Episode description

Amy Sugeno, LCSW, got her start as a wildlife biologist, studying a variety of species, mostly birds and bats. Over those 16 years, she consistently noticed how healing and restorative nature and the outdoors can be for people.
Now a therapist, Amy integrates ecotherapy, or nature-based therapies, into the healing process of her clients. She has worked at nonprofit agencies for the past 10 years with adults and older teens affected by domestic violence and sexual abuse. More recently, Amy has opened a small private practice in Marble Falls, Texas, where she provides ecotherapy to individuals and small groups, and particularly enjoys working with issues around adoption and attachment trauma.
