The biggest secret in the entertainment industry that really wasn't a secret at all has finally been revealed to the world. At the height of this career, Sean Diddy-Kombs had it all. It seemed like everything Diddy-Touch turned to gold.
Now the once untouchable hip-hop mogul is fighting for his life as he faces multiple federal charges in New York, including sex trafficking and allegedly running a criminal enterprise. Music mogul and rapper Sean Diddy-Kombs has faced four different lawsuits in recent weeks alleging sexual abuse can be seen grabbing back to her up and throwing to the ground. Oh, this guy in danger is now called for alleging columns of sexual abuse. He claims she was drugged and sexually assaulted by homes.
I'm DailyMail.com journalist Marjorie Hernandez. And over the last six months, I've been investigating this incredible story and speaking to the people in the eye of the storm. Welcome to the trial of Diddy. On Tuesday, September 17th, Sean Diddy-Kombs appeared in a Manhattan federal court. The 54-year-old bad boy mogul had a decades-long history of dodging major criminal allegations. Now he has to face the music regarding serious felony charges.
In a 14-page indictment, prosecutors said Combs uses music empire to transport women and male prostitutes across states and forced them to perform demeaning sexual acts while he masturbated and recorded the so-called freak-off parties. Prosecutors said they found 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lube during the raid at the rapper's home.
Manhattan, U.S. Attorney Damien Williams outlined the allegations during a press conference shortly before Combs appeared in court for the first time on the charges. The indictment alleges that Combs abuse and exploited women and other people for years and in a variety of ways.
As alleged, Combs use force, threats of force, and coercion to cause victims to engage in extended sexual performances with male commercial sex workers, some of whom he transported or caused to be transported over state lines. Combs allegedly planned and controlled the sex performances, which he called freak-offs, and he often electronically recorded them.
The freak-offs sometimes lasted days at a time, involved multiple commercial sex workers, and often involved a variety of narcotics such as ketamine, ecstasy, and GHB, which Combs distributed to the victims to keep them obedient and compliant. As alleged, when Combs didn't get his way, he was violent, and he subjected victims of physical, emotional, and verbal abuse so that they would participate in the freak-offs.
Combs who looked shell-shocked as he faced a federal judge pleaded not guilty, but was denied bailed despite his offer of a $50 million bond secured on his Miami mansion and his mother's home. One of his attorneys, Mark Agnafiliyo, said all of his sexual encounters were consensual. The defense attorney acknowledged Combs had a history of drug abuse and toxic relationships, but added his client was getting treatment and therapy.
Mr. Cons is a fighter. He's going to fight this to the end. There's no coercion. There's no crime. There's basically just that, you know, someone who brought a subtle case, and now is finding themselves with the witness in a criminal hands. Agnafiliyo there, talking about Cassie Ventura, who was the unnamed victim in the federal indictment. Although her name was not mentioned by prosecutors, the complaint references the CNN video of Combs assaulting Cassie at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.
William said Combs bribed a hotel employee with a stack of cash to keep quiet. Cassie settled her lawsuit with Combs a day after she filed the case in November 2023. But the details in her lawsuit in the shocking video that was leaked a few weeks later opened the floodgates for more lawsuits, including one filed by former Didi Protoje, Don Rashard. Attorney Lisa Bloom, known for representing sexual assault victims against celebrity defendants like Bill Cosby, is also representing Rashard.
In the lawsuit, Bloom wrote Rashard would be forced to record for days, sometimes little to no food or bathroom breaks. The rigorous rehearsal and performance schedule were so grueling that Rashard lost weight rapidly and began to develop health issues because of the stress of trying to fulfill Combs demands. Rashard said for all of her hard work, Didi built her out of at least $1.8 million in unpaid wages for working over 100 dates as a member of Danyt King.
But the disturbing allegations go even further. Rashard said Didi would touch her inappropriately and smack her butt during fittings for shows. He also walked around his underwear and refused to put on clothes during meetings at his Miami Mansion. After the November 2009 Soul Train Awards, Rashard claimed she also witnessed one of Didi's infamous freak-off parties. She said Combs arranged dozens of young women and others who look like minors to be transported to the party in Atlanta.
In the lawsuit Rashard said, The women arrived wearing little to no clothing and were given drugs and alcohol. Many of them appeared lethargic or passed out while Mr. Combs and his guests performed sexual acts on them. The singer also claimed while she was working with Combs in 2004 to 2011, she witnessed several incidents when the producer became violent with his then girlfriend, Cass Yventura.
She wrote, His persistent abuse included choking and strangling Miss Ventura, striking her with his hands and with objects, slapping her, punching her, and throwing items at her, including a scalding hot pan. On many occasions Mr. Rashard tried to intervene, offering Miss Ventura support and encouragement to Lee and Mr. Combs.
Each time Mr. Combs learned of her efforts to help Miss Ventura, he became enraged, threatening Miss Rashard's life with statements such as, You Want to Die Today? And I End People. While Attorney Lisa Bloom said she could not discuss details of Rashard's allegations, she spoke to DailyMail.com about the culture of secrecy that exists in the entertainment industry. Here's what Lisa Bloom said to me.
Having litigated sexual harassment in assault cases for decades in all kinds of industries, my opinion is that the music industry is the worst for women. Why is that so? Because there are a lot of enablers. There's always going to be bad people in every industry, but other industries will often fire people when they're credibly accused of sexual harassment or assault or other bad treatment of people.
The music industry has really turned a blind eye to it. What we've seen in the last few years is, I think, a recognition that we don't only want accountability from high-profile predators like Arkelli or Jeffrey Epstein. We want accountability from their enablers too, people who are complicit, people who knew, profited financially off of these guys, and turned a blind eye when they should have done something.
I represented 11 victims of Jeffrey Epstein, for example, and we were able to get them significant compensation not only against his estate, but against a bank that knew and was continuing to fund him while he was assaulting women. In this case, we have named not only Sean Combs, but a large number of other defendants who we contend have some accountability here, and we intend to bring them to justice.
Two days after he was arrested, Combs appeared before US District Judge Andrew Elg Carter Jr. His attorneys made an impassioned plea to release a disgraced music mogul, but prosecutors argued Combs was a serious flight risk. They also said Combs has already harassing victims and witnesses and feeding them false narratives. He was denied bail and placed on suicide watch his first two weeks in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center, standard for high-profile individuals.
As Combs waits for his day in court, more alleged victims have come forward. On October 1, 2024, Houston, Texas attorney Tony Busby made a bombshell announcement that he will represent 120 victims in the lawsuit against it. In the last two weeks, he added 25 of the alleged 120 victims are minors. They are against 9 years old. Another instance of this individual who was 9 years old at the time was taken to an audition in New York City with Bad Boy Records.
Other boys were there to audition as well. All of them were trying to land a record deal. All of them were minors. This individual was sexually abused allegedly by Sean Combs and several other people at the studio in the promise to both his parents and to him himself of getting a record deal. I want to give you a quote from a very young man who told us over the phone about his experience and all the things that happened to him.
He says allegedly at the hands of Sean Diddy Combs and his friends in the effort to try to sign a record deal. This was kind of what he was told he would have to do. His quote is, had he not been in power, I feel like I could have been something great. I quit the industry because of what Sean Combs did to me.
Combs and his attorneys denied Busby's allegations. In a statement to DailyMail.com, Diddy's attorney Erica Wolf said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claims that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. Sources told DailyMail.com that since Diddy's arrest, at least five executives have left record labels amid potential backlash from Combs ongoing legal situation.
This is former LAPD detective Greg Cating on why he believes alleged victims have revived decades old sexual assault claims against Diddy after Cass even tore up what public with her claims. So one of the things that contributed to this was New York, a year and a half, about a year and a half ago, had done a kind of like a moratorium on the statute of limitations for domestic violence and domestic abuse.
And it allowed people who otherwise would have been out of statute to come forward and make criminal claims to have something looked at that previously would not have been considered just because of the statute of limitations had expired. So they opened up this one year window for people to be able to come in and say, hey, even though the statutes out of date, this happened to me five years ago.
And once that first person stepped through the door and made her allegations against Puffy, it empowered all of these other people to start coming forward. And that's often what we see and especially in criminal investigations is that people are reluctant to be the first one to go through a door. But when the doors already been opened by someone else, it's much more comfortable or they're much more willing to go through an open door than they are closed one.
And so now it's created this kind of like snowball effect. We spoke to legal analysts and federal defense attorney, Lucia Piro. Shapiro set alleged victims who filed civil cases against combs could be called to testify despite settling with the disgraced mogul. That means ex-girlfriend Cassie could be a star witness. And in D.A., you're agreeing to say if I am subpoenaed in a civil matter, then I will not testify again.
If the attorney's office or the U.S. attorney's office uses this person, then that overrides in D.A. So they do still have to testify essentially because if they're subpoenaed. They say I promise that I won't come out against you in another case. But that doesn't prevent the government from doing what they're going to do. And if the government force something, I have no choice.
Again, you said even though say Cassie had signed that N.D.A., she still could be called as a witness because if she's subpoenaed, right? Because the N.D.A. is a contract where she's saying I won't come forward on my own volition, but she can't prevent the government from forcing her to come forward. In terms of her as a witness, I mean how I guess that's a mental could that be for Diddy and how strong would it be for the prosecution?
It's a very disturbing video. When you watch it, you can't believe that somebody would do that to another human being. You know, the old story, you don't hit someone when they're down. She's down already on the ground. And it seems like he's not showing any remorse or any compassion for another human being. It's really difficult to watch. And if it's difficult for me as a lawyer, where I see a lot of these videos in my profession sadly, I can't imagine what jurors would think of such a video.
Shocking to the core. When Aswai took years for victims like Cassie and others to come forward, Bloom says the trauma they have experienced has no timeline. You know, for every woman, she has to wait until it's the right time for her to come forward. I think one thing we've learned from the Me Too movement is when women are victims of sexual harassment, sexual assault, whatever it is, they're never going to come forward right away.
Some people take secrets like this to their grave. Other people wait 50 years, 25 years. So it takes time to understand what happened psychologically. Some of this stuff is so shocking. It's hard for the human mind to process. Women, we typically blame ourselves. Oh, if only I had done this, done that, if I hadn't gone to this thing. And that's of course ridiculous. And it just takes time. But for Dawn, seeing Cassie's case filed and reading her complaint was very inspirational to her.
She knew Cassie, she knew her for years. And that was, I think, the beginning of her really understanding what had gone on, not only to Cassie, but to Dawn herself. As more alleged victims come forward since Holmes arrest, those who escaped his wrath are still haunted by the trauma. One of those victims spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com, but wanted to remain anonymous because they are still in fear for their life.
The unnamed victim said, being in the presence of Sean Holmes was like, being around Jekyll and Hyde. During one of Dead East parties, the source alleged they saw a young girl who looked to be in her teens at one of the rapper's mansions. To maintain their anonymity, their words are spoken by a producer, Lucy. At first I thought she was one of his son Justin's friends because she looked so young. But no, she came out of his room.
The morning after his infamous freak off parties comes with often higher masseuses and have vitamin IV drips ready because many of the party goers could barely move or were completely passed out. There were some women in the pool, sometimes completely naked. I thought, oh, maybe they party too much, but no. There were times when the girl wouldn't wake up at all. And they would just leave her there, lounging by the pool.
One of the people who was always there to clean up after Diddy was Christina Korum, comes chief of staff, the source said. Christina would always say, oh, she's okay. She's just drunken, hung over. That's what she would say any time ago wouldn't move. In his lawsuit against Diddy, producer Rodney Little Rod Jones corroborated the allegations that Korum allegedly enabled and covered up after her boss's dirty deeds.
In his lawsuit, Jones claimed Korum would tell her staff to retrieve drugs that Diddy demanded. Our source said it was known that a member of Comsis staff would be in charge of his medicine bag, which was always full of drugs. There was one time when he came down from his room and I was shocked because he looked animalistic. I didn't even recognize him. His veins were popping and his body was contorting in a way that was frightening. It just scared me.
The source said they were subjected to Comsis constant threats. Just like Don ReShard, the source said they felt like they had no choice but to do as they were told. Whatever he wanted, he got. On the day Comsis arrested, many alleged victims said after years of waiting, they finally felt their claims were validated. I knew my life was always in danger, but now there is some relief. He had so much money in control. It made you feel powerless.
If I ever have a chance to see him, I would just want an apology. But he won't do that because he doesn't even know the word sorry. Comsis arrest has also placed a spotlight on a number of Hollywood stars. Many of those who once clamored to get an invite to a Diddy party are now desperately trying to distance themselves from him and is depraved back in alien gatherings.
Attorney Tony Busby says Comsis' list of alleged enablers and co-conspirators will send shockwaves through the entertainment industry. The biggest secret in the entertainment industry that really wasn't a secret at all has finally been revealed to the world. The wall of silence has now been broken and victims are coming forward.
