We'll get our first score update of the day. Very exciting. There were

eight questions in this round. Question number one was who was the monarch of the UK and dominions of the British Commonwealth before the late Queen Elizabeth the second's reign, which was very, very long. Who came before her? Mackenzie, what did you put for number one? I don't even know if this has existed yet, but I said, Edward the sixth, Edward the sixth. Great guess, Steve, what did you put for number one? I also went with the sixth, but I went with George the sixth, George

the sixth, or Edward the sixth. One of you is correct. The correct answer is George the sixth, King, George the sixth. There was a bunch of Edwards and George's going back and fourth more numbers. The king's speech all of those gentlemen from that era before kwe two took over and was like, fellas, I got it, I got it. For a while. It is George the sixth for number one. Question number two, in

what US state would you find the headquarters of e sp N? We'll start with you this time, Steve. Did you venture a guest for number two? I went with Georgia, just out of like a Ted Turner, but I don't think he has anything to do with ESPN. Georgia. Maybe I don't know Georgia. Good guests, Mackenzie. What did you put for number two? I wrote New Jersey. Oh my god. I thought about Georgia though, because I thought like there are weirdly big companies there for being sort

of an out of the way place. But yeah, I went with New Jersey. Okay, so we have Georgia and we have New Jersey. The correct answers a smaller state. It is the state of Connecticut. Bristol is their headquarters. You'll if you ever watch Sports Center, they're always coming from

Bristol. It's not Bristol, Tennessee. It's Bristol, Connecticut. That's where a father and son founded ESPN, of all places, and now you'll know for the rest of your life that everything from ESPN is in Bristol, Connecticut. Question number three, who wrote the novels lesser known novels my cousin Rachel and Jamaica in but her most famous novel, Rebecca Mackenzie. What did you put for number three? I have Daphne de Maurier, Daphne do Mourier,

Steve, do you agree with that? Or did you go your own way? I had the same guys, Stephney do Mourier never heard of the first two? Yeah, yeah, those are like you'll get this. I was like, I started it off tough, just you'd be like, you, son of a bitch. Why did you put those two first? The novelist is, in fact Daphne du Maurier. She wrote Rebecca, That's the one

we all know Daphney do Mourier for number three? Question number four? What song from the musical The Sound of Music is also the title of a John Coltrane album, Steve, what do you got? I'm one positive this is wrong. Adelweiss, I don't Edelweiss Atolweiss. Good guests, that is a song from the Sound of Music? Do you agree with that? I went with my favorite things. We got Adelweiss, and we have my favorite things. One of you is correct once again, soft and well, no,

it's not that it's not Adelwis. It's my Favorite Things. My Favorite Things. It's a great jazz album by mister John coulst Question number five, who want a best Actress Oscar for her role as Letitia Musgrove in the film Monsters Ball? Mackenzie, Holly Berry, halle Berry, Steve, what did you put halle Berry? It was? In fact, Hallie Berry had a very

excellent acceptance speech from winning the Best Actress Oscar for Monster's Ball. Question number six named the D and D Club featured in the TV series Stranger Things. Steve, I have no idea. Have you seen the show or no? I guess the first season, but okay, I don't think it's really in the first season. Maybe it is, but it's not as prolific as it is in later seasons. So I just wrote the Boys shout out to a show I actually do watch. But yeah, that's a fun show. Mackenzie.

Did you come up with the Boys as well? Or no? I think I haven't. I haven't watched since season one, but a lot of my students have the shirt yet. The hell Fire Club. It is, in fact the hell Fire Club. Those T shirts are selling like hotcakes. The hell Fire Club is that D and D Club featured on Stranger Things. Question number seven, what's the name of the bird in the Twitter logo? Mackenzie thought she had this on lockdown, recently heard of it? What do

you got for me? I think his name is Larry Larry Bird. Larry Larry Bird. That makes sense. Steve, what did you put for number seven? Tweety? I don't know? Twit twit Twitter tweity. It is Jack Dorsey named it after the hick from French Lick. It was named after Larry Bird. It is Larry is the name of the Twitter bird logo? We'll never forget? And then finally, question number eight. Magyars are an ethnic group native to what country? Mister Molds? I believe that's hungry hungry

four? Number eighth, Mackenzie, what did you put for number eight? Spain great guesses you're in the right neck of the nape. The correct answer is hungry, hungry or where you would find the Magyar people. Wow, that was a very fun round. Annie's tabulating the scores right now. Oh my god. Check this out. We have Steve Molds with four big points and Mackenzie Jones with five. It's five to four after one it's anyone's game. Mackenzie, what color would you like from our JV volleyball scoreboard? I

would love to be blue blue, perfect, so awesome. So after one it is five to four, Mackenzie Jones in the lead over Steve Molds. But before we get to our pop culture grab back, I just wanted to talk to you guys a little bit about your journeys on Jeopardy. So, Mackenzie, if you want to start us off and just what was your experience like just to get on the show. Sure. So I actually got to the audition stage for teen Jeopardy my senior ye of high school in two thousand

and nine. Did not get picked, Thank god. When I look at pictures of myself from that time, I'm so glad that they did not put me on national TV. But I really I swore it off after that. I was like, they don't know talent. And then eventually my brother was on. He lost to Jason, but he was like, just go ahead, try again. So I took the online test. I got called for an audition in Houston, which is like a nine hour drive, so I

almost didn't go. I was like, oh, I'll just go, and then I went and I just felt so much more comfortable, probably because I was ten years older than I had been as a team, but since my brother had lost, I kind of just felt like, Oh, this will just be fun. He's much more of a trivia person than me. I think his knowledge base is much larger. But he went against one of the

greats Yea and he. I think people just get scared to do poorly and like, I don't really care, Like I'm performed for like fifteen year olds all day. So there's no harsher judges in the world. So once I auditioned, I only auditioned as an adult. Once they called me and I between audition and being in LA and shooting it was about a month. Holy smoke. So that's like one of the quicker turnarounds I've ever heard. Yeah, that's so cool, Steve. What about you? What was your journey

like to just get on the show. Well, I I took the online test just a few times, but I think maybe three times three years apart. And then I got called for an audition and I was the audition was scheduled. I was going to be in New Harmony, Indiana, which is this utopian town where there's a I shot a movie in New Harmony, Indiana County. That's crazy because it's a very small They have a plaque or whatever. It's like, this was a utopian society from two different failed utopian societies,

I think. But there's a new play development conference there the new play the New Harmony Project, and so I was scheduled to be there, but the audition was in Nashville, and I was gonna say, oh, you know, I just won't go. But then the artistic director of the New Harmony Project was like, go take the day, go drive the Nashville. So I went down and did did the audition, and yeah, I had a short turnaround two. I think they called me in about two months.

And wow, that's awesome that you didn't because they give you that thing. We've talked about this in previous shows where they're like, uh, in eighteen months, we can call you or not, and you just are like, you never know until they call you. So that's cool. You guys didn't have to wait that long. They were like, hey, come to LA

and shoot this. You're like, oh shit, all right, cool, because I think, yeah, I think mine was ten months, ten ten to twelve months that I had to wait, and I know some people had to wait almost the entire eighteen before they got the call. That's so cool. We're gonna hear much more about your journeys and your stories. You got to play for our favorite, Alex Trebek coming up. But let's move on to round number two again. We're playing with Mackenzie Jones and Steve Molds,

two former Jeopardy Tournament of Champions champions. It's five before going into round two pop culture grab Bag. I look forward to everything you say we know being wrong about. That's the let's continue that streak. Yes, I love it in your pop culture grab bag. Today, we're going to do a movie round. More specifically, these are all questions about documentaries, one of my favorite things to watch over the last few decades, documentaries. There are eight

questions in this round. Here is question number one. Quest Love won the Oscar for directing Summer of Soul, which is a stellar documentary about the series of free concerts during the summer of nineteen sixty nine in What New York neighborhood. Once again, quest Love, what can't he do? He won an Oscar for directing Summer of Soul, which is a incredible documentary. It's about a series of free concerts during the summer of nineteen sixty nine, the same

year that Woodstock came out. The concerts happened in what New York neighborhood? For question number one, Moving right along to question number two, Terry, I think his name is Zwygoff or Zwigoff. I think it's Zwygoff. Terry Zwigoff directed this nineteen ninety five documentary about the underground and controversial comic book artist and cartoonist and his traumatized family. Excellent documentary that came out in nineteen ninety

five. Directed by Terry Zwygoff. It's a documentary about the underground and controversial comic book artist and cartoonist as well as his traumatized family. Can you give me the name of this one word documentary? All right, here we go, Question number three. This two thousand and five Oscar winner was subtitled Calcutta's Red Light Kids. Can you give me the name of that documentary? It won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature back in two thousand and five and was

subtype Calcutta's Red Light Kids. All right, Number four, I think you guys got this one. Stop Making Sense is a concert documentary directed by Jonathan Demi and features what New York rock band? Stop Making Sense is a concert documentary directed by Jonathan Demi and features what New York rock band? They played a lot at CBGB's. They have so they're not really like do you look up their genre? It's new wave, post punk, art pop, like all a bunch of genres that they cover. This band, can you name

the band? For number four? Numurosinko? Here we go. Number five? Can you name the eighty five year old master who dreams of sushi? Can you name the eighty yet one? This is the Daphne Dumourier of Round two. I've always said that about him. Oh my god. Question number five, can you name the eighty five year old master who dreams of sushi? Once again? Just one of the best documentaries you will ever see. For question number five, all right, we're up to question number six.

Question number six in your documentary's pop culture grab bag? What twenty thirteen documentary centered on the controversial captivity of killer whales and the danger it poses to both human and animal What twenty thirteen documentary centered on the controversial captivity of orcas or killer whales, and the danger they pose to both human and animal. Can

you remember that title? Question number seven? Question number seven year penultimate question in the grab Bag, Barbara copples Harlan County, USA focuses on a strike in nineteen seventies Kentucky. The striking workers were in? What line of work? Who was striking in Harlan County, USA? I saw this film in a film class in college and it blew my mind. I hadn't really seen documentaries up to that point, and it's from the seventies and it is tremendous.

One of my favorites. Once again, Barbara Copple's Harlan County, USA focuses on a strike in nineteen seventies Kentucky. The striking workers were in what line of work? For question number seven? And finally question number eight, who directed the twenty sixteen documentary thirteenth named after the Amendment abolishing Slavery? Once again, question number eight? Who directed the twenty sixteen documentary thirteenth named after

the Amendment abolishing Lavery? All right, pencils down, let's go over your answers for the pop culture grab Bag today. It was documentary films. A bunch of these are my favorites, starting with number one. Quest Love won the Oscar for directing Summer of Soul, which is an awesome documentary about the series of free concerts during the summer of nineteen sixty nine. And what New York neighborhood? Steve, what do you got for one? This is just

a guess. Harlem. Put Harlem. That is a neighborhood in New York. McKenzie. Do you agree with that? I said Harlem as well. The correct answer is Harlem. It was named I forget what park it was beforehand, but it's been changed to Marcus Garvey Park in the heart of Harlem. You got it number one? You got number two. Terry Zwigoff directed this nineteen ninety five documentary about the underground and controversial comic book artist and cartoonist

and his traumatized family. McKenzie, did you come up with a guest for number two? I just picked something that I know to be a graphic novel about trauma, and I wrote Mouse Mouse. That is an incredible graphic novel. Steve. What did you put for number two? I put Crumb? The correct answer is about Robert or our Crumb. It is Crumb, great documentary about very interesting person and an even more interesting family. Crumb. Yeah, before Terry, I think he directed ghost World in some other movies,

but yeah, Crumb was a documentary he did before that. Question Number three, This two thousand and five Oscar winner was subtitled Calcutta's Red Light Kids. Steve, did you get an answer for number three? I mean, I'm just I'm going to use a three word phrase that my old friends friends, that's just out of my imagination, Calcutta's Red Light Kids, my old friends. That answer deserves a splosh. McKenzie, do you agree with that?

That great documentary that Steve just invented? No, but I wrote a different wrong answer rolls the title of a different movie that is about impoverished children somewhere else and is also not a documentary. But I wrote City of God, Oh My God, one of my favorite films and the TV I even watched the TV show that they made after City of God, both tremendous. The correct answer you maybe will recollect it. I think it. One best best

documentary that year was called Born into Brothels. Born into Brothels is the name of that documentary. Calcutta's Red Light Kids. It's an extraordinary watch. Question number four. Stop Making Sense is a concert documentary directed by Jonathan Demi and features what New York rock band McKenzie. I said, The New York Dolls, New York Dolls, great guests, Steve, what did you put? If I know this, it's only because of documentary now doing a parody of

it. Talking Heads. Oh one of you is correct. The correct answer is talking Heads. The New York Dolls and the Talking Heads both played CBGB's a lot, So that was a great guest, mackenzie. But it is the Talking Heads. It's where it starts off with. I think just like a tape recorder, a boombox, and then one by one, David Byrne comes out, and then each each song someone else comes out, and by

the end he's wearing the huge suit in Stop Making Sense. And I didn't know this, but it was filmed right here in the at the Pantagious Theater in Los Angeles. I didn't know that until I did research for the game today. I thought it was in New York. It's like, nope, it was in LA. Question number five, I think you guys both nailed it. Can you name the eighty five year old master who dreams of sushi? Steve? Is it zero zero? Mackenzie? What did you put?

I also said Gerro? It is j I r o jerro jerro Jero Giro dreams of sushi. Just if you haven't seen it, you gotta see it. It's wonderful. Question number six, twenty thirteen documentary centered on the controversial captivity of killer whales and the danger it poses to both human and animal Mackenzie, blockfish, Blackfish? Steve, what did you get? I also said Blackfish. I think it was a CNN documentary that won the Oscar. It

was Blackfish? Blackfish? Is that documentary about the Orcas and Sea World and how they're not really at Sea World anymore? From that movie? Good work? Movie? Question number seven Barbara Copple's Harlan County, USA, focuses on a strike in nineteen seventies Kentucky. The striking workers were in? What line of work? Steve? I really should know this. I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I'm just gonna guess coal mining, coal mining? Mackenzie,

what did you put? I also said coal coal the correct answer. They were coal miners. They were coal miners in Kentucky. It's a long dock. It's maybe a three hour documentary, but I've seen it a few times and it is. It is one of the best, one of the best of all time. Harlan County US A question number eight. Who directed twenty sixteen documentary thirteenth named after the amendment abolishing slavery? Mackenzie? I have Ava du Varney, Ava du Varney, Rene Duvarne. I guess do Morier?

Sure see, That's what I was worried. I was going to go too far with Ava. Dude du Maria. No, just Ava, Yes, yep. Steve, what did you put for number eight? This is the only one that I've seen actually of your the entire round. Wow, So you have a big to do list, Steve, Yes, I do. I also had Ava du Varney. It is, in fact Ava Duvernet four number eight. You did? What for seeing one of these? You

did very very well. You both did great. And again, if you haven't seen most of these, I think you'll be very pleased to watch each and every one of these films, some of my favorites at all time. We have a score update and we have a lead change McKenzie with double digits, has ten big points. Steve Molds takes the lead by one with eleven. It's eleven to ten at halftime. So yeah, we are at halftime,

Steve is ahead of McKenzie eleven to ten. We're playing with McKenzie Jones, who's playing for the American Indian College Fund, and we're playing with Steve Molds, who's playing for Change Today, Change Tomorrow. Win or lose, we are making a donation to both of those causes, those great causes you both before we move on to our next round. You both had the pleasure of playing with the goat Alex Trebeck, and I wanted to know if you

have any just memories or stories with the late great Alex Trebec. We'll start with you, McKenzie. Yeah, so this is my favorite Alex story, my sort of Jeopardy claimed fame. I think I might be the most successful dyslexic in game show history. I misspelled like seven of my nine final jeopardies, but it doesn't matter. They take it as long as they know what you meant. So when I lost, it was like they shut down for a little bit to do the Little Winner Circle interview and Alex came and talked

to me. He asked who was in the audience supporting me, and I said, Oh, my mom's been here the whole time. She's been a teacher for thirty one years. She loves your show. She learns something new every day. And he goes, she's taught every day for thirty one years. Didn't take one day to teach you how to spell? And I was like, no, sir, no sir. She didn't. Oh god, but the Alex Trebek digs are kind of the best digs. Oh exactly, Like with a new tell an anecdote and he goes, good for you,

It's like that's iconic. Oh my gosh, he doesn't care. But like it's like Regina George punched me in the face. Like that's how I felt. Exactly, the best, the greatest person in the world just undressed me on national television because there was there was that one where I forget who it was. It wasn't in a tournament of champions. It was just a regular game and someone was talking about something very nerdy or dorky, and Alex just called them out and was like, yeah, we call those people nerds or

like geeks or whatever. I just like moving on. You collect symbols. Great great story, Steve. Do you have any incredible memories of mister trebec I have two great little interview moments. The one that motivated me to go on the show in the first place was I used to watch with my wife and my and her parents a lot, and we would we would pay it. We would always notice how often he said he said good for you.

He would say good for you, and and so we had a little game, which was we wanted to see if he would say it to all three contestants in the same episode, just like how how auto how much on autopilot? Is Alex today good for you? You know? And he I've only seen him do it twice, but he but after that, he he did it. That was my interview question, was asking me about playing the triple crown of good for you and uh, and he did it in that episode. He set it up that way. I was the third person he asked,

and he said good for you to all three of us. So that was really exciting. It's great. But he also did it. He made a great joke in my in my second episode where he was asking me about doing karaoke with my wife because that was we became like best friends doing karaoke all the time, and and I was just excited in talking and talking and I said, oh yeah, we used to do it twice a week.

And then we had a kid, and then Alex is he still talking about karaoke, and I just I mean, it just took me completely off guard. But Alex Trebeck making a joke about my sex life was was a real, a real inappropriate highlight. I loved it. Oh, thank you for sharing both of those, Uh, both of those stories, y'all. That again, he's he's the best, and it's like, yeah, he did it for a long time, so he's gonna get good at it. But he was always just sharp as attack, so funny and so good at what

he did. God, that's great. One of my biggest heartbreaks is that I'll know I didn't get a chance to be with him. I missed him by like three months. But he's he lives on through all of you in your stories. That's so great. Awesome. Well, we are at the midway point. Steve is in the lead eleven to ten, the slimmest of leads, as we enter our third round of four round three, The Lightning Round. It is the Lightning Round, Mackenzie. You are trailing, so

you get to go first. And today you can choose from one of these three headings. This is spinal tap, waiting for Guffman or Best in Show. Name your poison. Okay, I know it has nothing to do with these movies, but beston Show is my favorite movie, so I'm going to pick beston Show. You can't go wrong. These three are just top not. You're gonna go with beston Show. I got the stop Watch ready here. There's gonna be twenty seconds on the clock. I will say the question

twice. I'll say go hit the start button. Have twenty seconds to get as many of these answers as possible. Steve, you sit tight, maybe jot some answers down, because I'm gonna come to you with your five second rebuttal. As soon as Mackenzie's time is up, here we go. You picked beston Show, Mackenzie. I want to know from you, who were the first nine hip hop acts to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I think Eminem is joining them this year, so it's Eminem's

going in. He's not one of the first nine of the first nine of the hip hop Acts to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Twenty seconds on the clock and a goal. Sugar Hill Gang, Run DMC, Biggie, Tupac, Salt and Peppa Oh Man, Oh, I'm so white. Beastie Boys. Stop. You did great. You got four. You got run DMC, you got the Beastie Boys just under the wire. You got Tupac and Biggie. They were all in the top seven of those top nine, So you got four. All right, there's still some

on the board, Steve, it's your chance to steal some. Five second rebuttal Top nine or the first nine hip hop acts to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Five seconds on the clock and to go, Grandmaster Flash, Snoop, Dog, Doctor, Dre Puff, Daddy p did stop. You got grand Master Flash. They also inducted the Furious Five along with Grand Master Flash. So you got that. The ones we didn't get to. Oh, I know you. We'll roll your eyes when you

hear these. Number four Public Enemy Chuck Devon Flavor Flav. Public Enemy was the fourth, followed fifth by n WA. They just put the whole crew in before they did the individuals n W A number eight, Jay Z already in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And I think just last year or within the last two years, Ladies, Love Cool James better known as L L Cool Jay. But you did well. You did well in the Best in Show Lightning Round. Steve. It's your turn in the barrel.

You can choose either this is spinal tap or waiting for Guffman. I'm gonna go original flavor. Christopher guests and well, I guess it's Rob Ryaner, but I'm gonna go spinal tap. This is spinal tap, So waiting for Guffman, that question will just go back into the hopper for a future game. All Right, I think you guys are gonna kill on this one. Here's your question. Now you're destroying our confidence. Now I'm confident in you, but I have more confidence in you than you have. This is spinal

tap. Here's your question. Top nine largest world lakes by area. These are the largest lakes on the planet by area. Twenty seconds on the clock and go Lake Victoria, Titty Co cop Superior, Huron, Great Salt Lake. Goodness, I'm not a lake person. Oh, good lord like I'm just gonna stop. I got you got three of the top four. You got Lake Superior, Lake Victoria, and Lake Huron. So you got three

out of the top four. Mackenzie, your five second rebuttals, see if you can steal some of these top nine largest world lakes by area and a goo by call, Michigan, Tahoe, Geneva. Here on your stop you got by cal and you got one other one Michigan, and by call you got two. You got Michigan and by call. So combine, you got five out of the nine. That is tremendous with absolutely no time in the Lightning Round. Let's go over the ones. Number one was the Caspian Sea

grown. It's a it should be a lake. The Caspian Lake changed the name for crying out loud. Number six on the list in Africa Lake Tanganika. Tanganika is a very large lake. In Canada, you got the Great Bear Lake is a large one. And then another one in Africa it's thin and long, but it's large, is Lake Malawi. Lake Malawi is number nine on that list. He guys did well in the Lightning round with no time at all. We have an up dated score Steve Molds with fifteen points

and our third lead change of the day Mackenzie with sixteen. It's still a one point game. It's just going back and forth. This is exactly how we draw it up. This is exactly how every episode of Jeopardy should be. Too. Lots of lead changes and it comes down to some horrific mistake at the tail end. Yeah, in the game, my fourth game that I played and lost, Anderson Cooper was our host, and he mentioned it

when we got before we did final Jeopardy. He's like, there were eight lead changes in our Double Jeopardy round alone, and I was like, Jesus's crazy, where the three of us just kept like just one upping each other. And then I lost because I was tired. Four games in a row. I lost it. What day of the week did you were you as? Yeah? I was. I was a Thursday loser. I was.

Yeah. I started Yeah, Monday, Monday, and it was like Anderson Cooper's first day, and it's like we first four games of the day, we were all in it, and I was in the lead, like in the middle of Double Jeopardy and I misheard a double a daily double question. I like misheard what Anderson said, and I think I was just losing it and I knew that. When he said the answer, I was like, oh shit, that's what they wanted. I was like, I know that.

And then I made another mistake like two questions later, and I was like, I think I think I was just exhausted. My brain was ready to quit. Yeah. Yeah, all right. So it is after three rounds, Mackenzie Jones in the lead, sixteen to fifteen, and we'll get to our fourth and final round between you two and just a second, but let's talk a little bit more about your Jeopardy journey. You both made it

to last year's incredible, very memorable Tournament of Champions. If you have any stories or memories from being a part of that colossal group of people, Mackenzie, what do you get? I just it was so cool because it was the first thing that I did in like a year and a half, and they had pushed it back a bunch of times for various reasons, COVID being one. I think they had planned at one point to do it before Alex

passed, because I knew they were arranging things in October. So I mean, it was just an experience because the first time they scheduled it, I was like studying really hard. And then after like the third reschedule, I thought, let's just go have a fun time at this. And I feel like by that point we had all sort of been in contact, like they're

sort of you know, contestant group sort of things. But I was like, I got out of the car to the hotel and Sam pointed at me and he said Mackenzie, and I went, oh shit, this guy's prepared, like he knows who I am, and then you know, he beat us all. So I was like, I should have probably practiced more, but no, it was just a wonderful experience. Everyone was super nice, which was awesome because sometimes trivia people are a little up their own ass and

it's just annoying. But I thought everyone in our group was lovely and was there to have fun and do their best. For sure. For sure. That's but I get that too. You go to like a trivia night or something, yeah, you might run into those people that are a little it's not that serious. Yeah, take it easy, this should be fun. Steve, what do you remember about the TC, Well, it was I mean, it was just great to like meet everybody and you know, make

friends. And I have to say, I mean because it was after some time of being in COVID lockdown, and it was just the like eating tacos outside across the street from the hotel. I was it just felt like I was on this exotic vacation, the most amazing place in the world, just eating tacos and Culver City. But yeah, it was a it was I mean like the actual game. Playing the game was like a nightmare for me.

I mean, my I had like I had bought my own hand sanitizer to prepare and mine was so much stickier than the one that they gave you, and so like I kept flexing my fingers whenever the whenever we were on commercial and I was like, the buzzer felt weird to me. And and then it was like naval terms and I'm like, are you kidding me?

Naval terms? And I mean just it was it was like the aboard you would draw up if you wanted me to lose horribly, and and I was just my head was never in it because I mean, I you know, I was I did not think I was gonna go I mean, Mackenzie knew she was going to go eventually, because you win eight games, you're gonna go. But I won three games, and I won a lot for three games, so that was cool. But so I didn't prepare until you know,

very late in the game. Yeah. But uh, and the one thing I actually took the time to like write out and prepare was the one thing they asked me about. But I didn't like review it beforehand, which is vice presidents. They're not gonna ask about vice presidents. Why don't I even write all that stuff down? It's true, I mean you can't study

for everything. It's like, yeah, you can brush up. I brushed up on the things that I wasn't good at, you know that show up a lot on the on the show, but you just you can't, like, of all the studying I did for a couple of months that I got before I was like my day to shoot, there was maybe like one or two questions of things that I had studied that showed up on the show. It's like there's a category about whales or caves, and I was like,

I forgot to study k Yeah, seriously, what well? I was sure they would have like Alex themed drowns, like, you know, there were things I thought for sure would be there. Yeah, and there were not, And so I was like, oh, colonial history, Yeah, that's cool. I was like, I'm not going to get this out of protest because I work for a tribe, so this is actually like solidarity. Why I'm missing those questions because I don't know it. Who did you guys face

in your quarterfinal matches? I played Kevin and Ben? Oh my god, well like that those three. Kevin does the cutest shit in the world and gets engaged to his like wonderful wife. I'm like, Okay, this is the best thing that could possibly happen. I can't stay mad at Kevin. And then Steve, who did you play against? Up against Karen and Naber? God, it was It's like a murderous row. It doesn't matter who'd

like. And there was a pop call. It was like a like recent pop music, and I'm like, come on the college tournament, Yeah, college my letter? Yeah, how about songs from the nineties or something. You're like, come one my thing novels Steve has read and remembers. Oh that's great, thanks for those stories. All right, let's get back to this game. Mackenzie's in the league by one point. It's sixteen to fifteen as we head into our fourth and final round between you two. Round four,

the Double Duty. It is the Theodore Double Duty Redcliff round. We call it the Double Duty because points are doubled and there are nine questions in this round, so there's eighteen huge Mongus points up for grabs your category for today. These are questions about people that share the same last name or similar sounding last name, so there's chances for you to get one and or two points. If you just get the last name, I'll give you a point.

But if you give me the first names of the people in question, I'll give you that second point, which could be everything. Since it is a one point game. Here we go. There are nine questions in this round. Here is question number one, the psychologist who developed an operant conditioning chamber for animals that bears his name and the principle from Springfield Elementary School from

the Simpsons. Again, question number one, the psychologist who developed an operant conditioning chamber for animals that bears his name and the principle from Springfield Elementary School from the Simpsons. That is question number one. All right, you guys made quick work of that we're up to question number two. English lyricist that wrote wrote Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar and the sixty sixth Secretary of State who served from two thousand and five to two thousand and nine. Once again,

question number two. The English lyricist that wrote Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar and the sixty sixth Secretary of State that's a literation who served from two thousand and five through two thousand and nine. Can you name both of those folks? All of the facial movements used every muscle in your face to make all those faces? Question number three. Here we go Carrie Fisher's mom and the Deadpool

Star that bought Wrecksom Football Club with Rob mcelhaney. Question number three, Carry Fisher's mom and the Deadpool Star that bought Wrexham Football Club along with Rob McIlhenny from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Question number four. The Cuban American singer that was known as the Queen of Salsa and the Junior Senator from Texas.

Once again from for question number four, The Cuban American singer that was known as the Queen of Salsa and the Junior Senator from the Great State of Texas. All Right, Question number five. Pivotal question number five, the leading rusher in NFL history and the author of the Wealth of Nations. Question number five, the leading rusher in National Football League history and the author of the Wealth of Nations. For question Numuro Sinko, all right, question number six.

These are our final four questions here in the double duty Redcliffe. On question number six, I love La Singer and the actor who portrayed fast Eddie Felson in the films The Hustler as well as The Color of Money. I love La Singer and the actor who portrayed the pool shark fast Eddie Felson in The Hustler as well as in the Color of Money. And then there were three three questions left to see if I'm gonna vomit. Every one of these

questions is like a tight rope act. It's like you're hoping that just one of them clicks, because then you can at least guess on the other. That's that's I was hoping not to make just that both things. You're like, fuck you and also fuck you, Mike. That is not fair. I don't know either. All right, Question number seven, Here we go, Angie Tribeca and the Jamaican born model, singer and actress that was known

for her bold and androgynous looks. Once again, Question number seven, Angie Tribeca and the Jamaican born model, singer and actress that was known for her bold and androgynous looks. Two questions left. Here's your penultimate question, Question number eight in your double duty Radcliffe round names the same as the category. The Supreme Court justice that replaced Byron White and the poet who wrote America and Footnote to Howell. The Supreme Court Justice that replaced Byron White and the poet

who wrote America and Footnote to Howell h owl. I will give you the hint. That's the one where their names aren't spelled exactly the same, but they sound the same, all right. Question number nine. Here it is question number nine. The Beatles fifth Drummer and the nineteenth century woman known as the Queen of the Oklahoma Outlaws. Once again, Question number nine, The Beatles fifth Drummer and the nineteenth century woman known as the Queen of the Oklahoma

Outlaws. One of you lives in Tulsa, m interesting and one of us is in the Beatles. Yes five, points for Mackenzie right there, pencils down. Let's go over our answers for your fourth and final round between you two Jeopardy champs. It was the double Duty Radcliff round. These were names the same question number one, the psychologist who developed an operant conditioning chamber for animals that bears his name, and the principle from Springfield Elementary School. Mackenzie,

what did you put for number one? I wrote Skinner. I think principal Skinner, but I don't know if that's right, and I do not have first names. Okay, so you just got last name Skinner is your guests Steve, what did you put for number one? I have Seymour Skinner and I don't actually know the first name, just b F. Skinner. Correct answer is b F and Seymour Skinner. So Mackenzie gets one point on that one. Steve gets two big ass points. For question number one.

It is b. F. Skinner and Seymore Skinner Principal Skinner. Question number two English lyricists that wrote Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar and the sixty sixth Secretary of State who served from oh five to oh nine. Steve, what did you put for number two. I started to write down Andrew Lloyd Webber and then I was like, what, No, but it's Tim Rice and Condolieza Rice. Great. Guess is Mackenzie? What did you put? For number two? I have the same thing, Tim Rice, Condeliza Rice. You

both nailed it. You both get two points apiece for question number two. It is Tim Rice and Condaliza Rice, Condolieza, Lloyd Webber. Yeah, the well known cherious state. Yep. Yeah, if there was one that like served for like three hours, You're like, yeah, it wasn't there one there was? But yeah, Tim Rice and yeah Andrew Lloyd Webber. Webber combined to write what a thousand Musicals Joseph and the Amazing Technic Color Dream

get just so many, so many? Question number three Carrie Fisher's mom and under the Deadpool Star that bought recently Wrexham Football Club with Rob McElhenny Mackenzie, what did you put? I have Debbie Reynolds and Ryan Reynolds. Debbie Reynolds and Ryan Reynolds, Steve, what did you put? I also have Debbie and Ryan Reynolds. You would both be correct. Two points apiece for that one. It is Debbie Reynolds is Carrie Fisher's mom. And yeah, Ryan

Reynolds just bought the Wrexham Football Club. I'm in the midst of watching that FX show about them buying this Welsh football club. It's a great show. Question number four I thought could have been fairly tough. The Cuban American singer that was known as the Queen of Salsa and the junior senator from Texas, Steve. What do you got for number four? I may have just made up a person's name, but Ted Cruz and Celia Cruz. Ted and Celia

Cruz mackenzie, what did you put for number four? I also have Ted and Celia Cruz. Wow, that's what I'm talking about. You guys are very effing smart. It is Celia Cruz, one of the best best selling Latin artists of all time, the Queen of Salsa and Ted Cruz, and I'm not going to talk too much about him. Doesn't look good with a beard or without Ted Cruz. But it is Celia and Ted Cruz for number

four. Question number five, the leading rusher in NFL history and the author of the Wealth of Nations McKenzie. I have Emmett Smith and Adam Smith, Emmett and Adam Smith. Steve, what did you put? For number five? I also wrote Adam Smith and Emmett Smith. You guys are killing this category. It is Emmett Smith from the Dallas Cowboys, and Adam Smith wrote The Wealth of Nations without Adam Smith. By the way, there's no way

Emmett come anywhere near my brain. That's good deductive reasoning. That is good. I like, I would like this category more just because you at least have a chance to know one one of them. Question number six. I love La Singer and the actor who portrayed fast Eddie Felson in The Hustler, as well as the color of Money. Mister molds Randy and Paul Newman. Randy and Paul Newman, Mackenzie, what did you put? I have the same thing? How many is that in a row? A lot in a

row? It is Randy Newman that's saying, short people, and you got a friend in me? And I love La and then Paul Newman, one of my favorite actors of all time. I love them and everything, including The Hustler and the Money. That's a fun Oscar trivia question, by the way, how many Oscar nominate repeat? Oscar nominations for the same character. Oh, yeah, that's true. It would be like Godfather stuff maybe and and yeah, and Vito Corleone is the only character to win twice. Oh

that's right. I was like Robert de Niro and Marlon Brando one who that's good. I like that. I like those questions. All right, it comes down to these final three questions. This is everything Angie Tribeca for number seven, and the Jamaican born model, singer and actress that was known for her bold and androgynous looks. Mackenzie, I have Rashida Jones and Grace Jones. Rashida and Grace Jones. Steve, what do you got? Rafida and

Grace Jones? Good lord, so impressive. It is Rashida Jones, Quincy Jones's daughter that was on Parks and Wreck in the Office, as well as Angie Tribeca and then Grace Jones. What couldn't she do? And many decades of being an actress and a singer and a supermodel that was on the covers of all the magazines. That was Grace Jones. All right, Question number

eight. The Supreme Court justice that replaced Byron I think he had a nickname Whizzer Byron Wizzer White and the poet who wrote America and Footnote to Howell? Steve, what did you get from number eight? Ruth Bader and Allen Ginsberg? Yep. Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Allen Ginsberg Mackenzie, do you agree with that assessment? Yes? I do. They are spelled differently. One is

b u r G and the other one is b e arg. But it is Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the notorious RBG and mister Allen Ginsberg who wrote Howell and he also wrote Footnote to Howell. That scared me. And when you said they were spelled different, because I was like, are they spelled different? Yep? And then like Footnote to Howell made me think like it was someone else's commentary on it? Yep? Is it Carowett? Did he write something about Burrows? And then I remembered America because that's the one about well

women, I think yep. Question number nine. It all comes down to this. We have a one point game heading into this round. The Beatles fifth drummer and the nineteenth century woman known as the Queen of the Oklahoma Outlaws. Mackenzie, what did you put I have Ringo Star and Bell Star, Ringo and Bell Star. Steve, what did you put for number nine? I did not know the outlaw Ringo Star, but I didn't I couldn't come up with the other right, so we give you one point for Star is

the correct answer. Ringo Star is the fifth and final drummer of the Beatles and the queen of the Oklahoma Outlaws was Bell Star? That answer deserves a huzza. She met an awful demise that people have written about for many, many years. Bell Star is the Queen of the Oklahoma Outlaws. We have a final score after four incredible rounds, Steve Molds with thirty two whopping points and McKenzie Jones with thirty three points. By one point. Bell Star pulled

it out on question nine. In that round, it's thirty three to thirty two. Mackenzie Jones, you are the smartest person in the world for one week. Thank you. I think I'm probably that Oklahoma point might not be legal in other states, but I'll take it. I'll add a tenth question. I'll do a Louisville or Munsey, Indiana question for Steve. Yeah, you are the smartest person in the world for one week. McKenzie Jones, we're happy to give a donation again. You're playing for the charity American Indian

College Fund Steve Molds. We're gonna make a donation to Change Today, Change Tomorrow and Louisville, Kentucky. God, that's one of the best games we've ever had here on the show, so thank you for that. Thirty three to thirty two unreal. We had a perfect tie in the fourth round. Unbelievable. Yeah, you've only missed one point autom eighteen, seventeen and seventeen is quite remarkable. But the game is not over. The game is over between you two. But McKenzie, it's time for you to go up against

me in the final throwdown. So Annie, without further ado, display your final throwdown question. McKenzie, you'll get first DIBs at a guess. I can either agree with you or go my own way. And then, no matter what, we're gonna learn some fun facts about this question and its answer. So Annie, reveal the final throwdown question. I'll read it a couple

of times for all of our listeners. The Oceanic Poll of Inaccessibility is also known as what the Oceanic Poll of Inaccessibility, is also known as what yikes, that's my first reaction. I was really hoping this would be like where she Jones follow up question on the show Angie Tribecca right. The oceanic pull of inaccessibility is also known as what I'm gonna go with Mariannas Trench because I know it's hard to get here. Yeah, I was thinking that too.

That's a great guest, the Mariannas Trench. I'm gonna go with the old wives tale and just go with the Bermuda triangle for no reason about that too. So we have the Mariannas Trench and the Bermuda Triangle, and then we're going to find out if either of us is at all we're both wrong. We'll find out. Steve, did you have a guess? Yeah? Am I allowed to say my guess? Sure? Why not? I mean, I'm just making things up too, So I'm going to say the circle of

confusion. Isn't that a thing? Oh? That sounds good? That might be it. You might be the smart you might be a tie for the smartest person. We'll give it to you, and I'll give you the title that's the most something. I don't know what it is, but that's something I like that. That sounds really good. All right, Annie, reveal the answer. We're going to find out who, if any of us is correct. Oh my gosh, here's the answer. It is called Point Nemo.

Point Nemo. Let's learn a little bit about Point Nemo. It's from the Latin means no one, no one located in the South Pacific. It is the place in the ocean farthest from emerged land. Space agencies use the coordinates for re entry to Earth to avoid any possible damage to land. And it has become a space station graveyard. So that's where a lot of our space junk goes is to Point Nemo. Now we know, Now, we all know. We won't forget. This was a pleasure to have you both

here. This was so fun, It was so great. We're so happy to give donations to both of your great charities and wish you a great holiday season and a great rest of your year.
