Asner died at the end of August at the age of 91. We feature part of a conversation with him from 1995. Jay Van Bavel, an Associate Professor of Psychology & Neural Science at New York University, and Director of their Social Identity & Morality Lab, is the author of The Power of Us, which explores the dynamics of shared social identities.
