Well, greetings, my friends. You have tuned in here to America's home for conservative not bitter Talk. I am your host, Todd Huff. I
hope you had a great weekend. Email Should you want to be part of the conversation Todd at Tothoffshow dot com. Three one seven two one zero twenty eight point thirty is how you can get us by text and again, it's good to be here this and we're moving quickly through through the month of February. Here I will tell you that we are in this week, and we are in next week. I will be out, I know, just go
ahead and get the sobbing out. I will be out of town the week of February what is that twenty sixth, So we'll have some guest hosts filling in that week. I think it'll be an interesting group of hosts filling in Chris Dunham will be here, which I know many of you have heard Christian and I have. Well, he's filled in for me for a long long
time Senator John Crane here from the state of Indiana. And the first time guest host, Gary Varvill, who I've interviewed on when we had our television show, but first time I've handed over the reins of the microphone to Gary, who I'm sure we'll do a good job. Gary is a syndicated cartoonist and has some really good work. So we'll be filling in, or they will be filling in, I should say here in a couple of weeks, but that's not that's just a couple weeks out. I just wanted to kind
of set the stage here as I'm thinking about the month of February. Let's talk about where we are in the political cycle. The political cycle is, of course where now we're now starting to pick up momentum as we get into the primary, further into the primary. Trump is of course, Trump is of course the I mean, we have to assume that he is going to be the nominee. I think no matter what we've said this consistently, it's
a foregone conclusion. I don't know why Nicki Haley's still even running, but she's still on the ballot, even though she's getting beaten by literally nobody. People prefer the name No One or no one else on this ballot to Nicki Haley two to one, which is remarkable in the state of Nevada. So, but there's a lot of developments here as we begin to pick up speed. Right We've gotten through the Iowa caucuses, We've gotten through the New Hampshire
primary. We've gotten through the Nevada primary, which again was really just a formality because that's not where the delegates were awarded. Those were awarded to the to the caucus winner. So we're through that. Now we've got I mean, South Carolina Super Tuesday is not that far off. I mean, we are really starting to catch you know, we're halfway through the first quarter of twenty twenty four. By the way, talking about the first quarter here,
I just want to touch on this. I don't want to go back into this in great detail. We've talked about these sorts of things, not this particular headline, but we've talked about the border in great detail in the past weeks. Here's a headline just thenews dot com. Highest number of apprehensions in US history. That's right, my friend's, highest number of apprehensions in US history at the southwest border in the first quarter of fiscal year twenty twenty four.
They totaled seven hundred eighty five thousand and four one hundred twenty two greater than the individual population of three states, Wyoming, Vermont, and Alaska. Just let that sink in for a moment. But again, I don't want to get into that. I'm just saying that these are all the issues. We're gonna begin to hear more about this as we get into campaign sees. You're gonna hear more about it from Trump, You're gonna hear more about it
from voters. You're gonna hear Biden. Eventually, he's gonna have to he's gonna have to do something about this, and he's trying to make it look like he's doing something. Sorry the throat, I'm fine. I just have this cough. That's I tell you, what's the second time I've had at this this winter. Not very happy about it, But what do you do? So that's going on out there as as well. But let's start. Let's start here by looking at this conversation, it's becoming more and more serious.
The conversation within the Democrat Party piece here at townhall dot com over over the weekend. On Saturday, headline is as follows, are Democrats taking a Biden replacement more seriously? Now? Now I know, I know because I've heard from you. I pay attention. Some of you have thought this for a long time. Some of you have thought. In fact, I remember
hearing from one of you, one in ptenicular. I mean, I've heard from many of you on this, but one in particular said it was going to be Labor Day, Labor Day of twenty twenty three, they were going to replace replace Biden. That was his last day. You know, I've always been open to this, but I've also always been I don't know a little bit, a little bit more what bearish on this, because again, the reality is the reality is that there is there is no good option for
the Democrat Party. Now there is if you look at the Democrat candidates and you look at just what their impact would be on the United States if they were president, and you could take any number of you know of a list of people here from Biden to Kamala to Pocahontas, which again I can say because I'm documented to be the thirteenth great grandson of Pocahontas and have established myself
as the self appointed spokesperson of the family. You can look at Pete boot Edge Edge, you could look at Gavin Newsom, you could look at I mean, who else we got out there. Michelle Obama is the one that they really really want. Maybe Oprah, they would go for Oprah as well. But you start looking at these candidates and the truth is they have they have nobody. They have nobody that they can even use to kind of manipulate or uh that's that they can use to kind of create a narrative that we
can all get around to, you know, to support. Of course I wouldn't and you wouldn't. But this is what they look at. They look at who's who's got the story, Who's got the identity politics side of it? You know, who's the right gender, the right race. How can they promote that? How can they make it about anything besides what you are
experiencing in your life as an American, especially economically. I would throw in I would throw in the border security issue as well, and you look at this and they think and the average person unless you distract them with something that is not really relevant to the political race. They have no candidates, even with Joe Biden. And I'm not here to say that Joe Biden is the best candidate on paper, but what I am saying is that they have no
viable backup. The only one and it sounds like they are completely just begging her to run is Michelle Obama. And again maybe like an Oprah, an Oprah Winfrey, that's these are the choices. And so the reality is all those people are bad for America now, whether the Democrat Party thinks that they can use them, the trick Americans into voting for them because of some superficial issue because Oprah, you know, had a talk show and you had this
bond with people, whether Michelle Obama, you know, Michelle Obama. When your first lady's first lady, my friends, you know, there's there's not a lot you can avoid a lot of negative press because you're not really in the well unless you're Millennia Trump because again demonization by association there, but normally first ladies are you know, there's not a lot of negativity. They're out there promoting you know, reading in schools, or they're they're they've got some
some project that is not very controversial. It's something that everybody can kind of get behind. It's one of these feel good sorts of things. People care about what they wear, how they decorated the White House for Christmas or whatever else, right, and so that's typically how that how that sets up. And so it's it's hard. It's Michelle pol Obama is liked by a lot of people because she's never really had to come out, and she has on
some occasion, I don't want to say that she hasn't. And for those of us that follow it, we know which side of the issue she's she's going to be on. For the Americans that only care about the cult personality, for the Americans that only care about the identity, the gender, the race, the sexual preference slash orientation, whatever, For the people that care about that more than they care about issues, which is just maddening and dumbfounding
to me. But those are the people that can be that can be swayed. And there's more of those people than I care to admit. But there's a lot of people who would say I would vote for her because she seems nice and everything else. And I you know, I can I can understand. It's it's crazy, but I can understand why the Democrats think, Man, we can get a candidate potentially that just you know, people people want to support. That's a powerful start point. They don't have that anymore with
Biden, even if people wanted to support Biden. And I'm saying this, I'm removing myself. I'm trying to be as unbiased and just straightforward as I can here without my own opinions. But I think the truth of the matter is they've lost whatever they've had with that right and the reality is that this guy they're now questioning. They the media, it's being questioned everywhere now whether
or not he's even mentally fit. It's being asked within the party. And so some people, some people are of the opinion that Michelle Obama is going to be ushered in here, that's a possibility. Beyond that, I don't know who they turned to. There's another piece in the stack of stuff talking about Kamala Harris, and the piece is basically this is really super summarizing it here, because there's of course more to it, but this this piece effectively
said that Kamala Harris is well. Tom Cotton is who tweeted this out. Tom Cotton said, let's call it like it is. Kamala Harris was chosen because she's twenty fifth Amendment insurance, basically saying, the Biden administration picked the vice president that nobody likes, which no one does like Kamala Harris. I mean, her approval ratings are less lower than lower than Biden's. It's at thirty five and a half, I think, is what we saw. And
remember, she's behind the scenes. She's not doing anything. I mean, I know she's supposed to be down there trying to figure out why people from poor and oppressive countries want to come to the United States of America. I'm still waiting on that report. It's going to take her years to figure it
out. That mind boggling piece of trivia. But she can't understand why people are fleeing these places that are run by corrupt politicians, where there aren't there isn't as much opportunity, where there is poverty and crime and things that are not pleasant. And Kamala is still trying to figure that out as to why they would want to come here, and you know, to the left,
that makes sense, because they hate this country. You would have to That's not even enough reason for many leftists to understand why someone would flee a country. They need more than that. They got to dig deeper, They got to have some expert explain it even more clearly, because they have a fundamental hatred of this country as it was founded, as it is constitutionally built.
But she's you know again, people are saying that she provides him insulation because now if something's done with Biden, right, there's a reluctance because now if he's removed from from office, or if they talk him into resigning, or if they say, hey, it's clear that this guy's not capable, let's now actually implement the twenty fifth Amendment here. If they do something like that, she is the choice. She's the de facto choice. She is the
vice president. Now, whether someone else is running for reelection, that's another issue to be had, but she's she's the person. This term, my friends, this term doesn't end until January till about a year from now, right, So she's so there's all these things that are going on out there, and I think, I think now I think now, and you've you've noticed that I've been I may have hinted at this, I've talked about this
on occasion, but I think now the conversations are getting quite serious. I think that now, and I've I've been again reluctant about this all along. In fact, I even remember, I think I believe Rush before he passed that he thought that Biden wouldn't even finish his first term. I never got to that point. I never got to that point. Now I understand why people did, because surely, to heaven, if we would have predicted the
things that we're seeing happen in this administration on a daily basis. And I'm not even just talking the absolute abject failures of the administration. I mean just Biden trying to put together a sentence. I mean, it is undeniable at this point, it is absolutely undeniable. But where do they turn? But where do they turn? Remember the card that they played in twenty twenty and they tried to plan twenty sixteen, which is Trump is dangerous Trump. We
got to stir up hatred and fear for this man was so much. It's going to be so much worse under Trump than it is under Biden. Now the problem is they've got three years, three years of human experience, three years that we've all experienced under the Biden regime that are demonstrably worse in every measurable way than they were under Trump. And so you lose that edge and
all. So there's people out there who, again I point to Michael Rappaport, I'm the guy is radical leftists, he's deranged, and he's vulgar to the nth degree. But the guy is on the verge of saying he's voting for Trump. And there's others as well. And I'm telling you the open borders issue, what's happened here with illegal immigration, how this has hurt cities. In fact, I saw that the city of Denver that's in the stack of stuff as well, Denver is going to be cutting services because of the
cost of illegal immigration. I saw that the state of New York is now giving out giving out welfare benefits to at least some illegal aliens. I mean, this is unsustainable. This is this is what happens though. You know, when you take an ideology like leftism, the leftist ideology, the leftist worldview, and you put it into practice and to take it out of the
classroom. Now you got to take it out of the world of pontification and just this little, nice, neat little scenario, this utopia you can create when dealing with things purely in academia and when you let it work on its own in the real world. This is what we get. We get inflation that's going out the wazoo. In fact, it's a piece on that in the stack of stuff toddefshow dot Com. Inflation isn't really as dead as the
creators of the narrative wants you to believe. Inflation still has a bigger impact on things than the Left wants to admit. Because now we're in an election year anyway, It's a mess. It's a mess out there. The Left is now I think, having real serious I think it's it's always been an issue, but now they are in panic mode. Now they know they've got RFK Junior out there saying that he wants to debate Biden to see if to
demonstrate his mental acuity. Basically, I mean, it is collapsing everywhere around them. There is nowhere left to hide. There is nowhere left to hide, right, I mean, this is the sitting president of the United States. His calendar is hardly full of anything because the guy is just not capable. He is just not the one running the show there. He simply is not. Which is another issue, a whole nother issue all of its own.
Why should we have someone running this country who's not even duly elected by the people. Meaning I'm not even talking about election and inference. I'm talking about the person that we elected is really just showing up to give a speech here or there, to read from the teleprompter, to go up and stand at a podium every now and again, saying as little as possible, because they know the more he's out there, the more it exposes that the key
the emperor has no clothes. I mean, this is really that scenario. They talk like it's Trump, they the radical left and the media, but Biden's the one that's up there basically buck naked metaphorically. I don't want to put any imagery in your mind, but he's the one. The emperor has no clothes, and no one's wanting, well, we are, But no one in the mainstream even wants to acknowledge that this is a thing. But the people clearly see it. They clearly see it and there's just no place
to hide. So anyway, timeouts in order. I got a SoundBite I want to play as we get into this program today. I got some other things that I want to hit on, but I want to start by talking about PBS being upset about this her report that talks about Biden's age. They're really upset about this went really long, this segment. I know, I know, sit tight. My friend's back here in just a minute. Welcome back, my friends. So have you heard any You probably have. This
happened late last week. This is I'm looking here at m let's see NewsBusters dot org and always in the stack of stuff here headline of this piece over the line. PBS condemns gratuitous her report on Biden's age. Washington Post associate editor Jonathan KPart and New York Times columnist David Brooks. That's right, the one who was hat tip to the late great Rush Limball, the one who was impressed by Obama because of the crease in his pants. That's right.
David Brooks themselves joined PBS News Hour host Omninawaz on Friday to recap the week's biggest stories, including special counsel Robert Herr's report that claimed he could not win a conviction in President Joe Biden's classified documents case because a jury would view him as a sympathetic old man with memory problems. For both men, but especially
Kate part the report was both terrific but also gratuitous. So basically, if you remember, if you remember, we have we have dueling classified documents cases. We have the one with Trump where they sent the FBI in tomorrow Lago basically kicked in the doors. I'm using a little bit of hyperbole here, but you know what I mean. They secured these, They acted like Trump was about to cause the downfall of American and so forth. Biden has some
doc by the way, Trump was president, Biden was not president. Biden is president now, but Biden was not president dating back to the time that he had classified documents in his garage next to his classic corvette. In fact, I've said on this program, that's what Biden wants you to know. He wants you to know, Hey, the reason those documents were safe was not because he cares about national security. That he cares about that he you
know, shouldn't even have had those in his possession to begin with. No no, No, they were in there with this classic Corvette. And there's nowhere safer for those documents to be than when with Biden's classified or excuse me, classic corvette classified docs with a classic Corvette. So Biden says, don't worry, it's in there with my classic car. I love that car.
Everything's fine, and there's pictures. They've released pictures. You can see final cabinets open and documents just you know, it's it's they're not just nicely stored or anything. I mean, it's it's I've seen a lot worse, but it's not. They're open drawers and stuff. So this is, of course
you're comparing and contrasting. Why is Trump basically basically being charged to some villain and Biden here is being excused more or less because well, as this report says, as the report says, the jury would view him as a sympathetic old man with memory problems. So they didn't want to go after Biden for obvious reasons. So they said, well, let's explain why we're not. And the reason we're not is because just seems like this sympathetic old man doesn't
know what's going on, has memory problems. President of the United States a big deal. You know, I just can't get I can't get people to convict over that. A jury's not a jury's going to be way too sympathetic for this old guy. I mean, unless I guess we start showing pictures of him sniffing hair of eight year olds and women that are married as congressman and so forth. But nonetheless, this is the narrative of the storyline,
the argument here as to why Biden should not be pursued. I'll leave that bee for a moment, but I want to I want to play this exchange because it's almost like they're damned if they do, damned if they don't. The left, did you know, they obviously did not want to see a recommendation that Biden should be prosecuted or whatever. In this particular case, he would not have would not have survived that like obviously Trump has. But they
also were not keen on the rationale and reason. So this report had to give a reason because it's pretty clear that, hey, if you're going to be consistent here Justice Department, you know these things. There's if you're going to be consistent, you should go after Biden too. In fact, you could probably make more case. You actually could make more of a case to
go after Biden. But that's not exactly the point here. The point is is that once they decided they weren't going to go after him, they had to give some sort of a reason, and the reason was Biden's just this old man who doesn't know what's going on. That's basically. So now they're
upset at that. Now the lefts like, wait a minute, it's great that you didn't go after the guy, but could you have I mean, just say something else, right, And and they're running out of excuses, They're running out of places to hide, they're running out of things that they can blame these circumstances on. You know, it's clear that Biden is on the inside of Washington, d C. Has been there for half a centuries, not some outside of it's being person acuted by the federal government by the
way that it operates, and so forth. This is a guy who they're protecting, and so they have to, in their minds, give some sort of a justification as to why they're not going after him. And so they basically say everything Trump's been saying, it's just this he's an old man with memory, problems, and the Left doesn't like that. So I want to play this SoundBite. I want you to listen to it. I'm gonna do it after the break though, because I've got to take a time out here.
Sit time my friends back in just a minute. Welcome back, my friends. I want to play this clip that I've referenced last segment, the PBS, David Brooks and the folks. They're a little bit a little bit upset at the way that Biden was I guess framed in this report as an old man with memory problems, which seems to be pretty clearer and straightforward to anyone who's paying attention. But we'll play that here in just a moment. But first, I'd like to tell you a little bit about my Pillow Slippers,

You might be able to get some expedited shipping. Maybe save somebody's hide out there. Anyway. So let's play a little bit of this SoundBite. The left is not happy. The media is not happy. They like that the that maiden was not pursued. I guess for the charges here, but they don't like the rational that's given.
So listen to this exchange on PBS We also know the Special Council chose to comment on Biden's memory function in that report, saying he had quote significant memory problems. He wrote this, mister Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well meaning elderly man with a poor memory. Jonathan, what did you make of that inclusion in the report? Does that on the face perhaps says it all?
But please? And that wasn't the only place where he talked about the talked about the president's age. I thought those reports, the apposed should be just the facts. That was gratuitous. A lot of the other ones were
gratuitous. We've spent way too much time talking about this president's age. And I'll say it again, when Ronald Reagan was the old person to ever be in the White House and to run for reelection, I don't recall a lot of people within his own party talking about the fact that we need to get another person. He's too old. And what's not what this is? Wait a minute, that is this? This is a straw man? No one, folks. Trump and Biden are close to the same age, right,
it's within a couple of years. This is not I understand. They want you to think it is. They want to conflate it. They want you to think that you are an agist if you are not for Biden. Why can't you just be for old people? Why do you hate old people? You don't want to vote for Biden because he's old. No, it has nothing to do with his age. The only thing it has to do with his age is how much his age has to do with his lack of being
mentally sharp to whatever degree that that is correlated with his age. And that's the degree it has to do with his age. But it wouldn't have anything to do with his age if he was out there sharp as attack like President
Trump is. I mean, people weren't saying people try to extrapolate from what's being said about Biden and apply it to Trump, but it is the left doesn't even really try to do this because they know if they make this the issue right, they want you, They want you to be ashamed to talk about Biden being incompetent. My friends, I think that we have a duty. I think that we have a duty. We're talking about the highest office in the land. We're talking about someone who is the commander in chief of
our military forces. We're talking about someone who executes, who rights, executive orders that can determine if the border is safe, whether or not terrorists are getting into this country, whether or not drugs and human trafficking are flowing freely, or whether we're trying to stop it. We're talking about someone whose policies impact what happens around the world. I've said for a long long time American
weakness is what is in fact provocative. Biden's weakness has provoked our enemies to levels we haven't seen since the last time some leftist or Democrat was in the White House. So I just it's it's not it's disingenuous to try to make this about his age. This is about his competency. And yes, yes, the competency of which we are speaking has a correlation with age. Not We all slow down physically and mentally as we age, but not at the same rate. And some people can still be very I mean, there are
people friends who are I admire some of them. Look at Warren Buffett, Warren Buffett or there's there's a number of these folks. Zig Ziggler did the same thing. Love zig Ziggler passed away not too many years ago. Was one guy that I listened to all the time was zig Ziggler. But the idea, the idea that it's just like, oh, he's at a certain age, therefore we say he's too old. No, it's all the other stuff happening. It's the other stuff that you don't want to talk about.
It's the stuff that you act like isn't happening. It's the stuff that you want to sweep under the rug, and then you want to put a little danger sign around it that says, if you bring this up, you're someone who hates old people. You know, when I was in Hawaii years ago, as I was saying this, I remember this, there was I saw a giant what he giant sea turtle that was on one of the beaches there. And as soon as that guy came out or I guess it was a
female, because I think she was. She was nesting. She lays on the sand, they bring out the people there at the beach brought out these like post these poles with like ropes around it, right like like don't go inside this lead the turtle alone, basically, And that's what I feel like here. I feel like Biden and Biden resembles that old turtle barely climbing out of the ocean, and then the turtle's there on the beach. But we're
not allowed to talk about it. You know. We rope it off, We put our kid gloves on, and this isn't look I'm not the one and we're not the ones that are out there exploiting this guy. If this guy is as bad or half as bad as people like I think, the people that are putting him up to this are exploiting him. He does not know what is going on the vast majority of the time. And I do
not take any pleasure in saying that. Whether he is someone who is politically on the other side, someone who I think is constitutionally on the wrong side of the issue, even dangerous to this country, he's a human being and I do not take any pleasure saying this. But my friends, it's not about his age. It's about his mental acuity. And we shouldn't just pretend that we can just put him in this nice little roped off area, let
him hang out there in the beach like the sea turtle. We ought to be able to interact with him, We ought to be able to ask him questions. That's why RFK Junior is right about debating him. The Democrats don't want anything to do with that. They're trying to hide this guy yet again. And they've gotten away with the two a remarkable degree. But I gotta ge a break. Come out to order, my friends. Sits back here
in just a minute. Come back to my friends. You know these they the left didn't want any additional comments when this report was filed, and I look, I don't completely disagree. The reason, however, that there are comments that are included in here is because people cannot say it with the straight face anymore. People cannot say with the straight phase that Trump should be pursued for what happened with classified documents, but Biden shouldn't. People can't say that,
and so they feel the need to say something. They feel the need to give some clarity. Well, it's because and just think about the reason here. It's because a jury would be sympathetic to the old man with memory problems. No one wants to put a man of Biden's age or stature or whatever in you know, they don't want to convict him, right, I mean, that's that's what they're saying that's the position. So the position is the jury can't be fair because Biden is just this elderly man who doesn't know
what's going on, and they don't like that that's being said. It reminds me, oh, this so much. So much of this goes back to the days of James Comy and Hillary Clinton. I was thinking of this during the break. I can't think of the terms. But remember James Comy made some comments it didn't qualify to this standard with Hillary and her emails, but yet he used another word that was synonymous with the thing that he said. It wasn't, so he said, I can't think of the word at the
moment. For those of you that were around or paying attention back then, you know you know what I'm talking about. In fact, maybe I'll try to find it during the break. But anyway, basically, there was commentary there. There's been commentary in a lot of this stuff. But they're feeling the need to explain themselves because this is becoming absolutely indefensible and everybody knows it. The Emperor indeed has no clothes. My friends, sit tip back in
minute, welcome back to my friends. I was doing a little bit of research here during the break, and I found James Comey's statement about Hillary's use of personal email back in the well prior to the twenty sixteen campaign. I remember this was back when they were using what bleach bit and smashing cell phones with hammers, remember that totally that's I mean, that's what you do when you get to the end of your cell phone plan, right, you bash
it with a hammer. That's totally natural, totally normal. They want you to believe. But he wouldn't say I forget the word that he was that he said it did not qualify as but he used the definition that Hillary Clinton's use of the way that she handled classified information through those emails were quote extremely careless. Yet he wouldn't use the legal term, and I can't find that in here. The legal term that quite literally, if you look at the
definition, means extremely extreme carelessness. So this is the way, this is the way that they you know, they can't say these things with a straight face, just like everybody knew in twenty sixteen if there was something super fishy going on with the email servers. We also know the same thing about Biden and so forth. But I've got to go have a great day SDG
