Assa Doukoure - Founder, Les Amis des Enfants / Model
Episode description
Assa has always been passionate about the environment, which led her to emigrate to Canada from Cote d’Ivoire to pursue a career in the sector of renewable energy. Her journey led her to Saint Mary’s University culminating with a Bachelor of Science, Environmental science degree.
She is passionate about modelling and got involved in the modelling industry in Halifax about 4 years ago. She has walked for multiple fashion shows including Atlantic Fashion Week.
Her strong commitment to giving back to her community led Assa and her to create an organization called Les Amis des Enfants (the friends of children) which gives children in the rural areas of Cote d’Ivoire a wonderful experience and hope in the future. They plan to collaborate with other organizations to have more events in the upcoming years.
