But what USC standout was inducted into the inaugural class of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame? For question number three, how are we feeling now? Worse? Better, I'm a little peaked,
as my mom would say, I'm not feeling very good. With a sort of a little bit of a layup to the layout, Boom peppered us with a frightful fire. I don't know, Yeah, I am not taking it easy on you guys throughout this game. You're both right gents. So again, I'm I know you'll hate me for that, but I'm also like tipping my cap to you both that these aren't all you know, all lamps. I respect it. It's good, it's good. We're all going to be better for this, yes, all right. Question number four a little
bit of a geography question. Saint John's is the capital city of what eastern most Canadian province? The one that sticks out way to the east. It's kind of where the Titanic sunk. Can you name that Canadian province against? Saint John's is the capital city of what eastern most Canadian province? For number four, how do we feel about Canada? Pro Canada? I've worked with Canadians and my favorite some of my favorite people right, Vancouver's wonderful, Montreal's great. Toronto's great. Yeah, Montreal is high on my list. I've been to Vancouver in Toronto, but yeah, Montreal is very high on my list of places I want to go to. Next, all right, Question number five of eight in the General Knowledge Round. The actress Michelle Williams has recently received rave reviews for reading the audiobook version of whose memoir

twenty five canvases featuring what objects? What objects? He painted the same thing over and over again, with like different times of day or night, with these objects in these can on these canvases. Can you name those objects in those Claude Monet paintings for number six? All right, Question number seven, we're going all the way back to the nineteen nineties, remember that, remember that simpler time. I want you to name both prosecuting attorneys in the infamous
OJ Simpson murder trial. We know some of the defense lawyers, Johnny Cochran and Fleete Bailey, in a fleet of others, but can you name the two famous prosecuting attorneys in that infamous OJ Simpson murder trial? For question number seven, your penultimate question in the general knowledge round. All right, which brings us to your final question in the General knowledge Round. We have arrived
at question number eight. Can you name three of the four college towns for the following North Carolin universities Duke, UNC, NC State, and Wake Forests? Can you name three of the four college towns for those North Carolina colleges or universities. We have Duke, we have the University of North Carolina, NC State, the wolf Pack, and then Wake Forest. Now, assuming I got all eight correct, I'm Jackie OBJ. You feel like you got
at least a few, right. Both of you feel good about having at least a few you feel good about I feel good that I got more than one right. Okay, I have some spectacularly wrong answers here, and I'm going to go with them. Fantastic. All right, Well, I think we'll all breathe a deep sigh of relief after this. All right, pencils down, gentlemen. We'll go over your answers in just a second. But it's time to meet our fantastic guests today. This dude hailing from Bethez to
Maryland. He created Brooklyn nine to nine, which is now on Netflix. Is it the first four seasons? First four seasons on Netflix? It's awesome. One of my favorite shows. Brooklyn nine nine now on Netflix. He's also behind Killing It, Grand Crew, did Parks and rec He was a writer on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. My new friend Dan Gore is here. Can I just say real quick all those great shows. I haven't watched Killing It yet, but Grand Crew is really funny. Oh that's very nice
of you. Available on Peacock still. I think you'd like Killing It a lot. It's great. It's a very very fun show. Can't wait. All good stuff, mister Gore. What charity are you playing for today?
I'm playing for the Alzheimer's Association. It is an anti Alzheimer's organization that is dedicated to the eradication of Alzheimer's. Graff was a little confused prior he thought it I was somehow funding at Alzheimer's itself, which I said was ridiculous, But it turns out there's a really high percentage of people who are doing that. Terrible, just terrible. They're bad. Those are bad actors, people doing bad actors. Yeah, yeah, I you know, it's it's it's
a horrible, horrible disease. Uh. And my dad recently died of it. That's a bummer to talk about, but also perhaps future trivia for you, but it's true. It's a thing. And again, like you know, that's part of this game is giving back a little bit, a little bit, a little bit that we can so win or lose. We're happy to make a donation in your name and in your dad's name to the Alzheimer's Association. And now it is time to meet your opponent. This guy from
Rochelle Park, New Jersey. I think we went to Hackensack High School. I read somewhere. Guy involved with Happy Endings. He was involved with Blackish. That's where we met, kind of talking about our Blackish days and one of my favorite shows from the last couple of years. This fool on Hulu. Big shout out to Frankie Kenyonez who's one of the funniest people. So
funny. And Chris Estrada great, great, what a pair. Yeah, and then imperially it's like you throw it all in with all the ancillary characters. It's just a really wonderful show on Hulu. You were the head writer on Conan, so you both worked on Conan. You were the head writer for five years in the nineties. Holy smokes. My good pal Jonathan Groff is here. Yay, not the other Jonathan Groff yep, goes. I know you're trying to drive audience to your show, this to this cast with
dangling that name out there. I'm just using you for your name of the more famous graf. Yes, but you will sing, is that correct? Correct? Absolutely? Yes, No, selection of thought songs from Glee and to me Hamilton and mind Hunter. Yeah, some of the very very light songs from mind Hunter. Yeah. Someone why did he do? It? Was always going on in the background, he was. I'm a big mind Hunter fan myself. By the way, he's terrific. By the way,
Jonathan Groff is so nice. I met him one time and he's talked to him a few times. He's so nice. He makes me who generally people say I'm a pretty nice guy, like I'm the asshole Jonathan Groff. He's out nice to you. Oh my god. To be that nice is to be an asshole about I kind of I agree to make you feel bad about how nice you are already. Yeah, exactly, it's aggressive niceness. Let me also say I'm a huge fan of everything you've done and of your work.
Oh, thank you, Dan. Dan and I have actually never worked together, although I have to say Conan and I co created a show called Andy Parker p I with Andy Richter starring years ago, and one of the references besides Andy Richter that that Conan used for that character was I had this writer, Dan Gore, who's just this guy who's just got this level of
positivity and ability to figure stuff out and kind of earnest thing. And I love him and I want to have him be part of like, so he was kind of an inspiration for a character I had barely I met you like twice or something at that point. Yeah. I heard you say that on
a podcast once and I was shocked. I'd never heard that, And I, first of all, I think it's amazing and hilarious, and I only have that relationship with Conan, who somehow scares the but Jesus out of any that I'm like so earnest with him around him, so funny, And when I've told people that, first of all, they're like, no way, I'm like, yeah, Andy Parker PI based on that's hilarious. And then when they're like why and I explained him, they're like, oh, okay,
I don't see that, but yeah, that's so funny. He is scary. I mean, he's a great friend and I love him, but the first he's so hilarious and tall and weirdly kind of intimidating, especially as a comedy writer, like so I and P. The first day that I worked there, he and like Mike Sweeney and I started on the same day, Mike Sweeney who's been with the show forever now and hilarious head writer and now he's kind of like big right hand man on all kinds of stuff that
they do. He uh, he got Sweeny and I started the same day, and Conan came into the writer's room where we're eating dinner that night and just stood up on the sofa playing with guitar, singing this beautifully composed new song about they're here to ruin my show. These two guys came to like I can't sing, but he just you know, made up this song about how we were there to ruin his show for our worst day. Getting back to you, mister Graff, you can follow this dude on the social media's
on Instagram and threads at Jonathan C. Groff. Make sure you get that C in there and then he's on Twitter or x at. Not that growth, mister Grof. What charity are you playing for today? An organization called One Kid, One World that my friend Josh Bessell who's a wonderful writer started and he's great and the organization is terrific and his idea and Tracy McCubbin who's the executive director, they really do kind of micro targeted pinpoints stuff almost to
lead by example. So they've been funding for probably fifteen years now all kinds of projects at a girls school in Kenya, sanitation, solar classrooms, dorms, sanitation products, and then also built entire school in El Salvador and Guatemala. So they just do great work for kids, reaching out and saying like we can change the world one kid at a time. That is awesome. Well, We're happy to make a donation in your name. Win or lose
to one kid, one world. You know the two incredible writers that have made us all laugh heartily over the last few decades. You know what charity's they're playing for. But it's time to get back to the game. To get back, I should say to brass tax and go over our answers for the General Knowledge round. There were eight questions in the round. Question number one was, even though movable type was already in use in East Asia,
what German gets the credit for inventing the print printing press? Dan, what did you put for number one? Guttenberg, guten Togg to guten Berg, Jonathan, what did you put for number one? I had Gutenberg, but I may have had the wrong one because I said Steve, Steve, He's great, He's great. I don't know whether it counts or not. Yeah, so we have Gutenberg and Gutenberg. The correct answer is Johannes Gutenberg Gutenberg one for one, And everybody breaths, all right, did you get that
first one on the board? It really is? Yeah, no goose here. Question number two, what ice cream confection was discontinued by Klondike in the summer of twenty twenty two. I kind of gave you the hint that it's got a funny name. Jonathan, did anything come to you for number two? Yes, of course, it's the Fozzy Wazzi. Ah right, sure, Let's see what Dan put. Dan, did you put the Fozzy Wazzi? I put Iglu crunch, Iglu crunch. Both great guesses, both incorrect.
I hope you've heard of this thing. I don't know if you've ever had one, because I think you would remember it. It's the Choco Taco. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, the Choco Taco. Annie, our producer is telling us that the the a great ice cream play, Salt and Straw is bringing it back. There's a demand for the Choco Taco. Here's what I'm gonna say, Mike, just not to quibble, and I'm not here to pick a fight with you. This is your show, and I know Dan has your back. But you said it was a funny name,
and I don't laugh when I hear Choco Taco. I'm not rolling in the aisles. I've watched Brooklyn nine nine, I've seen episodes of Parks and Recreation penned by Dan Gored. These are funny things. Thank you, Chaco Taco's. It's not that funny. It's not that funny. It was a bad hint. It was a bad hint. You're still not getting the point, but it was a bad hint. I'll give my point. I'll give myself a negative one point for hosting that deserves a splooshe. Question number three was
your sports question. What usc standout was inducted into the inaugural class of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame? Dan, what did you put for number three? Okay, I originally put the last name Leslie, then I raised that, and then I put the last name Miller. But I think it's neither. But I'm just gonna say Miller. And to go with Miller, Jonathan Groff, what did you put? I was thinking of the person with the last name Leslie, but I wrote Lucas, so I'm way off. So
you were thinking Leslie, you put Lucas. We have Lisa Leslie, who was a huge superstar and Hall of Famer. The one I was going for in the inaugural class was Reggie's sister, Cheryl. Cheryl Miller circle gets the square, Dan, Oh my god, that was hail Mary. There well done. I'm a little embarrassed. I'll be honest. I was on I was on Jeopardy in a tournament in two thousand and five and I could not come up with the name of the band Outcast, and I've never really lived
it down. We still love you. It's okay, it's two to one after three. Take it easy, everybody, here we go. Question number four was Saint John's is the capital city of what Easternmost Canadian province? Jonathan, did you make did you make up for Lisa Lucas with number four? I may have, I may not have. I think Eastern Most was helpful because this this is a tricky question, and you know why this is tricky. Mike. I'll let you explain why it's tricky. But I'm going to
say Newfoundland and hope that I'm right. Newfoundland, Dan, what did you put? I put Prince Edward Island. That's Charlottetown, PI. Come on, is that true? Do you guess? I love it? He gets a at your point for that. Yeah, Graff is showing off his world geography skills with Charlottetown Pei, Prince Edward Island, home of Anne of Green Gables. Oh my God. The correct answer though, is they changed their name recently. But I'm still going to give you the point, Graf.

She couldn't read it because she said it was just too much for her to read herself, so they hired Michelle Williams. It was Britney Spears. Oh that's good. I remember coming out and I remember thinking that title is terrible. That's yeah. It really sounds like somebody has been It sounds like a
book about pegging. I mean, I'm just going to say that's probably not a thing to bring up on a no, I'm all for it. You might get a half point for bringing up pegging for the first time on you should know better? Yes you should. Yeah, Question number six was your kind of art? Art question? And who was the all Shapiro Robert Shapiro. Yeah, yeah, I think I think that's like that. They called it the Dream Team of Lawyers. We're on there in there
too. Yeah, was Alan Dershowitz in there. I know he was Klaus von Buloh's guy. Yeah, I think you're probably right. That sounds good. We'll have Annie look up Ojy's defense because there were there was like five or six people with this defense, but you both nailed it. It is Marcia Clark and Christopher Darden who I just voted for in a primary out here. He's a judge here crazy Yeah, yeah, I saw the name and I looked at up. I was like, yep, that's him. He's
a judge. So Marcia Clark and Christopher Darden for number seven and then question number eight. In the election, he won the honor of being one of the answers on your podcast. Groff. It's Sean Young. Gat Young played the replicant Rachel in Blade. Ronert was Sean Young. We're tabulating our scores. Oh my god, we have our first person in the lead. It was tied at four, but after two rounds we have Jonathan Groff with seven points and Dan Gore with eight. It's eight to seven at halftime. We're here with Dan Gore, he's
playing for the Alzheimer's Association. And we're here with Jonathan Groff, he's playing for One Kid, One World. We're happy to make donations in their names to those great charities. As we enter our third of four rounds today, it is the dreaded round three, the lightning round, Lightning round. So
here we are. We're in the Lightning round. Jonathan, you are trailing by one so you get to go first, and today you can choose from these three headings, which have nothing to do with the question nor the answers. But let's go to you know, like your favorite place from your kid. You can go either on the go karts, you can play some mini golf, or you can hit the batting cages. What's your poison, Jonathan, Well, I am in Florida right now watching my son play baseball in
college, So I'm going to go with batting cages. Batting case. Awesome, fantastic, All right, here is your batting cages lightning round question. I'm gonna say the question twice. I'm gonna say, Oh, You're gonna have twenty seconds to just say as many answers as possible. Dan, you're gonna want to jots some answers down because I'm gonna come straight to you with a five second bottle as soon as Jonathan's twenty seconds are up. Here is
your batting cages lightening around question. In terms of revenue, what are the top nine largest deodorant slash anti perspriint brands in the world men's and women's deodorant and anti persperants. Again, terms of revenue, what are the top nine largest deodorant anti perspint brands in the world. Twenty seconds on the clock and a go sure men in Mitcham, right guard, Arid, Irish Spring, Dove, I'm naming soaps a crystal. That's top stop. You got three.
You got number one, which is Dove. You got number six, which is Mitcham, and number eight right guard. You got those three. I have second rebuttal Dan, to see if you can steal some answers from Jonathan. There's still six on the board. Top nine largest anti personal brands in the world. Five seconds and go Secret ax uh and up you stole too. You got Secret which was number two, an Ax which was number five. Let's go over the ones we didn't get to. Number three is
degree degree. Number four. Your old man had this old spice. Old spice. Sure for all you stinky hippies out there, we have Tom's from Maine was number seven and number nine is kind of arm and hammer arm Hammer deodorants. You did very well in batting cages. Now, Dan, it's your turn in the barrel. You can choose from either go karts or mini golf for your lightning round question. Well, my twelve year old daughter's last birthday party was at a go kart track. I'm gonna say, go karts,
go carts. All right, here's your go karts question. I need to know the top nine countries in terms of military spending in the world. Top nine countries in terms of military spending. Twenty seconds on the clock and a go, United States, Russia, China, Japan, Germany, France, Australia, No, England, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, North Korea, South Korea, Brazil, Argentina, Cuba. Up. You got eight
out of nine. You got eight out of nine. You got USA, China, Russia, India, the UK, Germany, France, and South Korea. Jonathan will see if you can steal the one that's still on the board. Five second rebuttal and go Andada, Spain, Sweden, Oh, Italy. Stop, you did not steal it. It's a tough one. It's maybe the toughest one on here. Number five. Saudi Arabia is number five in the world now in military spending. But you guys did incredibly well
in the lightning around. We're tabulating our scores. We have a scoreboard update after three. Dan very impressive in the lightning round. Is taking a commanding lead. It is eighteen to ten after three. I'm surprised. Yeah, not to worry, Jonathan, double Duty's coming up. I'm not worried, but I am freaking out. Ah, so I can probably hear it in my voice. All right, it's eighteen to ten as we head into our fourth and final round between Jonathan and Dan. Round four, the Double Duty.
It is the Theodore Double Duty Radcliff round called the double Duty because points are doubled and there are nine questions in this round, so there are eighteen very important points up for grabs. The category for the Double Duty today is the United States in the twentieth century. So these are all questions about history and pop culture of the United States and the nineteen hundreds. Here is question number one of nine. What mission was the first to land a person on
the Moon? What was the moon mission that landed someone on the Moon for the very first time? For question number one, you want the name and the number or do you okay? Name and number please? For question number one? All right? Question number two. In nineteen ninety three, Carol Moseley Braun became the first black female US senator. I want to know from what Midwest state? Did she? In nineteen ninety three, Carol Moseley Braun
became the first black female US Senator from which mid West state? For question number two? All right? Question number three after death of a Salesman? Arthur Miller won Best New Play again at the nineteen fifty three Tony Awards with what other work? Again? For question number three? After death of a Salesman? Which I think was in nineteen forty nine, Arthur Miller won Best New Play at the nineteen fifty three Tony Awards with what other work? For
question number three? Question number four. NAFTA was implemented back in the year nineteen ninety four, reducing or eliminating tariffs on imports and exports between Canada, the US and Mexico. What does NAFTA stand for? What does that acronym stand for? NAFTA? For question number four? Again, it was iplemented back in ninety four, reducing or eliminating tariffs on imports and exports between Canada, the US and Mexico. What does NATTA stand for? For number four?
Question number five? What soul artists put out a bunch of incredible albums in the nineteen seventies, including Talking Book, Inner Visions, and Songs in the Key of Life? Again for number five. What soul artists put out a bunch of incredible albums in the nineteen seventies, including Talking Book, Inner Visions, and Songs in the Key of Life. Name that artist for number
five? All right? Question number six a little multiple choice. Women got the right to vote in the United States when Congress ratified the nineteenth Amendment in what round year was it nineteen hundred? Was it nineteen ten? Or was it nineteen twenty? Again? For question number six. Women got the right to vote finally in the United States when Congress ratified the nineteenth Amendment in what round year was it nineteen hundred, nineteen ten or nineteen twenty? Okay?
Question number seven, What I want to know from you is what for sports did Jackie Roosevelt Robinson letter in while attending UCLA. He was at Pasadena City College and was still kicking ass in all the sports, and then at UCLA he lettered in these four sports. Named those four sports that Jackie Robinson lettered in as a bruin for question number seven. All Right, Question number eight your penultimate question in this round, The double duty Hillary Swank won the Best
Actress Oscar Back in nineteen ninety nine. Can you name both the film and the character she portrayed in it again question number eight. Great actress Hillary Swank won the Best Actress Oscar Back in nineteen ninety nine. Can you name both the film and the character she portrayed in it? For question number eight? And finally question number nine, Here it is. It might all come down
to this. What president was assassinated in Buffalo on September sixth, nineteen oh one by Leon Cholgos or cho Goosh and was succeeded by Vice President Teddy Roosevelt. Name that president? So again for question number nine. What president was assassinated in Buffalo on September sixth, nineteen oh one by Leon Chogosh and was succeeded by Vice President Teddy Roosevelt. Oghos was an anarchist. I know that. Yep. All right, let's go over your answers. So pencils down,
let's go over your answers. Very interesting, Theodore double duty Radcliff round. It was the United States in the twentieth century. Question one of nine was what mission was the first to land a person on the moon? Dan Start US off for number one. You know, I went back and forth between Apollo nine and Apollo eleven, and I'm saying Apollo eleven follow eleven, Jonathan, What did you put? I also said Apollo eleven, Pollo eleven,
and Apollo eleven. The correct answer is Apollo eleven. It's Apollo eleven. Trust your gut. Then just a couple missions later, all hell breaks loose question number two. In nineteen ninety three, Carol Moseley Braun became the first black female US Senator from which Midwest state? Jonathan? Illinois? Illinois? Dan? What did you put? I went back and forth between Indiana and Illinois. I settled on Illinois, and I are from the Hoosier state,
where both Hoosiers and you are correct. The correct answer is Illinois. The Land of Lincoln was the first state to elect first black female US Senator, Carol Moseley brown Back in ninety three. Two for two question number three, after death of a salesman, Arthur Miller won the Best New Play again at the nineteen fifty three Tony Awards with What Work, Dan, Crucible?
The Crucible? Jonathan, what did you put? I wrote a view from the bridge and then crossed it out and wrote the Crucible because I felt like it's always the flintstones, it's never the rubbles. That was what was said to me before I went. Before I went on Jeopardy, I talked to a Jeopardy the guy who would want to bunch, and he said, it's always always guessed the flintstones and not the rubbles. So the Crucible is the
more famous play, and I just went with that. That is great advice because the correct answer is the Crucible in the Salem which trial, it is the Crucible by Arthur Miller. For number three, you are three four to three apiece, Holy smoked. Question number four. NAFTA was implemented back in nineteen ninety four, reducing eliminating tariffs or on imports and exports between Canada, the US, and Mexico. What does NAFTA stand for, Jonathan, I
think it's North American Free Trade Agreement. I was a little nervous about the A, but I said agreement North America Trade said the same thing, the North American Free Trade Agreement and the North American Free Trade Agreement. It is the North American Free Trade Agreement. Nailing it, Holy agreement. Cow. You guys are an agreement on agreement? Question number five, what soul artists put out a bunch of incredible albums in the nineteen seventies, including Talking Book,
Inner Visions, and Songs in the Key of Life? Dan, I am certain I got this wrong, but I wrote Aretha Franklin, Wretha Franklin, Great guests, Jonathan, what did you put Stevie Wonder? Stevie Wonder also known as Steve Land Morris. It is Stevie Wonder. Two big points, two big points for Jonathan, right there. Question number six, Women got the right to vote finally in the United States when Congress ratified the nineteenth
Amendment. In what round year was it nineteen hundred, nineteen ten or nineteen twenty, Mister Groff, I was almost positive of this, but now I'm doubting it. But I'm still going to say at nineteen twenty, nineteen twenty? Dan, what did you put for number six? Nineteen twenty as well? I remember my grandma was born nineteen fourteenth before women had the right to vote? Holy smokes, the correct answer is nineteen twenty. You guys are
destroying this round. Well done. Question number seven, what four sports did Jackie Robinson letter in while attending UCLA. Dan say, track and field, baseball, football, and basketball. Jonathan, what did you put? I had that exact same list baseball, football, track and field, and basketball, and you would both be correct. We remember basketball. Yeah, it's
great. Well, in doing a little research on it and just looking him up recently, because there was a couple of cool things I learned is that like at UCLA, baseball was probably his worst sport, Like, like he batted kind of horribly at UCLA. He was, you know, a great defensive player and he could run the bases like nobody's business. But like his batting average kind of sucked while at UCLA, and that was probably, like
overall, probably the worst sport he played. He was so good. And then I learned that his older brother Mack won the silver medal behind Jesse Owens at the nineteen thirty six Berlin Olympics. And I didn't know that. I'm like Mac Robinson, It's like the family was just incredible. So Mac Robinson and Jackie Robinson like both have done in credit stuff. That's incredible. Yeah, question number eight, I felt could have been a little tougher. Hillary
Swank won the Best Actress Oscar back in nineteen ninety nine? Can you name both the film and the character she portrayed in it? Jonathan, what did you put for number eight? Well, it's confusing, right because you could put million Dollar Baby, but I think it's Boys Don't Cry and the character is Brandon Tita or Tina Brandon. I believe, Okay, boys don't Cry and Brandon Tina or Tina Brandon. Dan, what did you put for number eight? I put boys Don't Cry? But the fact that you remember the
name is Nobel Prize level. But I agree it could be a million Dollar Baby. I don't know. The correct answer is boys Don't Cry and it was based on the real tragic story of Brandon Tina. So you're going to get two big points. I'll give one points to mister Gore forgetting boys Don't Cry, but Jonathan impressive with boys Don't Cry and Brandon Tina for number eighth. Question number nine? What president was assassinated in Buffalo on September sixth,
nineteen oh one by Leon Schogosh and was succeeded by Teddy Roosevelt? For number nine, Dan, what did you put? Leave that is President McKinley, President William McKinley, Jonathan, what did you put William McKinley, William McKinley and William McKinley. The correct answer is William McKinley. Oh my god, what an impressive, incressive, impressive round, I should say from both of you. We're tabulating our final scores. Oo, I think grawfriend of the
table on that one. Jonathan swept the round. I swept the round, but it's not enough to turn it around. Unbelievab're tabulating it scores. We have Jonathan Groff twenty eight points, Dan Gore with thirty three. You closed the gap. But Dan Gore, you are in fact the smartest person in the world for one week. We got out the window. Oh god, you jumped out of the window. Holy shit. That lightning round you were killed. That lightning round. You got eight of nine in the lightning.
There are certain sporkles that I would play obsessively when I was in the room at Brooklyn, often to like make sure my mental acuity hadn't diminished. That's awesome. You are our champ. You are the smartest person in the world for one week. We're happy to make a donation in your name. Dan Gore, to the Alzheimer's Association again. Everybody, watch Brooklyn ninety nine, it's now on Netflix, first four seasons, and watch Killing It Grand Crew,
and then Jonathan Groff. We're happy to make a donation in your name to One Kid, One World. You can follow him on Instagram and threads at Jonathan C. Groff or on Twitter at not that Groff. Watch Happy Endings and Blackish and This fool on who o Loo Right now, great game, chance, but the game is not over. It's time for the final throwdown, the final throwdown. This is where Annie's gonna come back here and
throw up a one off question. I'll read it to the world, we'll have a little discussion, and then we'll reveal the answer and hopefully learn a little something something before all is through. So Annie, if you were at the ready, put up the final throw down question. All right, name two of the three films tied for the most Oscar wins? Oh, since the Oscars we're recording this show right before the ceremony, named two of the three films tied for the most Oscar wins. Titanic jumps out at me right
away. Again, we're not writing this now, we're just discussion at me. I know we're not writing it down, but I wrote down to jumped out at me. The other one that jumped out of me was from one Isaac. I remember Maybe just got nominated a lot and it seemed like the sting. I thought, oh, it's one of my favorite films. Yeah, it won a lot too. I remember The Best Days of Our Lives. Also, one that's a great movie. Yeah, and ben Her I
remember winning a counter being nominated for like eleven or thirteen awards. Was Gladiator, some movie like Gladiators that that won some it's got to be one that wins like all of it that's got to win, you know, Best Picture, Actress and then like a bunch of like other costuming, you know, makeup or special effects or something like that. Yeah, because I don't know if Titanic did. Kate and Leo probably didn't win for Best Actor and Actress.
I definitely didn't win. I know there's certain years like Silence of the Lambs one picture director and actor and actress and stuff like that that could be it. But Titanic won like ten Tech right Article Cander stuff too. So I like The Lord of the Rings did one of the Lords do very well. That that could be up there too, the Return of the King or something. These are all great. Yeah, well we might be missing one,
but I feel like Titanic's got to be one of the three. What do you guys want to go with for the For the other one, I don't know. All right, we'll go with We'll go with Titanic and the Silence of the Lambs Uh in the our two nineties picks for I think we got Titanic, but I'm not. I don't think Silence won that many. All right, reveal the answer and he put us out of our misery, and then we'll learn about this. Oh oh my god, we talked about
all of them. We did great. So it's Titanic, it is been Her, and it is the Lord of the Rings, the Return of the King. So we did well. So let's they're all tied with eleven wins. They have double digits and wins, which is impressive unless you're someone else that's nominated that year, where you're like, fuck these guys. Titanic had fourteen nominations, so they were eleven for fourteen. Ben hur was nominated for
twelve oscars in one eleven, so that's pretty good percentage. Lord of the Rings nominated for eleven and had the biggest sweep in history, winning every nomination. They didn't lose once, and Walt Disney holds the most wins for a person with twenty two. Interesting one to me because what movies were getting nominated? Were they getting winning animated awards like Fantasia or Snow White or yeah,
winning technical awards? Yeah, I think so. I think he had all sorts of technical awards and animation awards, and then I'm sure they won Best Animated whenever that started. I don't know when that started that category, but I'm sure they won pretty much every year. Yeah, that was very interesting, but we talked all around it. We did well. Gentlemen. It was a pleasure to have you on the pod. I wish you nothing but great successes and good health in twenty twenty four. And let's tip one back
soonish that would be great. And good luck to the Kenyon baseball team. Thank you, Dan, Thank you Mike, thank you Annie. A lot of fun. Appreciate it. Congratulations Dan.
