Attention. You're listening to the top Huff radio show, America's home for conservative not bitter talk radio. The advice the content of this program has been documented to prevent and even cure liberalism, and listening may cause you to lean to the right. Here's your conservative but not Bitter host, Tod Huff.
All right, my friends, we've got a lot of things to get to today. The stack of stuff is long today either way. If you want to see what's in that stack stuff, just go to the website Toto show dot com and right there from the homepage you will see a term that is labeled that is called the stack of stuff. This is, of course a hat tip to the late great Rush Limbaugh. He had his stack of stuff. We got hours as well. I do that
to honor him. For those that don't know, if you may be a new listener, that is, Rush was the most influential by far. In fact, I say the most. I may go as far as saying almost the only if I really stop and think about it. It's not that I don't think other people have done good things. I just think that everyone else was playing for a very very very distant second place. You know, it might surprise you. The two main influencers on this program, Rush
was number one number two. This might surprise you, but it's not for reasons that you might initially think. It's not because of the content or anything like that, but Dave Ramsey, I like, what Dave Ramsey has done is a guy that's basically I mean, he's self syndicated himself and built his own team. And actually now as he's starting to phase out, which who knows, who knows what
will happen here. I don't know if if we'll phase out and start the conservative not bitter brand of speakers or whatever like Ramsey kind of has in his space. But anyway, those are the influencers on this program and I try to honor and recognize them as we can. So the stack of stuff is in honor of Rush. So there's lots of stuff in it today. If you want me to talk about something in particular, if you want to share a story, you're welcome to do that. It might find its way into the stack of stuff.
Todd at Toddhufshow dot com is how you can do that, or you can text three one seven two one zero twenty eight point thirty Before we get rocking and rolling here today. So we have Kamala and Trump scheduled to debate on September the tenth, September the tenth.
And there's been some fireworks about this over this here in the past well twenty four hours or so, but it's a persistent sort of thing Trump posted on. Was this on Twitter or was this on truth Social Maybe it was on both. I'm not sure. I think it was Twitter, believe it or not. Here we go that this post when Oz sent this to me yesterday. It's been everywhere since then. But Oz, Oz has a knack. Oz has a knack. Look you can't see her. She is eating this up right now, holding her coffee mug
in her my pillow slippers today. Look at this, I mean, she is just eating us up. She has a knack of getting information quickly in sharing that with me, and so she got this to me early on before I saw this anywhere else. This post by Trump, which I don't know, if there's anything this may be the most Trump Like post of all time. This thing is rich with so much. There is so much to unpack in this thing. Here it is. You're ready for this. You
may have read this. I love this. I have reached an agreement with the radical left Democrats for a debate with Comrade Kamala Harris. Can I tell you something this may surprise you. I don't know. This is the truth. I don't know. Some of you may not believe I'm telling you this is the truth. I don't like to use nicknames that other people use. And I don't remember. I've noticed since I started calling Comrade Kamala Comrade Kamala, that I wasn't the only one that came up with that.
I hadn't seen. I hadn't seen that. I don't know if my head was just you know, down on the ground or what. But and I know, obviously I sometimes joke and say, Trump's been listening to this program. He's been using the nickname. I think he. I think he started using it before before I did. I just didn't. I didn't see it anywhere. I thought, this is actually a good nickname. And now I see it all over the place. And it's not because they stole it from me,
and it's not because I stole it from them. We just somehow came to the same conclusion here. But nonetheless, Trump may have been listening to this program still, but I love how Trump again. In the first sentence, he's talking about the radical left Democrats and comrade Kamala Harris, you know, immediately painting the picture that we are up against. We're up against, up against it, my friends, excuse me,
it will be a it will be broadcast live. I'm also interested in the way that Trump decides to capitalize certain words, like he capitalizes radical left Democrats, which I capitalize radical left two. Now, a lot of folks would say, you don't capitalize that, but see that's the name of them for me, so I capitalize it. He capitalizes debate. I don't know why. Then he capitalizes broadcast live. I don't know what it is that makes him do these things, but it interests me for some reason. It will be
broadcast live, he says on ABC fake news. Those are in all caps, ABC fake News by far the nastiest and most unfair newscaster in the business. On Tuesday, September tenth, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. So we are two sentences in. Now Trump has somehow interjected the terms radical left democrats, Kamala excuse me, Comrade Kamala, ABC fake news, and he's put in some adjectives here nastiest and most unfair newscaster in the business. That's in the first two sentences. We're only
about a third of the way through this thing. The rules will be the same as the last CNN debate, which we're going to talk about this in a moment, the last CNN debate, which seemed to work out well for everyone except perhaps crooked Joe Biden. So that's true. I mean, remember, up until this debate, the left was telling us, the media was telling us, the seven pillars of propaganda, were telling us that Joe Biden was totally fit for office. They had no idea why Trump was
acting like something was wrong with Biden. They thought that it was just politics as usual for people to criticize Biden's mental fitness. They didn't understand why conservatives like me would have a problem with some of these behaviors and pauses and momentary complete just absence of thought. With Joseph Robinette Bribery. They acted as though he was the guy up until this debate. You remember this. June twenty seventh was that first. I remember it because it was the
day before my son's fifteenth birthday. That's why I remember that date. But anyway, he continues here, the debate will the debate against capitalized will be quote stand up and candidates cannot bring notes or cheat sheets. Now what is this about? Well, I'm going to pause. You should I actually, I'm gonna read the rest of this and come back to this. We have also been given assurance by ABC
that this will be a quote fair and equitable debate. Again, debate is capitalized, and that neither side will be given the questions in advance, and then in parentheses it says no Donna Brazil this I this may be my favorite Trump post ever. This is rich with content right here. Harris would not agree to the Fox News debate on September fourth, but that date will be held open in case she changes her mind or flip flops, as she has done on every single one of her long held
and cherished policy beliefs. A possible third debate, which would go on NBC fake News, has not been agreed to by the radical left. God bless America. Also in all caps this, folks, I cannot tell you when Oz sent this to me. What did I respond with? I can't remember what I said, but it is absolutely it is absolutely, I said so much to digest there, but I love it in all caps. So what is going on here? Let's look at a little bit of the detail surrounding this,
shall we? So first you'll notice where I wanted to pause and actually talk about it and come back, but I thought, no, let's read this in its entirety and then come back and hit some of the high points along the way. Here. The debate will be stand up, Trump says, almost exactly halfway through this tweet or post of the decade, Trump says, it will be a stand up debate. Now what does that mean? Right?
I don't know.
You know, I'm a student of this. I followed this for a long time. You know. We would talk about some of these sorts of things when I was in college one hundred and fifty years ago, Butler University political science. We would talk about, you know, just different things in politics, whether it be international politics or what a certain political party or political philosophy stood for, different things like that.
Sometimes it would get into the minutia of you know, presidential politics and debates and historical things and that sort of stuff. But this concept of standing up during a debate, So it may you may have to go back in your memory a bit. But there are debates from time to time that take place sitting down. In fact, I seem to recall I seem to recall vice president presidential debates taking place in a seated fashion. I don't know
if I can remember. Maybe Obama and Romney had one sit down debate now that I'm thinking about this, but it's not common. Typically, what happens is you've got a debate stage, You've got two podiums, You've got candidates at each podium, and then they are asked questions. Sometimes the rules allow for opening and closing statements. Sometimes, I mean, there might be variations, but you know, the basic I guess general style. One is that they're standing in another
is that they are sitting. Well, according to Trump's team, Kamala had wanted to change the debate rules heading into this debate. Now, let's back up another half step. When Trump originally agreed to debate dates and so forth, who was he agreeing to these with. Well, his team was agreeing to a schedule with Biden's team. Remember Biden was the nominee. I know this is in politics that seems like it was five hundred years ago, but Biden was
the party's nominee. This was before. This was before the very undemocratic Democratic Party, the very party that tells us is trying to save our democracy, did something in a very anti democratic way in the way that it kicked Joe Biden to the curb. Now, I will tell you, and I've said this, and I'm a fair guy, the party rules absolutely allow for them to do what they did to Joseph Robinette Bribery. I mean, Biden says he wanted to drop out. They've already gone through their primary
and caucus. You know, Biden resigned effectively from being the party's nominee. If he had not done that, the rules were different. The rules were, Hey, you've got to cast your ballot your first time through. You're supposed to cast it for the person that you were sent there to nominate. Remember what happens. Again, We've been through this. I don't
want to over go through it too much. But basically, whenever you have the rules, excuse me, whenever someone wins a primary or wins your caucus in the state for your party, Right Republicans, in the same way, there are rules that say they get all of the delegates, or they get some sort of a proportion of the delegates, it might depend upon a specific state. And then these delegates are actually people. In fact, when you cast a ballot for Joe Biden or Trump or Kamala or whoever.
Hopefully it's not Joe Biden or Kamala, but if you cast a ballot in the primary, you're actually voting for one of their delegates, and that's another person that's then going to go to to the convention, to the convention that was held in Chicago. In the case of the Democrats, here just uh was that was that two weeks ago? I? Last week? Was that? She was? That was just last week?
Seems like a long time ago anyway, So you sent an actual person there, and that person had applied or gone through a process to become a delegate for the candidate. So these are not just regular people, well I mean the regular people, but they are people who are committed. They they're excited. I don't know how they found enough of these people to be excited for Biden, but they they're really the most what do you want to say, the most pre try uh? I want to say tried
and true. They're just entered them. Well, they're committed supporters of an individual. So then when they go to the convention, if some shenanigans happen, right, and there's you know, if there's a contested convention or an open convention as there could have been, right, if Kamala did not secure enough delegates, and if they didn't do this behind the scenes stuff, this virtual convention vote that they ended up doing, it
could have been messy at the Democratic Convention. There could have been a bunch of back and forth when it came time to cast those ballots. Well, again, they did it.
It was for show at the convention. But if they didn't have the vote done virtually before the convention, and Kamal hadn't secured enough gotten enough pledges from delegates heading into that convention, and there was someone else that would have been running, which all those things were, at least on paper theoretically possible, Democrats made sure they didn't happen. Democrats slammed the door. Democrats have slammed the door on
people left and right throughout this campaign. I mean, they allowed Marianne Williamson to go up there because you know, I mean, she's even by Democrat standards, it's clear that she's a little bonkers. And then for you know, RFK Junior, they shut him out. They did the same thing to Bernie Sanders. They forced him out in twenty twenty by getting by asking everyone else to set aside and support Biden.
So it's been a very undemocratic process. It's completely legitimate by their rules, but it's a bit ironic to hear the parties tell us that they want to save our democracy when they are doing anything but letting the people in their own party decide. So when that before all that stuff took place, and before Biden completely collapsed and they could no longer defend him, right, that's really what happened. At that first debate. They realized that he had lost,
he had blown all of his political cover. There was nowhere else for them, no way else for them, no other way for them to defend him, and so they realized they had to replace him. And so from that moment on, we had a new candidate, or the beginnings of the process of getting us to a new candidate, which is now officially who is now officially Kamala Harris. So, but all these debate schedules were agreed to with Biden. So when Kamala comes in, there was some immediate back
and forth about well when are we having debates? Well are we not going to keep the current debate schedule? And then Trump would capitalize on some of this because again Trump uses whatever he has at his disposal to communicate a point, and he made some comments along the way, I don't know we have in this debate or not. Is she going to you know, she may not be their candidate. Why are we scheduling more debate dates? Why are we confirming things they've already changed it on me once.
I don't know that she's going to be the nominee. By the time September tenth comes around, Democrats might have another candidate that's going to have another set of rules and another list of demands. And so this is the game, right, this is Trump try again. He's illustrating the absurdity of what's going on here by being a little bit dramatic and hyperbolic himself. But then it becomes clear that you know, we're close enough now September tenth is only what a
couple of weeks away, so they're finalizing these debate rules. Well, if you go back to June twenty seventh, The Biden team was insistent that Trump that the microphones be cut whenever the candidate wasn't speaking. In fact, you might remember us talking about that a little bit on here. I
was a fan of the microphones being turned on. Now, I mean I don't I don't think no, I don't think anyone likes it when it turns into you know, some of these things where it's just, you know, one candidate can't be heard because the other one's constantly interjecting. But I do like, I do like the instinctive reactions that say, Trump might have to something that Biden might say, and it could be quite influential to some people who are I don't know, for some reason, would still be
undecided here. But for some of those one liners and just reactions, it just makes it a little bit more entertaining to me. And so they took that away. Biden was insistent upon it, Trump agreed to it. Well, now Kamala wants those mikes turned back on. In addition to that, she wants the debate sitting down, which I mentioned at the beginning, and again according to Trump's team, she also wanted to be able to bring notes to the meeting, which Trump referred to her here in this post as
a cheat sheet. So anyway, they've gone through all of this and they've come to agreement, it will be standing. I think the mics are going to be off. I'm going to talk about that on the other side of the break because I'm up against it here. I believe the mics are going to be off. They're going to
be standing, and there will be no notes. You can take notes during the debate, but you can't go up there with the cheat sheet, you know, a cheat sheet like Biden would have at a press conference with pictures of journalists and who to call on and for all we know, and advance warning on the question. So lots to go through with this situation, with the debate, and we'll continue that on the other side of this upcoming break.

in order. We're gonna continue to go through this post made by Trump, giving some background information and walking through this as we square up as the Kamala and Trump campaign really just get started here, my friends. So timeouts in order. You're listening to conservative not bitter talk I am your host, the one, the only Todd Huff, the benevolent dictator, here behind the microphone. Back in just a minute,
my friends. So I was talking about the well ward we're heading next week as we head not next week following him here in a couple of weeks, as we head into the debate. This campaign is really just starting. And I set us up for this correctly. I'm here as the sherpa, as the guide through the political tumult and craziness. But we knew that the Democrats had the energy. Right, they replaced their guy on the ballot, Joe Biden. They got rid of the guy that was the weekend of
Bernie's candidate, and they replaced him with Kamala. And then, of course there's the excitement because Kamala can be the first female president, the first Black female president, the first Indian American female president, the first Asian Pacific Islander female president, the first president to tell a story that was plagiarized
from Martin Luther King Junior about wanting freedom. The first I mean, you know how this goes, just whatever it is, the first of this, the first of that, whatever, it just it excites these folks. And so you got all that, And Kamala, look, she says stuff that is crazy, and she's she never answers the questions I saw a clip before, I don't have it in the stack of stuff. She was asked a question, and I'm telling you, her answer
is absolutely embarrassing. It is for for a person who thinks and actually tries to take seriously what she's saying, it is. It is embarrassing some of the stuff that she says, you know, things like would you just fall out of a coconut tree or whatever it is that she says at these uh in these in these moments, But it excites people because at least there's life and vitalent, vitality in this in this campaign, there's personality. Poor poor
Joe was just up there occasionally screaming at people. That's a fact, Jack, right, that kind of stuff. So Kamal, it can be the cool ant. Tim Walls comes along. That was of course something that captivated people as well. Tim Walls is the fun dad. He's a guy that was a football coach, a teacher, He hunts, he wears camo hats. This guy graduated with twenty four kids, none of them went to Yale. He's from Minnesota. You know,
it's just this friendly, friendly Midwestern states. I mean, it's just it's just a match made in heaven, right, And so we rode that high for a while and heard about all these stories about Tim Walls and just how he's just a likable guy, nice guy. He's a Leftist, he's a lunatic, he's a Marxist, but hey, he's a likable guy. So that's where we've been. Then the convention comes along, and you've got all kinds of things happening on the stage there. You've got these celebrities. You've got
John Legend. You've got the artist formerly known as the Dixie Chicks that are now the Chicks. You've got comedians I don't even know who all you have. You have a Baraccuoushell Obama. You've got Hillary Clinton, You've got doctor Jill, You've got Oprah Winfrey. Just a big show. So they have, they have all the excitement, they have the narrative. You know, they've they've ridden this out for a while. But now the dust subtles. And I told you this was gonna happen.
I did not expect it to happen as quickly that the dust settled because on Friday, the day after this convention ended, Robert F. Kennedy Junior came along and said, I'm dropping out and I'm endorsing Trump. That changed things in the blink of an eye as far as the momentum is concerned. That has real impact, That has a real impact in the numbers. Then you start to look at well, they've kind of told us that they've exhausted everything that they can tell us about about Tim Walls
and about Kamala. They've told us the story of Kamala getting hitting the head with the rock, not a coconut, but a rock when she was a little kid. They've told that story as many times as they could because Kamala was standing up for her friend. They've told us about Kamala riding around in the back seat of a nineteen sixty seven Mustang or whatever it was, without a car seat, without a doubt anyway. So we got all these stories right that the stories that just make you
feel good. And now that they've played through those, now there's going to be reruns. There's going to be different renditions, different versions of these stories. Maybe they'll make up new stuff, but they've basically gone through everything, because there's no there there, And now the only thing between them and this election
November fifth is a guy named Donald J. Trump. And they've got a date on the calendar now that says September tenth, Tuesday, September tenth, which of course is the day before September eleventh, which of course will be the twenty third day of remembrance of September eleventh, the terrorist attacks that happened in two thousand and one. So you can imagine what's going to be brought up by Trump,
the Afghanistan withdrawal. By the way, we just remembered the three year mark of that botch withdrawal that led to the loss of life for thirteen American service members. Trump was the only one who bothered to show up for the memorial. Kamala tells us she memorializes them every day or some such nonsense. But it's just pathetic stuff. But the point is, there's gonna be nowhere to hide. There's not gonna she's not gonna have her precious little cheat
sheet of notes. She can't sit behind the table with her knees knocking there. She's afraid, she's very, very afraid, in fact, and today's Todd Talk I mentioned that, well, I reminded you of the story that she plagiarized for Martin Luther King Junior, when she said, when she was a little girl, she was fussing and her mother said, Kamala, what do you want? What do you need? And she says,
I want fweedom. That's what she said. That story was basically lifted from an interview that Martin Luther King Junior gave to Playboy magazine in nineteen sixty five, I believe. And so she's out there again trying to make headway with these sorts of stories. But I think it's not that Kamala may or may not have wanted fweedom back in those days as a little child. I think today it's clear that she is very, very afraid of President Trump. She's afraid of what is about to happen as she
embarks upon this. There's no more look, there's going to be no more warm crowd, there's going to be no more balloon drops, and God forbid up until the point that she could potentially win the election. But there's none of that between here and there. It is now, the dust is settled, and it's you versus Trump. It's your ideas. Where are your policies? You know, there's still not policies that you can find from Kamala Harris, and the ones that you can find are exactly the opposite of what
they were over the past. Heck, some cases six months ago, a couple of months ago. So that's the context that we should see this tweet or this post or whatever it was that Trump made. So now the debate is going to be standing up, as we said, the debate is not going to have notes or cheat sheets, and the microphones are going to be microphones are going to
be cut during the Now why does that matter? Well, if you remember, I referenced that this was a demand that Biden had made of the Trump campaign back when they set this debate schedule. They didn't want Trump having a hot mic where he could just basically annihilate Biden. And so now now we have the situation where Kamala thinks that it's better for her if the microphones are left on. So that was a point of a debate about the debate. So this is what who is this
here that says this? This is Harris's campaign senior communications advisor Brian Fallon on Monday told ABC the following He said, well, he told ABC and other networks seeking to host a possible October debate that we believe both candidates Mike should be live throughout the full broadcast. And here's why. This is what he said. Our understanding is that Trump's handlers prefer the muted microphone because they don't think their candidate
can act presidential for ninety minutes on his own. We suspect Trump's team has not even told their boss about this dispute because it would be too embarrassing to admit they don't think he can handle himself against Vice President Harris without the benefit of a mute button. The vice president is ready to deal with Trump's constant lines and interruptions in real time. Trump should not be hiding behind the mute button. So that's the narrative. I mean, this
is just stupid stuff, my friends. More about this in the final segment here. But let me remind you friends, if you smoke, if you vape, if you chew tobacco, Nicknack Naturals is here to help you crush your vice. They've created a mint. It is a nicotine mint. It is not for you. wherever this thing was maybe in the past decade. Timeouts in order that my friends back here in just a minute, my friends segment here first hour going through this post that Trump made regarding the debates, which I contend is one of the best posts that you're ever going to find on social media, especially from a candidate for office, the highest office of the land. So we've talked about how this debate is going to be standing up. This
debate is not going to involve cheat sheets. Trump also adds that we will be given We have been given assurance that ABC, who he previously called ABC fake news above. That reminds me what was the guy Jim Acosta. He's CNN, right, Remember when Trump was president the first time and Jim Acosta took the microphone at one of Trump's press conferences
and was given Trump, you know how they are. I mean, just condescending, self righteous, dramacrats is what they are, pr firm for the Democrat Party, and Trump said, look, we are you know, Jim, I need to tell you that I'm you know, I'm sorry for calling you fake news at CNN, and Jim Jim walked right into it. He said, well, you know, mister President, something something appreciate that or something.
He said, you're very fake news. And then of course Trump had an intern, some young college age girl, and she she wrestled the microphone away from Jim Acosta, which makes me rethink the whole transgenderism in sports, because I think she could have taken Jim Acosta in most events, the one hundred meters, probably, the four hundred, probably the long jump, probably wrestling, weightlifting, definitely. So I don't know, maybe I need to rethink that. But this is what, again,
is background to this entire thing. I know it's ABC, but in Trump's mind, it's the same, and in my mind, it's the same group. These news outlets, today's media, they are one and the same that they do that. I mean, you have some that are crazier or slightly crazier than the rest MSNBC, but these folks are all the same. They are engaging in professional deception, propaganda, and public relations
for the Democrat Party. But Trump says, we've been given assurances that this is going to be a fair and equitable debate and that neither side will be given questions in advance. And he says, no, Donna Brazil. That's in reference back to a g whiz that would have been twenty sixteen when Hillary Clinton. Boy, folks, the Democrat Party has quite the the blimisht record when it comes to actually allowing even their own candidates to engage in free
and fair elections. Because Bernie Sanders had been targeted by the Democrat Party elites multiple times. They did not want him to be their candidate, and in twenty sixteen, Dona Brazil provided to Hillary Clinton the questions that would be asked at the debate, according to reports, and Bernie Sanders
was not given those. So Trump says, none of that's going to be the case according to them, But I can't trust them anyway, So who knows Harris is not going to agree to attend a earlier debate with Fox News on September fourth. She needs to go to the comforts of places like ABC News. Trump didn't say this, but he did say it, and he said, you know, but we're going to hold that date open because flip flops so much, she might change her mind and flip
flop on this as well. So if she does that, we've got the debate on September tenth, and we potentially still could have her flip flop and attend on September fourth, then we would have one more debate, which it appears that we'll have this time on another fake news network called NBC. And but that's not been agreed to by these radicals on the left. So that's Trump's position. I love this is one of the all time best tweets
or whatever. This is social media posts of all time, rich with so much content and of course context that we filled in. So at the end of this first hour and then an hour to follow here I want to get into I want to talk about Kamala coming out and flip flopping if you will on the border. She suddenly says that she won't to build a border wall.
