It's another podcast without much game news but a smattering of games industry news. In this episode, SONY buys Bungie, NFTs are weird and pointless, Rob merges antigravity racers, Zac secretes items about his Pokémon and Dan joins our league of intrigue.
So what if we're posting this podcast up a bit late. So what if we may have forgotten to finish off the process that is most of the point of this thing? ... Yakuza 4 is a hell of a drug. Naturally we have to cover the Activision acquisition but we've got a summer jam (in January) thanks to Windjammers 2. Rob requires a vibe and Lethal League helps out whilst Zac plays games trying to be like other games introducing us to Planet Crafter.

2021 has been a weird year for games and for how the Happysalad crew played them. As a result we're making the Game of the Year stuff less of a thing. This way we can talk about Halo Infinite some more and with only mild spoilers.
In this episode we pick out the bits that interested us from The Game Awards whilst juggling cats and bad throats. Rob wraps up Backbone, flies away in Exo One and Zac adds some DLC to the usual Oxygen Not Included segment. Oh and a little thing called Halo came out so we checked that out too.

There may have been a falling out at the E household. EA and E3 don't seem to turn up to gatherings together anymore. Now EA wants to come and stay on the couch. Should we let them? The sun is setting on Rob's podcast "studio" but it shall rise again in pastures new. We shall send it off with a completely normal podcast. That seems fitting. 2020 has seemed neverending so it's apt that we end with the longest podcast of the year. Yes it's "Game of the Year" time!
