Hey, forballers, it's your pal Dan here and listen. Listen, I'm here real quick to remind you about the good times that Jeff Schwartz from Fox Sports and Sirius XM and he's a former NFL offensive lineman and I are having each and every week during season two. I don't know why I did that. Of Big Boy Bets, it's our weekly college football betting preview, during which we deep dive lines over unders, where the public where the sharps are going as they look at the weekly college football
big Board. Do we look at trends and logic and reason when betting? Of course? Do we sometimes come up with theories and go with our guts with varying levels of evidence. Yeah, of course we do. It's our show. Every episode, we each pick at least three of our best bets and break down the variables that went into our selections. And yes, Jeff is also known to deep dive what it's like to be a literal big boy. New episodes go up every Thursday morning at six am Eastern.
And you know what, just for you, here's here's a little taste of the show.
We have two coaches that will kick a field goal over going for it and a fourth down I think every time. And so in spots where you might see more aggressive coaches go for it on fourth and two from the five yard line, these coaches will kick a field goal every time.
Yep.
And so I'm the under here. I was leaning Michigan minus six minus seven around there, but their offense. I went back and watched the offense again, kind of worries someome dan like they kind of pack things in after Bell got her. Now they were up by twenty twenty eight points. I get that. But Washington play defense. Guys. They have a great back end and secondary. The rest of the pass here kind of med but what I looked as a Montana scored the first drive of the
game field goal. They then had thirty three yards total over the next nine drives. Like, so, Washington defense is good. So I'm on the under here. It's forty eight and a half now, I mean I had it like fifty one, but I'll stoll bet it here.
Yeah, the over is interesting to me in a normal year, but yeah, I'm going with the under here. I have twenty seven thirteen Michigan, and I think you outlined it all pretty easily and one of the things. Michigan ten and five as a home favorite since twenty eighteen, so that's somewhat of an extreme number. Seventy nine percent of the bets around Michigan seventy six percent of the money. There's huge actual over betting in this matchup right now.
I'm not sure why, but there is a lot of dudes and ladies or whoever reason.
So why is they think that this is an aberration for Washington. Well, Washington, which I don't think. I think it was a little bit on offense, but Dan to their offense is pooh. We talked about heading on the season, like there's receivers. Sam Huer is not playing this week.
I really do think Washington too. If you're going to make a case for Washington, it's that they went in the same way a lot of teams did, which is they're going to show nothing in Week one ahead of a bigger Week two matchup. I'm not a fan of the Washington offense, but there is always going to be a jump between week one and week two as teams figure out what they have and as they see their players playing a game speed. So Washington's offense has to be better, just by the law of if they hit
rock bottom last week, they have to be better. They've got decent enough players on offense. I'm not in love with their offense. I think they can be outschemed pretty easily on offense, but I think they can score thirteen seventeen points or something like that. I just think Michigan is a little bit more complete. So I have them at twenty seven thirteen. So yeah, I'm gonna roll with the under. I'm with you as well. I just don't see where the points from either side are coming from.
You right about the deliberate pacing of both of these teams. All right, there's your taste.
