Like so many sequels, Spider-Man 3 was crushed under the immense pressure of its predecessor. Too many characters, and by extension, too many parallel storylines, resulted in a cinematic mess that didn’t do justice to the two movies that came before. We chat about what went wrong and why, and openly mourn the movie we deserved but never got: Spider-Man 4.
