Episode description

In this episode, Jeremy and Katherine investigate Birth Trauma. We ask what is Birth Trauma? Why is it so unheard of? Can it be experienced vicariously by the partner who is not pregnant? and why is it so common?

We speak to a panel of parents with lived experience of Birth Trauma and visit Kim Thomas, a journalist, author and CEO of the Birth Trauma Association.

Content warning: contains references to various mental health issues, PTSD and complications in birth. Affected by issues in the episode and need to talk? Contact the Samaritans in the UK and Ireland: call 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org (24 hr reply)
