Speaker 1

On Sky Leaves Australia. This is the Wider Penalty Show.

Speaker 2

Good evening and welcome to the Rita Patty Show. Coming up tonight. A rough weekend for the Australian left, with the Greens and Labor suffering significant swings against them in Victorian by elections.

Speaker 3

Gary Hardgrave will break down the results.

Speaker 2

Shortly, UFC boss Dana White unloads on the Australian media.

Speaker 3

We'll tell you why the outburst was entirely justified.

Speaker 2

President Donald Trump, who poses tariffs on Australian steel as his popularity source to new highs in the US press in Pimer.

Speaker 3

We'll begin to.

Speaker 2

Discuss that, and we'll look at the off field highlights and low lights off today's Super Bowl with President Trump cheered loudly while superstar Taylor Swift hopped loud booze and we never neglect left is losing it.

Speaker 3

Tonight starring Hollywood has.

Speaker 2

Been Richard Gere, who is shopped by democracy and i'men Shark.

Speaker 4

My Wayfer's in Shark. We roll in Shark. Who the people spoke and they elected this president.

Speaker 2

Well, let's start with the two by elections in Victoria over the weekend. The Greens suffered a devastating defeat in the seat of Paran, losing the seat to the Liberals on a margin of just over two percent. Conservative lobby group Advance has claimed some credit for the greens defeat after their campaign highlight of the fact that the Greens are no longer just a pro environment party or no,

they're a far left radical outfit. Meanwhile, Labor hemorrhage votes to the Liberal Party in the seat of Werribee, suffering a swing of just over ten percent. Labour's primary vote now is twenty eight percent in that heartland seat, but we're told we will not know for sure who.

Speaker 3

Has won Werribee for several days.

Speaker 2

Bizarrely, the Premier was all smiles on election night even as the awful numbers were rolling in. Joining me now is esteem geologist and author Professor Ian Plymer. Professor, let's start with the Prime Minister facing a revolt against his party in key heartland seats. There's tens of thousands of mining sector employees fear that Labour's anti mining stance and their unofficial coalition with the Greens is a threat to their livelihoods.

Speaker 3

Professor, are their fears justified?

Speaker 5

Well, they have been, and he's promising to make changes now, but it's too late.

Speaker 6

It's far too late. What he's hit the mining industry with is.

Speaker 5

The nature positive, which is basically a way of closing down everything. He's headed the mining industry with industrial relations such at the unions. Now basically he can control the profitability of an operation.

Speaker 6

Of energy costs and.

Speaker 5

All mining involves energy and massive environmental legislation which logjams everything. And he's got special legislation for critical minerals. He doesn't seem to understand that every mineral is critical, especially the energy minerals.

Speaker 6

So it's too little, too late.

Speaker 5

And he says he's going to make changes, Well, he told us we're going to get two hundred and seventy five dollars.

Speaker 6

Also, we haven't got that, so it's too late.

Speaker 2

Do you think it's going to cost labor seats in those areas, particularly say New South Wales where they've held those seats for a long time for decades, But that workforce is dependent on the mining industry, and they're worried, well.

Speaker 6

They are worried. They've got to be reason to be worried because he talks the.

Speaker 5

Talk, and that he is said, Oh, you know, this is a long term industry and we want to support it and we're doing everything we can to support it.

Speaker 6

But he doesn't understand that if I.

Speaker 5

Have a geological idea, by the time we get the tenements, do the drilling, do the economic evaluation, it is twenty five years now. You cannot have a government changing policy all the time. And over a twenty five year period before you start actually making some money, you can have many changes. And that's what Labour has done. He's got critical seats in the Newcastle area, especially the Upper Hunter, which he could lose because the Labor Party doesn't represent

the workers any longer. They represent inner city elites. They represent those people who drive their beamers and their porsches and worries so much about the environment. They never go out back. They've never been to a mine. They're anti mining, yet they've never been underground. They've never worked in the mine. I'm not even seen in mine. So he's catering to

those people and forgotten his core. And we saw that in the recent by elections in Victoria where Labor Party in Werriby has had a real shock.

Speaker 2

Oh absolutely, and that is part of their Heartland, Yes, very much until twenty four hours ago. Now, the President Trump's brought some bad news for Australia. He's going to be imposing eight twenty five percent tariff on Australian still and aluminium that's going to be exported to the States.

Speaker 3

What do you think about this?

Speaker 2

These tariffs coincide with Donald Trump putting green projects on hold, wasteful green projects about turbocharging, fossil fuel, investment, gas and all projects are being rapidly approved and projects that are worth over a billion US dollars.

Speaker 3

Are being fast tracked.

Speaker 2

A dramatically different approach to what we're seeing in Australia right now.

Speaker 5

Well, President Trumps concerned about the economy, and the economy relies on energy. It doesn't rely on locking up huge areas for green ideology. It doesn't rely on having green energy, which has always been uneconomic, has always been polluting. It relies on energy that's got a very large amount of grunt, like coal.

Speaker 6

And oil and nuclear.

Speaker 5

And in terms of negotiations with Trump with our aluminium steel industries, people should read his book The Art of the Deal, and then you'll understand what Donald Trump is about. Now we unfortunately are in the bad position of not having Joe Hockey to negotiate for us. We have probably one of the worst Prime ministers we've ever had, who is now the ambassador, and who has said some very disparaging things about the man he's going to negotiate with.

Speaker 6

We should get rid of our ambassador.

Speaker 2

Greater world raud is not going to be anywhere near these negotiations having there, that would just be they would be sealing our faith. I mean if we do something that stupid. But is there any leverage that we have? Is there anything that the Albanezy government can do to perhaps have a rethink here because we have seen the president announcer tariff and then when he gets what he actually wants.

Speaker 3

The tariff can be negotiated or go.

Speaker 6

Well.

Speaker 5

I don't think it's directed at Australia. We're small cheese in the whole business. But we have a balance of trade that is in the US's favor. And the second thing is that we are allies. To be allies, then we should be trading, and we should be trading basic things like steel and aluminium. We should also be trading manufactured goods. We've destroyed our manufacturing industry, especially in this state, Victoria,

We've totally destroyed it. So we're importing American vehicles. Some of these are the really noisy, heavy V eights, which are fabulous for the economy.

Speaker 6

People love them, but they're the biggest selling vehicles.

Speaker 3

Putting taxes on them.

Speaker 2

Now, he talked about President Trump turbocharging not just the mining industry, but manufacturing.

Speaker 3

Do you see the.

Speaker 2

US being on track not just for energy independence, but perhaps becoming an energy superpower?

Speaker 6

Yes, I do.

Speaker 5

They have a geology which is very favorable for producing gas and oil. They have small uranium deposits, so they've got to get uranium from elsewhere. But what America has is an energy and a positiveness and if there's something to be done, they can do it. Now we've lost that in Australia. Trump has revived it. And the America we see now is very different from the America of two years ago. We will never see a phenomenon like

Trump again. And the Americans must capitalize on this to become yet again a superpower with energy in the military, with all sorts of things.

Speaker 2

Now you were in the US for the inauguration. It's been three weeks now off Trump's second term. Do you see him maintaining this pace. It's been like nothing we have seen.

Speaker 3

Before is just been incredible.

Speaker 2

The media can barely keep up with it, the Democrats can barely keep up with it. They're just in meltdown mode. But it seems to be not just meticulous in its planning. It looks like his transition team has been working for years to implement these policies that he told us he was going to do, but also at the same time get rid of all the obstacles that he experienced in his first term to make sure there's going to be meaningful change this time around.

Speaker 5

Well, he's had four years to think about it, and he's used those years. Well, he's got a superb team around him. And I don't know how he does it on Hamburgers and Coca Cola.

Speaker 3

And no sleep.

Speaker 5

I mean, this man is a phenomenon and he is very focused and unlike any politicians we've ever seen in the past before, if he makes a promise, he actually sticks to it. And this is the problem we have in many Western democratic countries.

Speaker 2

Do you see just lastly Australia walking away from that zero. We've seen a reluctance from the coalition to commit to that before the election. Certainly Lay is clinging on for dear life. But do you see that happening? Because with America out of powers, with China, India the biggest polluter, is really not covered by the agreement, it's hard to understand why we're persisting.

Speaker 5

Well, carbon dioxide is not a pollutant, it's the gas of life, it's plant food. We will be isolated, we will be an energy backwater unless we follow. I think mister Dutton is focusing on a couple of policies. He doesn't want to frighten the horses. And as America evolves under President Trump, you will have no choice. He'll have to pull out of the absolute nonsense, which is scientifically invalid.

It's economically bankrupting, and it's hurting everyone. And I've always argued that it won't be the science that will change the argument. It will be the hip pocket and that's now hitting people hard in this country.

Speaker 3

For see em Plomer, thank you for your time tonight.

Speaker 6

Thank you for having me.

Speaker 3

Still to come.

Speaker 2

Left is losing it Plus President Donald Trump cheered loudly, while superstar Taylor Swift copped loud booze at the Super Bowl. Alex Stein is up legs, welcome back. Now it's time for lefties losing ed. We're going to get to some Super Bowl hijinks shortly, including Taylor Swift being booed aggressively while President Donald Trump was cheered loudly.

Speaker 3

Didn't that see the left melt down?

Speaker 2

But let's start with Democrat Maxine Waters, who, along with other demented democracy denying lefties, trying to break into the Department of Education and accosted a federal.

Speaker 3

Employee standing in their way. Watch this utter lunacy. Put them in the up. Come on, Oh your face up, look at them, let them see you, look at it. What's your name? Give me that idea again?

Speaker 6

So what I showed you?

Speaker 1

The idea?

Speaker 4

You do what I showed you the Let me see the id again?

Speaker 3

Will someone else ask him for the idea? Will you ask him for he won't let me see it again?

Speaker 2

Oh my god, someone give that man a big, fat pay rise.

Speaker 3

He deserves it.

Speaker 2

He's had a guardful of these juvenile antiques from Democrat geriatrics.

Speaker 3

Are you prepared to stand here all night?

Speaker 7

If we decided to stay I guess all right, well, you just stay right there you just stay in. Are you letting us go to that desk like we were able to do last year?

Speaker 3

He's you.

Speaker 6

Did elon?

Speaker 3

Must you?

Speaker 6

Now?

Speaker 3

Let's check in on Hollywood?

Speaker 2

Has been Richard Gear You know, the dude whose career highlight was playing a businessman who falls for a hooker.

Speaker 3

He picked up off the streets.

Speaker 2

He was in Spain for something called the Agoya Awards, and he felt the need to share some dangerously delusional thoughts about President Trump and his supporters.

Speaker 3

Are you in shock, Richard?

Speaker 4

And I'm in shark, My wife is in shark. We're all in shark. The people spoke and they elected this president, and that's a fact. But I don't even think the people who were elected him really believed that he was going to do what he said he was going to do.

Speaker 2

Just how thick, how dangerously out of touch does one need to be to not understand that Trump's supporters are ecstatic over the moon about his first three weeks.

Speaker 3

They prayed he would follow through and deliver on all those election promises, and he has.

Speaker 2

Now you may not like it if you're on the left, but deluding yourself into thinking that Trump's supporters are upset well, that's idiotic, but old Dick.

Speaker 3

Gear wasn't done yet. Listen to this tysoon rant.

Speaker 4

This is dark time in the US, and I think it's a time for everyone to stand up. And I was reading an article by someone Hungarian who watched things change so radically under Orbon, and he said to America better be vigilant because we didn't know how fast this would happen in Hungary. And I can see this happening very quickly. Now we have this incredibly dark marriage of power and money like we've never seen before, not.

Speaker 2

Only hysterical but completely wrong. The money was with the Democrats, it has been for a long time. The majority of billionaires where with the Democrats, including the likes of George Soros, Bill Gates, Mark Cuban, Michael Bloomberg, and many more. That's why Kamala Harris was able to outspend Trump by three to one. Here is some facts for Richard Gear from Enlist and best selling author Buttire Unga Sagon, who actually

relies on facts, not just feelings in hyperbole. Siro Trump won folks making under one hundred thousand dollars, while the Democrats won those making over one hundred thousand dollars. Biden had two billionaires to every one. Trump had two to one. Seventy five percent of hedge funders gave to Kamala nine out of the ten Riches counties, and sixty five percent that are making more than five hundred thousand.

Speaker 3

Well, they're represented by the Democrats.

Speaker 2

But Richard gear isn't going to let a little thing like inconvenient facts interrupt him, spewing far left nonsense.

Speaker 4

I'm coming for a place now that we're in a very dark place in America where we have a bully and a thug who is the president of the United States.

Speaker 3

Oh so asinine. And guess what he references that article he.

Speaker 2

Read from a Hungarian again, but this time it's just a reader's letter in the New York Times.

Speaker 4

But it's not just in the US, it's everywhere, everywhere. And I read a really moving letter in the New York Times from a gentleman and Hungary. And he was the slippery slope of how this happens everywhere. Authoritarianism takes us all over. We have to be vigilant, we have to be alert, we have to be energetic, we have to be brave, we have to be courageous.

Speaker 3

We have to be brave and courageous.

Speaker 2

These empty vessels like yeah are just so painfully dearm. I just wish they would listen to the sage words of advice from Ricky Gervais.

Speaker 3

Remember a few years ago when he told.

Speaker 8

Them this, If you do win an award tonight, don't use it as a platform to make a political speech. Right, You're in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thumberg.

Speaker 2

Okay, to the super Bowl, and before we look at actually happened, let's check in with a typical lefty Karen being miserable.

Speaker 7

If you are having trouble still deciding who you are going to root for this weekend in the Super Bowl, may I give you just a couple of things to ponder over and think about.

Speaker 9

The Chiefs kicker is Harrison Bucker, the same Harrison Bucker who went on a tangent last year and has said that women need to leave their jobs and just be mothers and their sole responsibility is to take.

Speaker 6

Care of men.

Speaker 7

He's also a huge Trump supporter and would be first in line to be a commander when the handmaid stale happens. Patrick Mahomes, who is the Chiefs quarterback, him and his wife both huge trumpers.

Speaker 2

Oh dear, here we have a privileged white woman lecturing and judging a black man, Patrick Mahomes on who he can support in an election. Goodness, smythe these lefties seem to be a little bit racist. Let's hear what other reasons she has for picking your Super Bowl team?

Speaker 7

Jaller Swift was born and raised an Eagles fan and the only reason that she is now a Chiefs fan is because her boyfriend plays for the team. She is always going to be an Eagles fan.

Speaker 2

Interesting mentioning Taylor Swift there watch here as the Kamala lover is a booed mercilessly her reaction is priceless. Today, Donald Trump became the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl and the reaction from the crowd was huge, huge, from the moment he entered the stadium and he left his watching, Can I suggest you divert your eyes now because I think this is going to just fill you with unbridled rage?

Speaker 6

Is an a drug?

Speaker 3

Love you, We love you?

Speaker 2

And even players were keen to shake the present sand. That was Chief Star Chris Jones. Now we heard the booze when Taylor Swift was on the big screen. Listen to what happened when President Donald Trump was put on the big screen at the stadium.

Speaker 3

That was fine.

Speaker 2

Now there will be plenty more lefties losing at content with my next guest, including the anthem funeral today. This is the way the national anthem was presented at the super Bowl. You see, it's a long way from Whitney, Houston, a long way from Chris Stapleton. Remember that a couple of years ago, that's ay before the anthem. But today the NFL again insisted on having what is called the Black National Anthem.

Speaker 3

Let's see how that went.

Speaker 2

There is no place for separate racial anthems. In my book, it's one nation, one flag, one anthem. Why is fourteen percent of the population in titled to an additional anthem? Joining me now is comedian and host of Prime Time with Alex Stein on Blaze TV. Alex Stein, Alex, what do you make of this anthem argument?

Speaker 10

Well, Rita, I think we actually need it now more than ever. Did you see that they don't have end racism in the end zone this year at the super Bowl. So, I mean, we need to do it so we can to buy racism. I know, we have to find it. It's our biggest problem, according to Jasmine Crockett, the congresswoman from Dallas, my neighborhood, So you.

Speaker 3

Know we need it.

Speaker 10

We need an anthem for every race. We need the Chinese anthem, we need every race, the Hispanic Mexican anthem. Everybody needs their own anthem. I don't care if it takes forty five minutes for the game, you.

Speaker 3

Forget about the game.

Speaker 2

Maybe just we skip the first half and just have the anthems of avery nationality that needs to be acknowledged.

Speaker 3

I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous.

Speaker 2

We had another first alex from Donald Trump today.

Speaker 6

That would be history.

Speaker 7

History already in the building tonight, as President Donald Trump becomes the first sitting.

Speaker 4

US president ever to attend a Super Bowl game live.

Speaker 2

Now, how was the reception he received. I've played some clips of him being cheered. All the clips I've seen have seen people cheering, players running to him to shake his hand. Contrast to that is the reception that superstar Taylor Swift got aggressive booing when she was on the big screen.

Speaker 3

Explain to me what is happening, Well.

Speaker 10

Rita, I mean, there's been a huge call, true shift. According to the mainstream media. Everybody will tell you that everybody just worships Taylor Swift, but that has changed. You saw Chris Jones, deemedtive lineman for the Chiefs, run to the sideline just to shake President Trump's hand before the game starting, so DeAndre Hopkins and African American athletes. When he got asked a leading question, are you excited for

President Trump to be there? And the media expected him to be mad about it, and he said, no, I'm excited. I voted for him. So the shift is happening right before our eyes, and it's unbelievable. It's a great thing to watch.

Speaker 2

It is a cultural shift, and I think it's taken a lot of people by surprise.

Speaker 3

Even people on.

Speaker 2

The right who thought that Donald Trump was going to win. They weren't anticipating this cultural shift. Having sports stars doing the Trump dance, Trump becoming cool. It's something that even a Trump derangement syndrome sufferer Bill Maher has spoken about that Trump's cool now. Rappers want to with him, athletes want to hang with him that the cultural shift has taken a lot of people by surprise.

Speaker 10

We'll read it. People love winners, and Donald Trump is a winner. So I'm not surprised that all the people that were long time Trump holdouts have finally gotten on the Trump train. It's a beautiful thing to see here in our country.

Speaker 3

Now.

Speaker 2

We'll get to some polling numbers shortly, and they're interesting indeed. But I've got one last thing to show you from the super Bowl. Every year, the ads are a highlight. Millions and millions are spent to come up with the best ads every year. This year, the Secret Service put out a recruitment ad produced by Hollywood director Michael Bay. It's quite something.

Speaker 3

Have a look.

Speaker 1

America was founded on an idea of freedom. America has always stepped forward in time of need throughout our short but powerful history.

Speaker 5

And not what your country can do for you and what you can do for your country turned down this one.

Speaker 1

We've been there for all of it, on.

Speaker 6

The second plane at the Tower.

Speaker 1

Our heroes are humble. We have an enterpride to keep this idea alive. Protectors are born, they're not made. The America's Secret Service protecting this super Bowl is asking a few more to step forward.

Speaker 3

It's all about patriotism.

Speaker 2

It's the sort of ad we didn't expect to say anymore on TV, certainly not a Super.

Speaker 3

Bowl ad like that. Tell me about that.

Speaker 2

Changing the institutions, whether it's the Sacred Service, we're talking about, reforming the FBI, CIA, Justice Department, getting these mad idea logus out of there and returning them to their former glory, is all of that, which is really very much part of the Trump agenda.

Speaker 3

Is it achievable?

Speaker 10

Well, I do think it's achievable. And listen, the Secret Service. They have to do a total overhaul of their public relations because we've lost faith in them when you saw Donald Trump get shot in his ear and you saw a few women they didn't even know how to take out their gun from their holster. They have to do whatever they can to gain the American people's trust again. So you know, I like that commercial. You didn't see

a lot of women in it. Not that I don't want women being in the Secret Service, but I'm just saying, at least that commercial seemed like it was honest of the people that I want protecting their president. So yes, I do think it's achievable, Rita, We've got four years. And you know, now looking back, it was the greatest thing that Trump didn't win in twenty twenty because we got to see how terrible Joe Biden is and how

much stuff we need change. It's all going to get fixed, and it's going to take some time, but in four years, I do think Donald Trump could do it.

Speaker 2

I think you make an excellent point there, and I mean, no one would have said that back then who was in the Trump camp.

Speaker 3

But in many.

Speaker 2

Ways that loss was a blessing because they'd really opened their eyes to just how.

Speaker 3

Deep the bureaucracy issues.

Speaker 2

Are, how much they were white aunted, and the corruption that exists in DC. And they had four years to carefully formulate a plan to overcome all that. And you wonder if they won in twenty twenty, where there was going to be really any different from the first term, where every step had just so many hurdles in front of it. Let's talk about these polling numbers, starting with the President Trump's approval rating now at fifty three percent,

a six percent. This is CBS News polling. This is the highest approval rating for President Trump in CBS polling history and alex When it comes to the big issues like a deportation policy, which people expected to be really contentious, well the numbers are even more promising. When asked do you approve or disapprove of the Trump administration's program to find and deport immigrants.

Speaker 3

Who are in the US illegally.

Speaker 2

The approval number there is fifty nine percent, up eighteen percent, and the numbers are up for every age group you're looking at, from eighteen year olds all the way to sixty five plus. This has got to be terrifying the Democrats and the media and activist class.

Speaker 10

No, you're exactly right. The media is shaking in their boots. That's why they're constantly talking about the price of eggs, as if inflation wasn't absolutely terrible under Joe Biden Kambla Harris for the past four years. So the media is doing anything they possibly can to try to spin this presidency as a negative thing, when in reality, everybody's happy that illegal immigrants are actually getting sent back to their

home countries. Not because we're bigoted or racist or we don't even want immigrants, but because we don't want to have a two tiered justice system. Where illegal immigrants or have more access to social services, and American citizens, like people in Chicago, African Americans don't have access to the same social services that an illegal immigrant does. So people are sick and tired of our two tiered justicism that

puts Americans last. So it's brilliant, it's great, and these numbers are only going to go up when Trump can actually get more things accomplished.

Speaker 2

Well, this next poll should really terrify the Democrats. This is where they asked voters to describe Donald Trump. These are the top responses. Have a look at the list. This is the top ones. This isn't just the he won sixty nine percent, tough, sixty three percent, energetic, sixty percent, focus, fifty eight percent effective. Though the top responses are all positive,

they're all traits you want in a president. So despite the overwhelming negative response to every policy, whether it's the border, whether it's deportations, where it's usaid and we've got to talk about that, the public seems to be disregarding the noise, the hysteria from the media and the activist class and saying, so far we like what we see.

Speaker 10

Oh one hundred percent, and honestly, Donald Trump's very tough, but his energy is just on match a man at his age. The way that he moves and travels on a daily basis is unlike any twenty year old. Anybody in their prime cannot have the same level of energy as Donald Trump. So people notice that I would put and I'm not trying to kiss his but I would put smart because he's a brilliant, brilliant guy, and they do not give him enough credit for how smart Donald

Trump is. So that would be my number one adjective when it comes to the president.

Speaker 2

Well, I've got to say I've been surprised by how easily he's been able to get what he wants. Whether he's talking with about Canada or Mexico or Columbia.

Speaker 3

He makes a threat, they have a.

Speaker 2

Bit of a meltdown, but within twenty four hours they're doing what he's asked for. And that's another win for the US. I mentioned us AID, US AID that is becoming a big issue that Democrats are doubling down saying the funding here is necessary, it saves lives, it is not wasteful, it's not corrupt. But the more we learn about where American taxpayers money might have has gone around the world with this program. I think the more dangerous it is for the Democrats to defend it.

Speaker 3

Alex Oh one percent.

Speaker 10

I mean they're making Sesame Street in Iraq, They're doing gender studies in countries where women aren't even allowed to drive a car. So it's just absurd the money that we've wasted trying to indoctrinate foreign countries when people here in America are struggling every day. So yeah, there's no excuse for the USAID program.

Speaker 3

Alex Stein, thanks for your time tonight.

Speaker 10

Always a pleasure. Thank you for having me read it. Talk to you again soon.

Speaker 3

Still to come.

Speaker 2

Travis Kelcey slamm for attending the Super Bowl looking like a seventies porn star.

Speaker 3

Kimsey Schofield joins me next. Welcome back.

Speaker 2

Joining me now is celebrity and royal commentator Kinsey Schofield. Kinsey Donald Trump has told The New York Post that he is not going to be deporting Prince Harry.

Speaker 3

He told the paper, I.

Speaker 2

Don't want to do that. I'll leave him alone. He's got enough problems with his wife.

Speaker 3

She's terrible.

Speaker 2

And he also added this, I think poor Harry is being led around by the nose. I've got to say, Kinsey, I was laughing out lad literally reading this article.

Speaker 3

He's the funniest president we're ever going to see.

Speaker 11

He truly is.

Speaker 12

He also used the opportunity to take an additional swipe at Harry by praising Prince William, saying I think William is a great young man. Hours after President Trump made these comments, Harry used his opening speech at the Invictus Games to.

Speaker 11

Criticize weak moral character.

Speaker 12

I'd say that I don't take those kinds of comments seriously from a man I've seen in a Nazi costume.

Speaker 11

But you know what do I know?

Speaker 3

Now?

Speaker 2

Meghan markles coppted them backlash after apparently moving a Team Canada members by grabbing their wheelchair and maneuvering them without permission.

Speaker 3

Please tell me this story is not accurate.

Speaker 11

This sounds crazy, This is horrifically true.

Speaker 12

You know, Megan, in the video, she appears to move this woman's wheelchair without asking her permission, and the individual stops mid conversation, kind of shocked as Megan moves her towards the group for a photo. Because you know, no one loves to document their good deeds more than Megan Markle. Internet backlash was fierce. Meghan has the social skills of a caffeinated Shitsu. I just I don't understand how she thought that that was appropriate at all.

Speaker 2

No, I think she just saw someone in a wheelchair and cameras and just rushed deep without thinking. Now, Kinsey, it seems Tyler Swift and Blake Lively's friendship is on the rocks. According to TMZ, Tyler deliberately left Blake off her invite list for the Super Bowl, leaving the Daily maus Mare in Callahan to conclude, no celebrity apparently is more transactional than Taylor Swift.

Speaker 3

Not one seems.

Speaker 2

More cold blooded, more lizardly, more willing to leave loved ones behind, and should they threaten her so called Miss Americana brand.

Speaker 3

It's pretty rough. I mean, I'm not a massive.

Speaker 2

Taylor Swift defender, but that's a pretty rough characterization. I think we know why Taylor Swift is angry that text message Blake sent to Justin Baldoni referring to herself as the mutter of dragons and Taylor as one of her dragons.

Speaker 3

But with the booing.

Speaker 2

Taylor copped Kinsey, probably Blake Lively is happy she wasn't.

Speaker 11

There, right, That's so true.

Speaker 12

You know, Taylor went through that horrible dark time against Kanye and Kim, and I think she sees, you know, a very similar situation happening with Bleake and just and just does not want to be associated with it.

Speaker 11

But you said it last week.

Speaker 12

That's not what girlfriends do, especially when you're in a position like Taylor Swift. Taylor could say one word and change a lot of people's hearts. I'm not saying she should because I'm team Justin, but Taylor has that power.

Speaker 2

Now we've got Travis Kelcey, Taylor Swift's boyfriend. He was mocked today for the outfit he chose to wear as he arrived at the super Bowl.

Speaker 3

How he was dressed.

Speaker 2

I mean, he looks like, I don't know, some sort of seventies porn star kinzie.

Speaker 12

You know, Travis Kelcey might not have his fourth super Bowl ring, but he clearly does have a black belt and polyester. You know, he was criticized for partying with Taylor Swift before in the days leading up to the super Bowl, and he looks silly he didn't win. You're going to see that pylon happening over the next few days. The outfit didn't help it. Are you taking this seriously enough? Is what people are going to ask.

Speaker 2

Now, there was this rumor doing the rounds. I don't know if there was any truth to it that if he had won. We saw the last time when he played and he won and he got up and sang, and I don't know. Taler Swift actually looked pretty embarrassed during that entire performance. But the rumor was Kinsey that if they won, he was going to propose on that stage getting his Super Bowl ring. Any truth to that or just mad scuttle, But.

Speaker 12

These two are so show bearz. I can absolutely see that happening. So now where is he going to find the next opportunity to do that where there will be cameras and they can take advantage of all the pr that they just organically generate.

Speaker 2

Well, I think Taylor Swift was a little bit shocked to that. I played the footage earlier of her being booed and her reaction to it, the side eye she gave to the person she was with. I think she was taken aback that there was such loud, aggressive booze against her. So her brand I think isn't as golden as the media.

Speaker 3

Would have you believe.

Speaker 2

She's a polarizing figure. She's got obviously millions of fans, but also millions who I think are just sort of sick of her. Let's talk about Donald Trump. He had a game with Tiger Woods. They played a spot of golf together before the super Bowl.

Speaker 12

Yeah, nice to see two goats in the wild. Charlie Woods, a Tiger's son, was also there. He's considered a great junior golfer. And you know, you saw the reaction to Donald Trump when he entered the super Bowl and when.

Speaker 11

His face was shown on the screen. Times are changing.

Speaker 12

It's you are okay to hang out with the president today. You could not see that a few years ago. So you are seeing high profile people like Harwood's re engage.

Speaker 3

Absolutely now.

Speaker 2

Rapper Kendrick Lamar's super Bowl halftime performance has been slammed by some as the worst halftime show ever.

Speaker 3

Let's have a quick look.

Speaker 9

Broat free Man Damn coming in and lamp tell him brief TETI boys book around like peas.

Speaker 3

What's some of these you're calling your kinsey? What did you think of it?

Speaker 2

I've got to say it was just sort of in the background. I wasn't paying attention to the halftime performance, so it's a rare time where I'm going to be on the fence.

Speaker 11

It was incredibly unremarkable.

Speaker 12

You know, New Orleans has an incredible culture when it comes to music, and some of today's greatest artists come from Louisiana.

Speaker 11

Why can Kendrick Lamar? Where was Lil Wayne? That's what I would ask, Yeah.

Speaker 2

And the point was also made that this is an artist who much of the US couldn't name a single song. So normally that halftime performance is for bonafide superstars who have just got mass appeal. So whether you like them or not, you know their songs, They're going to be playing some music that you're familiar with. But I think that one was a peculiar choice. But I'm going to reserve judgment until I've actually looked at the performance properly. Kinsiscofield,

thanks for joining us, and that's it for me. Tonight up next is Newsnight. I'll see you at eleven tomorrow.
