Episode description

Rep. Tim Burchett & Rep. Kevin McCarthy allegedly got into a physical altercation this week. Burchett accused McCarthy of elbowing him in the back. Senator Mark Mullin went head-to-head with a Union president and challenged him to a fight on the Senate floor. Bernie Sanders played referee. In Biden’s America, even asylum seekers are going back home to Venezuela.

Attention. You're listening to the top Huff radio show, America's home for conservative not bitter Talk radio. Be advised. The content of this program has been documented to prevents and even cure liberalism, and listening may cause you to lean to the right. Here's your conservative but not bitter host Tod Huff. Greetings, my friends, you have tuned in to America's son for conservative not bitter talk. It's a pleasure to be here today. You know, you may

have seen this in the news. There is chaos abounding. Chaos, of course, abounds in Biden's America. Chaos abounds in the halls of Congress. Just yesterday a little well, I guess it would have been what is today, today's Thursday, so it would have been Tuesday. Tuesday alone, we had Representative Tim Burchett accusing the who he calls the bully, Kevin McCarthy.

Now this is the same Representative Tim Burchett who a couple of weeks ago, while being interviewed on Steve Bannon's program, said that he's conservative but not bitter about it. I offered to help. I offered to help since they're using our slogan and tagline, which I'm happy to be of assistance here, but I feel like there has to be a better way than to have a physical altercation with Kevin McCarthy. That's what's being alleged here. So let's read what

this this says. It says. The story here says that Representative Birchett, Representative Burchett accused Representative McCarthy Kevin McCarthy, former Speaker McCarthy of elbowing him in the back and quote giving him a clean shot to the kidneys. I this is looking over here some of this melee or that the I guess the fallout from the melee. There's a short clip that I've seen circulating online. I

don't know what's happened here. I don't know what's happened here. I just know that things are tense in Congress, and I know that I'm again everywhere I look, even those who say conservative not bitter. I don't know. Here's the exchange that had now NPR report of Claudia Grisiallez said that she was talking with Burchette at the time of this incident. She said that the impact almost knocked the fifty nine year old Tennessee and that's mister Burchett almost knocked him

into her. So Burchette turns around and yells at McCarthy, why'd you elbow me in the back? Kevin? And he yells back, hey, Kevin, you got any guts? Jerk? McCarthy, who is fifty eight, says that he did not elbow. He did not elbow Birchett in the back, and so then Birchett replied, you got no guts you did. So the reporter said it right there, What kind of a chicken move? Is that? Pathetic man? You are so pathetic, And then he told the US once more. He said to McCarthy, what a jerk? You need

security, Kevin. Then later on McCarthy was asked that I just can't believe this. McCarthy was asked about the incident, and he said, if I hit somebody, they would know I hit them. So now we got, you know, used to on this program. In fact, I got a clip. I'm not going to play it. Vivek Ramaswami was on with Chris Cuomo. Chris Cuomo, former journalist now disgraced former journal Actually, I guess you could say as a current journalist, well, you can't say any of

them are journalists. He's a current guy that pretends to give you the news. And I call Chris Cuomo tough guy Chris Cuomo, because that's kind of how Chris Cuomo wants to come across. He wants to act like he's got this bravado tough guy and so forth. Now we got McCarthy out there pretending to be the tough guy. I don't know what happened here. I don't know what happened here, but I definitely know we could use a lot more conservative and a lot less bitter in the halls of Congress. And look,

I know things get intense. I do. I know that things get intense. I know that the stakes are high. I know that it matters tremendously. But this idea, this idea that we've now resorted to physical altercations, at least shoving, at least, based upon eyewitness accounts, an elbow to the back. That's what's happening now, Kevin McCarthy, former Speaker of the House, pushing, elbowing, kidney shotting Representative Birchett, who of course is

trying to tag onto our brand a conservative not bitter. And again, I welcome it. I do welcome it. I appreciate it. Actually, I just think, you know, we've got to probably not get into physical altercations, which this may not have his fault at all. I'm just saying, should avoid physical altercations with people of your own party unless there's like an imminent threat. Who knows what's going on over there. There also was an incident

Tuesday in Congress where there was a hearing in the Senate. A member, a union leader i should say, of the Teamsters union, was testifying before a panel. I might play the SoundBite of that I won't do this though I won't do it this break or this segment, I should say. But he is being interviewed before a Senate committee, and things get intense. The committee was being chaired by none other than the nutty professor Bernie Sanders himself.

So Bernie Bernie Sanders is watching this Senator Mark Wayne Mullen. During the hearing, it gets intense with the president of the Teamsters Union, Sean O'Brien, goes back and forth. Suddenly they accuse each other of well, you want to take it outside sort of thing. So the senator again again, Mark Wayne Mullen, stands up in the hearing stands up and basically says says, let's go. You know where to find me, you know where to find

me. Well, this was this was the Teamsters Union president, and a tweet afterwards he told Mark Wayne Mullen, you know where to find me any place, anytime, cowboy. So so this, this is Congress, this is the Senate. So we have and we have the issue of course in the House of Representatives. We have it in now the Senate as as well. Times are intense during this altercation as well. It wasn't a physical altercation, was a verbal altercation. Mister Senator Mullan says, you want to do

it right now. Mullan, I should point out, was an MMA fighter before coming to Congress. Good luck, mister O'Brien. I would have loved to have seen that. You know, I'm teasing. I'd love to do it right now. The Teamsters Union president responded, well, stand your butt up. Then Mullen said, and O'Brien told Mullen to do the same. Next thing, you know, they stand up. Bernie Sanders intervenes, you're

a United States senator. Sit down. This is a hearing, and God knows the American people have enough contempt for Congress, let's not and then that cuts the audio feed. We're not here to talk about physical abuse, Bernie Sanders said. Anyway, times are tough, tough, times are tense, and I understand. I mean, folks, we are in I said before multiple times, we're in the midst of a cold civil war. And this cold civil war is rooted in an ideological It's an ideological battle. It's a

battle for worldview, and it makes it's the octagon. I guess for those competing ideologies is the political world. And so we have a clash of worldviews and ideologies on display. We have tense times. We have people that are fed up with Congress. They're fed up with the government. They're tired of bidenflation and biden nomics. They're tired of this country being completely destroyed in every measurable way from inflation. Inflation has dropped to like three point two. I

want to say three point two three point five around that area. I want to be fair. I don't have the number in front of me. I just read this as I was getting ready for the show over the past several days. But inflation has dropped, but it's still higher. It's still fifty percent higher. It's not fifty percentage points higher. When Trump was president, it was around two percent. Now it's between three and three point two three

point five. It's dropped dramatically from where Biden had driven it up, and Biden wants credit for bringing it down again. This reminds me, as so many things in politics to today, reminds me of an episode of the Office where Dwight K. Shrewd was responsible for choosing a healthcare plan. Well, actually Michael Scott was. Michael Gary Scott was responsible. He didn't want to have to choose a health care plan because that meant cutting benefits for his staff,

so he delegated it. He delegated it to Dwight K. Shrewd, who was all too prepared and ready to cut benefits to his fellow employees at dunder Mifflin. And as he was choosing the health care plan, he had emailed it out to the group, and basically Jim and Pam came in to ask Dwight, Dwight, why did you cut the health care plan? What's going on here? Don't you need health health insurance, don't you need trips to the doctor, and so forth? Dwight K. Shrewd, of course,

says I don't need it. I've got superior genes. I can raise and lower my cholesterol at will, to which Pam Beasley says, prior to her becoming Pam Halpert says, why would you raise your cholesterol, Dwight? And he says, so that I can lower it. And that's what we're dealing with today in our government when we're looking at inflation. Biden raised that, I guess so he could get credit for lowering it. So everything is

a mess. People are are again, they're tired of Congress, that there's there's protests in the streets, there's anti Semitism coming out the ears in this country. Open borders, don't tell me I'm amazed. I'm amazed. I don't read honestly, I don't read five percent of social media comments anymore. I'll read your emails and I welcome you. If I didn't say that off

the top to at tote show dot com. Three one seven two one zero twenty eight thirty is the text number thoughts, questions, feedback and adoration and praise is accepted. I read your emails. I mean, if they got to make the cut. In ninety nine, point five percent do every once in a while, someone just doesn't realize the opportunity they've had, this once

in a lifetime opportunity to reach out to yours truly. But the point is, the point is I see idiotic and intentionally stay of intentional ignorance where folks are saying that the border is not open, the act as though they've never heard this. I saw somebody on Twitter recently. This wasn't a comment,

this was just a post. She went and took a picture in front of Trump's border wall and said she didn't see anybody trying to cross, to which she got all sorts of supply replies replies like, well, it depends upon where you are. Turns out that walls work that sort of thing. But of course, going to one place on the border and saying I didn't see anybody illegally illegally trying to cross does not mean anything other than you were at a place on the border. Did folks realize how big the border is?

I mean, I know, based upon what I've seen man on the street interviews find out that the average American thinks that we fought for our independence from Portugal in nineteen forty one, I mean, that's the kind of nonsense that's happening in this country. We have deliberate ignorance. We have open borders, we have tension around the world. By the way, I've got a story on the border. I've got a story on the border that is it is

satire coming to life. You know, there's the Babylon B and then there's the thing, and it's called Not the Bee. Babylon B is satire. Not the Bee is a group that basically writes about things that sound like they should be satire. But the real satire is becoming our reality. And the point is this is coming to a boiling point, right, It's reached a boiling point. It is at a boiling point to where we've got McCarthy allegedly

kidney shotting Representative Burchett in the halls of Congress. We have got Senator Mullen challenging the president of the team's resunion to a fight in the Senate or a Senate hearing, I should say, And so this is the reality. And I'm telling you I've said this before. I know there are people that just they look at the twenty twenty twenty four campaign and they still don't realize what

we're about to embark upon. This is going to be This is going to make twenty twenty look like a metaphorical walk in the park, and remember what they did. Then it's going to make twenty sixteen look like your family vacation to the beach. This is going to be intense, and it's going to rear its head in all sorts of places. It'll even rear its head a little bit here. But what you can always count on here is that it will never rear its head to the point where we cease to be conservative,

not bitter. So hang in there. We're going to help you navigate these difficult times. But this is not going away anytime soon. This will not.

This will not if we want to win, if we're serious about saving this country, if we are, if we have made the decision to metaphorically well or actually not even metaphorically, in reality, have reached the point where we said what our founders said years ago when they wrote the Declaration, we mutually pledged to one another our lives, our fortune, and our sacred honor. Basically, we're gonna do everything we can to save this nation, no

matter what it costs us. Personally, when if we've reached that point, and we should, my friends, I mean, there's there's no other place to go after this. This is this is the still the shining city on a hill. If we've reached that point, and if we have basically committed

ourselves to doing whatever is necessary to save this nation. I'm talking about politically, I'm talking about I'm talking about, you know, just the ways that we would go about saving this nation by helping it return the truth into the foundation upon which she was built. This is going to be intense. The other side is not going to just lie down, not at all, and it's going to continue to rear its ugly head all over the place. So

you can laugh. I laugh a little bit at this. I mean, I walk home, and you know, let me say this to it. I know I'm up against the I'm past the break here, but let me also remind you that people lack like this has never happened in American history, you know, it has. It's been a lot worse than this. We went to war, Civil War. I'm not calling for it by heavans. I want to avoid that sort of discussion altogether, but I'm just simply saying

it's been intense before. We had people that used to instead of just standing up to challenge each other to a fight, they went out in the streets and they dueled in the history of this great nation. So we've been through these highly intense times before, but it takes principled, tough people to get us through. Fortunately, you've tuned into one here, my friends, and I know many of you have that same tough It's going to require us to suck it up, put on our big boy pants or if you're a girl,

the big girl pants. And we got to walk through this shoulder to shoulder of my friends. But a timeouts in order we'll pass the break here have to truncate the next segment. My friends, sit tight back in a minute. Welcome back to my friends. So there's two things I want to make sure that I get to. One of those two things is I think I mentioned that I was going to play this sound bite of what happened in

the synody on Tuesday. The other is the well is this story that sounds like That's what I want to talk about first, hanging there on the SoundBite because this is all again, this is all I see it as all related and I'll tell you why. The reason I see all this stuff as related because it's like it's like when pressures mount, say at home or at work or wherever we have. When pressures mount, there is a need for pressures to be relieved. And when pressures intensify, you know, sometimes people need

to blow off steam, sometimes people have a blow up. It's the same thing what's happening in our government. There is so much pressure. There is so much pressure that has been accumulating, and it's been accumulating from every conceivable angle. I've talked about it, you know, between between the tensions around the world, between inflation, between open borders, between i mean, fill in the blank. It's everywhere. What's being pushed upon our children at schools,

protests and streets here. Of course, you had a peaceful protest on Tuesday on Tuesday, the March for Israel in Washington, d C. The other violent protesters should take note of what they see, you know, it's amazing. I'm more inclined that I guess. I would think most average every day Americans are more inclined to listen to what someone in protest is trying to

communicate. If they're not burning down the city, if they're not looting, if they're not dancing on top of police cars, if they're not throwing bricks at officers, if they're not having the need to shut down traffic in cities,

if they're not trying to pull people out of their car. I'm much more willing to listen to people who aren't trying to use dare I say a form of terrorism to get their political point across, Terrorism, after all, is to use intimidation or violence, and the intimidation of violence, the threat of violence to achieve a political ends. Protest is when you simply are trying to make your opinions known, get attention, and you have to understand that

there are ways to do that, legally and illegally. Not every protest stays a protest. In fact, if it's being run by a radical leftist, it often turns into a riot. In fact, the starting points some of these things are riots. And the point is all this stuff, this is, this pressure is building on the American people, on the American government, and we realize, much to our dismay and much to our well, the

more we realize it, it could possibly turn into abject fear. I would tell you not to let it get to that point, but it can turn into absolute fear when you realize the people that we have in Washington, DC or Charlatan's, they're not equipped to deal with this. These are professional Again, I am talking broadbrush strokes here. Are there are some, certainly, but there's way too many, way too many professional Charlatan's, professional sophist,

professional opportunists that are not serious people. They know how to get elected and re elected. They don't know how to make tough decisions. They don't know how to lead, they don't know how to be principal, they don't know how to hear to the constitution. That many of them don't know what's in the constitution, don't care what's in the constitution. This is reality. I'm just this is reality as I see it. Some people may see it differently,

and that is fine. This is how I see it. And this so many of our problems could be avoided if we just had adults making these decisions. So there's an article here that I want to it's it's so bad. The pressure has mounted so much that this is literally the title of an article that was a parody article years ago. You ready for this? Here it is. This is a New York post. This was a couple of days ago, this was actually this was on This must have been Monday the

thirteenth. Fed up migrants who trekked thousands of miles to US already heading home. American dream doesn't exist, So you have people. I'll read the first sentence of this and I'm going to take a break. Some Venezuelan migrants who trecked thousands of miles to the US in search of a better life are so

disheartened they say they are already heading back home. Michael Castejan thirty nine told the Chicago Tribune he has had enough after he his wife and teenage stepdaughters spent five months sleeping either in a police precing or a crowded city shelter in the now brutally cold Windy City. He's also been unable to secure a job permit or enroll his daughter in a local high school. Let all this sink in two of the main reasons things they thought would bring a better life in the

US. The American dream doesn't exist anymore. Stey Han told the paper on the eve of his family's departure. There's nothing here for us. We just want to be home, he told The Tribune of the South American Country. He earlier fled, if we're going to be sleeping in the streets here, we'd rather be sleeping in the streets over there. Now I was, he claimed. They claimed it's in the article somewhere. I got a break,

but they claimed political asylum. So, friends, if you claim asylum and you come here for a couple months and you think, man, this place isn't what I was told that it was, it's not what it used to be. You know, we came chanting Biden, which there are migrants headed towards the southern border chanting Biden as they head up to enter this country illegally.

But if you leave a country because you need political asylum only to go back, then, my friends, the asylum being sought was fraudulent to begin with. I understand why people want to come here, I do, I absolutely do. But the idea that everybody coming here is truly seeking some form of asylum, they're seeking an opportunity. And I don't blame someone for wanting that opportunity. I blame our government. I blame specifically this administration for not

enforcing the laws to prevent this. But I guess I never stopped to think. You know, I've said Biden is in favor of open borders, but maybe maybe Biden's open borders are going to be I guess, canceled out by biden economics, by biden Omics, by building back better, building back so much better that people that have come to this country have said, we've been sold to bill of goods. There is no such thing as the American dream

anymore. Let's go back to Venezuela, to socialist Venezuela. You cannot make this stuff up, my friends. Time out is in order. Back here in just a minute. Alcome back, my friends, Oz. Thank you for the hot drink here to help keep the vocals clear today. We got to keep giving the people what they want, which is my voice. Right. So anyway, I'm going to go back to this, this article of this family who basically is saying that they came here, they came here and

they basically saw the American dream isn't a thing anymore. They came to this country hoping to have the American dream, but that was effectively not reality. And I referenced this before the break. I just wanted to double check before I really pounded this point New York Post again, this in the stack of

stuff for today. Fed Up with the lack of housing and job opportunities, Castejan eventually followed in the footsteps of other disillusioned asylum seekers asylum seekers and turned to Catholic charities to obtain plane tickets for his family to travel to Texas. From there, they will somehow find a way to return to the to their native Venezuela. So he's going back, according to reports. But they were asylum seekers. Friends, What are we told about this issue of asylum?

We're told a couple things, and these things are not true. First and foremost, First and foremost, in order for someone to be legitimately seeking asylum, they are supposed to go to the first and nearest country that provides safety for them. How many countries, incidentally, does someone have to cross through if they're coming from Venezuela. I don't have the count in front of me, but there's quite a few, maybe OZ can look at that, quite

a few countries. So they're not fleeing Venezuela for asylum reasons. Now some are look, he's going back. You don't come to a country seeking asylum, come here for five months, and then say, man, this place sucks. I'm to go back home to socialist Venezuela. Biden's America, my friends, is apparently, according to this guy's opinion, is not competitive with socialist Venezuela. Let that sink in for a moment. You have a whole

political party, you have a certain percentage of people in this country. You have the media who are trying to give you reasons as to why Biden is a good president, why Biden is better than Trump. And we literally have people, literally have people, at least this guy and his family who have come here and who have said, in no way, man, things are better in Venezuela. I made the track from Venezuela to the United States with my family god here, realized that this is not the place that we thought

it was. I want to go back to Venezuela. Incidentally, in the process, I claimed asylum for a country that I was prepared to go back to five months later. So that's not legit either. The point is everything we're told you know when it is a lie, when when you have people that have violated your trust, eight states, eight countries, excuse me,

Oz counts eight countries between. That's not counting Venezuela, right, you're counting eight other countries that they walk Oz is counting here, there's seven, she kind of I don't why would you count Venezuela's Yeah, but we're saying how many you as? Okay, seven countries? Seven countries to get that you go through seven countries. I'm deferring to Osra. I'm not looked at this, but seven countries that you pass through to get to the United States if

coming from Venezuela. None of those countries apparently provided asylum. It's all it's folks, I get it. I'm a human being. I know that this country is still the greatest place on the earth. But we have people that are help bent on remaking in into something that it's not. We have people that are helpent onto making it like the countries that these folks are fleeing, so much so that at least this family says it was better where we came

from. Send us back. I don't want anything to do with this place. Biden is turning this place. The Left's policies are turning it. Maybe they don't see it in that light, but that's precisely what's happening. It's precisely what's happening. You either have friends, you either have a country that respects the individual and liberty, or you have status. I mean, that's really what it comes down to. All these other flavors of government is really

how much do we trust the individual? You can you can different, you know, different lipstick on the pig, as Sarah Palin would say, but it's all the same thing. It's do you have a country that respects the individual or do you have a country that's moving towards state centralized control like Venezuela.

And if you look, there's just no doubt, there is no doubt that this country is moving from liberty, has moved from a nation of liberty towards a nation that has more and more centralized government control, which is where the vast majority of our problems come from. Make no mistake, what's happening against Trump is happening is rooted in the fact that we have a government that is well outside the confines that have been established for it to operate within by

the Constitution of the United States of America. It's the reason we have inflation out that's out of control. Inflation is government spending money it doesn't have and then telling the printing presses effectively, or the people that press the budget the button that create currency out of thin air, to just get into hyperdrive and to create money out of thin air. That's where inflation comes from. That's the government's problem, open border, federal government's problem. It's our problem,

but it's been created by these folks. The problems that we face around the world. It's a lesson in the reality of the truth that American weakness is what is truly provocative around the world. On and on we go, my friends, so much so that people immigrating here claiming asylum. In this case, I would say falsely claiming asylum if you can leave five months later and say, I would just want to go home, forget this, forget this

ruse. I want to head back home. This country is being destroyed from the inside, plain and simple, my friends, quick time out is in order. You're listening here to conservative not better talk. I am your host, who, by the way, still has great hope in this country, not because of our politicians, but because of the people. The people are waking up, the people are realizing the truth. The people have had it quick time out my friends back in a minute. Welcome back to my friends.

If you are in charge, maybe you're a salesperson, maybe you're a sales manager at your business, maybe you're a business owner. Maybe you're just someone on the executive team, and you're making plans for the twenty twenty four Well in the twenty twenty four year calendar year is quickly approaching us or in the next six weeks or so, and you realize that, hey, this is the year that we need to really make a concerted effort to grow and

build our sales team. We're looking for a few more advertaris. Sorry about that, my friends, the commercial break if you're looking for that, If you are having those needs, I encourage you to consider reaching out to my friend Crispin Cruise at sales arbiter dot com. Crispin helps our sales team. He's been working with us I think since April. So here we are what is that made June July six months six months now. Crispin's been helping our

sales team. As we grow and continue to move in that direction, We've needed people to come in and to help with some of the things that I had to You know I started this thing in the closet all these years ago. We had to do everything. So Crispin has helped not just provide training,

which is valuable. He's provided the one on one coaching, some management, some case by case application, and a certain certain situation where a salesperson might need help with a prospect or a proposal or how to handle something.

Crispin steps in and helps with that. He can help improve your sales production, shorten that sales cycle, help you scale the sales team, help you build out right, build out upon that team, helping you to find some key leaders to help with the process of continuing to manage that sales team as things continue to grow. So if you need those things, if you're in that sort of situation, I encourage you to reach out to sales arbiter dot com. Sales arbiter dot com is the place you can find that, or

you can call Crispin and his team directly. Six seven, eight, two five one nine one four one makes no difference by the way, where you are in this country. They can help. So let's get back to these issues of the day. I wanted to make sure I mentioned a couple of other things as well, number one, I want to make sure that I mentioned because I think this is a good move. Some people don't like this, I again would disagree. I do disagree with those that don't like this.

Speaker. Mike Johnson has come out and has on the record endorsed President Donald excuse me, well, guess candidate now Donald Trump for the Republican Party's nomination and of course for president of the United States in twenty twenty four. Again, I never thought I never thought that I would be endorsing when I started this show during the primary process. But I think the stage is set

in such a way that there is one obvious choice. It doesn't mean that everyone else running should not be considered for anything at any other point in time in the future. But it is absolutely and abundantly clear what we are dealing with and the problems that DC is facing, the problems of the swamp, the deep state, whatever you want to call it. It is an absolute, inexcusable mess. When he Trump hit the ground running, and that's what

Mike Johnson has basically said. So a lot of folks don't like that, especially since we're in a primary process. You've got this new speaker, what's this guy choosing sides for this point, I actually think it's a good thing. I think, my friends, if we're gonna save this country, we're gonna have to have a series of people that know how to understand the problems of DC and are prepared to fight it quick time out my friends back in just a minute. Yes, I know, I know, I know.

I haven't had time and I don't have time to play that clip from Senator Mullen where he challenged the president of Teamsters the Teams re Union to go fight. But that's on the stack of Stuff page at Toddhoff Show dot com. I do want to mention here in the seconds, and it's truly seconds I have remaining. Did you see what Megan rapid now said She got injured in her last Was it her last game or last season? I don't even know.
