In this episode, @DaineSays and @DjIllnessuk speak on the media titled “meltdowns” of two influential figures in black music, either side of the Atlantic, Kanye West and Richard Kylea Cowie aka Wiley.
Both men have been the target of a great level of scrutiny following their social media output over the last week.
Kanye has been said to be having a mental breakdown in light of a strangely presented Presidential Rally in North Carolina where clips widely circulated portrayed him in what can only be described as manic. The reality is, large portions of his address were calm and well delivered, but the lie is more entertaining than the truth. The boys look at the media’s portrayal of events and ask, is Kanye ok?
Contraversely, Wiley has come under huge scrutiny in the British press for a barrage of incendiary tweets of a seemingly antisemitic nature. Given the swift public outcry against him, the boys ask, where was this energy for other professional provocateurs like Katie Hopkins and Tommy Robinson who for years have spewed their vitriol without such a swift blacklisting as Wiley now faces?
The boys take aim at the sentencing of Solo 45 following his serious sexual assault trial, as well as the Guardian engaging in some untimely click bait to stoke the fires of Britain’s ever growing racial divide.
