JOSH PACHTER was the 2020 recipient of the Short Mystery Fiction Society’s Golden Derringer for Lifetime Achievement. His stories appear in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine, Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine, Black Cat Mystery Magazine, and elsewhere, and he is the author of the traditional whodunit Dutch Threat and the mystery for younger readers First Week Free at the Roomy Toilet. He edits anthologies (including Anthony finalists The Beat of Black Wings: Crime Fiction Inspired by the Songs of Joni Mitchell, Paranoia Blues: Crime Fiction Inspired by the Songs of Paul Simon, and Happiness Is a Warm Gun: Crime Fiction Inspired by the Songs of the Beatles) and the brand-new Every Day a Little Death: Crime Fiction Inspired by the Songs of Stephen Sondheim and translates fiction and nonfiction from Dutch to English.
