Episode description
In this episode of The Sustainable Angler, I interview angler, guide and Anchored podcast host April Vokey. We chat about fishing in British Columbia and Australia, where April spends half of her year these days; making fishing fun for kids; and discuss how it's ok to be overwhelmed and feel helpless with the amount of information flying around regarding climate change and multitude of conservation issues unfolding (and now Coronavirus!), taking the time to educate yourself on these important issues and just being human (the answer may be to simply get your hands dirty in your local community to avoid depression and anxiety). We also chat about April's latest business venture, Anchored Outdoors, which "is an ever-growing network of Fishing, Foraging, Hunting and Homesteading experts you’ve come to know and trust", as well as April's new podcast, Into the Backing, which "is a roundtable forum that takes a closer look at some of the outdoor’s most contentious topics." Special thanks to April for carving some time out and hope you enjoy!
