Attention. You're listening to the top Huff radio show, America's home for conservative not bitter talk radio. Be advised. The content of this program has been documented to prevents and even cure liberalism, and listening may cause you to lean to the rights. Here's your conservative but not bitter host, Tod Huff. Well, my friends, this border situation is as bad as it arguably has ever been. We have an absolute unmitigated disaster plaguing the southern border of this
country. The administration does not care about it. Congress, well, in particular, the Senate, the media, the Biden minister, they all want you to believe that the reason for this problem is of course, Congress. They want you to believe that a law has to be passed in order for Biden to fix what's going on at the border. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth. We will get in that into that today and
due course, my friends, but welcome to the program. Should you want to be part of the discussion, and why wouldn't you want to be? You can email Todd at to hubshow dot com. You can also text us three one seven two one zero two eight three zero. Message and data rates may apply. From your provider. So so so so we have, as I say stated off the top, a massive problem that we are being gas
lit on. This is what professional gas lighting looks like. We are being told, we are being told that the problem along the southern border requires congressional action. And I'm actually quite pleased to have this SoundBite to share with you. This is Governor Christy Nome the Great State of South Dakota. She's on one of the weekend shows. She's on one of the weekend shows CNN is what she's on, and she states this. Now, you may have heard
this before because you've heard something very similar from yours. Truly, because this is the truth, my friends. What's happening along the southern border does not require does not require congressional action. Now, are there things that Congress could do to make it, you know, to make things better? Could there be laws? And do we need to figure out some other issues that at
border the lack of overall border security causes. Yes, yes, But as far as securing the border is concerned, Biden has everything he needs to make that happen. He's just not serious about it. In fact, even even Elon Musk, who I'm not sure if Oz is on board with Elon yet, but Elon Musk chimes in on x I've outsaid Twitter. Biden tweeted out late. I guess it was on Saturday. Is that right? Saturday? For everyone who is demanding tougher border control, this is a Biden tweet.
This is the way to do it. Here's my full statement on border security negotiation. So basically, pass a bill and he'll sign it. That's gonna solve that's gonna solve the problem. And he's got this tweet. It's got this statement. I don't know if I want to read this statement or not. Maybe I will let me. I wasn't planning on doing that, but let me see game time decision here. If I want to do this, let's go ahead and do it real fast. Statement of President Biden on the
bipartisan Senate Border security negotiations, January twenty sixth, twenty twenty four. This would have actually been what Friday. For too long the Biden administration rights. We all know the border's been broken. You know this is remarkable. As I read this, I was just told by leftists, by people in the media that the border isn't as bad as we've been told Remember majorcis in front of Congress, will not say that there is a crisis along the border.
Now, this is again, this is gaslighting. One on one, well, one on one for too long, says the Biden administration. We all know the border has been broken, except that's not true. The left has denied this for far too long. In fact, that's one of the main reasons it's in the condition it is in. It's a long past time to fix it. The administration rights. That's why two months ago I instructed my team to begin negotiations with a bipartisan group of senators to seriously and finally address
the border crisis. Now we're using the word crisis. Notice this. They will not say this in hearings. This is Look, this is one hundred percent gas lighting. There is nothing genuine, authentic, real, or anything to be trusted in these words. This is absolute gibberish and nonsense. Now, he acknowledges problems, but he's acknowledging them because there is nowhere else to hide. I have documented this, I have talked about this on this program
on a regular basis. The American people are full aware that the border is in chaos and that something has to be done to secure it. It needs to be secured. That's the first point. We're not talking about what to do with people who are here illegally. I mean, certainly there is talks of things like deportation from some folks, and you got other folks who are saying things like pathway to citizenship and all of this. Two they are related,
but they are two separate issues. It's like if you're on a ship and the ship is taking on water. You can either demand from the people on the ship. You can either demand to say, look, in order for me to start, you know, to plug the hole on the ship. I need to first of all, get your approval on buying a new ship, right, I need your approval to buy this yacht. This is
the yacht that we need. All the while, the water's continuing to fill the ship, and everybody's arguing about this, Well, we shouldn't be talking about buying a ship. We should plug the hole here, fix this ship so we don't sink, and then we can talk about what ship to buy. But the Left insists that the ship that is to be purchased at a later time be decided in that very moment. To hell with whatever happens in
the meantime. If you sink the proverbial ship, they don't care. But the obvious common sense thing to do in that situation is to plug the hole and begin to get water out of the ship. And then you can say, okay, now we're safely to shore. What can we do? What should we do about replacing the ship that has a massive leak, And then there can be discussions. But the first thing you must do is secure the border, or in the analogy, is to stop the leaking. Stop the
leaking, and the leaking. Leaking is a bad way of putting it. It's like drinking from a fire hose level of water coming in to the proverbial boat here anyway, So they're using the word crisis here for weeks now, he says, that's what they've done. Oh yes, those senators working around the clock. They write through the holidays and over weekends. What a dedicated
bunch of folks these senators are to be commended. That's the way that sounds the reality, My friends, folks in Washington, d C. Of both parties, of both parties, are culpable in so many of our problems today. This thing continues, it would give me as president a new emergence l wait I skipped a paragraph here. Let's be clear. What's been negotiated, would, if passed into law, be the toughest and fairest set of reforms to secure the border we've ever had in our country. Why again, was
the border secure under Trump? We didn't have these laws. Why do we need them to secure the border the whole, the entire The only part that Congress has to deal with that it hasn't is what to do potentially, and I don't even know that they have to do this President Trump should he win the election, could I mean the law allows for deportations, my friends, Biden could begin deporting people who are here illegally, those who missed court dates
or whatever else. As Elon Musk said in his tweet excuse me whatever they call those now and his ex that he posted that he posted, he said, Hey, we don't need to change any laws. All we need to do here he is He says, no laws need to be passed. All that is needed is an executive order to require proof before granting granting an asylum hearing. That is how it used to be. There were so many things that used to be another way, there were so many things you had to
enter at a port of entry. There was the remain in Mexico policy. Elon Musk is talking here about having proof that there is some sort of proof required that you are able to be granted asylum. All those things have been thrown out the window. Those none of those things have anything to do with new law, new law, my friends. And this, this is how this needs to be looked at unless there is something that dramatically changes in Congress.
New law means that there is more money being spent, that there's probably more backroom deals being made, that there's probably something that grows the government, gives the government more power and authority. There's probably something who knows in a piece of legislations that's designed to take away some of your civil liberties. This is how these jokers and clowns operate. And on top of that, on top of that, they don't even have something in public, but they're calling
for the support of this. They're calling for the support of this, and I think hopefully this is dead on arrival, hopefully even in the Senate, although that's unlikely, but hopefully the House will will stop the nonsense from from happening here. Nonetheless, Nonetheless, we continue here after he's praised these senators for working so hard. You know, folks were the ones that work hard. Let me say word about that. We are the ones who work hard.
We're the ones that are have the the burden of funding this governmental monstrosity that these senators have created. Forgive me if I don't really care, if I'm not overly impressed with how hard senators work to make backroom deals, backroom deals that are absolutely not transparent, backroom deals that I have no idea, that they have no idea what's in the final legislation. Forgive me if I'm not one to really be impressed by that, and you shouldn't be either,
by the way. Anyway, Biden continues here, where here we go, Okay, let's be clear. Oh that's my favorite Biden. Let's be clear. Let's be If there's one thing Biden is not it is clear. This is where he inserts words like oh, hushabu and things like that. So anyway, he doesn't do it in this written statement, but you know that if he was speaking, he would be saying words very similar to that what's been negotiating. Would oh, I said that part it would give me as
president, a new emergency authority. There you go, there you go, a new emergency authority to shut down the border when it becomes overwhelmed on the What in the world is this guy talking about. We have laws, immigration laws in this country. There is absolutely nothing that says you have to take every person across the border and just release them into the United States whenever they show up. There's nothing. There is literally nothing on the books that that
is there. There is no such law. And this, these these claims for asylum, I've been through this before. You're the rules for asylum if you're fleeing a country. And my heart goes out to these people, my friends, my heart goes out to these people that have to deal with this. You are supposed to seek asylum in the first place that you the first country you reach that is safe for you to escape the country you are fleeing. And that means that means, my friends, that there are many countries.
Some of these folks are coming from all over the world across the border. We just let them come in. You tell me that there's no other country. It's crazy. It's the country that these leftists malign and hate and misrepresent and talk about with disgust, is the very country that, seemingly, by their own admission, here is the only place asylum seekers can go. Furthermore, if we really want, we cannot help every person on planet Earth.
We are simply not capable of having what is it, eight billion people. We can't have eight billion Americans, especially when you factor in that healthy portion of well a portion of that number. Once the death and destruction of the United States, some of those have called for jihad, as we talked about yesterday on the United States call me crazy. Probably shouldn't really be looking for ways to make those folks citizens or giving them access to citizens of this
great nation. This whole thing is broken. We need an administration who believes in the American ideals and principles enough so that we can export those ideas so that other countries around the world can benefit from the things that have unleashed prosperity on this great nation. Things like believing that our rights come from God and not from government. Freedom and liberty are paramount. These are things that need to be exported. Eradicating corruption, these things need to be exported, but
they are not. They are not that's if we want to really help the problem, we would help other countries. We would explain to other countries, countries, we would make the case to other countries, not that we're superior, but the ideas that we have accepted and embraced are the very ideas and principles and concepts that these other folks, these other countries need to embrace.
We cannot take on the entire world. So then the only way to ultimately fix the problem of the despair around the world is for the right ideas to be exported to the places that are not implementing the right ideas. Dare I say ultimately that includes and at the top of that list would include, oh boy, I'm not saying well, just as a as a as a human being, as an individual, I would say, ultimately, if you want true freedom, you better ultimately fall on your knees before Christ. But be
that as it may, we're not doing any of these things. Let me finish Biden's statement here, and then we'll take a break, Okay. And if I if given that authority, I would use it the day I signed the bill into law. He would shut down the border. He needs more power, he needs emergency authority. No, he does not. He absolutely does not. He can do what Trump was doing. This is painfully obvious. Further, Congress needs to fully provide the funding there we go I requested
in October to secure the border. This includes additional thirteen one hundred border patrol agents, three hundred and seventy five immigration judges, sixteen hundred asylum officers, and over one hundred cutting edge inspection machines to help detect and stop fittinel at our Southwest border. Securing the border through these negotiations as a win for America for everyone who is demanding tougher border control, This is the way to do
it. No, the way to do it is to remove in the twenty twenty four election the person who is currently occupying the right White House and putting Don Jay Trump back in the White House. That's how you do this. Take the notes from the previous administration. That's how you do this. The statement concludes by stating this, if you're serious about the border crisis, pass
a bipartisan bill and I will sign it. Give me a break. If you're serious about the border crisis, implement what President Trump did, and we will applaud you for taking the appropriate actions. I will applaud you for that. I will. You're still completely by the way, he's still completely incapable of being a leader of a country. But at least we will have handled one issue the right way, and I will admit it. I will tell people we did one thing the right way, but they refuse, and you
have to ask yourself why. And of course we know that. I know it's time to take a break. My friend, set tight. You're listening here to conservative not better talk on your host Tod Huff. That SoundBite from Christy Nome coming up on the other side of the break back here in just a minute. Welcome back, my friends. I want to continue this conversation that we've been having having about, oh, just the border mess. And
they want you to believe. They want you to believe that this border, in order to be fixed, in order to be made secure, requires a new law that is complete and utter nonsense. We've been saying that on here for some time. That needs to be understood. It does not mean that there's nothing that Congress needs to make a law about pertaining to other things about the border. Maybe there are things that need to be done and passed by
Congress to further secure the border in the future. But we stopped the border wall. Remember this, we stopped the remain in Mexico policy. This is a dog and pony show designed to fool you and full me and full Americans into thinking that the problem in this particular instance is Congress. It's not the administration. Probably Trump's fault, they'll say somewhere along the way. But none of these problems, none of these problems existed when Biden took office, No,
at least nowhere near the magnitude that we're dealing with today. And by the way, they talk about fentanyl, which is absolutely correct. There is a massive problem with fentanyl and drug trafficking along the border. What about human trafficking, that's a massive problem along the southern border as well. And what about terrorism? My friends, this should not a proponent of fear, But
I am a proponent of having concerns rooted in reality. If behavior and if a behavior is happening, if certain things are happening, say along the border, that I become aware of and I understand who it is that's exploiting the weaknesses and so forth, and I don't have a concern or I'm haphazard and simply make no attempt whatsoever to understand the danger, to understand the implications of
what might happen. Who it is that we are stopping. The number of people that have admitted either well that we know that have had terrorist ties or come from places that terrorism is well common. Those things should absolutely concern us. Anyway, So I told you before the break, Christy Nomes, she's on CNN with one of these. Again, these are all the same show
to me, so it doesn't really matter the show. But she's on here talking about exactly what I'm saying, Exactly what I'm saying, exactly what Elon Musk said. We don't need new laws, We actually need X, Y and z things that the previous administration had done or people had done before that are being ignored today in order to make this problem much worse, much, much much worse. So listen to this exchange. She's spot on. Maybe, by the way, who knows Trump's vice presidential running mates. Time will
tell. But here is Christinom, the current governor of South Dakota, explaining that the Biden administration and the Biden Administration's policies are in fact the problem. Along the southern border here. It is your former Republican colleagues in Congress support that deal. Why doesn't President Biden take action today? I mean, today can be day one, that's right. He can immediately announce that he's reinstating the stay in Mexico policy. He can immediately announce that he's going to re
focus on building a wall. He can do those today. I listened to Nancy Pelosi talk earlier. She's been in Congress for decades and has talked about immigration for decades, and what has she accomplished. We have a president that has all the tools that he needs to protect our country today, and he's refusing to do that. So to look at Congress and expect them to pass a bill when they failed for decades to do this, and then to say
we have to accept this poison pill of a bill today. It essentially codifies illegal immigration. What it would do is put into statute that people can now come here illegally, and is just a terrible bill that I think President Trump is exactly right it should not pass and push President Biden to take action. There you go, well said, she's right. Why doesn't President Biden take action today? Why doesn't he take action and do the things that were being
done before in Trump's administration. Why, well, there's lots of reasons. In one of them, she mentioned it here, she said it effectively, this proposed compromise bill effectively codifies, codifies the well illegal immigration. In fact, I read elsewhere Republicans in Oklahoma are very upset with Senator Langford there, who brokeered this deal, with this piece of legislation, saying, look, this bill allows for up to five thousand illegal immigrants to come into this country
per day. How is this border security? Of course, Langford comes out and says, there's no such thing. The problem is, I mean, these folks have violated every ounce of trust, every single ounce of trust that we should have in them. We should look at them skeptically from the beginning.
But then on top of that, for even in general the general amount of skepticism we should have, we are so much further than that we should have so much skepticism about these folks by this point that I we shouldn't take them at their word for anything. And I know that that upsets some people. The folks we have been burned. I defy you to tell me the last time we haven't been burned by our government. I have said before, and I've got to take a break here, but I've said before. We
did negotiate in nineteen eighties when President Reagan was president. We negotiated a deal for amnesty in return for a secure border. The amnesty, the pathway to citizenship or whatever that looked like, was was agreed to implemented. The border was never secured. This has never been taken care of. The closest it came was when Trump took office and secured the order by doing the things he did. Building the wall, remain Mexico policy, other policies that slowed this
dramatically. You have immigrants, You have migrants coming to the border cheering the name of Biden because they know they know they can just waltz across that sucker and probably just blend into the country and never ever show up for a court date. There's no it is effectively wide open. Trump was not using Trump was not using parole loopholes to figure out ways to just release seven hundred and fifty thousand illegal immigrants or asylum seekers in this country at the drop of a
hat. Trump wasn't the one that said states can't put up razor wire or other obstacles to keep people from crossing borders and places. It's patently absurd. Timeouts in order. My friends sit side here, hang in there, beats off here, listen, conservative not bitter talk. I'm your host, Todtuff back here in a minute. Welcome back, my friends. Messes abound along the southern border and candidly everywhere we look in this administration, in this during
his presidency. I've got more here related to the Southern border to get to this segment, including House Republicans looking to impeach, actually impeach someone in the Biden administration over over his abdication of responsibilities and duties and everything else regarding border security and testimony before the House and so forth. But before I do that, let me tell you a little bit about one of our partners, one of our sponsors I Sell Health. I Sell Health. Eric Wilson, my
friends, been a supporter of this program for several years now. He specializes in individual health in group health in Medicare, and he's been serving clients throughout the country since two thousand and four, twenty years. It's been twenty years since Eric has been doing this. He's been an expert on news media outlets.
He's been interviewed, We've interviewed him on this show talking about healthcare, health insurance, that particular issue, especially during election time, when health care, health insurance and those are two different things, by the way, when those things begin to sometimes make their way into the narrative because again it's a political season and ideas are being promoted and so forth, usually by these politicians
to manipulate voters into either donating to their campaign, voting for them so they can have a life of ease, collecting large pensions and so forth, but nonetheless usually doing nothing about the ideas that they're campaigning for anyway. So healthcare is a recurring issue, it's always before it's and of course how we pay for health care health insurance. So if you are in need of the best plan for yourself, if you think, hey i am I've heard I've heard
Todd talk about this. The healthcare premiums are set to go up five to eight percent in twenty twenty four. You know, maybe you're thinking about adding this benefit to your business. Maybe you're thinking of making some changes to the current benefits that you have for your employees. If you own a business, if you're in HR, if you're someone responsible for these things, if any of those things apply to you, I encourage you to reach out to Eric
Wilson of I sell Health. He'll give you a free, absolutely no cost consultation. In fact, they got a message the other day from someone who said they were had spoken to Eric and said he was a great guy. So you can do the same thing by calling eight one five three seven two thirteen sixty three eight one five three seven two thirteen sixty three. I sell health dot com is the website. Just make sure you tell him you heard about him here on this program I sell health dot com. Eric Wilson is
the gentleman you'll want to speak with there. So I'd mentioned before sharing a little bit with you about iel health. House Republicans are now set to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Myorkas. And they've have two articles, or we'll have two articles of impeachment. And I'm looking here Washington Examiner dot com. This
is in the stack stuff on the website. House Republicans plan to impeach President Joe Biden's Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro maiorcis on two articles in an his ooh, it's an historic but this is in a historic committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, the Washington Examiner has learned Tuesday, of course, being today. We'll see what happens here. The House Homeland Security Committee will take up articles
of impeachment for wilful and systemic refusal to comply with the law. Yes, that is exactly what's happening. That's what we've talked about today. That's what we've been talking about for quite some time about what's happening with illegal immigration. And the other is breach of the public trusts. Well, obviously they have no interest, my friends, in securing the border. So those are the
two articles of impeachment. According to the committy, House Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green, Republican of the Great State of Tennessee, said this in a statement. These articles lay out a clear, compelling, and irrefutable case for Secretary Alejandro Maorcus impeachment. He has willfully and systematically refused to comply with immigration laws
enacted by Congress. He has breached the public trust by knowingly making false statements to Congress and the American people, and obstructing congressional oversight of his department. Secretary Majorcus has completely disregarded the separation of powers, a bedrock of our constitutional republic. Congress has a duty to see that the executive branch implements and enforces
the laws we have passed. Green continued at his time. We take this affront to a coequal branch of government, to the Constitution, and to the American people. Seriously. The House of Representatives must impeach Secretary my Orcus. I know that this is getting intense. I know that some people don't like this. I know people think that this is all about politics, and I can't speak for every motivation of every person, but this is also completely justifiable.
This has to stop. Laws have to be enforced. America's border and security should not be subject like some sort of a game political game being run by the left, by Secretary of my Orcus, ultimately by President Bribery himself. Timeouts in order, though, my friends. So there you go, quick time out shifting gears on the other side of the break, sit tight back here in just a minute. Welcome back, my friends. So that's
what's happening on the border. One of the things I did not mention yet simply because at time there's a trucker convoy that is heading to the southern border as well to help slow block, impede the illegal border crossings and so forth happening happening there as as well. So never a dull moment as far as that is, as far as that is concerned. Really quickly too. I wasn't expecting to talk about this, but I did. I get a text message, and I know, look, I'm a We talked primarily about politics
culture. In fact, I view this show as the intersection of politics, culture, worldview, and faith, and so that's usually where we are. But there's a lot of talk about something I just I just want to address. I think some of you will will be into this because we just got through the NFL's what championship games this this weekend. San Francisco came back and beat the Detroit Lions in the very close game thirty four to thirty one.
Kansas City Chiefs beat the Ravens. What was that score, seventeen to ten, I think. And of course, if you follow these things closely, if you follow the NFL, or even if you just peruse social media from time to time, you will find that One of the most common things that you will hear people talking about on social media is the NFL being scripted. The NFL is scripted, and what's interesting to me. I had a buddy
asked me this. He forwarded me an article because the Kansas City Chiefs, of course, Travis Kelsey, the tight Ends, got this romance of sorts whatever with Taylor Swift, and the NFL loves this and everything else, and they wanted the Chiefs to go to the super Bowl and so forth. I don't deny that the NFL wants the teams that have the biggest what storyline, stars, market whatever to be in the NF the super Bowl. I'm allowed to say that the big Game as they as they say, I don't deny
that. But I also saw a bunch of conspiracy theories over the NFL being scripted this weekend, saying that the NFL had decided it was going to be the San Francisco forty nine ers and the Baltimore Ravens and the super Bowl because of the color of the logo, the color of Super Bowl whatever, super
Bowl we're on here, fifty whatever. The color of the logo was a combination of the Ravens colors and the forty nine Ers colors, And if you go back far enough the past several years, every time they've done this, the two teams in the Super Bowl match those colors. Now, the good bad guy might think that's fantastic for graphic design purposes, but I mean, it's I just I don't buy it. I don't buy it. A lot of people do so Again this weekend, the conspiracy theorists were telling us it
was bound to be. The script was Ravens versus forty nine Ers because the logo colors. Now it's they wanted the Chiefs there, and it was scripted because of Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift's romance. But I also watched a little bit of that game. I saw the Ravens fumble the ball on the probably about six inches away from crossing the end zone. That would have that score, by the way, would have at least tied the game. It wouldn't have at the time, but they made a field goal after that, so
that could have put that game in over time. I also saw an interception in the end zone by the Kansas City Chiefs. Of course, there's questions of the whether or not that should have been pass interference. But the bottom line is I mean, forgetting this for something being scripted, they're certainly playing with fire. And on top of that, the Detroit Lions jumped up, jumped all over the San Francisco forty niners. In fact, Eminem who was
there at the game, was flipping off the fans at halftime. Shouldn't come as a shock, but he was flipping off. He was in a what a suite, I guess, and he was flipping off fans in front of the suite because the Lions had gotten up twenty four to seven. And you know, I think they thought we got this game locked up. Of course,
that turns out. It turns out there's two halves the football, there's two halves to basketball, and so you know there's games left, a game left to be played the Lions or shoot me, the forty nine ers came back and won that game thirty four to thirty one. I just look, Do I put it past these folks to try to do that? No? Do I think that this would be much more complicated than people think. Yes, I never ever was good enough to play at that level I played at
college. Just the competitiveness the speed, the inches that separate a good play on one side versus a good play on the other side. I mean it is it is razor tie. Now, I'm not saying that there are examples by the way of games where officials have gotten involved. It usually is revolving around gambling and so forth. But to my knowledge, there's not ever really been a truly definable example of the NFL of this is just scripted. And again I can say that as a fan of the guy that's not a fan
of Goodell. Anyway, there you go, my thoughts, quick time out, my friends back here in just a minute. Welcome back to my friends. I know some of you see it differently. Some of you will think that the NFL is scripted, and again that's just my opinion. There are legitimate conspiracies out there, and a conspiracy simply meaning when two or more parties are working together for a certain typically nefarious outcome. Collusion, if you will.
We have collusion between foreign governments and allegedly Vice President Biden, vice President Bribery, now President Bribery. I mean, there are things out there, examples of conspiracies, but there's a lot more that have a lot more credence than that. That's just my two cents, but I've got to go. I hope you have a great day. Talk with you tomorrow. SDG
