It happened. Rebecca turned the big 3-0 and to celebrate we covered a movie near and dear to her cold, dead little heart: Scream! We recorded this live and in person and it probably shows in the lack of sound engineering prowess reflected in the audio, but it has moxie, dang it!

An American Werewolf in London is a Landis flick that tells the tale of two young American guys that, while backpacking through Northern England, get attacked by a werewolf. It manages to be misogynistic but also has an underlying tragic queer narrative; goofiness ensues.
This week we’re covering Mike Flanagan’s 2013 movie Oculus, and everyone (including us) is sad and dead. While this film really hammers home the mother in horror trope, Ol’ Flan manages to craft a pretty nuanced female character in Karen Gillan’s Kaylie.
