Attention. You're listening to the Todd Huff radio show, America's home for conservative not bitter Talk radio. Be advised. The content of this program has been documented to prevents and even cure liberalism, and listening may cause you to lean to the right. Here's your conservative but not bitter host, Todd Huff. Bringing's my friends, you have tuned into America's home for conservative not bitter Talk. It's a pleasure to have you here. You made a wonderful decision.

Email. Should you want to be part of today's conversation Todd at Todd Huff Show dot com. You can Texas as well. Message and data rates certainly could apply, not because we're charging you because your carrier three one seven two one zero twenty eight thirty. Is that number three one seven two one zero twenty eight thirty. So I want to again, for those that are new to the program, we have a page on our website at tohupshow dot com

where you can look at the articles that we will be referencing today. Some of these we of course won't get to throughout the course of the program. Others we will get to. I try to put everything there that I think that at least has informed my thinking as I have kind of started started the program here today. It's an average sized stack of stuff, maybe slight, sometimes it's short. But there's a couple of things that I want to make

sure that we that we get to today. Number One. Number one vvak Ramaswamy, who everyone who's listened to this program knows that I like him. I like vvak Ramaswami, you know, for several reasons. Number One, I think he's a principled limited government conservative. I think number two, he is a good communicator, which is important to be able to communicate ideas and policies and to cut through some of the some of the misconceptions and misunderstandings that

people have. I think I think he's not he's not afraid. He's not afraid to go into media outlets that are not, of course favorable to conservatives. And there's lots of other reasons too. But he has qualified. He's qualified for the August twenty third debate, which that's the first debate, which is a month away. We are thirty days days away. You just you look back in the rear view mirror and time goes fast, and I understand

we're all getting older, at least I am. Some of you may not think you are, but you know, as time as I as I age, I've noticed the speed at which time seems to move, and it continues to go faster and faster and faster, to the point where it's hard to

believe. It's hard to believe that four years ago we were entering into the twenty twenty campaign, right, I mean, that's that's really where where we are, and all the things that have transpired since then, all of the things that have happened since of course Biden became president and so forth, it's just crazy to think we're back at the point in time where we have a chance to regain control of the White House. And I don't want to make

I don't want to lead any confusion here. I normally don't do this. We've been through. This will be the third presidential election cycle that we have been through. Two thousand we started this program. Actually we're coming up on the eight year anniversary August what is it, August tenth, two fifteen is when we launched our podcast and been on the radio since twenty sixteen, So

we've been on here for a while. And there's some more news to come about that hopefully, hopefully in the next ten days, I can tell you about this. I've been really, really, as I say, chomping at the bit to do this. So I've got some some things to share with you about that. But in due course and due course we'll get there. So then as I look back, twenty sixteen, we went through that elect

cycle, twenty twenty, we went through that election cycle. Now we're on the twenty twenty four and typically I would say, I don't think it's advantageous for someone well for me to endorse or to really support a candidate during the primary season, because especially twenty sixteen, I think I think that was a good thing for the Republican Party. Remember there were seventeen i think, people who were running for the Republican nomination, and the one that won the nomination,

Donald J. Trump, was mocked as having been someone who had no statistical chance at winning even the nomination, let alone the presidency. So I think it's good for those things to happen. And I think it's good to not really endorse in general terms prior to the general election, not during the primary season. I think maybe talking out thinking through some of the pros and cons of each candidate is a good a good thing that being set. I

think vivek Ramaswamy, he may be. He may be my second choice right now for the Republican nomination, and I think it's clear who the front runners should be. Some of you disagree vehemently with me about this, and that's okay. I understand a little bit. Um. I think Vivek Ramaswamy is a guy that can come in once this next layer of fighting is actually taken

care of. I think what we have to do. I don't know how many people have the stomach to lead the I almost want to call it the revolution, and I don't mean it in some in some dramatic way, but it is going to be dramatic. The level of corruption at just take the FBI for example, is out of this world. Is out of this world.

And with that in mind, I'll pause the conversation on the vac Ramaswami, the Republican presidential nomination and so forth the primary season, which starts with the debate here in thirty days, literally thirty days, we'll be having our first debate. I'll pause it and tell you that now in the background, it should be in the foreground. But now Republicans are openly not just and I don't mean this, and don't misunderstand. It's not just Lauren Bobert.

It's not just Marjorie Taylor Green. It's now Jim Banks, a very highly respected Republican congressman from the great state of Indiana, home to the Todd huff Show. But this is Look, this is a program that this is if you're from flyover country, the heartland. I mean, that's you know, that's the perspective that we bring to these discussions. We're not coming to you from New York City or Washington, DC or some of these other larger metropolitan

areas. This is this is any town, USA, and I would say Jim Banks, and to a large degree, is from a district that's much like that as well. Here in Indiana. He's now running for the US Senate as well. For those of you that have followed Who's Your Politics, you know that Senator Mike Braun is running for Governor Eric Holcombe, who is not the type of Republican anybody needs here in Indiana. He's about to be finishing his term as governor. He's he cannot run again because of term limits.

And so anyway, Mike Braun is running for governor. Eric Holcombe, I'm still not convinced is not going to run for Senate, but so far he has not, and Jim Banks is doing that. But Jim Banks is out there calling for Biden now to be impeached. He's calling for Biden to be impeached, and Jim Banks is correct. In fact, what did Jim Banks say here? Let me see if I pull this up. He said,

he's it's the most Let me sure I get this right. Well, this isn't a bright Bart article again, it's in the stack of stuff. Representative Jim Banks. It's time to impeach Biden, and not only that, but to expunge President Trump's impeachments, which I think is a good good thing to do as well. Now these are things that are I mean, they just have they're kind of symbolic, but then again, so were the impeachments

to begin with. That was the main purpose the Democrats. Of course, they never had a legitimate chance of removing Trump from office, but this was all part of a state strategicy, as Bush would say, a strategicy to remove the possibility of Trump or to try to inhibit his ability to win in twenty twenty four, which they may have actually given him more fuel to add

on to the fire. Because for those of us who believe that the main problem is the eradication of people that could be loosely termed as part of the deep state, the swamp, the bureaucratic corruption in Washington, d C. It is abundantly clear that the person to do that job is Donald J. Trump. Now I've said before, and I know some of you getting back to the campaign or to the primary here, some of you prefer to see

Rhoda Santis as the nominee. De Santis is not in a good position, but he's still I mean, he is relative to Trump, but Trump is is dominating. Although I did see that Trump lost lost nine points of ground in some New Hampshire poll, so that's that's an early state in the primary,

So a lot of this has to shake out still. But for those of us, those of you like me who believes the number one job is to eradicate the corruption, not that that's a bold statement to say eradicate, but to at least flush the rats out of the corners, to get them as best we can exposed to the light of day, get them scurrying for some other places to run to besides these strongholds that they have erected for themselves within our within our government, namely the FBI, not just the FBI and

the CIA. I mean, there's all all sorts of places anywhere that is, you know, a higher level position in the federal government. You're I mean, you're safe, and you have a lot of power, unfortunately, and no accountability to the American electorate. This is one of the massive problems that we have in this country today. This is why people feel helpless because they vote for one thing and then the bureaucratic state is operating behind the scenes

and pushing this nation in a direction that no one voted for. But we don't know how to get rid of it because it's some nameless, faceless individual within some bureaucratic state that we can't get rid of. So anyway, So weaving back to vivak Ramaswamy, the twenty twenty four primary for the Republican Party, vivak Ramaswamy has announced that he is going to he has met the requirements to be on the debate stage on August twenty third, and thirty days.

But guess who hasn't yet. I got a list of those on the website of stuff. Mike Pence as of right now, at this moment, has not gotten enough, has not checked off I guess the requirements to do so, which is remarkable to think. And I know I know he's I know that he has the January sixth situation hanging over over his head and so forth. But even so, even so, the threshold to get to these debates

is not that not that large. So the ones who are on track to qualify, I don't know if they've technically qualified, but they're on track to qualify in the next thirty days. Of course Trump, Rnda Santis, Nicki Haley, Viva Ramaswamy, Tim Scott, and Chris Christy notably. The ones that have not yet they don't appear yet to be on track include Mike Pence, Will Heard, Doug Bergham, Asa Hutchinson, who I remember back from the Clinton impeachment days. In fact, my class met back in the day.

I remember we met with Asa Hutchinson when he was a representative. He was representative from Arkansas back in those days, the late nineties. Ryan Binkley Francis Suarez and Larry Elder. Those are the folks that are not yet on pace to secure their spot on the Republican debate stage. Which if the vice president, I mean, if the former vice president of the United States cannot make the first debates because of minimum requirements, I mean that campaign and I

said it from the beginning, that campaign has no chance. But it's officially over. It's officially over. If he can't do that, how are you going to fundraise? There's already uncertainty within the Republican Party about Pence even taking us or putting aside those that were not real thrilled with how he handled the way that these slates of electors were presented and his just approval of those whatever you think of that, that's a reality that people are not happy about that.

But even putting that aside, you know, he should he should be hitting the ground running. He should not be talking about the reality or the possibility that he's not going to be on the debate stage on August twenty three. That's going to sink this thing from the very beginning. So we're quickly approaching, quickly approaching the debate season, the primary season, and again to me, there's a clear choice, a clear first choice. There's other promising

things about a lot of these other folks. I just think the timings, timing's not right. They're looking for opportunities that would present themselves should President Trump get himself into trouble with some of these indictments or just some of the fallout

from that. That's what the bets are on. And so we're squaring up to begin to move into these discussions, you know, pretty quickly, pretty pretty short order, we'll be talking about debate performances, fundraising, and just what I expect to be the systematic, the systematic removal of candidates by president former President Trump. That's what I see happening. I think that that is the safe bet until we have something that proves otherwise. But there you have

it. Vvak Ramaswami, though, is going to be on that debate stage. I've got to take a time out, my friends, quick time out, get back. Plenty of other things I want to get to today. You're listening here to conservative not bitter talk. I'm your host, Toth half back in a minute, Welcome back, my friends. Last segment, I had mentioned that the calls to peach President Joe Biden are getting louder from members

of Congress. Now, of course there are senators in particular, but also other Republicans in the House of Representatives that have not joined in the chorus yet, and you know, for separate reasons. But one of them, the one I don't have respect for, are the people, honestly, like the Todd Young's, like the Lisa Murkowski's, who just are never going to be on board with it because they well, I think it's ultimately because they are they are weak, and because they don't want to have to do the heavy

lifting and hold the well, the other branch of government accountable. You know, if you listen to some of these jokers and clowns, they've got more bad things to say about Trump. I'm talking Todd Young, I'm talking Lisa Murkowski, I'm talking even Mitt Romney. I mean, you know, they have more bad things to say about Trump, more opposition to Trump than what they see to Biden and or what they have what they have to Biden and

his behavior and so forth. And what's what's troubling about this. What's troubling about this is what Representative James Komer has recently. He's recently said, and he's on record is saying that this is the I mean, make sure I

get it exactly right here. He's criticizing the corruption in this administration. This is, folks, this is this is the most corrupt politician potentially, if what if, what we've seen on this laptop leads to where I think it inevitably will lead for those who actually care about seeking truth and getting following where the evidence actually leads. But James Comer, represented from the state of Kentucky, said that he believes the President Joe Biden, has been selling access this

is a quote, access to our enemies for decades. I think he said this on a podcast on Senator Ted Cruise's podcast called Verdict, and just I know that he's from the Republican Party, and I know that it's heading into a campaign season. I get that, and I get that politicians will say things to get the fired result politically. In fact, I caution us about

that on a regular basis. I think that one of the problems we have from the Republicans is that when election season gets close, they'll say the sorts of things that they need to say for fundraising. They'll say the sorts of things they need to say for getting re elected or getting elected the first time, which of course is a part of their job. I mean, like

it or hate it, it doesn't matter. We have to accept the reality that they have to get elected in order to have political power, and that is a necessity in any society, but in particular this culture that we live in today, this government that is being run by radical leftists who are completely comfortable, completely ready to use their position in government to spy on US senators, state senators, state judges. That's a story that's in the stack of

stuff. The FBI was illegally surveilling, spying on as a US senator. I don't think it named a senator, US senator, a state senator, and a state judge. And that's just what we know again from the ever so corrupt FBI. I mean that you talk about herritage, is right. The FBI needs to I know that these I know that these things sound sound radical and extreme. I understand what I'm about to say. Some people think that that's extreme, but I do believe the FBI has been compromised so much.

It needs to be It needs to be done away with, and we need to remake something that is of course constitutional in doing a specific necessary function, but not all this other crap that they've gotten themselves into where they getting into corrupt activity after corrupt activity. This of course can be done. This is not. I mean, we start in a new branch of the of the military called Space Force, and it's the point is it can be done. I don't want to, let me be clear, I don't want to

simply add parts to the federal government. I'm saying to eradicate the FBI, get rid of it, dismantle it. I don't even think who are you going to promote within that have, you know, the the level of experience and things that we would be that they would be looking for. I don't think that there's anybody at those levels that has the necessary integrity and willingness to

really do the dirty work required to fix this. That's why again, I think Trump's so important to be elected president again because I think this takes, this takes this takes a certain type of person, and it's something that a lot of people are just not prepared to do. So we've got James Comer out there saying that the Biden family, Biden, Joe Biden in particular, has been selling access to our enemies for decades. That's what his belief is,

for decades selling access. This didn't just go back. He would tell you too when he was vice president under Barack Obama. This goes back decades. And for those I just had a conversation this weekend was well, a very short one, just in passing talking about Biden, and this individual was, you know, basically pointing out how completely inept just forget about policy based upon their inability to finish a thought, a sentence, to find the podium,

to not face plant on the stage. This person was saying, Hey, you know, I don't mean this personally. I don't want to attack him. I'm not trying to. You know, it's sad when this happens to older, older people. And I said that that's true, but we also can go back in time and we can look at the type of person. And I'm not cheering. Don't misunderstand. I'm not cheering for this to happen to him. But we it's easy to say, well, Biden is

just this grandfatherly old figure, nice old guy. We you know, he likes certain flavors of ice cream and it's you know, just this, this gentle old man who's just you know, he's got some problems, and that's not the truth. This guy's been a bad dude for a while. I mean it just go back and look, he ran for president back in nineteen eighty eight. He had to stop because he was picking off speeches pretending that that they were his own. He was plagiarizing. This guy's been I mean,

he's been in DC. I've said it before, I'll say it again. He's been in our nation's capital in positions of political power for twenty percent of this nation's existence, twenty percent of America's history. Joe Biden has been in Washington, DC, and Representative Comber says he's been using those positions in Washington, DC. Now Comber may be proven wrong here, but he's looked

into this. He's making these bold claims. Maybe he doesn't have the evidence, and maybe he's wrong, but to make the claim that he thinks Biden has been selling American secrets or giving access to our enemies for decades, plural plural decades. That's at least twenty years. If a Bernie Sanders fan has tuned in, take it easy, Bernie fans, I love you. But twenty years at least is what that means. Decades decades of doing that.

So you can bind this. You got the republic in primary already, You've already got tensions in this country, of course, stemming from worldview and politics and Trump and January sixth and impeachments and all this sort of stuff. And then you throw into this, throw into this a Congress that just a Republican Congress that's only been in a position of power now for what six months or so. Who's now looking into these things that the media and the Democrats ignored

when Joe Biden was running for president. In fact, they lied about those. They had intelligence experts, former professional know at all it is from the intelligence community write that letters signed it and said that the Hunter Biden laptop was basically rushing disinformation. Of course, they'll tell you that what I'm telling you

is not true, but that's what they wanted you to believe. They know, they knew at the time they wrote that letter that it was authenticated as an actual that it was actually Hunter's laptop, but they didn't want that to be in people's minds when they were casting. When they were casting ballots, they In fact, with the help of people like Facebook and Twitter, they interfered with the twenty twenty election, undermining, as they would say, our

democracy, which of course is a constitutional republic. But nonetheless, nonetheless, you factor all these things together and you can see that America has reached a boiling point. We have reached We're in the midst of a cold civil war. We need a leader who is prepared to go in even before day one. Better armor yourself up, you get ready for what's about to happen and

what needs to happen. It is a necessary fight. They the deep state, they the radical left, They the Democrat Party have positioned themselves firmly against the American people, firmly against liberty. They are willing to use government in any way, shape, manner, or form to weaponize it to take out their political adversaries and opponents. And we've got to We're gonna have to fight against it, my friends. There's no easy way through this. We gotta

go straight through the belly of the beasts. And Trump's prepared to do that, my friends. Timeouts in order. You're listening to conservative not better talking. I'm your host, Tod huf Back in just a minute. Welcome back, my friends. I need to clear something up. Oz told me before or during the break, right when we went to the break, she said, you just basically endorse Trump there, and I said, well, yeah,

I did. And she said, but you said earlier you weren't endorsing, and I said, that's not and that's not what I was saying. I was saying normally. Normally in twenty sixteen, I didn't endorse. I thought it was important to work through that we were at a crossroads. Bush was the last time we had a Republican president. We had been through Obama. We'd had McCain run against Obama, we had Mitt Romney run against Obama,

and so I thought sixteen was a good time. It actually gave the party a chance to get actually to the conservative side, and it did with Trump much more than it ever dreamed of doing with Mitt Romney or with John McCain. And I know he's passed, and I'm not trying to, you know, be hateful to the memory at John McCain. That's not my intent at all. My intendants to be honest with you, and I'm saying this time, this time is different. This time in twenty six excuse me,

twenty twenty four, not twenty sixteen. We know what we need, what we've learned since twenty sixteen, which is what we many of us have known all along, or suspected all along. The level of corruption stinks to high heaven. It's worse than I think we ever possibly imagined. It's still worse than we think right now. And I think that's why I feel like I've been actually quite remarkably consistent on this. That's why I said De Santis shouldn't

run. That's why, Well, there's several reasons why I don't think Pence should run, but that's one of the main reasons why. That's why for all these people that have thrown their names in, there might be good things about some of them, most probably something in comparison to Biden. They're all the greatest politicians ever. But but in comparison to what we need, what

this country needs, they're not necessarily they have a percentage of it. But I think the biggest percentage of it is the willingness and the understanding that this is going to be a metaphorical take it easy out there not. I don't this is all metaphorical. This is going to be a bloody brawl. It's going to have to be, because these people are entrenched in our government.

They are not going to go This is their livelihood. For the guideless radical left, this is their god, for the lifetime politicians of both parties, the ruling class, the people who just are not comfortable with Trump for reasons, well a lot of times they pretend it's for some other reason, but basically they don't like the fact that he's trying to actually get rid of some

of the crap that goes on in the government. When someone comes in and actually makes you work, and when someone comes in and actually tries to reduce the size and scope of the government of the bureaucracy, these police clowns don't like that. Bigger government means bigger amounts of power in their hands. And they like that. Oh they'll pretend like they don't, but they do like it. And so to be clear, I am I don't. I normally

don't. And that's what I was trying to say earlier. Perhaps I didn't say it correctly, although it's very possible Oz was not paying as close of attention as she should have been. But maybe I didn't communicate clearly. Normally, I don't think it's helpful to endorse during the primary, but I think

it's different this time because I think it's abundantly clear what we need. There's two there's one clear fighter, and I would say a second person that I think has demonstrated that as well, the Santists, but he's followed in Trump's shoes. As far as you know, Trump was the trailblazer on this approach. So I think it's clear I do what needs to happen. The idea that these people are all throwing their name in the hat is crazy to me.

It is it's crazy. I can understand the Santists, although I think it's wrong. I said that at the time, and I don't dislike him some of you, some of you are incredibly skeptical of him. I'm in an average way skeptical because we're still learning some things, and I'm always skeptical when I see certain people coalescing around I candidate been anyway, So I just wanted to make that clear since I was kind of called me out on it, and I guess we went to break last segment anyway, timeouts in order

see what else she calls me out for this segment. Quick time out, my friends, you're listening to conservative not better talking. I'm your host. Enough back in a minute. The back, my friends, Are you confused about recent health insurance changes? What the actual options are, what they're going

to be in the months and years to come. Well, if you're looking at those sorts of things, asking yourself those questions, maybe looking at changing your policy here at the end of this year, or the beginning of next, or maybe right now. I know folks are all at different places along that continuum, but typically as we get to the end of the year, that's when a lot of folks are looking at changing these things. Maybe it's for your business or your family. I encourage you to reach out to my

friend Eric Wilson at I Sell Health. I sell Health dot com is the website. Eight one five three seven two one three six three eight one five three seven two thirteen sixty three. That's Eric's number, and he'll take care of it. He's a great guy. Gotten to know him. Has been a partner of this program for several years now. Had the privilege of sitting down with Eric over breakfast earlier this year when we were in Chicago, and again a great guy. He's been on Folks. He knows a lot about

this. He's been a guest on Fox and CBS News, NBC, ABC, other outlets as well. Knows a lot about how to navigate the world of health, insurance and all around. Good guy, very knowledgeable. Isolhealth dot com, Eric Wilson check him out. Sure to tell him you heard about him here on the Todd huff Show. So other things to get to

as well. Here today, in the time that we have remaining, I do want to I wasn't going to do this, but I glanced down and I saw this here pulled up in the stack of stuff, or actually in the I got it pulled up here. It's a sound by Nancy Pelosi's on State of the Union with Dana Dana Bash is that her name? And you talk about delusionals. We've been talking about the Republican primary and debate stage and so forth. The other side of this is people trying to campaign for Biden,

people trying to set the stage up for Biden. And of course there's no reason that anyone would have to actually vote for Biden or to truly give you as a reason to do that, other than he's not named Donald J. Trump. But this is what they come up with. They're trying to convince you that the economy is good and the rest of us are just so stupid we can't understand how brilliant Biden is. This is Nancy Pelosi on with Dana Bash. Listen to this. I want to ask about the economy.

Inflation. It looks good. Let me look at the numbers. Inflation is down to just three percent. The labor market is steadily adding jobs, wages are up. Consumer sent just got to stop it. I know some of you don't like that. I have to stop it. It's down. It's like if someone goes on a binge eating spree and gains fifty pounds and then they say I lost twenty and they say it's they're down twenty pounds, but there's still up a net of thirty. And I'm not saying we can't gain

weight. I'm not picking on weight gain. I'm just saying it's not a true analysis of where we are. It's coming down because he drove it up to maximum heights, like Dwight k Shrewt wanting to raise his blood pressure so that he can lower it. I mean, it's absurd, but here's the rest of the stupid conversation is the highest since September of twenty twenty one. So there's a lot for President Biden to tout, give me a break.

So the question is about why Americans don't seem to be giving him the credit? Why are we going to all? This week found nearly six and ten Americans still disapprove of his handling of the economy. Why is that? And what does he have to do to turn out a reality? A lot of it is about messaging. Of course, I'm so proud of this president. In the two years that we were in problem majority working with him, he broke all records on the level with it King Johnson, A Franklin Roosevelt,

in terms of the caliber of legislation that he passed into Christian drugs. Again, cutting in half gives you indicet cutting in half unemployment, So why isn't what this is all? Bs? They are? They were measuring it from measuring those cuts from the height of COVID. Cut unemployment in half from the heights of COVID when they shut down the world, My goodness, I hope they could cut it in half. Should have cut it a lot more than that if you remember, Trump said there was going to be a V shape

recovery. They laughed about that. Anyway, I got to take a break. It's out of time for my friends, so tight. This is what we're up against, though back in just a minute. All right, my friends. Unfortunately, that is about all of the time that I have with

you here today, so apologize for that. There's always more stuff that you can look at at the stack of stuff, things, including something I wanted to get to and maybe we'll get to it later this week, including a SoundBite from an individual a SoundBite from an individual on MSNBC who was basically telling us that Trump should be locked up in jail prior to prior to his trial, which has been set. They moved the date for that into May.
