National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) are actively defending their federal funding following an audit by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The audit, part of a broader initiative by the Trump administration to scrutinize government expenditures, has intensified debates over the allocation of taxpayer dollars to public media.
