeah, what wow, crazy, we're taping this yeah right now. And it's like it was like two years ago, like almost like

yeah, right around this time, two years ago. It's like I remember, Yeah, hearing the news and you know, the famous people die every day and it's you know, something that you're really close to. It's sad, but that that one was one of the one of the hardest ones to ever hear. Its like we we all grew up with him for so many years. Thank you for regaling us with those awesome stories. That's so great.

We are playing with Jason Zuffernieri. You can follow him on Facebook at jv z I t I. He's playing for Heroes for Children, and then we have Ryan Hamil He's playing for NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness and you can follow Ryan at Ryan Hamill on Twitter and r a Hemil on Instagram. It is fourteen to thirteen as we get ready to go into our third round, Round three, the Lightning Round. Ryan, you are trailing,

so you get first crack at picking one of these three topics. Again, I gave them headings, but those headings have nothing to do with the questions nor the answers. But today you can pick from some famous trios. You can pick from Charlie's Angels, the Three Amigos, or run DMC for your Lightning Round question today A run DMC, Let's do it, Reverend Run Darryl Mack and jam Master j Let's get ready for this. There will be twenty seconds on the clock. I'm gonna say the question twice. Say go

hit the button. You're not writing anything down, You're just saying as many words as you possibly can in twenty seconds. Jason, you can write some stuff down because I'm gonna come to you for your five second rebuttal straight away to see if you can steal any answers that Ryan doesn't get to. I

think you're gonna do well on this question. Let's find out from you in your run dmc question, I need you to name the last nine Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom, the last nine Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom. Twenty seconds on the clock and a go Trust, May, Gordon Brown, Tony Blair, Cameron, Thatcher, Churchill's way more than nine oil. I'll see whould I missing limus. I think that's all I got. You did great. You got one, two, three, four, five, six,

You got six of them. You got Liz Trust, you got Theresa May, you got David Cameron, you got Gordon Brown, you got Tony Blair, and you got the iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher. That means there's three still left on the board. Your five second rebuttal Jason and a go Rishi Sunak and perhaps McMillan, perhaps not. That's all I got. That's all you got. You got one. You stole one from Ryan, So yeah, Rishi Sunak is the one that just became UK Prime Minister after Liz

Trust was there for a cup of coffee. You forgot the messy haired weirdo Boris. It reminds me of we had a heaving lightning round question. I forget who was playing. I think it was maybe Kevin uh Walsh and Ben Henry and the catory was like presidents with facial hair, and they named all of them except Abraham Lincoln. So it happens. It happens. You're thinking about all the deep cuts you got, like Gordon Brown, that's a deep cut. You got that one. Uh. The other one that you didn't

get was John Major, who was Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair. But you go right after Thatcher, I think, Greg yeah, yeah, right after exactly. But you guys did ex You got seven out of nine and again in no time at all. So you did wonderful in the run D M C category. Now it's time for Jason's turn in the barrel. Jason, you could choose Charlie's Angels or the Three Amigos for your lightning round. Charlie's Angels Charlie's Angels, all right, the Three Amigos kind of a geography thing,

will go back in the hopper for a future game. It's okay, maybe it was tough, you don't know. All right, here is your question, poor Charlie's Angels. I need you to name the last nine Best Picture winners at the Academy Awards. The last nine Best Picture winners at the Academy Awards. Twenty seconds on the Clock, jay Z and Go, Nomad Land, Coda, twelve Years a Slave, Birdman, Spotlight, Moonlight, Oh no got it? Uh oh, Parasite, Argo, Stop, you cleaned house. You did great. You got one, two, three,

four, five, six, seven. You got seven out of the nine you got, Coda, you got Parasite, Moonlight, Spotlight, Birdman, twelve Years a Slave, and Argo. There are a couple still on the board, Ryan, your five second rebuttal. These are the last nine best picture winners. Five seconds on the Clock and a go. You got to the moonlight and spotlight dressin time, and that was the one I don't know another two let's see stop stop. Five seconds goes by way too quick.

You got a bunch of the older ones, jay Z. So the ones we didn't get, it's forgettable green Book, green Book. Yeah. And then the one before that, by g was the Shape of Water. Right, Okay, but you guys did excellent in that round. That was super fun. You guys rocked it. We have a score update after a very fun lightning round. Ryan Hamill nineteen big ass points. Jason Zeffrianni zepfer Nieri Zeffernieri. I'm gonna get it. I'm gonna nail it. He nailed it.

He's got the deuce deuce twenty two to nineteen after three rounds, just how we like it. It's so great when it's close and fun. So before we move on to our fourth and final round, between you two gents, let's just talk about your your time in that incredible group of people, the Tournament of Champions. It was just a special year, a special tournament, and if you have any stories or memories about your time spent, you know, and on that very memorable for the books a t O. C

Ryan start us off. Yeah, it was. It was really really a great experience. We have a very close bonds where you have like this group chat that's blown up all the time. So Mico, I'm not that active in it, but I just you know, follow all the messages. But we actually recently had a mini reunion. So this this current TSC is filming

a couple of us. Well, I'm in La, so I'm right right down the street from the studio and he is also in La and then you know Veronica and Sarah and Kevin was also in La with the five of us in Sam Kavanaugh be defending champion, made it out to some of the tapings and afterwards we got to go to the famous O'Brien's out there in Santa Monica and it was it was a Jeopardy filled trivia night. There was no members of this TSC on the previous TOC some special guests as well that we're from

from the Second Chance all of us there. I think there is probably I think five or six sixteens just made up of Jeopardy contestants. And yeah, for those that don't know, Yeah, in La there's an Irish pub. It used to be I think there was one in Santa Monica, but it's now a little bit different. It's like near Santa Monica. But yeah, it's O'Brien's Pub and on whatever day of the week it is, it is like the most hardcore trivia game on the planet. I've gone a couple of

times and it's super fun. But it is remarkable the brilliance that is in that room and the breath of knowledge. Jason, what about you? So it was almost kind of surreal. It was still in the midst of the pandemic and being on the set, I mean so much had changed from it had been twenty months before then was the last time I had visited the Culver City studios, you know, So that was that was strange, and obviously the host had changed and everything. So I mean it it felt like an

entirely new experience. Meeting these guys was great. We do have an active chat thing. I am more active than Ryan and like to point out, but much less entertaining, but I make it up for it in volume. And staying at the Culver Hotel was something that they put us up to, and it was this kind of boutique thing that had this history of like Wizard

of Oz and some other actors and everything. Each room was different, but at the same time, it was it was like a ghost hotel because there was it wasn't even open and they were like, okay, we'll give it, we'll rent it out to you guys, but we're not even going to staff the front desk or anything, and so so, I mean it felt it was it was so unusual being there. I mean, like the WiFi

had been turned off because why would they leave it on. They didn't have guests for twelve months, you know, So I mean that was I guess they do that for the tournament. At least they did for a few years, and so we're like part of that that history, but definitely in a very different way than the rest of them. That's so often that it's like what a bonding experience. It reminds me of like a lock in in high school or something where they just trust some pizzas in a gymnasium and lock the

doors and they're like, you guys have to stay here. But all right, well it comes down to this. We're ready for round four. Round four, the Double Duty. It's called the double duty because points are doubled and there are nine questions in this round instead of eight, so where there are eighteen large points. So Ryan, don't feel bad, you're only down by three. It's twenty two to nineteen going into this round. Your category

for your double Duty Radcliff round today is badass women. These are kind of trailblazing women questions. Let's start it off as we always do, with question number one. Marie Currey teamed up with her hubby Pierre to discover two elements radium and which other one? What other element did the Curies come up with? Rosalind, who has been nicknamed the Forgotten Heroine, the Dark Lady of DNA, and the Sylvia Plath of molecular biology. So she got into like professional wrestling, is that he's got more nicknames than most

people, because I think I think she's got a handful more. But it's cool that she's finally gotten the recognition. At least. It sucks that it's puffs jumous lee, but but yeah, that she's finally It was like she was seriously, she should be right there or even ahead of those all those other guys. It was a tough round, all right. Pencils down It all comes down at these nine questions? Was round four your double duty Radcliff

saying polonium. Also, it is named after her native country of Poland. It is polonium for number one. The score remains the same. It's a three point lead. Question number two, the great singer Rihanna was born and raised in what Caribbean nation? Jason, I'm pretty sure. On my honeymoon, I went outside this house through a whole bunch of hangers on taking photos of World House in Barbados, Barbados. Ryan, what did you put for number two? Name the British social reformer who was imprisoned a whopping thirteen times trying to get the parliamentary vote for women. Ryan, did you have a guest for number three? I'm pretty sure this name I wrote down as an American, but I put down wood Hole, wood Hall, wood Hole. Jason, what did you

I did not know that one, so that I that is huge. It pays to get things wrong and quiz competitions. So and then then stuck stuck with me ever since, yep, we always know the ones we missed the most for the rest of our days. I shake my fist at you. Question I got wrong. Question four was a

toughie as well. Let's let's find out what's what. Wangari Maathai was the first African woman to win a Nobel Peace Prize in two thousand and four and was an environmental activist who founded the g b M, which was an acronym for what movement? Jason, I could come up with nothing better than the green Botswana movement. The green Botswana movement. Excellent, guests, Ryan, what did you put Alsi's green basically the environmentalist. I just put the green

body movement, the green body movement. You guys are both very close. I think her her movement was planting trees and other foliage around so to create tac Tacle green belt. And he put that up there, I'll read it to the masses. Jason, you get first DIBs on an answer. I can either agree with

you or go my own way. Here is your final throwdown question. Which Native American tribe has inhabited East Massachusetts and Rhode Island for the last twelve thousand years? Which Native American tribe has inhabited East Massachusetts and Rhode Island for the last twelve thousand years? Wow? All right, take as much time as you want. You let me know when you're ready to throw a guess out there if you know it already, I'm ready to throw two guesses out there,

and you can just between Yeah, I guess I'll take. Okay, I'll go with this one, and I'm going to be disappointed. I always flipped the coin wrong. So you're ready for me to answer yeah, when it's a fifty fifty or a true and false. Those are my least favorite things because I feel like my percentages is just piss poor. It's wrong. Uh yeah, what do you what do you? What do you got? I'm gonna say the Wampanoag tribe, Wampanoag, the Wampa no Egg. That's

great. I don't even know if this is a tribe. But I don't even know if I'm even in the ballpark a Narragansett. Is that a tribe? I'm not even sure. So we have the Wampanoag and the Narragansett our artists. We're ok. Yeah, exactly, it's over there. So Annie's gonna reveal our answer, and then we're gonna learn some fun facts about this incredible tribe that's been there for twelve thousand years. Annie, without further ado, reveal the answer. Yeah, Jason z is in fact the smartest person

in the world for maybe even more than one week. It is the Wampa Noag or the Wampanog. Let's learn about this. The Wampanoag are also known as the people of First Light. They were expert fishermen, hunters, and harvesters. Wampanoag worked together as a number of groups united together, each with their own leader. Between the years sixteen sixteen and sixteen nineteen, ninety percent

of their population was lost to disease. Unbelievable, and five thousands still live in New England today and their existence is still marked with the words we are still here. Wow, that is unbelievable. Now I'll know that for the rest of my days. Again, Chance, It's been a pleasure to have you on the show.
