Episode description

Karine Jean-Pierre was forced to explain cocaine in the White House this weekend. Turns out, all press is not good press after all. This isn’t going to go away. Remember that this administration was supposed to restore our standing in the world again. Will they ultimately decide to throw Hunter under the bus?

Trump is dominating the early primary season in ways that are truly unprecedented in modern times. This is an unprecedented election in almost every conceivable way.

Ben & Jerry’s has the opportunity to lead by example for a change. Bud Light’s fall continues to be realized after the Dylan Mulvaney debacle. Miss Netherlands is a biological man.

That is right, my friends, Conservative not bitter. Indeed, I am your host, Todd Huff. Email Todd at todd huf showed dot com thoughts,

questions, feedback. Always be sure to include that adoration and praise as well Todd at todhu showed dot com. Or you can connect with this by texting one seven two one zero twenty eight thirty. I need to tell you that messaging and data rates may apply depending upon your plan, but you can text us three one seven two one zero twenty eight thirty as we are well, we respond to those. I do my best. I get behind sometimes

and I think that currently maybe maybe the case, but we do. My friends read those, and we're just locking down a few things here behind the scenes. That there's a lot, a lot in the works. Let's say that I'm dying to tell you more about it, but of course I just cannot do that just yet, So I want to start here. Karine Jean Pierre, Karine Jean Pierre told well made a statement I think over the weekend saying that the Biden family was not at the wine house lead on the days

leading up to the cocaine. That's right, actual cocaine being found at the White House. And again, as we've learned more about this, we realize that a lot of the well, the only people really that are coming in the entrance where this cocaine is reportedly to have been found are people that are kind of in the inner circle. These are not this is the vice president type. This is family members, maybe people in the inner circle of the

cabinet and so forth. This is not meant to be misunderstood, although the media would love if you misunderstood it. It's not meant to be confused with, you know, publicly accessible areas of the White House and so forth. And so they have to come up with the storyline here because or a narrative

or whatever you want to call this. They don't want to be caught holding the literal and proverbial bag here, the literal bag of cocaine, the proverbial bag of something else, So so they have to try to explain this away. Now, this is this is common. This is common when it comes to a strategy that's employed by people in managing media and just some scandals and so forth. What sometimes the the Again, I don't agree with this thinking

this this can be. I'm I'm old fashioned. I believe that honesty is the best policy. Of course, of course, what are they What are they gonna say? And I understand that, but what are they gonna say? Are they gonna say that this is Hunter Biden's bag of cocaine, that it's someone else's in the inner circle? I mean, are they going to come out and tell us that it's President Joe Biden's. I'm not suggesting that it is. I'm just saying, what are they supposed to do? Now?

I would suggest that honesty is truly the best policy. But again I might be in the minority here. Now, don't confuse minority with what is the best policy or what's the right thing to do here, because that's not how we determine moral values and so forth in this country. We'll forget about the country just period. Anywhere on planet Earth. That's not how morality is

determined how many people want you to think that. They want you to think that democracy is what determines the value the values of a society and culture. Now, obviously we have to have people who are in agreement with what these with what these values are. But I actually believe that there's moral standards that exist outside of what we prefer what we think. There is a moral law that comes that follows because there's a moral lawgiver. But that's another discussion for

another day. Suffice it to say, at this point in time, they have not they the White House have not taken the the approach that says we're going to just come out and be honest here. They're not going to do that. In fact, Kaarne Jean Pierre over the weekend, let's see what does she say here. I'm not going to play the Sunday she said, they referring to the Biden family, they were not here Friday, that would have been June thirtieth. They were not here Saturday, that would have been

July first. They were not here Sunday that would have been July second. They were not even here Monday, that would have been July third. She then says they came back on Tuesday, which was Independence Day last week. You will remember that because if for no other reason, I was only behind this microphone for three days last week, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday,

and I did not come back until after Independence Day. And I know you set your calendars by that, So you know that if Karen Jean Pierre says that the President of the United States and his family did not come back to the White House until Tuesday of last week, that was in fact July fourth, or Independence Day for those of us that love this country and believe upon believe in the principles and values upon which this nation was built and established.

So then she concludes this statement when she was asked about it, she says, so to ask that question, and what was the question? Let's go back to the question. The question that was being asked was a question basically leaving open the possibility that the cocaine could have belonged to a member of the

Biden family. I'm looking here at an article from Foxnews dot com. By the way, you can always check our stack of stuff or anything that we talk about on this program, even things that we do not get to Todhe Show dot com. Just go to the stack of stuff. You'll find it right off of the homepage. But anyway, so she says, you know, so to ask that question is incredible, actually incredibly irresponsible, actually incredibly irresponsible. And then she says, and I'll just leave it there. So

she did not respond. She just basically said, you know, they weren't here around the time that is in question, because the the cocaine was allegedly found. When was it found. It was found over the weekend that let's see here. Um, well, now I'm drawn. I think it was Sunday, which would have been July second. I'm trying to find Here we go, the illicit drugs were discovered by a member of the Secret Service on Sunday, which again would have been July second, that Sunday evening near the

West Executive hear that out the West Executive Entrance. It's not the public entrance, it's not the place where people go to get pictures in front of the wine house or whatever. It is the West Executive entrance. And according to the article here, that's of course prompted questions from the press, and you know this as well over who might have brought them into the wine house, And that's what has upset Karene John Pierre. So the strategy here is to

just test different responses, just float them out there. Deny it, deny it, double down, triple down. Say whatever you have to do, whatever you have to just do not get caught in a position of weakness. That's the modern PR way of looking at things. I'll also add that these are the same folks, and I know I'm old school. I know I'm maybe talking and there's PR professionals out there, and you think, oh, don't tell the truth. The truth is the worst thing. I just I

don't agree with that. I don't agree with that. I also don't agree with the idea, well let's just throw it all out there today. I also don't agree with the idea that all publicity is good publicity, or all press is good press. There are people who believe that. Now I understand in a certain way of thinking that I guess too. To go ahead and to quote the words of a Brad Paisley song celebrity, which was I don't know, written in the what the early two thousands, maybe the more how

does he how does he say it? The more they tear my name down, the more my price goes up. He's talking about in the song, he's talking about people who are well modern day reality stars, sort of quote unquote celebrities, people that a lot of us would say are famous for simply being famous. They're famous, not for accomplishing anything or doing something, you know, developing something. They were made famous because they got an opportunity to

go on one of these shows that people watch, whatever it is. I don't want to name any of them because I'll leave one out, but you know what I'm talking about, And they're famous because they were on a show that a lot of people watched. And so I don't agree. I don't agree with that. And I understand to a point that the more that someone's name, someone's brand or whatever is talked about publicly, the more overall awareness

there is. I understand that. And brand awareness is obviously an important thing, a thing in fact, if you if you know anything about a market a marketing formula, an old school marketing formula, it's called it's AIDA. And if you can imagine the word vertically AI, DA awareness or attention is the first A I is interest, D stands for decision, and A stands for actions. So in a direct marketing sense, the first thing you have

to do is to get people to hear about you. The next thing you have to do is get them to have interest in what you're in my case talking about, and maybe another business's case, what their product solves, or how it helps the marketplace, how it fits into everyday life or what have you. Develop an interest and get just getting someone to say, I've heard of going from I've heard of it too, I have a little bit of

that. This is in true to me. And then there's the process of making a decision, making a decision maybe to engage with the brand or the personality or what have you. And then of course the last step is the decision, well the step of action, awareness, interest, or I guess you could say attention. That's typically what people say is attention. It's a crowded marketplace. I got to get attention. And so that's where the belief comes in that says, hey, good press or bad press, it's press.

My name is out there. More people are becoming aware, and to a certain degree, I can kind of I can see the perspective. But if the way that you're being made popular, if the way that people are becoming aware of who you are, what you stand for, or in the case of the wine house, who's doing cocaine potentially allegedly ostensibly in the Oval office or somewhere where someone will be coming in the West executive interest of the White House. That is not the type of awareness that you want. Right

that there's still again it's an old school belief here. But if the only press is bad press, look at Trump, I mean Trump. The media has invested one hundred percent in developing a negative narrative, negative press, negative publicity on Trump. Now, Trump is a seasoned professional. He knows how to capitalize on that. He walks through it like teflon don as we like

to say. And so he's not he's not harmed by it in the way that many people are, because he's already established his brand with his base, with his core American voters, the core voters of the Republican Party, and they are prepared. They know that he's being maligned and attacked and lied about and all sorts of things. They understand that he's in the cross there's both of the radical left and of the establishment political class of both parties. They

understand that we understand that excuse me, and so that changes things. But if the only publicity anyone ever gets is negative, and if the only way that they get to hear about someone, say someone running for president, someone who has a talk show, or just your business, what have you? If the only thing is always negative, and that's not good. Now, what does the Biden administration have that the average person or the average business does

not. They have a complicit media, a media that is one hundred percent in on a Biden twenty twenty four campaign. Now there's still time. If it is someone else that's not Biden, who's the Democrat Party nominee, they'll certainly throw their support behind that individual as well. But as I've stated before, I mean here we are eighteen months away from I mean election. I mean we're closer to that. We're closer to the general election than eighteen months.

What are we August Septimbruckton Nomber. We're sixteen months, sixteen months away from the general election. We're basically a couple of months away from the beginning of debate season for the parties that actually have debates, which does not apparently include the Democrat Party. And then we're six months or so away from the beginning of the actual primary season when votes are being cast. If the Democrats are going to put someone up here, they better do it in short order.

I've shared before, I've heard from some of you, some of you think. One listener in particular said he thinks Biden will be out of the White House by Labor Day, that's two months from now roughly. I mean, they've got a lot of ground to cover if that's in fact the case, and I don't put it past them. I just I don't think that that's accurate. I think that I think they're stuck with this guy. I do, unless someone like Michelle Obama or Oprah Winfrey or someone decides to run.

We were on another collision course here for this to be Trump versus Biden

twenty twenty four. And so when you think about the narrative again, cocaine and the wine house, this is not something that you can just easily explain away, especially now that the media is acknowledging that this is coming from a particular part of the White House where only certain people, family members, the Vice President, maybe her family, inner circle type folks enter through this particular part of the building, and so they're stuck with this reality they're stuck with

this reality. They know bad pr is bad for the campaign. At this point, the average American is not going to be cool with this, my friends, and so they're gonna lie about it. They're going to try to deceive and connive and so forth. But the they're being backed into a corner of reality here. They're being backed into a corner of reality. That's why they're starting to come up with some explanations, explanations that make no sense.

I'm part of me thinks that strategically, the best move may literally be to throw Hunter Biden under the bus here. And I'm not predicting this because of course Joe is going to fight this and doctor Jill are going to fight this and so forth, but that maybe what they're going to have to do. Look, he relapsed, he's had a problem with drugs. He's gone through a lot, He's lost his brother, he just went through all this. He's had some cases before the court that he's you know, only got probation

on or what have you. He's not being put behind bars, he's not being put in an orange jumpsuit. They'll tell us that he's nowhere near as close to being incarcerated. As Donald Trump is, and they'll maybe try to say, look, the guy just has problems, he's relapsed. We're going to get him help. He can do the typical thing where he you know, seeks six months of therapy. That may be the best thing. As I'm thinking this out, for the for the Democrats, not for the American

people. That's certainly not the case because it's all for show here. But if they can say, look, just go to rehab for a year and a half, get through the twenty twenty four election, or at least get us through this period of time where we might be vulnerable, maybe you can come back out at some point and have your name in the headlines. Maybe right before the election, you can come out and tell us how your father, Joe, who's running as the Democrat nominee, single handedly saved your life

by getting you into therapy. I mean, these are the sorts of things I guarantee it, as sick as it sounds, are being discussed behind closed doors. I'm long in this segment as usual, it's a Monday, this is the way things go. But I wanted update you on that they're going to have to contend with this. They're going to have to address this cocaine

again, remember the underlying premise. And I've said this a lot lately, but I think it's worth repeating case there's anyone there's new ears, in case there's someone who made us need to hear this a different way, who may need to remind someone that you encounter at work, in the neighborhood, at home, what have you. Biden was supposed to be the president, that he was supposed to restore our standing in America today or in the world today,

restore America's standing in the world today. And what did he bring. He's brought cocaine to the White House, along with all the other things that we talked about, including potential major problems with alleged pay to play schemes, which of course are coming together evolving around Hunter and money being exchanged, and his being the big guy in open borders in Afghanistan and parts of the world that we've vacated that are now becoming terrorist hotspots again, inflation. There is

nothing good. But you add to this just the metaphorical black eye to the wine house that says cocaine is actually found in the wine house and it's limited to a certain number of people that are kind of in the family and or that tight inner circle. What do you do with this? They wanted to go away, but I don't think it's going to without some better explanation to what Korean Jean Pierre said over the weekend timeouts in order though, my friends,

a little bit long, actually a lot long, this segment. Next segment, I'm gonna have to get this back on track. You're listening here to conservative not better talk. I hope you're having a great day. Get back here in just a minute. Come back, my friends. As I told you last segment, I'm gonna have to dial it way back this segment to get us back on track. And I want to just reference something I saw in the Daily Caller News Foundation dot org headline here says truly unprecedented.

Donald Trump is dominating the early primary season like nothing in modern history, like nothing in modern history. And again, we need to understand and fully appreciate it. You know, this is one of the things that I think we'll see differently in hindsight after this season of American politics comes to an end, and it's going to come to an end. Now, that does that mean that I think that the embittered battle that is raging across this country, This

ideological cold civil war that's taking place. I don't think that that's going anywhere, but we will. We have to the way our system is designed, we have to have Eventually, new names, new people are going to be stepping in to the fold. But right now, I mean it, and things can change. We're still eight sixteen months away from election day. But we're getting close, is the point, right, We're getting close. Trump

is dominating the Republican field. Now, remember he's been indicted a couple of different times, federally and in Manhattan, so we've got that going on. But on top of that, on top of everything else going on, on top of a guy, on top of a guy who was in peak twice now indicted twice after his presidency, who's been had his home, his personal residence, Marlaga raided by the FBI. Right, this is all. We're in unchartered territories. He's still up in early polling by thirty points or so.

He's over He has over half of the support right now in the primary, DeSantis is about twenty percent, and then no one else is in double digits. Pence's in there at five six percent. Vvak Ramaswami, who actually like by the way, he's been trending upward as well. Then we've got people like Nicki Haley, Tim Scott, Chris Christie. I think someone said he's he's jumped in the race. Of course, I know he's been in there, but he's not gonna win. He's not going to win the nomination,

as could be said for most of these of these individuals. I mean, this is still Trump's to lose. It's because most people realize that what we have going on is an all out, an all out abusive power by our government, and we need someone who's going to fight beyond our wildest imagination to rain this back in In some ways, if this cannot be done now, I don't know how this ever gets done. I'm an eternal optimist, so I don't want to say that it cannot be done. That's not really

in my vernacular. I don't like to say that. But the truth is, the odds become increasingly more difficult, become increasingly smaller to have success the more that this goes on, and to find someone who has the same vigor and the same willingness to walk through the fire day in and day out as Donald J. Trump. So anyway, we're an unprecedented times and many for many reasons, for many reasons. So it's coming together like it or not.

That's where we're headed. We're going to have to We're going to have to fight this battle, this cold civil war, for years and for the rest of our lives. Just face it, for the rest of the life of this republic. This is what is going to happen. And the good news is people have been awakened. The good news is that people are paying more attention. The bad news is that there's still not enough people pushing in the right direction, not enough people that are trying to persuade, explain,

educate, stand firm, not be intimidated. There are still people who are apathetic, although that's wildly beyond my ability to truly comprehend how you can watch this country go downhill and just say, you know what, I'm making a pretty good living. I don't understand that. I don't know how someone like that can really honestly sleep sleep with that decision because it impacts so many other people. It's so self centered. I just I can't I can't get there.

I understand the temptation, but I can't get there and defend that that belief. So anyway, but this is where we're headed. We are, in fact in truly unprecedented at times, and we are just getting started. In my friends, quick time out though, is in order. You're listening to conservative not bitter talk. I am your host, the one, the only tod Huff back in just a minute. Welcome back, my friends. So I don't know you've followed this, but over the fourth of July,

Ben and Jerry's the what the ice cream brand? They tweeted out. What they tweeted out something about trying to find the actual tweet here, but they basically said America should return it's land to indigenous people's So, in other words, here it is. Here's the actual tweet. Nine am on July fourth. Got a little graphic in the tweet. This is what it says, this fourth of July, It's high time we recognize that the US exists on

stolen indigenous land and commit to returning it. Learn more, intake action now. And they've got they've got a link. And then the graphic says this the United States was founded on stolen Indigenous land. This fourth of July, let's commit to returning it. So one of the things that you'll note about leftists, and I should point out that Ben and Jerry are clearly radical leftists. But one of the things, if you pay much attention, you've already

noticed this. If you're new to following politics, you may be trying to wrap your head around things. But this is one of the foundational differences between a leftist and someone who likes limited government, prefers liberty, the choice of the individual, individual rights, and so forth. A conservative, a libertarian

type, a leftist, and even a liberal someone to the left. At some point along that continuum, there's a line that says they care more about telling the rest of us what to do then they actually care about doing it themselves. And so this is a major problem of the left. In fact, you might have seen, I think I've seen on social media something that says something along these lines, which is, if a conservative doesn't like guns,

he or she doesn't buy a gun. If a liberal or I would say a leftist doesn't like guns, they want to make them illegal for everyone. If a liberal or I'll say a leftist doesn't like the education system, if they, for example, just take a look at what's happening today. If a leftist thinks that a certain theory should be taught in the schools, they think everyone should be forced to adhere to that, except that as reality,

it's been well the official viewpoint of the education system. And this in the case of CRT to say this is in fact, of course I disagree with this vehemently, but this is in fact. They would say how America operates, it is systemically racist, and so you have to follow the teachings. You can't question it. You have to accept that as dogma as truth. Conservative says, hey, you can study whatever you want, but don't

force me to believe something. Don't even try to force me to believe something that I do not agree with, because I'm not going to go along with this. And it on down the line, take any issue. It's one of the reasons why I've said, and I'll say it again, that the true party of choice is well, the true movement of choice is the conservative movement, not the leftist movement. The left is lied and told people that the only choice that is worth protecting in this country today is the choice of

whether or not you can terminate the life of an unborn child. That's the choice that the Left always refers to. But the choice to exercise your Second Amendment right, the choice that you might make to communicate a belief that is not politically correct on social media or elsewhere, the choice to send your kids to private school or to homeschool, the choice to drive a diesel or a gas guzzler versus an electric vehicle. I can go on down the line.

They are not pro choice. They are not the party of choice. The radical left, the Democrat Party today they're more open. Just another example. Anytime they jet around the world. We talked about this couple of weeks ago.

They jet around the world to these climate summits where they get behind the podium and they terrify the people in the audience who are biting their nails, who are wringing their hands, wondering when humanity is going to destroy planet Earth, which that's in the news of course now too, with these high temperatures, and of course they talk about these temperatures in a certain way so as to deceive and mislead people into thinking the only solution is to yet again take

away the choices and options of people in the marketplace and force them to follow some sort of a government standard that makes us pay more. It's always more expensive for energy, limits our choices, forces us into vehicles we don't want, forces us to live in homes with set temperatures we don't want to. We don't want them set that high or in the summer, or that low in the winter, and on down the line. They believe that they have all the answers and the rest of us need to shut up and get in

line. And interestingly enough, they also believe, which is what Ben and Jerry are doing here. They also seemingly believe that the rules don't apply to them. Because I love this headline again, going back to this Vermont and Native American chief says Ben and Jerry's headquarters is on stolen land. And so there's an Indigenous Native American chief, Don Stevens. He's the chief of the Newelhagen Band of kusick Abenaki Nation. Now, if I mispronounced that in any

way, it's not intentional. It's the best that I can do. Even though I am the thirteenth great grandson of Pokahonas, I don't know how to pronounce all of these words. Just on immediate recall, here, but he says that he looks forward. He says, hey, Ben and Jerry's, it happens to be I mean, I'm paraphrasing here, it happens to be the case that your headquarters in South Burlington, Vermont is actually on western Abenaki land. And what you tweeted out on July fourth is wonderful, and we

will begin the process of reclaiming our land. And who better to start and to set the wheels in motion for the rest of us to lead by example, which is the opposite of what the left normally does. Why don't you give? Why don't you give the land that you have apparently stolen according to your tweet, according the way you think, and according to what this Native American chief says, they'll be happy to take that off of your hands.

In fact, he says that they look forward to any kind of correspondence with the brand that's been in Jerry's to see how they can better benefit indigenous peoples. So there you go. We'll see if they follow through. We'll see if they follow through or if they are only interested in telling the rest of us what they think we should do while they do whatever they want, which is typically the case timeouts in order. Though my friends sit tight. You're

listening to conservative not a bit of talk. I'm your host. Huff back in just a minute, Welcome back to my friends. I don't have time to reference one of the things well to talk more about it that I mentioned last segment, But you're gonna read about that on our stack of stuff page on the website. And that is a reference I made last segment to a well, to the way that the media is misleading us about this hottest day's ever narrative, to push climate chain, to the global warming agenda, and

so forth. So you can read that on the show notes page at todhufshow dot com. Excuse me, the stack of stuff, but I don't want to. I just don't have time to talk about something I don't want to. I just don't don't have time. Did you see Did you see, however, that bud Light is no longer in the top ten beers in America? Now, this is all the continued fallout for hiring Dylan mulvaney, who is transgendered. What's trans female is what they would tell us. That partnership

started the unravel unraveling of a dominant beer brand. Now, I'm not a drinker, I don't I don't have any ranking for bud Light, but bud Light has taken it on the chin, and not just bud Light. You know. That's what's what's sad about this is that it's not the executives that make these decisions unless they're held to account and are fired, which I believe might have happened in the case of bud Light, although the CEO when the

last time I checked was still was still in holding the position. But unless unless there's accountability and someone is fired, the people that usually pay for this are the people who are sometimes contracting with bud Light. There's been reports that a lot of these bottling companies are going out of business, some distributors are having trouble and so forth. But this dominant brand is not in the top ten any longer. The brand fell from its spot as the ninth most popular

beer last year to its current spot at fourteen. So it's fallen five spots. It's fallen five spots, and you know, this is again, I think I think people have had enough of this. They're time this being forced down their throats. Corporations who are going to try to jump on the agenda, agenda making train and so forth. The social agenda, especially when it comes to stuff like this, are in fact paying the price. So I just wanted to pass that along quick time out as in order though my friends

sit tight back in a minute, Welcome back, my friends. About all the time that we we have today, I don't have time to tell you about, although I'll mention it in passing here. At the end of the program, a biological male has been crowned Miss Netherlands Miss Netherlands and will be competing as that country's I Guess candidates in the Miss Universe pageants. So we

continue to walk into the world of delusion on this stuff. But anyway, I just wanted to share that with you in the moments that we have remaining here today. I appreciate you so much for listening, my friends. Have a great day. SDG.
