Episode description

On todays episode the transp narrative co hosts meet with Sabrina Lindaman as we explored finding identity within community, work life balance, and finding names. Sabrina Lindaman is a 43 year old trans woman, who just began transitioning 8 months. She has known was transgender since nearly 4 years old, but never had a name for it. Growing up in rural Iowa and moved to southern Missouri around the age of 8, she hid who she was as she was constantly bullied through school, and never saw any good representation of the LGBT community anywhere. “When the internet became a thing I began presenting as female online.” “Around the early 2000s, college happened, relationships happened, and by 2011 she was in the darkest place in my life and she had to do something. Sabrina’s life began to change when she began therapy, found a community support group, and began hrt. “I found Embrace, the support group Torin, Athena and I are a part of. I found them on TDOV of 2021, and everything changed.”Her original plan was to go full time around May this year, but she realized everyone in my life was already calling her Sabrina, and without any big fanfare she was full time. “And here I am, living in a society trying to erase me, happier and living a better version of myself than I have ever been.”Links to guest social media ⸻
