So Define American played an amazing role on Land of Gold, and they consulted with us to make sure the accuracy of the information in some of the storylines were good to go and

evergreen. And you know, when you're making projects that are about cultures that may not be about yourself, it's all about inclusivity and accuracy and authenticity. And Define American's an organization that really helps bring that to projects. And they were so kind to help us out on ours and I have forever love for them and what they do that is beautiful. We'll win or lose. We're

happy to make a donation to Define American. And now it's time to meet your opponent from Chicago, Illinois, my kind of town, but also Portland, Oregon, kind of two spots. So let's get back to the game and go over our answers for what seemed like a pretty challenging general college round. We're just starting out, but let's go over our answers and get our first scoreboard update. There were eight questions in

the General Knowledge round. Question number one, what events are you most likely at when you hear Felix Mendelssohn's March eighteen forty two or Rick Haard Wagner's chorus from his eighteen fifty but a Loewend Grin mark. What did you put for number one? For the wrong answer, I said, fireworks show the fourth of July, fireworks shore at the fourth of July, Nar deep, what did you put? No, that's legit. I put a funeral, a funeral, Nar Deep, You're a little closer. No, don't tell me,

don't tell me it was wed wedding. Yeah, Felix Mendelsson has the wedding march, and I thought Wagner's chorus from Loewend Grin is, here comes the bride, Here comes the bride. But now we know, now we know you'll hear that at a wedding for a question number one, So no harm, no cause, so close yep. Question number two? What Edwin won the four hundred meter hurdles gold medal at the nineteen seventy six nineteen eighty four Olympics and set the world record four different times, Nar deep? Did

It wasn't a donut that they replaced it with this. This fast food chain replaced the bread with pieces of chicken. So chicken was the bread. Chicken with chicken? And cheese and chicken. Yeah, it was like a piece of chicken, bread of chicken, cheese and sauce and another piece of

chicken. So like you were holding two pieces of chicken as the bun. You know, they really fucked up there because they should have done two pieces of bread of chicken and a grilled piece of chicken with cheese and middle. So you know it's healthy. Yeah, it's healthy. It's on their light menu. Yeah. How could you like be eating that in public? Like what is that? Ah? Yeah, that is that's definitely a shame a shame meal right there. I deserve this. I had a rough week.

I'm getting the double down Russian number four switching gears a little bit. Question seven, it might just derail you. How can you name two of the four railroads in the board game Monopoly, Mark B and O and reading B and O and reading? Nar Deep, what did you put? I had reading and Transatlantic. Oh, you know what, I'm gonna give

This is a documentary covering a record company sponsored all day concert at the nineteen seventy two Summer Festival in Los Angeles, with performances by artists such as Isaac Hayes, Rufus Thomas and the Staples Singers. That very excellent documentary. Man, I don't know what that is, but I want to watch that. It's really great. It's really cool. It was like Summer of Seoul. Like watching Summer of Soul.

Yeah, yeah, Summing. You watch Monterey Pop or Woodstock, it's like, holy shit. Yeah, all right. Question number seven your penultimate question and the pop culture grab bag. Although a wife and mother Mabel, played incredibly by Gina Rowlands, It's one of the best performances I've ever seen, is loved by her husband Nick, who's played by Peter Falk.

I believe her mental illness places a strain on the marriage, and this cassavettis flick for question number eight. Not taking it easy on you fellas today? You certainly are not serious man? Why are you mad at us? Yeah? Like, what the hell? This proves that you don't need to know movies to make movies. Yeah, my hand is shaking it to me, not that one shot with Yeah. One

of the most quotable movies in the history of mankind. I think that's I think that's why I blanked on it, because it's so quotable and I can see it that I've never really thought of what the description of the film is. I don't even like, like, I don't even remember what happens in the movie anymore because it's like scenes for me. Now, you know what they say about Yeah, yeah, the great Madeline con She was fantastic, And I think I saw this in a documentary. But Mel's like, there's

I'm like, yeah, yeah, he's like, um, sorry, that's my

arm. The Motion Picture MPa liked right. It's like they're already it's the joke that they kept in there is the same joke pretty much exactly funnier. It's a funnier outline. old time, agreed. Question number six is from nineteen seventy three, A Little Deeper Cut. We're all hoosiers from Indiana University, and that's where the movie takes place. And the little five hundred bicycle race. Nice. Question Number eight is from nineteen seventy four. Although wife and mother Mabel played by Gina Rowlands, is loved by her husband Nick, her

this was culturally insensitive to have this question on the show. I love it. I like, what the hell I'm the worst question I could have asked you. Thanks, Barbara Gettings, Thanks for nothing. Um let's go to Mark. Let's say if he's got any of these your five second rebuttals. See if you have any of the items from numbers four through twelve in the song the Twelve Days of Christmas, five second bottle mark and golden rings. Maybe eight lords of leaping, I don't know, four maids of milking.

I don't know where these go. But and then then I blanked out, stop, you got one. You got five gold rings. That's the big one. When they have that pause in the song, go yeah, golden rings or gold rings. So let's go over because it's it's a can't time. Time makes all of this crazy, So let's go over the ones. We didn't get all of them except for the one that mark up.

We'll start. We'll start with twelve because it starts at the bottom when they when they go through the whole thing, it's twelve drummers drumming, eleven pipers piping, ten lords of leaping, nine ladies dancing, eight maids of milking, seven swansa swimming, six geza laying, five golden race. And then the other one is four four calling birds, two turtle doves. Family there ah, there it is. That was a tough one. But again only only one point exchanged hands on that one, so not a big deal.

All right, market's your chance it's your turning the barrel. Yea, I invented all the things. Um. The correct answer is Harper Harper tim Burners Lee. So you have Harperley and tim Burner's Lee. I had to need some leeway on that because he goes by burners Lee, But Harper would him Berners Lee? For number eight? I would too, Harper Lee. Yeah,

yeah. Question number nine, it comes down to this thirty ninth president of the United States and the star of the nineteen eighties sitcom gimme a break, nar Deep did it come to you? Nope? You got anything? Or no? Just a blank stare? I just blank. I'm just gonna say, uh, George Bush, because I can't do math right now. Yeah, George h W. Bush. That's what I thought, George. Yeah, h Mark, what did you put? Well? For give me a break, I said, Neil Carter and for and for the first one,

I said, it must be something Carter. Oh wait, but I know the name. I know, I know his name. I can help you, Mark. Can you want to hear you? Do you want the other point? Yeah? Dude, well you don't got no. No, that's not fair. No, it's good. I'll give it to you because you know this is a generous game. Oh man, all about giving here? Yeah, correct answer? What does it tell me? What it's it's our greatest president like Andrew Carter, Jimmy Jimmy Carter, M my God.

I love Jimmy Carter. But we all don't remember, not enough to remember his name, and I even know his brother with the beer beer beer beer. Yeah. Reagan's a forty. JFK's thirty five. You always need poles too, I am dumbass. Do they count? Like? So?

Is it like forty one forty two if you get two terms? No? No, No, you're just still the same president run except for except for Grover Cleveland because he had non consecutive terms. So he's twenty two and number twenty four because he like he was president. Someone else did four years and then Cleveland came back again. So he's the only one that has two numbers to his name. Okay, I got that too. I'm really look, I'm really ashamed that I don't remember Jimmy Carter's name, because that man is

wonderful. He's done a lot, even post presidency. Yeah, amazing human being. Now I see what you mean by forgetting stuff. You just stay into a cloud. But I did remember Nel Carter Give Me Up Show. He was so great on that show. I've become friends with one of the daughters that one of the women that played the daughters on Give Me She's really great. Mark, you'll get first crack at a guess and our deep you can chime in here. I'll throw in my two cents and then no matter what, Annie's going to reveal the answer and some fun facts. So we're all going to learn a little something about this question and its answer. So Annie, without further Ado, if you want to put up the final throwdown question,

I will read it to everyone here. It is what is the name of the UFO slash UAP Investigative Office formed by the US government in twenty twenty two? Again, what is the name of the UFO slash UAP Investigative Office formed by the US government in twenty twenty two? Came out last year? Man, Wow, do I just answer right now? Yeah? What are you thinking? What do you got? What do you got? In the chamber? I'm just gonna give you all the wrong answers I have, but they

were just nice educated guesses. I'm gonna say Project blue Book at Area fifty one. Oh my god, that was so smooth. It came out so fluid. I love it. Project blue Book from Area fifty one. It sounds like an email address, Yeah, my first email address. Yea from aol or dot org. Yeah at GEO Cities. What Nardief, what do you got on this? You got anything? Man? I mean, I didn't even know that they did this. Uh. I'm gonna say, hey,

um um, Yoda's are us? Are us? That's good? I should know this just because I know Annie's husband, Ward, who helps edit our show and does all the things for the show. Ward is so into this more than anyone I know, So I'm sure he probably came up with this question or Annie knows it because of Ward's predilection for all of this alien stuff. I have no idea. I'm gonna I'm gonna make a joke answer and say the space force that Trump came up with a couple of years ago.

Class not right. But I cannot wait to hear its project, you know, numbnuts or whatever it is, Bubar or whatever it is. So let's Annie reveal the answer. We're gonna learn all about it. Oh God, it's called Arrow or the AA R O and that stands for the All Domain Anomaly Resolution Office. But just remember ARROW, like bow and arrow a r O, the All Domain Anomaly Resolution Office. Let's learn about it. The National Defense Authorization Act for twenty twenty two was signed in the law by

President Joe Biden and mandated the creation of this office. Senators Kristen Gillibrand and Marco Rubio worked as nonpartisan partners to establish and fund the office. ARROW is run by doctor Sean Kirkpatrick, who is a chief scientist and space intelligence expert. And finally, the mission of ARROW will be to detect identify anomalous unidentified space airborne, submerged, and trans medium objects. Hans Medium. I like

that. So now we all know that there is a government office called the ARROW that happens all this fun UFO stuff that's been percolating these last few years. Jents, it was a total pleasure to have you on the show again. We're happy to make donations to those two great charities and we're going to be on the lookout for all those projects and can't wait to hang out in real life.
