On this live show we were so lucky to have Lillian from the Warrnambol Penguin Project with us. Tiny penguins lived their life in peace on a gorgeous island on the southern coast of Australia. Foxes found their way onto the island and in a few short years they had killed nearly ALL the penguins.
A farmer and biologist teamed up and trained Mareama dogs to guard and protect the penguins instead of chickens. It worked. The penguins were saved and an organization started to spread the word about these giant dogs and the tiny penguins they protect.
It's so wholesome.
