¶ Intro / Opening
Now, kids, welcome to another episode of Escape with the Cave.
¶ Introduction to Escape with the Cave
It is the Tonzilla X-Pod. Hi, I'm Todd. And full stop. I didn't say it this time, see? Couldn't come up with anything better, so I decided not to say anything. If you can't say anything that's not a cliche or a crutch, kids, don't say anything at all. It's the first thing they used to teach you in radio. I don't think they teach that anymore. They don't teach anything. There's nobody in radio. There's like six people. They all do the same thing.
You get going. And you go on the air. You're a young guy. You don't really know what you're doing. And you start saying the same things. Everybody's got a crunch. Everybody's got a cliche. Everybody's got something that they do or say repeatedly, subconsciously, automatically, right? Well, they try to get that out of you. They try to extract you or extract that from you. Free you from that habit. And then you're aware of it for the next 25 years.
I got them all the time. I go back and listen to these podcasts, I can hear them. And I probably shouldn't point that out because now you're going to hear them too. We're sharing, right? Alright, it's episode number 157, 157, creep it up on 160. Record date is early morning hours of February the 27th, 2025. It is an early Thursday morning back on this vampire schedule again. I did one in the afternoon. It went well, I thought. Here we are again.
¶ Detroit Pistons Winning Streak
Hmm, Detroit Pistons. We'll start there. It's like SportsCenter with Todd Zillow. Did you know that they have won seven straight games before last night? I didn't. I had no idea. I don't pay attention to the NBA. Anyway, I'm flipping through my channel. Stop on FanDuel Detroit. Pistons are playing the Celtics now. I like the Celtics, traditionally. Good team. Historical team. They beat the frickin' Celtics last night. The defending NBA champions.
I know enough about basketball to realize they're the defending champs. They beat them last night It's 8 straight wins For the Detroit fucking Pistons, That's the first time That that team has won 8 straight games Since 2008 17 years. When did they get good? They were terrible. Didn't they set a record for consecutive losses a year or two ago? What's going on up there? And who is this Malik Beasley guy? My God. He looked like a little Vinnie Johnson last night.
I'm dating myself. That was the microwave. I loved the Pistons back in the early 90s. I was a big fan of the bad boys. I liked the team that won the NBA championship in the mid-aughts. Rip Hamilton, Chauncey Billups, Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace, love that team. I just, one thing I don't like about the NBA, and I don't think I'm alone when I say this, this three-point shit, just lining up at the arc and shooting the three over, and it's boring as hell.
So many three-pointers. I hate it. I want to see these guys drive to the hoop. I want to see some athleticism. I don't care if you're a sniper. I want to see you storm the beach. You know what I mean? Anyway, Pistons are good. So I don't know if I'm going to. I said earlier tonight, I was like, yeah, maybe I'll watch another game because that's the first Pistons game I've watched in at least a year. Probably a lot longer than that.
And I'm like, well, maybe they look. That was a fun team to watch last night. Malik, yeah, Malik Beasley. Enjoyed watching him. Kate Cunningham, you know, who he is. We'll see. Soon as baseball season starts, Tigers were running again yesterday. As soon as that starts, I won't watch them. Let's say, you know, go on a run to the NBA Finals. But I care so little about basketball, I'm not 100% sure I'd even watch the Pistons in the Finals.
¶ Social Media Shenanigans
Well, you're going to like this as I move away from sports to the pleasures of social media. This happened yesterday. I posted this thing in some group, doesn't matter which one. And it's a picture of a fist, like the Black Power fist, except it's been co-opted by the pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas folks. And it's like a multicolored, I think it's the Palestinian flag, fist of resistance, that thing. Well, somebody up in Canada took that thing. And drew a dick in it.
So it looks like the fist is holding a dick. And they were running around Canada defacing this graffiti. How do you deface graffiti? You might ask. Well, that's how you do it. You put a dick in a fist. I love it. So I found the picture and downloaded it to my computer. And now I spread it around. I like to share things that I enjoy with people I like. Let's put it that way. Well, I did that yesterday in some group. And apparently somebody reported it, right? As their want to do.
And got a notification immediately after, I threw that thing out there, probably five minutes, 10 minutes, whatever, that the picture had been taken down because it was pornographic. It depicted someone's, this is key, someone's genitalia or possibly a sex act. It was an automated thing. I'm like, what the hell? There's nothing, I read the terms. It didn't show anyone's penis.
It was a cartoon It was a hand-drawn penis That penis did not belong To another human being And it sure as hell Didn't show a sex act How do you show a sex act In a drawing, right? Ah, didn't Well, I guess you could But that one didn't Was a someone's penis. And it wasn't, you know, doing the deed. It was just being held by a resistance fist. I appealed it. I read your stupid terms. Nothing wrong with this. You can do about it. They got right back to me.
It took 10 minutes and they said, nope, it's cool. We made a mistake here. We would like to put your fist and penis back on your page. Like hey that worked out sweet so i took the little uh notification they gave me got a screen grab of it went over to my page and put it up hey it works remember kids remember to appeal right then facebook flagged that their own message that they were reinstating the picture included the picture.
And so they flagged their own message to me saying that the picture was okay. I got all sorts of notifications saying that my page, I couldn't do this, I couldn't do that. I was like on double secret Facebook probation, whatever the fuck. Just get the hell out of the moderation business. You don't know what the hell you're doing. It's not even comical. It's ridiculous. Your own message to me, saying the picture was okay, gets flagged and gets yanked.
So I went through the process, the whole rigmarole again, pretty much the exact same thing. Because you can't really, it doesn't give you the option to explain why you think, in your own words, why you think that your image is not against community standards. That took another 10 minutes and they released my profile. Now I've got a strike on my personal page. It's been there, I don't know, a year. I called somebody a retard. I think, no, I didn't call him, did I call him a retard or did I ask?
I don't remember, it had the word tarted, like the little apostrophe and then tarted. So really, I didn't call him re-tarted, as in they've been tarted more than once. I implied that they were possibly in their original state of tardation. Not retarded, just tarted. And I'm like, well, hey, this is supposed to be a new era. I know over on the Twitter, you can say retarded. Gad Sads made a big deal out of reviving the word retarded.
It has nothing to do, when you call somebody a retard, 99.9% of the time, it doesn't have anything to do with mental impairment. You're just an idiot. Kind of like the F-A-G word, right? Doesn't have anything to do with being gay. If you call somebody a fag, it never had anything to do with being gay. Sort of an interpretive word. Always was. Well, that one hasn't been freed yet. Over on Twitter, retard has. So I'm thinking, all right, the Zuck made a big statement.
You know, we're going to let people express themselves. Well, let's see. Has the word retard or tard been liberated by the Zuckerbeast? So I appealed that. It was a joke. That was what I said. Ten minutes go by, I can officially report, I've done investigative work here. The word retard has not been liberated by the Zuckerbeast. They turned my appeal down and left that strike on my personal page. Retard. Let's get retarded now.
Well, that was tonight. That was a lot of fun. Anyway, I think this big story of the week so far, probably in most circles, there were a couple of them. First of all, it appears that I was right about Trump and his negotiation tactic as far as Ukraine goes, threatening to abandon Ukraine completely. Let the Russians have it. Well, it turned out that he has made a deal, apparently has made a deal. I'm not 100% sure it's official yet. I don't think it is. Probably not.
But he made a deal with Zelensky. And he's going to get his hands on a great deal of Ukraine's mineral wealth in order to recoup some of the money that the United States has given Ukraine over the last few years. I haven't quite gotten a handle on how everything's going to work. There was talk about maybe a peacekeeping force, a force, a joint American-European peacekeeping force, maybe being put in Ukraine to keep Russia at bay.
Don't know. And I don't think that this has been made 100 percent official as of yet. But that apparently is coming. I don't know what it means as far as the territory that Russia has seized because a lot of those precious minerals are in that territory. I don't know how this is good, but apparently we're not just abandoning Ukraine. Eureka, right? Surprise. The batshit resistance media. More on them here in just a second, by the way.
Everything that he does, they fail to take into account that maybe there's more to it. Maybe this is a multi-stage strategy. They did it with the tariffs. They did it with Ukraine. They did it with the cartels in Mexico.
And now they look like idiots Oh, he's Neville Chamberlain He's gonna, you know, surrender To Putin He's gonna give him everything Everything he wanted Well, maybe not, The war should be ending That's what everybody wants That's what he said he was gonna do He said he was gonna end that war As soon as he's gotten off As he's only been there a month And it might be coming to an end Yay You should be happy about that When did Democrats become the pro-war party, by the way?
They were always the ones who were against to end war. Well, he ends the war, and now they can't stomach that either. They can't stomach anything, any successes that the man has. So just to spite Trump, you're going to become all of a sudden pro-war? No, we have to keep it going. We have to fight. We have to push Putin back into... Yeah, okay. Should be happy about this. It's a good development. Don't you think? It'd be nice to be getting something back for that investment, too.
Did Biden ever get anything back for it? No, it was just a grant. Here's a gift. Billions and billions, hundreds of billions of dollars. Yeah, don't worry about it. We got plenty of money. It's not like we're in debt or anything here. Nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with ending that war.
¶ Joy Reid’s Departure
And the other story this week, I can't believe I didn't mention this in the podcast the other day. Joy Reid, is she gone? Schadenfreude, is that the German word for taking pleasure in someone else's pain? Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude, I don't remember exactly how to pronounce it, but I have to confess, I am basking in whatever that word is right now. Still, it's Thursday. She was fired on Monday. I am not over this glow. I am happy. The biggest race baiter on television.
Fired by MSNBC for poor ratings. Lots of reasons, a lot of things going on at MSNBC before they spin that property off, before NBCUniversal spins it off into something else. They're trying to, you know, get the budget under control. Whatever, cost cutting. A lot of people. Alex Wagner was canned this week as well. And Joy goes on the air, takes to the Internet. She gets her phone out and she, God, what is it with liberals? Why do you always have to get your phone out and cry like a little bitch?
Showing how fragile you are. When did human frailty and fragility become, supposedly become a virtue? Something to share with the goddamn world. I don't get it. She's bawling on her phone, on her, I don't know if it was an Instagram, whatever, who cares, right? Oh, my show had worth. If your show had worth, if it still had worth, actual worth, any value to the company, to the corporation, to your employer, they wouldn't have fired you.
MSNBC's numbers have tanked since the election. They've rebounded a little bit since Trump came back, but they're nothing. CNN, MSNBC, all of them are having their asses handed to them by Fox. It's the same old stuff. I know I've talked about this, and I know I keep going on about it. I know I keep bringing it up. This is a big deal. The media landscape, there is a seismic shift happening.
This is historic. How people are moving away from traditional liberal media to other sources because they do not trust them at all At all Fox News is the exception They're doing incredibly well. Why is that? Why do you suppose that is? I think it's because Fox News, and I watched a lot more of Fox in the last year than I had probably in the day, 20 years before that. Fox is who they are. They're kind of like Trump.
They are who they are. They are pro-American, anti-socialist, which by default makes them anti-Democrat. And they are upfront about it. Whereas the JAG officers at CNN and MSNBC would like you to believe they keep trying to tell you that they are the truth ministry, that they are objective, that they're doing real journalism. When all you have to do is watch it for 10 minutes and you can you understand who and what they are. They are the photo negative of Fox News.
They are anti-American. They are anti-conservative. if they are the mouthpiece of an increasingly radicalized faction of the left. A perfect example. Joy Reid's fine. She's Joy Reid. Great. We can bash on her. We should. We should take a little joy in that. But Deadeye Jake Tapper wrote a book about the cover. This is one of the most rich things that I have ever heard of. Jake Tapper, look at his eyes, they're dead, wrote a book on the cover-up of Joe Biden's mental acuity decline.
¶ Jake Tapper’s Book Controversy
Early part of Joe Biden's term all the way up until about a year ago, I would watch them on the regular because I wanted to, I complained about them a lot, but I wanted to see what was going on. And Jake Tapper was one of the worst apologists for the Democrats and for Joe Biden. He participated in the cover-up. It's naked. It's obvious if you've watched anything he's done and you still have access to any of your faculties.
You'll be able to see that. So he's trying to go back and sort of do this revisionist history of CNN and how, yeah, it was the administration, it was the people in his cabinet, it was everybody else. It wasn't us, though. We were fooled. They lied to us, too. We thought anybody with a functioning brain cell could see as soon as 2021, maybe 2022, whenever, anybody could see it.
Could see Joe Biden's decline just based on his public appearances, the crafted, scripted, controlled public appearances that he made. You could see it with your own eyes. And to go on national television while, it's the most trusted name in news, carrying the dementia-ridden president's water. Anytime anyone would mention. Biden's decline on that network, they've been playing a clip with Laura Trump,
where she went on his program and was talking about Biden and the mental decline. And he was apoplectic. Calling and saying, oh, I can't believe you're picking on an elderly man stutter. He stutters. All it's doing is stuttering and you want to call him mentally impaired. Senile. The clip's all over the place. It's like he believes the internet doesn't exist. He wrote a book on this. You've got to be shitting me. who does he, how stupid does he think people are?
Here's another question. How stupid are people? How many people are going to actually buy that book, read it, take it at face value. And defend the guy? I've been trying to figure out the points, like the events, the things that I saw that pushed me so hard away from the Democrats. I talked about the lab leak stuff and people being censored for even mentioning it on social media. This is another one. This is a big one because you go back, you listen to anything I did between 2020 and 2023.
And you're going to find multiple instances of me screaming, metaphorically speaking, sometimes literally. You just need your eyes You just need to watch the man Function or try to function And you can see, That he's not there I kept asking If he's that diminished Who the fuck is running the country I still ask that question, And here's another question for you Jake, since you're writing about the cover up Did you bother to ask that very question?
If there was a cover-up, if he really was in mental decline, who was running the country for two and a half, three, or four years? Who? Who was in charge? Again, I never hear anybody asking that question. I hear it every now and then on Fox, but they don't they don't bother to really pursue that. That is a huge scandal.
If he was impaired Dementia ridden to the point Where he could not effectively run the country Where he should have been removed from office If he was in such a state That somebody else had to run things for him He should have been removed But he wasn't Thus the cover-up, Who was in charge? Who made the decision to cover things up? Was it Jill? Was it Jill? Who knows? This should be a huge fucking scandal. That's a coup. It is. It's a soft coup, okay? You had the puppet.
You still trotted him out there, hoped he didn't fall, hoped he didn't gaff too hard. But he was a puppet. Who was the puppet master? I don't know why these questions aren't being asked, and I'll guarantee you. I'll guarantee you, Dead Eye Jake ain't asking it in that book. All he wants to do is rewrite history. Protect himself. I'm asking questions now. See, you can't blame me for that. Screw you, Jake. We have the tape.
Now, this really is a historic point in time. This entire era is going to be studied. 100, 200 years from now, they'll still be talking about this period in time that we share right now. It's monumental. It's up there with the printing press, the industrial revolution, the enlightenment, whether it's good or bad. You know, we'll see. But this era is incredible. The changes that are happening with information in particular, how we share information, where we get it, how we define the truth,
who we trust. I haven't talked enough about trust on this show. I've talked a little bit about it, I guess, last time in the context of who you're going to believe, right? But the loss of trust in the institutions, the judicial institution, the office of presidents on both sides, depending on what side you're on, if the other guy's in office, you don't trust them. You don't trust the institution, the governmental institution. You don't trust the courts.
When you've got political parties out shopping for judges, because they know that they'll get a favorable ruling from certain judge.
¶ Trust in Media Eroding
You don't have a justice system. I'm not going to sit here and try to figure out what kind of system you have, but that's not justice. That's not the blind lady with the scales, that bitch got eyes. Lying from a movie.
And the media stuff is, it's hugely important. It really is, because they are the ones that this culture, this country, the entire globe, everybody in the world, to some extent, has been conditioned and is used to looking to the media, looking to the authoritative media, the authorities, running these platforms and outlets to learn what's going on in the world. And you can't trust it anymore. You cannot trust them anymore.
What's next? Where does that go? some of the fallout from the joy reed thing sweet keith olberman oh keith olberman i talked about him a long time ago he used to be one of my favorite guys i was a liberal back then so that explains a lot but when he had countdown on msnbc i liked him this guy is in his brain is fried he is the symbol figure i think for trump derangement syndrome he's just gone, Late-stage syphilis brain.
Well, Rachel Madcow, she went on her own show that night, pretty much said the same thing. She took to the airwaves. In a prime-time slot, $30 million a year this woman is making, and she's only been doing, up until now, one show a week. $30 million. And this woman decides, in this atmosphere, in this climate, in this liberal media bloodbath climate, that it's okay. You know what? I'm going to go on my show and criticize my employers.
Like, this is bad. This is racist. I learned so much from her. Oh, wow. I don't agree with it. Look, I've been fired from radio jobs. Very rarely do they let you do the last show. I never got a chance to sign off and say, hey, I really enjoyed being here with you all these last months, years, whatever. I was fired and shown the door immediately, every time.
And that's usually how it goes. unless you've been a good company man for a long time and they explicitly trust you enough to give you like a two-week notice, whatever. That's exactly why. Because they don't want the talent going on their own airwaves, criticizing the company, criticizing the organization, putting themselves ahead of the brand, letting their ego get in the way. That's exactly what she did. I was pretty astonished, actually, but who else do they have?
If Rachel Maddow, those ass go away, name somebody else over there that's not the douchebag in the morning. Joe Scarborough. Name somebody else. Quick, quick, quick. Lawrence O'Donnell. Lawrence O'Donnell. Chris Hayes. Yeah, she's good. But she's the only really identifiable talent left on that network. Now, maybe that's why she felt like she could do that. I don't know, but... I don't know. Good luck. Getting another gig after that. They fire you, somebody might hire you.
But coming out and biting the hand that feeds you, it doesn't bode well for finding more employment later on. Ask Olbermann about it What's he doing? He had a show on the GQ network, Okay, Anyway The next flurry of news As far as the liberal media bloodbath goes Was that Rachel's staff Her assistants Almost all of them Canned, This was after she decided to come out And criticize her employers I can't help but wonder, Maybe A warning shot over her bow Could be.
But this is Blows my mind Everything that's happened with CNN Now MSNBC Fox News continues to do gangbusters.
¶ MSNBC’s Changing Landscape
And in case you're wondering whether or not MSNBC is deciding to re-evaluate their positions and sort of moderate, move toward the middle, maybe move toward doing objective news at night, one of the people moving into prime time is Ginger Goebbels. Jen Psaki. Taking her from midday, morning, whatever it is, to one of the prime time slots. Jen Psaki. Former press secretary for, was it Joe Biden? Yeah, I think so.
Another cracker coming to prime time on MSNBC, although this one is a soulless ginger, to be fair. Diversity, equity, and inclusion, I guess, is coming for the, starting to include the soulless. I give her credit. Jen Psaki's kind of hot, right? Now, I'm getting older. She looks pretty good, still. Maybe when she gets fired, there's an OnlyFans in her future. I'd watch it. Today, being retarded means leading a full life.
Retarded people go to work or school, just like their neighbors, and come back to a real home. A supervised home, right in the neighborhood, where they belong. Being retarded never stopped anyone from being a good neighbor. Oh, my God.
¶ Washington Post’s New Direction
The landscape changing news is not limited to MSNBC and CNN. Jeff Bezos, he owns the Washington Compost, as you probably know. Now, he said that the editorial focus of WAPO is going to be changing, and said that it's going to have a focus on personal liberty and free markets from now on. And they're going to leave the other stuff to be published elsewhere. Well, that got the liberals over at the Washington Post all up in a tizzy.
I do believe the editor of the opinion section decided to quit in protest. So to some degree, the compost gets cleaned up a little bit. Everybody there is up in arms. One guy decides to quit in protest. It's telling, don't you think? I mean, if you're working at the Washington Post and you're really interested in objective journalism, fact-based journalism, the ideological slant of the editorial section probably wouldn't matter to you.
I mean, if your currency is fact and objectivity, be in the free press, what does it matter what the opinion section does? If it does matter, they're not engaging in actual journalism, are they? They are engaging in advocacy. Journalism plus advocacy, literally, and I'm using the word literally in its proper sense, journalism plus agenda equals propaganda. That's exactly what propaganda is.
If you're taking an ideological stand, you're moving beyond fact, you're taking facts and spinning them, shading them in a certain direction to advocate one way or another. You're not a journalist. You are a propagandist. There is no better definition than that. I'm sure that these journalists, as I use air quotes Think that they're engaging in my favorite term, righteous activism, right?
We're activists You're not an activist You're an agitator A print agitator, I need to refine the stuff I had a few years ago About Vladimir Lenin and agitation How he used the newspapers a little over a hundred years ago to agitate the masses in support of their revolution. Activism and agitation are synonymous. You're agitating. And when you're posing as a journalist while you're doing that, well, here's something vile.
Speaking of agitation, Fox News had a report where they had done some sort of investigative work and found that some George Soros-backed organizations, far-left organizations, these groups, were backing, funding. The anti-Doge protests The anti-Musk protests These things aren't organic You're not seeing these liberals, Organically flooding into the streets They're not really a flood anyway They're paid They're getting a paycheck for doing this Of course they are.
The money is being funneled to them from somewhere These groups backed by George Soros I'd love to know if how much of this is coming from USAID, How much of this has come from USAID These groups also backed the defund the police movement The BLM marches You sensing something here? You sensing a pattern here? Paid agitators They get these people out of the streets They make it look like it's an organic uprising And that encourages other idiots to leave their gender studies class. Join the herd.
And once you have enough, then it sort of takes off. Well, I'll do it too if all these guys are doing it. I'll do it. I mean, it's not a stupid tactic. I'm not saying it's dumb. It works, obviously. But this tactic, this technique, this strategy has been perfected. This isn't new. This isn't something new under the sun. They know how to do this because it's been perfected over the course of about 100 years. Starting in Lenin's, Soviet Union, Russia, whatever.
How many of these things are foreign funded? We talked about a lot about Russian interference back in 2018. Yeah, 2018 with Trump. And I bought into the Russian social media influence stuff. And to be honest with you, I still do. I still do buy into that. There's no way you're going to tell me. I've got something else on this. I just reminded me. Had I thought of it before I put this together, I would have talked about it today.
But you cannot tell me that foreign governments don't have a social media propaganda program, an entire infrastructure in place online. You'd have to be an idiot not to. It's so easy to reach into another country electronically and agitate the population in your favor.
In a direction you'd like them to go. You'd have to be a moron not to do that You're telling me the US doesn't do that That's what USAID was doing They were taking that money to other countries To promote gender Trans issues All this other bullshit. You'd be an idiot not to do that via social media, electronically. Especially since over the last six, eight years, the social media companies have been on your side. They've been ideologically aligned with what you want to do.
Anti-American. They're not going to flag that. It's just free speech. So, no, I'm not ready to just dismiss the Russian interference stuff out of hand.
Again you got to be a fool not to think that that is that didn't happen then and that it's not still happening now and i know it's happening re china i'm gonna write this down because i'll get into that in the next episode it's creepy remember i told you a few years ago a few years hold on china sock med a few weeks back when tiktok was on the chopping block that all of a sudden just seemingly out of nowhere.
All of this pro-Chinese propaganda, these trolls, these paid trolls, these pages of private accounts, seemingly private accounts, popped up all over the place, Twitter and Facebook. I'm not on TikTok. They just suddenly appeared and there were a lot of them. China's awesome. Your government's lying to you about communism. I mean, it was all over the place for about three days. Well, guess what? I found it. I found what it is. I'll talk about it.
Do a little research on it, a little more research and get my facts straight. But it appears I was absolutely right about that. It was a coordinated campaign. It wasn't a coincidence. Now, going back to the Soros stuff, the funding of the far-left protests, probably the stuff that's happened on the campuses, the pro-Hamas stuff. You know damn well the money for that, at least some of it, is coming from these groups. Well, one of those groups is MoveOn.org. They're still around. Remember them?
Got a lot of new listeners. I've told this story a number of times on the show, but I'll tell it again real quick. In 2011, when Occupy started, we lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico. For a long time, my big issue was getting money out of politics, getting money out of the elections. Occupy, the initial idea of it anyway, greatly appealed to me. So I joined. I joined the Santa Fe thing. I went down. I hung out at the little encampment, never slept in the tents or anything.
But I did go, and I went to the meetings. That's the important thing. I went to these weird, weird meetings that they were having back in 2011. That's where I first saw the finger-clapping stuff going on that you see at the Democratic Socialist Convention.
I don't remember anybody calling each other comrade at that point, but that's where all of this stuff, the weird shit, like I get triggered by clapping, can we not use gendered language, all of that shit, that was the first place I saw it, was Occupy. It stood out like a sore thumb because it seemed to me that they were trying to reinvent society. Really, this was Occupy in Santa Fe, and it had nothing, almost nothing to do with getting money out of politics. MoveOn.org was a huge part of it.
They were everywhere. They had their banners. They had their signs. They were advertising. They were promoting MoveOn.org, and they were trying. They were succeeding, actually, in influencing this movement.
¶ Occupy Movement’s Co-optation
I remember one woman specifically. Now, this is supposed to be money out of politics, right? Occupy, big money, right? That was the whole goal when this fucking thing started. And it wasn't two weeks into it. Some woman was standing there talking to a bunch of people. She's like, so what is it we have to do to make sure we get Barack Obama and Democrats reelected? I'm like, oh, my God. That's when it dawned on me that the movement Occupy has been co-opted, in my mind, by moveon.org.
And now, with the benefit of 14 years, almost 14 years of hindsight, that was the beginning of whatever this woke shit is. I think. You go watch the Democratic Socialist Convention video, that famous video, calling each other comrade and they're clapping, talking about gendered language.
It seems ridiculous, right? But that shit's been around It's been around for a while It didn't just show up The first place I saw it Was Occupy About the time that moveon.org Showed up, I saw what that was I saw where that was going Quickly And like I washed my hands of it And I have never stopped railing on Occupy since then. I don't know where they are now. I don't know what they are. They probably merged into BLM and, you know, defund the police and all that other shit.
But what started, what probably started, as a decent idea, was quickly seized by groups like what we're seeing right here, MoveOn.org being one of them. I remember Barack Obama talking about, I'm a community organizer, you know, community organization. Well, that's what this shit is. That's what community organizing is to leftists. It's organized agitation.
A way to disrupt the system, a way to eradicate the system, slowly but surely eradicate the system so you can replace it with whatever it is. It's the scraping of the temple in order to build your own. Conservatives don't, they don't have a good defense system for this. It's in liberal DNA, radical DNA, to agitate.
It's not in the conservative DNA To fight back, Not effectively What I would love to see Personally If I could make Todd Topia, I would see Just as many conservatives Showing up in counter-protest, Just as much energy Defending Their country Standing up for their country As there is Put out to tear it down But tearing down is easy, right?
¶ Agitation and Counter-Protests
Especially when you've got Volumes and volumes of victim porn To feed to a victim-addicted culture. It's hard to get out in the streets and say, everything's great, right? Everything's good enough. I like how things are. It's really hard to do that. Hard to, you know, fuel the motivation. To get out in the streets and say, I stand up for something. Right? But that's what I would like to see. I mean, I've had ideas about that I probably shouldn't express here.
But I understand I don't agree with Let me preface it by saying that I don't agree with what happened But I understand the brown shirts Communists, That's what they do They get out in the streets And they stir shit up Agitation That was the response, 80, 90 years ago To communist agitators taken to the streets and raising hell in Germany. I would not be opposed. I got to say it. I'll just say it. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing some degree of that here.
When you've got people like Rashida Tlaib, her cohorts up there in Dearborn, these immigrants, these jihadists, these indifatists, thank God damn America, that the country needs to go, the system needs to be torn down. Yeah, I wouldn't cry. Let's put it that way. We're seeing some people protesting Ilhan Omar when she stands up for Hamas and Palestine, but doesn't have one single word, doesn't say one negative thing, doesn't condemn the ISIS-inspired attack in New Orleans.
There needs to be a pushback to that beyond taking to social media. In my opinion. And we don't have that. But that's what socialists do. That's what communists, Marxists do. They are not activists. Stop calling them activists. They are agitators. They've always been agitators. It's part of the playbook. Stir shit up. Cause chaos. Destabilize. To hopefully be able to get to the point where you can tear the system, you can tear the temple down to erect your own. That's what they do.
And if you're going to tell me that these groups, these far left groups, Soros back, and we hate billionaires, except George Soros. It's okay when he does this. Please. Billionaires. Oh my God, the billionaires. except Soros. And that's a new catchphrase now, right? Can't say moneyed bourgeois, as I said before. You can't call them the moneyed bourgeois because that'll sound a little too familiar to, you know, the Russian Revolution shit. The billionaire class. Eat the rich. Deify Luigi.
Saw a sign, somebody had some graffiti. Somebody took a picture of. Luigi, I come for Luigi. Because he killed a CEO.
¶ Investigating Protest Funding
But yeah I would love to see I don't know if you could ever do it I don't know if you could ever pull it off But I would love to see some Deep, transparent investigation Into the funding of these groups All the way back to Trayvon Martin All the way back to Ferguson Remember those riots? All the way back to 2014 See the funding See how many of those protesters were paid agitators? Paid to start some sort of civil unrest. How many of them were paid by BLM or anyone else back in 2020?
How much of that arson, how much of that destruction we saw in cities around the country, including right here in Kalamazoo, how much of that destruction was paid for by these community organizers. I'd love to know. Inquiring minds want to know. Maybe I should call the podcast that. Inquiring minds want to know. Speaking of Democrat money, article in The Hill last couple of days says that angry Democrat donors turn off the flow of money.
They're pissed off about what happened in the election. They're pissed off that Donald Trump is president. They do not like the direction of the Democratic Party. The failures, really, of the Democratic Party. So they've stopped giving them cash. In related news, comrade Bernie, millionaire Bernie Sanders, far-left social Democrat, social Democrat, Bernie Sanders, the darling of the Democratic Socialists, decided he was going to go on his eat-the-money bourgeois national tour this week.
All over the country. He's all over social media, performing it, promoting it. He's doing these big events I don't know if he's charging a mission Probably Somebody's got to pay for it, right? If the Democratic donors have cut off their money Well, somebody's got to pay for it Probably by selling tickets, right? Selling merch Maybe he's selling some books out there Sure he is.
Right on cue, hat in hand, and saying, well, we'd really like if you support, if you don't think billionaires have your best interest in mind, you should give us money. Right on cue. As soon as the Democrat, the big donor money dries up, that's what we see. Now, correlation does not always equate to causation. You've heard that before, right? It's true. Sometimes it does. Speaking of Democrat ineptitude Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson Is that his name?
Can't read my handwriting He's a Democrat, of course Because Chicago is a one-party city Now they did a poll in Chicago Know what his approval rating is? Take a guess, go ahead If you haven't heard this If you have heard this Don't tell your neighbor Just take a guess What his approval rating was in Chicago Do-do-do-do-do-do-do, 6.6 No, no, no. I didn't misspeak. I didn't misread it. It's not 66%. He got a 6.6% approval rating in Chicago.
Lori Lightfoot. Calgon, take me away. Where are you? Oh, my God. 6.6%. Do you realize how hard it is to get a 6.6% approval rating? His disapproval? This is even better. I don't know if it's even better, but just as bad, 80% of Chicago, of those polled in Chicago, and this is like 2,500 people, 80% disapprove of the job he's doing, saying crime is out of control. That's the biggest issue there.
¶ Polls and Political Landscape
6.6% now, So since we're talking about polls, Harvard Harris did a poll this week. Donald Trump is now nine points above water. This is remarkable. If you remember his first term, how unpopular he was in most of these polls. The idea that he is nine points above water and has a 52% approval rating.
After Doge, after the Elon Musk character assassination campaign, after everything that's happened, everything that's going on, the best efforts the Democrats are putting forth that discredit this guy, to scandalize him, to demonize him even more than they already have, after everything that's happened. Impeachments in January 6th, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia. R.F.K. Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, eight years of demonization, he's at 53%.
It's not like it's a new car. It's not like you're breaking it in and you like it, kind of, you know, you're just maybe not used to it yet. Maybe you don't know really how the car is going to behave here in the next six years. You know what you got with the guy. He's a known quantity. And he continues to get more and more popular 53% I mean, that's good for anybody, right? For him?
What else I got? Said 33% strongly approve of the job he's doing Alright, And 32%, there's that number again 30-33% If you pay attention to how often I mention that When talking about Democrat polls, 32% strongly disapprove go figure the usual suspects, the fellow polling travelers, and yet still he's got that kind of approval rating the only people he's underwater with 18 to 24 year olds the anti-semitic crowd that's protesting in favor of Palestine the pro-Hamas
crowd The ones taking over buildings at college campuses, chasing Jews around, tormenting Jews because they're Zionists. Those are the ones he's underwater with. So who cares? 18 to 24-year-olds. By definition, they're stupid. So who cares? Isn't that David Hogg's demo? I should talk more about that sometime. My God, what are you doing? David Hogg? Finally, one more thing for you I think this is going to be long enough Are you ready for the sequel?
¶ COVID-2 and New Threats
Ask me what I'm talking about Go ahead and ask me Fine, let me tell you, Apparently There's COVID-2 That's been found Another SARS virus It looks an awful lot like the first one, That popped out this week Keep an eye on that and that's not all just saw tonight that there's a mystery illness in Congo is it the Congo or just Congo used to be the Congo I'm gonna call it the Congo because I don't need to learn new names a mystery illness in the Congo
that's killed like 50 people they don't know what it is they have no idea but it's killed 50 people it's killed more than bird flu, so there's that are you ready for the sequel how are you going to react to that, you're going to cooperate you're going to be as cooperative as you were about five years ago today, actually now that i think about it now that i remember it we are almost exactly five years out, from the the coveted pandemic and the lockdowns and everything else five years
already believe that anyway you're going to cooperate. You're going to comply this time? Of course, you have a different president afar. Well, no, I guess we don't. We have the same president we had then, didn't we? So, Mr. Lockdown and everything. Why does Biden get all the blame for that? I mean, Trump was president the first year of that pandemic. Lockdowns and all that other shit. So, how's that going to go? Really? You're going to be as cooperative as you were five years ago?
You're going to take the jab? You got to take the new virus, the novel virus, the experimental virus, virus vaccine. I'm getting tired. Are you going to take the vaccine this time if they have one? You know, put it on supercharge and they ram it through. Are you going to stick it in your arm this time? One of these episodes, I have to come out and apologize to several people about some things I said. As far as the vaccine goes. I'm not putting another one of those in my arm. I got two.
I got the first one and I got a booster. I'm like, I started to see some of the stuff that the regular media, the mainstream media wasn't really talking about as far as side effects and cancer, heart attacks, all that other shit. Done. I'm not getting another one. My wife is, you know, I've talked about her political leanings. She said the same thing. I don't know if she'll stick to it. She's like, yeah, I'm not getting another one. of those. How are you going to react this time?
So yeah, that's going on in Congo. 50 dead. They don't know what it is. And first thought that entered my mind was gain of Fauci. Has USA been laundering some money? Sending some gain of function money to Africa? Maybe a hut Out in the middle of the jungle? A gain-of-function hut? Somewhere in Congo, doing a little research? Are you ready for the reprise? That's what I want to know. Music. Artwork on the last episode. Haven't quite gotten it all together yet.
Haven't quite committed 100% of my mind and about 88%. If I were to guess. But it is coming. Music. Shall be the Toddzilla X-Pod. Tell your friends. Oh, I need to remind you to like, share, and review. Especially over there on iTunes. I don't get any reviews for this stupid show because I don't ask for them, typically. If you like this show, go to iTunes. There's probably two feeds over there. It doesn't matter. Shoot me a review. It'll help erect the algorithm in my favor.
I need it. Toddzilla X over at YouTube. Toddzilla X over at the Substack as well. Thank you so much for tuning in. Hope you enjoyed it. We'll talk to you next time. So long.
