In this message Tullian delivered at Liberty University in 2012, he answered that question by stating at the outset that the way many of us have been taught to think about sanctification is actually very unsanctified. In fact, it’s terribly narcissistic.
When the focus of the Christian life becomes the life of the Christian, we get worse, not better. The truth is that when we stop obsessing over our need to improve, THAT’S what it means to improve.
