Okay, full disclosure, this might be triggering to some people. I'm going to try to keep this set as apolitical as possible, but it is has to do with political views in some respect. So bear with me, and please understand it's not my intent to offend you or anyone that's listening in. We all have our own thoughts, feelings, and emotions, and they're all
one hundred percent perfectly valid. I guess this is just me trying to figure things out, make sense, make heads or tails of the division in our country in a way that points back to our spirituality and who we are in the real sense of the word. I was doing a meditation, as I often do, and I kept getting these messages and I want to just throw them by you and see what your thoughts are. We've been told many times that our reality is a vivid representation of all that dwells overtly as well as
dormantly within our consciousness. Now does this mean that wherever you are on the political spectrum, whether you're on the right or the left, are we more alike and we're just merely living in our own version of reality where each one is right in our accusation of each other. Could we each be reacting to each other from our own perspective of our own reality, expecting others to understand what we're saying based on our reality, when really we should be understanding that
they are listening to our words from their own reality. Maybe they're hearing different words than we are saying, or different emotional content that we're saying. Maybe we are speaking to each other in completely different languages from an emotional spectrum point
of view. If you're engaging somebody from your own reality without taking into account that their reality is completely different than yours, the perspective, the emotional content, the truth, the experiences that we're each under going, perhaps might be completely different from each other. So when you say to someone that's cross the aisle, I can't understand how you could think that way or feel that way. It's so obvious, so it's this way, when in their perspective they're
saying the exact same thing to you. I can't believe you feel and think that way when it's so obvious that it's this way. I wonder if maybe we should try to understand each other's realities instead of assuming that we're living in the same ones we got to understand that we're living in a five dimensional puzzle and we're preceding each other from our own perspective instead of theirs. When they say put yourself in someone else's shoes, maybe goes a lot deeper than just
what could their experience be, but rather what could their reality be? I mean, there's got to be a reason why they feel the way that they do. I don't believe that people are intrinsically evil, are specifically thinking things because they well, that's not necessarily true. There are some people that probably are very angry and for whatever reason, feel the need to take it out
on others, which is unfortunate. But well, I don't know. I know it's kind of out there a little bit, but I just can't help but think that in my attempt to try to make heads or tails of the division and the anger towards each other, when we really should be just loving
each other. In light of all that we've learned on our show up to now, when we talked about the different paths and different realities and all that kind of stuff, how about engaging with each other understanding that our reality is completely foreign to someone else, and instead of damning them or hating them for not living in our reality. Understand they're in a different reality, and instead try to come to terms with that. Talk to them about how is it
that you are feeling that way? Help me to understand without judgment, without preconceived notions, and then you don't have to change your mind. But at least then you will understand where they're coming from a little bit better, and that anger may not trigger you as much. It may be more of Okay, Well, this is the reality that they're in, and I support them in their thought process because that is the reality that they're in. It's just
not the same as mine. And that's perfectly okay. In one way or the other. My reality will move in the direction in which I believe it needs to, and their reality will move in the direction that they believe it needs to, and they don't have to be contradictory. We don't have to compete with each other because both realities are valid. As we diverge and move into different directions, each reality will breathe and live a life of its own.
Or so that's what I think. I'm curious to hear what your thoughts are. Is this just complete dobblygook? Or does it make sense to you send us a message. Go to skeptic adposition dot com. You can leave us a voicemail or an email directly there. I'd love to hear your thing, and if you do leave us a voicemail, you might hear your voice on the show in some future episode. All Right, I guess that's enough
rambling for now. Thanks for listening, and we'll see you next time on the skeptic Betiphysicians
