That is right, my friends, you have tuned in to America's home for Conservative not bitter Talk. I've got plenty of things to get to today.
Email should you want to be part of that conversation. Todd at Todd Huffshow dot Com can also connect with us. Let's see, well, you can also text your questions. How about how about that? Three one seven two one zero twenty eight thirty three one seven two one zero twenty eight thirty Remember, don't forget appropriate amounts of adoration and praise are required. So you've seen
by now, undoubtedly that Hunter Biden has gotten a plea deal. You've seen by now that Hunter Biden is basically has basically gotten off Scott free here. And what is he getting? What are the things that he's getting let off the hook for? Well, it's interesting, I'm glad you asked that question. By the way. It's interesting that you do ask that because because it's two of the issues that the left and the Democrat Party wail the most about.
For example, you may have heard, you undoubtedly have heard the radical left who have taken control of today's Democrat Party. You have undoubtedly heard them say we are the ninety nine sent right. And what is that in reference to? That is in reference to the majority of Americans who don't make a bazillion dollars. Basically is that they're saying, we're the the largest group of
people people that are not in the in the one percent. Obviously there's nine nine percent of everyone else, and so we don't make massive amounts of money. Let's tax the one percent. Let's stick it to the one percent. Let's make remember this as well, how about we make the rich pay their
fair share of taxes. Now this is not me saying this. I actually think while there are some people who absolutely manipulate the system, while there are people out there that are doing nefarious actions and doing some things that are dangerous to true freedom and liberty. While that is certainly the case, the idea, the idea that this nation and its taxpayers do not pay enough taxes is
absolutely ludicrous, absolutely positively ludicrous. And of course, most of the money that ends up in the coffers of the United States government comes from people, comes from people who have means. Now that's not a defense of every wealthy person, but neither should it be an indictment of them. We should We should judge individuals based upon their own actions and the things that they engage in.
For example, for example, George Soros and now his son are doing things with their money that should terrify every freedom loving American in this well, listening to this program and elsewhere today. And of course people who are not openly attacking freedom and liberty and choice and American principles and ideas, those folks
are not the same level of threat and danger as the Sorrows family. I just find it ironic that the two things that Hunter Biden has been well had been charged with and then of course ultimately he pled out of, are include arguably the two most two of the most central issues in the Democrat Party platform today, one of which again is this issue about the wealthy paying their fair
share. Where are all the leftists, by the way, who are infuriated by this, Where are all the people who tell us that we need to see more teeth in say the IRS. Biden was cool hiring what is it, eighty seven thousand IRS agents. Meanwhile, almost in the same breath,
being totally cool with his son getting off basically scott free. As it pertains to the charges that were filed regarding the payment of taxes, which is what one of the charges were, the other charge is perhaps even better, even juicier, if you will, from the leftist viewpoints, the left constantly wants to regulate firearms. The left constantly wants to pass guns that limit your ability.
That's right, your ability, my ability to purchase a firearm, to purchase ammunition, to be able to exercise our guide given rights, which is described in part in the Second Amendment to the US Constitution. The left is constantly looking for more bands on weapons, restrictions on weapons, background checks, and everything else. And I'm not saying all. I'm not saying everything is as bad as it pertains to any sort of gun laws. Some of you
list sending to me think that that is the case. I'm not saying that by definition every gun laws necessarily bad. If it's coming from a leftist, it almost always is. Maybe it even always is. But as long as it doesn't truly violate the rights that we have been given by God and that have been enumerated in the Second Amendment, then as long as it doesn't violate
that, there can be certainly, certainly some laws. But the Left always wants more laws, and in the meantime don't appear to be enforcing the very laws that they put there to protect Americans from gun violence. And so Hunter Biden, well, this is a heck of a story, by the way, and I only know this from reading Miranda Devine's book Laptop from Hell, and I forget I think it's near the end, maybe the final third of the book. I forget exactly, but somehow a firearm that was purchased by
Hunter Biden. Either he put it, you'd have to. I'm forgetting a couple of details, but it ends up literally in the trash. And I think I can't remember if he asked his girlfriend. There's a lot of drama, as you can imagine in that book. I feel like it might have even been his former sister in law, who he started dating after his brother passed away tragically from brain cancer. I can't remember if he asked her to
do it. If he did it himself, there was there's texts about it, I believe, on the laptop, and so so that that weapon that I believe was, I think it found its way to a trash can. But even beyond that, beyond that, there is there are laws again that the left undoubtedly at some point told us was going to prevent gun violence in this country that if you didn't vote for it, you were in favor of some innocent child or someone else being shot. This is how they do this
sort of thing. And meanwhile, the law that was passed is the very law that Hunter Biden broke per his plea deal. He admits to breaking the law he admits to and what ultimately what it is is when he was filing his um you know, filling out the paperwork, there's a question I believe on the application that asks about illegal drug use and if you if you are using drugs illegally, you're not supposed to be able to legally purchase a firearm. And he was able. I think I think he lied on it,
but he broke the law. Is ultimately what happened as it pertained to filing that paperwork, and nothing happens. Remember, these are the same people that constantly want more background checks, more this, more that, more snooping in your history. They want red flag laws. They want people to be able to say, man, I think my name could be dangerous, and then for law enforcement officers to be able to come in and claim that individual's guns
because someone claimed that that person might be dangerous. Meanwhile, they aren't even enforcing these laws. Now you can say, Tad, they did enforce it. They charged him, They did enforce it. You know, he actually had to stand stand up there and and be charged and all this. They he had to plead guilty. You know what his sentences His sentence is. I think two years of probation. You try, do you try to break
these two laws and have your name be Donald J. Trump? Do you does anyone listening to my voice think that probation would have been would have been in the cards for Trump? Is that what we really want to believe the the Plea agreement would be ultimately, how it would ultimately come out. Is that really what we think? Of course, not people calling for the death penalty over this. They would think this was the most heinous crime in the
history of the United States of America. And again I think that it is awfully, awfully interesting that the crimes Hunter Biden has been charged with. And now basically I don't even think given a slap on the wrist. I don't think he was given even a tiny little reprimand he gets probation. He gets to walk freely. Forget it, by the way, forget if you're Trump. What if you're some young you know, some some young kid, twenty two year old, young kid who's been charged with these crimes, do you
think you get off with probation? I think so, I don't, I don't seem to think so. I imagine this even worse. What if you're in District attorney District Attorney Alvin Bragg's district in Manhattan. You think if you get caught lying on a paper on an application about whether or not you're legally permitted to have a firearm or not, do you think for a moment you're not going to have the book thrown at you. Well, assuming you're a Republican, if you're a Democrat, we see what we see what happens.
If you're in the protected class and the protected political class, we see what happens. This is this is absolutely pathetic, the double standard. Trump's Trump's right, by the way, if you will talk about his response on truth Social here as the program unfolds. But Trump is exactly right in that there is a double standard. And it seems as though every time a leftist or someone who is in the accepted political class faces some sort of charges and allegations
and so forth, the punishment is not the same. It is not the same if they were someone who's from say, Donald Trump's circles. I mean, you look at the It is beyond reasonable to conclude that these two cases have been handled anywhere near anywhere near the same level of fairness with the actual intent of justice being the outcome. That's absolutely not what has happened in these in these two cases. Now, of course, they amp it up,
they hype it up, they overdramatize it. When it comes to Trump, they minimize it, they hide it, they downplay it when it comes to Hunter Biden or a leftist or even an establishment Republican unless they think, unless they think that they can use leverage in going after that Republican to possibly turn a seat blue or what have you. But they're going to protect their own This is abundantly clear. This is crystal clear to anyone who has eyes to
see, because this is this is an affront to justice. This is not actual and true justice. This is games. These are games. This is a well, it's a mockery, is what it is. It is a double standard. There's the standard that Trump must adhere to, and there's the standard that the radical left, the Democrat Party and even some Republicans in the establishment have to meet, and that, by the way, is infinitely smaller. The bar is so low I don't even know that it can be said
to have been raised at all. It's basically on the floor, and if you're in the accepted political class, you get a free pass. That's certainly what it looks like to me, my friends, that's certainly what it looks like to me. So lots of spinoffs of this story, including including perhaps the stupidest thing I heard all day yesterday. That's Sunny hostin from the View. From the View, So that kind of speaks for itself. That shouldn't
be too shocking to hear that. But she's got some comments. She thinks that this actually is indicative of something altogether different than what I think, and probably what you think as well. We've got that to get to. We've got Trump's remarks and a lot of other stuff in today's stack of stuff. But I'm going to take a time out here, my friends. You are listening to conservative not better talk. I am your host, the one, the only, the beloved Todd Huff back in a minute. Welcome back,
my friends. So another way of putting this, another way of putting this plea deal for Hunter Biden, is that the radical left, the media, the Democrat Party, the establishment, our system of justice is totally fine going after you, going after me, going after the average people, going after people that these eighty seven thousand irs agents that Biden is just salivating to get employed, put them into positions to go after people who are defrauding the government.
As they would say it, it's much that's Look, no one is trying to defend people who don't pay taxes, well, who don't pay their taxes, except for people who are defending Hunter Biden. But there aren't. It's not always that cutting dry. Sometimes there's there's mistakes, there's different opinions on some issues. When you get into complicated or more complicated tax issues, you could potentially have five different accountants tell you five different ways to handle something.
I mean, this is not always not always cutting dry. Sometimes it clearly is. I'm not trying to excuse everything, but the point is that they're prepared. They the government, they Biden, They President Biden and the people in his administration, the radical left, the Democrat Party are totally fine sicking the IRS on you eighty seven thousand more agents. What are they? They act like they're not going to go after regular people. Of course they're
going to go after regular people. What in the world do they think these folks are going to be doing. I know that people who work in government are not known for their efficiency. There may be some exceptions in this audience, but just in general, you know what I mean, just because of the nature sure of it. There's no there's no competitive forces, there's nothing, there's nothing external that creates pressures to drive down costs and become more efficient
except the taxpayer. And now the taxpayer, with these additional IRS agents, is in the metaphorical crosshairs or maybe the literal crosshairs of the IRS, and by extension, of course, the federal the federal government. So they're cool if it's hunter Biden. They're not if it's you, they're not if it's me. So that's to me, that's that's the takeaway here, And of
course it's it's the double standard. They preach about these gun laws and the laws that you don't support or I don't support, and how we're part of the problem. Meanwhile, they literally have one of their own breaking a gun law that's supposed to be one of those laws that keeps people from killing people with firearms. Hunter Biden breaks it, literally breaks it. Felony charge, doesn't matter, last name is Biden. It's just it's reprehensible, is what
it is, Absolutely, without doubt reprehensible. The other the other part of this deal, to put a little bit more substance to it, I'm looking here at an article at the Daily Wire. You can also see the Washington
Post's report on this if you want, if you want to. But anyway, the Washington Post originally reported that Hunter Biden, who has again I'm reading from this article at the Daily Wire, who has been facing a multi year investigation by officials, negotiated a deal with the Delaware US Attorney David Weisse. Hunter will plead guilty to failing to pay about one hundred thousand dollars in taxes for two thou seventeen and for failing to pay a similar amount for two eighteen.
Those two tax charges are misdemeanors. So no, no jail time for any of this. No jail time for any of this. Meantime, meanwhile, they're accusing President Trump of violating not the Presidential Records Act, No, no, no. Instead, he's violating, they say, they say, the Espionage Act. He's actually putting America's secrets at risk, according to these
lovers of the double standard. He's putting America's secrets at risk, putting us at risk from people finding out about those because he's got documents at Marlago. Forget about Biden's documents in his garage next to his classic corvette. Forget about Mike Pence's documents. Forget about what's happened with previous presidents and Bill Clinton and Sandy Burger and everything else. Forget about all that stuff, because they have.
All that matters is what Trump's done now. I don't think it should be a standard form of defense to say, well, somebody broke the laws, someone else should be able to. That's that's not my point in making those pointing those those things out, My point is that why aren't they charged, meaning meaning if they didn't rise to the level of criminality in previous people, what's different this time? I'm I'm not saying they were guilty and they
were let go, so Trump should be. I'm actually saying kind of the opposite, which is, if that did not raise to the level of criminality under previous presidents, then why what is different this time? And we all know what's different this time. It's a guy that doesn't play by the same
rules. It's a guy that candidly stands to potentially destroy, destroy what these lovers of the big government in the bureaucratic state have have erected after all these years, this kind of temple to themselves where they can basically get as much money and retirement and hour that they want, live high on the hog while the rest of us, while the rest of us jokers are well paying our fair share and then some. And if we don't pay our fair share and
taxes, they'll sick the IRS agents on us. It's a mess, my friends, it truly is. So Trump's response to all this on social media and I'll read this really quickly, then I'll take a break. Trump responded on social media. This was yesterday morning about ten am. Wow, he writes on truth Truth social to corrupt Biden. DJ just cleared up hundreds of
years of criminal liability by giving Hunter Biden a mere traffic ticket. In quotation marks our system is broken when the House of Representatives, my friends, the Republican led House, forms a a committee whose purpose is to investigate the weaponization of the federal government. This is just one little part. This is what we're witnessing. Here is one little part of what that could look like.
The weaponization where these criminal charges and allegations and so forth are used to target target the Republican former president, current front runner of the Republican Party, weaponizing that whole process to prevent him from winning the nomination becoming our president. They know they're going to have their hands full if it's Trump versus Biden or whatever other lunatic they put on the ticket there. It's still in my opinion,
I get messages from some people. Some people think somebody wrote in recently and told me he thinks Biden is going to be out by Labor Day, which I think is pretty ambitious to be honest, and I said that that's only it's only what two and a half months, is that right? Seventy five days? I mean, that's a lot of Biden's gonna be hiding in the closet, hide in the basement between now and then. Now, of course, they could turn on him at any moment, and maybe that's what turns
out to be the case. I don't see it that way. I don't see it that way at all. Also, ironically, the date has been set for Trump's trial to begin. Buckle up for this. By the way, it's gonna start August the fourteenth. It's gonna start August the fourteenth. And in unrelated news, just purely coincidental, the first Republican debate is going
to be August twenty third, so nine days prior. Just totally coincidental and totally an unrelated news, Trump's trial will begin nine days before the first presidential debate, which, by the way, I don't think Trump is even committed to going yet, because if I'm not mistaken, some of the conditions for attending that debate include one of the conditions includes it was the case because I remember reading it to you. One of the conditions is to basically commit to
supporting whoever it is that wins the Republican nomination. And we all know what Trump did in regards to that in twenty sixteen when he refused to raise his hand on stage saying he would support the eventual nominee of the party while everyone else had their hands up, and he was mocked at the time. He was mocked at the time, but Trump said, look, I don't know
what these folks are going to do. I don't want to support them if I'm not really sure that they're going to do the right thing, if they're going to be in the right side of the issues. Besides, I'm gonna win anyway, So what's the point. It's kind of how Trump looked at it anyway. Now they're actually wanting people to sign a pinky pledge, and Trump's not going to do that. So I can't imagine I'm doing that anyway anyway, So who knows if he's even gonna be at the first debate.
If he's going to be at the first debate, it's going to be nine days after the start of his trial. That's why I say, I mean, my friends here in the next couple of months this is all about to erupt, and it's going to be intense all the way through election day and even beyond that. I mean, this is not going away anytime soon, but timeouts in order. My friends, sit tight listening to conservative not better talk. I'm your host, Tod Huff back in a minute. Welcome back,
my friends. So I want to play this SoundBite. This is Jonathan Carl from ABC News on the View. Whoopie Goldberg asks him to explain the charges and what's going on with Hunter Biden. She also asks if this has anything to do with the laptop, anything at all to do with the laptop.
I want to play this because at the conclusion of his remarks, you'll hear Sunny Houston jump in with what I think is the dumbest thing I heard all day yesterday, and that is comments that basically where she comes out and says she thinks that this proves that no one is above the law. I can't I just you can't make this up. Here you go, my friends.
Here is Jonathan Carl's response to Whoopie's question, and again you'll hear Sonny Houston at the conclusion of his remarks, this has absolutely nothing to do with the laptop actually, although the investigation may well have looked into the laptop. But what this is about. Hunter Biden failed to pay taxes on more than a one point five million dollars in the income in both twenty seventeen eighteen.
He has pled guilty to two misdemeanors for failure to pay those taxes. Separately, the Justice Department, through this special prosecutor, has filed charges on a gun charge. Did Hunter Biden failed to disclose his drug problem when he purchased a firearm in twenty eighteen. That's a felony charge. The charge has been entered, but there's a diversion agreement. He's going to have to take regular drug testing. He won't actually be penalized for that. He has not actually
pled guilty to it. But these are criminal charges. Republicans will call him a slap on the wrist. But the Hunter Biden now has a criminal record. Yeah, and that's how they wanted, right well, And it shows that no one is above the law, which is important, not even the president's son. Let me ask you this, and it showed because she dison Sonny Hasten. There she jumps in and she says it shows that no one
is above the law. Is that your take on this? Do you think if you were doing drugs and you lied as to whether or not you were legally allowed to own that firearm? Do you think do you think that you would get this metaphorical slam. I'm not even it's a slap on the wrist. It's just you know, every once in a while, hunter, you gotta go sit down and report to your probation officer. I mean, it's
it's an absolute joke, to be quite honest. Do you think, Sonny Houston, if you or if Trump were caught lying about drug use, which is again, if you're getting a firearm a felony, you think she would be so understanding? Do you think she would think that this was justice? Give me a break, give me an absolute break. This is actually she's one hundred percent wrong on this. This is actually proof that there is a two tiered justice system. Trump is right, Sonny Houston is wrong. But
then again, my friends, what else is new? Quick time out, plenty more to get to after the break see it? Then welcome back, my friends. Odds is all cozy in the studio today with her my slippers on. She pointed, that out to me earlier. By the way, if you want to shop for my pillow, my slippers, sheets, towels, heck even dogbedgs like Echo and Tango have, you can go to my
pillow dot com slashtodd My pillow dot com slash Todd. Use promo code look at that, I got it right, promo code Todd to save up to eighty percent on some items. You can check out the slippers again, the towels, the sheets, my pillow dot com slashtod use promo code Todd. So I want to shift gears here a little bit and share with you a conversation. I tell you what this tell me you've been in Washington, DC too long without telling me you've been in Washington, d C too long.
So we have a group of journalists, so called journalists, make believe journalists, pretend journalists on CNN, and they're perplexed. They're trying to figure out Dana Bass is leading this conversation. So but they're trying to figure out why I'm not joking. This is going to sound like a joke, but it's not. The punchline is actually the setup, because there is no joke. It's so crazy that you can't wrap your you can't get there with the setup
because it's preposterous to believe what she's saying. She's trying to figure out why Americans are not giving the Biden administration more credit for the six for the success, the success of all sorts of things in his administration, but in particular here for the economy. That's right, and so these I want to be nice, these this cast of clowns here is sitting around pontificating as to what
the problem is. And I just want you to listen to this because all this, all of this is done, This is all part of the performance to persuade people now that it's getting serious, to hey, you know what, it's not as bad as you might believe under Biden. That's what's going on here. Listen to this about the frustrations that I know you here covering the White House. It is incredibly deep for them that there have been from
their perspective, economic gains and that they're not getting credit for it. And just look at the latest when I the act pole members that we can put up on the screen and it really actually shows well, first of all, if you look at now thirty eight percent approve of Biden's handling of this economy that's fifty seven percent disapproved, and they believe it's because they can't get their
message. And I think to some degree this it cuts both ways. And it's a contradiction that that I always kind of to somebody get a kick out of, and talking to the administration officials who make the point that it's filming. We're not here to get the big flashing headlines. We're governing, all right, We're getting stuff done, we have a legislative record, and those
two things don't necessarily come together. Right. If you don't want to make the headlines, if you don't want to drive the news necessarily, maybe people aren't going to pay attention to a resume they don't want to make the news. Biden's up there humbly. I mean, he's inviting people to the wine house who are ripping their clothes off. Do you not think that that's trying to get some attention? My goodness, what on earth was this guy's last
name? Is Mattingly? Phil or Bill? It doesn't These journalists they're all the same, I know, and that's not in personal attack, but this is not a serious conversation this is not serious. This is not serious. But he's got a little bit more to say. And there's actually another individual on the panel that chimes in here in a minute that I'll want you to hear that as well. But he continues, I heard that you believe should
resonate. They've been confronting this for the entirety of their time and offense things that they thought that they succeeded on a record that they thought people should absolutely respond to in a positive manner. That people just don't seem to be able to settle on it because the administration is challenged by In addition to what Phil just laid out, is that what people are feeling at home it's different than
the message they're portraying, and they understand that there's a conflict there. They do have a record, they do have accomplishments, but they also know that people at home still think gas is too high. It might be lower than what it was a year ago, but they still say there's pain at the pump, the same thing at the grocery store. So it's hard for them to receive a message from the president. It's a line saying, hey,
you guys are doing better. Look what I've done. It's just I think there's a disconnect there that quite frankly, there's there's no easy answer for how the White House deals with that disconnect because they kind of don't really have a way to fix it because true stunt on their side, and you talk about a disconnect, Yes, there certainly is a disconnect. There's a disconnect between
that panel and reality. I mean, it's remarkable what she says there, if you stop and think about it, she's basically saying she's basically saying that, you know, what the Biden administration is telling people is opposite or runs contrary to what they're experiencing personally. And she's right. But it's like she doesn't stop and realize, Huh, that's kind of the problem. Maybe the administration's wrong, and maybe what people are experiencing at home isn't. Maybe they
should care about that. Maybe the administration call me crazy here, but maybe the administration should focus on actually doing things that make life better for the American people instead of doing things that make it harder to survive in this country and then want to patch yourself on the back for it. What in the world is this cast of clowns up you're talking about people feel pain at the pump
because gas is too high. And by the way, they want to again, they want to high five and a pat on the back for lowering gas prices. It's still not where it was when he took office, so it's it reminds me again, as most things do. It reminds me of the office. Dwight K. Shrewt tells Jim Halpert that he can raise and lower his blood pressure at will, and Jim asks, seemingly a good question, why do you raise it, to which Dwight responds, so I can lower
it. That is what we're dealing with here. So you raise the gas prices to an astronomical level, then they drop a percentage of how much you raise them. You don't want any of the blame. Another Office quote when Michael Scott says, I would like all of the credit with none of the blame. David Biden wants all of the credit and none of the blame. He wants the credit for bringing it down, but bringing it down from a
high that he and his administration contributed to. And by the way, one other thing about that, this idea, this idea, and I look, policies matter things that things that presidents do, things that you know, the administration does, things that Congress does. These things impact the economy, But the president does not create jobs. The president does not set the cost of
gasoline and so forth. However, the president sets the conditions puts is responsible for creating some of the conditions in the marketplace to which the market then has to respond. And if I've gone through this before, the conditions that make businesses comfortable are lacking here. Businesses don't have good reasons to believe that they can trust the people making decisions in our government today. The decisions that they
make usually lead to more regulation. More regulation means making something more expensive to bring to market, more expensive to produce, more expensive to market, and everything else. It means businesses are less likely to take risks. I mean, for example, with the push that we have towards electric vehicles, why on earth would people would businesses want to start, you know, gas stations or invest too much in delivering more economical fuel to the pumps, because they're
never going to realize the return on that investment. If we're going to be forced artificially through government policies into electric vehicles, which is what's happening, by the way, one of many things that's happening anyway. I'm actually a little bit ahead of myself here today on the time. I'm going to pat myself on the back to a Joe Biden here. But a quick time out is in order, my friends. You're listening to conservative not better talk. I'm
your host, Tod Huff Back in just a minute. Welcome back, my friends. Not a lot of time here maning today. I know it's the saddest part of the day, and I can understand why you can always go back and listen to episodes of this show. In fact, there's going to be more content here coming soon, but I can't wait to tell you about that anyway. Here's something that's coming to America soon. Headline brightmart New Zealand
quote equity adjusters score asks surgeons to prioritize non white patients. That's right, my friends, in New Zealand, there is a government. What I want to say here, there's a score. There's a scorecard that surgeons are going to be asked to follow and adhere to, and it's going to give preference to people who are non white as it pertains to getting an operation or treatment or surgery or what have you coming to American next? This is coming.
We all know that this sort of thing is coming, completely indefensible, but yet here we are. All the other ideas of the left art as well. But anyway, time's telling me it is time to wrap it for the day. My pleasure to be here, and my friends, have a great day. SDG.
