For question number one, what bourbon based cocktail is a best seller every year at the Kentucky Derby. Churchill Downs For question number one, how are we feeling after one question? Good? I was just thinking how much I love bourbon, so right out of the gate, I was just thinking, I'm I'm gonna

get b about one question. I don't know the answer. That's all right. This is determining our friendship, whether we stay friends or not. Okay, that fragile. I didn't know we were that frad or we are. We are a thin like a dental flaws thin the line. Oh, good luck, everybody, Good luck everyone. The steaks have risen in this contest. Holy smokes, Annie, do you like bourbon? No? Not at all? Okay, No, I mean I remember drinking like hot Toddies as

a kid when you're no, when you were sick. I listen, when you go to Midwest like that was. You know, you have a cold or you have whatever you got the whiskey, honey and lemon. You know, you gosh, a thimble size are a little bit more than that. Rub some rub some whiskey on their gums if they're teething. Or I had a grandmother that would I would like kind of saute onions and put them on, put them on your chest when you had like congestion or something. It

was onions on your chest. It was like you know Vapo rub if you didn't have vix Vapo rub, which everything as well, put some onions on your on your chest, like grandma, Sure, let's try it. That's great, all right, question number two? Are you ready for question number two? Yes, we're going old school with some TV. For question number two on the TV show Different Stroke, what was the last name of the two brothers, Arnold and Willis? And or what was the last name of

the father daughter characters Philip and Kimberly. You don't need both. If you give me both, I might give you a bonus point. But again for question number two on the TV show one of my favorites growing up, Different Strokes, Yes, what was the last name of the two brothers, Arnold and Willis? And or what was the last name of the father daughter characters Philip or phil and Kimberly. Oh? Yeah, I was both. I know, I know one of them for sure, because I well, I

mean, I used to love that show. But like I was on a show in the early two thousands called The Rerun Show, which was like a summer replacement show on NBC, and we took old sitcomscripts and we redid them and we did different Strokes and I played I'm not saying his name, but mister so and so. Oh yes, right is that's great. That's a

cool idea. The rerun show like what was on for like it was just on like for a summer thing, but we did like facts of Life and different shokes, and we did like married with Children and Saved by the Bell and others and others. That's a great idea. The Jeffersons, I was Bentley, that's awesome. And then they did that recently too, I think on ABC where they brought some shows back and just put a listers in all the spots for all in the Family or the Jeffersons, and that was awesome.

All right? Question number three, I think this is in the wheelhouse for one of you. For question number three in your general knowledge round, in what US city would you find the very famous Fox Theater and Cadillac Tower? For question number three? In what US city? Where it was in New York, it was in London, it was in Edinburgh, was at the fringe Fest. Probably my friend Annie Surditch

is here. Claps, claps, claps all around. You can follow Annie Surditch on social media. This is easy, Annie Surgage. Annie, what charity are you playing for today? I am playing for a Straight Cat Alliance. It's a charity that is everything from wellness, fostering adopting tn R which is trap and Newter. And you can donate, you can volunteer, you

can just even follow them on Instagram and give some likes. But they're a great organization because there are so many kitty cats who need our help well win or lose. We're happy to make a donation in your name to the Stray Cat Alliance. Thank you. Can I also say that I think Annie's solo show is fantastic and if people haven't had a chance to see if they should

thank you, Mitch. I will back that up and say that both Annie and the person I'm about to introduce right now are two of the funniest people on the planet. I am the biggest fan of both of you, and if you could see them do anything, you'll be better for it. This gent is from all the way from LA from Los Angeles, Encino. He's an Encino man. You saw him as a flight attendant and Bridesmaids. He was in the movie Spy. He was also on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Gray's

Anatomy. You can see him in a sweet ass red suit on All Rise. Recently, my good pal Mitch Silka Yay Clap, pop Pup. They put me on the I ended up doing like ten or eleven episodes of All Rise, and they always had me in different colored suits they would like it would be my favorite. The red one was amazing, but there was one that was like burnt orange. It was like a couch I had when I was a kid. I love it. It's it pops, it pops, bye pops. Yeah. You can follow Mitch at Mitch Silka Picks on the

social media and Mitch, what charity are you playing for? I am playing for Project Agal Food. You know what charities they're playing for. But it's time to get back to the game. Let's get back to brass Tax and go over our answers for very fun General knowledge Round. Question one of eight was what bourbon based cocktail is a bestseller every

year at the Kentucky Derby. Annie will start with you. What did you get for number one? Manhattan? A man? Mitch? What did you put for night? I just wrote an old fashion because I love old fashions. What it is an old or a Manhattan? I'm going to have to put two x's next to your answers. It is the mint julip. You were a crazily huge hass Yes, a tic Williams play. We should know because anytime we do get stuck doing the styles of tennessee Williams on the grounding

stage. My only reference are mintjulips, it's hot, and that you know women need to have low lighting because they're they should be shaved. Like yes, but I always say it's like the easiest go to joke and I didn't even think of it. Well, and now you'll never forget no harm, no foul, no one. I'm putting a line through my answer. Yeah, it is a mint jewelip for number one. Question number two, let's

see if we can get back on the trolley. On the TV show from Strokes, what was the last name of the two brothers, Arnold and Willis or what was the last name of the father daughter characters Philip and Kimberly. Mitch, we'll start with you for question number two. Well, I know it's Drummond for the father daughter Drummond, and that was my mister Drummond, and I think it's Jackson. Was it Jackson? Thinks it's Jackson? Annie? What did you put for number two? I put Drummond as well,

and then I put Coleman, but I think that's wrong. Gary Coleman played Arnold, Todd Bridges played Willis, right, and they were the Jackson brothers. They were Arnold and Willis Jackson. So Mitchell gets it. And then of course, yeah, mister d or Philip and Kimberly Drummond. So Mitch, I'm gonna give you two points, yay, And Annie you're gonna get one point because you got Drummond. It is Jackson and Drummond for question number

two. I love that show until missus Garrett left. Yeah, when they brought in the little Redhead Sam and Maggie, it got kind of weird. I think after that question number three, in what US city would you find the very famous Fox Theater and Cadillac Tower, Annie, Detroit, Dtroit, Michigan. Mitch, what did you put? Said Detroit. Also because when you said one of you should know this, and I didn't, I know where Annie from, so I figured, yes, Bloomfield Hills represents it is

Detroit. Detroit, Michigan is US city. For question number three, question number four, what Musketeer had hit songs Beautiful, Ain't No Other Man? And Dirty? Mitch? What did you get? For number four? Christina Aguilera. Christina Aguilera, Annie, do you agree with that? I agree you Yeah, they say yes, yes, So we're three and three, but you have an extra point. It is Tina ex Tina, Christina Aguilera. For question number four, question we're all up to mohair. It all

comes down to mohair. Mohair is a fabric or yarn made from what animal? Miss Surtitch. This is wrong and I regret even saying. I wrote down the lamb. Then I wrote down a goat. What are you choosing Lamb? That's because it was my first thing I wrote. I'm not gonna cheat, but it's like Cashmir, I don't know it's I'm wrong. Lamb is a great guest, Mitch. What did you put from that? Actually was going to say lamb? That was my first guest but I wrote down

sheep, lamb or sheep. You're very close, but it's not either of those things. Annie, with your second guess, it's an angora goat. An angora goat is what mohair comes from as an angora goat. Okay, it's corus, right. I think it is a little more. Yeah, it's not as soft as cashmere. He's not as soft as cut cashmere car. But an ang or a goat. For question number five, question number six, there will be blood. The film is loosely based on the novel

Oil written by what author of the Jungle? Mitch? Did you come up with that author's name? For number six? Is it Sinclair Lewis? Sinclair Lewis? Annie, what did you put? Or will or well? Orwell? And Sinclair Lewis? Oh? I almost want to give a half point to Mitch, but I can't. They often get mixed up. It's not Sinclair Lewis. It's Upton Sinclair. You're very so, do I I got Sinclair. Don't give it to him. I can't give it to you this

time. It is Upton Sinclair that wrote The Jungle about the meat packing plants in Chicago. He also wrote Oil that there will be blood is based off of question number seven, what is the main color nowadays of the Taco Bell logo? Annie? Purple? Purple, purple, nurple, Mitch, what did you put for numbers? I read? I have no idea. The correct answer is purple, purple and white is the now the logo for Taco Bell? And question number eight first lady graduated from Whitney Young High School,

which was also in Chicago Princeton, and then Harvard Law School. Mitch, what did you put for number eight? God? I'm still torn, but my first person I wrote was Michelle Obama. Michelle Obama, Annie, what did you put for number eight? Hillary Clinton? That's Hillary Clinton. I thought it could come down to those two. One of you is correct, one of you is incorrect. Your friendship hangs in the balance, and the answer is Michelle Obama, Oh Bama for question number eight? Totally. This

close game, I think is a close game. You're close, OKAYO game? Close game? Always fine? I love it. Here we go, Oh my gosh, it's super close. After the general knowledge round, we have Annie Surtich with four points and Mitch Silpa with five. It's five to four after one as we head into round two, which is always our pop culture grab bag. For question number five, A team of commandos on a mission in Central America in the Central American Jungle, I should say, find themselves hunted by an extra terrestrial warrior. Again question number five, A team of commandos on a mission in the Central American jungle find themselves hunted by an extra terrestrial warrior. For question number five, all right, Question

number six. Nancy Myers wrote this film where the life of super yuppy JC, who's played by Diane Keaton, is thrown into turmoil when she inherits a one year old from a distant relative. A little more of a deeper cut from nineteen eighty seven, Nancy Meyers deeper cut. I think it was at least in my In my purview is that this was a deeper cut. Nancy Myers wrote this film where the life of super yuppy JC, played by Diane Keaton, is thrown into turmoil when she inherits a one year old from a

distant relative name that film from eighty seven for question number six. Question number seven goes like this, A test pilot is mini miniatureized in a secret experiment and accidentally injected into a hapless store clerk. How am I getting back on the horn with this one? This one you rented for so many sleepovers? Annie, I know you did. A test pilot is miniaturized in a secret experiment and accidentally injected into a hapless stock clerk. Sure you need a hint,

Mitch doesn't. But do you need a hint? No, because I don't want shet Any's so angry. They are friendships over. I know you know what you said that no matter what happens, our friendship is going to be over. But somebody's got to win. So, like you were, in a precarious situation here unless we tie, No, you're already I know you. This is such an easy round for you. You're a movie. He can name the Oscars from like nineteen fifty. No, that's not what

I can do. Okay, you can do it from nineteen ninety to seventy. We're in the eighties. I can name every NFL team because my brother had thencil Sharpeners Okay, I knew all the helmets based on the colors, But no, I didn't grow up in a high falute movie family. Knew I get three things on laser disc and two on BHS. You will be happy to know that round four is all about football pencil sharpeners. So a comeback. You're gonna make a comeback, I can tell right Here we go

question number eight in your pop culture grab bag. These are all films from nineteen eighty seven. Three Single women in a picturesque village have their wishes granted at a cost when a mysterious and flamboyant man arrives in their lives. Question number eight. Three single women in a picturesque village have their wishes granted at a cost when a mysterious and flamboyant man arrives in their lives. That was

a tough one for question number eight. Okay, pencils down. Let's go over our answers from the pop culture grab bag films of nineteen eighty seven. Here was question number one of eight. A cruel but beautiful heiress mox and Sheets a hired carpenter. She gets amneese after an ACCIDENTITYA decides to introduce her to regular life by convincing her that their husband and wife. Mitch will start with you, what did you get overboard? Over Annie? What did you

get? One hundred and one Dalmatians? One hundred and one Dalmatians that deserves a splosh that did not come out in eighty seven? All I could think of she was a high end woman Cruella de Ville. This was Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell in for Board, Ni. Mitch. Kurt Russell made me crazy. He was younger. I thought he was so sexy. Escape from New York, Big Trouble kinda the thing. He went on a run there where It was just like he was a badass and everything. Everyone loved him.

Yeah. Question number two. After moving to a new town, two brothers discovered that the area is a haven for vampires. Annie, Lost Boys, The Lost Boys, Mitch, what did you put Lost Boys with that weird guy, that greasy guy playing the saxophone with his shirt off? The Lost Boys? For number two? Nice, I had a huge crush on the guy with the dark hair. It was a little I was a little Jason Patrick. Jason Patrick, he like did it a little bit, he

did more and then he fell off into an oblivion. Right. Yeah. He did the sequel to Speed, Oh right, right, right, Speed Tootle. What was it called Speed to Full Throttle something like? It did have a parenthetical title where it was yeah, and it was on a cruise ship. Maybe it's Cruise Control speed to Cruise Control, full steam Ahead. It's something like that. Will have Annie to look that up. Annie the producer will look up. What was Speed two's parenthetical title, Cruise Control.

Boom, there it is Speed Cruise Control, starring Jason Patrick. Uh. He also did that movie with Jennifer Jason Lee where he was all fucked up on drugs, So that was a one word title, Rush Rush, God,

it's all coming back, all right? Question number three Axel Foley returns to help Taggart and Rosewood investigate Chief Boga Mill's near fatal shooting and the series of alphabet crimes associated with it. Mitch Beverly Hills Cop, Beverly Hills Cop to Annie, what did you put for number three Beverly Hills Cop two because you said the return of Axel, Yeah, Beverly Hills three early, Na, Yeah, I was later and then I think there's a fourth one coming

this summer or you like teaching his son or something to be a conference probably probably, but yeah, Hills fully from Detroit, Michigan. Again like a T shirt that said Detroit and the theme song or the I can play it on the piano, don don don done exactly, thank you. That is true. That was Neutron dance in one of the Yeah, yeah maybe in the original. Yeah, Neutron dance. Great song by the Pointer sisters.

Yeah, axel F, the heat is on. Yeah, that heat is on the second one Glenn Fry and then axel F. That theme was I think was that Walter Valtemeyer or some weird but yeah, yeah, the soundtrack. Every once in a while Mitch Frock stage when someone will say, like is the ac or you'll just hear this man from foot it is all that's one of yours, Mitch. Yeah, it's my current references. You have another one too, Do you know which one? I do? I don't know. You have another one. You do a song lyric, but you

sing it in that voice. No, no, your body maybe to do the conga as that voice too, But there's another one probably probably. Okay, here we go, moving right along. Question number four and outcast secretly pays the most popular girl in school one thousand dollars to pretend to be his girlfriend for a month. Annie, it's not right, pretty in pink. That's not right, pretty in pink, Mitch. What did you put for

number four? Can't Buy Me Love? Oh? Yeah? Patrick Dempsey in Can't Find Me Love, Can't Buy Me Love, where he's a he mow's lawns for a living. Yeah, that's right. Can't buy Me Love with Patrick Dempsey for number four. Question number five. A team of compremandos on mission in a Central American jungle find themselves hunted by an extra terrestrial warrior. Mitch Predator, Predator, Annie, what did you put for number five? Yeah? That you play Predian. That's where we had Conan the Barbarian and

Apollo Creed joined forces. It was Predator. Yes? For number five, Question number six. Nancy Myers wrote this film where the life of super yuppie JC, played by Diane Keaton is thrown into turmoil when she inherits a one year old from a distant relative. Annie Surditch, did it come to you? Yes? Oh? No, I can't buy a hat because I've had a baby. Is that the title? Oh? No, I can't buy

another hat because I had a baby. Yes, that's the title. I believe it's kind of the plot that's going to garner you a half a point for just inventiveness, Governess. That's fucking hilarious. Mitch has got it, though, I think, Mitch, what do you got like? Baby Boom? Oh? Gross? What was it? Baby Boom? I saw that

movie in the there with Sam Shepherd played her love interest. And my story with baby Boom was my friend Greg and I were in line to buy tickets this before you could buy him before him, and there was an elderly woman that you should play Annie and in front of us, and she said one for big bam boom. She kept calling him big bam boom, big bam boom. One for big bam boom. Oh, my god, ma'am, do you mean baby boom? No. I wanted to set big bam boom.

Oh, that's not playing here. At the Lemley h guy was shown by the newspaper Diane Keaton. She was yeah, she was like a corporate woman and she took off I remember at the beginning like she like watched in sneakers and then put on our heels, work and then took them off put

the sneakers when he was walking to New York. That was I feel Yeah, I feel like in like ten movies in the eighties they did that whole like opening montage or one montage of like the changing into the Reebok high top, like aerobic shoes, scrunchy socks into the stilettos of the high heels for

like Working Girl or nine to five or yeah Yeah. So to recap question number six, Annie's getting a half point for that hilarious answer and Mitch gets the full point for baby boom for number six Big boom, Yeah, big boom. Now I'm gonna think that every time I see that that movie. Post to question number seven, a test pilot is miniatureized in a secret experiment and accidentally injected into a hapless store clerk. Mitch inner space, inner space,

Annie, tron Tron, that's a great guess we had. Dennis Quaid and Martin Short are both in interspace and Meg Ryan Yes, Young Meg Ryan and Ryan. And finally question number eight, three single women in a picturesque village have their wishes granted at a cost when a mysterious and flamboyant man arrives in their lives. Annie, I was like, this is either hocus Pocus or that eighties movie Mama, Mia, Oh I got, That's what I got. Which one are you gonna pick? Oh fine, I'll pick hocus

Pocus. But that's so that's wrong too. They're like witches hocus Pocus. Mitch, what did you put for number three? Heay? First of all, I thought this description was really tricky, and then I got it. God bless you, Annity. I will say you were right on some level. Wrong Witches, it was the Witches of Eastwood. Oh, I think that flamboyant man was played by Jack Nicholson. It is the Witches of east Wick. That answer deserves huzza. All right, we are tabulating our scores.

We have a scoreboard update. Annie surtic with seven and a half. Mitch Silpa takes a commanding lead with thirteen. It's thirteen to seven and fare I saw most of those movies in the theater with that old woman with that old that old coat, big bamboom. All right, it's thirteen to seven and a half. At halftime again, we're playing with Mitch Silpa. You can follow him at Mitch Silpa picks. He's playing for Project Angel Food. And then we have Annie Surtich. You can follow her on social media at

Annie Surtitch and she's playing for the Stray Cat Alliance. As we head into our third of four rounds today, it is the dreaded Lightning round Round three, the lightning round. I'm terrified. I'm genuinely terrified. Yeah, let's I'm gonna get my stop launch at the ready. So Annie, you are trailing, you can go first. You're gonna choose from the three headings. Again, these headings have nothing to do with the question nor the answers.

You can choose today. From these three wonderful items. You can choose the clapper, a shake weight, or a chut chut chu chia chia pet for your lightning round question, name your poison clapper. You're gonna choose the clapper, all right, I think you chose wisely, my friend. I'm gonna say the question twice. I'm gonna say, go hit the button. You're

gonna have twenty seconds to just say as many answers as possible. Mitch, You're gonna jot some answers down because I'm gonna come straight to you with your five second rebuttal as soon as Annie's twenty seconds are up, is your clapper question in the lightning round per the AV Club, name the nine best Looney Tunes characters. Again per the AV Club, this is just subjective from them,

but name the nine best Looney Tunes characters. Twenty seconds on the clock and a go Bugs Bunny, the female Bunny, road Runner, pey Uh, Parky Pig, oh Tasmanian devil. And you did great. You got three. You got bugs Bunny number one, Porky Pigs number five, and the Roadrunner is number six. All right, Mitch, your chance to steal some answers. Five seconds on the clock for the AV Club, named the nine best Looney Tunes characters are still six on the board. Five seconds and

a go okay, I think different ones. Elmer Fudd, Foghorn, Leghorn, Yosemite, Sam stop I think you just got Yosemite, Sam under the wire. You got to you got Elmer Fudd and Sam gun gun Tote. Let's go the ones we didn't get to. Number two, Daffy Duck, Oh, Daffy Duck, along with the road Runner. Number three on the list is while e Coyote Way Wiley, number seven, Sylvester the cat with the lisp, Sylvester, and then number nine kind of to go with Sylvester.

You have tweety bird tweety Oh yeah. But you did very well on the Clapper question the Looney Tunes characters. But now it's your turn in the barrel, Mitch. It's your turn to either choose from shake weight or a chia pet for your question. I will go with the chia pet. Chia

pet. All right, how much time do I have? You're gonna have twenty seconds on the clock to say as many answers, and he's gonna write some answers down because I'm gonna come to her with her five second Buttle after your twenty seconds is up, Mitch, here is your chia pet question. I'll say it twice. I need for you to name the last nine vice presidents, including the current one. Oh my gosh, the nine last vice presidents of these here United States. Twenty seconds on the clock and a go

Kamala Harris, Mike Pence, Joe Biden. Oh wait it was who's a Bush's? Uh? I don't remember bushes? Vice president? Stop? You got the last three? You got the three right off? The bat. You've got Kamala Harris, Mike Pence and Joe Biden. You got the last three, so there's still six on the board, last nine vice presidents of these here United States. Annie's got her five second rebuttal to try and steal

some answers. Five seconds on the clock, Annie and a go Al Gore, Cheraldine Ferraro and George Bush Junior. Calvin she was Walter Mondate's Mondale's running mate. I should say, as Geraldine, remember President George, and what can we mean? I meant the old older one. Well you didn't say that, honey, I wrote, did you write senior? Yeah, but it's fine, I said, if I said, that's fine, if you wrote if you wrote senior, you got it then, because we'll go over

the ones we didn't get to. But you did get Al Gore. And then if you said George Bush Senior, it's George H. W. Bush was Ronald Reagan's. So we'll give you two points. You stole to there the ones we didn't get. How could we forget Dick Cheney? I know, I just remembered it, like, how can Dick Cheny so evil? And then under George H. W. Bush from my home state and Annie's home state of Indiana. I was dan Quayle, remember him. I didn't

know we were going back that far spelled potato dan Quayle. And and yeah, under Jimmy Carter, you had Walter Mondale Dale ron Dale. Okay, for I was wrong, but I was in the right world. We ran as a vice presidential and then for Gerald Ford for just a little bit, you had Nelson Rockefeller. Nelson Rockefeller was a vice under Gerald Ford. But well done in the lightning round that was excellent. Stuck on George W. Bo the steal what was it called the steel the boat recall, Oh yeah,

the recall, the hanging chads and stuff and hanging chad. How could you forget the hanging chad? That was like everybody's joke, you know. After a very fun lightning round, we have a scoreboard update. Annie Surgitch with twelve and a half points and Mitch Silpa continues to lead with eighteen. It's eighteen to twelve and a half. It was a category about New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Question one of nine was in what year did the first ball drop occur? In Times Square? Was it seven, nineteen twenty seven or nineteen forty seven?

Annie? What did you put for number one? I think I know this because something I was working on with my writing partner I had to do with like the newspapers, and it was the different type of newspapers and New York Times. So I want to say it's like nineteen oh seven because I think that they had something to do with the first ball dropping in that the New York Times did. So that's my guest. Nineteen oh seven, nineteen ought seven, Mitch, you put for number one? Probably Annie's right.

I had no idea, Yes it was. I just said nineteen twenty seven, nineteen twenty seven. One of you is correct, one of you was incorrect. It wasn't nineteen forty seven. It's either seven was twenty seven. The correct answer for the first ball drop in Times square was nineteen oh seven, ninety seven. And he gets two very large points. This game's getting

tighter by the second question number two. What band had a hit song titled New Year's Day back in nineteen eighty three off their album war Mitch I said, soft Cell ah tainted love by Soft Cell Annie. it. You gotta hang on, Mitch, you got to hang on. I do. Question number four. In nineteen seventy one, advertisements for what product were banned from American television? Mitch? Were they cigarettes? Cigarettes? Annie? What did you put? Well? I was like cigarettes, but I know I saw the Marlboro Man. But then I'm like, I think I only saw in magazines. And then I was like guns, but guns are probably never on TV, like, hey, by this gun. So

I'm going to say cigarettes because I think I only saw in magazines. But I was not can I change my answer. Wait, I can't change that. No, I can't change my answer. We both said cigarettes, cigarettes and cigarettes. The correct answer though is cigarettes. Oh we both got it right. Go with you. Never remember seeing commercials for cigarettes, but I wrote the Marlboro Man ads like Like and Virginia Slim. But maybe they were

always in magazines. Yeah, magazines, they were everywhere because they still could. So there was still billboards I think in magazines where you would see stuff for cigarettes. But seventy I totally remember. I was gonna go like it was it that alcohol? But no, I mean I remember Martini and Rossi on the Rocks, So yes, I remember Sea Grooms. One cooler, wasn't that with Bruce Willis? Yeah? The return of Bruno his album that came out around that time. Yeah, he got famous for singing really shitty

blues music, but those Seagrums commercials. He could do no wrong. He could do moonlighting, diehard. He was everywhere and we all loved him. And God, the return of Bruno, Holy smokes. Rose Bowl. It is the Rose Bowl two points a piece. Question number six, What author of the notebook was born on New Year's Even nineteen sixty five? Mister Silpa, Hi, I know it, and I don't. I couldn't get it would pop into my head. So I'm just saying, Scott Scott Fitzgerald. Of course, Annie, do you agree with f Scott Fitzgerald. No, but it was I didn't have it until it finally popped. It came like a spark. Oh, Nicholas Spark, Thank you. I said it, Nicholas s Burk. Can I change my answer now?

The correct answer is Nicholas Sparks for number oh day. And I've got it wrong because I said spark. You you got it? You said, Sada man, you said spark. All right, how about we do this? No, she got it, Sine you get two points. You were the right there. You know it. Sparks Nicholas Sparks plural. But I'll give it to you. Question number seven. Back in eighteen oh four, French

Well the ps y he goes by Cy for I never even knew that I knew it because I was going to put it in a sketch that was a terrible sketch that we never tried. But when it's when you google it to get it and put it on a mix for Pitch Night, you know you go, oh, cy, that's the guy's question Number nine.

Gene Rayburn begins hosting a long running game show on NBC. Annie, what did you get what games was right? I was like, is it card Sharks? Is it pressure luck? But I went with pressure luck. But I don't think that's right. Press your luck. Mitch, what did you play? Nine? Match Jay? The match game fill in the blank with Gene Rayburn with his skinny microphone and match game. It is the match game for question number nine. I thought we were just talking about it.

Yeah, crazy, I wrote this game a week ago. Oh my god, this is insane. We have a final score. Can we die? Mitch silp with twenty eight very big points and Annie Surtitch with twenty eight and a half. One of the biggest comebacks. And you should know better history, Ani Surtich by a half point. You are the smartest person in the world. For one week. I needed this. I just needed this. Got it, honey, you got those sparks again. We are playing with

Two of the funniest people in the world. It was such a still friends. I was still friends. Yeah, I think we are because we tied. Essentially, we tied. You got half a point, No, but it

was Mike was kind of nice on Nicholas barks It's fine. It was essentially a tie, and we salvaged your friendship, which is the biggest winner, is the friendship we all share. But the game is not over. It is time now for the final throwdown. The final throwdown. This is where our producer Annie comes back with a one off question. She will post it, I'll read it to the world a couple times, and then the three of us can kind of commiserate, kind of come up with our own answers.

We can come up with an answer together and then no matter what, Annie will reveal the answer and some fun facts, so I'll learn a little something something before all is through. So Annie the producer, if you are ready with the final throwdown question, throw it up there. Here it is. I will read it to everyone in what country did an early version of rock paper scissors start? In? What country did an early version of rock paper scissors start? We have a couple hundred possibilities, right, are we

supposed to discuss this? Right? Yeah? We get his talk freely, so anyone can start us up for scissors. I have no guess. My first thing is just England, but I don't know if that's true. I'm trying to remember, like yeah, when you hear like you know how uh tic tac toe is called something different in England or shit ladders is called something

different in another country. It's like because I wonder if it was called rock paper scissors, because then what I'm thinking, did they when were scissors invented? Yeah? That was it probably was called something else. Yeah, it was called boulder, papyrus and plow when it first starts. That's what I'm thinking too, But I just like what country? It's like, God,

I have no fucking clue. Annie, do you have any clue? No, I mean, I'm just like, my brain goes very dark into like where were there no games Germany during a terrible time when they that's just sort of I mean, whether it's true or not, but improv games were started when in concentration camps, when the kids had nothing, So started in concentration Well it was violis folan, I'm cold be wrong about it, but it was like where when children had nothing? But that's where I'm like, I

don't know. That's a good guest though, Germany, do you want to go with that? I'll go with it. I mean it's dark and terrible, but I'll stick with it. Yeah, Mitch, do you have another country you can throw in there? Okay, if you're going with Germany, I will go with Italy. Germany, Italy. We're going with the World War two theme here, Yeah, that's us, the axis powers. Yeah, i will go someplace completely different, just for shits and giggles. I'll

say India. I'll say India for no reason, India. We have Germany and we have Italy. So Annie, without further ado, throw the answer up there and we're all going to learn some little something something about rock paper scissors. Here we go, Oh, here we go. It was China. Let's learn a little bit about these fun facts. It was China. The game originally in the Han dynasty around two hundred wow. It was originally called and my apologies for butchering this, but shoe shilling or shoe shyling.

You had to choose between a snake, a slug or a frog. So snake slug frog is what it was kind of deemed. Earlier on the game moved to Japan, where you had to decide between a fox gun or hunter called John ken Pan John ken Pan, and then the game is also referred to as Ro Shambo in America, after Count Ro Shambo, who allegedly played the game during the Revolutionary War. All these smokes, I can't believe it's

been around since two hundred BC. We all learned a little something. And just during qualified there were I just did google theater in the Nazi concentration camps, and there was. There are so many contradictions, but it does say that they, yeah, they prevailed in particular camps. So yeah, sorry, now here comes by cat, yeah, stray cat alliance. Right, So it's not completely like was it? No, that was that was your

brain was working. That was fantastic. Well, you two, I can't thank you enough for coming on the show and giving us one of the most memorable games we've had in a very long time, and wishing you to do very the very best in a happy new year.
