Episode description

During today's episode, we’ll be discussing Trump's appearance on CNN's Town Hall with Kaitlin Collins. The division between two distinct versions of America is apparent - one is our home, while the other is the abode of radical leftists, who tend to gravitate towards places like CNN. Trump resumed his campaigning in the same manner he had left it, and it appears to be his nomination to lose. DeSantis needs to contemplate his decision before entering this race.

Attention. You're listening to the Todd hf radio show, America's home for conservative not bitter talk radio. Be advised. The content of this program has been documented to prevent and even cure liberalism, and listening may cause you to lean to the right. Here's your conservative but not Bitter host, Todd Hoff all Right, my friends, I told you yesterday I hadn't seen all of the CNN town hall with Donald J. Trump. I have since watched it.

Yikes. I had seen a little bit of it. I had seen a little bit of what was going on with it before yesterday's program, but I just hadn't seen the whole thing. So I wanted to wait until I had seen the whole thing to really comment on this. And yikes, I mean, it's almost as though this Caitlyn Collins. I gotta tell you that. To me, one of the biggest takeaways, one of the biggest takeaways is that Caitlyn Collins is running for consideration for the most unlikable person in America today,

and it's a neck and neck race. It might be between Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, and Caitlyn Collins. I don't know who would win. If you watch this thing. You know exactly what I'm talking about this CNN town hall with Trump, and we'll go through that today as the program unfolds. But before we get started, I want to stop and tell you that you can participate in today's program. You can show your thoughts, you can ask your questions, you can look. It's Friday as well, so I'm

feeling a little bit like Weekend Todd. Weekend Todd is in full force here today. I'm feeling very laid back, very I don't know, just a little bit, a little bit different. You get to the end of the week. We've had some good things happening here with the show over the course of the well this week, but even beyond that, of course, But anyway you want to do, you want to throw something out there that we've

not even touched on before, and that includes questions. I know some of you don't share my Christian faith, and that's okay, that is okay. I will say we both can't be right. I will say that there either is a God or there's not. And anyway, but if you have questions about that, questions that even maybe you want to ask someone who's a pastor or whatever, you can ask us that as well. There's no stupid question. I promise you we can be friends so much as it is up to

me, even if we don't agree. Email address Todd at todtufshow dot com. Text three one seven at two one zero twenty eight thirty. Again three one seven at two one zero twenty eight thirty. I even saw some comments coming through, some questions I think coming through Spotify. Most of the times people either text or email anyway, I welcome all of those, will get

to those as we can. But I want to talk today. I want to talk today about this CNN town Hall Caitlin Collins, who apparently is a morning I think she's got a morning show, so called journalists seeing it, CNN does not employ journalists. I'm sorry. See and that performance that she gave, the way that she moderated that town hall is proof positive of this. My oh my, super super unlikable, just a mess, an absolute mess. In fact, I thought about I thought, I'm just gonna look,

I got notes today. You hear that I rarely have sheets of paper. I've got three sheets of paper that I have, just notes from Wednesday Nights. Was it Wednesday? Yeah, Wednesday Nights town Hall meeting, and I have the questions and just some bullet points and if we want to play some sound bites, I know where the clips are. This was, by the way, hosted in New Hampshire. Republican and undecided voters were supposedly in

the crowd. By the way, if you want to see some people who are upset about this turned to the other folks in the media or in La La Land, including the women on the View, which I mean that's you want to venture into someplace where lunacy is supreme and is king venture onto the View. But if you want to look at folks like that, if you want to look at Joe Scarborough and other folks in the media who were just

totally upset about this thing last night. Not because Caitlin Collins was incredibly unlikable. She acted as though she was she was the arbiter of truth. It is so funny to me anytime Trump would say anything, she would challenge everything, absolutely everything, and then she would try at the end of the engagement, which of course good luck doing this to Trump, but she would try to get the last word in. Well, as we know, there's not.

In fact, she said at one point there were no fraudulent ballots in Wisconsin. I mean, come on, when we start making questions like that, you don't have to believe at this particular point in time that the twenty twenty election was stolen or whatever. I'm not suggesting that there's no evidence, because there absolutely is evidence. And again, if you've not seen the documentary two thousand Mules, I encourage you to do that. I encourage you to

do that. Even though one of the people there was not the friendliest to me, that's a whole other story altogether. I was trying to We had a screening party for that documentary a year ago, and they weren't very nice to yours. Truly. I don't know how you can't be nice to me. We are harmless, lovable little fuzzballs. Here is rush used to say. But I that documentary provides evidence. Now you can say it's not enough

evidence. You can have questions about the evidence. But to suggest that there is no evidence of wrongdoing in the state of Wisconsin or Michigan, or Georgia or Arizona or Pennsylvania in twenty twenty is simply not being a fair minded journalist. But that's the narrative. The narrative is so that they believe. They

believe they the journalists, they the radical left. They believe that if they crack that door open just a little bit, that Trump is going to put his foot in there and weasel that thing open completely opened, and then they have a massive problem on their hands. They believe this. I think that they are fully aware of this. They do not want to see a metaphorical inch to Trump because they fear this man and this thing. I'm telling you

Wednesday night. In fact, that's why I grab these these papers here in the notes. Listen to this. I want you to listen to her questions. Her questions now, I don't have them verbatim here, her questions at a town hall. This thing lasted I don't know. I think it lasted about an hour and fifteen minutes. First question, she said, you're dominating amongst Republicans. Again I'm paraphrasing, but you're also dealing with a lot of,

you know, other legal issues in battles. She then said, can you acknowledge in twenty twenty that you just lost, that it was not a rigged or a stolen election. She then chimed in and said, Republican officials have debunked the fake ballot issue that you're talking about now he did or she did, I guess stop to take questions from the audience, and there were

questions. This was where a question was asked about election fraud and so forth, as and whether or not the president was going to suspend those conversations and comments on the twenty twenty four campaign trail. And just the screenshot is this is literally six minutes in. I've got it at the six h six mark. The look on her face. She loaths President Trump. I mean, she cannot again, what's her name, Caitlyn, Caitlyn Collins. She cannot

even pretend to be unbiased here. She is oozing with hatred. She is oozing with She's just super condescending. She's self righteous. She believes she has the facts, and Trump, of course, is trying to manipulate and lie and deceive and so forth. She doesn't believe that context matters. She believes that she's the arbiter of whatever needs to be said. And this whole, this whole thing was contentious. She didn't just ask Trump questions. Sometimes she

did, but when she asked him questions, she came in hot. It would be questions. Now this, by the way, it's hyperbole, but it would be questions akin to when did you stop beating your wife? Right? I mean, this is kind of the sort of stuff, the sort of stuff that we were subjected to in this town hall meeting. She asked him about wanting to terminate the Constitution, which again that requires some contexts.

Most of what Trump says requires at least some degree of context. She basically accused him of having mind control over his supporters and that he was solely responsible for January sixth. If he only would have tweeted out his response a little bit sooner, we could have avoided what happened on January sixth, As though his supporters were sitting there with their Twitter accounts opened on their cell phones, ready to at a moment's notice, take heed and stop the criminal acts or

whatever was going on. There's a variety of things that went on during January sixth. Some of them were absolutely criminal, some of them were misdemeanors. Some of them were simply people just gathering in areas to exercise their constitutional rights. And all this gets conflated. You're not allowed to mention that, you're not allowed to provide context. Trump, of course, pulls out of his pocket. If you didn't see this, he pulls out of his suit pocket

or his jacket. He has a list of his tweets, and he says, at this time, on this day, I tweeted this. He reads the peacefully. I think he read the peacefully and patriotically marched down to the Capitol tweet. He also said he also referenced a tweet that he says is still down on Twitter. I don't know. I don't know if I know

this. I haven't looked independently into this. I mean, we're dealing with things here for a long long, you know, with a long history of stuff, right, so a lot of events and details and so forth. But this is how this thing got started. It wasn't as Biden's start off, what's your favorite flavor of ice cream? Now? I jokingly say that those questions typically are not answered during or asked during the town hall types of

meetings. But Biden can't complete a sentence, and they sit there patiently let him stumble and bumble. They don't care. They fact will look, they will excuse that sort of behavior. He's not asked these sorts of questions. He's not asked about read and the allegations there. Trump was asked repeatedly about miss Carroll, who, of course we've not talked. I don't think we've talked about that on here, mostly because of time. But Trump one a

part of that case, but also lost a part of that case. He's liable in one particular instance pertaining to defamation and sexual assault civilly. So but again, has Biden been asked about terror Reid? Whenever Hunter Biden's laptop came up in the twenty twenty election, was that even allowed to be discussed.

No, none of this stuff was allowed. In fact, we had fifty one so called intelligence professionals that again had less intelligence knowledge than a guy with a microphone in central Indiana who's now traveling the country in a fifth wheel.

I knew more about this, and I knew that the story that this was Russian propaganda and Russia disinformation was preposterus on my own, and so did you as we listen to fifty one professionals try to use their own form of propaganda to get Americans not to vote for Trump, to think that he was being helped and aided by the well by the Russians propaganda at its findest. But

Biden doesn't get asked these questions. Biden doesn't get asked about the potential, the evidence that's in the Hunter Biden laptop that shows there is a problem, potential problem, actual evidence of pay to play. More and more dots are getting connected on a nearly daily basis. Now he's not asked about any of

that. In fact, if you asked that question, if you ask that question, if you bring it up, you're accused of trying to thwart our democracy, undermine a fairly elected president, engage in disinformation, and so forth. It is a clear double standard here that we're dealing with today. I've got other notes here. Um. Yeah. She asked, why did it take three hours for you to tell the January sixth rioters to go home? When it was clear that they weren't being peaceful? Why didn't you tell them

to go home? This was an interrogation. This wasn't a This was not tell me what you think about this issue. This was she came in hot. She thought again, she thought that she was going to look a certain way and come off as someone that's holding Trump, you know, holding Trump to accountable, to be accountable. But in reality, what she looks like here is a self righteous, narrow minded, unlikable, highly unlive I would put that for a super unlikable so called journalist that lives in CNN world.

By the way, that's one of the takeaways I had of this, which of course we know this, but I can see it on display. We clearly have two Americas now. Most people thankfully live in our America and America where they respect the Constitution, they respect freedom, they respect liberty, they respect choice, free speech, the Second Amendment, they respect that people are different, that we can share our ideas, that we don't have to be

monolithic in order to move forward. We can have our different opinions, different opinions and so forth, but we can still move in a general direction. We don't have to personally destroy and villainize anyone who disagrees with us. We can say that a lot of what we're being force fed in this culture is not healthy, is not good, is not safe, is not productive, is not prosperous, is not something that we should be passing on to the

next generation. And I'm thinking first and foremost about the transagenda that's being crammed down the throats of our little ones and so forth. I mean, there's lots of issues that the economy. Of course, most people know that what we have is not functioning, but in the CNN bubble and the radical leftist bubble, in the media bubble, which, by the way, CNN. This is the first time CNN has been relevant since Donald Trump left the office

because no one's been watching. It's the only time I forgot it was even something I could watch until I saw that he was going to be on this, you know, on this town hall. I've forgotten it even existed, totally forgot. I mean, I'm kidding to a degree that I certainly don't think about it. I remember when I saw this last week. You'll remember, if you go back to the show, you'll hear me say I can't wait May tenth. I remember saying May tenth. I got it marked on

the calendar, and I'm looking forward to talking about it. And I gotta tell you that's what I prepared to talk about today. I watched this thing. I took some notes. There's a lot of takeaways. One of them is we clearly have two Americas. CNN does not understand the real America. The America, that lives again in reality, that is based upon reason, that respects and loves the constitution, that loves this country, that respects freedom,

that respects choice, that loves free market capitalism. They don't they they have no understanding of what that is. They have no understanding of Trump. They believe it's their job to attack and demonize them aligne. And of course, from their perspective, it is that it is as transparent as a newly minted window. My friends, it is crystal clear for anybody who wants to

see. So timeouts in order a little bit long in this segment, as per usual, I know the first segment I get at a little bit lengthy, but I got lots I want to get to today. It's a little hot here in the fifth wife. Now, I'm never going to complain about being hot. You hear me complain about being cold. But it's been awfully balmy here. I think it was ninety I think I saw ninety five, ninety six here, heat and decks, excuse me, feels like timber.

Sure, we can't say heat index anymore. That's two. I know, you know it. But the average ah, well, many American consumers that are watching seeing it. They don't know what that is anymore. So it feels like temperature I saw listen was ninety seven here yesterday. But anyway, timeouts in order sit tight, my friends, you're listening here to conservative not better talk. I'm your host, the one, the only top helf. Back in just a minute, welcome back. My friends were just going through

this town hall. I don't think I don't think that's a fair name for what this thing was on Wednesday night. It's not a town hall. A town hall is when you bring people together. They sit in the audience, they ask questions, there's context provided, and someone shares his or her beliefs, policies, what they would seek to do if they were in office. There was a little tiny bit of that, but there's always an angle.

It's not just I know that you know this. Some if you've tuned in and you're not, you haven't followed politics much, maybe you don't know, and that's okay. But CNN did not have Trump on to make sure that we understand what he really finds important. Is not interested in this. Seeing in is interested in attacking the guy. CNN is interested in making sure he's not president. They're also torn because they are interested in their ratings, which

are completely abhorrent, just awful, terrible. No one watches the stupid thing, and so the only way they can get him or get people to watch is what happened is suddenly the only time it's been relevant again since Trump Trump took office again, some of these questions she didn't ask. The vast majority of the see I'm looking here the first I'm gonna say the first forty minutes

of this. At fifteen minutes end, she said, Pence, said Vice President Pence, so that you put his life in danger that day, At seventeen minutes, she said, there were not any fraudulent votes in Wisconsin, any fraudulent votes, none. Zero. That would be for the first time in the history of the world that there was zero fraud in any election. And I don't mean to say that to scare people in the sense that elections

are always fabricated. I'm not saying that though we should ask those questions, we should try to understand the vulnerabilities, be able to discuss these things freely and openly without fear of being accused of wanting to sabotage our quote unquote democracy. But we're in seventeen minutes into this thing, and she's still she this Caitlyn. What is it I keep forgetting her name? It's it's forgettable other than her nastiness, Caitlyn Collins, and I don't take any pleasure. Folks

were conservative, not bitter. But part of that means, look, anyone who is interested in understanding what I believe, what conservatism is, I am infinitely patient. Didn't always I wasn't always that way, but I'm infinitely patient and explaining it because I think sincerity and authenticity are important. But she's not. She's not interested in this, Caitlyn Collins, nor anyone else for that matter. At CNN, they are not interested in presenting, you know,

giving Trump a platform and allowing him to speak for himself. They is this is a personal war against him. They they view themselves as being a necessary peace of the puzzle to prevent Trump from being president again. And so they, I mean, they picked up last night right where they left off in two thousand and twenty, and of course in many ways they've never stopped.

They've never stopped. So after they talked about well, they got into January sixth as well, asking if he would pardon Actually that was a listener or excuse me, an audience member, Will you pardon the January six rioters? Will you pardon the Proud boys who are charged with seditious conspiracy. That's where Trump chimed in and said, you can't get a fair trial in DC or

in New York City. That of course led to the case the recent verdict in the Gene Carol case where Trump was again found at least partially liable for the you know, the charges that were levied against him. Um. Then people were again women, people were asking about women and just well, women vote for Trump in spite of all of these I mean again, the first half of this thing, or the first at least third, was about rehashing, rehashing all the things that has have come up in the past. Things

I mean actually they actually talked about I don't want to say this. You've heard me and we've talked about this in the past, but Trump's uh infamous I guess comments on to what was the I want to say, inside edition. I can't remember the name of the the group that released those grab women comments, grabbed them by the you know what comments? Whoever released that I can't think of who it was, but that was talked about a fair deal last night. And then of course what else did we here we go?

What else did we get into? We got into Finally, about twenty five minutes in they ask about the economy. So for the first twenty five minutes of this Trump was attacked for all sorts of thing. Impeachment came up. It wasn't a direct question that Trump referenced it. And this again Caitlin Collins was sitting there as though every time Trump said anything that she disagreed with, she had to chime in, get the last word and say that Trump was

lying, or that he was making something up or whatever. It was borderline unwatchable other than just the Trump factor, if you watch it for the Trump factor and understand, hey, this is what I'm going to get from this so called make believe journalist. Okay, that's fine, But if you expected for him to have a fair platform to share his thoughts, his agenda, his platform for twenty twenty four, that's not We're nowhere near the and of

course we all knew that going in. So but there were some missues that were covered, including the economy, the debt ceiling, gun violence, the women's vote, especially in the wake of the Dabb's decision, which of course overturned ro versus Wade tital forty two, which expired yesterday. And I think I misspoke. I was hurrying, hurrying through that a little bit yesterday,

and I might have said something wrong by by mistake. But tital forty two, tital forty two, now that it's not part of the equation, is going to is attracting more people to come to our southern border. It wasn't that I misspoke yesterday when I was in a hurry. It's not that they were trying to beat the end of it. They actually wanted to expire so that it's it's going to be highly easier, potentially much easier to get across

the southern border and not be turned away. But that was discussed as well, so there were some issues. There were certainly some issues as well. And I've seen well a couple of other thoughts about this. One of the

thoughts is I got a text about it. I got a text message about this yesterday, which was Republicans like Indiana Senator Todd Young, who's now in fact I had a buddy, also sent me the clip where Todd Young is telling CNN, Hey, I'm not going to support President Trump, which is not a big surprise to me. Todd Young is a rhino here in the state of Indiana. I have had multiple people ask me, is there something

we can do to work together to prevent him from winning? He's up, by the way for re election again in four years, well in twenty twenty eight. Note in twenty twenty four. In twenty twenty eight, I will go on record, and I know folks from Young's office we've communicated and it's been cordial. It's not personal to me, but I will go on record clearly here if it's not been, if it's not been something that you've interpreted from what I've said, which I mean I've actually said some not bad things,

but just I'm not a fan. I'm not a fan at all. Todd Young seems more interested in cozying up to the Democrats than actually legislating like a conservative. He votes, he votes in ways I agree with in many cases. But he's not the type of person that we need in Washington, d C. He's definitely not currently our best senator in Indiana. That's that's Senator Braun who's of course not seeking re election. He's going to run for

governor. That's another another topic. But folks are folks are tired of this. I think for people that like Trump and that have kind of you know, he's not been on the scene for a little bit. I mean, he always is, but he's not been in the spotlight, the prime spotlight. Tuesday, excuse me, Wednesday night put him back in that spotlight, and it I think kind of rejuvenated some people. And this is another reason why I think de Santis who I still like. I know some of you

don't who I still like. Although I do have questions, I still like the Santis. I think this is something his advisers and folks need to take into account, is Trump is going to ignite his base and quickly we've kind of forgotten what it's like to have someone take the narrative back over. We've been subjective to Joe Biden having the narrative or you know, there's not been

anyone else step to the forefront in Republican leadership. Mitch McConnell, I mean McCarthy, not no Trump, different animal right, And so see that on Wednesday night. Oh, if you haven't seen it. I encourage you to watch it. I do. I'll probably put it on the stack of stuff for today if you want to check it out. But plenty of other things to talk about with this this. I'll play some clips as well. The problem is I don't know which ones to play. There's so many, so

many to choose from entertaining ones. Maybe I'll play the part where he calls her a nasty woman, and she was being nasty if you ask me, she certainly wasn't being an unbiased moderator, that's for sure. Anyway, timeouts in order, my friends, sit tight, you listening to conservative not better talk. I'm your host, taught Hugh Back in just a minute, Welcome

back, my friends. So again, the takeaways that I got from wednesday nights town hall, Well, first of I didn't even mention this to listen to the indignation and the condescension coming from Caitlin Collins of CNN and acting as though with this faux outrage that Trump did the worst thing ever in the history of humanity by questioning the twenty twenty four election. Excoose me twenty twenty election, by questioning it, by saying it was rigged, that there's evidence of

voter fraud, election integrity issues, all of this. I mean, she the whole first part of this stupid town hall was again to attack him on multiple fronts, but one is to say to come out with both guns ablaze. And they're trying again to nip this in the butt. They're trying to get it so that Trump is not the nominee, right, and so they've tried a myriad of ways. They've tried to They've tried the legal system,

They've tried, you know, to get him indicted. That's what this thing with Alvin braggs about, which again is a long shot, but they're willing to try anything. They are. They are terrified they have if they can't get him indicted, well they've gotten him indict if they can't get him locked away in an orange jumpsuit, not to be confused with Hilary's orange pants suit. But if they can't get him locked away, they at least want to

affect his ability to raise funds. They want to have more Todd Young defectors. By the way, Todd Young, Senator Todd Young here in the state of Indiana, who are you supporting for for president? Is it Biden. Right now, those are the only two that are running. Well, it's vvek Ramaswami's running. Who else is Nicky? Haley declared, I guess she has and right now, I mean Senator Young's closer to Biden in many ways

than Trump. I mean herd He released a statement. I've not seen it, but but they want more of this right, they want they want chaos that these Republicans in DC do not have the intestinal fortitude to deal with the questions. They're embarrassed by Trump. But my friends, we're at a point. We're at a point where the real fight for the survival of this constitutional

republic is fighting off and defending it from these radical leftists. It's defending the cultural right, the corruption, the downright evil and wickedness that we see within the halls of government amongst our politicians, in our culture, in our schools. Again, that's not a blanket statement. They are wonderful people who are teachers and so forth. But there's some really nasty and terrible and dangerous ideas

that are going on out there. And the question is, or the risk is or the danger is, are those radical leftist ideas, those godless radical unhinged, insane ideas. It is not a tweet from President Trump. It's simply not. It's simply not. But yet Todd Young and Mitt Romney and others that are of that ilk, of that like are more embarrassed by that than they are by Biden, who literally cannot read from a teleprompter. Driven inflation up, it's now down to four point nine percent. They think that

they've achieved something fantastic. He drove it up to nine plus percent. They don't seem bothered by that. They don't seem too bothered by the impact it has upon your family's ability to pay the mortgage, the electric bill, to grocery bill, to gas bill. But let Trump say he's going to run for office. Trump go back in there and do a town hall with some radical leftist at CNN and make a statement like he did. They wanted him

to say, is puting a war criminal? Trump said, I'm not going to call him a war criminal, because what I'm trying to do is negotiate an into that war. And why would I start throwing around terminology that's gonna make him less likely to stop fighting, Because if he thinks we're coming after him as a war criminal. He may to say I'm going down with the ship right, and again, context is everything. But if you don't tow the line today, you may disagree with Trump on that. That's totally fine,

But he's not saying what they say he's saying. They want you to think he's rooting for Putin. They want you to think he's rooting for chaos, and that he's basically paying back a political ally for helping him still the twenty sixteen election. That is simply not at all what happened. It's not what he said. But again, if you listen to their stupid, superficial narratives, that is where That's what we're left with. That's what we're left

with. So I gotta take a time out. Simply don't have enough time here this segment. So quick time out is in order to my friends, I want to tell you something else that well, let me see what I want to get to in the time we have remaining. There's so many more things I want to say about this. We might play a sound bite on the other side of the break, but sit type my friends back here in

just a minute. I'm back with my friends. There are so many things that I could pick to play from this town hall debacle the other night, but I'm gonna play this one. This is probably the most the maybe one of the lines that got the most attention and applause from the audience. And by the way, if you want to see the reaction, I simply won't

have time time the reaction from other leftists. I'll put a link to a story I don't know if it was the post Millennial or something like that, on our Stack of Stuff page tod huffshow dot com slat Well, just search for the stack of stuff and you will you will see that. But I want to play I want to play this. This is where Trump calls Caitlin Collins a nasty person. I keep in mind, this is an hour into this. If you didn't hear this, this is an hour into it.

So this is Trump after after Trump has been interrupted for over an hour, corrected, she thinks is correcting him, talking over him a lot. I mean, this felt like a lot of the debates where they talk over each other, except for it was the mot the so called moderator here, I guess, But I just want you to listen to this exchange and where he'd call he calls her a nasty person. Here it is for some reason. Bear with me here. That did not That did not work here. Sometimes

it does, sometimes it doesn't. Let's try that again. We'll see not that I can think of. Let me just tell you I have the absolute right to do whatever I want with them. I have the right. I was negotiating with NARAT. Do you know what NARRA is? National Archives? Extremely you extremely left, a group of people extremely left, and I was negotiating with them. All of a sudden my house. They didn't raid the house of Joe Biden. They didn't raid Obama. Joe Biden didn't ignore a

subpoena to get those documents back like that. But that's the question that investigators have, I think, is why you held onto those documents when you knew the federal government was seeking them and then it had given you a Ready are you ready?
