Attention. You're listening to the Todd Huff radio show, America's home for conservative not Bitter talk radio. Be advised. The content of this program has been documented to prevent and even cure liberalism, and listening may cause you to lean to the right. Here's your Conservative but not Bitter host, Todd Huff.
Well, my friends, I want you to remember. I want you to remember the next time you encounter somebody who tells you that Republicans are more fiscally irresponsible than the Democrats, I want you to remind them that it is the Biden administration and the radical left the Democrat Party running Washington, DC, the Senate. They are the ones that essentially want a blank check to run the federal government. That's what they want. They want to continually raise the debt
limit. They do not want to cut any expenses whatsoever. And I think that, depending upon which circles they're in, that there may be multiple reasons for that. But one of those reasons is that there is a group of people. I know that this sounds to some you don't want to accept us. I didn't want to accept us twenty years ago when I was first kind
of being led through this by the late Great Rush Limball. But folks, there are people that hate this country, that are in positions of political power in this country, and they know that by bringing this country to its knees, breaking the system, that they have the best opportunity to remake this country in the image that they want, which of course is the morally bankrupt, morally bankrupt system that is comprised of some combination of well, it's all the
same basic things. It's the growing the size of government, increasing the power of the elected, increasing their wealth, giving them opportunities we'll talk about this today too, Hunter Biden, to have opportunities to where you could allegedly sell access to those in positions of power to personally enrich both yourself and your family. That certainly is where this whole Hunter Biden laptop from health scandal is headed, which we're already there for those of us that have followed it, but
it's moving that way in Washington, DC as well. But just remember that. And I just want to talk briefly on the debt ceiling. And I know we pause, let me pause. We jumped in quickly this morning today. Whenever you're listening, I'm always I always say at the beginning. You can email me, connect, share your thoughts and join the conversation. Thoughts, questions, feedback, adoration and praise. And those questions, my friend,
they can range, They can range. They can be you know, things that you wanted to know politically, maybe from a historical perspective, which we talked about one of those questions on yesterday's program. Briefly, I didn't have a ton of time, but we touched on that, and then it could also be things you know I've shared some of you think too much, and that's I don't mean to be over the top, but I do share my belief in God. I think it's critically important to be quite quite candid,
especially when we're having a fight ultimately over worldview and culture. This this is no, this is not political. It hasn't been political for some time. This is it's it's being. The battle is being waged in the political realm. But it is a dare I say, a battle of worldview and ideology, a battle of who the God is? Is God the government or is God a per personal God that you can choose to follow as an individual,
not through force and coercion of the folks in government. So if you have questions about things pertaining to biblical stuff, we'll take those as well. I know we have listeners with all sorts of interest and curiosities, and we've got some some folks that will help us do some researches if necessary, but
also just share our thoughts and opinions with you as well. So Todd at todhupshow dot com is that email address or three one seven two one zero twenty eight thirty three one seven two one zero twenty eight thirty You can actually text that or call and leave your voice on voicemail on the Huff hotline is what
we call that. Just make it count, Make it count, and make sure you always include the appropriate amount of adoration and praise, which, as I've said before, is about ten to fifteen percent more than what you might think is necessary. At the beginning of your message, just before you hit that send button, I would recommend adding about ten to fifteen percent more adoration in praise, and you, of course should be a okay getting by the
screeners here at our program. So I want to talk. I want to build off of what we mentioned at the beginning of the program, which is which is we've got this battle over the debt ceiling, Kevin McCarthy has effectively drawn a line in the sand and said, now, do I think that's a permanent line. I don't. I do not think that. But Biden has also drawn a line in the sand that said, look, we are not going to do any negotiation around anything other than just raising the government's ability
to spend more money and go more into debt. That's where Biden's line is. McCarthy's line is, we will negotiate or talk about raising the debt limit once again, but in exchange for that, we want to see hard, tangible cuts to government spending, which, by the way, is one hundred percent the way that this should be done. So the next time you're dealing with talking with the Democrat or a leftist or a liberal or whatever who wants to blame Republicans, and by the way, I'm gonna say, the Republican
Party bears a lot of responsibility for government spending. I'm not here to defend the Republican Party. The Republican Party in some ways I'm unoffendable, So I don't want to say offends me, but discuss me. Discuss me in more ways than the Democrat Party because I at least I know who the Democrat Party is. I know who they are. The Republican Party often pretends to be conservative but then doesn't follow through, and that is that's maddening. Now we're
in the world of hypocrites, right. That's hypocrite is someone who pretends to be something that he's not. The Democrats aren't pretending to be anything other than radical leftist today, So I at least respect them for their willingness to be so bold as to stand contradictory, to stand in contradiction. I should stay to common sense, logic, reason, the Constitution, and so forth. But this is what should be done. I hope McCarthy sticks to his guns.
But again, again, what happens traditionally is that Republicans know they're going to get blamed for this. They know they're going to get blamed for this. We're heading We're not in an election year, but we're heading into a presidential election cycle. In fact, I mentioned next this coming Tuesday, May the tenth, Trump is going to be on CNN at a having a town hall. These are things that I can't wait for. This I can't wait for this is next Tuesday, night having a town hall meeting. Now we're
seeing it. So we're in that cycle. And so the Republicans know that they're going to get blamed because Biden's coming in there and saying, we just need to raise it. You can't hold the the good faith and credit of the United States government hostage. You can't do this. We got to have
a clean bill that just says let's raise the debt limit. And McCarthy says, okay, fine, I'm not trying to default on anything, even though we were completely irresponsible as a nation for pledging ourselves to these tremendous amounts of obligations, expenses and all that. So McCarthy says, look, I'm willing to raise the debt limit, but we've got to start cutting expenses spending. Biden says absolutely not. Our Biden's handlers do. Biden's probably I don't know,
drunk stickman somewhere. I don't know what Biden's do. I'm kiddn't take it easy. But so we've got this, this this battle that's being it's being age. But the left, the Democrats will often say, well, Republicans increase the national debt. And there are instances where that is absolutely true. But you know, one of the things that bothers me in an argument is when say, for example, say, for example, you approach somebody
and you say, hey, you shouldn't have said that to me. Well, you said it to me last week, and I think, okay, let's just both both admit that neither one of us should have said it. Can we just agree that it was wrong whoever did it, and let's pledge to one another not to revisit that. Can we pledge to one another that we are going to both admit that that is not the right course of action, and we are going to steer clear of that so much as we possibly
can. Of course, I know that's living in a bit of a fantasy world when we're living when we're dealing with folks in Washington, d C. The bureaucratic state, the deep state, These po politicians who tell us their public servants they're there to sacrifice for the people and blah blah blah, when they're there to enrich themselves, empower themselves, promote themselves to the next position
of higher office, become an ambassador when they decide to retire. You know how the game has played, right books become millionaires after going in with maybe no money at all. We've seen this happen many times. Of course, Trump was the opposite of that. Trump went in with more money into DC than he came out with. But he's blamed. He's the one, the
one. This is crazy. He's the one example that they hold up that the media, the Democrats, even some Republicans hold up as the example of real corruption, as though it was never happening in Washington, DC before. But anyway, these problems that are going on right now regarding spending, the way McCarthy is posturing himself again, as I said yesterday, it's the right thing that he's doing. I don't know if it's principled or if it's I
don't want to go there, I really don't, but I do. I do understand that some people think it is just for for the posturing, for the points with the base. He's going to probably give in and so forth. I imagine that that's going to be where it ends up as well. I hope I'm wrong. I hope there are spending cuts. But again, the Democrats hold the White House, control of the white House, they have control of the Senate. Although what happens. If I'm you know, can
you swing at Joe Mansion? I don't. I don't think on something like this, but who knows. You might be able to create a scenario where he would have some pressure to pretend he was a Republican. That's oftentimes how Mansion gets himself elected and re elected. So there's the politics of this, but just politics aside, and just thinking about this from a rational, common
sense perspective. If your constantly having to only live off of debt, and basically your only argument is I'm going to increase it at infinitum, there's there gonna be no end to this because I guess this is what we think we owe the American people or whatever the argument is. At some point someone has to be the adult in the room and say, look, it doesn't even
take We just want to see some cuts. We're not asking at this point, although I think it would be great if we completely got rid of some of these departments Department of Education, for example, we're not even talking about that. Can you not find Can we not go department by department around this country federal government wise, and say can you not save and find a way to save one penny? Of every dollar that you spend. Is that not
a realistic expectation. That's what you have to do when you sit around the kitchen table with your husband or wife or just as a family. That's what you have to do. That's what your business has to do. That's how they calculate how many layoffs or whatever they have to do to financially survive a economy that's being created by leftists that know nothing other than destroying confidence in a market and adding burdensome regulations and taxes and bureaucracy. That's all that they know.
And it reeks havoc on the lives of individual people, as we talked about yesterday, and it also creates problems for businesses. And but but they don't think they have to do that. They don't think they have to do it. We have to suck it up. We have to quote pay our fair share, which is really whatever Biden decides that is. I mean, that's how that's portrayed. Pay your fair share, Pay your fair share. And then there's some massive numbers. Some people are paying in some states fifty
percent of their income. Is that not a fair share? I mean, for goodness sake, that's way past anyone's fair share. We have a spending problem in Washington, d C. We do not have a revenue generation problem. We have a spending problem and an inefficient government. We have a government that is doing things well outside the responsibilities outlined in the Constitution of the United
States. McCarthy is doing the right thing. I haven't been traditionally a McCarthy fan, but I've said throughout this whole thing, with his being speaker, I will support him when he's doing the right thing. I'm cautiously optimistic because he has. He has held the line. There's also been instances where he's not done what I wished he would have done, but that's such as life too. Certainly all better than the alternative of Nancy Pelosi or mister Jeffreies or
whoever the left would put up into this position. But anyway, this is exactly what needs to happen. And remember, the Republicans are the only group there, the only ones who are saying, will raise the debt limit so as not to create to shut down our ability to pay our debts or whatever.
But in return for that, all we're asking is that we begin to cut this back because if we're continually going to debt to simply survive as a country, to function as a country, and then know that this debt limit discussion is going to be something that's back on the agenda, however long they want to push it out, six months, nine months, twelve months. It's used as a political bargaining chip. Whatever happened to the actual budgeting process.
We're not even doing that anymore. We're just basically spending until we run out of money, and then we borrow more, and then we spend and then we borrow more. And the adults in the room say, hey, we're not trying to bring, you know, shut down our ability to pay our expenses, but we are saying, how about we cut the expenses so that we don't have to borrow as much, that we don't have to have this discussion as frequently. That is what an adult would do. By the
way, anyway, that's where we are. And remember that the next time that the left tells you that Republicans have caused more debt, have created more financial problems for our government, deficit spending and so forth, and Democrats just remember and Republicans have more some responsibility in the past, but the left acts as though there is a limitless credit card and it's called it, it's called
the American taxpayer. You are there, unlimited credit card, your business, your personal finances, maybe your four oh one KSE someday, get ready for that. You're equity in your home. Remember, some of these radical leftists want to take away this idea of private property ownership and just let your rent it. So they're gonna come in and I know it sounds crazy, but there are there are large circles of people and people like the World Economic Form
that are talking about these things openly. They want you to not own property, so though as confiscated, they'll confiscate whatever they want. But however they get the money. It's coming from you. That's that's the only pole. Or your kids, or your grandkids, or your great grandkids or your great great grandkids. This mess is so deep, the amount of money is so large that they're looking generationally into the future some people who are not even born
yet that are going to be responsible for these expenses. McCarthy is right, Democrats are wrong. I hope McCarthy stands stands by what needs to happen here. But again, well, they really risk a shutdown I don't know. We'll see a dead default, not you know, raising that debt limit. We'll see where this goes. I'm not hopeful on that, but he's at least taking the right position at this point. That said, I am at a point where I've got a good time out. My friends. You are
listening here to conservative not better talk. I should warn you, by the way, my vast, vast team of attorneys has told me that listening to this program causes people. It's documented by science. Ninety seven actually ninety eight percent scientists agree that listening to this program will cause you to lean to the right. So exercise extreme caution when operating heavy machinery, when driving a car, when I mean, doing any activity, just be aware that you can
in fact lean to the right. My friends, sit tight back in just a minute, my friends. By the way, I should mention Mother's Day is fast approaching. Mother's Day is actually next weekend May of the fourteenth, and I know that there are you know, it's an important holiday. It's mothers are. Mother's Day, I should say, is a just a very important holiday for all of us. I mean, we all oh ourselves to the people that who we are, to the individuals that were involved in raising
us, and it's an important holiday to celebrate. And I know different folks have different scenarios where maybe Mom wasn't in the picture, So I don't mean to create an issue there, but you know, many of us our mother was super instrumental, very loving and provided a lot of direction and insight and so forth. So that holiday is coming up, and maybe as you think about what to get Mom for Mother's Day, it depends on your relationship as to what you do there. But one of the things you can do is
maybe check out my pillow dot Com. There's some slippers and some sandals, other items there that maybe there's not just pillows, but there are other items there that may work for Mom for Mother's Day. You can shop there use discount code Todd t O D D Todd save up to eighty percent. My pillow dot com slash Todd is actually where you would go, and or you can buy some up for yourself. I mean, I don't really, it doesn't matter, but Mother's Day is approaching, and that might be that there
might be some things on there that are a good fit for Mom. Again, depending upon what you're looking for and in that relationship. But check it out my pillow dot com slash Todd use discount code todd to save up to eighty percent. So I want to shift gears here just a little bit. We've talked briefly about the debt limit stalemate and standoff and so forth. I want to talk about this briefly. I don't want to spend a whole lot of time on this today, but I do want to talk about this.
So the metaphorical news, I guess, is tightening around the Biden camp, well, the Biden presidency administration. We've got a whistleblower out there that has made the claim and that Joe Biden when he was Vice President of the United States was engaging in a pay to play scheme. And we've got some things. We've always got these stories on our Stack of Stuff page on the website.
Hat tip to the great Rush Limbaugh. But tantufshow dot com go to the Stack of Stuff if you want to read this, and you can you can see some of these things that I'm referencing. But Joe Biden is alleged to have I mean, we you know, at first with the Hunter Biden laptop, it was it was blown off it was. We were told that there was nothing there. This was just a bunch of jealous Republicans or you know, people who were trying to grasp at straws to prevent Biden from being
president of the United States. Then we were told by fifty one fifty one so called intelligence professionals who apparently knew less about what Russian disinformation was than a talk show host named Todd huff And of course the millions of people in this country that have sinse who knew that was not a Russian disinformation story. That was an actual, real story that we were just learning about. This was the story that was censored. It was marine of divine story that was censored
on social media. She wasn't allowed, well, no one was really allowed to share it, post it and all that, and they censored it. And then they had intelligence officials coming out and saying, this has all the hallmarks of Russian disinformation. You can't believe this story, blah blah blah. Well, turns out all that is not actually rooted in reality whatsoever. This is a real laptop. These are real messages and emails. They've been validated
in many ways. And the more we uncover and find the more damning it is to Biden, to Hunter Biden, to Joe Biden, the Biden family, the more questions it raised, it raises. I should say, there's questions now if if Hunter Biden is on the verge of getting indicted himself, there's some new emails out there that are very problematic for Joe Biden that people can I mean, there's actual evidence, there is real evidence, there's real
evidence of a real problem. And dare I say crime if you're selling access to the President of the United States or vice president, I should say at the time, if you're selling access personally, enriching yourself and getting favors, that's of course bad for Joe Biden and the family, but more important, that's terrible for this country. We shouldn't have any person in power, political power that's doing those sorts of things. Yet there is evidence of that.
Now, these are just a ledged crimes. These are whistleblower claims and emails and so forth. Everyone should have their their day in court. But what shouldn't happen is these things be swept under the rug. What shouldn't happen are you know when there are stories that are released published about these things. They shouldn't be treated as though they're Russian propaganda. I mean, that is so old and boring and predictable and stupid. I don't even know what else to
say about that. It's so patently absurd. The whole Russian collusion delusion was insane from day number one. It absolutely was the things we were supposed to believe about that you've heard me say it on this program before. We were supposed to believe that. Trump called up Vladimir Putin and got help from a team of social media media experts, advertising experts. They came up with a campaign to help trick Hillary Clinton voters into voting for Trump by using disinformation on
social media platforms and channels, including things like Pokemon Go. And we were told that they were tricked by an ad campaign. This was This was the conspiracy. This was the collusion. That's not the last step. That's never the last step of a master plan is never an ad campaign. The last step of a master plan is we will still votes like this, we will hack data like that, we will you know, do something that you actually have direct control over. You don't say the last step and our master plan
is an AD campaign. I mean There are AD campaigns that were researched and studied much throughout history that were complete busts. I mean, I'm reminded of New Cooke and they did research on this that flopped pathetically. There's many examples of those sorts of things, and we're supposed to believe the entire thing, the entire climax of the Russian collusion delusion, was an AD campaign. This
is ridiculous. I used to work for a small agency and that I mean, you know, we did our best to help folks with whatever campaigns or projects we were working on, but we never you know, I guess risk or risk everything to say this is this is how we're going to you know, we're putting everything on this particular outcome of this campaign. This is going to be the end of the master plan. I mean, marketing is testing, measuring, and refining. That's what the good folks at JARBO used to
teach me. And this is this is where this is. It never made any sense. But now this time we've got actual emails with actual evidence of actual problems, crimes, things that are definitely impeachable. Right, So there's a whole litany of things that you can actually point to and you can say this email indicates this, and this is why that's a problem, versus what they told us to believe about Trump, which was all this stuff was culminated
with an ad campaign. It's just stupid. It's again, I'm unoffendable, but it's offensive to the intelligence of the average American to think that that is how that actually worked. In reality, the way that it works, a way that true collusion and corruption works would be something like what appears to be found on Hunter Biden's laptop, pretending to the Biden family, including Hunter and potentially as father, former Vice president and current President Joe Biden. Now these
are allegations. I'm not saying it definitively, but I am saying that this is much more likely. This is much more likely the case of how an actual act of criminality or using a pay to play scandal, or being corrupt in office looks versus calling out Putin to have him help you with an ad campaign. Anyhow, I just want to let you know about that as well. You've probably heard this, but the metaphorical NEOs is tightening on this on
this administration. It is some of the stuff there that I've talked about is in our stack of stuff on the website to show dot com, so timeouts in order. When we get back, I want to shift gears just a little bit again and talk about some of the ways that the left actually engages an argument and some of the just kind of I think it's important to understand because it's much different than how a fair minded, rational, reasonable person,
conservative person deals with with that sort of thing. I've seen it a lot lately. I want to talk about it, and we'll do that on the other side of the break. My friends, sit, you're listening to conservative not bitter talk. I'm your host, Todd Huff Back in just a minute.
Welcome back, my friends. We've all heard arguments or we've seen videos of radical leftists I don't know, a protests or at marches, or we've seen their signs, their t shirts, all of these things, and we've we know we're dealing with a different type of approach at best, because it's it's totally devoid of logic and it is completely engulfed in rage and anger. And I'm I'm thinking about a couple of videos I've seen, and I watch some folks who are pro members of the pro life community, or as one
individual is looking to be what he calls an abortion abolitionist. And I watched their encounters with people on the street, and it's amazing. It's amazing the number of people that are just it is. It is truly an emotional reaction. There is no logic, there is no desire to engage in debate. There's a lot of name calling, flipping people off, a lot of saying
very inappropriate phrases to individuals, anger, rage, and the like. And when these folks ask thought provoking questions, the other these these leftists just erupt because there's a saying that I learned years ago, and I think, I think it it's something that's pretty much universally true, but it's also something that I think helps understand them. Say, the mind of the of the leftist, but it's really the emotion of the leftist. And that saying is the
heart excume the mind will justify with the heart desires. So, in other words, it is a It starts with the emotion I want X, and so my mind has to come up with any number of explanations, or more more commonly, more correctly, the left's mind has to be used. Then as a tool to help come up with a series of excuses, convoluted logic,
whatever it takes to defend what they want. And that is critically important to understand because that I think if you understand that, you understand where the left comes from, and I think ultimately what the radical left and this is, this is a I define this very specifically. We're talking about people they're not They're not just liberal Democrats. They're not rank and file Democrats. They're
not blue dog Democrats. These are people that hate America as founded. They typically flock to the Democrat Party, but it is certainly not all Democrats. It's a it's a small portion of Democrats. However, they have, they have people in positions of power, they have taken over the Democrat Party, not in terms of the number of people that are actually casting well, it ends up working that way that people are voting for these folks, these radical
leftists on the Democrat side. But they don't openly come out and say things like I hate America. They don't actively come out and say I want to remake America as a socialist or whatever term they want to use, democratic socialists if it makes them feel better. One of those types of nations. They want to get rid of free market capitalism, they want to get rid of private property ownership. They really want to get rid of entire Western civilization as
we know it. They are enemies of Western civilization. They are enemies of Judean Christian principles. They are enemies of God and the Bible. They are they don't like the concept of truth. They really want a scenario in the world where they can do whatever they want with any without any sort of consequence. I actually think they're hypersensitive to the conscience, to the conviction that God
placed within all of us through our conscience. I think that they are convicted, and they know they know what they are promoting is not good, but they cannot stand they cannot stand hearing something externally coming from another person that is echoed from deep within themselves as well. Meaning if I or you or anyone is to say that is an immoral behavior or that is wrong, they know
it deep down. They've suppressed it, they've ignored it. They've tried again to justify it with their mind, but they they're not going to admit it because they want it. They don't care ultimately about you know, whether it's right or wrong. They don't want to fill the guilt and the shame and on whatever else associated with this, and so it's a highly emotional state.
They know logically that they're in direct opposition I would say, to their God, to the creator of this universe, and to all things moral and good, but they don't care. And so they really want to eradicate that way of thinking from society. They really want to shove all these these immoral principles down the metaphorical throats of the American people. And they want to do it in such a way to where it just overwhelms the senses of everybody involved.
Or they intimidate people from speaking out. They make it illegal to speak out if they can. That's where they really get interested in remaking this country because they don't like free speech. Because and they don't like freedom of religion really. I mean, they'll act like it sometimes, but they just they don't. They don't like the concept of religion. They think religion should not even
be allowed. Yeah you can, maybe you can go somewhere on a Sunday, but don't talk about it on Monday, don't talk about it at work, don't share it in the marketplace. That's what they think, that's what they want, that's who they are, that's the side that they have chosen. Now that doesn't mean that that's an forever choice. It can mean that
it's a forever choice. And I'm not saying to give up on these folks, but I think we need to understand who they are, how they argue, how they fight, and why it is so deeply rooted in their hearts and minds. So I can take a break, come back, and I'll
say a few more words about this. I don't have a ton of time today, but these are the sorts of things I really like to think about and talk about, because these are the things that help us understand and who our political opponents aren't and who the the the political not as political, but those who are really at the on the front lines of the cultural, spiritual
worldview battle that's being waged in this country. When we say we are in a cold civil war, it is between people who've accepted accepted Western cultures day and Christian principles. What have you against the people that I've just described. So timeouts in order come back say a few more words about this. In the time we have remaining together, my friends sit tight back into the minutem.
Welcome back, my friends. Just going through the typical ways that the radical, insane, enraged leftist likes to engage in quote unquote debate today, and basically what ends up happening is we have a situation, like a transgender situation, or maybe some well autistick with transgender for now, something that everyone sees as an obvious problem, something that we're being force fed culturally through organized
repetitive force to accept virtually overnight. Everybody sees that there's a clear problem to this, or there's a moral issue, it's morally wrong whatever. In this particular case, forcing say the trans agenda on kids, getting them to question they're biological or gender makeup. I guess at young ages, and it's clear that there's a problem here. Deep down, I think everybody knows that this is wrong, and that again they will justify. The mind will justify with
the heart desires. That's what happens. And so what happens after that is there's an engagement in sophistry. There's personal attacks, there's at hominem attacks, there's sometimes all out bullying, verbal assault, intimidation. But the question is what are we going to do about it? What's the right response. The right response is certainly not to capitulate to this stuff. The right response is to stand up in the fight. I'm not saying physically. I'm saying to
make sure that we win these arguments and that truth prevails. But this is what happens. This is a little bit of I guess, an understanding of how they get to that point. But they do not like truth. They do not They do not like this country. They do not like the moral code that is written into the hearts of humanity, and they will scream and call you names and everything else because of it. Simply out of time here, my friends, sit tight back in just a minute, back my friends,
simply out of time here today. But I will say this, I will say this, while we have a posing forces out there that I mean, they're not playing games. They're not playing games at all. They are serious. They are prepared to engage in ways that the average conservative, I don't think is the average normal person is not. They're prepared to go in the gutter, call you names, you name it. But remember this, remember this that you have truth on your side. We have the light of
truth. And the light of truth dispels darkness. And that's what we need more than anything in this country today, is more light to shine. I'm reminded of the biblical passage that says, let your light shine before men, talking to the followers of Jesus, let your light shine.
