Episode description

Biden’s aides allege that he’s a mean old man behind closed doors. The superficial Left is more concerned with appearances than with reality. An inch deep and a mile wide. The larger lesson here. A short story. You won’t believe how many students at Brown University identify as LGBT. What explains the drastic change?

Attention. You're listening to the Tod Huff radio show, America's home for conservative not bitter Talk radio. Be advised. The content of this program has been documented to prevents and even cure liberalism, and listening may cause you to lean to the right. Here's your conservative but not bitter host, Todd Huff. Welcome, my friends. You have tuned in to America's home for conservative not bitter talk, and I have to tell you it is a fantastic decision that

you have made on your part today. Email should you want to be part of today's discussion Todd at Todd Huff Show dot com. You can also text us, that's right, you can text us three one seven two one zero twenty eight thirty three one seven two one zero twenty eight thirty. Just make sure that you make account, my friends, once in a lifetime opportunity to be sure to include the appropriate amounts of adoration and praise. You know the routine, and of course, it is wonderful to be here today. So

let's start here with the reports. This is in Where did I see this? I think I saw this at the Daily Daily Wire. I think I actually saw this on the Bongino Report. Sometime yesterday headline here, Well, I mean, I'm gonna read it. I here's the headline, Get the

for what four letter F word out of here? That's a quote. And for those of you to listen for some time, you know that I think and I tell my children this when they tell me something is not fair, I say the word fair, ai r not fare like an air fair, I mean fair is in when dad, that's not fair, Dad? That kind of stuff. That's a four letter fford to their father. But this is a quote from from Biden, allegedly, get the four letter F word

out of here. Harrowing stories of Biden's meanness emerge in a new report and they have a picture of Biden here who looks very angry at the podium. In the picture here, you can see this should you want to read the article at toddhufshow dot com and just go to the stack of stuff. But apparently behind behind closed doors, behind closed doors, Biden is letting it rip. Biden is letting it rip. He's this is actually first reported. I saw it at the Daily Wire, but this was first reported at Axios.

Some of Biden's aids avoid meeting alone with him. Now this say, is he's as he is prone to yell epithez at such as I can't even read these. I don't even want to use abbreviations. I don't like doing this. But it includes the F word and other taking of the lord's name in vain things like that. And he's yelling at his staff allegedly reportedly his aids and so forth, and his aids don't want to meet with him in person.

Now, if you would have said to me even yesterday, why does Biden's aids not why do Biden's aids not want to meet with him in person alone? I would have said it's because they're not sure if he's going to grope them or smell their hair. That would have been my guess, although I'm not overly surprised by these allegations as as well, because he's an angry he is angry. Someone else told Axios that no one is safe, no one is safe. Look that actually humors me. No one is safe.

I thought the left was well. The modern left tells us all the time that they can create safe spaces. In fact, if you just vote for them, they'll tell you they can create a safe world. They can tell you down to the nearest one one hundredth of an inch what the sea levels will be in a hundred years if you just elect these jokers in clowns, which of course is ridiculous, but this is what they tell us. They

tell us that we can be safe if we just vote for them. We can be safe because there'll be gun laws that take weapons of war off the street. They tell us we will be safe because there will be no more climate change. Much like when Obama was elected president and gave his acceptance speech that Hyde Park, I think it is in Chicago where Obama had the god

reverb on the microphone, sounding much like one of those the Loue. Garrick speech at Yankee Stadium back in the was at the forties or fifties or whatever that was, which is a sad speech. I'm just saying that the sound

the god like reverb. Obama had that when he was elected in two thousand and eight, before his term began in at two thousand and nine, and as he took to that stage, he took to that podium the microphone, he told us that this is the day, this is the day that Mother Nature, even planet Earth, is going to know if there's a new sheriff in town. I'm, of course taking the liberty to paraphrase what he said. He said, this is the moment, he said, this is the

moment that the sea levels are going to start receding. That's what he said back in two thousand and eight. I think it was the victory night speech when he was elected President of the United States November two thousand and eight. So the life tells us they can make us safe from everything, absolutely everything, if we just vote for them, if we just relinquish a little bit more of our liberties, if we just give them a little bit more of

our hard earned money, they can make us safe of everything. But unfortunately, it sounds like the one thing they cannot make us safe from. Of course, they can't make us safe from any of those things. I'm just following their line of pseudologic here. But the one thing that they know that they can't make us safe from is apparently President Biden, who's yelling things at

his aids, who's destroying everything that he touches. I mean, that's a reality that's going to be setting in for these jokers and clowns on the left as it is. But I think this whole narrative. What got me about this is I was putting the together today's stack of stuff. You know, this is something that I thought, you know what, I want to spend a little bit of time on this because because I think that this illustrates a

larger problem. You could say with politics in general, but I would say specifically, and more consistently, the politics of the radical left, the politics of the superficial left. And if you listen to this program for any length of time, you will have heard me use that phrase, the superficial left,

the superficial left. You will hear me say things like everything has become political and modern America, what you eat, what you drink, what you drive, what you where, where you have lunch, where you work, what you watch on Netflix or whatever, whether you watch Netflix or Hulu or ESPN Plus or Paramount plus or whatever else is out there today, everything has become political. Everything is superficial. The left, as I've said before,

so eloquently, so beautifully, the left is a mile deep. Excuse me, that's not correct. See I messed it up. I was getting all having some fun. They're an inch deep and a mile wide. They are an inch deep and a mile wide, meaning they want to cover the surface of everything, everything in our collective lives, that is even a potential problem. They want to tell us they've got superficial solutions for now. They don't want you and I and the rest of their base to think about these things

of superficial solutions. But that is in fact what they are, and that is why they used phrases in terms like build back better or a woman's right to choose. That's how they've framed the modern abortion debate. It's pro choice right, and they'll call people on the right conservatives, lovers of liberty, and so forth. They'll call you anti choice if you believe that the life of an unborn child should be protected. And they set the terms of the

debate, and this is how they do it. But if they're talking points, if their narrative is explored, even with the slightest amount of I don't know, investigation or just the little bit of cynicism, a little bit of doubt, a little bit of pushback, it crumbles. It crumbles upon immediate contact with the individual asking the questions, it just completely collapses. It is built upon the sinking sand. It is much like and I don't want to

be taken out of context here. I'm only saying, I'm only using this analogy because many of you have heard it and understand the implications and what was being said. But Jesus called the group of religious leaders the self righteous, heavy handed dare I say, tyrannical oppressors of his era who were the religious leaders. And there were others as well, but he was particularly going after these folks because they were supposed to be modeling and explaining and demonstrating what the

scriptures said about God. Instead they were using that. They were using that as a blunt, forced instrument to get people beaten, down, beaten into this point, to this point where they would effectively just fall into line and do what the oppressive dare I say, tyrannical rulers of the day, religious rulers of the day wanted them to do. And so what did Jesus.

I don't want to turn this into a sermon. I know some of you don't like it, and honestly, I just I mean, I'm going to talk about it because I think it's relevant and I think it's a good analogy. Bait. What did he do? He called those individuals he called those individuals white washed tombs, and what did that mean? That means on the outside know they had it all together. Oh, they looked the part,

they spoke the part. Now, unfortunately, pause this this discussion on the parable or what he told that the religious leaders of the day, the Democrat Party does not have a current candidate who's polished and put together. I'm not implying that, I'm just saying that this is how the left approaches things.

It's all about appearances. It's not about reality. It's it's about what looks to be the case or what they can use visually, what they can use through the I don't the political theater of the day to get the ends that they desire, right, they want to have a certain outcome, which includes

themselves in power. And they don't really even care what it is that they're trying to convince the people of so far as they can you some sort of visual cues, some sort of political dramas, some sort of man made authority oppressing people to do what they want. And so Jesus told them, you look like you got it all together on the outside, nice and pretty and put together, articulate, well spoken, know how to use the language properly,

you've practiced the way that you speak in front of groups. Your appearance is right on point all of these things, but on the inside you're dead and your decaying. And that is in fact what politics in general and specifically, I would say, in particular, what the modern Democrat party has become. This is, by the way, the real definition of hypocrite. Hypocrite is not I heard a pastor the other day somewhere and it was so social media. A pastor said, a hypocrite is not someone who is trying to

do the right thing but fails. A hypocrite. And he's right on this, by the way, hypocrite, the term hypocrite is often is often mis understood and really just meant to imply that there's a double standard. But a hypocrite is a pretender. Hypocrite is someone who wants you to think, oh, this is the point. This is now getting down to the nitty gritty of politics. Probably this gets down even to the level of office politics,

of family dynamics, things that you are personally experiencing. There are people, and I hope I'm not talking to to many, that are fall into this bucket. If if we do or to the extent that we do, we should clean it up. But the idea, the idea that it's more important to look the part instead of actually seeking to become the part. That's that's the issue at hand here. We're all gonna fall short. But if you're genuinely pursuing a certain standard and you fall short, that's not a hypocrite.

A hypocrite is someone that wants you to believe they've already attained it. There's nothing real about it. There's really nothing real about their desire to pursue it. There's a desire to want to convince you, to convince me that not only are they pursuing it, pursuits not even enough for these folks. They want you to believe that they've attained it. Oh, yes, they've got it all together. They're the ones. Remember Trump was the one that had

this country in a complete, unmitigated disaster. According to the left, Biden was going to ride into town the world was gonna say, we can suddenly appreciate and respect the United States of America again. And as I've said the past few days or weeks, even now, we've got cocaine in the wine

house. Doesn't sound like a very respectable thing to me. Now we've got allegations of legitimate, legitimate pay to place scandal here, allegedly with Hunter Biden, with these foreign entities, with Joe Biden being the big guy, allegedly, potentially potentially ostensibly every word I got to throw in there to say I'm not levying the allegation, other than just to say, don't tell me.

Don't tell me that this administration has done anything of substance, either as it pertains to the issues or as it pertains to restoring the integrity and the reputation of the United States around the world. That is of course, complete, ridiculous, absurded. It's just poppycock, is what it is. It's silliness is what it is. But this idea of of appearance versus reality reminds me of a couple of things. Reminds me of a story I've shared it on

here. It's been a while ago, but it's something that I just think is worth we're talking about here because I think that in understanding this and understanding how the left, how politicians in general play the game, but in particular the modern Democrat Party has run by the radical left, it is about appearance more than it is about reality. They don't care about the reality. They

want to appear. They want to appear as though they have it all together, because, after all, how can they convince people to vote for them and to hand their lives over to them so that these politicians can micro manage

our decisions and lives. Why would people be willing to do that unless they thought, Wow, this is truly a superior individual, truly someone who is of a class or dare I say, a cast that is worthy of my complete and utter devotion in some instances, just if nothing else obedience, and of course that is not the way that God had created the earth to.

We'll create a humanity to live. We're to respect those who have positions of authority, but we're not to blindly follow them wherever they lead us, that's for sure, and we should certainly think for ourselves and not be caught off guard and let astray by hypocrites and people who are more concerned about the appearance of good than actually the reality of good. So timeouts in order plenty more to say about this, including a short story that I want to pass along

to you after the break. My friends, you're listening to conservative not better talk. I'm your host, Todd Huff back in just a minute. Welcome back, my friends. Are you is your business? Eric Wilson and his team there do great do a lot of great things. They can help you navigate it. Be sure to tell him you heard about him here on the Todd Huff Show as well. So let's get back to what we

were talking about. And I'm gonna get to this, this little story that I have a little personal anecdote or experience as it pertains to this whole concept of appearance versus reality. And I've I've shared this before. It's been a while, but I've shared it before, and I think it's important to well, I just think I think that there's a lesson here, and I remember it's going back it probably probably even more than twenty years, slightly more,

maybe like twenty two years or something like that. I remember working helping with our church's youth group, and I remember one time, and I'm not minimizing this, Please don't misunderstand me. I'm not minimizing what the youth pastor, a friend of mine, was was saying. I'm just saying I don't see it this way, and I'll tell you why. And it pertains to what

we've talked about thus far today. But I remember he and I well, he was actually telling the students that it's important that other people that they go to school with know that they are followers of Jesus and you know that just that sort of thing, it's important for people to know. And I'm not saying that we shouldn't explain that or talk to people when the opportunity presents itself,

but I do think. I do think as they say that the and fascist is on the wrong salable, meaning, I think the emphasis needs to be placed on another part of this. And I think if we focus in the case of in the case of if you have a faith or just whatever, I'm just using that because that's what my personal experience was, instead of focusing on people seeing it, how much better would it be if we actually

focused on becoming it? Because you see, my friends, whenever you focus on becoming something like a follower of Christ, just as an example, when you focus on that and you're not concerned so much about making sure man, I need to do this so that people see it. No, that's not the way. With all due respect, I don't. I think that that's missing the mark. I think again and fascists on the wrong syllable. As people say, I think that it's important to focus on being and doing,

not so much on getting people to artificially see it. That's where I think communication comes in. And so when you do that, just think of all the things you're freed up on. You don't have to focus on what do I do next, You don't have to focus on, well, how does this look? What is you know, what's this going to make it look

like? If I choose to do this or if I don't do that, or whatever the case may be. I say, forget all of that and just focus on believing the truth, trying to live out the truth, trying to communicate the truth. That's where you can articulate and explain why did I do something or why did I not do something or whatever. And we're obviously

going to make mistakes. But again, if the emphasis is on actually legitimately believing or embodying what we say that we believe, in the case of conservatism, just conservative principles, pro life principles, I mean understand and embody them.

Yes, there's a key or a method to communicate the best way, and I'm not minimizing that, but I don't want to confuse it and put it under the main category, which is simply believing the truth and standing upon that truth, and then we need to think about communicating it under its own little umbrella, because now that's the opportunity I have to explain it. But this is the opposite of how politicians behave, This is the opposite of how

the ruling class behaves. They want to appear again, not to be someone who's like the rest of us, dopes, as they would say it. They don't want to appear like the rest of us and say that they're on the same path that we're on towards improving, you know, making just making general improvements and so forth. Overall improving means that you're not perfect. See, they would rather it appear that they've already got it all figured out.

They would rather appear that they have the solutions for everything. If you, if your neighbor, if the American people would just vote for them, just trust them. And so many people have already kind of swallowed this pill, if you will, they've swallowed the pill. They've swallowed better said the hook, hook, line, and sinker here. And now they're on the line.

Now they're being reeled in. Now they're being manipulated. Now they're being pulled in out of the metaphorical lake here to be thrown in the frying pan and used for the purposes of the political elite, the political establishment, the radical left, so on and so forth. But it's so much better to focus on being rather than focusing on how does it look? How does it look? How does it look? I remember, remember in high school.

Remember in high school, a friend of mine was always concerned about how he looked on the basketball court or the football field with his wristbands and elbow pads and everything else. Great guy, great guy. And instead, wouldn't it have been better? And he was a great player. I don't don't misunderstand, but wouldn't have been better to focus on Hey, how about I catch this ball? And he caught plenty of balls. But instead of focusing on

how it looks, how about we focus on actually scoring the touchdown? Because it doesn't matter how you look when you score the touchdown if you don't score the touchdown, right, and it shouldn't even matter really how you look. Again, if you're being, if you're living life with principles, these things take care of themselves. It's just an unnecessary stress. I worry about these things zero percent. I come on this program, I kid you not.

I come on this program. I prepare, I think about what I want to talk about. I get on here and I talk to you just like I would talk if we were in well. I mean, I do some things for a little bit of fun and dramatic effect, you know, just having good old fashioned fun. But this is these conversations are just like they would be if we were sitting over dinner or whatever, just just talking,

communicating, exchanging ideas and so forth. But the left, the political class, it's all about how can we use the optics to get people to have the response take the action that we want them to take. And I just have a problem with that. Think it's so much better, it's so much healthier to believe what we believe and explain it, articulate it, especially if it's true, because, my friends, if it's true, and conservatism,

I would maintain is absolutely true. People know these things innately. This is built in. They understand the importance of freedom. They understand inside that they were not created for the sole purpose of being a servant. Now, and there's nothing wrong with choosing to serve others. But we're not second class people that are subjects of some government. We're not just a clump of cells.

We are created in the image of God, with certain unalienable rights, and among those are life liberty in the pursuit of happiness, where people with our own dreams and ambitions and desires and preferences and wants right. This is how we kind of function together. We all are generally pushing in one direction towards hopefully towards progress and certain principles and values. But we have different skills and we complement one another and can get there collectively. But there's people that want

to manipulate that, people that want to take advantage of that. And they're professionals, the professional deceivers, and they lie. And one of the ways they lie is by focusing not on the reality of becoming what they say they believe. Instead, it's about artificially pretending to be something, pretending they've already arrived at the destination. It is in fact, predicated upon being a hypocrite. Hypocrite as someone who would wear a mask during a performance be something totally

different than what they're purturing themselves to be. And I think that that's the lesson here of this Biden White House tobaccle, with him screaming apparently allegedly at staff, cussing them out, using the four letter F bomb and everything else to voice his displeasure and his anger and his rage. And then they do their best to polish him up, put the aviators on him, try to make him look cool, or whatever else they try to do. And of

course that's a lost cause. But this is the strategy, and it works with a lot of people, unfortunately, because they've been lulled to sleep and they don't know how to think for themselves, be critical, have their own ideas and opinions. They just see it. They see the media telling us this is good, Trump is bad, and they just automatically follow it. So I'm long in the segment. I gotta take a break, quick time out. My friends gonna change gears. Whendn't we get back see it in

just a minute. Welcome back, my friends. I have mentioned on that it's been a while, but I've mentioned on this program before that I've got I've got a good friend who is in in a business that provides services. I guess you would say products and services predominantly or primarily to I would say the LGBT community. Now it's it's uh, he's not catering, it's it's a legitimate, it's a legitimate service. It's not you know, some of

this crazy woke stuff. It's it's just it's trying to again provide a product or service to the community. So as being an individual who is UM, well, it's it's a he's sells um medicine. I guess I would say that helps people cope and get treated for HIV and HIV as many of you know. If you don't, this is the truth. HIV is largely a

disease that is spread. It's not exclusive. I don't mean that it's only in the in the gay, lesbian, gay community, but that is in fact, there's a high percentage of people in that community, or if you look at the total people with HIV, a huge chunk of them, or in the LGBT community. So the reason I mentioned this is because he's he's constantly been aware. His company has just general information that he needs to know.

He knows regularly, He's known this for a long time, the percentage of Americans who are who identify as gay or lesbian and an even transgender. So he knows these percentages, and these percentages typically I believe he's told me for the gay community it's two to maybe three percent. That's what it's been historically, and for the transgender community, I mean it's it's a fraction of

a percent. But there is research, or I guess a study, I should say, a study that was done at Brown University, and the percentage of students at that school that identify as LGBT will blow your mind. And I'll tell you on the other side of the break. I'm just really long in this segment, so we're gonna tell you the percentage. We're gonna talk about this briefly on the other side of the break. It'll blow your mind. My friends, you're listening here to conservative not better talk. I'm your

host, Hid Huff back in just a minute. Welcome back, my friends. So again, this is in the stack of stuff today on the website if you want to read it. It's an article from the Daily BS. That's BS from both Snerdley used to be the call screener, the what the

program observer. It's what Russ called him for Russell them ball. Anyway, according to research done by Brown University's student newspaper, which is called the Brown Daily Herald, thirty eight percent of students in or attending I should say, at Brown University identify a as LGBT Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender.

Now, you'll have remembered from the last segment if you were tuned in that I had said that the percent of that community is just a couple of percent historically, and I shared that I have a friend that's in the business that sells medication to treat people who are predominantly in the LGBT community, and it's only a couple percent that historically identify as LGB and then even another say another

percent LGBT. Well, the t the transgender portion, So say it's it's under five percent, it's three to four percent, I think is typically where it comes out. I've texted him just to confirm, just to confirm that, but I think that's where we're under five percent of the public typically has identified historically as LGBT. Now we have thirty eight percent of students at Brown University applying identifying I should say as LGBT. Now, the question is why

what's changed now? The Left would tell you what's changed is that this is now socially acceptable. Folks years ago, I'm talking, I bet it's been probably before before I was doing this program. We've been doing this program for eight years, So let's say it was eight to ten years ago. I remember being at at a lunch and overhearing a table right next to me two women talking about I think one of their kids was gay or bisexual or something.

They were talking about that I'm just having my lunch or working away or whatever I'm doing, and one of the women said, well, you know that forty percent I think it was forty percent of the country is gay. And I just remember thinking, where in the world I didn't say anything. I did not. Some of you might think I did. I did not, But I sat there and thought, that is unbelievable to think that.

Now they would say, the left would say that the reason more people historically have not identified as lgbt Q, I guess or the full acronym is because they've been hated by people. Now, a conservative might say, oh boy,

it's going to really light some fires potentially here today. But a conservative might say, I can see how that argument take away, whether it's you know, whatever the issue is LGBT just take that away for a minute and say, I can understand if a group of people were bullied and hated, then certainly people wouldn't want to identify, But can we not also at least be open to the possibility that thirty eight percent of people identify as lgbt Q

now at Brown University, because possibly there's some social pressures to do so. I mean, this has become its own movement. It's a fair question. It's a very fair approach to the subject. I've got to take a break of my friend, sit tight, just out of time here, back in just a minute, back, my friends. Unfortunately that's about all the time

that we have for today. But again, I know, look, with all of the focus that's been put on this issue, on the discussion of sexuality and how it's been thrust upon children, very young children, in fact, there's no there's no doubt as to why we're experiencing this confusion. And I look, people can make their own choices. But my friends, we still have the right to say that we agree with a biblical worldview or whatever, to say that we don't want to be forced to say that that's a

good and wholesome or whatever thing. But I've got to go stg my friends,
