I have heard her several for several years on country music and was surprised to hear her this morning on my favorite morning show. Welcome MO to Houston's favorite morning radio show. Misty Be. She's been doing morning radio probably as long as me, no way. Well, but the thing about is I did other things. I did other shifts. You've done nothing but morning radio.

I don't know anybody that's been in radio that only did the one thing, like usually you bounce around. You said from your internship, you did morning radio.

I think you might have brought this up during our interview. There was this legendary morning show that were syndicated on just hundreds of radio stations, Bob and Tom in.

Indianapolis where their base were.

You associated with them.

I was one of their interns there for a while in the same building.

Yeah.

Now you don't even have to know who Bob and Tom were. And I don't think. One of them is not on the show anymore, but they kept the name Bob and Tom. Who's not on the show, the guy with the Dodgers hat. I don't know one of them, I forget.

Were they nice, Oh yeah, yeah, because they've been around a long time and they were a big show.

Yes, and they played by different roles kind of you know, if you had.

To guess though, they were on one hundred and fifty stations. Oh yeah, right, oh yeah.

And you were interning for.

Them, and they'd had comedians in and they had just like people from all over the country would make sure to stop actually into the studio, so it was really cool.

Yeah, and they would do like a lot of parody songs, this sort of thing.

And those guys were characters. They were cool to work with, cool guys. They were really respected in the in the radio industry.

So I know that you would. So that's where you cut your teeth started.

I hung banners at a strip club that said Bob and Tom on them.

That was my first day.

There was a There was a gal on the show. She's one of my best friends, Jessica. She also she interned for me in New Orleans. She came here after Katrina. She too, was hanging banners at a strip joint. Yes, girl, And it was the it was the big Christmas party at Visions Men's Club, right, and she comes over to the tables to like, oh my god, my godfather's here. So he's there, and then her dad walked in. Yeah, not knowing that she was going to be there or the radio station was going to be there.

That ruins, hey, daddy. Yeah, But that's how I knew I wanted to be in radio. Was hanging banners at a strip club.

I too hung banners, And that's when you knew.

And I drove, I drove the radio station vehicle, and I were, you know, with the morning show in Buffalo, and I just I would fill in if they were doing remote. I would like run the board for them or stuff like that. Now, when did you finally get on the air? So how quickly was the transition from bomb intern? When did you get on the air.

I went to another station for a second internship, and the morning show girl went out on maternity leave, so they had the intern mo in there and the lady never came back from her maternity leave. She wanted to stay home and be a mom. And I stepped in while I was in college and I locked in.

It's not a good like from the bottom worked my way up story, but kind of strip club if you're.

Because I think we've all been there. That's what I That's what I appreciate, appreciate about this is there's a lot of guys, I'll say, guys in radio that they didn't have to go and hang banners and like start in that in that role, and they kind of got into it and they were the person telling people where to hang the banners or not helping that kid in the van pull out the speaker and set up all this stuff and plug in the mic and stuff. You could tell that they never did it because they would

I was a prize pup. That's what we were called back when I was doing it. Oh, the prize pupp will do that, you know. And you're the guy that drives the van, you're hauling the speakers, me buffalo in the snow, all of that, you know what I mean? That type of thing, and there were guys that would kind of, you know, it was beneath them to do anything, let alone acknowledge that you were alive, let alone help
